Justice League Child's Supergirl Tutu Dress

Justice League Child's Supergirl Tutu Dress - ToddlerThe dress was marked as a size medium, but it is more like a small. The quality is good. But it is very tight. As you know trying to take a gift like this away from a 4 year old is not happening.

The quality of this is awful and the skirt hikes up in the back. There are strings hanging out all over the place. The gap between the small and the medium is immense!! This is a very badly designed and constructed product.

my daughter loves super heroes so i bought this for her birthday. it ripped within the first week in several places. cheaply made and not worth what they are asking for it.

This was a gift for my granddaughter who thinks she has super powers. She is 3 1/2, and the Small fit well with a little growing room. The dress is easy on/off with a Velcro closure, and it seems to be holding up well. My only complaint is that the cape is meant to Velcro directly around the neck and if done that way, it would be really right and uncomfortable. Instead, we have been pinning it to the costume shoulders. I intend to put Velcro on the shoulders to make this easier.

Fisher-Price Lil' Zoomers Shake & Crawl Racer

Fisher-Price Lil' Zoomers Shake & Crawl RacerMy husband and I purchased this toy for our 7 month old at Toys R Us. He had started to crawl and we wanted him to have a toy he could chase. Here are the pros and cons of this toy in my opinion...

Pros:

Fun sound effects

Car moves on its own when the rattle is shaken

Has 2 setting so the car can go strait or in a circle

Volume control so the toy has a quieter setting

Cons:

Toy cost is on the expensive side

Does not work too well on carpet

There is only traction on one of the wheels so it stops easily if anything gets in the way

If the car is too far away the rattle doesn't work

I have to chase down the car often and redirect it to make it move for my son again

I gave the toy 4 stars because I totally recommend it in spite of the cons. It is a fun interactive toy that encourages crawling. I also recommend getting the toy early when your baby first start to sit up on their own to maximize its use because the toy is not cheap.

I bought this as a birthday gift for a one year old but when it came I wished I had gotten it for my two year old for Christmas. It's perfect for the whole age range. You can make the car go by shaking the rattle or rolling the ball on top. It's extremely durable (which is a plus these days!)and interesting for babies who are just sitting up to toddlers running around. I'm purchasing a second one for my sons birthday!

My son and I love this toy. He will set around for hours and watch the car going around and around. I did have a problem in the beginning with the rattle working, but you just reset the car (turn the car off and then back on)it and it works fine.

I am a very picky mom when it comes to toys for my son ..specially with so many toys and so many companies in the market ..

I look for a variety , durability , and my son should not get bored by playing with it after few times ..This toy has passed all these tests ....its adorable with a wonderful bright color ...My son 10 months old absolutely loves this toy ..Its unique in its way ..Ever since My son started crawling and he makes it go forward go backward which it does not but he still tries .I wish i could upload a video when he is playing with it ..i will try to ..

This is a good purchase ..

This is a great toy! My son got this when he was 5 months old. He wasn't able to shake the rattle hard enough to make the car move. I had to help him with it. Now that he is 9 months old, he is able to shake it hard enough to make it work. You have to be in close proximity to the toy though. He likes to spin the wheels and the underneath gears when the toy is off. Occasionally he shrieks so loud that it makes the car go without shaking the rattle.

Edushape Wonder Cubes Baby Blocks

Edushape Wonder Cubes Baby BlocksGreat soft blocks for a little one. Different sounds, textures, colors, and pictures. The only negative was that I was expecting wooden wheels like in the photo, but ours came with plastic Orange wheels. Not as cute, but the little one doesn't notice and has just as much fun with them. Good toy.

I really like these blocks for an infant. The baby is only 6 months old and tumbles over her toys every once in a while, so it's great that these blocks are soft. Each block makes a different noise when shaken, they have different texture material that the baby can handle, they crinckle, and can be assembled into 3 pictures. Very neat and have lots of room for exploring for an infant. The pull-along cart is a nice bonus.

