It DOES interact with the TV, for example in the "animal abc" game, the animals only change when you hit a key. It is a little slow, and I am not sure my 1yr old is seeing the cause and effect either. The cause and effect she does see is when she pushes the buttons on the sensor!

However the music part is great and she LOVES that. She plays and dances and has a great time.

The only real disadvantage is that it is easy to tip over. Now, she does have to intentionally push it, but she's a toddler, so what do you think she is going to do? And she then either gets it pulled back up but hits herself in the head OR she can't get it back up. (Depending on how and where it falls.) So you can imagine how frustrating it is for her. (Oh my! She just picked it up!)I wish it was heavier so she couldn't lift or tilt it.

I have similar issues with other Fisher Price toys. For some reason they can't figure out how to make a toy that doesn't tip. I usually find a way to modify the toy to make it more stable. If I find a way for this one, I will post it.

Firstly, I think it is important to state that I have only had this item for lest than a week. I will most likely add to my review after some time has passed.

My initial impression though is a good one. I bought this for my 10 month old son, so that he would have a fun toy to stand up and play with. The keyboard is of great quality, and the three other play buttons along the top are fun for him as well.

The only downside is that the interactive part of the toy that you plug into the TV is currently useless for us. The software is too slow, so there is a delay that currently makes it too difficult for my son to understand that there is any cause and effect happening. He much prefers it in either of the other two keyboard modes, so that he can hear sounds when he hits the keys.

Perhaps as he grows older we will find that the interactive part of the toy becomes usable, but as for now we will just enjoy making sweet music on the keyboard itself.

We took this toy out of the box and had it up and running in five minutes. Our intention was for our 11 month son to practice standing, but also have something lean on if needed. He loves our real piano, so we thought it would be perfect.

It is solidly built, and has great sound when used in stand-alone mode. Keeps my little guy interested for quite a while. The tv interaction has very smooth and almost un-noticeable transitions. For example the color keys will change the background color of the screen, while the animation stays the same.

However, my 3 year old daughter noticed immediately how the keys changed the colors, and she could change the animations using the trumpet slide or guitar roller to make slight changes in the animations and music. I had a hard time keeping her away from it so that my son could use it!

I had to put some strips of velcro on the rear legs, because when used in the upright settiing, it tends to slide all over the floor and my little guy would topple over. It surprises me that they diddnt think of this. After that slight modification it has worked hours without any incident.

My son is 15 months old and can run the remote for the TV, but this game does not hold his attention at all. He likes the keyboard, but the interactivity is so slow that he is bored with it before it is done loading. He is more entertained by manipulating the console, because that has a cause and effect. The actual games are useless. At first, I just thought it was broken because nothing seemed to be happening when you hit the keyboards, but no, it was just really slow. First it sits at the loading screen for at least 30 seconds. Then, after loading it just shows you a picture of some shape or animal. That's it. 30 seconds after that, you get to the 'game.' But you have to wait some more for it do anything. And then, after hitting the button, there is enough of a lag before anything happens, that my son is already off doing something else. All in all: FAIL.

Superman Romper With Removable Cape Superman

Very cute, a little cheap made (sewing), but it is a low price so we are happy much cheaper than making it myself. My son is 18 months, 30 lbs and around 35 inches tall, a heavy and tall boy it is a bit short in the legs but with shoes and socks it's okay, he will not be able to wear it much after a few months, we got the 1-2 years one just in case you are wondering about fit.

My son wore this for his first halloween. It's a little heavy for Florida weather, but he looked too cute to take it off. The snaps for the cape are difficult to put together, but will not come appart easily either. This costume is very durable.

This is a cute suit for a little boy. It seems to be cooler for child. No feet and no head make a big diffrence with this material. My only complaint is that the buttons for the cape and the suit itself are made of plastic and do not snap properly. I don't know why they couldn't put metal buttons just like jumpers and ones. Aside from that which can be corrected it is a good costume for small child.

The entire piece looks like something used from the goodwill. The front is alright, but still isn't what is pictured, the emblem is not at all that size and its embroidered. The fabric looks as if its going to peel after the first wash. And the biggest disappointment is the cape. First off, I couldn't even get the wax paper off the emblem, it's literally stuck to the decal. Secondly, it isn't even the correct emblem... I mean, since when was superman's logo completely yellow? I bought this with full intentions of loving it because my son's initials are DC but this is just awful, he will never wear this junk.

