great b/c you can take off the sorting lid and let them drop the shapes in when they are very small and can't possibly get the shapes right on purpose. if you get the other tomy ball party things you'll have billions of balls to drop in this toy too since they are the same size.

First Blocks
We wanted a SAFE alternative to most blocks you buy in stores right now that may or may not contain lead paint esp since babies put EVERYThing in their mouths. We decided HABA, a German company, with a great reputation was the way to go. Our 7 mo old baby LOVES these blocks because they are very unique. The jingly one, the one with a mirror. SHe loves the donut shaped one and the little guy with his car. It's the best gift she got for Christmas and that's saying a lot when comparing it to all the battery-operated toys she got! I think the basics go a long way. She is entertained by these for a long time. We will buy more Haba toys in the future.I have been buying Haba toys for my baby, believing these were safe baby toys made in Germany. Because of this, I did not hesitate to pay extra money for these blocks. So I was shocked to find that the red rattle in this set contains high level of arsenic and the blue fabric hat contains small amount of Bromine. (My baby loves to chew on this hat) Overall, this toy is rated "HIGH" in toxicity level at HealthyStuff.org. Some Haba toys have 0 toxicity level, but unfortunately, this block is not one of them. I have thrown away the two toxic blocks, but this leaves the set rather uninteresting and way over priced.***UPDATE***
I contacted Haba regarding the high toxicity level reported on these blocks. Here is the reply I received;
Thank you for taking the time to write to us. Obviously you are a very educated and astute parent and for that I applaud you! We at HABA® really appreciate parents such as yourselves. Being a mom of two children myself and an "auntie" to 11 more children I can empathize.
Our HABA parent company in Germany was the first toy manufacturer in Europe to voluntarily send our items to an independent testing lab to get tested many decades ago. Mr. Habermaass still owns this family owned business and he is a grandfather now himself. You can read more about HABA at www.HABAusa.com in the About section. In fact in 2008 after the heavy recalls of China made goods many other toy companies from Europe and America decided to pull back from the USA market. HABA didn't, we actually embraced the new CPSIA laws President Bush signed just before the end of his term. Of course this new law put a heavy financial stress on all childrens' products producers and retailers but HABA endured. In fact our lead levels were already at the lower levels that the law required so we had to change very little. The HealthyStuff.org group and other interest groups such as these do not have the funds to send all of the toys to independent, CPSC authorized laboratories so they purchase equipment themselves and do many of their tests in house. These tests are not as perfect as one would get from a laboratory. That being said HABA abides by the CPSIA law and all products we import have the appropriate testing and those Certificates of Compliance are readily available on our website.
At one time this same organization claimed our marbles in our Marble Ball Track Construction Set (a wooden block set made for older children to build architectural designs for the marbles to roll through) had a harmful chemical in them. This interest group takes advantage of consumers' fears and announces their worst toy lists at the holiday times. We in fact had proof that the marbles were safe and that no chemicals that may have been in the marbles were in fact in a state that could be absorbed by a person's body, even if swallowed. In this case we did spend the money to hire an attorney and healthystuff.org had to do a recant on their findings.
Did you also know that HABA still produces all of our wooden blocks, that we know will be most likely put into a child's mouth, in Germany? It would be much less expensive for us to do what all the other companies are doing and move our production to China but Mr. Habermaass and our company philosophy is to remain as a German made company, at least for our wooden products. We can't find textile companies in Europe to make our soft goods or room décor but we're on the constant look out. We've also opened our own office in China so that we have our own staff checking daily on our production partners in China.
That all being said, our First Blocks are safe. This item passes all testing required and this item continues to be a best seller for us.
If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to reach out. Obviously your satisfaction is our #1 goal.
*************
After getting this reply from them, I'm amending my rating from 1 star to 3 stars. In the end, each parents would have to make their own mind as to who and what to believe. It takes forever to build a company reputation and just a second to ruin it (unfortunately scare tactics works too well whether justified or not) and I want to give Haba a benefit of doubt.
