I guess in my post-natal fog I didn't realize this was supposed to suction cup to the car window. No matter, the little guys are attached with velcro loops so I just took them off and put them on the car seat handle. Baby stares at them for hours!

I can't say I have ever used it in the car but I have detached the toys and put them around her wrist, on her play mats, and just dangled them in front of her to swat at when she was younger. She enjoys playing with them partially because of the sounds (the jingling and the crinkling of certain parts) but largely because she can easily hold and play with them from a young age. I found that many baby toys were just too big or too heavy!

Peek-a-Blocks Discovery: Barnyard Friends Blocks

These blocks are great fun. Each block has something interesting inside it. In our house these have been played with by boys and pretty roughly at times. The windows to see inside are still clear and not one of these blocks have broken. So I would say they are sturdy and hold up well to normal play.

This set is my particular favorite along with the transportation set. The animals are very cute.

On the ends of each block is a texture. Within each block is something interesting. And many blocks have an activity associated with itpush a button to make a noise, twist a knob to make something turn around etc.

The one thing I would warn is that these blocks do not stack well, particularly in tall towers. So if you are thinking of buying these for tower building, I'd consider a different set of blocks. Otherwise, these are excellent toys.

They provide a basis for communication and vocubulary building with your child. They are sturdy and encourage language, eye hand coordination and so on.

If you enjoy toys that are fairly quiet, do more than have a push button to make a noise, foster independent creative play and exploration of the world this is an excellent toy.

Though the product says the blocks are suitable for babies as young as 6-months, keep in mind they are talking about how safe they are! Not necessarily that the kid will like them that early! (They may and they may not.)

I bought a different set of 6 blocks for my daughter because *I* found them adorable. In the beginning, she just wasn't feeling them. Even when she was old enough to hold and examine them, I think I found them more interesting than she!

BUT... after putting the blocks out of sight for a while, then pulling them back out, she's much more in love with them! Remember that kids develop at different stages, not to mention, they are little humans and simply have different tastes and interests!

My advice: don't write these blocks off as not very good simply because your child doesn't like them. Start with one small set and (re)introduce it to your child at intervals. After the age of 12-18-months, they may be into them a whole lot more!

Before my 3 year old was born I saw these and bought them, I thought the were just too cute. When she was a tiny baby she liked to lick and suck on them, as she grew she played with them occasionally. The items inside were not as interesting to her as I thought they would be. The toy did not engage her, though her older sister enjoyed playing with them from the ages of 4-6. I just packed up my set and will be donating them to her school. I thought she would have become more engaged with them by now.

Would make a great gift idea, but never know if it will be THE toy. Don't be disappointed if you child seems less than interested. As a parent, I loved them.

Star Wars Baby Bunting R2D2 Costume

I bought this costume for my very small three year old, thinking that a size 2-4 would be adequate. However, I could not get it over his head. Fortunately, his grandmother sews and could make the proper alterations. The length of the costume is fine, the sleeves are a little on the short side, and the hat fits him perfectly. If your child is on the small side this costume will probably work. Just be warned that the 2-4 label is closer to 2 than 4. It's super cute though if the sizing is right.

Fantastic costume for a toddler. Head space was WAY too small so I needed to cut it a little, but it's durable enough, and totally recognizable even in the soft material. All the teens thought he was adorable as well as all the geeky dads out here in Microsoft Land! :)

Adorable costume. Baby was 2 mos old on Halloween, and my concern was that it was indicated up to 9 mos of age. It is a bunting sack. It says hand wash only, and suggest you follow that. I washed before wear, but was not quite dry before we had to go out, so I put it in the dryer for 20 min (the collar takes forever to dry, has some stiffer material, perhaps cardboard?) I figured it would shrink, but since my baby is only about 10 lbs, did not make a difference. We did not put the hat in the dryer and that was still big. Would still have looked good if it did not shrink (don't think if would've been too big) Got a lot of great feedback when we were trick or treating (big brother was Luke and sister was Leia.) Overall very pleased, now plan to stuff it and give it to the kids as a pillow!

This is my first review. My daughter got these for Christmas and she is now 4.5 months old. She still can't lift them comfortably as a group. I think they are too heavy and clumsy for the age group they are listed for. 6+months might have been better. She's hit her self in the face trying to lift them and, trust me, that is not a pretty sight. I agree that the white ring they are on does not stay shut and they fall off all the time as well.

