This is a great little naptime cozy...my son always puts blankets on his face and the bigger blankets would worry us because we wondered if he could breathe well. After everyone freaks you out about SIDS...I found this little cozy blanket to be PERFECT because its so light, but the beak gives your baby something to chew on, and of course he loves the tags (as all babies seem to). I really reccomend this little duck. Its great.

Maybe it's my fault but when I saw Duck blanket on the description I thought it was a blanket. Maybe I misunderstood...but this thing is the size of a wash cloth. I was so disappointed. So tiny! My son loves ducks so I thought I would get him a duck blanket, I ended up getting a duck wash cloth.

Great costume for the price and my 10-year old daughter was thrilled! FYI though, the "socks" aren't socks, they are plastic covers not a problem to put regular socks underneath, but wasn't what I expected regardless. Oh, and it only comes with 1 glove. I suppose I thought the other was hidden under the pom-pom. Again, no big deal....we love the costume and know it will be a huge success on Halloween!

very cute costume. really hated to spend this much for a halloween costume, but my daughter REALLY wanted it. when it arrived very quickly i was happy! but then when i opened it i discoverd it only had one pom-pom. making it just a single pom i guess. and only one striped arm band. it never stated there was two of either, i just assumed there would be. but it was still cute. the white part is made of a shiny pleather type material. it was wrinkly and i didnt know how to remove them cuz i didnt figure you could iron that? ... which irritated the 9 yr old :( helped make that bad attitude for the "cheerless leader" that much more authentic imo!

I applaud a company for making products that are safe, especially at an affordable price. However, the quality of the bear is extremely poor. The stitching looks like it was done by hand by a beginner seamstress and not in a charming "handmade" kind of way. My preschooler gets kid meal toys that look better quality than this. In fact, I would be embarrassed to give this to someone as a gift. Also, the item description says organic cotton exterior AND organic cotton fill. However, the tag on my product says organic exterior and does not list "organic" for the cotton interior. I've read that cotton batting does contain pesticide residues (if it is not organic) because it is not as processed as cotton fabric (which does not contain pesticide residues). Initially I bought this because the interior was organic cotton and not polyester. False representation.

While this looks like my son would love it he never got the chance because it is being returned for a refund due to the poor quality of this toy. The stitching is so lose it looks like with a tug his head would promptly fall off and there are holes where you can see the stuffing and I just opened the package! So disappointed! As a busy mom the last thing I have time to do is return an item so that tells you just how poorly its made that I am taking the time to do so. I love the teether keys from Greensprout so I was hoping to love this one too.

When I washed the tiger, the filling got a little lumpy. It is a natural filling (cotton) which is probably why it does that, but I was just surprised, being used to typical synthetic filings. The teether part was not particularly interesting to my baby because there is no texture on it, but he did like chewing on the stuffed animal part of it. Looked liked a tiger to me and very cute.

HABA Lucky Muslin Beetle

I bought this item for my 5 month daughter and she LOVES it...so does everyone who sees it!!! The leaf that the beetle velcro's to is so soft I see why she likes to rub it on her face. The body of the beetle contains a bell and only one of the wings of the beetle rustles when you touch it. I enjoy buying the European toys as they are so much more darling than just about anything you can find here in the states. I think this is a great buy, not to mention a head turner as most people don't know HABA. You can't go wrong!

This is a nice toy-it is bright and colorful and makes some noises when shaken. The beetle velcros in place and baby can move him around. I would give 5 stars if this was made out of organic fabric

I received this as a gag gift at my baby shower, but ultimately decided to try it out once my baby could hold her head up and crawl around a little. It works well as a formula feeder, although the mouth is far wider than the nipple on a standard bottle, so that wasn't too well thought out. Eventually the child drowned in formula. If I have a second child I might try this again, but since my first one didn't survive I may also just sell this on Craigslist.

My daughter got this for her 3rd birthday, and she loves it! Each page has 4 lines of text for the parent to read, and then says, for example, "Let's build Bright-eyed Rooster. What does he say?" The pages each have a detailed illustration of the storyline plus a picture of the blocks used to make each animal. My favorite thing about the book is that the pictures of the blocks are printed to scale. This helps my daughter because she is able to find each block, put it on top of the corresponding picture, and then push the pieces together. The illustrations and the text are good, but certainly not remarkable. If not for the interactive piece

(putting together the lego animals), I don't think it would hold my daughter's attention, much less mine. With the lego-building activities, however, it is brilliant. The way that the reading and hands-on tasks are interspersed is perfect for keeping a young child's attention.

