Brainy Baby Spanish/English Flashcards

Basically, the title for this review says it all: This is a nice set of cards, but not very durable.

I bought these cards for my 21 month old son. He loves books and other cards with pictures. We are a bilingual household (I speak English; his father speaks Spanish), so I wanted him to have some books and materials in both languages. The other cards that we have (e.g., My Baby Can Read pull-out cards, Eric Carle Animal Flash Cards) are more like pages of board books--quite sturdy. These cards are much thinner, a very thin cardboard.

On the plus side, there are a lot of cards here (36). They have clear, attractive pictures. Some of the cards have the same picture on the front and the back, with English on one side and Spanish on the other. (The Spanish words are phonetically transcribed.) Other cards have a picture on the front (e.g., a basketball) and then a handprint on the back with the color listed (e.g., orange in the case of the basketball). Some cards do the same with numbers--picture on the front and then the number on the back.

My son likes them, but he has already bent quite a few of them. We've only had them about a week.

Just as a final side note: These cards are also very slippery when left on uncarpeted floors. I have ceramic floors, my son tends to scatter the cards around when he's looking at them. The other day, he went running across the floor, stepped on one, and went flying, landing directly on his back. He has stepped on his other cards before, and they haven't slid so quickly that he would wipe out. I need to be much more careful that he doesn't leave them lying on the floor.

Overall, I'd probably give these 3 1/2 stars if I could. They are attractive and educational, and my son likes them. I just wish the quality of the cards was a little higher.

Rainy Day Indoor 3 Piece Combo Kit

(Sorry if you are reading this review more than once. I think it is an important enough warning that I have taken the time to post it in each place where the swing is sold.)

Both of my children loved this swing. My daughter, five years old at the time, would swing rather high on it. One day she swung forward and leaned to the side. The swing came back and she literally split her head open on the door frame. She needed four internal stitches and eight external. It was a miserable 8 hours in the ER.

You may be surprised to hear that my bottom line is I think this product is awesome and worth buying. Swinging is great for kids, but be smart. Put a helmet on your child so if they do lean slightly to the side at the least helmet will take the brunt of it on the way forward or back.

We no longer allow our kids to use the swing just because we were a little traumatized by our earlier experience, but my daughter (now 6.5) takes real flying trapeze lessons (with safety ropes) and swings on our permanently attached doorway bar constantly to "practice", so we are going to allow them to use the trapeze attachment with a helmet, as well as simply swinging from the top bar (no feet allowed up there, though).

I would definitely rate this swing five stars if a helmet were recommended. They do say "no leaning" and we told her to sit straight in the swing, but when you are five and laughing and having a good time, you're not always focused on "sitting straight" so it makes sense to me to tell them to sit straight AND recommend a helmet.

This is the #1 played with toy everyday! Every child should have one! Best investment EVER! We first bought this when my son was 1 and at the time lived in a Condo with no yard and didn't have a play center. This was the perfect solution for bringing an outdoor activity inside! Easy installation, never even screwed anything in, it's just pressure mounted and believe me, my 185 lbs husband hung on it and it can hold him! We have the infant swing, the strap swing, the trapeze bar and the hammock I can swing in it with both my kids ages 2 and 4. Hammock is awesome for little babies, it rocks them to sleep and they are deep enough it cradles them. Love it so much bought another bar for my baby girl and can swing them both at the same time. Now, my 5yr old son swings on it everyday since he was 1. So even though it may seem pricey for a swing ask yourself, how many toys does your children play with the same toy for 4 over years? Probably till he's 9, I would say that's the best investment ever! I love it so much even took it on the plane to grandparents house for the other kiddos cause it snows there and everyone loves it too!

NOTE: They recently (maybe 1-2 years) had a safety upgrade on the infant swing, a simple bar and 2 O rings in front to prevent safety straps from shifting/ sliding which may result in positioning baby sideways also doubles as a toy bar to hang toys from. I wasn't aware of this and they gave me upgrade for free, so careful when buying somewhere else online and not direct from the company make sure you have this safety upgrade if not contact them They are a awesome company, personally spoke with one of the original inventors and he is a family man too and cares and treats his company like family, they were so nice, helpful and eager to please. Awesome product from awesome company.

My children got this for Christmas 2011, and love, love, love this thing. By far it was the best gift we had ever purchased. They were fighting for who got to swing next 2 months after we got it.