Bell Infant Mini Helmet

Bell Infant Mini HelmetI never imagined how difficult it would be to find a bike helmet for my daughter, who just turned 1. Every helmet I find from the reputable brands (Bell, Gyro, Schwinn) are always advertised for ages 3 and up, and although my darling girl did inherit her father's larger than average head, the "toddler size" helmet just seemed too large and heavy for her. I came upon this helmet at a local sporting goods store yesterday, and it fits my girl perfectly!!! The only thing I had to do was adjust the chin strap to be a little tighter, and it's perfect! She even likes it, which surprised me, since she DOES NOT like hats, bows, etc. on her head. The buckle seems to be a great design that will eliminate the risk of pinching her. I also like the flashers/reflectors on the back, as an added visibility factor. We tried her in her bike seat, and it seems like it will work out great. We are all looking forward to our first family bike ride, and since we are in Florida, and it's 80 degrees in December, that may even happen this weekend! Kudos to Bell for what seems to be a great helmet for our smallest rider.

Rhino Toys 4-Inch Oball Rattle (Set of 2)

Rhino Toys 4-Inch Oball Rattle, OrangeI bought these for my baby when he was about 3 months old.

They are easy to hold and have the rattles which add some interest.

They are flexible and baby tries to put them in his mouth but they are not too heavy so even at 3 months they weren't too heavy.

I highly recommend these over some of the more interesting balls because they are light and very easy to grasp.

He is now almost 6 months and still loves this ball although he does play with some of the others for longer now that he is more advanced and curious!

Recommended for 2-12 months.

Disney Winnie the Pooh Foam Play Mat Puzzle

Disney Winnie the Pooh Foam Play Mat PuzzleThis foam mat puzzle has many possibilities. The pieces can be lined up in order from 1-9, pieced together to form a square as shown, lined up and used as a "road" for toy cars, pieced together to form a box, stacked, shaped into a tunnel for toy cars, wet and stuck to the side of the bath tub, and much more. For such an inexpensive play-thing, children can come up with some pretty creative ways to play with it! It's foam, so if your child likes to chew on things, it could be dangerous as the foam tears and comes off easily. So it is not a good idea for babies or teething toddlers. Otherwise, pick your kids' favorite characters and watch them be entertained!

2-in-1 Activity Table by KidKraft PNo: 17576 # 17576

2-in-1 Activity Table by KidKraft PNo: 17576 # 17576Bought this for my 2 yr old son. It is perfect for his height. The train track included is pretty short but serves it's purpose for the size of the table. I put 2 stars for durability because we like to turn the table over quite a bit because my daughters like to use the lego part & it bends a bit from being turned over. Not super sturdy. Like that it has storage under table piece too.

Gund Christmas Magic Messenger 17.5" Elf Gund Fun

Gund Christmas Magic Messenger 17.5' Elf Gund FunAfter seeing the Elf on the Shelf, my wife and I decided to try something similar. I didn't care for the look of the EOTS, so we sought out an alternative. We found this great little plush. It doubles as an elf and one of those underpants gnomes for those of you South Park lovers out there.

I love the recording feaure it elfifies (read makes elf-like) your voice. We are doing a twelve days of Christmas count down and the kids have to decipher the message every day to get their prize or hint. Then, they can record a message to us if they want. It puts a nice new twist on Christmas as the kids get older. For the younger kids, it ends the recording with "I'll make he knows just what you want" indicating his ability to deliver the message to the big man himself.

Overall fun toy, and despite the kids recording and playing messages for the last four days straight, the batteries have not died (something nice to see in toys nowadays).

This was one of the cutest elves I have. My son collects elves and this one with his elfin voice and recording is a treat. He loved telling him his wishes and hearing them played back. Please note that it does not record your voice--it changes it into the elf voice for playback.

My kids realy liked having Elf with us. They looked forward to see what Elf say every morning. Although my second son, who was 3, didn't like that Elf knew exactly what he did wrong. I think my husband was the one that enjoyed it the most, it was hard for him to say good bye to Elf after Christmas. The only thing I didn't like was that sometimes it was hard to understand after you record the message. You have to speak very clearly and loudly, but other than that, this is a great idea to work with your kids to improve their behavior, at least till Christmas.

