He saw many sites on his journey across the states. He went from PowerGas in Dunellen to the Arch in St. Louis to the Ozarks to Texas oil refineries to ancient ruins to the VLA and White Sands. But he didn't stop there! That was just summer 2007... In Winter 2008 Slick headed West again to spend 3 months camping in Death Valley California. He stayed in Las Vegas and the Sierra Nevadas! First Bead Maze

I remember playing with larger versions of these in doctor waiting rooms when I was a kid, so when I saw this little one, I thought my almost one-year-old would love it. She was more into the wrapping paper than most of her presents but when she saw what was under the paper in this particular instance she reached out her arms and said, "Ahhhh! Ahhh!" in a very intense way until I managed to get it out of the shrink wrap and put it in her hands. She then proceeded to try and eat it which is her way of showing that she loves something, generally speaking. She loves it if I sit with her and help her push the beads around the wires. It is small but seems very durable.

So, I wanted to buy an adult rubber duck for my toddler, because there is a song about a mother duck and her ducklings that we sing in the bath. The thing is, adult ducks aren't yellow; they aren't just really big baby ducks, but you would never know that from looking at the market of rubber duckies. This is the only bath ducky that I could find that looks like an adult duck. (FYI: Do not Google "adult rubber duck" and especially do not Google " adult rubber mallard"). Bonus for this duck is that it always floats upright. It is nice to have a bath toy that isn't always "eating" as my daughter says, or "dead" as they look to the rest of the world when they float with their bellies up. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase.

Lamaze Rainbow Stacking Rings Developmental Toy

I have a stacking rings toy from another brand, but is made of hard plastic. A couple times, my baby has whacked himself in the face or hurt his gums with them. I purchased Lamaze's stacking rings and he loves it much better. It's soft so it doesn't hurt.

Bright colors, different textures and patterns, high contrast "stick" to put the rings on. It has held up well with all the playing so far too.

My son loves the rattle and crinkle aspects of the toy, and I like that it's not plastic. But the top ring's seams split open, exposing the stuffing, and so I had to throw it out after just a couple month's of play.

I really like these rainbow stacking rings because they are quality made, have terrific textures and colors and are easy for baby to grab, mouth and toss about. We've been playing with this product for about 3 weeks and it doesn't disappoint. The rings stack onto a black and white striped base which has some fun ribbon strips sprouting out the top. Each of these features are interesting and attention grabbing for baby. I love that I don't have to worry about stepping on hard plastic toys or that baby will whack himself in the head with this rings (which he seems to do a lot of lately!). This is a great toy for my little guy, who is currently 7 months old. I suspect it will amuse and delight him for some time to come...especially when we start to really learn colors, size relationships and more. For comparison, I have the fisher price stacking rings, which are a classic toy and fun, too. While we are enjoying the FP rings, I just love the Lamaze stacking rings...worth every penny and I would buy them again.

Munchkin Pelican Rinser

I bought this because it's so much cuter than a rinse cup & my daughter seemed to like it...BUT...I had to spend too much time cleaning it weekly. Not sure if others have noticed but it does get moldy in the cracks & is extremely difficult to clean because of the shape. I threw it away & started using a plastic cup & guess what??? my daughter plays with that as well!!

Too expensive & difficult to clean so not worth the money.

The lip extends so far over the opening that I cannot see the water poring out. It causes me to not be able to accurately pour the water and avoid getting it in my child's eyes, which is the whole point.

We had SO many toddler toys after babysitting our first grandson for our second to play with, we thought adding to the collection of bath toys would be a good idea for #2's first birthday. We're lucky that both of our "munchkins" thoroughly enjoy bathtime, and not only is this darling pelican great for rinsing, it's also perfect for storing some of his little bath squirters! Sometimes it's a little scary when a baby graduates in our case, from the confined space of the kitchen sink! -to an adult bathtub, which must feel like an ocean to them! So truthfully a large plastic cup is just fine for rinsing soap out of hair, but what are baby showers for if not to get ridiculously adorable items you wouldn't otherwise justify spending money on? We got this as a shower gift and I love it.

Pros:

Hole on top makes it easy to fill.

Holds a decent enough amount of water to rinse baby's hair but not so much that it's heavy.

Sturdy plastic means it doesn't bow with pressure (like a plastic drinking cup might).

