I bought this for my Great Grand-daughters for Christmas. When we received it Grandpa and I had so much fun with it we thought of keeping it for us. It was great exercise for us, we tapped out songs we got from a apt on our Kindle. But, I eventually wrapped it up and gave it to them. They have had a lot of fun playing it, as have their parents and others that visit them. I highly recommend this to anyone, adult or child. It seems to be very sturdy, my older Great Grand-daughter, who is 7, has had all her little friends stomping on it and it is holding up well.

Mary Jo Gardener is super cute and super fun! She's got buttons and a zipper on her overalls (neither of which is that difficult for a child to manipulate, contrary to a previous review). One shoe has a snap strap; the other shoe has a Velcro strap. The flower on her hat attaches with Velcro, and her hair and hat (which is an integrated part of the doll and does not come off) have ribbon ties. The ribbons are sewn on so they can't get lost or swallowed by a curious toddler. The overalls come off and are therefore washable; the shirt might be a squeeze, but it's probably doable. (She doesn't have any undies.) Her hat brim, buttons, zipper pocket, and shoes are more of a hot pink than the purple-y magenta shade they appear to be in the photo. She's very soft and snuggly for a little one to hold. My niece can't put her down!

I purchased this doll for my Mom. She has Alzheimer's and is very hyper and fidgets all time. I thought this would keep her busy. It worked, not only does it keep her busy it calms her down. It's very durable. Everyone wants to touch it, it's so cute. I'm very happy with the doll.

I got this for my daughter when she was 20 months old. At the moment, for the most part, she's more interested in hugging it but she has been able to do the zipper and velcro. The buttons are pretty tough. It's still early yet so I'm sure she'll learn soon enough. The doll's outfit's cute and good for teaching but it has a strange looking face. My daughter doesn't seem to notice that though.

Bought this for my granddaughter, she loves it. Word of warning however -the flower on the hat is only velcro'ed on and comes off easily. It could present a choking hazard if your child still puts things in her mouth. Mine does; the flower has been permanently removed.

My son received Lettersaurus as a gift many months ago. He loves the toy now as much as he did when he first opened it. He certainly has his favorite songs but, generally, he tends to listen to nearly every song available (of which there are 27). What is most remarkable is that he continues to return to this toy time and time again. I must say that I am a bit puzzled by some of the critical comments. Surely, touching the top if the head does invoke the ABC song. I assume this is by design since the Lettersaurus's crown is a button, and, yes, pressing it does invoke content. As for the "Exit" for X comment, perhaps this parent isn't familiar with the teaching of phonics. Exit is one of several words that precisely express the sound of the letter X. A cursory search of your friendly internet would make this clear if you hadn't already learned this on your own. I guess you can teach the children but who is going to teach the parents?

In any event, I see no decline in my son's interest in this toy and consider it one of the staples of his (considerable) collection of learning toys.

My 16 month-old loves this toy. She loves hearing the ABC song and dancing to it. I like that on the song mode, there are 26 unique songs and they are surprisingly pleasing melodies for a children's toy. I also like that there's a letter and color setting to mix things up a bit.

But I'm pretty sure our Lettersaurus is past his prime. We've had issues with him from day one. Sometimes, my daughter will be in the middle of playing with him and he'll just start making this obnoxious steady beep which only goes away if you turn him off then back on. Lately, he sounds like he's gagging at times, "ruh ruh ruh ruh ruh ruh ruh ruh". I checked the batteries, which are fine. I find that letting it sit and "cough it out" (aka sit there and make obnoxious noises for minutes by itself) usually remedies the problem for the a while.

I do have to give this toy some credit, though. He's always getting dropped and thrown on our hardwood floors and he's still in one piece.

Unfortunately this cartridge is pretty bad.

1. The buttons are very non-responsive

2. The sign language is not clear

3. The games have little interaction with the child

The response time is slow when a button is pushed and the games are too confining. My son doesn't like it as much as the one that came with the unit.

The original game that came with the unit is very responsive because something always happens when a button is pushed but, not so in the care bears version.

Also, the baby sign language is not clear because the hands are too small and it's hard to see what sign they are demonstrating.

K's Kids Learning Shoes on Little Feet

Munchkin Twisty Figure 8 Teether

My DD loved this toy/teether when she was younger--and every now and then you could catch her dad or I twisting it around, too :) For the price and entertainment value I think it is a great thing to keep in your diaper/travel bag--lots of texture, movement, color and fun in such a little package! I have bought a couple as gifts for new moms since... all thank me and say what a great gift it is, and they never would have thought to buy it or ask for it.

Only drawback for me--cleaning it. There are tiny little gaps in between the pieces that twist, so for me I didn't think a run through the dishwasher was good enough. I usually boiled it for 5-10 mins or so every couple of days in addition to the dishwasher... but maybe I'm just a little OCD! Package says not to dishwasher/boil it, but I didn't have any issues from doing so.

I bought this from Babies "R'' Us when my son started putting everything in his mouth. The teether has 4 soft rubber sections, each with different textures. It also rattles and can be bent in a number of different ways. The teether is easy for my son to grasp and twist. He enjoys chewing on the rubber sections and likes to throw it to hear rattle sounds. The teether is very easy to clean, just hand wash and air dry. It is small enough to throw in the diaper bag and entertaining enough to occupy my son during car rides, doctor's office visits, etc.

But the baby seems to have a good time biting this one and waving it around and smacking himself with it. Baby likes it; it gets on my nerves. But I give it 5 stars because baby likes it.