Sassy Jitter Bugs Toy

Sassy Jitter Bugs ToyThis little bug is my 4 month old girl's favorite toy. She has been in love with it ever since her eyes could focus. The big black and white eyes and the antennas get her attention every time! Now that she is starting to grab things with her hands, this is still her favorite because of his polka-dotted feet! I am buying a "twin" so that if we ever lose him we won't have a crisis on our hands! Definitely recommended! (Note: The jitterbug I received was a different color than the picture. I was not aware that colors could vary, but the baby loves it just as much as the original.)

My 5 month old loves this toy. The vibrating feature makes him giggle; he stares at the bright colors, and he loves the crinkling sounds when he grabs. it.

I bought this on a whim thinking it was cute. This is my baby's favorite toy and has been since he was 2 months old! I always have it on his car seat, because if he gets upset when we're in the car this toy is the one thing that distracts him and calms him down. He loves the spotted feet and smiley face. It vibrates on the way up, after you pull the draw string. The wings crinkle when you squeeze them. There is also a jingle ball inside to rattle. The stringy legs are nice and easy to work with for my baby's developing grasp. Having a baby with special needs, I've noticed that not many toys interest him = work = development. This is a keeper! Love this toy!

We gave this to my son as a toy to take with us to eat out when he was a few months old. Now, he's 8 months and still loves it. We strap it to his wrist or the high chair to keep it from being tossed on the floor. I've had to wash it a few times though when I forget and he drops it in dirty stuff. I wash it by hand and toss it in the dryer. It still vibrates just fine. He loves the dangly legs.

Just an edit, my son is one year old now and still goes back to this toy periodically to play with it.

LEGO Quatro Bucket

LEGO Quatro BucketI didn't think 12mo Sam would really be able to use the quatro bricks, which are twice the size of duplo (and therefore 4x regular lego size). To my surprise, they were a hit.

The blocks stick together easily and come apart with no fuss. The top of the storage chest doubles as a base plate. There are orange, purple and green blocks, which was an eye-opener for me: I've never seen a purple lego block.

Sam wasn't building the Great Wall of China out of the box, but the set seemed age-appropriate, durable and fun.

They blocks are indeed easy to pull apart a bit too easy, as the airplane I keep making keeps falling apart. And the lid is great as a building surface, although it's concave (pushed down) a bit so that getting the blocks to stick to it is sometimes tricky.

But the size, number, and colors are great our 13-month-old loves them!

Buy LEGO Quatro Bucket Now

Everyone has fun with these blocks. I think they are a great investment. My son is 1 and has fun building with (and knocking down) his Quatros. It is a great toy for interactive play something he and his daddy play with almost every night before bed. Also, my husband and brother enjoy building with these too ;-) I think it is a toy that'll last more than a few months probably for many years. It is also nice that it is compatible with the preschool table and Duplos. I highly recommend it!

I bought this item for my one-year-old grandson for his birthday, and he is likes it a lot, but my three-year-old granddaughter has been playing with them non-stop. She absolutely loves the Lego blocks! They allow creativity and imagination, and non-stop enjoyment. My grandson can't build things yet, but he likes putting them in the container and taking them out, and, of course, knocking down whatever has been built. Recommend this toy highly.

Want LEGO Quatro Bucket Discount?

I know that there is a relatively brief period of time that these Lego Quatro blocks will be useful before my son discovers the smaller, sturdier Duplos, but I just couldn't wait to introduce him to the building blocks that captivated me as a child.

At just 9 months old, my son is too young for the Duplo series. That's where these extra large Quatro blocks come in perfectly. They are larger and softer than their toddler-appropriate counterparts, but they are every bit as much fun, even if they're only being used as teething aides or noisemakers! As other reviewers have stated, the blocks don't stay together as securely as the Duplos would, but I find that to be beneficial while my son is learning how to put them together and take them apart. It also makes the inevitable collapses of my Lego towers that much more spectacular when my son knocks them down!