My little boy recieved this toy at 5 mo of age and now at 8 still loves it. It is separated but everytime he sees a piece of this he lights up and can't wait to rattle, shake, press and roll the keys. Highly recommended!

We received this as a gift right after our daughter was born. The blue music key made changing time a bit easier in the early weeks when she hated being stripted down. The sounds got her attention for a moment. We learned that the 'wheels on the bus' tune was the best. Now at nearly 5 mo, we still play the key everychanging time. And sing wheels on the bus a thousand times a day, while changing her or anytime she becomes upset, restless or bored! We play games with the music key, place it near her feet or hand, show her once where it is, by touching her limb to it to make the sound. She will begin kicking or hitting it to make it go off... she has been doing this for several months already.

The ring the keys are on is too flimsy. We use with out it. She has just begun being able to grasp any of the keys because of the bulky size, but really enjoys trying. I think FP should redesign it, if you tried attaching it to anything, like the diaper bag, it would fall off and get lost.

Our blue key stays on the changing table. We would be lost with out it.

I got this for my 4 month old for christmas, knowing she was kinda young for it, I knew she would eventually grow into it. This piano has stood up to quite a bit of abuse already and still works just fine. I like the different settings which keep my daughter from getting bored with it. She got this for a birthday present when she turned one, and liked to walk on it, although she's finally quit doing that! After 4 months she still enjoys playing with it. I liked it well enough that I bought one for my niece who is slightly older but has special needs. I wasn't that thrilled with the songs on the free CD, but the CD was not the reason I bought this.

Little Tikes Rocking Horse Magenta

I have two older children, who are 6 and 8 and whom have enjoyed many little tikes toys over the years. I bought this for my niece's first birthday. This rocking horse is perfect for a child age 1 to 3. The seat is very low, so its easy for a little one to climb into, unlike a lot of the really cute adorable rocking horses you see out there which look great, but are just too challenging for the age. The toy is also very solid, there is no chance as long as the child isn't doing anything extreme that it will fall over onto its side while they are rocking in it.

My daughter was born blind and has a strong tactile defense when it comes to exploring new items with her hands. She has never shown any interest in pacifiers or teething toys of various types no matter how hard we've tried. She'd rather chew on her bottle nipple or sippy cup spout. We have this and Sophie the giraffe, and our son loves both.

This one is made of thinner/softer rubber than Sophie, and is a simpler shape, so it's easier for him to get a nice big hunk in his mouth and bear down when his gums are hurting.

I also like the handle on the head of the yellow one. It is very easy for my 5.5 month old to grasp and play with. The small loop handle also makes it simple to attach the toy to the stroller or carrier we're using with a pacifier clip, so that it's not dropped/lost.

He honestly plays with both Sophie and this about the same amount, so I'm happy that we bought both.

We bought this item first because Sophie was too expensive and we weren't sure we were going to love it. First off, our daughter LOVED Chan. He's easy for young babies to grip and has that ever-so-familiar head for all the nursing babies. Our daughter used it all the time while teething; it was so effective that we didn't know she was teething until her teeth popped out! Well, needless to say, we loved it so much that we splurged on Sophie too! Sophie was welcomed, but not as much as Chan. Sophie doesn't squeak as easily and has more nooks and crannies that aren't so familiar. Although Sophie is good, Chan is GREAT!

This toy is too soft for my teether. My baby is really looking for something that they can "sink their gums into". This toy is a soft, thin, rubber, squeaky toy, there really isn't a lot to it. Yes it is light weight, but we need a harder surface since my baby still prefers to munch on my thumb knuckles,(which is starting to be a bit much) than this toy. If your baby is really looking for something to really chomp on, this toy is way too flimsy, and NOT the toy for you, keep looking.

This toy has become on of my baby's favorite AFTER his teeth have started "sprouting"it's soft enough to not irritate sensitive gums ,yet swishy enough to provide the chewiness required. Great for after 5 months.

This little guy we call him "blue man" is odd looking but my 7 m.o. daughter loves him. She got him when she was 2 months old and has loved him more and more. He's made out of the same soft but sturdy rubber that Sophie the Giraffe is made out of. He squeaks when you squeeze him and the air going in and out makes his head bob up and down. The knob on the top of his head is kind of like a nipple and my daughter sucks on it like it is it's a toy, a squeaker, a pacifier, etc. We take "blue man" everywhere. Buckle Toy "Bella"

I purchased this toy for my 15 month old (now 2) and she loved it. My main objective for this toy was to help keep her busy in the car or on a plane and it served it's purpose well. The reason I chose this buckle toy over others I had seen was because of the clasp variety. I wanted my daughter to have multiple types of buckles and others I saw were the same clasp in different colors and sizes at best.