One other thing worth commenting on is the packaging: it comes in a clear plastic resealable bin. I am so happy they decided to package it that way. Otherwise it would be impossible to keep all the pieces together. If your child has other Legos, you will probably want to make sure these pieces don't get mixed in with the others. It would take away all the fun if you had to search for pieces each time you read the book.

I bought this for my newly 3 year old grandson. He can read quite well, but I read it to him, as he was too interested in building the toys to be bothered. The building "instructions" were very easy to follow, but he loved having them to follow. After a few tries, he was able to build the animals without the instructions, but he just liked looking at them. I think this is a great, durable toy because not only is there reading available but also small motor control manipulation, following instructions, and other good stuff. I wish it were priced at about $10 but anything Lego is expensive.

I love these little sets as gift ideas for young children! I adore the combination of a board book with DUPLO bricks! The book is very cute, and my kids thoroughly enjoyed building the different animals, as did their friends (we received sets to try out through House Party). My one critique is that the set shows a person, but does not include any people. I think the addition of a farmer would really complete the set, and make it even more interesting to young children.

I bought this when I daughter was about 4 months old. My husband and I are big Lego fans and wanted to make sure we give our daughter the same experience.

With my daughter learning to grasp, she gains sensory and motor skills. Reading the book to her, encourages language skills. Building the animals will aid with problem solving skills in her future. We can also practice color recognition and animal recognition. I also always throw in a few rounds of "Old MacDonald" to extend the fun and learning opportunities. It's a great learning tool all around.

This is a nice little set to have for young children to introduce them Legos. And the younger they are when you give it to them, the more use they will get out of it.

While I was very excited to get this toy for my 18 month old, I have been very disappointed in it. Within two days of getting it, it started making a very strange cranking sound. We took it apart and "greased" it up with some graphite. Put it back together and it worked perfectly, for almost a week. Then, the sound returned. This time when we took it apart, we discovered that the internal lever simply couldn't take the constant use and was slipping. No way to fix that. Definitely not sturdy enough for a child!!

We got this for our 3 year old, but our 1 year old loves it too. Even though she's not walking yet, because she can crawl so quickly, she loves the mooing and plays with it every chance she gets. For such an inexpensive toy it really is worth it. I can't imagine a child not enjoying this, because it is so cute, and they get to pretend to mow the grass like dad. Since it is winter they are "moowing" indoors right now, but this would be fun outside also(weather permitting).

Safety 1st Temp Guard, Frog

This adorable frog is my daughters favorite bath toy. But it doesn't help with getting the water temperature right, the part that is supposed to change color is always the same. I still test her bathwater with my arm, but I don't mind and she loves to chew on this guys eyes!

Our son loves to chew on this frog while in the tub. Not too sure about the accuracy of the temperature. We tried it in very hot water as soon as you take the frog out of the water the HOT letters disappear so it is better I think to keep the frog submerged, flip it to expose the under side close to the surface to check the letters that way you can be sure it hasn't cooled down yet.

I purchased this frog temp guard for an easy way to make sure the water isn't too hot in our 4 month old daughters tubby. I always think the water is too hot and my husband always thinks it's too cold so this is an easy way to know. It is nice and cheap but is simple and works. We just throw this into her tub while filling up the water and getting her ready. We pull it out for a second and look at the bottom. If it says "HOT" then we know it's too hot. If it doesn't then we know it's good. We still test with our elbow too, but this makes it a lot more fool proof. It is also a little toy for her to look at and play with. Glad we bought it.

For my daughter's first birthday party we ordered a bunch of these to hand out as gifts. We ordered one extra and my daughter ended up with two and really likes them. They have been put through the paces and even went through the wash a couple times and are holding up great.

We received this bear in a nice clean package. This bear is made with great quality materials and can withstand many washes. We wash it in a protective mesh laundry bag for delicate items and it works wonders. It dries fast in the dryer, we leave the mesh bag on to protect it from fuzzing up . Safe for children of all ages, be sure to remove plastic and paper tags for babies and younger children. I bought this for my 7 month old son based on the reviews of other parents who bought it for their babies. However, when I received it, I was VERY disappointed to find that this teddy bear has plastic eyes. I thought they were stitched. This is a choking hazard and should never be given to any baby. I am a pediatrician and would never recommend this bear for any baby or young toddler. I have seen many patients brought into the emergency room who need surgery to remove these types of parts from their tracheas. DO NOT give this to your baby. It is cute and soft so if you want to give it to an older school aged child, that would be fine. However, I bought this bear under the category of "baby" and did not see anywhere in the product description that it had plastic eyes. This toy teddy bear is the cutest thing ever. I actually bought several of them to use as baby gifts and for diaper cakes. I am currently pregnant and I bought two of these for the grandparents when we announced the pregnancy. It has the cutest face and is very soft. I think it would make a great gift or a snuggly toy for a little one. I got three brown ones, a blue and a pink. For me the brown is the cutest of all, but all made great gifts.