We chose the extra large bucket of Quatros and don't regret it in the least. There are plenty of blocks in a variety of colors, and being able to use the lid as a building surface is a nice touch. Even if they are only "useful" for a few months, it is well worth it for our family to be able to play with Legos together.

Nursery Peter Rabbit, 11" Plush Stuffed Animal

Nursery Peter Rabbit, 11' Plush Stuffed AnimalMy new & only Great Grandchild was visiting for the Easter holidays. Whar better gift to give the 3 month old than the favorite story of my childhood ~ Peter Rabbit. I went to Amazon because they always have just what I'm looking for! I was not disappointed! A soft, stuffed Peter Rabbit in his little Blue Jacket, suitable for a baby to hold while his Mommy & Daddy read the story about Peter to him. Soft & cuddly, the perfect size & made very well. I know it will remain in his nursery for years to come.

The story of Peter Rabbit, was a favorite when I was a child, and I read the story to my children when they were young. Now that I have two grandsons, what better way to spread the joy, than a soft and cuddly Peter Rabbit? This was an Easter gift to both of the babies, and both really enjoyed taking their first steps with the bunny near by, and then walking around the house with him tagging along. This toy is soft and huggable, and unbelievably precious. If you get the idea that I'm going to buy one or more for myself, you aren't wrong. I wish I had had this when I was a toddler, or when my children were. It is a perfect toy for babies and toddlers. The colors are soft and, Peter is a cute, and wonderful friend for tiny people. Maybe even for their grandparents too!

Manhattan Toy Wimmer Ferguson See and Say Book

Manhattan Toy Wimmer Ferguson See and Say BookI bought this book for my 4 month old daughter so that I could have something to read to her for story time that she would be interested in. There were just enough words on the pages to keep her attention while she viewed the pictures and her favorite part of the book was the end with the mirror so she could see herself. I liked it for her and even more so, i liked that she liked it.

My baby is eight weeks old, and she's been enjoying this book since she was about six weeks old. The mirror at the end of the book is precious, and doesn't make her face look creepy and warped like the safety plastic mirrors on her other toys.

Alex Jr. Soft Rocker, SheepThe sheep rocker is amazingly soft and we love how the babies sit in the rocker and not on top.

We are buying the elephant as well fingers crossed it's as nice.

The rocker itself is ADORABLE! We used it for a photo shoot and it was too cute. As a rocker though it is pretty worthless. There really is no rock action to it. Basically if you want an adorable photo prop this is perfect, if you truly are looking for a toy, pass on this one.

I saw this elephant while visiting FAO Schwartz in NYC. I immediately fell in love with it for my 6 month old grandaughter. I was excited to see it on Amazon.com and ordered it right away.. When i received it, i was disappointed that the handle behind the ears was broken. After speaking with a great customer service representative, i decided when they came back in stock after Christmas, I would re-oder a replacement. Unfortunately, the replacement came damaged, as well. ( it was torn, one rocker was loose and the head wasn't well connected.) I love the look of this elephant, but it is definitely not worth the money, even with the sale price i paid. I decided not to go for the third replacement. Customer service is exceptional, but product quality was less than mediocre and i wouldn't recommend this for purchase.

Chicco Baby Jogging

Chicco Baby JoggingMy 9m old girl really enjoys this walker. I had a tough time finding walkers because I have tile floors and those walkers with plastic wheels just don't work on hard floors. It has a strip of rubber that cover the wheels and rubber rollerblade brake-like pads on the rear wheels that allow for more control, it doesn't seem like it can get away from her, but it does move smoothly forwards and backwards. It's very stable, as she can pull herself up using this walker and it will not tip over. I also like that there are 6 height settings allowing it to grow with your child (mine is tall for her age). Of course since she is just learning how to walk, she falls occasionally, but she just falls back to her bum. I don't expect to see any face plants with this well designed walker, it's worth the money! It also plays a happy tune and lights up as your child pushes it, the music stops if they stop and gets faster if it's pushed faster. I really believe that this encourages her to keep trying! Yes, the walker has no toys or other "bells & whistles" on the front like other ones, but this is exactly what I wanted.

