Tolo Toys Rolling Ball Shape Sorter

By the time she was 13 months or so, she was easily able to fit the pieces in the various holes. What's nice about this toy is each hole is colored to match with the piece that goes in it, so the round hole is blue as is the circle, the square hole is geen as is the square, etc. This obviously also helps with color recognition.
The only thing my daughter found difficult with this toy, in the beginning, is the fact that the sorter itself is round instead of flat. Since it's a ball, it's harder for the baby to find the hole they're looking for. To encourage her, I would simply turn the ball for her so she would see the hole, then leave it up to her to put the shape in. As she gets older, she can then find the hole by herself. It's a wonderful toy that a baby will be able to use for quite awhile as their skill level grows. We bought this in preference to the Tupperware ball that while definitely a fond memory of mine and my wife's has become incredibly expensive! When the ball arrived it looked great (although the lack of a square is a little puzzling as a fundamental shape) and our little guy loved it. The problem arrived when trying to insert the circle/round piece. One way around it fit just fine; the other, no dice. Taking a closer look we found rough edges on the inside that were snagging against the poorly fitted shape. The seams were raised on one side just enough to prevent it dropping in. This is not the kind of negative reinforcement we wanted in this toy as at 15 months old our son's not getting the "yes that's the right shape, in the right hole but you need to flip it over, jiggle it and then pound it in" message. Such a slacker ;)
Overall, it would have been a great product if the quality control on the line that produced it was up to standard.

My 22-month-old twins love this sorter. I had it out for them as infants and they would enjoy holding the shapes and hearing them rattle. At around 18 months they started to put the shapes in with help. Now they can (and want to) put the shapes in over and over again. I use the toy for matching skills, learning colors and shapes. Really a great buy.Read Best Reviews of Tolo Toys Rolling Ball Shape Sorter Here
ROLLING BALL SHAPE SORTERThis is a colorful, well made toy that worked well with my 14 month old grandson. He did not have the sophistication to match the shapes to the holes (just yet!) but he definitely liked the size of the ball and its enclosed objects. This is a better made product than similar toys we had for his mother.I was very pleased with the quality of this sorter. I did not find any rough edges as another reviewer mentioned. It is very durable, made of a very thick plastic, and very inviting. Not only is it a shape sorter but it is also great for color recognition, making it a bit easier for young toddlers to find where each shape fits. My problem is that it can be a challenge for toddlers to use this independently because of the coordination they need to put the ball back together. You have to match the two halves together and twist it to lock it in place. I got this sorter for my toddler classroom and most of them cannot do this. I was hoping for a sorter that they could use independently and have success without the help of an adult.

This is a very durable little toy that can easily be thrown in to a diaper bag or purse. It's cute & my 9 month old seems to like to chew on it a bit. She's not in love with it, but it does help entertain her during diaper changes.Read Best Reviews of Melissa Doug Mirror Flip-Flap Color Toy Here

Large Elmo soft plush doll

The toy has withstood the contant hugging, pulling and mouthing of our two children for almost one year now and it's needed nothing more than a surface cleaning with a damp cloth. Eyes are a bit heavy and clunky, so if your child accidentally knocks their head against Elmo's face, they will feel the bump...kind of a little too hard, maybe they could have made the eyes stuffed plush instead of hard plastic. Other than that, this toy is wonderful, not educational, just so darned cute and cuddly. No batteries required, no parts to lose, just simple, huggable fun.My daughter is 2 years old and loves elmo. He is as big as her.
She wants to take him everywhere we go. Do I have to put him in a car seat?
Nice toy for your toddler.

I really never write reviews, but I have to about this plush toy. My Niece is 1 year old Elmo/Zoe loving girl who has had many different stuffed toys, but never had or seen a Toy that was her size before. When I first gave it to her, she looked at it a little funny wondering what is this big thing and then she noticed that it was Elmo; she broke out into a big smile. When I sat it in her favorite chair she walked over to it, Hugged it, and proceeded to pull it on to the ground "While still hugging it". When it was on the ground, she put her head on its tummy "Still hugging it" and proceeded to fall asleep. What more appreciation or happiness about a new toy could a child show you. I say this gift is well worth the money and after what my niece did, it has become priceless in my eyes.My daughter loves Elmo and I thought this would be perfect. Elmos eyes are so heavy that he cant sit up straight without flopping over. My 2 year old cant get him to sit up straight without my help and it gets old fast. Something to considerThe head was so large and heavy the thing wouldn't even sit up. When my daughter went to pick him up the head would flop over and she almost got hit in the face with the massive hard plastic eye balls. I thought the whole thing was plush but its not.

