MOBI Tykelight GloMate

MOBI Tykelight GloMateI've had this nightlight for a few months only, with very gentle use. I use it as a night light in my infant's room, and it provided just the perfect amount of light for feeding, changing, etc. He loved the changing colors, so it was a great distraction during fussy diaper changes without being too bright. I used to leave the unit on the charger during the day, but then I noticed that the plastic was getting discolored from the small "charging" light burning through the day (maybe?). So I kept it off the charger unless it needed to charge. Once the green, fully-charged light shone, I removed it from its base. And then, out of nowhere, it stopped working. I removed it from its base one day and the unit just would not come on. Thankfully it's a fairly inexpensive item, so I don't feel like I was swindled. But I still would not recommend anyone buy this.

love it forever! this is great, i broke the charger for my childs original tykelyte so i had to order another set, which worked out great i have two tykelytes now to charge off and on, its a wonderful nytelyte:)

I had it for 5 months and my kids loved it. After gentle use, it simply stopped working. The charge was still charging, but the light wouldn't turn on anymore. Seek product alternatives. Do not buy from this manufacturer. There is no published customer service on the internet, so my only alternative was to return the light to Amazon for a refund.

Some of the colored lights don't work. Contacted the manufacturer as Amazon suggested. They were going to mail a new one. This was over a month ago. Still waiting...

My daughter received a Mobi Glomate light for her birthday several months ago. We didn't charge it regularly and the battery now holds absolutely no charge. The green charge light turns on when we put the Glomate on the charging dock, but it will not turn on at all when we remove it from the dock. We don't have a receipt since she received the light as a gift. I decided to try calling customer service to see if there was anything they could do. I was quickly on the phone with a real person (I didn't have to spend a lot of time talking to a computer) and was instructed to send them an email with my mailing address and they would send out a replacement. Mobi informed me that they didn't currently have any Glomate replacements, but they could send me an Animalamp instead. The replacement Animalamp was on my doorstep 3 days later. I am very impressed with the fast responses I received from Mobi customer service and the replacement lamp is adorable. My daugher will love it!

Fisher-Price: Little People Playtime Pals

Fisher-Price: Little People Playtime PalsWe are huge fans of Little People in this house. This is another great set that can be played with on it's own or used in conjunction with any other set you have. This one in particular goes with Home Sweet Home house but the fence will attach to any other Little People fences you have.

My daughters 3 and 2 love the fact that his one has a swing so their Little People can play. Thye love the fact that they also have a cubby house to play in.

As with all Little People easy to hold, easy to use, easy to clean and great fun to play with.

Highly Recommended.

Yet another winner, the best yet. It combines my daughter's two favorite activies dress-up and little people. A wonderful toy for fostering the imagination. Durable enough to last through several children. I'm looking forward to my newborn 2nd daughter being able to enjoy playing with the little people and the colors being just as bright as they are now and the movable parts working just as well as brand new. Thanks again fisher-price!!

My 16-month-old daughter loves this toy! This is her second Little People set; she also has the Playground.

She loves to put the little people in their chairs. She especially loves the little baby in the carriage--she pushes her all around.

My only complaint is the little swing. My daughter cannot quite master getting the person into the swing. You have to tilt it just right to set someone in the seat. Sometimes I'm even challenged by it! When she can't get the little person into the swing without it falling over, she gets very frustrated. An older toddler would have an easier time with this feature.

Other than that, we are very happy with it and plan to buy more sets, as they all can be hooked together.

this set is sooo cute. i was planning to get my daughter the bigger little people home sweet home for christmas but she is 2.5 yrs already and i decided she may not get the play out of it so i just got her this little set. we are so happy with it, a little playhouse with doors that open and close, a swing that really works and a little baby stroller that has working wheels. maggie and sonia-lee look so sweet and can sit in their chairs and have tea. everything can be joined together with the help of the fence piece and you can arrange it in different ways. the quality of this toy is very high, bright colors, chubby plastic and lots of detail you can't see in the picture here. this set is the best and cutest ever! you will not be disappointed.

This was my 13 month old daughter's first Little People set. I had friends that raved about it so of course I couldn't allow my daughter to miss out on all the fun. I started with this set because it was inexpensive, if she liked it, I would get more.

So far, So Good. She loves this toy. The pieces are large so it's easy for her to get her tiny fingers around them. They are easy to clean and lots of fun.

My daughter loves to take the people and put them in their chairs or in the swing. She likes to cram everything she can into the house. She has been carrying the set all around the house. I play with her and she could play with these things for hours. I let her take the people and chairs into the bathtub and she loves it. We're going to get the larger house for Christmas. I wish I could give this item 6 stars, she loves it!

Nickelodeon Dora The Explorer Multi-Bin Toy Organizer

Nickelodeon Dora The Explorer Multi-Bin Toy OrganizerI have been looking at this online for the past month, deciding on if i should buy it for my 2 yr old. When i passed it in a store today, I went ahead and got it. Its alot smaller than i thought it would be, but it was the perfect size for my daughter. She could easily reach all of her toys. I didnt expect it to be so colorful when I took it out of the box, so that was a nice surprise. All in all, I think this is a great toy organizer for younger children, maybe toddler age, because of the size.

I bought this toy bin at Walmart for $27 and so far it's worth every penny. Very cute and so easy to put together. My daughter loves it and actually helps clean up her room now!!

We got this for my 2 year old. Her bedroom is upstairs so we made a play area in the dining room. It holds all her toys nicely. And she LOVES Dora. 2 negatives: First is the sides of the bins get a little mangled cause they aren't super sturdy, but not too bad. And second is the bottom drawer. Because we have carpet it does NOT slide easily in and out. I have to pull it out for her.

