My parents got this for my 2 year old, since every time he talks to them on the phone he asks for a tractor ride. We only use this inside, and for that its perfect. The assembly took about 15 minutes, including decal application. I think its a sturdier plastic than similar ride-on toys we've tried.

I bought it for my 15 months old daughter. She is not walking yet so she can't play with it yet. But my 19 months old nephew loves it. It is short though, my nephew bends to hold it and it looks very uncomfortable. Why would they make such a nice, well made toy so short? It looks tall in the picture but it's actually 15 inches. plus kids don't hold it straight when they push it so it's even shorter than 15 inches that way.

My 2 year old son loves pushing things around the house, so I thought this toy would be perfect. We pulled this out of the box and were in SHOCK at how little it is. I would say it would be good for a 1 year old, but there is NO way they would grasp the concept on how to work it. My son doesn't get how to pick up the balls and the levers are too stiff for him to really shoot out the balls. The thing is, he is still running around with it, but it is so short he keeps falling over because it is completely ergonomically incorrect! It is such a cool concept, what a bummer that is was so poorly designed.

I bought this toy several months ago. I liked the idea of how it works+no annoying sounds or music+development of gross motor skills. I was disappointed when my daughter who was 18mos by that time refused to play with it. She could not press the buttons on the handles-you should press hard enough,neither could she pick up the balls with it. To pick them up you have to angle the toy a bit, not just hold it straight.

However, now when she is 21mos-what a huge difference!!! She plays with it almost every day, though just for several minutes. She got the idea of how it works and mastered the needed skills!! Our lil friend who is 25 mos also loves this toy:)

So, the time has come!!

This is the worst toy I have yet to encounter. We bought it for our 19 month old son for Christmas. It is next to impossible to pick the balls up with the device. You have to have the unit straight up and down. My husband and I had difficulty doing this and it was just frustrating for my toddler. The shooting mechanism wasn't easy either and also only worked with the unit strictly vertical. I would not recommend this for anyone. This toy needs a major redesign. The idea is great, not the toy itself. I also want to add that I agree with other reviews, that the toy is too short. My son had to bend to push it, so it doesn't even make a good push toy.

The little girl I got this for loves it. She likes to play with it on the days her mom is not vacuuming the house. The toy could have a better way to trap the balls. Some times she likes to trap and shoot over and over again but when its not picking up the balls shes just throwing them around. Great toy.

Unfortunately though the bottom is very slippery especially against plastic or other obvious mater a baby use his piano on like his walker table or chair etc. Maybe four raise internally-secure rubber couplets could exited out similar to the ones on a laptop since they both have similar base diameter and contact points. Other than that it will slide like a curling iron. :(

My 18mo daughters love music, so I figured they would love this toy. They really love to talk into the microphone and play with the "DJ" gadgets. The only negative thing I can say is that they unplug the microphone and carry it around so I have to hunt for it. Otherwise a great toy!

Fisher-Price Little People Wheelies Stand 'n Play Rampway

Fisher-Price has given your little one a thrilling toy in its Stand 'n Play Rampway Play Set Evel Knievel lives... Yes, although this rampway set is meant to allow cars to speed easily down the twin ramps, the toy we purchased for our grandson causes the cars to careen off the ramp that winds down the left-side of the structure. While he thinks it is great fun to watch the cars fly through the air, it is not good for anyone or anything in the way of the flying car.

I called Fisher-Price to determine whether we might have a defective rampway or whether something else was amiss. They said they had no other reports of flying cars and suggested we remove the ramp section that was causing the problem and snap it back into place. This helped some, but not enough to keep the cars from sailing through the air, though less frequently. We did notice the shorter, lighter cars tended to fly off almost all the time, while the heavier cars might stay on the ramp. The racecar and sportscar which are both 1.3 oz. and 1/8" shorter than the police car are the two extras which had the most trouble staying on the ramp. The police car which is 1.4 oz. and 3/8" shorter than the pickup truck (1.5 oz.) also tended to exit the rampway; the truck did stay on the ramp most of the time. A recall caused us to send back the two cars that came with the set before the ramp was assembled; once we receive the replacements and know how they perform, I will update this review.

Since this was not available on Amazon when we made our purchase, we bought it directly from Fisher-Price. The cost was $40; we were able to get free shipping through a promotion. Be sure to watch prices, there should be some nice promotions for the holiday season.

