My twins love this toy. They can use it on their own and it only makes small noises. The only down side is one seems to get his finger in the way when he pushes the tops down. I love the quality of tolo toys.My 18 month old received this as a gift for his 1st birthday. I agree that the buttons are too hard to push, they work great if he steps on them. It is indestractable, believe me he has thrown it, sat on it and stepped on it. Problem is, he could care less. We tried playing with him, naming the colors and shapes. One shot through the line-up and he was off looking for something else to do. In my opinion, it's just not interesting enough.Monday, August 18, 2014

Munchkin Five Sea Squirts
We first introduced him to the squirts when he was about 4 months old, and they actually frightened him. These toys hold quite a lot of water, and they pack quite a punch when you squirt them! He was really quite upset by how powerful the jet of water was, so I'd recommend caution when considering using these with really young babies.
Now baby is in his 7th month, and becoming used to all sorts of new things, and he's quickly had a change of heart about these toys. They're small enough for him to hold, soft enough for him to manipulate them himself, and he really enjoys having the water squirted all about. There's not much doubt about what his favourite toy is now!
So I'd definitely recommend these Sea Squirts for bath time fun, especially for older babies and toddlers. But they may take some getting used to for younger bubs, so use caution if your young one is under six months. Our 3 year old has had these squirters since he was a baby and he still demands the crab and turtle for his baths. As a baby I think he liked that they were soft and squishy and colorful. As a toddler he loves filling them with water and squirting them. When my niece visits, she loves the dolphin and octopus and together they have loads of fun squirting each other.
They are soft enough that my son can still fill them with water when he can't with other squirters. It's just a great, colorful set.

These are great toys not just for the bath, but whenever you need noiseless toys for a baby (when someone in the house is still sleeping at 6 AM, for example). I got a laugh out of the octupus--he has SIX tentacles!Read Best Reviews of Munchkin Five Sea Squirts Here
My daughter loves these toys and looks forward to playing with them in the tub every day. My only concern is the paint on the toys which is starting to come off because my daughter chews on everything. Overall very cute toys.Want Munchkin Five Sea Squirts Discount?
The toys look very cute. But I have big concerns about their safety. The paint smell was really bad when I took them out of the package. Not your average plastic smell, but rather oil-based paint. It subsided after washing and a week of airing out but never fully disappeared.
My child puts everything in her mouth at this stage, so I am not giving these toys to her.

Baby toy must have at my home. It so funny and enjoy my life. It's will be ceation for baby Brian. If this is the only toy we bought with us my DD is happy to play with it, but she doesn't seek it out. I have yet to get her interested in stacking the blocks but that may happen in the coming months as she just turned 1. I do wish VTech would learn to use softer tones and more songs as the high pitched repetitiveness is a bit much on some days.We bought this as a first set of blocks for our daughter. Even though she was too young to play by herself when she received it, she still liked to watch my husband or me stack them for her and to listen to the various stories and sounds it makes. She still loves it now that she is bigger (5 months) and can play with it on her own. One of the best toys we found to improve fine motor skills, and baby will have a good time for sure!Monday, July 7, 2014

Symphony in B Music Toy
12/9/12--It's up to $49.99 at Target, but $84.99 on Amazon? So much variation in price...We all LOVE this toy....and as the other reviewer noted, I have as much fun playing with it as my 2 year old daughter does. There are so many ways to learn with the toy as well at the most basic level: colors, shapes, sounds -but also an exploration of melody vs. harmony, woodwinds vs. brass, not to mention all the wide variety of instruments (koto, accordian, and sitar to name some of the more exotic options). The pieces themselves feel great to the touch (and I can imagine a child who is sensitive to those types of things would really find them particularly engaging). The shape-sorter element is a little tricky (even for me sometimes ha!), but a nice challenge. The quality of the sound itself is very rich and not tin-like or electronic-sounding at all; it really sounds like you have an orchestra in your room! The song selections are varied and engaging (from beautiful classical classics to standard childrens' songs you can see a list of them all if you visit B. Toys' website). I will note that this toy can be purchased for almost twenty bucks cheaper at target. My other caveat is that although ours has never broken it can be finicky and take a little jiggling (turning on and off, with fingers crossed) before it works (and there is a sticker on the toy which acknowledges this and provides recommendations). The company seems really great and has advised that if you lose a piece, they'll send you a new one but there is a great storage section in the back where all the pieces fit. If you google "please mom toys symphony in b" you should be able to get more info and there's a demo on b. toys' website too. It is a pricey item, but if you're buying it as a gift for two kids to share or as a special birthday/christmas present, I think you'll be happy with it in the long run. We are!!! Almost a year later (I think?): we still love this, but I only take it out once in a while because I'm nervous about all the pieces. My 32-month old really just likes the music though the fact that she can click the demo button and change the songs...and then she stacks up the instruments...I don't think she's getting the full value of it yet, but I like to play with it myself. Note the current price here of nearly a hundred bucks is insane. I think it's thirty at target.