My daughter loves this toy bin. It's a great place to organize toys and teach kids to put their toys away as the bins are easy to take out and put back in.

A little smaller than you originally expect but it's a great size for a toddler.

Want Nickelodeon Dora The Explorer Multi-Bin Toy Organizer Discount?

It is quite sturdy. The little bins are fabric, but they seem to be made very well. It's very cute and perfect for a little girl that loves Dora! It is also compact so it fits nicely in the little area in our dining room that is her play area. My only complaint is that the large bin underneath is hard to pull out for a little one because it doesn't have a shelf to sit on. It just goes underneath, so it catches on the carpet.

Alex Jr. Jumpin' Jr. First Trampoline

Alex Jr. Jumpin' Jr. First TrampolineI got this for my daughter when she was about one year old. She is almost two now and she still loves it. It's safe, it's the perfect size and it has neutral, unisex colors. I can not express how pleased I am with this product. I highly recommend this to any who are considering it. I promise that you will not be disappointed. Oh, and it is EASY to assemble.

Obviously, a child needs supervision while playing with it. My daughter absolutely loves it. The only problem I have is that the handle bar is covered with foam. Within two minutes my daughter bit a chunk out. It's an easy fix, I just wrapped the foam handle with some athletic tape. It's great fun. Right now the part my daughter loves the most is getting off and on it using the handle bar. Plus it wears her out, so she sleeps good at nap time, and bed time. I love the fact that she is working on her balance while having fun.

Buy Alex Jr. Jumpin' Jr. First Trampoline Now

I purchased this for my 2 year old son. He loves it except when he gets going the back tends to come up. I simply pushed the trampoline up against our couch for stability. I think there either needs to be a redesign with weight in the rear legs or limit this to tiny ones only.

Read Best Reviews of Alex Jr. Jumpin' Jr. First Trampoline Here

This is not very sturdy and is very hard to keep level. You are supposed to have the blue knobs on the legs be perfectly lined up with their angles to keep level and if this gets moved slightly the blue knobs on the bottom can move and then the whole trampoline is not stable for the kids to jump on. And my child simply put her foot on the front under the bar and had a hold of the bar and it tipped over. After one time watching her play with this I would not recommend others to order this at all or from this company! I emailed customer service to tell them the situation and they said I couldnt return product even within the month of ordering the product and with original box. they didnt work with me at all and I am never ordering from this company at all. They said, "you can return product if it not used and in new condition." Well I guess the only way you can return a product to them is by looking at the box and without trying it! LOL. what a joke! save your money and buy from another source like one step ahead.

Want Alex Jr. Jumpin' Jr. First Trampoline Discount?

I bought this for my daughter who is almost 2 1/2. It is really too small and does not have much bounce. I could see how it would be great for a 1 year old but or even a little younger but the amount of use you could get out of it seems limited. Also, I had a pretty hard time putting it together. It probably would have been easier if I had waited for my husband to get home so we could do it together. But my daughter was so excited to have it that I really wanted to assemble it for her. It was such a let-down when I did. She bounced on it a couple times but it did not seem that bouncy. Then she went back to jumping on the couch.

California Costume CHILD Pilgrim Boy Costume

Pilgrim Boy Kids Thanksgiving Harvest CostumeDress was too long and it had to be cut the new seams were better quality than the ones from the factory. But overall the design and colors were gorgeous.

For $13.88, this was a steal. The hat was a bit flimsy, so I glued black card stock to the underside of it-easy fix. The belt was too long, so I used black electrical tape to hold it in place-again, easy fix. By far, my son had the best looking pilgrim costume for his school's program. I bought (girls) white knee socks. I made two buckles for his shoes with card stock and gold spray paint (I traced the belt buckle). My son wears 4/5 in shirts and pants, and the XS was a perfect fit.

This is a great costume. It's well made and it is absolutely adorable. However, I'm not sure what is up with the hat. It is so big it covered my son's face completely. It was even slightly big on my husband who is 6'2. It's floppy and worthless. I ran to Michael's (arts and crafts) and picked up a $2.00 foam black top hat and pulled the buckle off the crummy hat and attached it to the foam one. It was an easy fix but shouldn't have been necessary. Overall, though, this is a fantastic costume. I also ordered another pilgrim costume and it is not nearly as nice as this one. Shipping was fast too. For the most part, very pleased. BTW, my son is a size 8 (very much on the skinny side) and the Large (10 12) fit him perfectly so I would say it runs on the small side. Keep that in mind when ordering. I also bought girl's knee socks (shh... don't tell my son) and shoe covers to complete the look. Just adorable.

Want California Costume CHILD Pilgrim Boy Costume Discount?

Overall a really great value! You couldn't even buy the materials and make it yourself for this price. I'm not sure what the one reviewer was talking about with black dust on her fingers....we didn't have this experience. The sizing runs slightly on the small side. My son is about a perfect size 8 and I ordered the Medium (8-10). It fits him just right, but if he were any bigger it wouldn't. I tweaked the costume a little....For the belt...there is a ton of extra slack. I ended up cutting off several inches of the belt....leaving about 4 inches of slack from the middle buckle. I then used velcro strips so that the slack would attach to the main portion of belt around his waist and look nice and neat. For the hat.....the brim of the hat is very floppy....I stiffened it up by taking my hot-glue gun and attaching some black poster board to the underside of the brim. I bought long white socks from the girls section (just don't tell your son where you bought them!)and we used black dress shoes that I bought from the thrift store for $2. Wah-lah!! Adorable costume....great price!