These "Little Taggies" are just such a great idea for babies! My grandson who received it when he was just 5 months old, and is now 8 months loves taking his naps with this. He will just lay for the first few minutes of naptime looking, and feeling and chewing on all of the different textured little ribbons. I've always watched little ones find the tag on any blanket and rub and chew.......how great to have a whole blankie of tags! I would recommend this item to ANYONE who has children or grandchildren in their care.

The taggie is cute, the only thing I didn't like was the color. I purchased it for a boy and it definitely looks more pink than blue....deceiving in the picture.

Aurora Plush Baby 6" My First Pet Carrier with Sound

This is an adorable little set, as are the other "Carrier with Sound" sets by Aurora. But, please take note that the names of the animals are NOT embroidered on their sides. I contacted Aurora directly when the Safari set arrived (I bought the Safari, First Pets and Barnyard Carriers) since I thought maybe it was defective since the names were missing. (I subsequently received the First Pet set without the names as well. The Barnyard set was from a different seller and must have been older since "COW", "PIG", etc. were labeled). I was informed by an Aurora representative that their new production of these toys lack the animal names embroidered on their little bodies. Why they would make such a change does not make sense to me... I informed the rep of my disappointment since the animal names were actually a selling point. Hopefully Amazon will update the product pictures so more customers do not have this same experience... Really a shame since having the names on the animals is a nice learning tool. My 11 month old son is able to understand and follow the instruction of, "No, press the 'w' and the cow will moo, not the 'c'". POOR CHANGE, AURORA.

Also, as for the sounds that this set emits when you squeeze the respective animal; the bird has a cute, realistic chirp, the cat an expectant meow, the bunny a sweet snuffling sound (wasn't sure before I purchased what sound a bunny would make!), the dog pants and barks, (though in my opinion, not the best representation of a dog).

My one and a half year-old received this as a present, and she loves it. I didn't know that they used to make the animals with the names on them, so I didn't miss this feature at all. This toy is perfect for traveling, and the animals are just the right size for her little hands. My three year-old son has also had some fun "sharing" this with her.

I had bought one of the farm animal and barn sets for my nephew. He loved it so much at Christmas that I got this set for a friend's daughters birthday. Everyone thought it was very cute.I was surprised at how natural the animal sounds are. I fear the squeakers may not hold up, but time will tell. As other reviewers have stated, it was disappointing that the animal names were not embroidered on the animals. They are SO soft though.

Now, I will have to get a set for my little guy when he is old enough.

My First Princess - Funtime Jasmine

I purchased the princesses in a hard plastic doll style. My little girl never plays with them hardly. She likes to hold and cuddle her toys, so I've slowly been purchasing them in their soft forms...they still have the plastic head, so the features more closely resemble the princesses over the dolls that are soft in their entirety. She tends to play with the soft dolls much more, and is able to sleep with them as well.

The costume is awesome and my son would look great in it, if it fit. I ordered the 1-2 year outfit, because my son is 16 months, and when it came the package said "size 1-2," which was followed by "for 2-4 years old, U.S. size" The size labeled "1-2 years old," is good for 2-4 years old.

The costume is cute but I had issues with keeping the velcro on the inside of the legs closed. I put sweat pants under it, because no one sends there kid out with no clothes under the costume, and they just kept flapping open. So, it made the costume look a bit messy. So, i put black sweat pants under it so you couldnt tell it was open. The head piece isnt attached to the costume. It's kinda good though. U cant tell once its on. and the cape sticks to the back of the costume with velcro also.

I bought this for my 10month old after a trip to the zoo. She has carried that silly car around for the last six months. The animals are a perfect size for her little hands. As a teacher I love the animal names stitched onto each animal. I think the noises on the giraffe and hippo could be more realistic... but this is a baby toy and my daughter doesnt seem to mind.

I gave durability a four only because my daughter has worn the batteries out of the elephant (It is her favorite because grandpa makes that noise with her). However, in saying that, I called the company up and told them that I could not replace the batteries (they are stitched inside the animal) and they are shipping me out a free replacement. Very excellent customer service.

I just found out there are three or four other sets of these toys. We will be getting the rest for our daughter for Christmas this year. I wish I could give them to her now!!!