So if you want a simple, well built walker that works on bare floors as well as carpet and won't tip over on your child, then this is the walker for you!

This looks like a good idea on paper, but was poorly executed. The idea of it having adjustable height seems great to sort of grow with your child as they learn to pull them selves up to a standing position and then progress through the stages of eventually walking on their own. Plus having the music play as it's pushed to encourage the child to keep going is a great idea.

The max height is a little lower than you would expect though. My daughter is tall, but started walking at an early age and this had to be set to the highest setting for her and wouldn't have lasted long had it not broke.

As for the breaking part...the front axle is made of a small metal rod that is so small an flimsy our 7 month old daughter was apparently too strong for it. After about two weeks of use it started making a clicking noise near one of the front wheels. A quick inspection found the axle was a little bent and the clicking noise was from the mechanism near the wheel that triggers the music. Other than an annoying clicking sound all seemed well so we let our daughter keep playing with it. After all, she loved it. About a week after the clicking started we noticed that it would catch suddenly not allowing the front wheel to turn, causing the whole unit to tip forward and the kid to go tumbling forward bouncing her face off the unit. Needless to say it found the trashcan.

Can't believe that a company like Chicco would make such a cheap and potentially dangerous product. Heaven forbid your kid decides to try and play with this toy when you're not looking.

Buy Chicco Baby Jogging Now

This was the 3rd walker we tried for our daughter. With no carpeting in the house, we were disappointed that all the other ones seemed to slide all over the place as if the wheels were on ice! They were dangerous and one even flipped toward my daughter and hit her in the face when she tried to pull herself up with the handlebar.

This one is great because it's flip-proof as the back tires have these guards on them to keep the entire unit from tipping. Secondly, it has rubber on the tires. A huge plus. The song speeds up as my daughter does, and she seems to want to play with little else now that she can walk alone (well, without us holding her to steady her).

Two other great features are: 1) the unit folds down for easy storage or transportation, and 2) the song, while not my favorite, is not overly annoying.

We do have to help her steer as the unit is tricky to maneuver, but that's not a huge problem and she seem to be getting the hang of it.

My only gripe is that compared to the other walkers, this does nothing besides help her walk. Most of them have an activity center on the front that the baby can play with as they are sitting down. This one doesn't. But she loves it so much, I still give it 4 stars.

Great product! FINALLY!!

Read Best Reviews of Chicco Baby Jogging Here

One of the front wheels provides resistance and clicks forward I assume this is so the walker doesn't move forward faster than the baby can handle. The problem is that the other wheel doesn't act the same way, so the walker skews to one side. I find myself always holding both sides and walking behind my baby so that he doesn't fall and so that he can actually make some progress... and that sort of defeats the purpose of buying the walker, imo.

Want Chicco Baby Jogging Discount?

I bought this for my 8 month old because she was really cruising around the room and I thought she would enjoy it. She loves it! She took to it right away and it was perfect because when I first got it she was still slow and a little unsteady. The wheels have a rubber gripper around them that keeps the wheels from slipping and they have stoppers on the back wheels that look like roller blade brakes that help keep it from tipping over when they pull up on the handle. I initially thought I would be able to control the speed but you can't. It is very sturdy and when she pulled up on it using the handle it did not tip or move out from under her. The only thing I don't like is she can't turn it but I think that is pretty common amoung these types of walkers. There are no bells and whistles. It does play a little song that goes faster as the baby walks faster but there are no toys on it like some of the other walkers but she has plenty of toys. She has used this on carpet and the tiles in the kitchen and she was able to keep up with it unlike some of the walkers that go really fast on hard floors. It says it has six positions but that means the handle has 3 height options, the body has 2 positions and it can be folded flat for storage.