That was until the swing rope broke while my daughter was swinging. She fell to the ground hard and got hurt! Fortunately she didn't break anything, but got pretty bruised up.

Another issue I had is there are black stoppers on each side to keep the swing centered where it needs to be at. These are very flimsy, and one of my stoppers has already broke. I really don't understand why the company didn't make this much better.

I rate this product 5 stars for fun, but seeing the high risk of accident, either by them hitting the doorway, or the rope completely breaking, I would stay away from this product!

We bought this for my daughter's 5th birthday and she is completely in love with it. We've also had about a week of rain so it's gotten plenty of use already. She definitely favors the strap swing and she gets almost as much air/height as she does outside. The trapeze bar is really high and though she is 44 inches she can barely reach it so perhaps in another year it will work for her. I'm leaning towards purchasing a small tumbling mat to put underneath when she uses it.

I would definitely recommend supervision if multiple children are playing just to keep anyone from getting hurt but I highly recommend!

My 6yo daughter has ADHD, SPD and a few other issues that calm when she is in motion. Until now she could only get the best calming effect on the play ground. Now she can swing when she starts to feel stressed or overwhelmed. She has had this swing 3 days and just announced it is a "dream come true" I have to agree. I also find my stress levels in the evenings are getting lower :)

I also agree with the mom about the helmet if there is any doubt about a little one leaning to the side as we have had a couple of bumps due to the tight area, she is now wearing her bike helmet to soar and is singing which is music to this tired momma's ears.

My son has been teething since he was 3 months old. With some teething toys he cries after biting them, which tells me they are much too hard for his swollen and sensitive gums. I bought these teethers as I liked that they came with 2, but different Sophie's. The first is for beginning teething...it more hollow, soft and flexible. My son has never cried while chewing this and it is his favorite teether. The second Sophie is for advanced teething. It is harder and less flexible. Love these and prefer them over the Sophie the Giraffe toy which I also own. This just seems easier to grip and munch on, and there is no long leg that can gagg your little one.

Baby Einstein Musical Motion Activity Jumper

I used both the Baby Einstein Musical Motion Activity Jumper and the Fisher Price Rainforest Jumperoo. While both are good jumpers overall I prefer the Fisher Price Rainforest Jumperoo.

Amount of Bounce: This is one of the biggest differences between the two jumpers. The Baby Einstein jumper does not have a lot of bounce, in fact it has less bounce then any other jumper I've tried. The Rainforest Jumperoo has a lot of bounce to it so baby can have lots of fun with it. I think the difference may be due to where the elastic cords are attached and how long they are-on the Baby Einstein Jumper they are attached out to the side and are relatively short whereas on the Fisher Price Jumperoo they are attached up high and are longer.

Durability: The piano on the Baby Einstein Jumper broke within a few weeks. I contacted the company and they sent out a replacement for free but it was still annoying to have to deal with. I have not had any problems with the Fisher Price Rainforest Jumperoo.

Toys: My son loved the piano on the Baby Einstein Jumper but didn't really care for any of the other toys. He enjoyed all of the toys on the Fisher Price Jumperoo especially the spinning bead ball.

Adjustability: The Baby Einstein Jumper has five different height settings whereas the Fisher Price Jumperoo only has three. The height settings start much lower on the Baby Einstein Jumper making it the better option for younger/shorter babies. The highest height setting on the Baby Einstein is significantly shorter than on the Fisher Price Jumperoo. It is much easier to change the setting on the Baby Einstein Jumper than on the Fisher Price Jumperoo. On the Baby Einstein Jumper you just turn the knobs along the support poles and move them up to the next notch. On the Fisher Price Jumperoo you have to unthread and rethread the lines holding the jumperoo in place which is a major pain.

Height/Weight Limits: The Baby Einstein Jumper goes up to 25 pounds and 30 inches. The Fisher Price Jumperoo goes up to 25 pounds and 32 inches.

If you're a parent who bought this and the piano/music box insert is broken, call Kids 2 at 1-800-230-8190 and ask for a replacement. Apparently this part has broken so many times that they don't ask any questions. It is also so common that the part is on backorder, so you will want to call them right away. See the rest of my review for more details, but I wanted to save some unfortunate parent some precious time so I put this at the top.