The previous reviewer is right, the toy is not the size of a pillow but more the size of an average adult hand. I am not sure why you would want it to be any bigger. If it were the size of even a standard toddler pillow it would be awkward or cumbersome for a toddler to hold and buckle at the same time. I think a larger size buckle toy is more appropriate for a baby that does most of it's exploring and playing while lying on its stomach.

The price also seemed a little high to me when I purchased it but after seeing all my child has put it through added to the fact that it is still in perfect condition has actually led me to purchase it as gifts for friends toddlers without thinking twice about the price.

At the start of this review I mentioned that she loved it past tense. We still throw the buckle toy in the mix of travel toys and she is happy to see it but after about 3 months of use my daughter had mastered it and it now only holds her attention for about 30 seconds. This short time frame may seem discouraging to some but 3 months is the longest (besides stickers) any travel toy has held my daughter's attention so I consider it a success. With 30+ flights under her belt and many road trips this toy has also probably been forced on my child more then most which I am sure has a lot to do with it's entertainment lifespan in our family. I do have friends who's children have a longer attention spam with it after a longer time frame.

Even after they figured out how to hook and unhook the buckle, they continued to play with them as if it were their first time. It challenges their motor skills AND I quiz them on the colors, shapes and numbers that are displayed. I actually have to order more of them because the children fight over them. North American Bear Baby Cozies - Circus Cozy Lion

This lion is adorable and holds up amazingly well! Most importantly, my 8 month old loves it! He sleeps with it every night and, because it's small with no stuffing, I don't worry about it nearly so much as I would a blanket or a stuffed animal. We've washed it MANY times and you can't tell it at all it's holding up really well. We bought 2 just to have a back-up for when one is in the wash.

In regards to "Shelley" who complained about it being too small, I feel a need to comment. So let me say that it is immensely irritating when people give a product poor reviews simply because they didn't bother to read the basic information provided regarding sizes, quantities, etc BEFORE purchasing. If the product is inferior, by all means, rate it as such. People should not, however, give out low ratings simply because they didn't take time to read the details listed clearly under "Product Description." If Shelley had done this she would have noticed that, among other points, the size of 8 inches is noted. READ people!!!

*Update: We have now been using our lions for over two years. This lion is still our son's only lovey and he sleeps with it *EVERY* time he goes down. Despite the constant (ab)use and washing, they both still look great and we have had no problems with fuzz coming off, ripping seams, etc. GREAT product!

We received this as a small gift from a friend's mom when my daughter was born four years ago. Since then, Lovey the Lion has been at her side day & night. My 1 year old received a dog by this same company and immediately fell in love. Because of the small size and that it doesn't contain stuffing, like other stuffed animals, I felt ok allowing him to sleep with it in his crib. Nice and small, so no issues with sleeping with it at a fairly early age (not too early), but now my daughter won't sleep without it. we have had to get a back Lion so when it's in wash (washed in machine all the time and holds up) we have another ready to go for nap time. Great product!

Intex My First Pool

I was so excited to get this for my 6 month old baby to play in. He loves the tub, so I figured, why not try a little pool outside? He loves it! It's the perfect size for him, although, give him another few months, and its size won't be so accommodating. I don't think he's a BIG baby, but I could be wrong. He's 28 inches and 18lbs. When he kind of lounges on the blown up part, his legs hang over the other side. Also, the material is kind of flimsy. I was afraid it would rip if I put it in the grass and there was a hidden stick or something, so I just kept it on the porch. It also comes with a patch, so I wasn't very convinced about it's durability. Other than those things, we love it! It's a great time killer and a good way to keep baby cool while outside.

I purchased the inflatable pool to be used on a cruise ship since my daughter is not yet potty trained to use the pool. I also used it to bath her since there is no tub on the cruise ship.

As a pool, I took it on the deck and placed it between to lounge chairs. I filled it with pool water using an ice bucket that I got from the bar. It worked out just fine. My daughter was able to enjoy the sun and play in the water. This was also a perfect size.

