Razbaby RaZberry Teether

I absolutely love the idea of this teether which is why I bought it. Unfortunately, the raspberry part (which seemed like it was just glued) came apart from the rest of the binky which posed a huge chocking hazard. This scared me since I usually leave teethers in my child's crib where I am not constantly supervising. I would not recommend this product. I feel a lot more confident in the teether binky from "Soothie" that is all one piece. It's unfortunate because it looks like it would be a fantastic product if only it was constructed safer...

Firstly, let me just say that I am very glad that I ignored the "most helpful" review saying that it would come apart. I completely feared this because my baby seems to eat everything he can get his hands on, and he's only about 5 months! Well, I received the product and I couldn't be happier with the concept. It is a soft silicone material, comparable to other teething toys on the market, and my baby took to it instantly. The bonus: it is shaped like a pacifier, so babies can suck on it and it fits comfortably in their mouths. I can't say enough good things about this product.

Now about it coming apart, the green and red and green and blue teether's are two parts brought together, however the pink and the light blue teethers are one peice (i.e. there is no way it will come apart!!). I completely recommend the light blue, considering that is the one I bought for my baby boy. It is a very nice color, just as shown in the picture, and it is only about fifty cents more than the original "raZ-berry teether".

So, if you really want the contrast in colors, you can take the risk with one of the dual-color raz-berry teethers; Many people have been more than happy with the those and never had a problem with it coming apart. But personally, I would recommend the one-color ones; They are just as cute and you won't have to worry about the possibility that it will come apart. Enjoy!

I ordered this item from a different site and I was excited when it arrived but that was short lived. When I open the package I realized the teether was poorly made. I could see a seam where the handle part of the teether was attached to the base. I could see the silicone type glue that was used to attach the two pieces together. With a little bit of pulling I was able to separate the two pieces. This was immediately thrown away. I was glad I never gave this to my child. If he pulled it off he could have choked.

**I am adding an edit to this review. The teether that I was reviewing was the one with either the red bulb or the blue bulb. Reading other reviews it appears as the light blue one and the pink one are one solid piece. Since I do not have the solid one I can not verify that information 100%.

**Edit once again. I have ordered the all blue teether and I can confirm it is all one piece. While my son doesn't really care for the teether I think it is made well and I am sure other kids would enjoy it.

My fourth month old little girl has been teething for some time already, and we have tried many teethers. But this by far is the best. It is so easy for her to put in her mouth without getting fustrated. The berry part is the perfect size and shape for her mouth. My daughter does not use any kinds of pacifers but this teether she loves. I will be giving it as gifts to all the news moms I know.

My son absolutely loved this but my mom and I had the scariest experience ever. Do not let your child use this unless you are watching them constantly. We both took our eyes away from him for just a second and he turned the binky around and started sucking on the handle. The handle is soft and with my son sucking it, it lodged in his throat. The thing was almost completely in his mouth! It took two of us to get that thing out. I contacted them and they said they would send an envelope so that we could send it back to get tested however they never sent it. To make matters worse, somehow he found another one (we bought a few of them) and it almost happened a second time. If you care for your child safety, DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT!!!!!!!

Quercetti Pop-Link Shapes

I looked at several brands of pop beads before finding these. We are extremely pleased with this purchase.

Pros:

The brand is a quality brand. We have several other toys from this company and haven't been disappointed with any of them.

There are simple shapes and more interesting shapes (moon, star, sun). There are two of each color.

You can make patterns with the beads

They pop together easily. Some other brands are too difficult for young children to pop together and apart.

Cons:

I do wish there were a couple more in the set, but they aren't too expensive so you can always get two sets if you want more.

Overall, I highly recommend these pop beads over other brands for infants and toddlers.

This set of pop beads has more unique shapes than other sets, but I do wish there were more pieces. My daughter wants to use them to make a necklace, but there aren't enough. You can still make chains though. It's a toy that will be quickly outgrown but is good for babies.

Our purchase of this lamb was not the average purchase. I was looking for the "perfect" lamb to sit atop of my infant son's casket spray. This was the perfect lamb. It served its purpose beautifully. It is a keepsake I treasure. It is also a lamb I plan to purchase with much frequency, as I've started a pregnancy loss non-profit and will be giving this lamb to other families as a keepsake.

I was very happy to find this product for my 7th grandchild. All the other grandchildren have a different brand of a prayer lamb but that one is no longer in production I was very disappointed, but very happy to find this one by Gund.

