Bright Starts Having a Ball Get Rollin Activity Table

Bright Starts Having a Ball Get Rollin Activity TableMy 9 month old has had this table for 2 months so far.. and I'm embarrassed to say that she plays with it for hours a day, though not all at one sitting. I researched the Fisher Price and V-Tech version of similar tables (and watched my daughter play with them at friends' houses) this one is so much better! It seems like there are more activities than the others. We started without the legs, added them a month ago. She loves it both ways, and we'll probably take the legs off again soon just to change things up.

As another reviewer mentioned, the functionality switches between "play" and "learn" mode by flipping the page of the book. There are so many melodies (English and Spanish too) that even after hearing it daily, my husband and I still think we're hearing new songs. We don't find them annoying at all. Actually, to correct the other reviewer, the "red triangle", "blue circle", etc audio corresponds to the buttons of the caterpillar that are the corresponding color and have that shape on them. It's pretty obvious if you sit down and play with your child.

The alligator mouth covers a compartment that is great for hiding the balls or puffs/Cheerios. My little girl loves to find things there. She even knows the sound associated with the alligator door and comes crawling to look for food if she hears it. One of the smartest things that Bright Starts did was to make the 1,2,3 buttons so that they click and pop out. It's hard to describe, but it's different than just pushing a button the child gets feedback and it's easier to operate. Initially, my baby couldn't figure out how to push buttons on any of her toys. These were easier for her to manipulate and seemed to help her figure out the "cause and effect" of the other buttons.

Of course, the ball slide is a huge part that sets this table apart from the others. We have so much fun watching her try to stop the balls from falling into the hole and then chasing them around after the come out of the leg. The balls are the perfect size for little hands, too. It comes with six 2 each of red, yellow and blue.

The toy will automatically play a random tune about 30 seconds after the last button/activity was activated. At first we thought it was broken. We were wrong it's actually genius. I cannot count how many times my kid has gotten fussy or wandered away from the toy and been drawn back by that reminder song. Just so you know, it's on purpose! We honestly thought it was haunted the first few nights when it would play songs after we had cleaned up even though no one was playing with it.

At 9 months, she has not yet mastered the yellow spinner or the gear-like activity. She also doesn't reliably let the balls go down the slide on purpose. Due to this, I foresee her playing with this for at least another year if not longer. It's really been a lifesaver since she became mobile and hated being constrained by her jumper. I will say that I got this around the holidays for around twenty-four bucks. I think the Amazon price is a little high because, according to the packaging, this model is made just for Toys R Us. You should be able to find it for significantly less there.

There are quite a few of these sit-to-stand activity tables on the market and I've had the opportunity to see the other brands that my friends own. I ultimately chose this one because it had an extra element of fun. While the little light up, noise-making, turny toys on the top (similar to all the others models) are interesting for a few minutes, the real fun comes with the ball drop. It works likes a billiards table. You first drop or roll the ball down through the center hole (creating fun noises in the process). The ball then ends up dropping down one of the four legs of the table. This is by far my 1 year old son's favorite part of this toy. I'm not sure how long he would remain interested had this feature not been included. The only problem I have encountered is that occasionally the ball gets 'stuck' inside. It's an easy fix (throw something else in after it) and my son doesn't even seem to notice. His second favorite thing would be opening and closing the alligator's mouth and hiding the balls inside. He loves to open and close things. As the prior reviewer stated, it is a nice feature that you can switch from English to Spanish. I am really happy that we decided to get this one!

My mother gave this toy as a gift for my son when he was 10 months old. It's become his favorite toy. He loves to walk around it and spends a lot of time dropping the ball in the middle and looking for where the ball comes out. Ir definitely encourages him to stand and cruise and I really like that it has Spanish and English options for the sound and music. GREAT toy, I don't know what we'd do without it.

My 7-month-old received this as a gift and we both love it. It's sturdy enough for her to pull herself up on easily and it's the perfect height for standing and playing. She's not too interested in rolling the balls yet but she loves all of the songs, lights, and buttons. We've had it for two weeks and so far the sounds haven't driven me totally crazy, probably because there's so many of them so it doesn't get too repetitive. The "Circle, triangle, diamond, square they all make a happy pair" song does irritate me a bit every time I hear it since four items do not, in fact, make a pair, but other than that most of the songs are pretty tolerable.