The Fisher-Price Stand 'n Play Rampway Play Set was easy to assemble. It is well finished in that there are no sharp edges which might scratch a child's skin; in fact, the edges are nicely rounded and very smooth. The set seems to be quite durable; our one-year old grandson pulls himself up using the rampway and it remains sturdy.

This is definitely a fun toy for little ones. Had we not had trouble with the cars staying on the rampway through the entire course of the race, it would have been rated as a five-star purchase.

My son is almost two and he loves this rampway. He had the Tonka triple track race car toy but it just didn't keep his interest at all. This FP toy, however, has more to it--longer rampway, two separate ways the cars can go down, a little gas pump that makes pumping noise, plus a few other noises when the cars exit the rampway, and a manual "elevator" the child can push up and down.

We don't have any problems with the cars flying off the track. On occasion they might fall off the ramp if my son pushes them down too hard or something. But it's not often at all and it just makes sense that occasionally the car won't roll down perfectly.

On a side note, my son also thinks it's hilarious to take his sister's Zhu Zhu pets down the rampway. :)

I've always been very happy with Fisher Price in the past, having had several of their toys since my oldest was a toddler 15 years ago. I just purchased this for our 16 month old, and she HATES it. The cars won't stay on the track. They fly off the edges and they tip over and slide down on their sides. I don't know if it's because the cars are so lightweight, or what the problem is.

The two cars that came with the set were recalled recently. The bottom of those cars say Made in Mexico and the recall was worried about the wheels coming off. Those went directly into the trash. I purchased two other car sets to go with the toy, and it's just so disappointing.

One thing to note: Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars work great (thanks to my 9 year old testing this out) but we don't let the baby play with these tiny cars yet.

My other trouble with this was assembling it. If the directions were in color, it would be easier to see where they want the red and yellow ramps to be placed.

Again, my 16 month old is frustrated and gets bored easily with this toy. I would not recommend it. I expected more from such a wonderful brand.

We got this for our 7 month old daughter for Christmas and she loves it. I also thought it seemed small when we got it, but it fits perfectly in her hand. She loses interest in her other toys that rattle pretty quickly, but she holds onto this for a long time. She also likes to chew on the balls on the top. It is worth the price.

Makes a nice jingling sound, easy to grasp and shake, when baby got older he wanted me to take the bell out for him. :\ Very sturdy and well-made, not soft wood (many Melissa and Doug toys are so soft that they get marred very easily; we have found that Selecta toys such as this one are more durable due to the harder wood).

It's such a simple rattle but I've seen toddlers break out into fights in order to play with this toy. In fact, I bought one for my 9-mth daughter after seeing her manhandling a poor little boy who brought it to the play group. She's older now but still gets a kick out of shaking it and ringing the bells when we sing songs. The wood is saliva-proof and it looks as in as good shape as when I first bought it six months ago.

Laugh & Learn: Musical Learning Chair

My 13 month old loves this chair. He plays with it on a daily basis. I would love to give it 5 stars across the board; however, I get a little worried when he plays with it. When he pulls up on the chair, it has turned over on him a few times. It's only if the pulls up on the part that has the lamp and book. It's sorta heavy on this side and him pulling up there makes it tumble. He hasn't gotten hurt, just a little frightened by falling backwards. Now when he goes near it, I always put my hand on the back of the chair to make sure it doesn't fall over. If they'd put a little more weight on the back of it, it would be more stable.

This was recalled because of the gap between chair and table. They say a child can choke or get their neck stuck. Once you get the recall piece it is just fine. My daugher had this since she was about 9 months and is now 2. From then until now she is still very interested. She says all the aminal names and noises. She likes to turn the clock. Very fun and also a nice chair to sit to watch cartoons or her shows. Very durable too.

I got this for my daughter for her first birthday. It did come with the repair piece for the recall. However, I am not sure how any child's head could get caught, unless they were younger than the recommended age of 12 months. The spot between the chair and table is large enough for an arm, but not for a head. My daughter likes to stand around it and play with everything. I'm sure she will decide to sit on it at some point. I have changed the batteries since I got it 1.5 months ago, but she uses it all day. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

I just have to start with how shocked I am at the price of this item. I mean SHOCKED. I own this, purchased from a yard sale for $5.00. Yep. $5.00. Brought it home, it looked as new as this picture does. Cleaned it for safety and set it down. My then 10 month old daughter went straight to it and sat on it. She started playing with it immediately. She has enjoyed in the several months since, very much. She finds it necessary to climb up in it, turn around and THEN sit down. But it hasn't flipped over yet. This is a great great toy if you can get for maybe $35.00 or less. I can't see paying $200.00 for this. It's great, but it isn't covered in gold. I can't believe this is the price. Still shocked.

