This Elmo book is a hit with my little one and she especially loves lifting the flaps on this soft book. She loves the colors and patterns, too. You just toss it in the washer it's great!

My baby absolutely loves Elmo and so this book seemed perfect for her. I'm happy to say I was right: this book is nice and soft and beautifully illustrated so my little one takes it everywhere and "reads" it all of the time. While Elmo is the main character of because he hides on each page, other Sesame Street characters are also featured which is fun, too. Another great, interactive, Elmo centric book that I would recommend for the Sesame Street/Elmo lovers is "Twinkle, Twinkle Elmo" (which is also available on Amazon for a great price).

Alex Jr. Tub Joy Quacky Cups Bath Toy (Colors may Vary)

I am always on the look-out for entertaining and educational tub toys for my sons; however, this is not one I would likely purchase again. The duck heads have an unsealed seam under the "bill" so water gets in, but is difficult to get out. The design does not allow them to nest inside each other well because the heads don't sit flush with the edge of the cup. The picture is a bit misleading, making the medium and small cups look deeper than they really are. I gave this review three stars because this toy, in my opinion, is "just okay". It does have some use in that it's quite a bit larger than I expected, holding enough water to use the largest cup as a rinse agent for hair-washing. My kids just don't get that much out of it. My youngest son vastly prefers this set of cups, Munchkin Caterpillar Spillers Stacking Cups, which is about half the price.

These toys offer plenty of bathtime fun for all ages. Our teething baby loves eating the duckie heads, but also likes unstacking. For us, it's the perfect way to splash her with water to keep her warm and get her hair wet. I highly recommend this product !

My daughter who is now twenty months old loves these ducks. We got them for her a few months ago and these ducks are her favorite bath-time toy. She is crazy about these ducks and they often make it out of the bathroom and into her playroom. I like how they always float in the tub and they help her explore water by pouring and draining. The Alex Jr. Tub Joy Quacky Cups can provide lots of entertainment for your little one in the tub. Little ones find it fun to fill the cups and then watch the water run through the holes. Additionally, the cups are quite useful for rinsing a little ones hair without dumping quantities of water onto the child's head. This can be very helpful when an infant is the child being bathed. The gradual shower of water prevents shocking the child when water is poured over him/her and allows the child to get used to gradually having water run down his/her face.

I did not rate this product as deserving five stars for several reasons. The quacky cups are made of hard plastic; this could easily be broken if a child enthusiastically banged the cup on the tub edge or threw the cup across the room. Yes, I know your child would never do that but some will. My biggest concern is that the edges of the tails on each cup were not finished smoothly and a small child might easily be scratched by running a finger along the seam. We took a fine file to the edges to smooth them off; I would suggest that one check the beaks as well for rough edges.

3 Boats In The Tub

Not the best design for a boat because the top fills with water and doesn't float properly. But my boys have these and have used them inside the bath and in their outdoor water table. They are durable and haven't faded in the sun. Overall good buy for the price.,

Though these boats are cute, and sized well for a childs hand, they tend to float tipped over. When they are tipped over, they dont connect together very well either. Bright, and cute, but overpriced.

Madame Alexander My First Baby - Powder Blue, 12 Inch

I love the look of this doll and really wanted it to work out. The doll arrived with a small hole in the plush fabric that unravelled very easily. I also have to agree with the other review that the plush fibers come out very easily. I expected better quality with it being a Madame Alexander Doll.

My one year old got this doll in blue for christmas. It has a very soft body and a hard head and hands. The hood slides back on the bald head. Super cute. She has played with it and slept with it for 2 months. I have even had to throw it in the wash with some other toys and bedding. It came out perfect. Nothing has come off or come lose. The perfect first doll.

I decided to order this Elmo for my 20 month old son mainly because it was one of the few that didn't have a slightly psychotic expression on his face. All of the others seemed to. There are 3 reasons I like this Elmo:

1) There is a reason this one pulls off a more agreeable smile: It is because the mouth is flat (doesn't open and close). I was slightly disappointed by this when I first took it out of the box because it was not what I was expecting, but quickly realized that that is what makes it look happier than the rest.

