Haba Allegro Stacking Ball

This ball made it through the washer ok. My 11 mo daughter does like to roll it and take pieces off. The shape has held up for four weeks, tho I have concerns about how long it can stand being taken apart and still mold back together.

I am very disappointed that this toy was made in China. Haba was my go-to toy company for nice gifts because of the eco-friendly and child safe features, underscored by the made-in-Germany aspect. Maybe it is foolish of me to trust German toys more than Chinese, but if all Haba toys become made in China I will stop buying them.

I got this for my niece as a Christmas present. She is about 10 months old, and she has been having a blast tearing this ball apart and putting it back together. It's soft, well made, and aesthetically pleasing. My niece about the extent of my experience with kids this age, but she seems to love this, and other Haba toys she's received. Great product, easily recommended.

I bought this soft ball for my baby-girl since her four month, and played the ball with her by her tummy time. She loves to trace the ball by eyesight at the beginning. And now as she is almost six months, she shows more interest of pushing and catching the ball on the gym mat(rather than other toys which are stable there). And the material is very safe for her, we all love it!!

SoftPlay Peek-A-Boo Where's Elmo A Children's Book

This Elmo book is a hit with my little one and she especially loves lifting the flaps on this soft book. She loves the colors and patterns, too. You just toss it in the washer it's great!

My baby absolutely loves Elmo and so this book seemed perfect for her. I'm happy to say I was right: this book is nice and soft and beautifully illustrated so my little one takes it everywhere and "reads" it all of the time. While Elmo is the main character of because he hides on each page, other Sesame Street characters are also featured which is fun, too. Another great, interactive, Elmo centric book that I would recommend for the Sesame Street/Elmo lovers is "Twinkle, Twinkle Elmo" (which is also available on Amazon for a great price).

I learned about this product while watching Bethany Frankel's TV show. The creator, who is a professional photographer, was featured and I thought if Bethany felt comfortable to have her on there then there must be something to it. I'm a prof photographer in my own mind and made my husband get me all the gear. I figure a few great pics is worth more than a ton of eyes closed, heads turned etc. and this product has really helped me step-up my game. My 2-yr old loves this dog and it's one she can really relate to (we have 3)!! It's really great when her little friends are over and I can get 2/3 toddler's eyes all looking at me at the same time...which I had pretty much written off!!! Not sure why the previous reviewer claims it doesn't fit on the larger lenses, it fits mine just fine. I usually don't review items but this product has really helped me and I felt the previous reviewer was wrong about the limits of the product. Hope this helps!!

This little Giraffe, accomplishes the job of having the child's eyes on the camera!It's a little tough to put on the lens at times, and sometimes gets in way of the flash. Other than that, it's great!

It is functional in getting your child to look at the camera. That's what it's made to do! Well, I never thought of the fact that if I got down on my child's level that she was going to just grab at my lens now. Instead of looking at it and being entertained and smiling she ends up going for it. Overall, a great idea that just doesn't pan out in practice. Still, not a bad product for a few quick shot uses.

This was really fun to use with kids. They responded really well to it. The only bad thing is if you are using the pop up flash on your camera, then the head blocks it.

I just have to say that I really think this is an awesome product and it really does help direct your kids' attention to the camera. This is a very cute alternative to just squirties in the bath. My daughter loves having me sprinkle her with the ball character and squirt is pretty big and floats in the bath. Overall, I think this is a nice durable bath toy that my daughter will enjoy playing with for a long time.

Cute product, just a little difficult to get unscrewed. Grandchild enjoys them with her little baths! Love that turtle, so cute.

Got these as a lightning deal and so the price was right. Just be warned, these toys are big. I was expecting small little toys that could fit in a 6 months old hand. I guess I didn't read that part. The turtle is like 8 inches big. So for now, my daughter plays with Nemo and the smaller parts until she is older then I will give her all the toys for her bath. It's cute though!

Fisher-Price Little People Disney Princess: Ariel's Coach

My 3-year old daughter has the Fisher-Price Little People Princess Palace Fisher-Price Little People Disney Princess Songs Palace which is one of her all-time favorites. In fact, she loved it so much that we (my wife and me) thought that the Ariel Coach would be the perfect accessory. While it is fun it doesn't quite reach the level of the Princess Palace.

Notes -

When you press Sebastian you get a variety of sound effect, and the occasional playing of the song "Under the Sea"

The carriage/coach has spots for both Ariel and Eric, but unfortunately, they do not fit snugly in their seats. So when they go on rides in their coach they have a tendency to fall out.

I worry about the long-term durability of the coach. It seems like the connection between the coach and the seahorse is weak and could snap.

When placed in the Princess Palace Ariel is fully interactive and has 5 or 6 saying. Eric on the other hand, only plays the dance music (and for what it is worth.... just like beast)...nothing more or nothing else.

The wheel on the sea horse is not perfectly round (on purpose) so that it gives the impression that seahorse is swimming through the water.

Batteries are included and it does not require any assembly.