Shining Stars by Russ Shining Stars Dragon

Shining Stars by Russ Shining Stars DragonAfter purchasing the Shining Stars Dragon for a review on my website I was impressed with the quality of the toy itself. I have purchased many stuffed animals in my time and the quality of the Shining Stars toys are above average, although they are not perfect they are above average. The fur does not "tuft out" (come out in tufts when played with) like many stuffed toys do, the shedding of fur is minimal which is a definite plus as there is nothing worse than a bald stuffed animal! The only negative aspects of the construction of the toy for me were the presence of felt which in my opinion lowers the quality standard and the construction of the wings on the dragon. The dragon's "spines" and nostrils are both constructed out of the felt but since these aren't major aspects of the toy construction they don't worry me too much. The wing construction doesn't present a huge flaw, the stitching is the problem I have as it could and will be easily separated by a child trying to make the dragon "fly" but should the wings come unstitched that is no loss as they are still secured in a central location.

The website registration aspect of the toy is easy enough and the interactive backend of the "members only" section of the site is a fun process which can give minimal entertainment to a child as well as give them an opportunity to characterize their toy and give it a personality. While the star naming and star chart aspect of the Shining Stars may seem "cheesy" to an adult, I firmly believe it would be a fun and educational experience for a child.

Pros

Astrologically educational, Imaginative, Interactive and durable

Cons

Interactive website encourages sedentary activity.

My 7 year old nephew loves this toy. He carried it around with him and sleeps with it at night and talks to it. It's "fur" is fluffy and durable and sparkles like a star.

My nephew and I went to the website and assigned his dragon to the Draco constellation, named the star, and named his dragon; then we spent a good half hour or so enjoying the interactive website, where one can use points to "buy" a world for your shining stars pet to visit, and "buy" accessories for the world. We also had a laugh dressing up his virtual dragon as a pirate.

I think the best feature is the educational value of naming a star in a constellation you pick. He now notices the stars, and every night we go out and look at the various constellations and he asks, "Audra, where is my star at?" and I point out the general location. My other nieces and nephews can't wait for their turn to name a star in the sky after them!

If you go to wwww.shiningstars.com, you are informed that Russ Berrie, licensor of the Shining Stars line, has filed for bankrupcy on April 26, 2011. You are also informed that the Shining Stars website is no longer maintained. If you are buying the toy just because it's cute, great. If you want the star registry print out, you won't be getting it.

Also, remember that the Star Registry is not really legitimate. Astronomers don't recognize the Star Registry. Hope this helps.

My daughter got this for Christmas last year (she was 3). We only set up the web account and named the star last month. I've read reviews saying to stick w/webkinz and based on my experience with my niece and nephews i agree that webkinz is a more sophisticated site. However, my daughter, who has since turned 4, really likes the website. She is learning good basic computer skills and mouse coordination. She thinks the games are fun and since she doesn't know how to read, the more advanced games and interaction with buddies that is on webkinz is beyond her anyway. I think shining stars is a great introduction to webkinz. I am sure by the time she is 6 we will have moved on from this, but in the meantime I think it's a great starter program.

Haba Flipkin

Haba FlipkinThis toy is so fun! It has four distinct sides that you can keep turning to reveal. One is blue with darker blue dots, one is pink with red butterflies who have crinkle wings, one is blue with a yellow sun on it, and the last is green with an embroidered pink flower. I think this is a toy appropriate for both genders. My son loves this toy although at four months old he needs a little help turning it.

I bought this toy after purchasing several other Haba toys and being very impressed with the quality. I learned after purchasing it, however, that Haba has this toy made in China. Most of their other toys are made in Germany (maybe just the wood ones??). I have nothing against China as a country, but am a little wary of their QC after hearing reports that some products companies had made there were not made to specification and instead made of lower quality and sometimes even harmful substances.

Since there is no metal or paint on this toy, I'm not worried about the inclusion of harmful substances. I would feel a little better, however, if this toy were NOT made in the PRC.

My husband and I love this toy. Currently, our little munchkin (6mths.) finds it very entertaining to chew on. Baby began trying to manipulate it. I feel that this will be a better toy in about a month or so when his motor skills catch up to what the toy is intended to do. Great colors, concept, and design.

