If you are looking for a cheaper activity gym that folds up, this will work. It's nothing fancy. The one reason we bought it was because it folds up. However, during the folding process we bent one of the bars which makes the whole activity gym lopsided now. Cant bend it back so it is what it is. Overall it is just ok.

Item is as described: is basically a larger sized ball with nubbins on it that are easier for a little one to use when grabbing a ball. I didn't find the points particularly sharp. It's a good starter ball to throw around the house when you have a kid learning to toss around a ball. The picture on the box even shows a kid sitting on his ball (it'd be small, but they could do it), and I could see it standing up to that kind of abuse. Seems durable.

At Christmas I purchased the Mary Jo Gardener version for my niece. It was cute but overall the doll was a bit smaller than I had expected. The activities all seemed appropriate and well sized for small fingers. This time I purchased the Giraffe because she was a bit bigger and I am happier with this item. Both are good quality, and with its bright colors and all the buttons, snaps and zipper it should do the trick. Arrived sooner than predicted shipping date too.

My 13 month old twins love this giraffe. They're very attracted to the colors and like the snuggly softness. The fasteners all work well and are a great intro into fine motor skills. Got my son's first Halloween costume in today, and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and feel of the fabric. It's very soft and not itchy. The only issue it's HUGE! The size says infant 0-6 months, but I compare it to the size of 6-9 months clothing. I'll have to do major alterations so that my (soon to be) 3 month old son can wear it, while his big sis dresses as Dorothy! : Great price, fast shipment, one star lost due to sizing issue. If you've got a big baby, go for it!

The size runs very big, so go by the weight of your child. My son weighed 20lbs at 16 months and the INFANT size (6-12 months) was very baggy on him. The costume itself was adorable and we got lots of compliments! It must have been quite comfortable, because he left it on (even the hat) the whole evening without tugging on it. The quality was not that great. The velcro that holds the pants section closed is stronger than the felt material of the costume, so be very careful when putting it on and taking it off. You can't just rip the velcro open like we do on most things. For one or two Halloween events in the fall, it should hold up just fine. I'm really glad we chose this costume. The price was right and my son looked adorable!

My 8mo loves this. It is great for him to chew on, snuggle up to, wave around, and throw. I don't mind it when he waves it around while in my lap, unlike so many "teethers." The dye from the thread eyes ran a little during the first wash. This didn't detract from the simple appeal of it. The face just looks slightly smudged. I expect that normal wear and washings will take care of this.

I bought this as a gift for my neice on her baptism, and although I have not seen her chew on it yet, the toy is very high quality! It's not very big, but the cotton is organic and soft, and the heal stuffed with wool is firm and cute and the little hands look like a perfect size for a young child to teeth with. I'm very satisfied with this gift, although the shipping and handling was a little steep compared with the price of the item--I would definately buy from this seller as well. It arrived quickly and was even wrapped with tan tissue paper and rafia so I could have given it as a wrapped gift as it arrived! We purchased this little doll in blush for our baby when she was about three months. She never did use it as a sleeping lovely, but at 11 months she still enjoys playing with it especially by teething on it and dangling it off her exersaucer.

The doll is a handy size for infants and small toddlers. The super thing about it is that it is 100% organic cotton and machine washable. The one con is that the doll's white hands and face as well as its light pink hat did yellow almost immediately after its first use probably because it wasn't treated with stain-repellant chemicals like other plush toys. This is strictly aesthetic, but it did make the doll look very worn when it was virtually brand new. On the other hand, the slightly dingy appearance is a fair tradeoff for knowing that the baby isn't ingesting any toxic chemicals by playing with it.

I love this little doll! We bought it for our 6 month old daughter who has been having sleeping issues and it's tiny enough for her to safely snuggle with while sleeping. I looked into the snoedel which was around $35 plus shipping and this one was cuter and only around $11. It's really soft cotton and has an adorable little face. I did notice that when I machine washed and dried it, the face discolored which is supposed to happen if you don't machine dry it. So I think it needs to be REALLY dry otherwise it will get mildew and discolor.