In any case, this toy is currently the only way I can get anything done while my daughter is awake, so it's a winner in my book. I'd imagine that as she gets older the educational aspects of it will be helpful too. It has pretty much all of your preschool bases covered: colors, shapes, the alphabet, etc. Heck, it even has them in Spanish. I can't recommend this table highly enough!

UPDATE 1: I have to remove a star after an incident today. My daughter got the tip of her finger caught between the page of the "book" and the yellow light-up button as she was using that hand to steady herself while trying to sit down on the floor. Thankfully I was right there and got her unstuck quickly but she still really smushed her finger and was clearly in a lot of pain. I definitely wouldn't let a baby play with this unsupervised!

UPDATE 2: After 2.5 months of use, the electronics have gone haywire. It started having occasional audio glitches about a month ago and it's gotten progressively worse until today the thing stopped working altogether. Now when I turn it on it just makes a buzzing sound and none of the buttons do anything. This is a real bummer, my daughter loves the sounds and lights and I thought she would get a lot more use out of it :(

I purchased this table for my son from Target. He began showing an interest in standing very early, but I made him wait until he could crawl well before I would really start supporting his standing. I had been eyeing this activity table in the store for months! I was so happy when it was time to bring it into our house! We got it one afternoon while he was visiting his aunt. When he came home, it was all set-up and waiting for him. He had the BIGGEST smile on his face when we stood him up and showed him to put the balls in the chute. The next day, I was cleaning up and I noticed some smudges in the yellow coloring, where the balls fall into the center of the table. Out of curiosity, I reached my hand into it and touched one. Turns out, it disappeared. It was dirt. It was in the track where the balls were rolling. The same balls that my child plays with, using his hands and his mouth. I had to take it out of his sight until I had a chance to disassemble it and clean it out. I have pictures of the dirt. It is pretty unacceptable and neglectful to just not clean a part. The cardboard and the top of the table were not dirty, it was only the inside. I will be much more hesitant with my Bright Starts purchases in the future.

Bobbie & Friends Sensory Bobbie

Bobbie & Friends Sensory BobbieMy 18 month old loves this. It's been a helpful tool for her to learn parts of the body -she'll squeeze his ear, and then, after Bobbie says "ear" will touch her own ear. The only thing that drives me crazy about the toy is that if you stop playing with him, he says "I'm bored!" after a few minutes, which I find to be pretty annoying!

Fisher Price Stack 'n Surprise Blocks - Peek-a-Boo Bee

Fisher Price Stack 'n Surprise Blocks - Peek-a-Boo BeeWe received this toy as a gift for our son. I quickly scanned the packaging for an indication that the toy was free of BPA and phthalates but could find nothing to indicate that this was the case. I called Fisher Price/Mattel but was told that they did not have any specific information about this particular toy, instead they were happy to read me two separate scripts addressing Fisher Price/Mattel's use and safety of BPA (they DO use BPA in the manufacturing process of some of their toys)and phthalates (Same speech "If we do use them, they are perfectly safe...yada yada yada"). We are, of course, returning this toy and will be getting rid of any other Fisher Price toys that we have, as our son likes to put everything right in his mouth.

These were the first peek-a-boo blocks I got for my baby at 6 months. She loved to watch the face pop up. It 19 months now she still enjoys stacking them and adding them to the other toys that have these type of blocks. They were great to keep her busy in the car and at the restaurant because they are so small, colorful and don't make noise that will bother other people. Great toy if you're not sure what to get a baby in this age group.

I got these for my son when he was just 6 months old. He didn't really seem into them, but I figured he might start to play with them more as he got older. Sadly, this is not the case, he is now 14 months and still shows little interest. Maybe it's just him, but they just don't hold his attention that much, he'd rather play with his lego duplos.

Kinder Bogan

Kinder BoganSo much more comfortable and safe than traditional discs, this sled is great for babies. Because it has a soft inflatable back, it's perfect for infants and toddlers. We took it to the snow and my 4-month old daughter did great in it, as did my 16-month old niece. Even my 4-year-old niece liked it better than the other sleds. I would definitely recommend it to anyone with small children. In fact, I already lent it to a co-worker who said his 1-year-old and 4-year-old fought over it. I haven't even gotten it back yet...I bet he's trying to keep it!