My 4-month-old loved this from the first moment she sat in it. She could spend an hour in it easily. She especially liked banging on the piano/music box insert. Unfortunately, this was short lived as the piano/music box stopped working after only 2 weeks. We replaced the batteries, but the box never worked again. I did some research online and discovered that other parents had complained about the same problem. They had suggested calling the manufacturer for a replacement, but no one had the number.

After a few calls around, I finally contacted Kids 2 and they offered to ship a replacement out in a month. Six weeks later, I called to check on it and was told that "things are often delayed from China and this is on back order". When I asked how long it would be I was told maybe another 4 to 6 weeks. Thats a total of over three months to get a replacement part from the manufacturer. Thats IF they actually deliver this time. I'm not holding my breath. I won't be buying any Kids 2 products again any time soon.

Without the piano unit, there are really only 2 sections of the exerciser left to entertain the baby. She enjoys chewing on the sunflower, but that section has no other toys, so the other 2 inserts get most of her attention. Thankfully, the bouncer also has loops to attach other toys.

If it weren't for the fact that we could attach other toys, she would have really missed that piano.

In summation, I would have given this product five stars if it weren't for that piano. My daughter loved it. She still likes playing in the Jumper and we use it every day. I took one star away for an obviously defective piece of equipment. I took another star away for the ridiculously long time it is going to take for the replacement to arrive. If you're one of the lucky parents that didn't get a defective music insert, then I'll bet you'll love this product.

UPDATE August 1, 2008

So I got the replacement for the piano insert and, as I thought, it broke about 2 weeks after we received it. I called Baby Einstein customer support (1-800-793-1454 Prompt #5) and they were fantastic. They contacted Kids 2 for me and requested a refund for the full price of the toy. Kids 2 called me and were very apologetic and accommodating. They are sending out a refund check as well as another replacement piano insert. My daughter still loves the toy and uses the piano every day (when it works). I wanted to let you all know that the customer support with Baby Einstein is amazing. If you do get a broken bouncer, you will get great support from the Baby Einstein support staff (Mary and Donna).

I can't say enough about this jumper. We have a VERY active little boy and with this jumper, he met his match. We started him in this at 4 months old. He liked it but didn't do much in it but play with the toys for the first couple of weeks and then all of a sudden, he was bouncing like crazy. He could seriously spend an hour in this while I emptied the dishwasher, fixed his food etc... He's 7 and a half months now and he still loves it. The only negative thing I can say is that I wish I could swap the toys out with new ones (the Evenflow has this option but doesn't bounce like this one) Also, the piano stopped working on this after a couple of months.

Regardless, he loves this more than any other jumper we've purchased (three so far).

My son currently has the Rainforest Jumperoo and he loved it so much I thought I would get him another jumper to keep at his daycare for him.

I really likes the looks and activities that the Baby Einstien jumper ha and since it was a little bit different with activities and sort, I bought one.

I have to say right away, this jumper is extremely tight as far as jumping is concerened. The springs are very stiff and when my son tried to jump, it barely moved. He is 8 months old and quite strong. He got tired of this jumper very quickly and wanted to go back to his Rainforest Jumperoo. And once I put him in his other jumper, he was as happy as a lark! Jumping away like mad.

Now the good point is that it folds up more easily and compact than the Rainforest Jumperoo and it doesnt unfold when tring to move it place to place. Thats a plus!

But as far as the jumping goes, no way! het the Rainforest Jumperoo, that is so much better!!!!!

I already got rid of the Baby Einstien Jumper!! Thumbs down!

I bought this Jumper when my twins were 5 months old. Now they're 7 months old, and they still love it. They'll jump in it for hours!

I haven't had any issues with the keyboard, luckily. The jumper has a ton of attachment points for new toys all around it. It's got a good, solid frame. Definitely worth the money!

Iplay Lobster Tub Caddy

Very cute toy caddy. The kids love it and it holds a nice amount of bath toys. The claws are an added bonus to play with! The only complaint is that the suction is not great. I little double sided tape in the suction cup works just fine to keep the bracket up.

This is a great alternative for the frog & Ladybug options of the same concept... however, the suction pads are poor. They don't stick well... often times sliding down the wall. BUT! BUT! My son LOVES this thing! Every since he was able to be spaciously aware of things he would look for it in the bath, now we use the "claws" for play at 6 months... soon the whole thing will be in the bath & the beach!