The reason for 3 stars is that these blocks are more hit with my husband than with my baby.Colorful, well made blocks. There are not really enough to "build" anything, so I would suggest buying a set of Haba blocks that can be used with these, like the Fantasy Blocks. Please check healthystuff.org when purchasing toys. This item is rated HIGH for toxicity. Ridiculous. It takes an incredible amount of time and research to find safe, non-toxic toys for infants. My 6-month old daughter is fascinated by these blocks, right now mainly with the blue cube that has a jingle bell inside. While she is too young to stack the blocks, the bright colors, varied shapes, jingling noises and mirror are really appealing to her and she studies them intently. It's nice that this set is not just square blocks but includes round and cylindrical shapes that roll, and can see this being something she enjoys for a longgood quality time in ever-expanding ways. I like Haba products in general, which are made from nice woods and fabrics.

WOW Ernie Fire Engine - Emergency (3 Piece Set)
My 18 month old grandson loves this truck. I like that it does not require batteries. If you push the truck it will keep on going for about 50 feet which just thrills my grandson. Nice sturdy construction, only wish it had come with a couple of firefighters instead of just one.I was quite upset by this toy! My 2 yr old son LOVED it, and it was awesome....at first. The first one I ordered worked for about 24 hours. I have a 2 yr old boy and he is NOT ROUGH with his toys. It wasn't thrown or anything that would cause it to stop working. The entire reason we got this was the "real working engine sounds". So I contact wonderful Amazon, who replaces it a few days later. We got the second one in yesterday evening...and by this morning the "real working engine sounds" have stopped/broken on the new one. Besides that it is great! If you dont care about the sound...youd love it! I doubt I will purchase another one of this brand of toy, unfortunately, bc it obv doesn't hold any weight in their quality of product!

Sesame Street Elmo Bath Toy Organizer
bath toy organizer is very durable. the only problem is that the suction was not very strong so everytime you reached 2 pull a toy out it would fall off. then had a hard time putting it back up.I bought this organizer for all my daughters bath toys (which are very small) the suction cups on the Elmo must not be durable because it falls down every other day....that's even if you don't touch the thing. I must admit I was very.disappointed.Buy Sesame Street Elmo Bath Toy Organizer Now
I bought this for my Elmo fan, and thought it would be great for draining since it was mesh. However, depending on the amount of toys you plan on storing, its not a good idea. The picture is pretty accurate. If you fill the bag more than half, its too heavy for the strings attached to the suction cups. Our bag is in the garbage.Read Best Reviews of Sesame Street Elmo Bath Toy Organizer Here
I ignored the reviews that said this item didn't stick and I wish I hadn't. I thought I could use alcohol on the suction cups and they would work as I have done with other suction cups. Nothing works its ridiculous. This would be really cute if there was any hope of it sticking but sadly it was a total waste of money. Very disappointed.Great help in the bath tub and Elmo is my granddaughter's favorite Sesame Character. The bag helps keep the tub area clean while still providing a fun bag. My granddaughter is also learning how to put her play toys back when it is cleanup time.Saturday, June 14, 2014
Curious George - Peek-A-Boo George
My 13 month old loves this toy. It is a little noisy but my son pushes the button on curios george himself to start him up. Very durable toy after being thrown around alot.I purchased this 2 years ago for our son who loves Curious George. It worked for less than a day (on regular mode. The demo mode is a strange feature) before not doing anything. He's adorable, pulling the hat over his head, then pushing it up, giggling as he goes. It comes on wheels, although ours never rolled. We have 4 other Curious George toys and they all worked wonderfully, so I'm sure this was a defective one. Unfortunately, I returned it for a replacement, but they didn't have them at the time. :(Buy Curious George - Peek-A-Boo George Now
This toy was discontinued awhile back, making it hard to find for my George-crazy grandson! We ordered this thru Amazon, one of the few places that still had one. The toy was brand new in the box, they even included new batteries to replace the old ones in the toy. My grandson loves it! It arrived earlier than estimated, thank goodness, it made it here for my grandson's first birthday. All-in-all a very painless transaction.Read Best Reviews of Curious George - Peek-A-Boo George Here
Love this toy. It has entertained my son for quite some time until he got to the age where he could pick it up and play with it himself. It's such a fun toy and as he aged, he began to imitate it as well! One weird thing about the toy (maybe not so weird)... but there is a display only mode, and at first it made me think the monkey was broken because it didn't go thru a full cycle. Thank goodness I figured that out, but not until I bought a second one. (Yep, I have two and am selling one!)