UPDATE My daughter is now 2 1/2. I cannot explain how wonderful of an investment these sets of toys are to us. We have spent many HOURS playing and pretending and acting. We have most of the animal sets. She still plays with them to this day as well as her 7.5 yo sister. I would also increase the durability to 5 stars as we have had NO problems with any of the animals in any set. Enjoy.

This is really a cute set of animals. The sounds they emit are really big for such small little things. The tiger's roar freaks out my son a little bit (11 months old), but I'm working of trying to make it "funny" instead of scary, so I'm sure he will eventually get over it...

I was really disappointed when the set arrived and the names of the animal were not on the animals as stated in the description. I will reach out to the company when I have the time to see if we can do an exchange bc the names were one of the reasons I purchased the toy in the first place...

Overall, I like this very much and would recommend...

I was so excited to receive this item, we already have the Aurora barnyard set and my daughter loves it! I was so disappointed when I opened the (very cute!) carrier and squeezed the first toy, which happened to be the giraffe. It sounded like a terrified, screaming girl! Now, I am not a giraffe expert, but I do like to visit the zoo and have seen many a giraffe up close I have NEVER heard a giraffe make that sound. If I did, I wouldn't go near it! My husband was sitting right next to me when I squeezed it and he was alarmed, too!

Still, I had faith, maybe the elephant would be better? I took it out and squeezed. Um, no. Instead of the normal elephant sound (we all know what that is), it was again scary and shrill. There are so many cute elephant sounds out there (think Dumbo or Jungle Book)I can't figure out why they wouldn't pick something a little less frightening.

The tiger was next and I had started to laugh before I even squeezed its belly. Now this one was more realistic almost sounded like a recording of a real tiger letting out a big ol' roar. So yeah, acceptable, but after the first two, this toy was still getting high marks on the scary factor. A realistic tiger roar is good, but still unsettling.

The last one I listened to was the hippo. It makes a bubblig sound. Cute and purple (if they are going for realistic, as the animal sounds imply, why make it purple?) but just not enough to make me like the toy. Not a keeper in my book.

Bottom line if you have a child who likes to roar and is into scary animal sounds, this toy is great. I give them props for realism. I just don't think my 14 month old will enjoy it and even if she did, my husband and I wouldn't.

**Update: My parents were in town and saw this toy on the table where I was prepping to mail it back. Without me talking to them about it, they had the same reaction when they took the animals out! Terrible sound effects!**

I bought this for my 1 year old for Christmas. I was a little concerned with the size and knew it might be a little too big for her still. It is a little big for her right now. (She is small for her age...still in 6 month clothes) She's not able to ride it on her own yet, and it's even a little difficult for her to ride it even when assisted. I like this puppy because he is super cute and he's low to the ground so I know she'll be able to ride it soon. She enjoys petting it and playing with his crinkly ears.

My mother bought this for my soms's first birthday and he LOVES this puppy! If he's not playing with the crinkle ears, he's rocking on it or sliding across it. I purchased this for my 9 month son. He is big for his age30 inches and 24 lbs. This is a great size for him and he will be able to use it for a while. At first he liked me to support him as he sat on it, after a week or two he can sit on it unsupported and get off on his own. He cannot rock it himself yet so i will rock him or push him around. He also like to push it around as he practices walking.

It is a very nice quality toy. The stitching, embroidery and fabrics are great. The yellow and red stripe is a woven cotton, not the plush material the rest of him is made out of. The wood is sanded perfectly smooth and a nice honey color.

Over all, I think this will last a long time, it brings a sense of whimsy to the room, and my son loves it! Great purchase!

Thomas the Tank Bowl

Any Thomas the train fan will love this like my grandson does. The photo is not a decal which is perfect as sometimes overtime the decal will raise and bubble and then bacteria can possibly get in or no more Thomas the Train to view in the bowl. Perfect for my little one.

2 year old grandson loves it. Will not use any other bowl including his Cars bowl. High quality, washes easily. Do not microwave more than 45 seconds as bowl burns at longer time. This was a replacement for the bowl that came with a set and at 60 seconds bowl burnt and was no longer usable. They should have had a warning on the package on the original set.