I bought this toy for my 3 mo old daughter for Christmas 2007. She loved it. It was such a cute toy and really aided in her sleeping by herself as she got older. It was fun to peek in on her reaching her finger to make the toy play music or nature sounds. A couple of years later and her little brother came along and he also loved it. They had a hard time sharing, but it would go in his crib when he went to sleep and then when she went down a half hour later with her. Fast forward another couple of years and they both still love it. I tend my baby niece (8 mo) who also loves it. Came on the internet to see if I could find it for a Christmas present for her, but see it isn't available any more. So sad as my husband just commented to me it was probably the one baby item we purchased that we truly got more value out of it than we paid. It is a great toy.

RockAbye Elijah Elephant Rocker -Kids

This is a cute design, but for a product claiming to be "heirloom quality" we were disappointed by the construction. The Elephant we received (along with the replacement from the manufacturer because we complained about the first one) was mounted off centre on the wooden frame. There were also defects in the stitching of the saddle. Also slightly annoying is the difficulty of aligning the music buttons with the stiched on markers on the elephant's head. The music plays somewhat randomly (and started once in the middle of the night). I'm not that unhappy with the toy as it is a very cute design and seems sturdy and durable enough, but if you're expecting "heirloom quality" you may be disappointed.

Our 12 months old (this was a 1st birthday present) sort of likes the toy especially the crinkly ears and the "ride along friend". It's a little large still for her to ride right now (and she's a tall 12 month old), so I'm not sure about the 9 months-3 years age range advertised. I hope she will grow into the toy more in a few months.

Our daughter received this from her g-ma as a birthday gift. Its a cute toy. She didn't play with it much up until a few weeks ago. Now that she's 18 months old she lives on it. I guess the defect of the handles being misaligned is a common one from what I've read. Also the music box which is concealed with velcro just below the trunk is easily removed by curious toddlers, exposing wires that aren't protected. Close supervision with this toy is necessary.

I purchased this for my 7 month old nephew. He's still a bit small for this to ride on his own, but we put him on and rock it for him. I love it and he seems to enjoy it as well.

The toy seems to be very durable, is constructed well no complaints there. I love the little songs it plays, I think as my nephew gets older these can have a learning value (plays an alphabet, counting and color song as well as a fun "rocking" song)

The only tiny complaint I have is that I can't get the fabric to completely cover the song box in the front, it still gapes a bit. But we are working to slowly stretch the fabric, so hopefully it will be well concealed soon.

I think this is a great product and would definitely recommend. I'll be purchasing another for my new born niece for Christmas.

I purchased the pink elephant for my 10 month old daughter from another site, and my daughter was timid around it at first. It's the biggest toy she's owned so far, so I wasn't surprised. We left it out in the room with her, and she warmed up to it after a few days. We'd take her over to it and have her touch it and crinkle the ears. She didn't enjoy sitting on it at first. She now loves it! She loves to sit on it and rock by herself. She loves to stand next to it and dance to the music. The music is very loud and annoying. It's hard to understand the words at first. But she just loves it so much that I can't bring myself to turn it off. You can only turn the music off completely you cannot turn it down. There's a box under the trunk to switch it off, but the speaker is up by the ear, and I'm pretty sure we can't get to it to muffle the volume. Overall, I think it's a great, unique toy, and I'm glad I got it for my daughter, because she loves music and now loves to rock on it. She's large for her age, and she fits well on it. She's about 22-23 pounds and 30 inches tall right now, if that helps you determine what size this toy is good for. I'm sure she'll love this toy for a while though!

We bought this for our niece when she was 18mo old and it was a huge hit. For a while, it was the only thing that kept her occupied for decent stretches of time so that my sister-in-law could cook, etc... uninterrupted. We didn't see any of the construction issues with the rocker that are commonly mentioned in other reviews... Maybe we got lucky?

I will say that I am VERY glad we don't live with this thing, though, because my niece loves the songs on it and they are brutal... The numbers, rocking and colors songs are annoying, but tolerable. However, the ABC song drives me nuts! It couldn't possibly be called educational, because it's NOT the proper/common ABC song and it has lyrics between groups of letters, which is simply not helpful in teaching a child the alphabet (there's a reason the normal ABC song we all know goes straight through the letters without any extra crap in between). I would highly recommend that parents put in the batteries, listen to the songs, and decide if they want to hear them over and over and over before giving this to a child. After all, a kid can't miss something he/she doesn't know about. No batteries = no songs. Less fun for the toddler, for sure, but so much easier on adult ears.