My twin girls received this from grandma for their first birthday. At first I thought it was cheesy and wasn't sure how much they'd like it since they get bored with a lot of their toys very quickly. They loved all the sounds and singing that come from it when they play with the little lamp, flip the pages of the book or sit in the chair. At first they didn't really sit in it but just stood on it or played standing next to it. After a week or two they started sitting in it and they would fight over who got to sit in the chair. They are 16 months old now and still like to sit in it and play with it or sit in it to watch TV. I would definitely purchase this again and recommend it since it was one of the few toys they would play with everyday.

My daughter wore it this past Halloween. The leggings and arm covers were way to big for a 14 month old but the dress was absolutely adorable and the mesh arms were perfect. We just put some leggings on her instead of using the ones in the costume. She got lots of attention. Even just the headband was enough to make everyone comment on how adorable she looked. Very pleased.

I purchased this costume for my two year old daughter. The dress is cute, but very tiny (she wears 18-24 mo.) The worst part about this, however, is that the leggings are PANTS! The picture seems to show tights, as you can see that the little girl is wearing shoes, and the leggings are fitted. Totally not the case. In fact, the pants are super baggy, huge, and the feet don't cover her actual feet. Do not buy this! I am currently online looking for skeleton tights to finish the costume correctly.

One of the things that we've been focusing on a bit more lately has been fractions. The focus hasn't just been for the younger two, but also as a reminder for the older girls as well {amazing how things can just `slip' our minds!}. The Guidecraft Fraction Action and Fraction Cups have been a great `hands-on' math toy for just that purpose.

Both the Fraction Action and Fraction Cups are made from an eco-friendly rubberwood and then stained with low VOC aniline dyes, so they are safe for even super little ones to chew and drool on.

The Fraction Action Board is 9.5" square and not quite 1/2" tall and for ages 2 and up. The set has 18 stained wood pieces that fit into the nine shaped spots on the self-storing board: circles, squares and hexagons. Each shape has fraction puzzles of varying difficult ~ whole, halves and thirds.

The Fraction Cups are four great little portable puzzles containing 10 pieces that explore the fractions of halves, thirds and quarters. Both sets come with a simple activity booklet for use with your child.

Our son liked the bright colors and fitting the pieces together like puzzles. For our older girls it gives them a colorful visual reminder for how they can divide things up and still have a whole. The puzzles will definitely be used as a hands-on reinforcement through our school year for all of the kids.

The Fraction Action Board and Fraction Cups are obviously wonderful for teaching and reminding children about fractions, but with the variety of colors and sizes, they can also be used to sort by shape, color, height, and more.

My 16 month son likes this toy. So far he usually just likes taking the pieces out and carrying around the circle and pentagon. But the other day he actually put together the two pieces of a circle. This is a toy that will grow with your child.

Bought this for Christmas for my 5 1/2 month old. He's def an interesting doll and he does help to teach colors and shapes. I think my daughter will get better use out of him as she gets older.

My Grandaughter is 12 months old. She loves the doll and so does my three year old grandson. So far the sticking the shapes on the doll are excaping her, but she goes nowhere without the doll. I bought this for my 1 year old nephew, who loves Eebee's show. He watches it over and over, and just sits there cracking up! So, I bought this for him, not sure how he'd react (he's not really into stuffed animals)... but he loves it! Sunni Clutching toy

Sunni was our introduction to HABA. We had a circumstance where Sunni needed to be repaired due to no fault of HABA's. We didn't want to lose the toy so I called their USA offices and asked about repair services. HABA replaced Sunni, no questions asked.

Sunni's "rays" are moveable. My 12 month old daugher likes to clutch one of her rays and shake Sunni. There is a tiny bell embedded on the back of Sunni so when my daugher shakes it, she hears the clacking of the wood and the ringing bell. This is a great toy that brings some sunshine to your toy basket and a smile to your noise-motivated child. So glad we were blessed to have it replaced.

I originally bought this wooden toy for my 1 year old little girl because we needed a new teething toy and it is just so cute! Also, it is made by Haba (always a reliable company). Now that we've had it a while, we love it for multiple reasons:

The tiny bell inside jingles, but it's just loud enough to hear if you are holding it --in other words, it's not at all annoying.