This is a neat product concept. Our two grand-daughters enjoyed it. It has been handled & dropped many times, no real problem. The only flaw is that the "record" button is too easy for little hands to depress and hold ( that means: "erase" the recording). Overall a minor flaw.

Great, solid teether, but my 8 month old son has zero interest in it. I have tried to offer it every couple weeks and he would rather play with every other item in the house than this toy. Ugh!

LeapFrog Spin and Sing Alphabet Zoo

My ten-month old loves this toy. It has kept her attention longer then any other toy she owns. It has three musical settings which are pretty engaging to her. On one setting, the spinning of the ball is directly linked to the music, (the previous reviewer was right about it being one of the least annoying muzak in toydom), so when it stops spinningso does the song. So my baby girl stops whatever she has wandered away to do and goes back and spins it again. And again. And again.

Oh, bonus: it has volume control.

UPDATE: Three years later, baby girl #2 has proven how durable it is. She is somewhat more of a hard slapper then a spinner, but the little toy has held up well. I don't know what it is about this toy, but both my children really has gotten great use out of it.

This toy plays a really cute song that is quite catchy, to me at least. I also own the Leap frog alphabet one. My daughter (8 months) enjoys both but I think this one is more age appropriate for her. As with any toy they are not just going to learn the alphabet or differnt animals without some input on your part. My daughter enjoys any tow that she can spinn, so this was a no brainer.

Pros: Lots of different animal noises, cute and not annoying song, multiple setting for more fun/ learning.

Cons: The ball does not detach like the other leap frog learning ball. It is not as well made either. The other one is made of a soft rubber and is durable and easy to clean. This one is plastic and has a large sticker that goes around it. I haven't had much problem cleaning it so far(3 months), but with drool and a wet cloth to wipe it down I'm not sure how long the sticker will hold up. Also I know it is hard to find all animals starting with the correct letter of the alphabet and put a good noise to it, but some of them are just out there. For instance Umbrella bird, not a bad choice, but then put a bird noise to it instead of the random off the wall noise that they did, who cares if there are more than one bird noise on it.

Overall a really cute toy just wish it was a little higher quality like the other one that they made.

I originally bought this for my 6 month old son because it kept him engaged in the store while I shopped. Once we brought it home, I figured he would become bored with it. I am pleased to say he still plays with it 4 months later.

There are three song features. One that plays the ABC song while the wheel is spinning. One that starts "Spin, spin a letter..." If the wheel stopped spinning on the letter B, the lady's voice says, "B","B", and then a bird chirps. The third features animals that start with each letter of the alphabet. If the wheel stops spinning on the letter C, the lady's voice says, "CAT","CAT" followed by a cat's meow. The tunes are quite catchy and not annoying. My husband and I find ourselves singing the tunes as well. There are two volume options. When the ball is not spinning, no music is beging played, which is a great feature and it teaches cause and effect.

We have decided that this toy is indestructable as well. We use it on his high chair at times to keep him entertained while feeding him. I can't tell you how many times he has pushed this off his high chair, and we were certain it would break. It hasn't broken yet. Have only had to change the batteries. It is also easy to clean. The sticker with the letters and animals is glossy, so it is easy to wipe. The rest of it is hard plastic.

I would definitely recommend this toy! :-)

This toy is cute in the box. But it got played with maybe once. It doesn't hold any of my kids attention, and I have four of all different ages. It was a gift for a birthday, not something I would have bought. I try very hard to buy toys that my kids will really interact with because with four kids you have lots of toys, many that never really get used. Leapfrog makes many great toys that are educational and fun, but you still have to pick and choose for your kids personalities. This might be fun for a young baby, but not for much older than that.

This is my first review ever and oh how deserving this toy is!!! I love the Spin and sing alphabet zoo so much! I bought this toy for my daughter who is 1 year old. It was a Christmas gift. My daughter loves to carry it around the house and it seems very durable. My son is two and he loves to spin the wheel and to say the animals names. There is several ways to play and the music is catchy. It also has TWO volume selections which is nice. Now let me share one more funny thing about this toy. My daughter who is 6 and her cousin who is 12 love this toy too, I haven't had one person come over without giving it a spin. Its fun and educational and my favorite most played with toy. Bunnies by the Bay 15" Lullaby Crib Toy