I am 35, and I had so much fun playing with this toy (my mom bought it for my daughter, who is not old enough yet to play with it). The ages recommended should be 3-83Read Best Reviews of Symphony in B Music Toy Here
This is an amazing toy with one serious flaw, and that's the DEMO button. My two year-old instantly realized that to hear the music, just push the DEMO button.
This cancels out the PLAY button and any ability to add/subtract instruments, which is the entire point of the toy.
So, if you're handy and have size small and extra-small phillip screwdrivers, razor knife and pliers, then here's a "hack":
1. Flip it over and remove the batteries for safety.
2. Remove every screw on the bottom except for the ones appearing to hold the speakers.
3. Carefully lift the base off and you'll have access to the little circuit board that holds the DEMO button.
4. Remove that little circuit board and the DEMO button will fall out.
5. Take a razor knife and cut out the guts of that button, like you're taking the seeds out of a melon. I cut the four lines of plastic, then used a pliers to twist it out.
6. Put everything back together and Voilá! the DEMO button is deactivated.
And it is now a perfect toy!
One criticism-
The batteries included with the toy last about two weeks.
So if your toy starts glitching and you think it's broken, it's probably the batteries.I saw this in a store and knew I had to get it for my kids. They love it, but I play with it even more than they do. It is truly outstanding. The songs are great and the sound quality is wonderful. I love that the accompanying instruments play different melodies that are like listening to completely different songs. I want to buy one of these for every kid on the planet.

Billy Bob Two Front Teeth Baby Pacifier, Pink Lips
I recommend getting this for a baby shower gift, I know the gal who I saw get it was delighted by it and her son now gets a lot of giggles from strangers when they are in line at the store and he looks over his mother's shoulder to greet the person behind them with a "big toothy grin." For those of you out there with a sense of humor, this is a great item; for those of you without a funny bone, I am sorry for how boring and offensive everything must seem to you.I bought this for my son and people LOVE it! I am asked all the time where I bought it from cuz they want to get it for their grandchild, niece, nephew...ect I often think Amazon should pay me for the amount of word of mouth I have given on this product... I think if you have a sense of humor and don't see it as some slam against humanity (as some reviewer has) than you'll love it, I think if you do have a problem with it you probably aren't even bothering looking at the product page and or its reviews.

I bought this because it was a great price and I thought it was a cute gag and perfect for Halloween. It came quickly, which was great. The issue I have is the nipple is HUGE and would only work for a much older baby. My baby is going on 6 months and is normal for her size. She can't suck on it, it is so big so we can't use it. But it's cheap and cute, I just wish they'd be more descriptive on the size.Want Billy Bob Two Front Teeth Baby Pacifier, Pink Lips Discount?

She got this toy for her birthday and just loves it. It keeps her occupied the whole time while I am getting ready for work. Her favorite side is the shapes. A good value for the price.Read Best Reviews of Tolo Toys Musical Shape Sorter Here
i purchased this when my child was a few months old. she loved it because of the sounds of the animals. as she got older she enjoyed putting the pieces in their places. i have returned it twice because it doesn't work. each time i change the batteries but it still doesn't work. i will return the second and call it quits. the concept is great and when it works it's good but now my child is 18 months and it frustrates her.Want Tolo Toys Musical Shape Sorter Discount?
My son is 12 months old and has been playing with this toy every day since he was about 10 months. It's extremely versatile usually he pulls the shapes out and uses them as rattles, or plays with the beads on the back.We got this used, so maybe it's because of that, but two of the songs play at almost half speed have you ever heard Pop Goes the Weasel played as a dirge? I never put it on the music setting because of that, but maybe it's only that way after lots of hard use (though the rest of the toy is like-new).
Overall it's a great toy for him, with lots of different things to do, and I don't anticipate him outgrowing it quickly.

International Playthings Earlyears Sweet Baby Blocks
CORRECTION: As one of the comments pointed out, phthalates are the dangerous component of PVC (which I didn't know when I wrote the original review), and this claims to be phthalate-free PVC (I checked, there is such a thing), so presumably it IS safe for babies after-all. I changed my rating accordingly.I have been hunting for these b/c I use them all the time with toddlers with developmental delays. Stacking is an important motor skill for eye-hand coordination. These are large enough to allow success, and b/c they are rubber, they don't slide off each other.
I also use them for speech. Up is an easy early word, and you can say up up up, boom in play over and over. Then, you can pause while stacking each one (hanging on to the stack so the child doesn't boom them ahead of time), count to three before saying "up" to put the next block on. If you've made this up-boom game fun, your child so wants you to hurry and do it that he/she will start saying "up" before you to get the tower built faster. The blocks also have typical early animals that can be named over and over in play, along with the animal sounds.
I'm ordering a set for work and a set for my granddaughter.