Fisher-Price Little People Zoo Talkers Animal Sounds Zoo

Fisher-Price Little People Zoo Talkers Animal Sounds ZooAs my son is a huge animal fan, I found myself not able to decide whether to buy him the Fisher Price Little People A to Z Learning Zoo Playset or the Fisher-Price Little People Zoo Talkers Animal Sounds Zoo. Ultimately, he ended up getting the first from us, and the latter from his grandparents, but I thought I would mention some of the pros and cons of each.

Animal Realism: This definitely goes to the Zoo Talkers. While they both look cute, the Learning Zoo animals look far more "cartoony" than those for the Zoo Talkers.

Sound Quality: In my opinion, this is close. I think the Zoo Talkers has slightly richer, better sound, but they are both decent for a child's toy.

Box Accuracy: Tie. The box for the Learning Zoo shows a nice, translucent blue for the waterfall yet actually came as a far cheaper looking solid light blue; the box for the Zoo Talkers shows a zookeeper, polar bear, lion, and monkey yet comes with a gorilla instead of a monkey (which is mentioned on the back of the box, but this is very easily overlooked when purchasing online). They also curiously sell the gorilla separately (hence how we ended up with 2), yet don't even currently offer a monkey.

Expandability: Zoo Talkers wins here, but only because the Learning Zoo already comes with a full compliment of 26 animals. The Zoo Talkers currently allows you to expand the set with the Safari Truck and lion cub, penguin, seal, alligator, bear, dolphin, tiger, rhino, ostrich, elephant, gorilla, orangutan, flamingo, hippo, as well as zebra/leopard/whale bundled each with a book. Naturally this also adds to the cost of the product though.

Price: The Zoo Talkers wins in initial cost, but I doubt many children would be content with only the 4 figures that come with it. Once you factor in the cost of additional animals, the Learning Zoo becomes pretty competitive.

Educational Value: Definitely the Learning Zoo. The Zoo Talkers only does (at this time at least) the name and sound of a few animals, while the Learning Zoo does the name of the animal, the sound, and the first letter of the name for all 26 animals included (one for each letter of the alphabet). In addition, the Learning Zoo also has a button that quizzes on the various animals and sounds.

Quality: Zoo Talkers wins here. Once assembled, it is nice and sturdy with an "ice arch" that doubles as a handle to easily transport the play set. The Learning Zoo has the speaker/main play section attach to the mat, but the other parts are merely attached by clipping them by means of the fence only. This fence is easily disconnected and younger children will require an adult to reattach the parts for them, and any attempt by a child to move the play set will necessitate the reattachment. I wish the Learning Zoo was also more of a "one-piece" construction.

Quality Control: In our case the Learning Zoo wins here. All functions of the Learning Zoo worked upon arrival, whereas one animal for the Zoo Talkers arrived visibly defective and consequently didn't work.

Function: Tie. With the Learning Zoo, if the mat is not completely flat (as is to be expected to happen if used on carpet) an incorrect sound/name may be given when pushing a button. I have found this happens fairly often forcing me to carefully try and spread the mat out. In time the crease from shipping should decrease which may help with this. With the Zoo Talkers the animal has to be pushed down fairly straight in order to get the sound to work which may be difficult for younger hands. I've also had the base give an incorrect response several times (will make the wrong sound or give the wrong name) which I would assume happens if the animal isn't pushed on quite right (I've even had it make the lion cub sound/name and we don't even own that). ***Edit 11/29/11 Now that my son has had this for a few weeks my initial impression of the Learning Zoo was correct in that the mat has indeed flattened so that it now rarely gives an incorrect response when one of the buttons is pushed. My son (he just turned 2) still gets a surprisingly number of incorrect responses when using the Zoo Talkers when he doesn't push the animal down correctly. It is hard to subtract a star for this as I cannot duplicate the errors so it is something that no doubt will not continue once he gets coordinated enough to put the animals on a little better. It is disappointing though as this set is meant for his age range and I find it hard to believe that other toddlers don't suffer the same issues (and shouldn't something have been done about this during quality control testing prior to manufacturing?) Consequently, I now think that the Learning Zoo pulls ahead in this category.***

Fun Factor: For my son this is definitely the Zoo Talkers at the moment. He loves pushing the various animals down the slide, tipping the one platform causing various animals to land on the slide, putting the animals on the platform to hear the sounds, etc. The Zoo Talkers has a good mix of activities to entertain, whereas the Learning Zoo obviously focuses more on the educational aspect which I decided to rate separately.

Overall they are both great products in their own way and I don't regret that my son has both of them as they excel in different ways. I do find the choice of "sounds" that Fisher Price made for some of the animals rather curious though (only the alligator is currently available for the Zoo Talkers so the rest only applies to the Learning Zoo). I can understand using the sound of splashing water for the x-ray fish, but I (incorrectly) assumed that the animal sounds would all be vocalized sounds rather than clopping hooves (for the zebra), and chomping/eating (for the alligator, camel, koala, and giraffe). I am also disappointed that the lion and the tiger sound the same in the Learning Zoo, although they are different for the Zoo Talkers.

I have two little girls, a 7 1/2yr old and a 1 1/2yr old. My older daughter was the first grandchild on both sides and received many gifts as a baby/toddler. I think we owned every Little People toy out at the time. One of her favorites was the Fisher Price A to Z learning zoo, she loved all the different animals and it really helped her learn her letters as well. I was really disappointed when I saw it was discontinued and that this replacement only came with a few animals instead of the 26 that came with the other.

My disappointment ended though when I opened this up. It's extremely cute and filled with fun options (slide, swing, etc), it's a really nice size (my toddler likes to pick up smaller toys and drop/throw them this is big enough that she doesn't try) it also has a built in handle which I like to quickly move it when vacuuming etc.