We received the pink bunny and brown bear as shower gifts for our twins. These toys are made from wonderful, soft material and the bunny has lovely, silky ears. They each have a ribbon attached to their head/neck so that you can tie them to the crib rail when your babies are newborns so as not to introduce any additional suffocation risk. When you stretch them, they play a lullaby that is actually in tune and pleasant to listen to. Ever since they were 4 or 5 months old, we started letting the twins snuggle up to the toys rather than having them tied to the side of the crib. We lay them down, play the lullaby, and the twins fall asleep hugging them. My daughter loves to play with the bunnies silky ears while laying quietly, half asleep. The only reason I give these lovely toys 4 stars and not 5 is because they are surface washable only, which I consider a negative for any baby item. I often ignore the label on other toys and toss them in the wash anyway, but I suspect the music box in these would not survive such treatment.

Haba Mouse In The House Clutching Figure

I purchased this for my son when he was around 5 months old. The mouse makes a cute squeaking sound. He LOVED it then and now, at 10 months still loves the mouse. Would have given 5 stars, but I had to shorten the mouse's tail because it was a choking hazard.

I wanted to comment on the reviewer who said the tail is not a choking hazard. This is not a theory my son tried to swallow the tail and was literally choking on it. I caught it quickly and shortened the tail to about 2 in. long and this was never a problem again.

I still recommend the toy because he loved it and the issue is an easy fix.

The product is interesting, but the rat seems a bit too small and can be detached from the house. Prefer it to have a string secured to the house.

I bought this for my son when he was probably two months old. His older brothers (2 and 3 at the time) took it over. It's something that is loved by all the boys. A good sturdy toy, well made like all haba toys. I like haba toys because they last through lots of rough boy play.

The tail isn't a choking hazard. It'd made to strict European standards. We are getting another one because our puppy liked it. I guess the mouse was too much of a temptation for him. You can also purchase an extra mouse one jingles and one squeaks.

Batman Dark Knight Rises Child's Deluxe Muscle Chest Batman Costume with Mask/Headpiece and Cape

We ordered this for Halloween for my four year old. He is average build for his age.

The 2-4T should be called just 2T. It was the same size as the 2T costumes we've purchased elsewhere. It's made a cheap, polyester material like most Halloween costumes but is a little thicker and better stitched than those purchased at places like Walmart. If you are planning to purchase this for a sturdy 3 year old or any four year old (Unless they are a dwarf) I would recommend you buy the youth sized costume and get away from the toddler size. We had to exchange it for a larger size and were lucky to have ordered early enough to have time for the exchange to take place. Be sure to get your child a reflective belt or some sort of light to attach to them front and back. They completely disappear into the night with this costume. Even with glow-stick bracelets and glow-sticks hanging from his neck I had a very hard time keeping sight of him trick or treating in our suburb with large front lawns.

We also ordered the Canine Robin costume so my son could have his sidekick but upon arrival it was a size larger that we'd requested. We returned it but were told that the size we needed was out of stock so we were out of luck. I think it would have been better business practice to have the item listed out of stock as some other items on the web site. It really knocked the excitement out of this costume since the reason it was desired in the first place was that having matching costumes with his pup and that was not possible because of the out of stock issue.

I got this for my 19 month old. It's pretty big on him, but doesn't look too bad. He loves seeing the other Batmans, but out of all of the other costumes, I must say that this the the coolest. I do wish the muscles were the stuffed ones, instead the are this stiff stuff, that doesn't move all that well with my little guy, but he loves it. We switch out the cape/mask combo, occasionally with another plastic one that we found for $5 at Halloween City. Love the costume, and it has been very durable. He has already worn it a few times, and we are still good for our other Halloween parties coming up :)

The costume itself is great. Higher quality than I expected BUT (and this is a BIG but!) The sizing is horrible! I found this to be the case for another costume from this manufacturer as well. Buy at least a size smaller!

I bought this costume for my 6 year old son. He loves it! He is about 47" tall, and a medium was a teensy bit too big for him, but I think a small would have been too short! He wore it Halloween night, and ran all over. No tears, the mask and cape are one piece, separate from the rest of the costume. Very satisfied!

My 16 month old son plays with these blocks occassionally. He finds placing the smaller boxes inside of the larger ones quite enjoyable. One problem is that it's easy to lose the final two boxes because of there size. Apart from that, they are quite durable.