Gobble & Go Hippo

Gobble & Go HippoUnlike some of the other reviews I've read, our hippo gobbles pretty well. Not only does he gobble blocks, but I've seen other objects pop up into his belly.

That said, this is by far one of my daughter's favorite toys. I bought it for her when she was around 9 or 10 months old. We have other Peek-a-Blocks at home which she really enjoys, so I figured that if she wasn't really into the hippo, she'd at least have new blocks. Well, it turns out she LOVES the hippo, and plays with it daily. It's given her so much confidence and has probalby been strengthening her muscles all of them, since she not only walks with the hippo, but swings it around as well! Hey, it's got to be durable if it can stand that much abuse.

We haven't tried the ride-on conversion as of yet, but as far as I can tell, she enjoys playing with the blocks and she's delighted for being so mobile.

All in all, I'd consider this toy a pretty good value for the money. At less than $25, you get a walker, a ride on AND a set of blocks. Not bad in my book.

Before you buy this though, ask yourself: do I want to encourage my crawler who already gets into everything to be even more mobile? Really, shouldn't we be doing everything we can to keep those kids as immobile as possible? I don't know about you but the keep-up-with-your-toddler exercise plan is wiping me out. Our 9 month old daughter was already pretty mobile but had just started to cruise and wasn't great at it. Well along comes Mr. Hippo and forget it. She's toddling all over the place now and it's only a month later. At first he was a little too fast for her but now she can keep up. Our dogs go running when they hear old gobble-and-go clipping across the floor heading straight their way.

On the "gobble" topic. He doesn't exactly gobble that well, it's true. The mechanism that pushes the blocks from his "mouth" to his middle is very soft and turns very loosely so sometimes the blocks just sit against it in his "mouth". Hey, that's okay. If your kid is like mine and loves shoving her hands anywhere and everywhere at least you don't have to worry that they'll be "gobbled" or pinched or whatever.

Overall though, he's one sturdy little hippo. He's been rammed into furniture, and into aforementioned pets repeatedly (not repeatedly into the pets though, as I said, they learned to flee early on) with no damage. So if you really want to help that little mover and shaker to move even more, go for it.

We are huge peek a block fans in our home, so when this toy came out, I went right out and got it for our daughter's first b-day. We played with it right away, but I was not impressed! Of course the blocks are great, but Mr. Hippo doesn't eat up his food like he is supposed to, my daughter has a hard time pushing him cause the handle is small, and to top it off, she has a hard time riding on him cause she is very tall and just can't move her legs right when she is on him. As excited as I was to purchase this toy, I will be returning it as soon as I can. We are going to get her something a little more suitable. I would not reccommend this toy, and am kind of disappointed by Fisher Price with this toy. (I am still a huge fan of Fisher Price though!)

We bought this toy for our daughter at 8 months old..she was already cruizing around the furniture and when we brought this home she went to town..she loves pushing it around the floor and into the walls and everything or one else that gets in her way..Now that she is 11 months old and is walking on her own she still loves to push it around..the only thing is it doesn;t always pick up the blocks but she doesn't mind a bit..I love the way she can just push it around and have fun while it keeps her entertained...as for the riding part great on bair floors but for carpet we find it doesn't work as well...It helped our daughter learn to walk early and to me it was wrorth it all the way...great toy for the money

This is a super cute toy and we couldn't wait to get it home and try it out. Unfortunately our whole house has hardwood floors and the blocks don't "pop" into the belly unless you run the toy over them really fast. We took it over to grandma's house and tried it on her carpeted floors and it worked better but the blocks still get stuck. (Fisher Price should've used a harder plastic for the prongs inside the mouth to force the blocks into the belly, the soft rubber just bends.) It also rolls a little too fast for my 10 month old who is just learning how to walk. However his 16 month old cousin absolutely looooves it and runs all over the house sucking up the blocks and anything else that will fit in the hippos mouth.