Final Verdict A nice accessory to the Disney Princess Palace, but it certainly does not offer the same long-term as the castle. I would certainly recommend it to fans of "The Little Mermaid", but for others you may find that Ariel and Eric get played with more than the Carriage/Coach.

Not the most "fun" of toys for the money when it comes to little people toys. I would rate it okay. Wish it played more than the 4 short tidbits that it does. My daughter just keeps hitting the button to listen to the same little segment over and over so I just wish that was a little longer. These little people do not have the same shape as the other little people and fall out of the coach all the time.

UPDATE Jan 21, 2013:

My daughter loves to play with Ariel and Eric but really only with the princess palace. I understand the reasoning behind why the bottoms are the way they are but she doesn't really play with the coach at all because the figures constantly fall out. I'll keep it at 3 stars though because they are pretty cool to put in the palace. :)

My daughter in nearing 4 and very interested in the Disney princesses. That said, I am not sure the age span for this as noted "5yrs"...Little people products are very durable and have held up nicely in the past, but do seem a little for younger children. That said, my daughter is more interested in the "character" aspect of Ariel and Eric than anything. She'll play with this for a good amount of time.

We have the Princess Castle and I thought my child would enjoy this coach since she LOVES Ariel. The person who designed this obviously didn't ever play with it. These Little People have a different bottom than regular Little People. The place where Ariel and Eric sit do not hold them into place. If you try to make the coach drive around with them, they come flying out. If you have other Little People, they will stay in it, but that is hardly the point.

Oh, and you might want to know that the Ariel that comes with it does work with the castle, but it says the same thing as the other Ariel wearing the pink dress. I actually found this on the Walmart website and only paid $10. It really isn't worth much more than that.

Bought this for my 21 month old son for christmas. He loves it. The only thing I would change about this toy is that it has motion, lights and music, or lights and music; but its a gear toy. Why does it have a music only choice? It should have a motion, no music choice instead.

It is a hit though and I would recomend it to others.

Your baby is not going to be happy with a toy phone that obviously looks like a toy. This is the most realistic looking toy phone out there. We had to return the first one that we bought at a brick and mortar because it stopped after a few days.This is probably because of all of the customers "testing" it. The brick and mortar was out of stock so we ordered from Amazon for a few dollars more. The second phone is still working great after a month.You can record your own message to the baby and then lock it so she is less likely to accidentally erase it. It comes with several other messages and will "call" the baby by ringing a few seconds after it is closed. It has two short tunes that I wish were a bit longer. Even if this one would have died quickly we would have kept it for looks alone.

I love this purchase. My daughter has finally stopped trying to take my cell phone now. What a great idea.

From the moment our 16 month old saw it, she loved it. Everytime she sees it she smiles and giggles, sits on the floor with it and starts to push the buttons. When she gets music she sways along with it. It is just so cute to watch and it makes us all laugh. I highly recommend this little phone. Just the right size for tiny hands and thick enough for them to get a good grip on it.

Kathe Kruse Shaking Goose Rattle

This is very darling....my 4 month old daughter loves the "squawking" noise it makes. It's pretty small, though, which is why I gave it only 4 of 5 stars. On the other hand, the size makes it better for smaller babies to hold. I'd recommend Kathe Kruse toys to anyone. Very high quality and not like all the junk you can buy in big box stores.

Blossoms Pram Decoration

Extremely cute toy a little funny how it attaches with the beads you are just supposed to wrap around something. They don't want to use velcro? not sure. All in all it seems durable nothing has come off or broken. My daughter (5 1/2) months loves playing with it. She bats at it and chews on the leaves. One leaf pieces came off but I just tied it back on with no trouble and it seems to be staying. It is so pretty I enjoy watching her play with it.

I don't know if anyone else got the impression I did but I thought, based on the picture, that the ends were fixed in the curved position that they show in the picture (like wire or something) and that I would be able to bend the ends around to fix it to the car seat handle, etc. That is NOT the case. It's a string with wooden flowers, etc on it. There is no way to fix it to anything so I ended up using rubber bands. My baby didn't seem all that enthralled with it contrary to the other glowing reviews. It is very nice, though and maybe when he's bigger I'll try it again. Overall, though, not for us. I ended up getting something different for him that he loves so this kind of ended up being a bad purchase for us.

Lamaze My First Fishbowl

I purchased this for my 5 month old and from the minute she saw the package she was in love with it. It was the one toy she always liked to play with until she was about 14 months old. For nine months it was her favorite toy and I really like it as well. The fish are colorful and interesting to look at, each one makes a different sound and babies love taking things out and then putting things back into the bowl. I liked this so much I bought one for my nephew as well. This is one toy I will be keeping in case we have another child.

A friend ordered this for me off my Wishlist, and there is no water, water stains, nothing to indicate it's the same item exactly as the box and Amazon describes. Just a single layer or clear plastic on either side of the fishbowl definitely intentional and not a defect. I was VERY disappointed and in a way feel cheated. I guess my infant will not know the difference but the water should have been in the item, or Amazon should have doen a better job QC'ing their products! Still love Amazon though!