I am not so sure but seems to me that if my daughter bites these blocks, she starts to have tiny little red dots on her face (around her mouth and her cheeks). I now don't give her these blocks to play anymore. I guess I will wait until she grows a bit more then throw out for her to play again. Hope she is not allergic to these blocks. FYI, my daughter skin is not sensitive at all. She has never any skin problem (rash...) with wipes, soap, detergent, diaper...Other toys I purchased did not cause any problem (she bites all of them though). She was 4 months old when I gave her these blocks. She was at the stage that she liked biting everything she had in her hands. I guess I will try these blocks again when she is around 7 months old and see. But be aware that your child can be allergic to these blocks like my little princess.Read Best Reviews of International Playthings Earlyears Sweet Baby Blocks Here
I was so excited when these arrived. The package looked great and the blocks were so cute. But as soon as I opened the plastic pouch the smell was overwhelming. These blocks have a terrible plastic/chemical smell. They really are worse than most dog toys. I tried to soak them overnight in soapy water...but not only did the smell not diminish, but you can't get all of the water out of the blocks. Since they aren't bath toys I knew they would get mildew or moldy with water stuck in them, and since I won't give these stinky things to a baby, I tossed them. I would not reccommend these.Want International Playthings Earlyears Sweet Baby Blocks Discount?
I can stand the smell of this vinyl blocks, and why they make a hole in them? Baby's saliva will accumulate there and cause bacteria and mold developmentThursday, January 2, 2014
Power Wheels Disney/Pixar Toy Story 3 Lil' Quad
He instantly loved it! it is perfect for his size and he learned to drive it in a few minutes.
The disadvantage is that it can't go reverse, but i don't think at this age the kids will be able to maneuver it anyways.

I bought this item for my grandson for his second birthday and I placed it in our living room which is fairly big and I let him dicover it. He likes little trucks and anything with wheels! Once he saw the little atv he jumped on it (mind U I didn't show him it was powered) with his full safety gear he likes hats and knee pads witch helps and makes it easy to let him have at it.. So when he discovered the Go button is eyes lit up like spot lights and you could see his excitement and his response was Woah! After that I spent the whole day following him around the house, out front, out back, down the street, up the street, etc... I was impressed how that little battery out lasted him but when he went to sleep I charged it over night and the next day early (why do they wake so early?)he was up and we did it all over again great toy for a little boy or girl I guess! His dad got him home and called and told us that he wont get off it but it goes all day and I told him it's best to charge it up when he's recharging (resting) because you dont want the little guy not to have his wheels. It's just fast enough but I see in the future he's going to need something just a little more speedy, but that's what grandpa's are for.. Just got these today---bought the version where the largest bowl is red. My 7th month old was immediately drawn to them(threw his teething biscuit aside!) and with gasps and squeals began rolling, banging, and chewing on the bowls. Beautiful design, nice rounded edges. Thought they would be a bit larger, but the bright, saturated colors make up for it. Was initially going to buy the Fisher-Price plastic version but decided to splurge on a longer lasting, higher-quality toy.I hesitated to buy these at first because they were expensive, but I am glad that I ended up going for it. My 12 month old has been playing with them for about 3 months now and still loves them. This is a great toy to explore size relationships and, since everything goes in his mouth, I appreciate that the dyes are non-toxic. At first, some parts of the wood were a little rough, but those spots quickly evened out after some use with no harm done.Want Grimm's Set of 5 Small Wooden Stacking & Nesting Rainbow Bowls, Blue Outside Discount?
When I first got this item, I thought it was rather small and would get lost amongst the rest of the toys. Boy, was I wrong! My son will pull everything out to get to these bowls, well cups. He crawls around the house with one of them at all times. he loves to clang them on our wood floor, and clack them together. I feel that since they are dyed and not painted this makes the item more qualitynot prone to chipping from all the abuse.Monday, October 14, 2013

This toy is terrible. It has such a fabulous concept, but you literally have to PUNCH it to hear the noises (and half the time that doesn't even work). My toddler gets so frustrated that he can't do it himself (he's 2) and it tires my arm to do it over and over for him. It's really a shame because my son loves Brown Bear and this toy is such a great idea. I just can't imagine why the manufacturer created something that is so difficult to play with.