2) I thought the eyes were plastic, which was going to be a drawback for me, but they turned out to be material, which will be nicer for my son. One eye is slightly cross-eyed, but I think I can slightly train it into a better shape with my hands. It's already looking a little better.

3) The one thing I just love about this Elmo is that it is made of super-soft material. Along with the soft eyes, this is going to be a very cuddly Elmo, so I think my son will like it a lot.

I bought this toy after reading one of the previous reviews, which turned out to be very accurate. I received the plush Elmo today. The mouth is flat (not a drawback, just good for a potential buyer to know), the eyes are soft but sturdy, and the furry fabric is pleasantly soft. I like it, and my 11-month-old does, too!

The toy I received doesn't appear to have any of that shedding problem mentioned in other reviews. There was one errant long strand, easily snipped off, but that's about it. It says on the label to "hand wash in cold water, air dry." I tossed it into the washing machine (using a laundry bag, the kind you can put sweaters in) and set it on delicate cycle. Elmo came out of the wash okay, intact, and no shedding. I then put him in the dryer, regular cycle, in a laundry bag....and no adverse effects. No shedding, color still bright and vibrant.

Update after 17-month old received this toy: I SHOULD'VE GOTTEN TWO OF THESE THINGS, she LOVES it! Elmo was presented to my little girl today, and her eyes got really BIG and she dropped the puzzle she was playing with to run over and grab him! She went to every room with him (I think she was giving him a tour of the house) and took a nap with him...she almost forgot about her usual lovey! Elmo shared lunch with her (wiped clean with a damp paper towel), went on a walk (dusted off quite nicely after a few drops), and Elmo also came with us on a shopping trip today, and took a ride in my purse when I had to change her (good thing he's light and squooshy). She preferred to nap with both Elmo and her usual lovey, but at bedtime preferred to leave Elmo in her toy box. Guess she's saving him for daytime adventures. I should've gotten this sooner!

This is a great Elmo for a baby since he's just the right size, and has all soft parts. My only complaint is that my 9 month old can pull out his red "fur". She's pretty aggressive with her toys, but just something to watch out for. The one I ordered also had a rather strong chemical smell. After hand washing, however, it dissipated.

This Elmo is all soft which is great for kids though it isn't as great as the other Elmo we have (15" plush with hard eyes and open mouth) which looks much more like the Muppet. The size is good for toting around though. My daughter prefers the 15" plush with hard eyes. Have only had for a few weeks so can't comment on durability.

Banging the gavel during your mandatory hearing for sentencing the case where you allegedly assaulted a costumed fast food clown, who later required stitches and surgical removal of a seltzer bottle from an undisclosed bodily orifice, is not a good idea. The judge said something about me "mocking" her or something like that. I don't know, I couldn't hear her over the loud and amusing noise that the gavel made when I banged it on the defendant's table. I think I got something like thirty days in contempt. I tried to explain that I just like percussive novelty items, that I wasn't trying to be contemptuous, as they alleged. Until it was forcefully pried from my hand by that bailiff, I really enjoyed this novelty gavel quite a bit. Although it was confiscated from my person at the time of my incarceration, the intake officers informed me that I will be able to have it back upon my release.

I purchased this for my classroom. I teach social studies and we reenacted a trial that I needed a gavel for. It's certainly not loud since it's made of plastic, but it looks great. If you need something that is loud I suggest you look for something else, but if you need it just for looks and for playing this is a great option.

The product arrive nice and fast, and it's plastic. However, it's not thick plastic, it's pretty thin, and I can push in on it with my finger. It was cheap, so I guess you get what you pay for. I think this can be used as a good hand prop, but not functional.

Toddler Toy Pop Up Crawling Worm Tunnel

This toy has metal wire in it. That is ok. The problem was in many areas the seams weren't sewn properly and the wire is exposed.

I could see maybe one seam with a problem. But I counted at least 7 exposed wires and open seams. Dangerous for a child.