My only issue with it is that it only comes with a few animals and while you can buy more animals if you check they are currently selling for 1/4 of the price of this set EACH. I hope that the price comes down on the extra animals or they are offered more affordably as a set together. The good news is your little one likely won't know or car either way if they don't have all the extra animals, as I type this my toddler is giving megablocks rides down the slide .

Buy Fisher-Price Little People Zoo Talkers Animal Sounds Zoo Now

My grandson loves his Fisher-Price Little People A to Z Learning Zoo Playset. That set comes with 26 animals and, in addition to "saying" the animal's name and making its sound, that toy gives the letter with which a particular animal's name begins. Naturally, when I saw this Little People Zoo Talkers Animal Sounds Zoo, I immediately thought of his coming birthday and how much he would enjoy this toy.

Like other Fisher-Price products, the Zoo Talkers Animal Sounds Zoo is colorful and well-made. The plastic seams are smooth and pose little chance that a child will be scratched or cut themselves while playing. The animals are cute depictions of the real thing. The jungle environment/scene provides numerous opportunities for imaginative play; I particularly liked this feature. On the downside, the fact that the animals only make sounds adds little to the educational value of this product. Additionally, since little ones are likely to become enamoured of the one animal sound you find most annoying, you may live to regret your purchase!

I found the cost to purchase the add-ons which would "complete" this toy offputting. If one goes to the Fisher-Price website, the 8 figures and the three figure/book combinations offered total $43.99, including shipping. Tax is also charged. The Safari Truck, which Amazon offers, is more expensive at the Fisher-Price site since they charge shipping and tax.

This may appeal to the lower end of and to less mature children at the upper end of the recommended age range. However, I felt it had less educational value than the Learning Zoo and was less appealing overall. Further, the additional monies to "complete" the set and not something I feel is welcomed by parents and grandparents. It is for these reasons that I gave this product only four stars.

Read Best Reviews of Fisher-Price Little People Zoo Talkers Animal Sounds Zoo Here

If you buy this toy, just be aware that there will be no monkey at the zoo. The picture on the box shows a monkey swinging from a tree but it will not be inside your box. This was unfortunate for me because I wanted it as a Christmas present for my monkey-loving 18 month old granddaughter. Good thing I read other reviews and found out about this little snafu before Christmas morning!

Fisher Price substituted a gorilla in its place. I wrote to the company and their response was that Yes, there is no monkey.

The company sells single, 'additional' animals to add to your zoo, since it only comes with three. Among these extra animals you can purchase is a gorilla. Why are they selling gorillas separately when one already comes with the zoo?

It is all very confusing and I have an ethical issue with the company's willingness to deceive buyers. I am busy looking for another play zoo that really does come with a monkey.

Want Fisher-Price Little People Zoo Talkers Animal Sounds Zoo Discount?

This set is first off much bigger than I expected from the box, but then not too big its obnoxious. It is about two feet by two feet and has a nice carrying handle to take it room to room or easily turn it around to play with it on the flip side. Once I opened the box I was worried it was going to be a project to put together but it pretty much all snaps together except for three screws. I had it together in about ten minutes, and I did have to install three batteries, which were not included.

The Little People Zoo Talkers Animal Sounds Zoo is for ages 1 ½ to 5 years old, and my 3 and 4-year-old sons love it. There is so much to do, both front and back that my boys didn't feel crowded with both of them playing. The set makes so many different noises, not including the music or speech about the animals. There are squeaks, twist noises, clicks and more. My boys are just so excited each time they play with it to make as much noise as they can! There is a slide, swing, twisting leaf, peek-a-boo door and little spots to put the animals.

The only thing I was disappointed with was that the set only comes with three animals and a zookeeper. It is enough for two-three kids to play with but I would like to have more animals. Luckily, there is a total of nine other animals you can purchase to play with in the set that I am sure I will be adding to ours.

Overall, the playset is very colorful, bright and is a great size. I was impressed with all the sounds and interactions you can make and my boys love it. They played with it for a good hour right when we set it up and then played with it again a few more times throughout the day and since then. They even found other random animals and figurines to play with and even put their cars on the waterslide! As far as educational aspects go, I like that my boys can see how the different animals live (North and South Poles, Jungle, and Water regions. I would recommend this playset for any child and it will definitely grow with your child as it is fun for all ages!

Imaginarium Stacking Rings

Imaginarium Stacking RingsI bought this for my son for Christmas. He was 11 months old at the time. Just this morning i noticed he had the red ring COMPLETELY in his mouth! If this company is selling a product for babies, ALL pieces should be too large to fit in a childs mouth. I will continue to let him play with the remaining rings, but the red one has been put away for good.

BEWARE.

Sing 'n Hum Elmo

Sing 'n Hum ElmoThis was given as a gift to my 13 month old for her 1st birthday. She ABSOLUTELY LOVES it! She started a game with my husband and I a few months ago where she would take the binky out of her mouth, try to stick it in ours, and (after trying to stop her LOL), if she did get it in our mouths, we would make a funny "pop" noise when she ripped it out. This Elmo basically does just that. You take Elmo's binky, and put it in his mouth. He makes a noise like "slurp" and starts humming a song. You can't hear the words because the binky is in his mouth! Then, if you take the binky out of his mouth it makes like a "pop" sound and he sings the same song with words this time. He sings the song without his binky twice, then asks for his binky back.