Smart Trike Zoo 3 in 1 Kids Tricycle

I agree with the previous opinion that instructions are poorly done and it took me probably 30 min. to put it together, but there is a 3.5 min video on amazon check it out and you'll see it is not that hard.

When we go out my kid almost always chooses this bike over stroller or car (Step 2 Whisper Ride Buggy Blue) and it is my favorite as well. It is very easy for a parent to steer, removable safety harness makes it very comfortable and safe ride for a kid. Removable canopy is very handy especially in SoCal.

We purchased this bike well in advance for my kids first birthday and bike spent a few months in the box before I even attempted to put it together. I was very disappointed when I found that part of the canopy was damaged during shipping. I contacted Dana at Smart trikes and was pleasantly surprised because the only thing that she asked me was to email her picture of the broken part and shipping address replacement part was UPSed with no other questions asked. Smart trike comes with a great customer service when you need it.

My son is by no means large. He got this for Christmas 2010. He is now 19 months old, 30 lbs, and 34 inches tall. He's the size of a 2-3 year old and no longer fits in this trike. He actually stopped fitting in this trike about two months ago when he was 28-29 lbs and 32-33 inches. He could barely fit in the seat and the straps won't "click" once he's in the seat.

This is really too bad because it is really cute and he likes it; he just looks far too uncomfortable riding in it.

The issue is that his legs are too long. Imagine trying to ride a trike that is too small for your legs. His knees are far too bent making it very awkward.

This wouldn't be a problem if the main shaft of the trike actually allowed for the seat to slide back. If it does slide back, we couldn't figure out how to do it.

Speaking of assembly, the parent steering mechanism that attaches to the back never really worked for us. The fittings were way too tight for most of the assembly and we couldn't get the holes to line up so that we could put the pin in, no matter how hard we pushed and tried to tap it into place. Any one else have this problem?

Despite having this trike, we're looking into purchasing the Kettler and/or the Radio Flyer trikes as these are truly adjustable.

I brought this for my second son's 1st birthday. We have had it for a year now, as he is turning 2.

I am constantly having mom's inquire about the trike wherever we go, and I thought maybe I should post some of my comments where I brought it.

First off I should admit that my husband put the trike together so I can't comment on the difficulty. Took him 15min without difficulty, but he is an engineer and good at technical details. There was nothing broken or missing. The front pedals did spin when they were suppose to be disengaged, but that only lasted 3 days until it got worn in.

I saw a lot of bad/mixed reviews when I bought so I thought I'd comment on some of the things I'd seen posted.

1) I saw a lot of comments that it didn't steer straight. Ours worked prefect for 2 weeks then suddenly started veering all over the place and I thought oh no. I looked down and realized my 1 year old was trying to steer. There is no way to lock out your toddler from taking control, but I easily over power my little guy so it is never a problem. If you are having problems steering make sure the culprit is not your little angel :)

2) The sun shade is great, but not meant for strong winds. Also if it rubs against your child's blonde hair over the course of a long walk you may look down to discover your child has pink hair ( which luckily washed out). Easy to remove the shade.

3) the bucket on the back won't take a heavy load. I use to put my purse in the bucket but it has a tendency to dump the bucket and purse (i do have a heavy purse). Since it didn't carry my purse I figured I didn't need it right now and removed it. I'll put it back when we turn it into a dedicated trike.

4) The seat and seatbelt and surrounding safety bars still fit my 2 year old fine and there is still some growing room. Granted my child runs on the smaller side (26-27lbs). Most trikes don't have seat belts, so once he out grows them I'll stop using the belt. ( And one good thing about the safety bars only fitting small children is my 5 year can't steal his brothers trike, which thankfully saves me one sibling fight).

5) The toy phone got played with the first day and I don't think he ever touched it again. The cup holder at the front fits his sippy perfectly.

6) the saddle bag on the handle doesn't fit much. I like to carry a bottle of sunscreen in it for the days I forget the apply before leaving the house. Maybe an extra diaper, pack of wipes, bucket hat and some sunglasses.