Sing 'n Hum Elmo

Now my daughter doesn't much TV, and doesn't even really know who Elmo is, it is the whole concept she loves. This is a toy that has a game that she made up herself, so she just ADORES it. She carries it around everywhere, and cracks up over and over, every time. I love that it teaches cause and effectputting the binky in makes him sing, taking it out makes a funny noise, and also makes him sing different. Then when he says "Elmo wants his binky now please", she knows to give it to him.
The only complaint I have about this toy is that putting the binky in Elmo's mouth is a little difficult for my daughter. She is younger than the manufacturer's recommended age, but my 3 year old sometimes has a tough time of it as well. HOWEVER, this toy is still a ton of great fun, but I just wanted to mention this.
I am definately very very happy with this toy all around, it makes my 13 month old AND 3 year old crack up and giggle on a daily basis. FUN for little ones.I ordered this Elmo for my son who loves pacifers as well as Elmo. It's a cute toy that sings w/o the pacifer and hums when it is in his mouth. The pacifer is held in by a magnet. After the first few times, I had to help put the pacifier in b/c it kept slipping out of Elmo's mouth. It's now at the point where I have to hold it in his mouth for Elmo to hum the song. It's a cute toy but a little disappointed on how easily the pacifier comes out of Elmo's mouth.
My son loves it and doesn't notice. Just a mom thing.Love this baby Elmo. It is adorable and my granddaughter loves it too. It does frustrates her since the pacifier is too hard for her to put it in Elmo's mouth. It is hard for too. The manufacturer should correct this flaw. That is the only problem I have had with this toy; otherwise, we love it.My 3 year old daughter asked for a new "Mo Mo" and we have purchased several in the past. I was looking for one a little different and this one did it. It is so cute when you stick Elmo's passy in his mouth while he is singing. I found it quickly on Amazon without having to drive to a local toy store.....it was here within days and in GREAT condition. I highly recommend this toy for all Elmo fans.I got this for my nephew, I'm going to have to get one for my son too. It is so cute, the songs he sings are adorable. He's nice and soft so he is great to cuddle with.

The World of Beatrix Potter: Nursery Waggie Musical Peter Rabbit by Kids Preferred

It's also very cuddly!
Buy The World of Beatrix Potter: Nursery Waggie Musical Peter Rabbit by Kids Preferred Now
I purchased this as an Easter present for my 15 month-old. It's very soft and well-built. The music is pleasant to the ear, not tinny like some other wind-up musical toys. However, the music doesn't last very long (only about 15 seconds or so) before it needs to be wound up again to play and the movement of the bunny's head is very slow and barely noticeable. That said, my son loves it and it has survived lots of cuddling and being dragged around by the ears quite a bit.We bought this for our first baby and she loved it so much that we bought one for our second baby. However the second one broke, the turn key broke just after a few times of winding it. So we bought another one in hopes that it would bring more joy to our second child, however we had the same issue with the third one! I am so upset because it is such a cute and cozy Peter rabbit and our first daughter loves it so much and I am sorry that our second daughter won't be able to enjoy hers.Want The World of Beatrix Potter: Nursery Waggie Musical Peter Rabbit by Kids Preferred Discount?
Adorable....baby loves the music...but the turn key broke after we wound it up about 15 times. Very disappointed...had tucked this away as Christmas gift.Friday, January 3, 2014

Melissa & Doug Soft ABC Blocks

Cute product, but important to note that it only comes with the letters A, B, and C not the entire alphabet. May have been oversight on my part, but I should have realized the price was too good to be true for 26 letters. Overall, its an entertaining toy for my one year old. These blocks are great for my 8 month old. He has fun with them and they are safe for him to fall on, toss and most important, to put in his mouth, because everything goes in his mouth. These are big, colorful, and soft. It's a perfect gift for a young baby/toddler. I wish more than three came in a package, but aside from that it's a fun and educational toy.Monday, December 30, 2013

Love the Little Ugly Fea Bea. Besides the exquisite neck that culminates in the square face, Fea Bea has piquant pink eyes for that special color contrast. Some might say Fea Bea is oddly shaped but I think she is a towering beauty of an Ugly.Read Best Reviews of Ugly Doll Little Ugly Plush Doll Here
It is quite difficult to choose a birthday party theme sometimes, my eight year old really enjoyed his party, it wasan original theme, plus even though this fellows are called Ugly dolls they are simply adorable, even my teenager guests wanted to take one home!!!Got the Ugly Uppy for my young grandson and he loves it!! I guess it must be the thing to have as his older sister now wants one. I rated the "Fun" level high because the kids seem to love it and it's a constant companion. Not sure how "Educational" Ugly Uppy is but it's loved a lot and appreciated.