Now my daughter doesn't much TV, and doesn't even really know who Elmo is, it is the whole concept she loves. This is a toy that has a game that she made up herself, so she just ADORES it. She carries it around everywhere, and cracks up over and over, every time. I love that it teaches cause and effectputting the binky in makes him sing, taking it out makes a funny noise, and also makes him sing different. Then when he says "Elmo wants his binky now please", she knows to give it to him.

The only complaint I have about this toy is that putting the binky in Elmo's mouth is a little difficult for my daughter. She is younger than the manufacturer's recommended age, but my 3 year old sometimes has a tough time of it as well. HOWEVER, this toy is still a ton of great fun, but I just wanted to mention this.

I am definately very very happy with this toy all around, it makes my 13 month old AND 3 year old crack up and giggle on a daily basis. FUN for little ones.

I ordered this Elmo for my son who loves pacifers as well as Elmo. It's a cute toy that sings w/o the pacifer and hums when it is in his mouth. The pacifer is held in by a magnet. After the first few times, I had to help put the pacifier in b/c it kept slipping out of Elmo's mouth. It's now at the point where I have to hold it in his mouth for Elmo to hum the song. It's a cute toy but a little disappointed on how easily the pacifier comes out of Elmo's mouth.

My son loves it and doesn't notice. Just a mom thing.

Love this baby Elmo. It is adorable and my granddaughter loves it too. It does frustrates her since the pacifier is too hard for her to put it in Elmo's mouth. It is hard for too. The manufacturer should correct this flaw. That is the only problem I have had with this toy; otherwise, we love it.

My 3 year old daughter asked for a new "Mo Mo" and we have purchased several in the past. I was looking for one a little different and this one did it. It is so cute when you stick Elmo's passy in his mouth while he is singing. I found it quickly on Amazon without having to drive to a local toy store.....it was here within days and in GREAT condition. I highly recommend this toy for all Elmo fans.

Little Tikes Endless Adventures Swing Along Castle

Little Tikes Endless Adventures Swing Along CastleI was excited to see a swing and slide combo because my son loves both. I purchased this thinking that it would be a perfect starter set for my 21 month old. The swing is so low to the ground that my sons feet hit the ground when he swings, which stops him from swinging. He does love the slide and the fact that he can climb into the swing alone, but it really defeats the purpose. And for his age my son is short. I would not recommend this playset for anyone with an average size toddler, buy something a little bigger for them to grow into. We are sending it back:(

This is a good idea, as anyone who has a child that has outgrown their baby swing and misses it. However, this product is much smaller than the age range indicates (it says 1-4 years). A more appropriate age would be 6 or 9 months to 18 months. Let me explain, my 8 month old fits the swing perfectly right now, but there are only a few inches from his feet to the floor and his head is at the top of the swing. When standing, the side is at chest height on him. My son is very tall for his age (about 32 in), but I cannot see this fitting even an "average sized" four year old as it is marketed. Also the entire structure moves when the swing is being used. My son only weighs 22 lbs, I can't imagine what would happen if you put a 4 year old on this (provided you scrunched them into the swing in the first place). Don't get me wrong, my son LOVES this...unfortunately it will only be in the toy rotation for the next three or four months tops.

I purchased the above item for my granddaughter's 1st birthday in February. She is now 16 months old. Sadly, she looks to

big for this item and she is small for her age. This will never be age appropriate to 4 YEARS OLD. She will only be able to play

on it this summer. VERY MISLEADING INFORMATION. I would not recomend this product!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a great small climber! It is small enough to easily fit into a decent sized bedroom/ playroom, but still big enough to befun to climb and play on for little ones. The age rec on this was 1-4, but i'd say its more appropriate for about 15mos to 2.5yrs. Any older and the child might be amused for a day, but it is just not challenging enough or big enough. The swings sits very low and the slide is pretty short.that makes them great for learning to use them and entertaining toddlers, but preschool age kids would probably not have as much interest. My son is not crazy about using the swing for himself, but he puts his bear in it and pushes it. Also, as many other commenters said, the climb up to the platform is fine for a child who's been walking/climbing for a few months, but since there is minimal traction, it might be a bit too hard for very early climbers. Still, some challenge is good for the child to develop climbing and coordination skills. The telescope and wheel are especially fun for my son and his friends who've been over. They seem to get a Big kick out of aiming the scope around to look at each other though it, and spinning the wheel seems to be fun for imaginitive play as if they are driving. It is also very sturdy, and was incredibly easy to assemble. It took me less than 10 minutes to get it set up in my son's room, even without needing directions. I would say go for this if your kids are very young, but otherwise they'll outgrow it too soon.

We received this for Christmas as a gift from the Grandparents. Its small and was intended to stay in our basement for winter play. Its a very sturdy item, and was really quick and easy to set up.

However, the swing handles are straight metal bars, with not much of a backward motion. My 14 month old daughter hates being in the swing currently. But I suspect it will break easily on the backward motion of the swing, if or when she wants to actually go in.

Also, there aren't stairs to climb on the back to get down the slide. Its a sort of "rock climbing wall" back there to get onto the slide platform. She hasn't been able to climb it yet, as she slides off the "rocks", unless she has on a rubber soled shoe. Since this is indoors currently, she often is in socks or a leather soled slipper shoe. Not enough traction to climb up onto the platform to get down the slide.

Its good in theory, but I wouldn't recommend it as it is.

Playskool Weebles Tree House

Playskool Weebles Tree HouseThis toy is great! There are so many different things for my daughter to do with it: send Weebles down a slide or chute, put them in a swing, rocking chair, or ferris wheel, stand a flag or megaphone into one of three different holes (which definitely challenges my 17-months old's fine motor skills, but is doable!), and more! She will play with it in her play pen for 30 minutes or more with no complaints.

