As far as costumes for kids go, the quality of this one is a little better than most. I like that it's lined and that there are a few pieces. The multiple pieces (hat, booties, and bodysuit) work well for toddlers who might only put up with part of the suit. I washed the outfit after Halloween and line-dried it. It came out looking great, so maybe another kid will be able to wear it next year.

The design of the outfit is darling. The little bow is a great touch. The ears and tail wobble in all the cutest ways when your little one walks in this. We put it back on the day after Halloween to get some more pictures and a few more giggles for the parents!

We bought the 6-12 month size for our ~14# 7 month old. It looked like the pictures and was very cute on. The body was really large on our daughter, but the hood fit perfectly (so might be small on babies that fit the body portion) and the "hoof booties" stayed on well. We found the costume a little too warm for indoor parties so our daughter ended up being a "shorn" sheep, which was pretty cute too. I would prefer the bow was smaller, and/or removable, and the "dip" in the forehead better edged (it is a little rougher than in the photos) but all in all we liked the costume.

This is a pretty cute costume. My son is a 2T and the costume fit very well. It actually had a little room to spare, however, the hat was way way way too small. But by cutting the material under the chin and sewing a ribbon to tie it worked out great. Good quality!

We got this for our 3 month old (long and skinny). It was loose on her width-wise, but fit pretty well length-wise. The legs tended to ride up when we held her, so I'd suggest leggings or something underneath if it's chilly outside. The "hooves" were huge for her, but still stayed on. Overall, a really cute suit, decently made, easy to wash.

There is something really engaging about this doll, I nearly wanted one for myself! It was a present for my little grand daughter who is just 10 months old. She loves it, she had an immediate attraction. This toy is safe, so she does what babies do, puts it in her mouth. It is easy to hold with the skinny arms & legs but still has enough volume to give comfort. It's really a super little doll. She can bite it, swing it around when she's excited, snuggle with it at bedtime. No hard or toxic bits on this toy. I recommend it without condition.

I looked over many items on Amazon and in local stores for the perfect lovey for my 6 month old daughter and I thought I'd found it. When it arrived, however, it was a little smaller than I'd hoped. No matter... I still thought it was cute and she'd enjoy snuggling with it. Then I washed it. While the outside did get softer as promised, the inside stuffing lumped up, leaving unfilled areas in the arms and legs. The little bunny's dress also curled up where stitched on the ends (I even removed it from the dryer when damp to smooth out the dress). If you are looking for a stuffed animal that looks cute sitting in a corner untouched, she's perfect; however, I don't think this little bunny is up to the wear and tear given by a small child or the washings needed over time.

I love to order bunnies for babies because my son became attached to one at the age of three months, and still has it stuffed in a dresser drawer, even at 17. I'm very particular about the shapes and fabrics, though. This bunny seemed to fit the bill, but when it arrived, it turned out to be much smaller than I had anticipated. I'm sure the fault is mine, as I had read a zillion product descriptions by the time I found it, but I wish it were bigger, the better to cuddle. Otherwise, it's terrific: soft, safe, and a potentially perfect companion--at least for awhile.

My son, now 24, had the Puffalump Dog (Blue Baby) when he was a baby. He was never without it until he started kindergarten, which speaks volumes as to there durability. He and his wife are now about to give birth to a baby girl and I was soooo happy to find one for my grand-daughter. Fisher-Price Little People Nativity

This is a great Nativity Set for a toddler. It is durable, cute and my daughter played with it for hours. It is the same high quality as other "little people" toys. It was a little more than I wanted to spend on a children's nativity set, but it will probably last a lot longer than less expensive models.

I was looking for a set that had baby Jesus separate from the crib. Based on the description, I thought that was the case with this set, but that is not the case. Other than that, the set is fine for my 2 year old to look and play with.

I got my set at Target in 2011. Since then I have realized that there are a lot of sets and varations out there. Some stores get some sets (the one I bought was a "target exclusive") and other stores get other sets. Fisher-Price keeps the best sets as their on-line exclusives.

My set takes no batteries and sings no songs and the are no lights or sound effects. I actually prefer it to the sets I have seen with more bells and whistles. It is a nice simple toy she can play with and we do not have to worry about the batteries or her pressing buttons too hard or anything like that. I do wish I could have gotten a single little shepard since I do have a sheep in the manger and I wish someone was there to watch out for him.

Last year my kid crawled over to it and sucked on the pieces and seemed to throw St. Joeseph the most. This year she is big into dolls so she spent a lot of time picking up Jesus and hugging him and kissing him and pointing out to me that he was "a baby. look a baby". she also enjoyed the Angel a lot since it was neither man nor bird. That is something we can work on for next year. She liked to make sure he was squarley ontop of the manger at all times and I have to admit I kept teasing her by switching him out with the animals or other figureines. she always put him right back and usually told me "no !".