Fisher-Price Disney Baby NEMO Nesting Bath Pals Amazing Animals

This is a very cute alternative to just squirties in the bath. My daughter loves having me sprinkle her with the ball character and squirt is pretty big and floats in the bath. Overall, I think this is a nice durable bath toy that my daughter will enjoy playing with for a long time.

Cute product, just a little difficult to get unscrewed. Grandchild enjoys them with her little baths! Love that turtle, so cute.

Got these as a lightning deal and so the price was right. Just be warned, these toys are big. I was expecting small little toys that could fit in a 6 months old hand. I guess I didn't read that part. The turtle is like 8 inches big. So for now, my daughter plays with Nemo and the smaller parts until she is older then I will give her all the toys for her bath. It's cute though!

Haba Jonathan the Rattling Caterpillar

My two month old is very intrigued by this toy. If she's fussy, making the discs clap together will distract her. I can't wait until she is older and can make them clap on her own. I like the quality of the wooden toys, and the finish is awesome. I buy this toy for my friends when they have kids!

My seven-month old and I both love the Rattling Caterpillar! It is adoreable and clearly durable, and my daughter loves to grab it, bite it, and rattle it. I love that this toy is made w/ non-toxic paint. It's very cute and I'm sure will be very durable. The string that holds it all together is elastic...so when you pull on the ring on the bottom, the little pieces click & clack together. The red loop on the top looks like it will be able to stretch and attach to anything (car seat, stroller, etc.) Nothing fancy just a simple, cute toy.

This is a petite toy. Perfect for little hands to grasp and manipulate. The colors are vivid and attention grabbing. My little one likes to gnaw the ring. The loop at the top can be attached to whatever baby is in so it doesn't fall on the floor. The cord is elastic, so pulling on it is also a bit of fun as it gives and takes. Every piece is movable and shaking it will result in a clacking noise that isn't loud, but does let baby know that shaking gets results.

I was expecting a bit more from this toy but it was mistake on my part that I was mixing Elmo Live with the Elmo loves you. The toy is durable but the fibers or whatever is on the toy can come out easily and is not as durable as the rest of toy is.

Great toy for babies under 18 months and they would learn to hug, say thank you etc.

My 1yr old Daughter..LOVES ELMO..so I purchased this one because it seemed like a really cute idea and it will encourage my toddler to be affectionate..Problem is..Elmo Arrives my toddler sees Elmo..Elmo then doesn't work...Find my way around the screws and get elmo open to find a RUSTED compartment...YES RUST! somehow elmo got wet..or was sitting in some damp area..lucky for me new batterys did do the trick but I dont know how long he will hold up..I dont have the energy to send him back its the risk of buying online but just beware amazon doesn't always store their products safe places..

VTech Spin and Learn Color Flashlight

Awful! Loud, chaotic, no real educational value, and worst of all not a flash light! Our baby discovered our flashlight and loves it, but he likes to shine it in his eyes and our real flashlight is too bright for that. We wanted a flashlight with a gentler light and more baby friendly form. This VTech flashlight absolutely did not deliver. First, it is not a flashlight, in that you press a button or switch and the light goes on. Instead, there are 3 numbered buttons and one ladybug button. When you hit any of these these buttons, the light flashes randomly (but does not stay on), and a riot of crazy beeps, chimes, and voices goes off. We had it on the quiet setting and even so, it drove us crazy just testing it. You cannot get the light to go on without the noises. It's also super confusingly designed. You'd think the ladybug, being on the handle and ergonomically where your thumb would be, would turn the light as long as its depressed, but no, it just brings on another seizure-inducing round of flashes and shrill noises. This was an immediate return.

I bought this for my 1 year old's birthday. She loves anything that lights up and plays music. The handle is easy to grip for little hands and the ring that changes the color of the light is easy for little ones to turn. It also has features that teach counting and different animals. It is a very cute idea for a toy that will be played with for a long time. I am sure my oldest will be playing with it too.

This is a great product. It has many different buttons and it is a flashlight? What more could a little kid ask for? I do believe the shipping was some what fast. I would recommend this product. No issues with it so far and it is good quality.

I think this is pretty cool and so do most kids that come in contact with it. My 18mo doesn't seem super impressed by it but I think that has more to do with his personality than it does with the flashlight.

Piro Rattle

Piro is great. A very sturdy toy, and a very cute clown. I'm reassured that it passed German quality control as being nontoxic, because my daughter has diligently chewed on it, and undoubtedly consumed some of the paint.