In any case, my sister-in-law doesn't seem to mind the tedious songs and, again, our niece loves this rocker, so 4 stars.

This product offers a better variety of sizes for the little one to put into order than the little plastic one for smaller children. It also covers all of the colors in the color spectrum with a few more greens and blues for light and dark comparison.

The only drawback is that my little one likes to try to put them on her fingers for rings and sometimes they get stuck.

Over all I am pleased with this product.

My 18 month old loves this as does her 3 year old brother. It's so nice to have more than 5 rings, and because each ring has the same size hole you can stack them any which order you please. I bought this for my daughter to play with as an early Montessori 'job'. So far, it keeps her attention 3-4 times longer than the cheap plastic version that you can buy anywhere. Also, great quality. One thing that is not mentioned though, is that the color is more of a stain on the wood than a paint (it's not glossy). I was expecting more of a finish like Haba, but that's ok!

This toy is not only a household favorite, its also an excellent gift! We purchased this for our second child to replace the M&D stacker that we got for our first child. The M&D paint peeled and chipped after only a few weeks of use. This stacker is STAINED with a natural/non-toxic stain that seems much more durable. So this is a stellar stacker. All of Grimm's wooden toys are hand dyed and made in Germany. The colors practically glow. It makes a nice stacker toy and because the pieces are bigger you can use them as blocks as well.

Fisher-Price Little Superstar Bop 'n Beats Drum Set

I thought this would be a great toy, I mean, a drum set for a baby. But this just isn't a drum set, it is a badly designed hard plastic toy that makes noise. And half the time it doesn't even make drum like sounds but sings for you. Or yells at you. I mean, hit that plastic drum and half the time it will sing for you "babadoo ba ba ba". Common. That is just simply dumb. If there had been a button for the toy so that it only made drum sound in mode one and did this stupid singing/yelling in the mode two I might have liked it a little better. Or make more parts that do the yelling if you so wish. But the "beebeede beebabooo Yeahh" is even irritating to my seven month old. This could so easily have been a great toy. I thought more highly of Fisher Price than this. Slight modifications on the sound would have made it nicer and make some of the hard plastic soft (for my teething 7 month old). And why not have more parts that move and rattle to make sounds on their own, what is wrong with that? As is it is not a very nice toy. I was so disappointed!

I purchased this for my daughter after my husband saw it in a store (he's a musician) and my daughter was thrilled with it immediately (5.5 months old then.) She "got it" right away and never seems to tire of it. I was pleased with the sturdy construction and the dual volumes. I like that it plays both scats, and each instrument individually. It's bright, colorful, and I love that all the pieces have smiling faces, as babies really identify and enjoy faces on EVERYTHING. This was well worth the money and I have recommended it to many other mom's in my online groups. It's a great toy!

UPDATE: My daughter is now 15 months old and still plays with this toy. I just wanted to add that it is still going strong and holds her interest.

Got this as a gift for my daughter this past Christmas. I know, I know, if it's enjoyable for baby it shouldn't matter to dad, but I was hoping that there would be more musical features with this toy (I have to agree with reviewer Sigrun Hreinsdottir, the scatting "biddabeebopbopboo" is a tad irritating) and my daughter only plays with it sporadically, it doesn't really hold her interest. If there's one toy I would recommend it would be the LeapFrog Learn & Groove Musical Table, I got this for her last Christmas and she STILL enjoys playing with it (I'll be writing a separate review for that, but let me say beforehand that I do highly recommend it). In all fairness to this product, my nephews seem to enjoy it.

Winfun Letter Train And Piano Activity Table

This was one at the lower end of the activity table price range, so I was a little wary. But I found a FEW reviews, here and on other sites, and though there weren't many, they were all good.

I don't know why more people don't buy this table! It is very cute. I have friends with other tables, including the Leap Frog, and Fisher Price, and I think there is more to do on this table. I got this for my son when he was around 8 months old. At that point, he mainly used it to practice standing up. He loves banging on it, so many different pieces make noise.