It's durable. We've had it for about 4 months now and it still looks like new. The paint has not chipped off despite my daughter's constant gnawing/gumming.

Non-toxic

The "sun beams" move around so she can twist them and pull on them.

When we put it on a hard surface, it spins around like a top would. She thinks this is hilarious.

Highly entertaining (for my baby at least). She will sit and play with it for 15-20 minutes at a time and she carries it all over the house.

Small Saphron Stripes Organic Goose

Goose is not soft, fluffy, or squishable the way most stuffed animals for small children are, but he has a certain je ne sais quoi. There's just something tremendously appealing about this little guy; he's the only stuffed animal in the house that makes me smile when I see him. When he arrived, my boy (2) took one look at him, swiped him from me, and hauled him around the house for the rest of the day. My son now sleeps with (or, more likely, around or on top of) Goose every night.

We bought this for my daughter from Buy Buy Baby, not on Amazon. At the time she was 9 months old, she is 11 months old now. She likes it okay. We have several toys from Sassy that she LOVED. I think if she had been younger when we bought it she would have enjoyed it a lot more. One thing we liked is that after playing with this phone she did start to say, 'Hello' a couple of weeks later. This phone says, "Hello Baby" and some other things. I like how light the phone is, which makes it easy for her to hold. Younger babies will have no trouble with this. I also like how easy to buttons are for her to push, but all the buttons do the same thing which is boring. So it could be better but it is a cute toy and is great for the car since if she throws it its so light that it can't hurt anything, unlike some of the heavier lights and sounds toys she has.

My granddaughter is 10 months old and loves this. The price was amazing too. I purchased several items that were the Sassy brand and love them all.

This product was purchased from many choices. There were way cuter ones out there shaped like animals and such, but I purchased this one because it was less expensive. It is very sturdy plastic. The hook attaches to the wall of the shower/tub with very sturdy 3M tape. I installed it in approximately one minute (had to pull off the pesky back of the tape). I is still hainging and hasn't fallen yet...so far, so good.

I was very skeptical about any kind of product that used tape strips to stick to a wall in a very humid room...but this had good reviews so I tried it. It's a joke. Cleaned the wall, attached the sticky base and held firmly for about 3 minutes, then let sit for 24 hours until I hung the scoop on it. That night I am sleeping and hear this huge crash in the bathroom...yup it fell off. And it was not packed heavily, just those little rubber animals. Part of me knew there was no way these sticky strips would hold up, but I am still mad over this purchase and want to return it for a refund.

Organic Baby Blue Puppy Crinkler Toy

We happened upon this toy at my son's hospital gift shop. It was one of the very first toys we purchased for our son, who was born premature and weighed less than 2 pounds. Though he didn't start playing with it until he was 3 months old, it became his favorite toy. So much so that the crinkly paper inside wore out, thus necessitating the purchase of a second one from amazon. Now my son is a drooler, big time. And no doubt this toy got its fair share of drool lathered upon it. But we have only had the second toy for a month or so and the crinkle noise is already beginning to fade. We have bought other crinkly toys and for much less money that show no sign of fading, but for some reason my son likes this one above all. It is very soft and easily handled by his little fingers and hands. Overall, how can I really complain when my son will crawl across the floor to get his hands on his crinkly dog (we thought it was a fish until we went to buy the second one)?

Like the othe reviews have said... the activation switch is hard to press making it impossible for baby to do (my daughter tries over and over to her disappointment). My son is almost 6 months and LOVES putting the nose and ears in his mouth. The vibration must feel good on his gums. The issue is that it only vibrates in 5 second intervals. I have to keep pressing the nose over and over and over again! Cute and makes baby happy, but really annoys me!

This toy is very cheerful and fun, they have holes like a strainer and the water flow through in nice streams. I bought these for my baby when she started splashing around the tub (7 months old). She really loves the penguin and the walrus and plays with them even outside the bath. The toys are easy to clean and seem to be very sturdy. The size is perfect for my baby's little hands.

I got these bath toys for my 15 month old nephew, he loves to play in the tub. These toys are colorful and easy for him to hold. He loves to pour the water out and of course likes to let the water drip into the little cups so he can drink out of them.

They are a bit smaller than I expected. My son likes them, if I engage him with them, but quickly looses interest. I think if they were bigger he'd like them more.