Have you noticed the recent press about lead in the vinyl that the US testing agents feel is "safe" for our kids? Really? Lead is safe? Oh well, that is why I avoid Chinese and American toys now. European standards are much more strict.

Anyway, a great, bendy little clown. Thumbs up from this dad.

I discovered Haba toys while shopping in our local Natural Grocery store and decided to search online since the selection there was limited.

When I first saw this toy, I thought there may be a potential for pinching to occur as the baby played, but eventually decided to trust that the toy maker knew what they were doing and bought it from one of Amazon's sellers. I have tried to pinch myself with this toy (I know, may seem silly) before giving it to my son and it is almost impossible. What little pinching that may happen is not painful in the slightest. This is due to the toy's construction: it is made from individual beads strung on a cord or rope of some kindingenious!

My son is four and a half months old, and while the toy may be a little difficult for him to grab as of yet(good, IMHO because he gets more practice!), he absolutely loves the bright colors and most of all, the face on the clown. The clicking noise the toy makes as it moves back and forth is also very interesting to my baby and sometimes I even find it soothing to click during "quiet time". I am extremely happy with this toy and feel at ease knowing there is NO plastic on it and the paints are all water based and non toxic. Even though the toy is made from hardwood, he really loves to chew on it (Who needs those soft rubbery teethers??!)

Some may think the price is a bit high, but I do not agree. If you look at comparable toys in your local big-box store, the price difference really isn't that much and you are getting a lot higher quality. This is truly an heirloom toy and worth it.

We were frightened and educated by the recent toy issues. We discovered these toys made by Haba and feel in love with them. We ordered sight unseen 4 different baby toys from Haba and this little guy was the first my 7 month old reached for. He is so darn cuteyou just can't find toys like this at the big baby chain stores.

When he bends the wood makes a soft satisfying clanky sound from the wood. He holds his shape with the tension on 2 bungee style cords you don't see so he can stand up straight on his own. He is also top heavy so when you bend him he will fall over. By watching my daughter I've come to the conclusion he is very nice to munch on, insert here contented coos as he is nibbled on. Happily, he is bigger than I thought he'd be and the perfect handful for baby.

These Haba products are what I would imagine the old fashioned Santa and his elves would have given away. They are extremely well crafted and the simple details have made them instantly cherished by our family.

Ok. At first I regretted how much money I had spent on this toy. I mean it is a teether and it is small. The reason I bought it is because my 6 month old grabbed it and would not let it go. This toy is an award winner. It is also beautiful. I could see it on my son's shelf as he grows older. None of those plastic toys will be as attractive as this one is. Wooden toys are great teethers and this toy is worth the money. My baby like it a lot.

I purchased several Haba toys for my first grandson when he was about 3 months old, after reading the great reviews they received. He's now 11 months old, and still likes to play with this toy it keeps him busy while he's being changed, and is just the right size for his little hands. He's teethed on the little guy's yellow head and red nose, and none of the paint has come off it still looks (almost) new! Am very pleased with this purchase.

Barney Plush Singing 6"

The picture is nothing like the toy. The toy's stitching is so disfigured I felt terrible to have hyped this up so much for my daughter only for it to look so disfigured. It even had a string coming out of his head with a suction cup attached as if it was to go on a car window. BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Haba Wonder Dice

We purchased the Wonder Dice Block set for our son when he was about 5 months old and was finally showing interest in picking things up and playing with them. After 3 months of fairly heavy use, I can say that this was worth every penny. If the bright colors, mirrors, and multiple different types of fabric were not enough to keep him entertained, the fact that most of these blocks also make sounds (jingling, squeaking, etc) certainly would be. Parents will especially appreciate the fact that these blocks are nice and soft, making them less of a problem to worry about when your budding genius discovers that he/she can throw them (into walls, furniture, windows, etc.). As a tip the little fabric "tassle" on the top of the cone is especially good for tickling noses!

Disclaimer: I love non-toxic toys and I love all things Haba in particular. This toy is very cute, soft, and seems like it would be fun to stack. That said, my almost 7 month old has shown zero interest so far. I think the square blocks are too big for her hands to maneuver yet. The only block she likes is the pointy one that she can put easily in her mouth. So I am hopeful that she will grow into the building features of this toy with time, but it might not be the best for super young babies. I still give it good marks as I think it will be a quality, non-toxic toy for a slightly older child.