I am very pleased with this item. My 1 yr old loves it. They are perfect sizes for little hands. The faces on the fruits are so precious. The "basket" is a great size. My daughter carries it around like a purse. When all the fruits are in the basket, they are nice and snug so they dont constantly fall out. But easy of course to get in and out. We love this!

My 4 month old LOVES these fruit. When he sees them he throws his hands into the air and squeals. His favorite portion right now is the basket. I think the bright red contrasting stripes are visually stimulating and the braided handle provides interesting texture. All the fruit have interesting textures to explore.

It seems every few years, a new chemical used in manufacturing plastics is discovered to be toxic to babies (like BPA, PVC, and now thalates), and I like that with these toys, I won't need to worry about the next toxic chemical that hasn't yet been researched.

I love this toy! I recently bought it for my friend's daughter and fell in love with it when I received it. It is well made and the fact that it is organic and made with care is very important in a time when many toys are being carelessly manufactured. I purchased this fruit tote before my daughter Clara was born. We have found that they are just the right size for little hands to hold & little mouths to chew on. Clara (now 6 mos) has hugged, chewed and batted at them since she was just a few weeks old. The watermelon, pear and grapes fit very nicely when 'threaded' through 'C' clips that come with activity mats. Clara's activity mat came with some hard toys to dangle from C clips over her head & we discovered very quickly that the fruit were a better choice since she would bat at them & get hit in the head & since the hard plastic toys were also not good for chewing. We also use C clips to dangle these from her infant car seat handle. I don't have to worry about lead or other toxic chemicals in these toys. Clara likes the firmer 'grapes' as well as the pear's leaves and banana's peel for chewing. These toys are very cute. They are the most used toys she has.

Lamaze Play and Grow Kerry the Fairy Take Along Toy

Our infant boys loved Kerry. The black and white background on the reverse side is perfect for the second and 3rd months. We clipped it onto the gymini and she was gleefully batted about. As they grew older they loved her purse which apparently is both intriguingly filled with rolly balls and delicious to teeth on. It easily snaps on to a carseat for a great car toy. We handed it down to their cousin this last May. And it is now a favorite of his too.

I received this as a gift at my baby shower. This is my little one's first favorite toy! I hook it to her play gym and I've hooked it to her car seat when we took a long trip. It really kept her entertained! At first she loved to stare at it, now she's plays with it and chews on it some. I would definitely recommend this or any similar toy from Lamaze! The back of the wings are black and white, which is good for newer babies, but the patterns and colors on the rest fascinate her now as well. I think this toy will definitely grow with her.

Kids Preferred Amazing Baby Blanket Teether Bear

I cannot for the life of me figure out why companies manufacture anything made of cloth that cannot be immersed in water for cleaning purposes for children. As cute as this teether is and as much as my daughter likes it, what good is it if it cannot be properly washed? The directions on the product say to "surface wipe". That is dumb.

I like this but would have preferred that the company manufacture something that could be immersed in water and properly cleaned.

Annoyed...

Once my son started really showing an interest in toys around 2.5 months, I found a hard time finding ones that he could hold onto. He wasn't yet grabbing for things, but would grasp something placed near his hands. In a sitting position, I can place this toy on my son's stomach or in front of him and he can easily grasp one of the bear's limbs and bring it to his mouth. He's 5 months old now and still loves this colorful, crinkly toy. He's still not very adept at reaching for things, so this is still one of his favorites.

I thought my son was teething as early as 3 months. I like when things have 2 purposes so I was stoked when I found this. At 3 months he couldn't grasp anything except his blanket and would find the ribbon or tag each time. I decided I wanted something with ribbons or taggies that was easy for him to hold. I lucked out when I found this bear. He can keep himself entertained on the many toys and doesn't seem to get bored of it. He was screaming to the top of his lungs one night while shopping in Ross. I threw this bear over my left shoulder like a burp cloth and he found his way to the rings that were dangling. I would press the squeak toy every now and then and it would catch his attention and keep him quiet long enough for me to continue shopping.

there is nothing wrong with this toy that it should receive poor reviews. dont put toys in sterilizers just wash in either a bleach mixture or hot soapy water regularly. my child loves his bendy bug!

This table is beautiful. We bought it for my daughters 4th birthday present. It is very well made with solid construction and the paint is flawless. I put my 5 month old in it and she loved to kick the balls, grasp them with her hand, and of course slobber on them. I just wash her hands before i put her in it. It takes up about 1/2 the space in the fisher price play yard. On the outside there are mirrors, crinkle spots, holes and other things that she will enjoy when she is bigger. It is very well made and it is cute.