My only disappointment with this toy was the music that plays each time the ferris wheel is turned (I felt it played a little too long, loud, and often--even though it is cute!). My husband solved that by unscrewing the bottom and cutting one of the wires that runs to it. Now the music just plays when the flower button on the front is pushed, and I consider it a practically perfect toy, and look forward to collecting more Weebles in the future!

This was a present for my one year old's birthday. We already own the webbleville town from last year and several webbles and their vehicles. By far the tree house is the best toy from this line. I remember my webble tree house from the 70's. That is what drew me to this toy. Well, my one, two, and four year old love this toy. This is perfect for a one year old. There are a lot of places for the baby to put the weebles. A sliding board, a secret shute that empties the weebles out a door, a ferris wheel, and a hide away in the top of the tree house. This is perfect and really does keep the baby entertained for twenty to thirty minutes. That is awesome considering most toys last maybe a few minutes. Buy this toy for your one year old they will love it.

My 2-year-old daughter LOVES her Webble Treehouse! We think it's pretty neat, too. I like that it came with 3 characters she has one in each hand, and there's one left for Mom or Dad to play with.

I agree that it's too loud. My solution blue tape over the speaker (just inside the doorway). I've used blue tape [painter's tape] over many of our kids' toys that were too loud and didn't have a volume button. It works great!

I would highly recommend this toy to a friend.

We bought this for our 1 year old, she absolutely loves it. It keeps her busy we also bought the Weebles camper and these are the only toys that keeps her attention span longer than 10 minutes.

We have some of the other Weeble toys for my 2 year old daughter, but this one is the cutest and the most fun. The musical sounds it makes are very much like the Mario Bros. games of yester year. It has a fun slide, a ferris wheel and some nice durable accessories. My kid loves this thing. I fear to say she enjoys it even more than Little People. The only down fall is there is no off button that I can find or volume switch for the music. Again, I think there MAY be one, but we can't find it as of yet.

Munchkin Star Fountain

Munchkin Star Fountain, Colors May VaryI have been through 3 of the Munchkin Star Fountain. I bought the first at Target. After a couple of uses the on/off switch would not stay depressed. After finally getting it to depress, it stuck in the on position indefinitely. I then exchanged it at Target for my second Munchkin Star Fountain, only for the second product to do have the exact same issue within the first use. I contacted Munchkin and they stated not having any issue with the on/off switch and offering to replace the product. The CSR explained to me that any further issue they would only give me a coupon for another product, not a full refund. While I have not purchased this on amazon.com, I am making a point to inform all consumers until CPSC has placed this product on a safety list. Do NOT buy this product here or anywhere. 3 for 3 had the same issue and Munchkin is aware and continues to sell the product.

I bought this for my 13 month old son who loves the water the fountain has some great height to it so I recommend that it be for outside. The first one I bought the on/off switch didn't work so I took it back and exchanged it. Got the second one and it worked for the first 30 minutes or so then the on/off switch wouldn't work and the batteries ended up just running out. Don't waste your money on this

I bought this for a friend's daughter before reading any reviews. I put in the batteries and it didn't work. Then I read reviews about it not working in a lot of cases. Upon further inspection I noticed that the reason the toy didn't work was because of the plastic parts that are in the battery cavity. The bottom battery slot was fine, but the 2 slots on the top have plastic to keep the batteries locked in place. If you look closely, you will see that the plastic is too thick and it is preventing the positive terminal of the battery from making contact to the tab. I simply used a small flathead screwdriver to crack the plastic away from the terminal on either end. I put the batteries back in and boom, the thing works.

Cool toy, bad design. If you don't mind taking the time to "fix" it, they toy is great.

Not only was it ridiculous to get the backing off with a screwdriver (the screws acted stripped), but the fountain wouldn't even work! What a rip off -great idea that I hope they get to work, but needs improvement!

Alphabet Blocks

Alphabet BlocksMy husband and I bought these blocks as extras for the Incrediblock we'd purchased for our then nine-month-old son. While my son wasn't (and still isn't) wowed by the Incrediblock (you can see my review on that page), he does enjoy playing with the Alphabet Blocks.

I like the fact that each block has a big capital letter, and inside, something that starts with that letter; for example, the "D" block has a dog. We'll be able to use these blocks for a long time because of that; I can imagine spending time with my son and teaching him that "C" is for cat -and he'll be able to see both to make that association.

My son, on the other hand, couldn't care less at this point about the letters of the alphabet (he'll soon be one year old), but he does enjoy stacking and knocking over the blocks, banging them together, and especially shaking the ones that make noise. One of his favorites is the "I" block, which has an ice cream sundae inside with lots of sprinkles that rattle merrily when he shakes it.

All in all, this is a good, affordable, durable, educational and fun set of blocks. My family continues to be very pleased with them.

I really love all the Fisher Price Peek a Blocks---I saw them long before I knew we'd have a surprise #3 baby and I would actually have an excuse to buy them! Now we own pretty much all the sets. I would have to say this set, although big, is one of the weaker ones. The letters on the sides sometimes block seeing what's inside too well, and the toys inside are not as interactive or interesting as is the case with some of these blocks---for example, a horse that just sits there, a zylophone that doesn't move much, an apple that turns. I like their blocks with tiny things to shake inside or the like---the kind of things babies can't generally play with as they are too small, but that are made safe by being enclosed! Also, having ABCs is most just a way to have a set here I think---unless you are very into early learning, I don't think most babies are really ready to associate the letters with the toys inside (I know SOME babies are, but not that many, and not mine!) However, all this said, I still would say to buy this set, if you know you like this kind of block---It's great to add 26 more in one fell swoop!