VTech Sit-to-Stand Learning Walker

This toy was instrumental in helping my son to walk. He pushed this toy all over the house day and night. The toys on it light up and make noises. There's an educational mode and a music mode. My son's favorite part is the phone. He pretends like he's talking to daddy. This toy is very sturdy. My son has pulled himself up on it numerous times and it's never tipped over. I also noticed that it doesn't seem to go too fast. Other walkers I've seen take off and leave the baby to fall on his face. This one is perfect. I recommend it to everyone. My son was walking on his own after 1 month of using this.

This toy is exactly as it says a sit to stand learning walker. It has lots of interactive features and my daughter loves it. The front "face" comes off so she can sit on the floor with it and play....when she is feeling adventurous she pushes it around. It does not have any resistance feature on the wheels (like some other walkers) so she is still learning to push it and control it without falling but I would recommend it and buy it again over other walkers (I have 2 others that don't interest her as much)

UPDATE (2/23): I am upgrading it to 4 stars thanks to one of the comments made to my review. We are currently using it with our second son (11 months) and it works just like new. The play panel still freezes, so we don't really use this feature, hence 4 stars instead of 5.

When I first got this walker for my little one he was 9 months old and just started pulling him self up and walking around the crib. I thought these were signs that he is ready to start walking so I got him this walker. Unfortunately his moves were still very uncoordinated and he kept falling with the walker. At that point the walker was still very unsafe for him so I put it away. I took it out when he was 11 months and to my surprise he did great, no more falling at all. He was able to use it immediately so I believe no walker will work when the baby is not ready yet. I'm giving this walker 3 stars for two reasons. First I think the name is a bit misleading as I don't think this is a good product to learn how to stand up so "Sit-to-Stand Learning" is a bit misleading. I do however think that if a baby learned how to stand up properly this becomes a great walker. The second reason is that the play panel freezes all the time and is very annoying, so we don't even turn it on anymore and use it only as a walker.

This is a nice walker that doesn't go too fast or tip easily. There are several activities with two modes of play that my 10 month old seems to enjoy. Good price as well.

I was a little skeptical to buy this because of all the negative reviews this product had about not being durable and the electronics not working properly. In fact, I was so skeptical that I didn't buy it at first. A few days later, still a little sad that I couldn't find anything else, a friend of mine posted a video of her kiddos (she has twins) playing with the same toy I wasn't buying!! She told me that she loved it, her babies loved it and that it was a durable as it could be so I ordered it. It was extremely easy to put together AND the toy came with its own batteries which I thought was absolutely amazing since nothing ever comes with batteries anymore. The electronics worked great until about 2 months later. It started doing all the crazy things that people were talking about. Luckily I remembered that the batteries were originally provided to me by the company and who knows how old those were so I replaced them and the electronics worked great again. Soooo... to all those people that said that the circuit board was crap, check the batteries first and see if that is the problem.

As for durability, my daughter has rammed it into every single piece of wall, furniture and living thing in our house. It has a 90 degree square base with wheels so it is extremely difficult to tip over. In the 3 months my daughter has had it, she has tipped it over 1 time and learned that when you fall, you have to let go of the handle otherwise it comes down with you.

This toy is fun, flashy and gets used in our house every single day. My daughter loves this thing and it was worth every penny of the $35 dollars I spent on it. If your baby is ready to start walking then this toy is absolutely wonderful but please know that if your baby cannot stand on their own, then they are not ready to be walking with this toy so just get it for them to press the buttons since it can be easily removed until they can stand and walk with it.

There are no stoppers or emergency breaks on the wheels so for those who are worried that their little one will push and it will go forward, you're right, it will and it wont stop. That is what it is made for.

I gave the educational value a four because while there are a million things on it that baby can learn from, they probably are not going to because they will be so busy wanting to push a million other buttons.

UPDATE: We have now had this for 6 months and my daughter still loves it. She figured out how to take the face off to play with it by itself and has thrown it on the ground several times. We do not have carpet so the fact that it is still working tells me that it seems to be put together pretty well.

Sturdiblock Set by Children's Factory

Both my 4 year old and my 1 year old love these blocks...they stack them, climb on them, build with them, jump on them. They seem to be taking the beating quite nicely. Good quality. Take some space to store. But all in all we really like them.