Cute, I could see this transitioning into a toy when my daughter is older.

Cons:

Not easy to clean out. Pelican's mouth isn't wide enough to get your hand in super easily and it's shape means there are some little cracks that you can't reach. I haven't had the build up others have mentioned, but I'd suggest maybe turning it upside down to drain after use and a bottle brush?

While this book isn't meant to be too educational, it is VERY durable for my 8 month old to manhandle! I use these little "bath books" to keep his little hands occupied while I read the good paper books to him that he would otherwise grab quickly and tear. I got this for my 2yr old son and thought it might be a little 'too babyish' for him....but he loves it. We put it in his crib last night and I rocked him while the music played softly in the background for about 10 mins and he was fast asleep. When I went to get him out of the crib this morning he was holding the toy and had to get it out too...he's been carrying it around and playing with the remote too. I really wish I would have had this when my boys were babies....very neat little lullaby toy. The remote works great and you can adjust the volume (which many toys don't allow). I got it for $9.99...probably wouldn't pay much over that.

I bought this toy for my 3 mo old daughter for Christmas 2007. She loved it. It was such a cute toy and really aided in her sleeping by herself as she got older. It was fun to peek in on her reaching her finger to make the toy play music or nature sounds. A couple of years later and her little brother came along and he also loved it. They had a hard time sharing, but it would go in his crib when he went to sleep and then when she went down a half hour later with her. Fast forward another couple of years and they both still love it. I tend my baby niece (8 mo) who also loves it. Came on the internet to see if I could find it for a Christmas present for her, but see it isn't available any more. So sad as my husband just commented to me it was probably the one baby item we purchased that we truly got more value out of it than we paid. It is a great toy.

Okay, forget the "activity center"....that thing just gets in the way of interacting with the child. Throw away the sponge-like floating toys that come with the activity center....they just get pieces bitten off by the child. Now, enjoy the floating ring, put the shade on and pop the kid inside. Fun, fun, fun. You can spin her/him, take trips around the pool zoom, zoom and have both arms free to wipe away the water drips and drops as others splash around. A big hit at our house. I'm just sorry the visit was so short and our 11-month-old granddaughter had to go back home.

I love this float. The very first time I used it, I got so many compliments and my son loves it. He's 4 mos old and 16.5 lbs and fits in it fine. The canopy is easy to use and the snaps on it can be used to dangle his ring-a-links. While we were swimming, he was so comfy in the float, he actually fell asleep reclined back. I'd definitely recommend this product.

My 5 1/2 month old baby is very fair skinned. This product was perfect for "swimming" in Grandma's pool. There are two snaps on either side of the toy so that the canopy can be adjusted to the direction of the sunlight.

The attached toys make this toy a lot more interesting than the $14.99 version sold at a big box retailer.

None of the other reviewers seemed to have sizing issues, but I did. We took this on a trip to disney (I liked the fact that these spring floats fold really small when deflated for travel/packing) when baby was 7 months. The mesh seat was so deep, and the opening so large that it just swallowed him. The water level was bobbing over his shoulders.

I put it away and tried again now that baby is a month older and it's still too big. He's average in size and weight. Also, the valve stems pop open on the outer ring constantly causing a loss of air. Since it's barely keeping my baby above water fully inflated, this thing is basically useless. I wish they still made the heavy duty plastic/styrofoam dolphin and airplane floats. Swimways, are you listening? Those things were great!

I had a version by this same manufacturer that I used for my daughter who is now 4, so I really wasn't expecting these issues. At any rate, the one for my daughter was round vs. this one which is oblong, and the seat was not as deep on the older one. I really wanted one with a canopy to keep baby out of the sun but this one just isn't it, and it certainly isn't worth the price quoted here. If you are going to give this a try, definitely price-shop!

This has to be the best baby product we have ever purchased! She is totally comfortable in the pool and doesn't want to get out. Never does she feel scared and its SO nice to be in the pool with baby and not have to keep her afloat. Its so fun to enjoy pool time with her and be totally secure knowing she is safe and happy.