Homer Baseball Rocker by Rockabye

Homer Baseball Rocker by RockabyeI did not realize that the rocker also had buttons that played songs! This was a big hit for my one year old nephew as well as his two year old sister! They were rocking on it all afternoon. It is terrific quality.

As a previous review stated... I was super excited when I ordered this chair for our 20 month old son. When I received the rocker, it was already broken! It was leaning to the left side and would not support my son as it would roll off the side that was broken. The material was good and soft, the music was very mumbled and overall very small. The description of the product states that it will work for children up to 100 pounds, but I don't see how. I tried to return it, but the return policy was horrible. We were responsible for return shipping costs plus restocking fee for an oversize item. I explained that it was broken upon receipt and why would they restock a broken item and I had no box big enough to ship it back in as the one it came in was trashed. Between all the charges to return it or exchange it, it was almost the same price as the original purchase fee. I was extremely dissatisfied. My dad is trying to restabilize the base of the rocker, but our son already shows no interest in it. If we can make it secure, we will probably donate it to a local children's center. This product is not worth the time, effort nor money...AT ALL!

I got this for my son for christmas last year. I have to say it is adorable! The sound quality is pretty awful, even after hearing some of the songs hundreds of times I still can't understand what all the words are. He doesn't seem to mind though. He was 11 months old at the time and he absolutely loved it! A few weeks after we gave it to him he had pulled the top button of the hat right off. I was really irritated that the quality was so poor that an 11 month old could rip it, espescially when this toy is really meant for kids a bit older than him! I contacted the company and got a response fairly quickly stating that they would fix the problem, however I would have to pay for the shipping. Are you kidding me?! So I just dropped $100 on this and now you want me to pay for the shipping to fix a quality control issue on your part! I went back and forth with them saying that that would not be acceptable, which she basically said that I can get it fixed locally and pay for it myself or send it to them and pay for the shipping. She also said that they were being generous for even doing that. I decided he loved it so much and I was already out the initial investment, so I sucked it up and sent it back and payed for the shipping. It took a couple of weeks, but we got it back and my son had about 6 months of good use out of it.

Then a couple months ago the sound started to go out on it. He loves the songs on it and basically gets bored when he can't get it to work. Now when you push the buttons it will start to sing the song and then abruptly stop. I tried changing the batteries, but it did the same thing. After the headache I went through just a few months ago to get it fixed I decided I just don't have time to do it again, and I'm sure nothing will come out of it anyway. When I first got this product I couldn't wait to recommend it to others, but unless you want a fairly pricey toy that will only last 6 months I'd say stay away from this company!

Lamaze My First Fishbowl

Lamaze My First FishbowlI purchased this for my 5 month old and from the minute she saw the package she was in love with it. It was the one toy she always liked to play with until she was about 14 months old. For nine months it was her favorite toy and I really like it as well. The fish are colorful and interesting to look at, each one makes a different sound and babies love taking things out and then putting things back into the bowl. I liked this so much I bought one for my nephew as well. This is one toy I will be keeping in case we have another child.

I bought this for my 6 month old cousin for Christmas. My 11 month old daughter has liked playing with this toy since she was 6 months old. She likes to take the fish out of the bowl and put them back in. Great for motor skills. The water filled sides of the fish bowl are fasinating to her too. Mom likes this toy too because it doesnt make any noise.

This is a cute product but definitely not as cool as what is pictured and described. There is no trapped water; the sides are just plain plastic. I ended up returning it because without the water-trapped sides I felt it was pretty overpriced.

A friend ordered this for me off my Wishlist, and there is no water, water stains, nothing to indicate it's the same item exactly as the box and Amazon describes. Just a single layer or clear plastic on either side of the fishbowl definitely intentional and not a defect. I was VERY disappointed and in a way feel cheated. I guess my infant will not know the difference but the water should have been in the item, or Amazon should have doen a better job QC'ing their products! Still love Amazon though!