However, my little guy just loves it and squeals when Curious George lifts his hat off his head. It's really a riot to watch!
So, the toy is great from age 8 months (adult operated) and has continued to entertain my son who is now 2 and 1/2....My 6 year old disabled child LOVES this toy! Shipped very quickly by Toy Ranch. Product was however, defective but Toy Ranch immediatly replaced the toy without cost to me. This toy and Toy Ranch are the best!

Brainy Baby ABC's Board Book
My 1 year old loves this book!!! The letters and pictures are a good size, there are only 2 per page so the pages aren't over crowded. I'm very pleased with the book, and more importantly, so is my son!I first got the numbers brainy n=baby book, and since my son likes it I got the ABC one also. They are the same, just a plain page with colorful items. One image per letter. There is not a story, just each letter and an object. I like it that the pages are hard so young ones can't destroy them.

Remote Control Shape Sorter
I bought this for my son on his second birthday. It was a hit! He loved the remote control and it was easy for him to use. We have tried other remote control cars for him and they seem to zoom so fast it frustrated him, this one moves nice and slow and he can use the two buttons to move forward or reverse very easily. The songs are fun and familiar. The shape sorting part is nice too, and the toy will ask for the shapes and the colors so the learning part of this toy is great too. I paid for this item at Costco in October of 2009. I reccommend this toy and I know your toddler will love it too!I bought this for my grandson, who is almost two. It turned out to be one of his favorite toys.Buy Remote Control Shape Sorter Now
I love this plane. We got this at Christmas for my 2 year old. He loves it. It's easy to use. He doesn't use the shape sorter too much, but sometimes. I love that the nose of the plane opens and all the pieces fit inside (a mother HAD to have come up with that!). It has an automatic shut off to save batteries in case its left on. We've haven't replaced the batteries once yet. It plays cute, but soft and not annoying music. It wiggles back and forth and goes slow enough so that a 2 year old can enjoy it. When you back it up, it turns in a circle. Its just wonderful. It seems durable too. I would absolutely recommend it.My son become practically obsessed with airplanes recently so for his birthday I got this toy for him. He loves the remote but spends much more time with the shape sorter. Whenever friends come over he drags them into his room and says "look plane!" He absolutely adores this toy.My son received this as a Christmas gift. The remote has never worked so we've never seen the plane move or play music. The shapes are a bit difficult for very small hands to push through the openings. Still, he loves to "fly" the plane through the air now that he's bigger and stuff all kinds of treasures inside. It's not being used as designed, but he likes it any way.Thursday, February 27, 2014
Chicco Toys DJ Piano
This item was purchased for my son's 1st birthday by my sister. He loved it immediately as he loves music, and all the little animal noises are really cute. Unfortunately the sound effect button for the percussion noises (bottom left large orange button) didn't work and we couldn't hear any drum noises. I contactly Chicco via e-mail and with only a picture e-mailed to them of the item, they sent me a replacement. Too bad that the replacement also had a percussion button that could barely be heard, so I think it's a manufacturing problem. Now after 4 months of playing with it, I noticed that a couple noises on the joystick aren't working, even though the rest of the item is working (so ostensibly the batteries don't need to be changed). I'm assuming again this is a defect in the manufacturing, but other than that, the toy is great. Lots of great sounds, nice tunes and easy for baby to take from room to room. I'm looking at getting the Chicco guitar next!My 1 year old and my 6 year old actually fight over this toy! They both love it and it has stayed a winner for the last 6 months. I would buy it again. My daughter loves all the buttons and piano keys. The only thing we don't like is the microphone barely amplifies your voice at all unless you're right up to it, which defeats the purpose. My daughter call yell louder normally.Read Best Reviews of Chicco Toys DJ Piano Here
I bought this for my 16 mo. old son at christmas. I hummed and hawed about wether or not to buy it for a while now. I'm so glad I did. He loves it! Great for the car too! We drive home after dark and he loves to play with it in the dark because all the lights. Every was right about the microphone...it's lame but we don't care. The rest of the toy makes up for it.Want Chicco Toys DJ Piano Discount?