Yookidoo Discovery Playhouse

it is a cute toy and there are lots of things to do. but there are a couple of negatives which make me wish we didn't spend the money. first, the ramps for the balls always pop out and they are not simple to get back in. second, although it is fairly easy to fold up, it still takes up A LOT of space when folded at least half the amount of space as the dome when fully assembled. and you can't pop it back into the box at that point, because it won't fit. you have to lean it against a wall and it is always falling over (even when you use the plastic piece they suggest to clip it together).
my 3 and 7 year old kids were more interested in the toy than my 1 year old.
just thought I would provide this alternate view, since all the other reviews seemed so glowing.Santa brought this for my 1 year old for Christmas this past year. We immediately put it together and the thing is CONSTANTLY falling apart. The walls come out from the bottom where they connect to the feet by pressing a cloth covered bar into a slot. The ramps for the ball drop fall off all the time and if they aren't pushed in all the way the ball does not run through the ramps correctly. The keys don't always work to lock the door so the balls fall out when you want them to stay in and they are also very difficult to use. No way a young toddler can handle the task of inserting and turning a key no matter how big it is. Overall, I am very disappointed in this product and am considering trying to see if I can still send it back 4 months later. I would not recommend buying this at all.

My 14 month old twins recieved this for Christmas and it is amazing! They love to play in it together (they both ift inside well) or peek through it and giggle at each other. The balls rattle which they love and there are so many differnet ways to playball rollercoasters and tunnels, spinning toys, mirrorthey are ative and love to chase each other inside and out. I also feel that thsi toy is safe for 12 months or even younger. There are no sharp or small pieces and it is very sturdy. They can use it to pull to stand and cruise itit will slide a little but does not fall or collapse, even with two babies pulling on it. This is an a amazing toy!As another reviewer stated, I want to love this toy so badly, but don't. It is great conceptually, but falls short when it comes to quality and usability. The roller coaster ramps not only fall off easily, they are absolutely impossible to put on. By the time I get one on, three others have popped off. I am not sure that I have ever had all of them attached at the same time. What frustrates me the most is that when my kids try to play with the dome, they never feel successful b/c it falls apart and makes it completely unusable. They move on quickly, now never showing interest in playing with this toy b/c it is so frustrating to them. It really makes me wonder how this product ever made it through a test phase. Not only does it not stand up to play by kids, it can't even be put together in the first place by an adult. Watching the video on the International Playthings website about how to fold it up amazes me. They must have shot that video 50 times before it happened that easily! I really think that this could be an awesome product, but they need some serious work on quality of construction. My kids did enjoy the other aspects of the toy, especially the peek-a-boo aspect of it. However, as another reviewer put it, a regular play tent serves the same purpose and can easily be taken down, rolled up, and easily stored on a small shelf! Sorry International Playthings, but this was a big disappointment!I do a ton of research before buying anything for my 11 month old twins, especially when it costs $100. So many people seemed to love this so I thought I'd give it a try. I thought the quality of the product was poor. The plastic ball shoots are always coming undone and have to be snapped back in. My kids seem to like crawling in and out of it but it is rather small. They can both fit in it now but I don't know for how much longer they would really be able to. Overall, it is definitely not worth the money and I think a carboard playhouse for $25 would have been a better buy.Saturday, September 28, 2013

My boy prefers the tonka truck walker better, it doesn't tip over and he can get rough with it without any worries.

A swedish excellent invention. The way you can adjust the breaks on the wheels so it hardly moves makes it very workable even for a child who hardly can not stand up.
Then you just release the break as the child gets better and better.
Children love this little wagon as they can put toys in it and move around. This trolley turned out to be much more stable than I expected. The handlebar can be setup in two different angles. In the one most forward, which is what we use now, it is almost impossible for my 10 month old to tilt the trolley backwards. The wheels have a break that can be adjusted to give it a bit of resistance so it doesn't run away by itself, which adds to the stability, although it might skid on the surface if you tighten them too much and do not add some extra weight in the trolley. As it is a trolley it can also be used as storage and she likes taking thing in and out of it. Main downside from a fun perspective is that she very quickly runs into a wall and looses interest before I can turn it around. One year old grandson and his parents were all delighted with the Toddler Wobbler. He particularly loves to sit in it, but will learn to push it as he learns to walk.

I bought this for a friend's newborn girl. Her older sister (3 yrs old) is currently taking care of it for now ;) It's a huge hit with her at the very least, and mom thinks it's a super cute toy. I love Happy Horse in general. My only beef is that the seller didn't have a gift receipt option so my friend probably noticed the price.Got this for my infant. It's a very cute dragon, and the fabric is very soft and cuddly while the stuffing is still nicely firm... but after a week or two, one of the wings was practically coming off. I stitched it back on, and the rest of the seams seem okay, but that was a little disappointing.Thursday, July 25, 2013