My 8 month old loves to crawl back and forth in this tunnel. She loves when we roll a toy through and she can follow after or when we simply place a toy on either end of the tunnel. I really appreciate the way the tunnel folds up and is put away and stored so easily. We are really pleased with the purchase!

Baby Self-feeding Bottle Straw - Stainless, 8oz

I don't understand why these starws aren't everywhere! My 8-month-old refused to hold her bottle up herself and we tried 3 different kinds of sippy cups with no luck. My mother remembered using "bottle straws" when I was a kid (30+ yrs ago) but I'd never heard of them until I found these. The only thing you should know before getting them is that the ring (top) of the straw must make a seal around the bottle neck. I ordered the regular straw (I had only Playtex bottles) and they were too wide for the straw. I then bought some Gerber bottles and the straw fits fine. I think they have a wide necked bottle straw but I wasn't paying attention when I ordered :) My kid LOVES it nad so do I cause now I have my hands back!

I had something similar to these for my now 25 year old when he was a baby. I purchased them for my 11 month old twin grandbabies. Unfortunately, they have become so used to tilting the bottle that when I tried the straws they became very frustrated, because they couldn't get any thing to drink.

I can't return the products because I used them. That is the only drawback.

Swimways Nemo Sun Canopy Float

I researched a lot of different floaties with sunshades before I picked this one for our 5-month-old baby, and frankly, I'm a little disappointed. Although our baby loves being in it, the leg holes already dig into his thighs when he leans back in the "seat" portion of the floatie. Also, the shade is made of the same blow-up material that the tube is made of, and it isn't ANYWHERE nearly as high as the picture makes it out to be. Our baby's head almost touches the shade when he's sitting in the floatie. It also isn't very wide and it doesn't stay up by itself (you have to keep a hand on it and keep adjusting it while the baby's in the pool), which is annoying.

Pros: Super cute, very safe (no chance a baby will fall out of it)

Cons: Poorly designed, sunshade doesn't really work

Our daughter got this doll when she was 6 months old and has loved it since. It's a perfect doll for cuddling and sleeping.

Although her colors are faded, she has held up through many washes and her dress is still soft a year later.

My little girl was given this doll when she was born. She and the doll are now almost 3 and they are still playing strong. Through all the washings and chewing etc. this doll has held up and stayed good looking. She won't put it down.

Magic Rattle 'n Ride Pooh

Santa brought this to our 8 month old for Christmas this year and she absolutely loves it. And true to form our older kiddos (2 1/2 & 7) love it too and will play with it long after the baby's gone to bed! What is it about baby toys?! I was concerned, however, about the rattle that comes with it for two reasons: 1. Will shaking it really make Pooh go again? Yep, it really does. 2. What happens if we loose the rattle? Not to worry, Pooh has a button in his foot that makes him go again too.

This was a fun toy for my son to play with, the rattle is not needed to make noise to make the turtle move, my son would just clap his hands. This toy encouraged hand and eye coordination.

My 1 year old loves this toy! Pooh sings and turtle moves. I thought it would go faster and it does not go on carpet. Otherwise its a good interactive toy. She learned really fast that she had to shake the rattle to make him go which is a good learning experience. When you do not use it for a little while pooh says goodbye you have to press his foot to activate him again then you can shake the rattle. Overall its a great toy, very Cute!!!

Wonderworld Counting Shape Sorter

I bought this for my daughter a little bit before she was ready for it and it ended up sitting on the shelf for a while. Now that she's 18 months, she's much more interested in it. Its one of the first toys she takes off the shelf and she'll play with it throughout the day. The colors are really bright & the little wooden pegs are really sturdy (she's turned the board upside down and stood on it countless times.) It's a nice toy for not only counting, but for shape and color identification. The only thing that confuses her a little is that is she turns the pieces different ways she can fit them onto the wrong pegs. All in all though its a great learning toy.

Fisher-Price Ocean Wonders Soothe and Glow Seahorse

My husband wanted to get our baby a Gloworm. His desire was based on what he remembered of them from many years ago. The current Gloworms are not nearly as nice as they used to be they play loud music and aren't nearly as cute.