A little disappointed that this newer version does not have water "around" the fishbowl. It used to have water-trapped sides of the bowl with floating, mini sea creatures. Otherwise, it can have a 5 stars. The 4 stuffed creatures look cute inside the fishbowl. I like its color, pattern and fabric.

Bright Starts Start Your Senses Sensory Plush Pals

Bright Starts Start Your Senses Sensory Plush Pals, ZebraMy 5-month old daughter seemed as if she were getting tired of her other play-mat toys, so I added this one to the mix for a little variety. Truly, it's been a welcome addition and has helped in entertaining her for short periods so that I may load the dishwasher or fold some laundry without any fussing. She loves the tiny mirror and the bumble-bee rattle. As she continues to teethe, I anticipate that she'll do a fair amount of chewing on the leg with the rubberized apple as well. The high contrast pattern is easy for her to see and the size is just right for her to hold and manipulate on her own. I also find this zebra to be adorable -it's well made and I believe it will last for a long time.

My 3 1/2 mo old LOVES this toy. There are so many textures to touch and lick and it's just perfect for little hands to experiment with grabbing and grasping.

Right now he's sitting in my lap talking to it and munching on the ribbon tail.

Sababa Toys Fisher-Price Pull-a-Tune Xylophone

Sababa Toys Fisher-Price Pull-a-Tune XylophoneWARNING: This review was made when the toy was about twenty bucks. I noticed today that it's listed for more than sixty. No way is this worth that much.

-------------

Pros:

plays a nice tune when it's pulled

colorful metal notes

soft edges everywhere

tones are pleasant

seems pretty durable so far

Cons:

string on the wand is laughably short (so much so that you can't actually use the wand on some of the notes)

metal notes are just a little too narrow because of the plastic knobs holding them in place; forces the player to be pretty accurate in their aim to get a clear tone, and a toddler just isn't

Find a heavy shoelace and lengthen the string by several inches. If you're worried this would be a strangulation hazard, then plan to either take the wand off entirely, or have a frustrated child whenever the wand jerks short when they try to use it to hit the notes.

My daughter loves this toy it sounds a tune when she pulls it and she loves to make her own music. One thing I would have liked is for the pull cord to be longer. No bells and whistles, just an old fashioned toy that still brings joy to the little ones!

Buy Sababa Toys Fisher-Price Pull-a-Tune Xylophone Now

The toy was shipped well, arrived undamaged and on time. We did not realize that it plays music when it rolls which is nice. The only issue that prevented it from recieving 5 stars is that we feel the cord holding the stick is too short. If the cord was only 4 to 6 inches longer it would be easier for the child to use.

Read Best Reviews of Sababa Toys Fisher-Price Pull-a-Tune Xylophone Here

We love this xylophone. My husband and I have spent a lot of time playing with it (our daughter is too young yet). The tone is much better than I expected. One note is very slightly out of tune, but not enough to notice unless you compare it with another instrument. We can play "Mary Had a Little Lamb," "Joy to the World," "Three Blind Mice," and numerous other songs with the limited number of notes.

My only gripe with the product is that the cord from the xylophone to the stick is too short. I'm sure it's that way due to safety concerns. However, it's very difficult to play the instrument with that cord length. We simply replaced the cord with a longer one, and are very happy with that choice.

Want Sababa Toys Fisher-Price Pull-a-Tune Xylophone Discount?

This xylophone's cord which connects the stick is insanely short. So short that it makes the playing the end notes impossible. The manufacturer never tried to actually use this thing. Plus it's overpriced for what it is, better alternatives out there.

Corolle Mon Premier 12" Doll Fashions (Snowsuit)

Corolle Mon Premier 12' Doll FashionsWell made. Fits well. Cute. I love it, so cute for my daughters Carole doll. My daughter though is not so interested. I'd give it 5 stars if she liked it.

The snowsuit is really cute and fit the 12" doll very well. My 2 year old granddaughter can dress and undress her doll in it. It will fit a lightweight outfit underneath as well. I was surprised that the one for the 12" doll cost a) more than the doll itself, and b) twice as much as the one for the larger doll, which is why I rated it lower than a 5-star.