I bought this for my sons first Halloween and was so excited for him to wear it. It's very cute and I loved all the snaps on the legs so I could change him. The first time i tried it on it was fine. I unsnapped it and didn't put it on him again until Halloween. Last night was Halloween and when I went to put on the costume EVERY SINGLE SNAP WAS BROKEN! The had broken apart and there were sharp metal spikes against my babies skin! I couldn't believe they all broke!! I would never have spent so much on this outfit had i known it was so terribly made! I've purchased countless things on Amazon, and this is the first time I've felt strongly enough about a product to review it. This costume is terrific. We bought the 6-12 month size for our 9-month-old's first Halloween. The costume looks exactly like the one in the picture. The monkey fur is incredibly soft, and my son seems to be comfortable in the suit. He wore it for nearly two hours during a fall photo shoot last week without complaint. Despite the fact that he is in a 'hat removal' phase, he didn't even tug at the head piece. I suppose if I had one criticism, it would be that the paw booties are wont to fall off, although I am sure the fact that they are detachable is what makes the sizing so flexible. Incidentally, my son is a very small 9-month-old. He's still only 15 pounds and fits into this costume with room to grow. We are so excited to show the little guy off to friends and family!

Doll Pram In Natural

This is a fabulous toy. My daughter loves it (she is now 14 months and we got it when she turned 1). The wheels are made of rubber, so it doesn't scratch or make any noise. It is very sturdy and looks beautiful.

Vesper plays with it every day. She sits in it and "reads" her books; she pushes it around with her toys in it; she uses it to leverage herself onto higher planes (yikes!); and I'm sure she'll find other uses for it as she grows.

I am very happy with the purchase because it is natural wood, easy to clean, quiet, and will not fall apart. It is also sturdy enough for our child to climb in and out without tipping (though it has tipped when she's bounced her weight on the handle that's something to watch for).

I wish that it hadn't been so expensive, but if it lasts through this and perhaps other children, then I'm ok with that.

What a disappointment, especially because we ordered this for our daughter's birthday and we have to send it back because of the alarmingly poor quality. We decided to spend more on a HABA doll stroller so we would be assured of a non-toxic and high quality product. What we received was a stroller which had EXTREMELY wobbly wheels that feel like they are going to fall off at any moment. We looked for a way to tighten them, could not find any. Are they all like this? I hope not, perhaps this is a fluke, but I wanted to have this review up for others so they might think twice about placing trust in this "Made in Germany" product, which was a huge selling point for us. Other than the wheels, which are a huge problem, there is the problem of how it was advertised: "classic beechwood doll pram" and it actually is beech PLYWOOD, which I think they should state clearly.

We bought this stroller 3 years ago for our 1 yr old daughter's birthday. My daughter and son, who is 18 months older, have used the stroller on a daily basis for the last three years. My daughter is now 4 and my son 5. The stroller is used indoor and outdoors. My kids have easily pushed each other in it. When my 50 lb son is in the stroller, my daughter can't push him around corners on the carpet anymore because the the rubber has come off the wheels due to the weight. The rubber easily was put back on and the stroller has been doing fine. The stroller has been a space ship, a rocket launching pad, a doll buggy, a shipping cart, a race car (with or without a child in it), and an all around great toy. It has survived going down a slide at a park and accidental crashes into the wall. There are a few scratches, the rubber is still on the wheels and works great and has withstood the test of 2 children playing with all the time. I highly recommend this stroller and am going to buy it for my niece when she turns 1...despite the price.

This is a very nice cart for your toddler to walk with his/her favorite toys around the house. It's quite well balanced and is not too bad on the safety side which is not always the case (cheap ones are too light and not stable enough).

Thomas and Friends Wooden Railway - Talking Railway Morgan's Mine

This is an adorable addition to the talking railway system. The trains go down from the upper level, through the mine, & out on the lower level through the "waterfall". However, you need enough tracks for both levels because it has tracks on two levels. For the top one, you will need a sloped piece, like a slide, to send the trains down the other side (not the one through the mine). But none of the extra tracks kits I have contained this sloped piece. You can use the set without utilizing this part of the upper level, but it's not as much fun.

You must purchase trains that have gold lettering or circular metal tabs on the bottom to hear all the phrases available.