All in all, I'd say to shop around and see what level of set you need and how many figures you must have or can live without and then do some research. Amazon sells all these sets but as many are from resellers and third parties, the prices and the componants will vary greatly.

I purchased this nativity set for all four households with grandkids for CHRISTmas 2011. I was happy to find a supplemental "shepard and sheep set" since that wasn't included in this set. The grandkids are all happy (moms and dads too!) but I just recieved the Fisher Price catalog and they have retooled the entire set. Now it makes sounds and plays "Away in the Manger" and "Silent Night." The manger glows. The angel spins on a track on the roof. But it has fewer characters...the wise men are absent....but they didn't come with tents in the first set anyway. You still have to buy the wise men set and the shepard set if you want it to be "complete." That ups the price by at least $30.

Not sure how I feel about this since it was close to $175 to outfit four households with the "old" set plus the "shepard set." Personally, I think the older one may be better, more durable. As we "antique moms" know....the bells and whistles eventually break so maybe the absence of them on the older set was a good thing. When it comes down to it....as long as the kids learn the story and have creative play then it doesn't really matter. In this case newer may not be better....or cheaper.

PS: If you want the supplemental sets do your research. I found them for half the price outside of Amazon.

PPS: Also, for unclear reasons, my son'd dachshund LOVES to chew on any of my granddaughter's Little People characters. Not sure why but you may want to be cautious until you can determine if your dog finds them irresistable too.

I got this as a new bath toy, but it's not that great for the bath. They fill up with water and start sinking and once that happens you can hardly hear the music. The toy is fine out of the bathtub. I'm not really sure why it's marketed for bathtime. Anyway, I also don't like how the on/off is a push button. My son just pushes that so all you keep hearing is "It's music time! It's learning time! Bye-Bye!" over and over.

My sister bought this for my son's first birthday. He loved it as soon as he saw it. Once he started playing with it, though, he lost interest fast. The first time he took a bath with it, I found out it wasn't as awesome as I thought it would be. First of all, the "music" is just some quick notes/words, and there isn't a huge selection of melodies... second, you have to tap/hit it pretty hard to make it work and Third, you cannot hear it, as soon as it goes in the water, which is kind of funny, since its a bath toy...it still lights up, but the minute your child pushes it in the water, its totally impossible to hear anything...but the lights still work, so I guess its better than nothing. I would give it less stars, but, if you use it out of the tub, its. not a *horrible* toy, but I def would not buy this for anyone or suggest it as a good toy for your childs bath : (

I purchased the 3 matching puppy pieces for my friend's baby. I love the puppy doll with his cute polka dot shorts, the matching ring rattle and the very soft "cuddly" blanket doll. The blanket puppy has polka dots on one side and and a soft choclate brown jersy knit on the other side. I like the four knotted ends as they are great for teething. It also has a rattle in it's head. My friend (and I) are very happy that all the toys are made from organic materials. We both worry about what's in toys the kids chew on while teething. Gund Sesame Street Everyday Feel Better Elmo 14" Toy

We gave our 3-year old this Gund Elmo after a day where he earned all of his gold stars on his rewards chart (something I would have a hard time doing). He loves Elmo, and immediately took him, finding the squeezy-spot to make him speak within seconds. Okay, so our first mistake was giving him Elmo AT bedtime. The next two hours were "aahhh---chooo!" "Elmo would feel better if you hold Elmo's hand" and the other three phrases. Five short phrases (including the sneeze!) wear thin quickly.

But the big news is this, and I capitalize this because it is so important: THERE IS NO WAY TO REPLACE THE BATTERIES WHEN THEY DIE. Elmo will fall silent permanently once the pre-installed batteries wear out. When I looked and found no way to replace them, I went back to the Amazon page, and sure enough, even Gund says it; "parents should be aware that the Feel Better Elmo does not have an on/off switch, and there is no way to change the pre-installed battery."

So here is cute Elmo, who my little boy loves from Sesame Street, and one day fairly soon, he will lose his voice. Not that I love changing batteries on toys, but that is kind of disappointing!

Also important; Elmo can't be machine washed, of course, due to the batteries that soon will be useless anyway. His robe and the tissue box are secured tightly; you can only "surface wash."

The Chinese construction of Elmo isn't bad, really, but why spend $27 or so for what amounts to a temporary version of a doll? I like the idea of my little boy hugging Elmo when he's not feeling well and getting ready for some rest, but as a toy, and even as a stuffed animal, this version of Elmo falls short. I can't really recommend it.