We bought this for our 6 month old. She loves it. The balls are a great size for her hands and you can zip it around her. It also travels well.

My daughter (just turned one) got this for Christmas and she has been carrying it everywhere. It's much bigger than I thought it would be. Seams all look well constructed, so I think this doll will last a long time, even with being dragged all over the house under the arm of a toddler. I also loved that the strawberry at the top of the hat actually smells like a strawberry! I grew up with Strawberry Shortcake, and I think it's terrific that toys like this are making a come-back.

I am giving it two stars mostly because one star means I hate it, and hate is such a strong word.

If you are looking for an iPhone knockoff to give your toddler to play with so he/she can leave your real phone alone, this is NOT the item to get. Any 18 months + toddler who have played with a real iPhone will not want to have anything to do with this. I think the more suitable age for this toy is more the 9-12 months crowd. My 19 months old, who's been using my iPhone since forever, looked at me like "are you kidding me" when I handed him this toy. I am returning it.

The biggest problem is, the photos are misleading. It makes it appear as if the toy has a screen like the iPhone and icons on them when you push, something will show up on the screen. That is NOT the case. There is no screen, unless you count the little dot on the upper left corner that lights up when you hit those buttons. The rest of the "screen" is just a sticker of icons, when you press "1", it just says "1". That's it! I realize $20 wasn't going to get me a real iPhone like toy, but still, this is maybe a $10 toy that's not even as good as some of the other toy phones on the market for the younger kids. Very disappointed.

I was really excited when I saw this phone on Amazon. I even preordered it! My 11 month old son is obsessed with my iPhone. The product is MUCH different in person than the one picture Amazon had up. I've included some photos so you can see what it actually looks like. The screen doesn't light up or act like its a real phone at all. Its a cheap sticker stuck onto a giant piece of white plastic. The phone is much larger and chunkier than a real iPhone, and honestly doesn't resemble it at all. Its not even fun to play with. My son took one look at it and tossed it aside. I already returned it. I might have kept it if it was around $5 (I paid $21.99 preordered), but anything more than that is NOT worth it.

I sort of thought the whole screen would be backlit like a real iphone, but instead only one small circle icon in the upper left lights up. The rest of the buttons are just a big sticker that covers the whole front of the screen. The sticker and phone are good quality and appear to be well made.

The sound is not to loud, not to soft, just right.

The buttons are easy to press and you dont have to press down very hard at all, which is nice! It is slightly larger than a real iphone.

Overall I'm happy with it and my son seems to like it. i just wish i knew that only one small icon lights up and the rest are just an image.

I was very excited about this product when I saw it on the Amazon site... until I received it. The appearance is nice. It's light and colorful and grabs your child's attention. HOWEVER, just after a few days of use... the Keyes started to malfunction. Some when pressed didn't say anything. Other times... the correspondence didn't match what was being pressed. Everything on the phone was screwed up! Colors, numbers, & the animals were all mixed up. Definitely not something to help aid a child's learning process... Good grief! I had it less than a week and have already returned it! Big waste of money!

Bright Starts Bounce Bounce Baby Activity Zone

My baby is 4.5 months old. And she LOVES to jump, so I thought that it was very important that I get something that will help her jump on her own so that I can get some work done. I can't spend 24/7 with her and holding her (like she wants me to). I did A LOT of research before I even considered getting this product. This is what my research have concluded. My research included reading hundreds of different forum posts, reviews online, university research, and even the journals of pediatrics.

IS IT SAFE FOR A 4 MONTH OLD TO USE THESE JUMPERS AND EXERSAUCERS?

All of the research that I have done all said that it was ok for a 4 month old to use these jumpers and exersaucers (even when they cannot sit up on their own). As long as their head is strong enough and they can hold their head up on their own, then it is ok for you to put your baby in these.

DOES USING THESE JUMPERS AND EXERSAUCERS HINDER DEVELOPMENT?

All of the research that I have read on, said that for babies that uses these and babies that do not use these, their developments in regards to learning how to walk, crawl, motor skills did not change from the babies that used these jumpers and from babies that did not use these jumpers. So no difference in development was shown. So this also means that babies did not show any development improvements from using these either.