Buy Alphabet Blocks Now

I bought these blocks for my daughter when she was 9 months old and she really only enjoys them now. She is 14 months now and is starting to recognize some of the objects inside when I ask her to get them. But be warned bc they're not great for the real younger babies since there are only a few of them that really do anything like beep or rattle. Most of them just have a stationary object that may jiggle a bit. The ones that you can twist yourself are not child-friendly. She can't turn the knob at all so she gets frustrated. My 3 yr old can just do it. He likes them too bc they incorporate the alphabet. Another thing is that the printed letters block some of the objects so it's harder to see inside. I would more so recommend a diff set for a younger baby (6 mos)like the sound sensations and these for an older child (1 yr). Although you can't beat the price for 26 of these blocks! I also just recently got the Roll-A-Rounds by fisher price as a gift. It's the same concept but a ball vs block. She likes them ALOT!

After "eyeing" this toy for several months and being hesitant to buy it because of the cost, we finally broke bown and purchased it when our daughter was 15 months old. We're very glad we did!

Our daughter loves shaking the blocks, banging them together and knocking over the blocks after we stack them up for her. She really likes putting them all into a plastic bin and then taking them all out again! The letter written on each block is meaningless to her right now, but that time will come.

We plan to keep these blocks for a few years. As our daughter approaches school age, the blocks will be a great tool to help teach and reinforce letter-sound association. We believe she may never be too old to benefit from her Peek-A-Boo blocks. We know we're not!

Consider donating your set to a local library or school when you're done with them.

This set incorporates a lot of the favorites from other sets packaged in an A to Z learning format. I have been leary of purchasing too many of these blocks for storage reasons so the zippered case is a great bonus. Definitely worth every penny.

Little Tikes Gas 'n Go Mower

Little Tikes Gas 'n Go MowerMy son is going to be 5 and we did the annual Birthday Club trip to Toys R Us this evening.

He has a lot of toys, and really doesn't need anymore, but we go to TRU because it's so fun watching him on his birthday with the hat and balloon walking around the store for the perfect birthday toy.

He and his dad got separated from me in the store, so as I was walking around looking for something that may catch his fancy, I glanced over and spotted this mower up on the shelf. It was the last one on the shelf. I also noticed it was on sale for $19.99 plus the $3 off card for his birthday. Not too bad of a price. So I was looking at it in the box, saw it had a pull cord, and a gas can. Two things he WISHED his other Little Tikes lawn mower and the FP Bubble mower had. I saw the box said 18 mos + I was wondering how small the handle would be, but I put it in the cart anyway.

When I finally found them in the store, my son saw it in the cart and that was it, he thought it was the coolest toy lawn mower he has ever seen!! He could not wait to get it home and open it.

He absolutely loves it! He loves the realistic pull cord with engine sounds and gas can. He is "mowing" my carpet. In the house, it's kind of loud, with the popping sound and wheel sounds. He's a tall boy for his age, but it's not too short of a handle for him. And even if he had to slouch down a little bit, I don't think he would care one bit. He loves any toy that is lawn care or motorized related. So this is as realistic as it gets as far as toy mowers. Best of all, NO BATTERIES!!

I bought this mower for my 19 month old son. He actually loves it, and I really like the way it looks. However.... there is not enough clearance from wheels to underside of mower to actually be able to push it on the grass!! My toddler tried and tried and tried to push it on our back yard lawn and it just gets stuck, gets stuck, gets stuck. He kept asking me for help. So then I tried and EVEN I could not make it go on the grass. A great toy if you plan to use it indoors on hard surfaces or carpet. NOT a good toy for grass. DUHHHHH. It's a lawnmower!

I purchased and returned this toy all in one day! My grandson was so excited when he saw the mower and the little gas can then he tried to mow the grass! It would not move. He tried several times only to get angry and toss it! It works great on the hardwood floor, but it is a LAWN MOWER not a vacuum!

My 15 month old granddaughter LOVES this mower. The "pull start" rope is easy to pull, slips back into the mower by itself and creates the most wonderful motor noises sounds like a real motor. I don't think she understands what the gas can is for, but she imitates "pouring the gas in" just like her dad's. She drags the mower wherever she wants, indoors and out. I'm not sure if her grass is lower or thinner than the other reviewer's, but she has no problem pulling it around. (She doesn't push much yet)

This probably would be fine for outdoor use, but indoors it is almost intolerably loud. It's sturdy and my 2 year old enjoys it well enough, but be sure you have an incredibly high noise tolerance if you purchase this for your child. We can't use indoors at all on account of the noise.

Magic Rattle 'n Ride Pooh

Magic Rattle 'n Ride PoohSanta brought this to our 8 month old for Christmas this year and she absolutely loves it. And true to form our older kiddos (2 1/2 & 7) love it too and will play with it long after the baby's gone to bed! What is it about baby toys?! I was concerned, however, about the rattle that comes with it for two reasons: 1. Will shaking it really make Pooh go again? Yep, it really does. 2. What happens if we loose the rattle? Not to worry, Pooh has a button in his foot that makes him go again too.

This was a fun toy for my son to play with, the rattle is not needed to make noise to make the turtle move, my son would just clap his hands. This toy encouraged hand and eye coordination.

Buy Magic Rattle 'n Ride Pooh Now

I purchased this toy for my friend's one year old son. It quickly became his favorite toy. Pooh is adorable, and the toy holds the interest of the child. The toy is affordable, durable, and entertaining. Even though he is only one year old, my friend's son was still fascinated with Pooh riding around on his turtle.