This snowsuit is absolutely adorable. My daughter has the Mon Premier 12" doll, and this fits perfectly. The velcro at the front makes it easy for her to get her doll dressed all by herself. It is well-made with lots of cute details (like the quilted stitching and faux fur around the hood). My daughter loves bundling up her buddy in her new snowsuit.

My daughter has had the corrolle 12 inch tido doll for years. She was no longer playing with it as much as her other dolls so I decided to regift the doll to my infant son (who wanted a doll and I figured this one would make a nice baby Frankie). I just needed some neutral clothing for the doll to make it work. This snowsuit was the best I could find. It is beautiful, but the lack of pink is what I really wanted. The snowsuit arrived quickly and was a perfect fit for baby tido. My son loved his new doll and immediately put it in his new shopping cart. Which is when my daughter who just got a new AG doll for christmas spotted her. She fell in love and promptly decided that her baby needed to be with her big sisters. A much better reaction then I had hoped for. The price of this snowsuit is very good for Corrolle doll clothing.

Want Corolle Mon Premier 12" Doll Fashions (Snowsuit) Discount?

This is a super cute snowsuit for dolly. We have a 12" Melissa and Doug Baby Doll Jenna and she fits the Carolle 12" clothes beautifully. The suit has a couple of velcro closure at the front and is reasonably easy for a preschooler to get on and off. Anyone younger than 3 would probably need help unless they were very dexterous. It may not hold up well to serious rough play (maybe take out of the play date pot) and I do think the fabric will snag if caught but it really is too cute. The only negative is that the sleeves are a little short and look at bit three quarters. Overall I'm happy with this "tre chic" dolls outfit.

Neurosmith Music Blocks Cartridge: Bach

Neurosmith Music Blocks Cartridge: BachMy young daughters (1 & 3) can't get enough of these music blocks. I agree with others who say "toss out 90% of the rest of your toys and keep this one."

The kids love them all, but if you ask me, Bach and Rhythms of the World are the best (along with the Mozart block that comes with the main unit.) After yor kids are in bed, you'll go downstairs and have one more listen-I guarantee it.

But enough of this. Go ahead and buy them all and listen for yourself-for $20 you really can't go wrong. And your kids really will love them all.

Our child enjoys the music player that this cartridge works in, we have had no issues with the purchased cartridges, everything works well. Thank you.

VTech - Musical Bubbles Octopus

VTech - Musical Bubbles Octopus***UPDATE on 4/1/2011***

Below you can read my original review, it was a 5 star review but now I have changed it to 3. Why the change to 3 stars...because they stopped working after a couple months of use...yes, I said they because after the 1st one stopped working we bought a second one since my girls loved the bubbles so much(and the first one had fell in the water one time but the 2nd one did NOT) With the first unit at first it was great, it made TONS of bubbles(as I stated below) even with cheap/crappy bubbles. It burns through batteries really quickly...my girls did use this everyday but for no more than 30 minutes at a time, most of the time less than that. If the batteries are weak, it will not blow bubbles so we were changing batteries a LOT. But soon, it wasn't even a battery problem, the bubble blower just wouldn't turn, it kept getting stuck when it did turn and it just wasn't blowing enough air to actually blow the bubbles. The rest of the machine works but not the bubble maker which is the whole reason to buy this toy. So we bought a 2nd one, I used good bubbles(good bubbles make even MORE bubbles, btw) and several times washed the bubble part. The new one still runs out of batteries super fast and it has already stopped blowing bubbles most of the time. It will occasionally start to turn and blow bubbles for a few minutes and then it will stop again...I didn't buy this for only a few minutes of occasional bubbles. So, based on the fact that 2 of them have quit working in such a short time, my review is now a 3 star and I would NOT recommend buying this toy now. I think we are going to buy our girls the Yookidoo Flow 'N' Fill Spout just search around for cheaper prices! I hate that these toys aren't better made because my girls really enjoyed them...and Vtech customer service is the worst, you may as well talk to the wall as opposed to trying to get any help from them.

**Original Review**

My girls received this as an early 2nd Birthday gift. They love taking baths and they are obsessed with bubbles. The instructions say to use a good bubble solution for best results but we only had some cheap, kind of crappy bubbles to use(it doesn't come with any bubbles so make sure you get some). WOW! I was amazed at the TONS of bubbles this thing makes, it just keeps blowing more and more bubbles. I'd say the bubbles are about the size of a quarter.