Elmo is always a star and this time is no exception, with the same cuddly body and shrill little voice, but with a box of tissues and a few "Elmo" sneezes. Wrapped in a soft blue bathrobe, Elmo is ready for bed or a nap or for comfort if a little one is having the sniffles too. There's a reason Elmo is so appealing to childrenand adultsan unconditional repetition of "Elmo loves you!" My granddaughter loved him years ago when she was little and in the hospital, weeks when Elmo cheered everybody up in movie cassettes we played over and over. Now there is another grandbaby waiting to to discover Elmo's charms and this toy will be her first introduction. As far as I'm concerned, Elmo is always a star. Luan Gaines/2012.

I bought this stuffed Cairn Terrier for my mother, who is suffering from dementia/alzheimer's. My mother had to give up her "real-life" dog (to me, her daughter). The first night my mother had the stuffed dog, she thought it was real. She named it after turning it over to make she it was a girl!

Fisher Price Peek a Blocks

My daughter has a ton of the peek-a-blocks, and she just LOVES them! When I read the review saying they are dangerous, I had to add my two cents :) First of all, I don't know what the person means by saying the blocks have sharp edges, I have never noticed anything sharp on the blocks, EVER. And as for their child getting hurt by falling on the blocks, that could happen with anything,doesnt mean it's the blocks fault. My daughter fell the other day and smacked her mouth on the floor, causing her teeth to go through her lip. There were no toys around, so should be call floors dangerous too? Just seems a ridiculous claim really. Children fall and get hurt all the time, its part of childhood. After 5 kids, I've learned that lesson well! :) All in all I have to say that I think the Peek-a-blocks are the greatest! I don't see them as a danger in any kind of way! In fact I am buying her even more of them for christmas this year :) Hope this helps!

My daughter is 11 months old. I was thrilled when she got all of the peek a blocks for the holidays but no one got her this circus themed one so I went to get it myself. I love it! She loves it! All of the blocks are interesting and fun filled but the circus blocks are the best, so colorful, and each has its own tiny surprise inside. The big top case is the best because the other blocks are in a plastic container having no where to put them and this holds them as a convenienent carrier, great purchase. She will surely enjoy these for years to come. She is teething now so they go in her mouth and I am so happy that there is nothing she can break or damage or swallow. They were made with our kids in mind, get them!

Please be careful when buying this toy. The yellow handle and red box to store the blocks in is not designed very well and little children (and adults) can pinch their fingers when pushing the handle upright. The red box also has sharp corners. Not a good design (my husband regularly puts it out of our 11-month-old's reach.) I'm just going to throw it out.

My son has several peek a block sets. He plays with them all equally. He uses the tray that comes with this set to carry his blocks around the house. He also has the ocean blocks and he uses the tray that comes with it for carrying the blocks. We started buying peek a blocks when he was 1 year old now he's 2 1/2 years old and these are one of the few things he plays with everyday. At first he just stacked them but after a few tries he figured out how to turn the wheels to make the things inside move. We haven't had any problems with the tray pinching his fingers. I don't think the edges of the blocks are any sharper than regular wood blocks. Any time a child falls on a hard toy they're going to get hurt. I don't feel these toys are dangerous as long as you supervise while your child is playing with them.

Mud Pie Baby Little Princess Pink Woobie

I was so excited when I received this woobie. The first time I washed it got stuck on something and now there are several pulls in the satin, which left a bunch of strings hanging out. And I am concerned they could cause a choking hazard. Although this woobie is super soft and light weight it was ruined in the wash and now I am going to have to throw it away. I would not recommend this blanket to someone who is looking for something to last.

My daughter has been using this blankie every night since she was about 6 months old. She is 11 months old now so I'm purchasing another one as a back-up while I wash the other one as she uses it for naps as well. Very soft little blankie...she loves it!

Gund Baby My First Teddy-Medium-Blue

I don't have human children; however, I have been the mother to two cocker spaniels. I bought a large "Gund My First Teddy Bear", 14 years ago, for my first puppy when he was just a few months old. Even though he has since passed away, I still have his first MFT. I also purchased a large pink MFT for the Christening of a friend's little girl. Although the texture of the MFT has changed in the last 9 years such that this latest version isn't exactly the same as those that I purchased for my cocker and friend's child, it is still very durable and washable. This is great for those who have pets since conventional pet plush toys will disintegrate in a matter of days due to fact that pets will chew them. Being "baby safe" makes this toy safe for pets as there are no eyes or beads to become choking hazards. I purchased the medium size for my second cocker because he was having difficulty carrying the large, hand-me-down, 14 year old MFT. He loves it. I love it too as it is a great value. I know from experience that it will last through years of throwing, pulling, chewing and washing.

My Grandson has had this bear for about 5-months now. It has been washed numerous times and still looks great. My only complaint is the color. My 28 year old daughter still has her washable white puppy and it still looks great. He hasn't taken to it as well as the Mary Meyer. It is nice and soft.