Thank you for this toy. My son is 1 year. He was very happy to play with this piano. It is very attractive, has a several options to play, you can modify the level of music. The flashes are very attractive.Thank you and all the bests

Sesame Street 1st Birthday Felt Party Hat
I got this hat for my son's first birthday, along with a 1st birthday crown-style hat. The crown was way too small, but this fit, with some room to spare. The safari style makes the extra room work. My son loves this hat and still plays with it and wears it all the time at home. He is now 2. I must say that I think it's more appropriate for a boy.

Especially for Baby Stacking Cups
These cups are not what is shown in the picture. I agree with the other reviewer that they sent me the smaller cheaper version from Babies R Us version the larger version shown in the picture that has an orange cup on the bottom and has pictures. I was disappointed in my purchase that I paid so much for the product.Stacking/nesting cups are among the best toys EVER. But these are just the cups you can get at Toys R Us for $3. So don't buy them hereI'm super disappointed that I just paid $12 for them, and they aren't as good as the ones I bought for my daughter a year ago (there are less cups, they are smaller, they don't have pattern impressions on the bottom). Buy the Bruin ones from Toys R Us for $5way better, and cheaper.Buy Especially for Baby Stacking Cups Now
Our children enjoyed their stacking cups, and their children are proving that toys really can endure. I bought this set for my grandson after my other son stole one of my sets for his son, who enjoyed it immensely. The toy appeals to younger pre toddlers when their adult playfellows stack the cups and let the toddler knock down the tall tower the adult builds. Toddlers like to hand the adult the cups one by one to nest back together or to stack again. As the toddlers master coordination, they'll enjoy stacking the cups on their own. They're not so good at nesting them back together to put them away! The cups teach coordination, evaluating relative sizes and balancing items to stack them. These stacking cups are perfect for young babies and can grow with them as they enter toddler years. My 9 month old has been using them since about 6 months old. He uses them mostly in the bath and I am able to use them to help me rinse off his hair, etc, too. We also use them outside the bath as he is now more interested in knocking down towers built for him and crawling after balls, cars, cups, etc. He chases these cups all over the room. This toy is one of his few toys that we travel with as they are compact and can be used for multiple purposes once at our destination. Highly recommend for every baby/toddler. I can't wait til he can start building towers for himself!!Great toy for little ones! And my 2 and 4 year-old niece and nephew still play w/ it sometimes too! Great basic!Sunday, November 17, 2013
green sprouts Stacking Cup Set
These cups are the perfect toy for my daughter. We got them when she was 7-months old, and she loved them right from the start. I love that they are safe and BPAand phthalate-free, she loves that she can tip over the towers that I keep making for her. These can be a little tricky to stack, since the lip on the bottom of the cup isn't that big, but my daughter doesn't care one bit...I think it just makes them easier and more fun to tip over! Each cup has holes in a different pattern in the bottom of the cup, making them fun at bath-time, as well as different raised shapes. Since there are so many of them, they're easy to split up and take a few in the diaper bag for outings.I gave this 4 stars (I would have given it 4.5, if that were possible) because they are NOT dishwasher safe. The toxin-free cornstarch resin that they are made out of will warp in the high heat of the dishwasher. So it's a little inconvenient to hand-wash all the little cups when they get dirty, but for me it was worth it to buy a safe and inexpensive toy.My wife bought these cups because we wanted a set that was BPA, PVC and phthalate free. Can use them in the tub since the cups have holes on the bottom.