As another reviewer stated, this does need to be place somewhere that it can be suctioned on the wall AND sitting on a shelf. It only has 2 suction cups but it needed to have at least 3. Our shelf is low so the bubbles blow out right at eye level when my girls are standing and since they are curious critters they stand with their face right in front of the blowing bubbles and often get bubbles in their eyes. They also like to stick their fingers into the wands while the bubbles are coming out. After that bath we decided to try and move it a little higher so it would be out of eye level and they couldn't stick their fingers in the wands. About 5 minutes later we heard a thud and realized this had fallen off the wall. It fell and was completely submerged in water for several minutes but it still works perfectly fine. So it definately has to be place on the shelf, I would not want it falling on my daughters heads because it is kind of heavy and would definately hurt.

The 2nd time my girls used this they no longer tried to stick their fingers in the wands, they still stuck their faces in the direct path of the bubbles but they just think it is a blast. Their heads and bodies get covered in bubbles.

The 3rd time they used this they no longer stick their faces in the bubbles. They turn it on immediately when they get in the bath and if he turns off(if he isnt being touched to reserve battery life) they push the button to turn him right back on. They catch bubbles with cups, sing songs to the tunes and just love all the bubbles. If crappy bubbles make this many I can only imagine what a good bubble solution makes. My girls already loved bath time but this has only added to their fun and creativity in the tub!

My daughter just got this toy for her second birthday. I was very excited to use it because she loves bubbles, music, and bath time so this seemed like the perfect toy for her. She absolutely loves it! It blows TONS of bubbles and plays lots of music. I expected there to be an issue because it's not supposed to be "fully submerged" in water (it is to be suctioned to the side of the tub) but my daughter never tried to pull it down, she just reached up to press the buttons and then giggled when the bubbles sprayed her! The only problem I had with this toy is that you cannot just suction cup it to any part of the tub. It pretty much has to have a ledge underneath it or it will fall down. Once we found the right spot for it it stopped falling down and now I have to say it was my daughter's favorite birthday present!

Buy VTech - Musical Bubbles Octopus Now

I couldn't get it to stay on the tub wall. It kept falling in the water. My son likes to play with it on the floor, but the bubble part only works if it is upright. Since I can not get it to say upright we only use it as a music toy and can not use the bubble machine.

Read Best Reviews of VTech - Musical Bubbles Octopus Here

This is literally the biggest piece of garbage I have ever ever bought! The bubble part of it is constantly breaking! I actually returned my original "broken" octupus for a new one and that one stopped making bubbles as well! We tried everything...new bubbles, different location, etc.. all in all just a piece of garbage. I wrote to VTech and their customer service was ATROCIOUS! Told me to replace batteries, clean compartment w/an eraser, and to switch the on/off buttn 40 times...sadly I have a job and children so am unable to devote such time to fixing a poorly manufactured toy!

Save your money and for $6 buy Gymboree Bubbles..now those are impressive!

This toy could be a fun toy for toddlers in the bathtub; however, it has some major problems in my opinion. First off, it is very heavy, and no matter the surface, it will not stay stuck! This can be dangerous if it falls off and hits a young child, which it almost did with my 13 month old granddaughter. The small suction cups are not strong enough to adhere it to the bathtub OR the tile wall. And, when it falls, all of the liquid bubbles spill into the tub. I don't recommend it for children!!

Ty Beanie Babies 2.0 Chill Black Penguin (Sparkly)

Ty Beanie Babies 2.0 Chill Black PenguinThe image shown does not show the glittery look this (Sparkly) penguin has. If you want the Ty product that looks like the picture shown, make sure it doesn't say (Sparkly) at the end.

He is so cute when I got him! I have had him since 2nd grade. Yes, he is a 5 star!

I like this small penguin. Just wanted to confirm the presence of metallic fur in the white and black parts. It's very cute though.

My little girl (4 years old) lost her penguin snugglie, I searched far & wide then I searched the internet and we chose this one. It is a typical beanie baby size. The fur is also typical beanie baby EXCEPT that if you get the sparkly one it has little silver sparkly furs as well. The silver does not effect the softness, but being typical beanie baby fur it is not SUPER soft to begin with.