When I found the Soothe and Glow Seahorse I was so happy! Firstly, it's cute, much cuter than the Gloworm models. Secondly, the music and sounds are also much much better the music is quality and the volume can be adjusted. The sea sounds are a nice touch as well.

Unlike the Gloworm, the Soothe and Glow Seahorse actually does help baby wind down with it's gentle music and ocean sounds. I would recommend this toy any day.

I purchased this seahorse around January 2008. I almost returned it because, although it's nice that the music plays for around 5 minutes (we timed 6 1/2 minutes), I didn't want to keep it if there wasn't a way to easily turn off the music without it playing all the way through. There is no mention anywhere on the box or in the manual that you can turn off the music other than by going inside the velcro and turning off the on/off switch (and who would want to do that and wake up the sleeping baby with the loud velcro?) Then, by accident, we found that if you press and hold the seahorse's chest for several seconds the music will gently fade and turn off. I called Fisher-Price and let them know so hopefully they'll add this information to the box and manual soon. It's a bit "head heavy" which makes it a little hard to handle. It's not machine washable like the original Gloworm, only "surface washable". Great product overall. It's so darn cute.

We first bought a gloworm. Piece of junk if you ask me. The Soothe & Glow Seahorse is FANTASTIC! It plays music for 5 minutes as well as soothing ocean sounds like waves & bubbles. My kids love it! It was purchased for my now 4 month old (we bought him the gloworm originally that hardly played a song despite following all the directions)but my 20 month old is constantly stealing it to soothe him to sleep as well. This makes putting my kids to bed a piece of cake I never have to struggle to get my 20 month old in bed he just jumps right in as long as I have glowie the seahorse!

I fully credit this seahorse with getting my baby to soothe herself to sleep. I began turning it on each night during her bedtime feeding (she would always fall asleep when nursing). After doing this for a couple of weeks, I was able to put my baby in her crib while she was still awake -as long as the seahorse was with her! There are a few reasons why this is such a great item for sleep association:

1. The light provides a gentle glow instead of a harsh glare.

2. There are two volume levels to choose from.

3. The music is VERY soothing.

4. After it plays for about six minutes, the light and the music SLOWLY fades away so there is no sudden silence to jar your baby.

My only complaint is that it doesn't play for a longer period of time. If it would play for 20 minutes or so, I think this product would be absolutely perfect. Nonetheless, I still believe this is a must-have item.

I bought the blue seahorse when my daughter was about 5 months old. It was her nap and sleeping toy/stuffed animal that only lives in her crib,so she learned to know this toy with sleep only. This also makes it great for trips. Once she see's it she feels more comfortable. She has grown very attached to this toy.

The seahorse has volume control which is great bc babies cuddle up to it and the music can be soft and not hurt their ears. As my daughter grew,she learned how to turn it on and off,great for cause/effect. As there was no actual measurement specified anywhere & the only detail provided was that it would fit a toddler between ages 1 & 2, I was initially hesitant to buy it. My daughter is small built & I bought this dress for her 2nd birthday. So I was really hoping this dress wouldn't be too big for her. This set of toys is perfect for infants. My twins love the ball. The rattles are easy to grasp onto. Very happy with purchase.

I bought this set for $9.43 and thought it was a great deal. That is, until the novelty of it wore off after the first day. My 9 month old will now only occasionally reach for this toy, and when she does, she only plays with it for 30 seconds. The small rattles come in handy to stash in the diaper bag, but they too only distract her for a short time. FYI, if anyone cares about color, the ones I received were primarily orange, not blue as pictured.

These ended up being kind of my sons first toys. He loves the twisted ball, is has rings that move along the wires and little balls that make noise on the inside. It's easy for him to get his little hands around, flexible and bright. The elephant one's head moves back and forth when you shake it, and it is also easy to grab, with the ears made of a rubber like material that is softer and easier to teeth on. The third piece is almost like a musical instrument, it looks like little cymbals. It is harder to grab, but is fun to shake around. These are incredible deals for only $10 a set. We love them!