I added the information above because I had the same concerns before I purchased these jumpers and so I hope that my findings will help you make your purchasing decisions.

Ok, now back to the product review.

PROS: This jumper is MUCH CHEAPER in price than any other jumpers that I was able to find out there. This jumper is only $39.99, and most other ones at the store is $79 and more.

So for the price it is very good. There are multiple levels that you can adjust the height of the product so that this can grow with your baby. Lots of toys to keep your baby busy. The seat cover can be taken out to be washed.

CONS: This item is not very bouncy. I originally wanted it because I needed something bouncy for my baby. So the seat does not bounce at all. It does swivel 360* degrees though, but so does all of the brands that I have seen (Fisher price and Baby Einstein). Fisher Price and Baby Einstein have better jumpers (called jumperoo). The Bright Starts Bounce Bounce Baby Activity Zone, only the bottom base part moves like a trampoline but not a very good one. My baby wants to be able to jump her whole body, not just push the base (where her feet is) up and down. Toys on this jumper are not electronic, none of it play songs and does not light up, so my baby got bored really quick.

So this item went back.

Baby Einstein jumper is better than this Bright Start one but the seat for the baby is really loose. So I don't feel that it is safe for my baby to sit in it.

It is more jumpy and bouncy (like a bungee jumping ropes). It has a lot of toys to keep baby busy. But none of the toys are electronic, none of it play songs and does not light up. So for $79, I expected more bells and whistles. I'm not paying almost 2x more for bungee ropes.

I ended up getting a Fisher Price (Jumperoo) instead. They have 3 different themes (jungle, ocean, and discovery). I got the discovery one. All of the other ones are very similar, just with different themes fabrics, colors, and animals.

Why Fisher Price?

Same price as the Baby Einstein at $79. Lots of toys to keep baby busy. But the Fisher Price Discovery Jumperoo there is 1 toy station that lights up and sing songs :) Yeah!!! My baby loves the music and the lights. On the Discovery one it is a piano, and she loves musical instruments. The seat on this one moves at 360* around so that baby can enjoy all of the toy stations. Same bungee jumping cable like action like Baby Einstein. So I ended up getting the Fisher Price Discovery Jumperoo and keeping it.

Baby loves this jumperoo so far.

I forgot to add that with all baby products and toys, it is NOT recommended that you leave your baby sitting in these things for prolong periods of time. You should only leave your baby in these for 20 minutes at a time. And you can have them play in these multiple times a day, but don't just leave your baby in these for hours. And you should always be there or nearby to keep an eye on your baby while they are in these. Don't leave your baby unattended.

After reading other reviews I was skeptical because people always say "You get what you pay for" but I went ahead and purchased this for my granddaughter anyway. She is almost 5 months old and LOVES it!! She wants so badly to sit up like the big people so this is perfect! She needs a pillow under her feet for now but I'm sure it won't take long for her to grow into it. It was easy to put together, all pieces fit nice and snugly so no worries of them coming out. The toys are fun and colorful. If you don't have $100 for a fancy one, this is a great purchase for the price.

According to the other reveiws I read about different toys, I think one of the biggest problems people run into is that they are in a hurry to put things together, don't read instructions and then it doesn't work right. Take your time. It is for the safety of the child for crying out loud!

Kept our little guy entertained long enough to get a few things done around the house. Durable. Easy to put together. Affordable. For as quick as he was in and out of this stage (they DO grow up so fast!), I'm glad I didn't waste our money on anything more expensive. What I also REALLY like is that it isn't overly filled with too many flashing lights or toys. And you can turn the sound off, which came in handy with our three year old who kept wanting to hear the music... over and over again...

I went back and forth over buying this type of Bounce Seat for my baby, I kept asking, does she really need it? She was playing in the high chair, and on the floor. Eventually I broke down and bought one when she was six months as she had lost interest in her floor gym, and sitting in the high chair while I did a bit of kitchen work didn't really provide much chance for movement.

I'm so glad I did, baby loves this for short periods of time. Long enough to get the dishwasher running and wipe up the counter, it's perfect. Of course I would never leave her in this for an extended period, that's not what its meant for.

The price is great, I needed a budget model, I mean how long does a person really use something like this, babies grow so fast. Also, I didn't want something huge taking up our floor space, this is not "mini" by any means, but it does have a slightly smaller footprint than other choices. My baby doesn't care for lots of electronic noises and lights (nor do I), this is a toned down version of some other louder, noisier bounce Seats.