This costume is absolutely adorable! Very soft and cute! Seemed made very well, especially for a Halloween costume. If you get it for a 3T size child, who knows you might be able to use it again the next year too. This comes in handy for the many additional Halloween events they could go to besides Halloween night. In comparison to my son's costumes.. I wonder if he can make it through the night without tearing them up. :)

SIZE: Extremely forgiving! I got this for a girl that normally can wear almost a 2T in upper body (very skinny) but the length of the arms would be too short. She's also very tall and this worked out wonderfully. She had enough length and surprisingly it didn't look too baggy either. I wouldn't be concerned about width if your child weighs more..there was plenty of extra room I was just quite surprised to find that it didn't swallow her up.

Fisher-Price Little People Builders Classic Shapes Blocks

My son was given a Little People bus filled with the Little People blocks when he was 12 months old. He has been banging the blocks together since then, and learning how to put them together. These blocks are large enough that I didn't worry about him choking on them. Now that he is older (20 months), I wanted some additional blocks for him, but didn't want to have to buy a Little People jungle or other some such kit, all I wanted was blocks to expand on what we have already. I didn't want to change brands, since his blocks attach to the bus carrier that we have already. These blocks fit the bill perfectly! There are several arches, roof shapes, and round and square blocks to help him build more complex shapes. They come in several colors so we can work on naming colors as he builds, can work on shapes (round and square, big and little) and they are easy for him to hold and push together. I actually bought 2 of these, one to keep at grandma's house! I'm very happy with my purchase!

My daughter had the little people builder wagon so I wanted to extend the set she had...I wish I never would have bought the wagon so I could have bought better blocks. For a Fisher Price set this is really disappointing! As a few other reviews mentioned these blocks DO NOT stay together-which defeats the purpose of blocks. Currently my 18 month old enjoys playing with them because they are brightly colored & new and can't get many together...but as she grows I know we will both be even more disappointed. For the price this is a rip off.

I thought this set would be a great starter set for my son. He isn't too interested in building with them yet, but gets the concept when I build something. I am a little disappointed that some of the blocks don't fit together very well. Some of them don't "lock" together and are easily taken apart, rather fall apart. We will have them out for his building skills, but will likely get another set once he gets the hang of building. For the money, it's pretty good, I like the many different shapes, but would prefer them fitting together better.

We bought this for my 6 month old son per advice of a friend that recommended blocks. The bag is a nice storage compartment that my son will tip over and it makes him laugh, but the block quality is another story. While I will stack them and my son knocks the blocks over, a lot of times the blocks collapse on their own. I have used Lego Duplo's and they stick together like traditional legos where as these blocks can barely hold four pieces on top of another.

Hasbro Playskool Let's Play Together Fill 'N Spill Fish

This is a great toy. I got this for my 4 month old, but my 21 month old loves it too! The fish are small for little hands, and they all make a different sound. The little fish are also machine washable, which is great when the little one gets ahold of them in her mouth. I must admit that the big fish often gets filled with many more toys than just the little fish that it came with, but I will certainly buy this for a baby gift for friends!

My 9 month old daughter loves this toy. She finds the crinkle and rattle fish particularly exciting, she even loves gnawing on the big plastic fish. The only thing I think could be improved on is the red fish, it's supposed to squeak, but the squeaker is tiny and hard to manipulate (even for me). She generally tosses that fish aside and plays with the other two.

We bought this as a Christmas present for our 1 year old baby but it turned out her 3 year old sister who really liked them.

The 1 year old does like them, especially the crinkly fish, but her older sister almost never lets her play with them! She has named the blue fish 'Dory', the red fish 'Marlin' and the green fish 'Nemo' and the big fish is "Bruce, the shark". Obviously a Nemo fan, but still it has sparked endless play for her.

These are a great inexpensive toy and extremely durable. And for anyone who is worried about the big fish pinching fingers, then just take it away and let little ones play with the 3 fish. Then when they are older and can open and close without harm then give the big fish to them. My 3 year old has not once pinched her fingers in the past year.

Highly reccomend!

We gave this to our daughter when she was 12 months old. At this age she loved it for be tags. Of the 25 stuffed animals she has around the house, this one is her hands down favorite. In fact, it is the only stuffed animal that we have bought a backup for, so that we can replace it if it is ever lost or destroyed. That's about the highest praise a mom can give a stuffed animal I think!

LANCO Natural Rubber Toy, Fish

When I started seeing all my friend's babies with "Sophie the giraffe" I wondered what was so special. I understood the natural rubber and food grade paint as great for babies, especially since now a days everything is made in China. The fish wasn't cheap but I thought it was neat looking. Well it was worth every penny!! My son loves it, even more then the Sophie I broke down and bought too! He likes that he can squeak it, hold all of it in his hands, and the tail and fins get in all the little teething spots. I highly recommend it as an alternative to other overly popular rubber teething toys.