I like that it is gender neutral. It has everything from butterflies to trains. The little train always comes off (it is supposed to), but it has never gotten lost. I hope it doesn't, because he isn't really old enough to understand what it does yet. That is something else I love about this table, I can see how he will be able to use it as he gets older.

The only downside to this table, is that the legs aren't as sturdy as some other tables I've seen. This was only a little bit of a problem when he was trying to pull himself up to in the very beginning. It has never fallen, but I was a little worried it might. Now that he is more skilled (and probably taller) he is able to pull up to it without any problem at all.

I really like this table, I would recommend it to anyone with a little one. For the price (I paid $30), it is well worth it!

I am so glad I found this activity table for my 16-month old! For months I've wanted to get her an activity table, but I wasn't able to find one that I liked or wasn't worried about it having lead or something. Every parent looking for a fun activity table that isn't annoyingly repetitive this is the table for you. It has a ton of different songs, sounds and stations for kids to play with. I wish it was taller or at least had adjustable legs --our daughter is about 30inches tall and it hits her right below her tummy-overall it was shorter than we were expecting. The train isn't attached to the table so your kiddo can play with it around the house, but when its on its little track on the activity table it can activate 3 little buttons which make noise, play a song etc., which was a fun thing to discover. It has the "standard" two volume option which is great, my husband and I didn't find it overly loud like some of her other toys. The piano keys play real notes versus some toys where they play songs or other random sounds when pressed. Oh, and I think it's pretty gender neutral. I highly recommend this toy.

This table is awful. The legs are so weak and not sturdy at all. The table kept falling over on my daughter every time she tried to play with it. My daughter LOVES the Whoozit! She has the female version (pink body instead of blue). This toy has a red heart that makes the "crinkling" noise when you play with it. Because it is red and makes the noise it is my daughter's favorite part of the toy. Since she's teething, she loves to put it into her mouth and chew on it. Unfortunately, she was chewing on it one day in the grocery store when the red heart got lodged in her throat. She was not breathing at all. Luckily, I was right in front of her, noticed it, and immediately pulled out the toy. I just can't help but wonder what might have happened if I had not been standing right there with her when it happened. I've told several of my friends about this and they told me of similar stories they have heard from other people. From now on, I tuck the red heart into the inside of the toy (between the two body sections) so my daughter can't get to it. All the kids who I've seen playing with it seem to love the Whoozit, but the one crinkle piece is a choking hazard.

I love this toy, but more importantly, my baby loves this toy. We got it for her when she was 3 months old, and she has loved it ever since. I proceeded to buy almost every toy in this line because she loves it so much! My daughter, now 10 months, loves to play and chew on the hanging things, and she laughs at the face. It is also very portable, and is small enough to bring anywhere. It can be attached by the loop and velcro to almost anything. An absolute must for any baby!

I LOVE this toy!!! I received it as a gift before my son was born and it just sort of sat in the pile of baby toys I was accumulating. When he was just over a month old and really beginning to see things, I started pulling out toys to see if any would catch his interest. The Whoozit won out over all of them. He could grab the Whoozits arms even with his tiny hands and he gets older he "discovers" more about the toy and still enjoys playing with it. While the beginning age range is 3 months, don't wait! Our Whoozit is what seemed to draw my son's interest the earliest and it's a great toy to help with naptime and car rides.

I'm so bummed because my infant loves this toy, and I lost it. I went to purchase it for him again, and somewhere along the way was directed to a great website that tests products for contaminants. I looked up this product, and found out the red nose contains lead and bromine. The nose is what my son sucked on the most. I rated everything a 5-star because it is fun, education, etc., but the fact that pieces of the product contain carginogens and lead made me rate is overall a 1, and I will not be purchasing this product. Shining Stars Hedgehog

These toys are soft and adorable! On top of that you're giving them a real star! How cool is that? Half of my grandkids are now planning to be astronauts! They use the Nasa site to check on their stars and usually end up widening their search. The teens and preteens really enjoy the game site. In addition to all this a portion of the profits goes to children's charities. I have rarely been happier with a gift I've purchased.