I got these blocks for my nephew a few years ago he was probably about a year old. He and my niece, now 5 and 3 years old, still love playing with them! The blocks are about 4 years old now and still look like new, despite being played with hard! They are such a great hit, I am now buying another set for my son's first birthday. Highly recommend!

My 3 year old likes to stack these and knock them over. He also likes to tell me the different colors of the blocks. These blocks are very durable and can be sat on. They do tend to be a bit hard though, which is bad if your son throws things like mine does.

Hasbro Playskool Let's Play Together Fill 'N Spill Fish

This is a great toy. I got this for my 4 month old, but my 21 month old loves it too! The fish are small for little hands, and they all make a different sound. The little fish are also machine washable, which is great when the little one gets ahold of them in her mouth. I must admit that the big fish often gets filled with many more toys than just the little fish that it came with, but I will certainly buy this for a baby gift for friends!

My 9 month old daughter loves this toy. She finds the crinkle and rattle fish particularly exciting, she even loves gnawing on the big plastic fish. The only thing I think could be improved on is the red fish, it's supposed to squeak, but the squeaker is tiny and hard to manipulate (even for me). She generally tosses that fish aside and plays with the other two.

We bought this as a Christmas present for our 1 year old baby but it turned out her 3 year old sister who really liked them.

The 1 year old does like them, especially the crinkly fish, but her older sister almost never lets her play with them! She has named the blue fish 'Dory', the red fish 'Marlin' and the green fish 'Nemo' and the big fish is "Bruce, the shark". Obviously a Nemo fan, but still it has sparked endless play for her.

These are a great inexpensive toy and extremely durable. And for anyone who is worried about the big fish pinching fingers, then just take it away and let little ones play with the 3 fish. Then when they are older and can open and close without harm then give the big fish to them. My 3 year old has not once pinched her fingers in the past year.

this toy phone is simple in nature but does the trick. the ring is great as a teething toy and the lights and sounds grab my 7 month old daughters interest. It also keeps her from trying to eat mommies phone. Great toy for the price.

This is a pretty simple toy but my 5 month old daughter loves it. She was always trying to reach for my phone, and my phone cover is almost the same color as this toy. She likes to chew on the ring, open and close the phone, and press the buttons. I like that the noises are not too loud (aka not too annoying for me). It also says hello and goodbye in English and Spanish. It is one of the few toys she likes enough to roll over for when she was learning. For the price you can't beat it!

Lullaby and Goodnight by Pockets of Learning

Because of the rave reviews I ordered this book for my daughters 1st Birthday. When I received the book I opened it up before wrapping it because I was so excited! I was very disappointed! First of all the teddy bear is supposed to play lullaby's...When I pushed the tummy it sounded like one of those awful hallmark buttons, you know, the ones that play your favorite anthem, happy birthday, etc. Then it died and made these popping and buzzing noises, and there is no way to replace the battery. It is not something that would soothe a baby or toddler to sleep even if it did work properly. Second, the milk and the soap were bigger than the bear it self, I don't get it? The bear is only 2 maybe 3 inches tall and cheap looking. And third, for a nice interactive bed time story, there is no story really. The pj's are difficult to put on the bear even for an adult. The only plus side is that the book is cute and the quality of the book and accessories (except the bear) were very nice. I sent it back for a refund, for me it was not worth the price.

We got this book at our baby shower. It is a soft cloth book with a zipper to close it and keep peices inside. My daughter is almost two now and she plays with it on occasion. Using a small stuffed bear you go through the bed time routine. Glass of milk, bath, brush teeth, say your prayers, kiss goodnight etc. I really wish the book had a cord to attach all the small pieces to it. We lost the carton of milk and the soap. The toothbrush is attached by a cord but I noticed it fraying. The toothbrush is really the only part of it she uses. Which has been helpful in getting her brush back and forth instead of just chewing.

I really never thought about this toy much until I was browsing amazon for toys and I saw that it cost THIRTY FIVE dollars!! There is no way that it is worth that much money. Buy your kid 6 or 7 board books instead.

I ordered this book for the up-coming birthday of a grandson. It really is cute and an excellent quality. It comes with a small stuffed bear that you can remove from the book. Each page of the book has a different night-time activity for the bear to do such as have a glass of milk, brush his teeth etc. I'm not exactly sure what I was expecting because even though it is a quality toy I'm not sure that Liam will use it enough to make it worth the price I paid. The Pockets of Learning toys all seem to be very high quality if somewhat pricy.