Buy green sprouts Stacking Cup Set Now
These cups are a disappointment. We ordered them to replace an older set we were given and loved. They looked like an ideal replacement. Unfortunately the lip on the bottom of each cup is too slight for the cups to stack well. Everything else is as we anticipated. We are keeping the cups since they are good for the bath, but we're still looking for cups that stack well. These worked out great as entertainment for our 18 month old daughter on transatlantic flights. We came up with all sorts of quiet games to play with the cup. Stacking and nesting, tea party, counting, matching the colors, and more. Small and compact. Took up no room in our carry on and really kept her busy. Our daughter has always loved the bath. When she was ready for toys, we went straight to duckies. She liked to suck on the duckies heads, but she never really played in the bathtub until we got these cups. Simple? Yes. Fantastic? Definitely. These have different little holes in the bottom of them, so they sink, float, water drips out slowly, quickly, and she loves to run her fingers under the stream. At 9 months, now she's clapping them together and drinking out of them like a cup (oops! we gotta watch that in the tub!). We have a few more toys that do similar things, but nothing beats the simplicity and versatility of these stacking cups.Wednesday, October 30, 2013
Lamaze Patty the Panda
I was walking through a store with my 3 month old daughter. In an effort to try and distract her from screaming, I saw this little panda and showed it to her. She instantly went from screeching to smiling. She loves this toy! She tries to grab it and always smiles when she sees it. I hope they make other toys with this character in it!My 3 month old was only moderately interested in the multitude of infant toys that I bought for her. As soon as she saw Patty the Panda however, she got very excited! She interacted with the toy for quite a while! Any time that she is especially fussy, I show her Patty the Panda and her mood quickly changes! I'm buying this for each of my pregnant friends.Buy Lamaze Patty the Panda Now
When I bought this for my boy, my wife thought it was a waste of money. Since them, it has been one of his preferate toys. I don't know if he cares at all about the Panda but he seems to be fascinated by the ring and the flowers that the bear has in its hands. He spends a lot of time studying them.Highly recommended Lamaze toy !I bought this for my daughter early on, and she hardly glanced at it; but at 3 months she suddenly fell in love with her Patty Panda. She loves to hold Patty, suck on her face and legs, squeeze her crinkly parts (hand and feet), and chew on the plastic teething ring. This has been a great toy. I'm very happy with the Lamaze line of toys for children.Another awesome addition to my Lamaze animal collection. Contrasting colors=perfect. Wish it had a little more texture variation like some of the others, but every toy has its unique purpose.