Cloud b Twilight Constellation Night Light, Lady Bug

Everything you read in the other reviews are true. The top of this "stuffy" is a hard plastic case for the light to shine through. We were fortunate enough to have tried these at a cousins house and my daughter fell in love. I took extra caution to make sure we ordered one that displayed the constellations on the ceiling (vs just a glow light). It is wicked cool and I enjoy looking up at the stars as we cuddle at night. Best of all, in exchange for this constelation night light (which only glows x 45 min) my daughter gave up her contiously burning night light. It is a wonderful transition.

My son loved his turtle one so we thought we'd get one for our daughter and she loves it!!! They help make bedtime that much easier!!

LeapFrog Tag Junior Toddler Milestones Book Set

I wasn't sure that these books would go over well since Leap isn't a super popular character (not on Nick Jr or Disney Jr that I know of), but since they cover some good topics for toddlers we got them anyway. Our son likes them, and they were discussion starters/teaching tools especially the one about emotions.

I sent these books and the tag reader to my boyfriends grandparents as a gift for his nephew. They were so amazed with the technology. Furthermore, they were amazed by their 1.5 year old grandchild's ability to interact with the books. He was so engaged and excited by the littlest things the book did. I purchased the preschool tag reader a few years ago for a birthday and that child still loves it!

Filino Pull Toy

This toy is lots of simple, colorful, fun. Toddlers love to pull it around, and it's very safe because they use kid-safe dyes/paints, and the posts that the beads go on fold down. The only negatives are that it is smaller than I had anticipated (which my toddler doesn't care about at all) and I had to take away the very smallest beads because they could fit in my child's mouth. But he doesn't know the difference and we've had this toy since December 08, and he still plays with it off and on. It's nice to have an alternative to the plastic junk that is everywhere, even if it is more expensive.

I bought this for my 9 month old daughter about a month ago, and she has loved playing with it every day since. She has many fine toys and this is definitely one of her favorites of all time. It keeps her happilly occupied for quite some time.

Before I gave it to her, I got some claification on why the 18+ month sticker was put over the 12+ month label This has to do with some new testing in Germany that shows that babies under 18 months have not yet developed the reflex to automatically expel an object that they have in their mouth if they happen to fall asleep (and possibly just lay down, I can't remember) with the object in their mouth such that it could block their breathing just while laying in their mouth. No laws have been enacted in Germany in response to this testing, but Selecta decided to change their labeling proactively. The pieces of this toy do not fit through a choke tube and therefore are not small enough to pose a choking hazard, but I did find that my daughter could put the two smallest pieces all the way into her mouth (barely), so given this testing I decided to put those two pieces aside until after she is 12 months old (tbd). This new testing from Germany applies to just about anything a child can put all the way in their mouth and potentially fall asleep with and I applaud Selecta for being so proactive with safety labels. The key with this or any other toy with mouth sized pieces is simply to not allow a child to fall asleep with it nor to keep it in a crib.

That said, this toy is very well made and very safe, it even has bendable stacking posts that give way if fallen on. My daughter absolutely loves to chew on all of the pieces, I think they feel great on her gums, especially the dog's ears (she even prefers chewing on this to Sophie, and she loves Sophie). She also loves to bang the pieces together or with her maracas or on a table to make music and she often crawls around the house with a piece in her hand. While she isn't old enough to stack the pieces herself, she loves watching me do it and loves promptly unstacking them. The best part of the unstacking fun is that she has discovered that she can launch the pieces and make them fly a few feet by bending and then letting go of the posts, which makes her laugh every time. She also enjoys pulling the toy around with the string, and yes, as the other reviewer mentioned, the heads do fall off if she doesn't pull straight, but I don't think this takes away from her enjoyment of the toy at all. Afterall, she's only 10 months old.

Had been looking for a pull toy. This one tries to be both stacking and

pull toy but it cannot be used as a pull toy because the dog/cat heads

keep falling off. It may work as a stacking toy, were it not for the

wheels and pull string.

Good construction, but not what we were looking for.

And the box print says recommended for 1+, but came with

a sticker saying it should not be used for toddlers under 18 months,

as it has "potential of causing injury in area of throat".

Plush Stuffed Baby Duck Collection 5" Set of 3

The bench these ducks are sitting on must have been through the "Honey, I Shrunk The Kids" device... These are tiny!