Angel Dear Cuddle Twin Set

Bought "a bear and a spare" as a first "lovey" for my grandson. If he gets attached to it as we expect, he will definitely need an identical "back-up", so this gift-boxed set of two is perfect. The front of the box reads "Cuddle Twins", and the back and the sides also talk about being a twin, which I did not expect, but oh, well. I did quite a lot of research to pick out the perfect attachment item for my grandson, and the Angel Dear brand got many, many high reviews. It also comes in many styles and colors. I got the brown bear, and it is adorable. My son dragged around the same teddy bear for YEARS (or the identical replacements we had to buy whenever he lost one), but I like the idea of a little soft blankie with a cute animal head. It will be easy to hold, easy to pack in a diaper bag and easy to wash. Not too big for a newborn; not too small for a toddler. I'll let you know how he likes it later.

I actually received this as a pair and a spare (3 instead of 2) but 2 would have sufficed. This has been a godsend! My son has the monkeys and took to it immediately. At only a few months old he was wanting something to cuddle in bed. I was nervous to give him a stuffed animal or a blanket for safety reasons, so I pulled out these monkeys. He immediately draped it over his face to sleep which made me nervous for about a minute, but they're so light that they posed no danger at all. It is extraordinarily soft and light still after many many many trips through the washing machine. All three still look brand new!

When I first received them as a shower gift I thought, how odd, three of the same thing. It couldn't be more perfect! We leave one at the cottage, one at home, and there is still one left to come everywhere with us. My son adores them, and we NEVER leave the house without one. He is able to chew on the head while cuddling and holding the blanket part. At nine months now, he is inseparable from his monkey. And best of all, when one gets dirty I just throw it in the laundry and have one still to give him. Also, stopping him from getting upset by the "new" smell that sometimes upsets kids when their blankies are washed. By the time I give a clean one back to him, it has picked up all the proper, mommy/baby/home smells again.

This will be my first go to for shower gifts for people, I can't imagine what we would have done without it!!!! What a well-made, well-designed product!

We have 2 of the brown owls for our now nearly 2 year old. As soon as we saw them, we knew they would be the perfect lovey for our new baby and his woodland forest themed nursery. :) I love having a spare when Mr. Owl needs to be washed or gets misplaced at nap/bedtime. My mother-in-law purchased one of these when my daughter turned 1. She latched onto it and it became her sleep lovie. She started chewing on the nose area, and it started to stink after a while. I needed some back ups so I could rotate them and wash them.

They are super soft and DO NOT MAKE NOISE! So many of these lovies rattle or jingle, which is not good if your little one is trying to sleep!! I have purchased a total of 4 of these and we rotate them and toss them out after the noses get chewed off. Granted, most kids probably won't be chewing on them as much as my little one does, though. But between rotating and washing, 4 of these have lasted over a year now. We will buy more if we need to, great product!

Heimess Rainbow Touch Ring

This rattle is very pretty and fun. It makes very soft sound (it has a small bell in it). My baby likes listen to it and to look at it. I assume when time comes and my daughter can grab toys it would be very easy to grab this rattle. Colored wooden beads I guess can also serve during teething period :) I am very satisfied with this toy.

Lift Up Baby Walker Wheelbarrow Convertible Toy

I purchased this from a different seller, but figured I should put the review here too.

My son is 1 year old and has been putting toys on top of his other walker so we decided to upgrade. When I opened the box, nothing was put together. This was no problem for me, but if you are afraid of assembling, this toy isn't for you. Everything you need was in the box except for a screwdriver. The directions have pretty good pictures and are easy to understand. The only tricky part of the assembly was that the bottom of the wheelbarrow was just a flat sheet of wood. You have to curve it to fit onto the sides. It wasn't really hard, it was just intimidating. To change it from the walker to the wheelbarrow, you have to remove a screw on each side of the handle, change the angle of the handle, then replace the screws. You remove the wheels and replace it with a plastic piece that protects the wood. The wheels are plastic, so I am not sure how durable it will be outside on concrete. We may just replace them with rubber wheels.

The walker is pretty stable and the bucket is large. It is perfect for collecting lots of small toys inside. The wheels are fixed to go straight, but it is light enough to change direction/steer it. Another thing I really like about it is that when my son pulls it towards himself, it doesn't crush his toes. That is a problem we recently started having with his other walking toy because he could not steer it and went from wall to wall back and forth.

I would not recommend this toy for babies who are just learning to walk however. My son can (on purpose) tip this walker over backward to retrieve his toys. It also doesn't have any resistance so can move very fast. I imagine a young baby with little balance would fall over frequently if this was used.