Kidz Delight Tech Set Trio
We bought a set of these for our 10 month old triplets hoping to achieve two goals. One, we wanted to have something to swap out when they start gnawing on our tv remote and phones. Two, we wanted small toys that we could toss in the diaper bag that had a big entertainment factor despite a portable size. These toys absolutely accomplish this, and score big time on all metrics. They love the silly noises the remote makes, although the only buttons they can seem to press on their own are the ones that make the toy talk in Spanish and French. They love the songs the mp3 player plays, and enjoy chewing on the remote and smartphone as much as the real thing. These were a lifesaver in a restaurant yesterday when they got antsy. I'm considering purchasing a second set so we have one for the diaper bag and one for home. The toys are colorful, fun, do lots of stuff for their small size, and are extremely durable. They survived being tossed on the ground and run over by the stroller a few times already. I would really highly recommend them. I especially love that the kids are entertained by them now, but as they get older and understand more about how they work they will love them more and more. A great toy for now, and to grow into. These are really cute. I would say that my son likes them. I got them for him since he loves to steal my iphone but to him they aren't the same. The buttons on them are kind of hard to push and you can barely hear the phone make it's sounds. They are really cute toys and my son loves to play with them but they don't replace the real thing in my son's eyes.Buy Kidz Delight Tech Set Trio Now
We purchased these for my 10 month old son as a Christmas present. I was really excited about them because they are "tri-lingual", but I was disappointed to find that only the t.v. remote is tri-lingual. We bought them very cheaply (I believe it was less that $7 plus s/h), had I spent more than that I would have returned them, but for what we paid, they're fine!Read Best Reviews of Kidz Delight Tech Set Trio Here
I was disappointed when I opened the package and saw the three items. Theydo not look like the real thing, so I knew my 11 month old granddaughter would not be fooled for a second! The product description talked about lights and
music and sounds. The only light was a tiny red dot. Sound is muted. Overall,
I found these to be a very cheap imitation of the real thing. I had hoped we could give these items to my granddaughter to play with, so she would leave the
real remote control, I-phone and I-pad alone, but she is not excited about the toys.the sound buttions only work sometimes and when working the sounds are very quiet. my 9 month old doesnt give these items more than 10 sec of attention.

Baby Einstein Caterpillar Play Zone
I purchased this for my 6 month old at Christmas. I had to take it back because the pop-up animals would's pop-up. Well, needless to say that the second one was the same. I usually love Baby Einstein products, but this one is extremely overpriced, large, and not very entertaining. My son got this as a gift. If I had bought it I surely would have returned it. The quality is like those cheap toys in the bargain section of stores. The bar with the rings on it would never stay locked in. The pieces would never stay together and the balls are very thin plastic hollow balls. I was very dsappointed in this item. My baby didn't even like it. I am very surpised at how poor quality it is being made from such a great brand.Buy Baby Einstein Caterpillar Play Zone Now
Not a bad toy. There are a lot of things to do and keep the child interested. Kind of low to the ground though, and makes it difficult for a child just learning to sit up to reach it.Read Best Reviews of Baby Einstein Caterpillar Play Zone Here
My 6 month old got this toy as a gift. The pictures on the box make this toy seem great, but when you get it out and put it together its not that great. My son played with it for about 2 minutes and then got bored and moved onto something else. Invest your money on something else!I like this toy because you can take it apart to travel with certain pieces. One of the sections the little rail will not snap in very good. I would not have paid full price for this, but I had a gift certificate. I was really desperate for some new toys for my 8 month old and she seems to like it pretty well. I did see it for at Sams the next week though!Thursday, July 4, 2013
Sunshade Baby Float
I was so excited to get this item to use this summer but when we tried it out in the pool it was a bust! I originally bought it for the shade factor. The shade will NOT stay on. It just pops off either end. We tried deflating both the shade and floatie but after adjusting the air in both several times, it still would not stay on. I wish I would have stuck with getting a different type of shade floatie. Not worth it.The canopy does not stay in place. It falls down over baby's head. Used less than five minutes. I don't feel it's safe.On-time delivery, product undamaged and very good price. Very comfortable and pretty, but is too small and the cover touch the head's baby.Read Best Reviews of Sunshade Baby Float Here
Upon receiving this float, I immediately blew it up, checking for any issues. The boat inflated fine. The canopy, however, had a huge slit. I'm guessing this is a quality control issue. On another note, this does not seem very safe for little ones under 1 year. Swimways-type floats where the baby is more in the water than above seem safer. It would prevent a baby from throwing themselves on one side. With an older baby, it is much harder to accomplish that level of safety so this float if a non-defective one arrives should work ok.
I am not getting a replacement, I chose a different brand to try.We got this for my 18 month old son to use on vacation. He loved it for use in the deep end of the pool so that he could be with the adults. The sun shade stayed up well and offered great protection.