Do-N-Slide for Potty Training

The concept of this product is good but it is hard for little fingers to slide the cards. They tend to get pushed into either side under the trim and it is difficult to move them out as there is nothing to hold on to. A knob or something to grasp would be helpful. Maple Landmark Mini Spin Rattle

I bought this rattle for my 5 month old son and he loves it. He seems fascinated with the small rings that slide back and forth and he also loves to chew on it. My only complaint is that the paint runs when you wash it, but I am not sure you are even supposed to wash it ?

Monkey Family Bath Toy - Floating Fun!

I had purchased an item same as this for my 2 year old grandson previously, though a different animal species, and he really loved it in and out of the bath! It is made really sturdy and the little ones love the Mommy and her babies...very special playtime pretending. I bought this one as a monkey-themed baby shower decor accent and then will be given to my daughter afterward to save for the baby when he's ready to play in a jungle of imagination!! So adorable!!

My little one, now almost seven months, has discovered that the little monkeys make excellent teething toys -I'm so glad this came with three little monkeys, since he now carries one with him all over the house. They also fit great in my purse, so "bath toy" has become "chew on in the car" toy. He's also getting more coordinated, so although all three little monkeys still don't fit on the big one, he's very happy with one or two babies floating around on mom.

I appealed to dad on the whole "retaining water" issue, and apparently, all it takes is muscle-he folded the big monkey completely in half and all the water squirted right out. So I'm changing my stars to five-this isn't a great toy for a little, uncoordinated baby. But once he started to get the hang of all his fingers, my son fell in love with this!

I got this toy for my six-month-old son because for him, bath time is play time. The concept of the baby monkeys being "on top of" the mom monkey is educational (learning spacial relations-"on top of" vs "next to," etc). However, the toy is not very stable (tends to flip over a lot), and all three babies barely fit on the mom. As a result, at the slightest wave, all the baby monkeys tumble off of the mom monkey and just float around. So I usually leave the baby monkeys out and just give my little one the big monkey to play with; he likes grabbing it and holding it under the faucet to make the water spray around. This kind of defeats the whole "spacial relations" point, though, and he gets bored with holding onto the one monkey pretty quickly.

I am concerned, too, because it seems like the big monkey is retaining water. I can hear it sloshing around in there no matter how I try to squeeze or drain it out, and I'm worried about putting a toy full of potentially moldy water in the bath with my infant. Overall, I feel very underwhelmed this toy. I would probably prefer to have spent the money on something else.

Pros: cute, floats well, light and easy for baby to grab, safe for baby to gnaw on

Cons: often upside down, small monkeys don't fit well, might be retaining water/hard to drain

Jellycat Gorgeous Girly Mouse

I had to give this little girl 4 stars because of the quality and detail ... She's really precious. Very well made, super soft and cuddly, but not including the floppy legs and ears, she's about four inches. For the price, sadly she is going back.

Okay, I was weak. She was just too cute to send back. Into the Easter basket she went, and was a huge hit with my 19 month old. She cuddles her and puts her in her stroller. I think she likes how small the mouse is, so if Piper's happy, Mommy's happy.

just love the jellycatline of toys so colorful and cute! Have so many animals to choose from. Hard to pick your favorite and safe for babies no small objects that than get into mouth.

The Jellycat Gorgeous Girly Mouse was a gift I had bought for my newborn niece a few weeks back. When I saw it online, there was a completely different picture posted; the toy ended up being much smaller, flatness & the materials & colors of the clothing and overall appearance was not the quality that were described. From the description & picture, I was expecting a very detailed & well made doll but that wasn't what was received. It is cute toy but not at all what I would have bought for my niece. I thought I was buying a special collector type doll to decorate the nursery, not a common toy with no character nor well made. My sister-in-law did like it however for just a play toy, though she had not seen the picture nor the description that was posted when I bought it & I didn't convey to her what I was expecting it to be. I am personally disappointed, though if you are looking for a simple play toy for your child I'm sure you will like it. At the moment the picture is more accurate. Though, the head is very flat and the body is a strange shape, which you can not see in the picture.

I did however also buy the Maison Chic Giraffe Coral 12" Musical Toy in which was exactly the quality I was looking for & is a very nice musical toy. The Maison Chic toys are very well made and I am very happy about that purchase for those who are looking for something less expensive but extra special for your child.

This little "stuffed animal" is delightfully imaginative. "She" is dressed rather adorably in vintage feminine attire and has an overall dainty girly look totally befitting her name. My sweet granddaughter Is called "Mausie" and loved her tiny friend.