Magica Rattle

Magica RattleI bought this for my six month old son. The balls are just the right size for him to pick up in his little hands, which help to build his clutching and grasping motor skills. He will crawl/worm his way to the toy, pick it up, and roll onto his back holding it to study it. The colors are bright and appealing, and the toy itself seems well made. The balls move about on the cord, so they aren't fixed into one particular shape. I think this adds interest for the baby, since he is able to manipulate the shape a bit. If you're looking for bells and whistles, this isn't the toy for you; however, if you're looking for a toy to cultivate your baby's imagination, this is a good one with which to start. I would give it 5 stars overall, but I found a cheaper version of this toy (with more balls) made by a different company shortly after I purchased this one.

My son loves this! Its so durable, safe, and stimulating. I loved that there was something my son could play with and suck on that wasn't made in China.

She likes that she can grab on the wooden balls easily and that it also nice to mouth. As the toy is flexible, it adds extra ease to work it. The best clutching toy for a 4 months old baby. Among Haba wooden toys, I can also strongly recommend the Triangle (the 2nd favorite clutching toy of baby).

My daughter is 6 months old. This quality toy is made of wood, it's very bright and I like to hold it in my arms. But my little girl doesn't. She prefers to play with other toys, this one is not her favorite. There is a time for everything so I hope she'll interested in it later.

Our baby loves this toy. It is very sturdy and I am not at all worried about the beads coming apart. They move around as she plays with the toy, which she likes, and the size is perfect for her to work on with sore gums. (Just don't let the baby have it in the high chair, because the toy is made of wood and if she lets it fly...)

I especially love this brand, which tends to be much more natural than others and is made in Germany, where they conform to European safety standards, which are often much stricter than those in the US and Canada.

It also makes an inexpensive gift, because it is so pretty and also well made.

Lady Bug

Lady BugThis toy looks fun, but the ladybug head always gets stuck when it is pushed down and it is hard for a toddler to really enjoy this product because it is frustrating to re-align it. The idea is great for teaching cause and effect, but I think there are probably better toys out there that are similar. My child has more fun pushing down our OXO salad spinner instead of this, even though their aren't colorful balls involved. Good idea, but the design is just not very good because the ladybug top slips out of alignment.

We ordered this toy for our public library's toddler program. Unfortunatley, we are returning it because the head of the ladybug constantly gets stuck and the balls do not pop, roll or do anything. Very colorful, nice concept, but disappointing!

Learning Curve Disney Pooh Teething Beads

Learning Curve Disney Pooh Teething BeadsMy son would rather chew anything he's not suppose to but this he liked. Winnie-the-Pooh has a pointy nose that I thought might hurt his gums but my son turned the ring to find it to help cut his teeth. The colors are great & he was happy & used it longer than the more expensive one I bought him. This is a good price for the quality.

From the picture I thought these beads would be slightly smaller but bigger than a baby bracelet. I wasn't expecting them to be so large but the baby loves them! Great price for the size of the toy!

I bought this for my 8 month old that was starting to teeth really bad. She had 4 teeth coming in at once and upon opening the package and giving this a quick cleaning, she started chewing on this like crazy. After she went to sleep, I dared not take it away while she was awake, I looked at it and really got the feel of it and it made me almost want to chew on it. It has a clean crisp smell that would attract any baby and a nice texture that a baby's gums really need. My little one enjoyed it and I think yours would to. Plus the price is right.

I found this on sale for $2 when I bought it. Beads are harder than the ones you can buy at a "dollar" store. Then month old liked playing with it, mostly wearing on arm and visually inspecting the beads. A good car seat toy.

I bought this teether for my five-month old. It says you can boil it to sterilize. After I did, the beads felt strange and waxy and I was worried about giving it to my baby. I ended up throwing it out.

Brainy Baby 123's Board Book

Brainy Baby 123's Board BookMy granddaughter loves the Brainy Baby television shows and I just knew she would like a book from the series as well. Great quality board book.

Each page has a number with the same number of a different item. It goes up to 20. Not really a story book but teaches counting. My son is 2 and can count to 20 thanks to this book.