The platform is adjustable so baby will get use out of this item as she grows. It's also easy to wipe down. The center seat spins freely with a bit of effort from baby, it's not sticky/choppy for baby to turn in.

If you get creative you will find places to link a few more favorite toys to this item, I have Lamaze Play & Grow Freddie the Firefly Take Along Toy hooked onto the giraffe and a few Bright Starts Lots of LinksSolid Colorshooked onto the small turn toy. Baby's favorite toy that comes on the seat is the flower rattle and the flexi green teether.

I wanted something I could park my baby in now and then that would give him the opportunity to stand (his new favorite thing). I looked at various other options doorway jumpers, jumperoos, exersaucers and decided they were way too expensive for what they were fancy baby parking lots with an overabundance of noisy, flashing junk (or, in the case of the doorway jumper, a formal invitation to our first emergency room visit).

Honestly, the ROI on all the extra features built into those other options isn't worth it. if you spend any time at all playing with your kids, they're going to develop just fine without the help of an expensive hunk of plastic and springs.

I digress.

This is one of those things you quietly congratulate yourself on buying every time you look at it. My son totally loves it, and the number of different toys attached seems perfect for a 5-month-old brain. In one session, he'll sometimes make the round and play with everything, but more often than not he'll focus on one or two things. (The spinning monkey is a particular favorite.) I attached some rings to the purple "anchor" and hung a rattle from the giraffe thing, and they blend in really well. I would say he consistently plays for a good 15 minutes before making noises to be picked up, which for my kid is pretty fantastic.

The orange platform is hard plastic and attached to the legs with tight bungee bands. It gives a little when the baby straightens his legs, but it's not like a trampoline or anything. I'm glad there are three different levels you can mount the base at (easily) because in just two weeks, my kid's feet are flat on the base. (They're supposed to rest lightly on it with their toes.) Either he's grown an inch in two weeks or the bands have stretched out. Either way, we have two more levels to go!

The only thing I don't love is that the paint on some of the toys is kind of sloppily applied. It hasn't flaked or anything, but it is a constant reminder that my son is gnawing on a piece of plastic coated in chemicals.

Assembly was easier than it looked at first (p.1 of the instruction booklet looks like a schematic for a spaceship), and while it's not super sturdy, I don't see it breaking or collapsing on my offspring anytime soon.

It's thirty-five dollars and it's not a death trap!

Your child will never know how much it cost!

If you want to park your baby standing up but you'd rather fund their 529 than spend $100 on an annoying space-hog you'll have to somehow get rid of in six months, this is the product for you.

Hasbro Playskool Busy Beads Pal

My son received the Busy Beads pal for his 1st birthday, and unfortunately at 12 months this toy just fails to grab his attention. The suggested age range is 6-18 months so maybe if he got it at 6 months it might have been more interesting to him. At this stage he is more interested in sorting things, like blocks etc or colorful sing along toys.

This toy is very cute. My 5 month old was excited to see it and even started to play with the beads. It seems very well made and put together. It was a great price when I got it. Seems like something they would play with for a long time.

Skip Hop Funky Farmyard Build a Barn Blocks

Skip, Hop, Build a Barn Blocks could have been a fun toy for younger little ones, but the blocks are simply to large for their smaller hands. Once your little one is able to sit up alone and interact with his toys, the blocks have minimal play value and no educational aspect to warrant a recommendation. By the time he was seven months old, the only thing our grandson found of interest was his ability to knock over the blocks when someone helpfully stacked them up. Otherwise, he ignored these in favor of several Haba items. Because the blocks are relatively large and are not squishy, he had to use both hands to "lift" the blocks. As a child who likes to grasp and manipulate his toys, these did not satisfy his play needs.

The cloth from which these blocks are made is coarsely woven and appears to be an inexpensive percale. The colors used on the sides, piping, and to imprint the animals are not particularly pleasing or vivid. I would not recommend purchasing these for your own infant or for a gift; there are many other items from which to choose.

The little tike we ordered these for seems to like them quite a bit. They're a nice size for picking up, throwing at the cat and chewing on the corners of. Oh, you're supposed to build things with them?

These blocks are really cute and easy on the grown up eye, but have also been one of my baby's favorites. We got them when he was 6 months and he continues to love them at 8 months. He loves knocking them down when stacked, they're good for chewing on, they have some smaller things to grab for fine motor skill development, and the bell sounds are pleasant. I look forward to him learning how to stack them himself!