7) My only real con about trike is pulling the trike backwards is a bit unstable. I use to pull my strollers through store doors backwards holding the door with my body. The first time I tried it with trike I nearly tipped it. Luckily the trike fits through doors going forward nicely so I haven't had any issues since.

8) both my kids refused to sit in a stroller from 11 months on. This is a great alternative. My son loves to ride in it. He tries to climb in without help.

9) one warning. Don't wear your Sunday best shoes or open toed sandals. My son likes to drag his feet on the ground despite having both the foot rest and foot pedals for options. It doesn't seem to be hurting his stride ride sneakers, but I could see some little kid somewhere scuffing up their nice shoes.

10) I love the grow-with-it factor. How much money have I spent on toys, clothes and baby gear that only lasted for 6months before the child grew out of it? It's wonderful to spend money on something that is going to be useable for years! A year of use, I've already gotten my money's worth, the next 2 years will just icing on the cake.

I got 3 of these based on the product pictures and the price. They look much more expensive than they actually are and the recipients loved them!

This is not a solid silver bank like Tiffany's or the more crazy expensive ones, it is a ceramic bank (meaning if you drop it, it will break), with silver paint coating on it.

The circular box is 7.5 D x 7 H, and the bear fills it up, it seems bigger than the product description.

Manhattan Toy My Snuggly, Bennet

My son received this snuggly as a gift while we were still in the hospital. It is very soft and adorable! It was the first (and pretty much only) blanket or stuffed animal that he wanted to snuggle with. He is now 6 months old and sleeps with it every night. He loves to pull the ears over his eyes while he falls asleep. I have washed it dozens of times in the washing machine and it has held up wonderfully.

It is made really sturdy and the little ones love the Mommy and her babies...very special playtime pretending. I bought this one as a monkey-themed baby shower decor accent and then will be given to my daughter afterward to save for the baby when he's ready to play in a jungle of imagination!! So adorable!!

My little one, now almost seven months, has discovered that the little monkeys make excellent teething toys -I'm so glad this came with three little monkeys, since he now carries one with him all over the house. They also fit great in my purse, so "bath toy" has become "chew on in the car" toy. He's also getting more coordinated, so although all three little monkeys still don't fit on the big one, he's very happy with one or two babies floating around on mom.

I appealed to dad on the whole "retaining water" issue, and apparently, all it takes is muscle-he folded the big monkey completely in half and all the water squirted right out. So I'm changing my stars to five-this isn't a great toy for a little, uncoordinated baby. But once he started to get the hang of all his fingers, my son fell in love with this!

I got this toy for my six-month-old son because for him, bath time is play time. The concept of the baby monkeys being "on top of" the mom monkey is educational (learning spacial relations-"on top of" vs "next to," etc). However, the toy is not very stable (tends to flip over a lot), and all three babies barely fit on the mom. As a result, at the slightest wave, all the baby monkeys tumble off of the mom monkey and just float around. So I usually leave the baby monkeys out and just give my little one the big monkey to play with; he likes grabbing it and holding it under the faucet to make the water spray around. This kind of defeats the whole "spacial relations" point, though, and he gets bored with holding onto the one monkey pretty quickly.

I am concerned, too, because it seems like the big monkey is retaining water. I can hear it sloshing around in there no matter how I try to squeeze or drain it out, and I'm worried about putting a toy full of potentially moldy water in the bath with my infant. Overall, I feel very underwhelmed this toy. I would probably prefer to have spent the money on something else.

Pros: cute, floats well, light and easy for baby to grab, safe for baby to gnaw on

Cons: often upside down, small monkeys don't fit well, might be retaining water/hard to drain

I got these because my nieces love the whole "5 Little Monkeys" song. I keep these here for them when they stay the night. They love playing with them in the tub and we can sing the song.

Stoller Fun Advice Book

Nice book by I wish it has more pages including space for the shower pictures.

It's just what you see, the ribbon is an actual ribbon. I thought it was a good price. I wanted something for guests to sign for the baby shower, and something that is easily stored. I know the shower book will be something that is just a keepsake, not something you will keep out, so I didn't want a big fancy one. This one is NOT hardback, the only reason I'm putting 4 instead of 5 stars. But the fact it is paper may be easier for the mom-to-be just to stick in her baby book. Inside it has cute, color pages, completely blank... so guests can write anything they want. It's labeled as advice book, but it can used as anything due to the blank pages.