My 1 year old loves this toy! Pooh sings and turtle moves. I thought it would go faster and it does not go on carpet. Otherwise its a good interactive toy. She learned really fast that she had to shake the rattle to make him go which is a good learning experience. When you do not use it for a little while pooh says goodbye you have to press his foot to activate him again then you can shake the rattle. Overall its a great toy, very Cute!!!

It's a good idea to make a sound-controlled toy. But it's not so perfect. It's noisy for young babies and the surface of the toy is not so soft.

Swimways 11604 Baby Spring Float Assortment

Swimways 11604 Baby Spring Float AssortmentMy son loves it. It is so much better than the previous pool float we had. He is able to splash in the water through the mesh without having to lean over.

Holding my 10 month old in the water was getting so exhausting as she is so active and loves the water. I purchased this float to give her a little more independence in the water. She loves it and it gives us a break. I love that it is mesh in between the outside float and where she sits. She can splash and blow bubbles in the water. The only thing is that when she gets really excited reaches towards something she wants she can almost push herself out of it. I would definitely recommend it!

Phil & Ted's Snuggle & Snooze Sleeping Bag - Foot Muff

Phil and Teds Snuggle and Snooze Sleeping Bag In Charcoal/BlackFits into the P&T stroller perfectly and is generously sized without being too bulky etc. Our boy is only 6-months old now but I can foresee it being good until he grows out of the stroller. We just leave it in the stroller all the time at the moment, but it's very quick and easy to put in and take out if needs be just need to feed the harness through the gaps.

SO super cosy and warm we don't always even need a coat/snowsuit for my son when he's snuggied up in his P&T sleeping bag. Just popping his hat on and zipping him in seems to be more than warm enough for short walks, even in the wintery cold of Vermont. J positively beams when we zip him into it he thinks it's great fun and loves to snuggle into the soft and cosy fleecey lining. The whole thing can be done up so there's only a little 'peep hole' at the top, or it easily loosens off and unzips if things heat up too much.

I did have a slight concern at first about the length of loose cords when we tighten the hood round J's face but they tuck behind safely out of the way.

In a nutshell it is very convenient to use, keeps my boy lovely and warm, definitely reduces the need to battle with snow suits on short outings (tho I'd still bundle up additionally if we're going to be out longer or if it's particularly windy). My only uncertainty is that I haven't tried washing it yet...

Ok, I'll be honestI was a little sketched out about this when it came. It is called a sleeping bag, but I didn't understand how the kiddo wouldn't end up wrapped up face down in it and not be able to breathe. (our little guy is 11 monthwe just finished a 3 location camping trip up PCH in Cali)

The first night I didn't use it, I just bundled him up in extra layers and he ended up snuggled up with us anyhow.

The second night hubby told me I was "using the freakin' sleeping bag"it's not cheap, so it's gettin' used. Ok, ok.....

I waited till he was pretty sleepy and laid him in itzipped it up then put him in his pack n play.

Our kiddo's usual move is to immediately flip onto his chest with his booty in the air, but he for whatever reason, stayed on his back. I checked on him incessantly, because I'm nuts, but he stayed on his back and slept GREAT, best night of sleep in a WHILE.

I look forward to our next trips and know this will be a great sleeping bag for the upcoming fall/winter outtings especially since we can use it IN his stroller when we go to Mammoth! bonus!!

Fellow moms:

I had already one Phil and Ted sleeping sac (with my P&T stroller) and liked it. It's a bit short for my older child, so I was thinking of getting one of the other sleeping sacs out there... so I went to the store and compared my P&T with (a) Brookspond Perennial Buggy Blanket (toddler size) and (b) JJ Cole Urban (also toddler size of course).

What I found: these 'toddler size' buntings seem to come in the same length anyway, so there's no real advantage of one over the other in terms of overall length. The JJ Cole Urban and the Bookspond have more features to adjust to different strollers, but obviously the P&T bunting fits perfect into a P&T stroller. The JJ Cole seems lighther (less warm I suppose) than the P&T, and the downsides of the Brookspond I thought were that it's less 'cozy'/feels more rigid. The Brookspond's feature of having an insert for boots seems like a good idea, on the one hand, but that part of the bunting is not insulated, so I'm thinking that toddler, maybe, will start feeling cold on the feet. (Currently I just have my older one take off her dirty shoes when sitting in the P&T sac.)

I agree with mom from Vermont that this bunting is indeed really warm (we live in Boston). My older one has never complained about not feeling warm enough after being bundled up in the sac. The opposite: she seems really pleased and happy with it.

Gist of it: I just bought another P&T sleeping sac for my second child because of the good experiences I've had and because other products on the market didn't seem any better (for my purposes).

Kelly Green Basic Ballet Tutu 3 Layers High Quality Fits Babys to Kids About 10 Years Old goes grea

Kelly Green Basic Ballet Tutu 3 Layers High Quality Fits Babys to Kids About 10 Years Old goes great with leotards for dance or balletAs you can see from the title, I ordered tutus. The quality of the tutus that I ordered from Sydney so Sweet was excellent. Both the green and the red tutus were in the vibrant colors that I had hoped for. The craftmanship was excellent. I sew upon occasion and could not have done a better job had I tried. After the original package went amiss somehow, I was contacted by the company right away. We both tried to find out what happened to the original package to no avail. After we concluded that this would remain a mystery, my order was received the very next day. Additional items were included as a way of insuring that I was compensated for any inconvenience. I greatly appreciate both the concern and service that I received and will order from this company again in the future.

I was not expecting much based on the price. Was really surprised it is soft and fluffy and my daughter wore it for her school holiday colors party. My daughter loves tutus i will buy from these guys again. Good tutu great price.