I saw the rubber-looking sections of these and thought it would be chewy. It's not. For the most part the whole thing is hard plastic. Some of the sections have a different texture or coating (like a thin rubber coating) but my baby didn't care for this at all. It's fairly large, relatively heavy, and frankly it felt more like a toy than a teething ring. I tried over and over again to get her to use this, but she would put it down after a few seconds every time.

In the end, the Vulli rubber teethers were what she liked best. Nom nom nom chewy goodness.

BRIO Magnetic Stacking Train

I thought it would be cool to teach our little boy about how magnets work with this train, however it's not as easy to get the magnets to stick to the base of the train as one would think. There is only one side of each of the pieces that attaches magnetically to the train's base. So that means you have to try up to 6 surfaces to find the "sticky" surface. Seems like a simple thing but it's kind of annoying. Wouldn't have bought this had I known this.

At first one might think that magnets would make wooden blocks easier to use. However, I find the opposite to be true. The age recommendation is 12 months +. My son is 13 months, and is far from figuring out how magnets work.

As an adult, I find myself enjoying fiddling with the train, but mildly irritating that there is no way to predict how the symmetrical blocks will fit together. I actually enjoy the non-magnetic Haba Fantasy blocks I got for my son better.

It seems like a high quality product.

I Might recommend the train for:

1. An older child who may benefit from learning about magnets.

2. A child who already likes regular wooden blocks and might like a variation and challenge.

I purchased the magnetic stacking blocks about 1 1/2 years ago for my child (now 2 1/2). I loved the idea of children having beginning blocks that could actually stick together and not immediately fall down. These are very well made. Because they are magnetic with one side "positive"/ one side "negative", I put a tiny permanent marker dot on the positive side of all the blocks. My daughter immediately picked up on this (at 12 months, they are more observant that we think sometimes) and that did the trick. She knew how to stick them together. They stick together well enough on the floor but if picked up too vigorously, or with too many stuck togetherthey come apartlots of fun for the child as well. Her main issue was that there were not enough to really feel like they can build something as they get older so I bought a second set and this train. It works great for us.

If you have an older child, the discovery of how the magnets repel or attract will be interesting, but if they are younger most likely just frustrating so I suggest the dot idea. It is a safe beginning magnet set because there is no way the child can access the magnetit is inside the shapes.

Today I watched my son play with all the balls. Of course he threw them out of the dragon, hug the dragon around the neck, pull on the ring, and touch all the scales. My son is not even 9 months and he loves it.

Its great for kids who don't yet know how to sit on their own. The tail provides a soft place to land. The balls provide additional stability. He can fall forward, back, side to side with out hurting himself. In the first 2 days he played 40m each time in it.

I purchased these for my store and when my twins (boy/girl 3y) saw it they had to have it. They especially enjoyed putting the bugs inside the lantern. It doesn't come with the net, you purchase it separately. It makes real insect sounds. I have to remember its just their toy because I start checking my windows to make sure no bugs got in. Fantastic toy.

This would be a good toy...if there was a way to turn the bug noises on and off. When the lantern is on, the bug noises are on. Which is fine from time to time, but not all the time. Even my 2 year old asked me if there was a way to turn the crickets off; my husband wanted to throw this out the window after 15 minutes of consecutive very fake sounding loud cricket noises. The lantern itself is nice and the included bugs do project a slight shadow on the back of the lantern and to some extent, the walls (if the room is pitch black). There isn't much educational or imaginative value to this toy and it does get old fast. There really should be two switches and the noise switch should include 2 levels of volume (low and very low would be best). The lantern automatically switches off after a few minutes of use great for conserving battery, but don't try to use this as a nightlight since your child will call you back into the room after every few minutes, begging you to turn it back on (15-20 minute timer would have been better). Can't recommend, unfortunately.

This is such a cute toy. Although it's rated for 18 months + I bought it for my 8 month old grandchild and he loves it. Initally, when we turned it on; he didn't know what to make of it but after watching it a couple of times --in action --he scooted all over trying to catch it and when he did, he smiled that million dollar smile. I think he'll enjoy it for a long time.

This toy is cute and funny and silly, and it will bring a huge smile to the face of your toddler, guaranteed.

That being said, be advised that it is made of solid hard plastic, not soft or squishy in the least, and it weighs about three poundsheavy enough to make an impact, but not so heavy that a child can't lift it. Be advised also that as the batteries start to die, it takes more than a gentle push to get the thing going; you have to actually pick it up and throw it down on the floor. Thus, when you are sitting on the floor, and your child picks it up and slams it down, and connects with your ankle bone, and you are subsequently rolling around in agony, remember not to use any profanity, and not to blame the kid. It's just how the thing works.

Everything you read in the other reviews are true. The top of this "stuffy" is a hard plastic case for the light to shine through. We were fortunate enough to have tried these at a cousins house and my daughter fell in love. I took extra caution to make sure we ordered one that displayed the constellations on the ceiling (vs just a glow light). It is wicked cool and I enjoy looking up at the stars as we cuddle at night. Best of all, in exchange for this constelation night light (which only glows x 45 min) my daughter gave up her contiously burning night light. It is a wonderful transition.

Maison Chic Blankie

This product was smaller than I anticipated. However I did not read the measurements prepurchase. The head is about the size of a half dollar. It is large enough to be safe and is not a choking hazard. I love the colors, paterns, and textures.

My only reason for 4 stars is I wish it were bigger! It was a little deceiving calling it a blanket. It's more like a lovie but I was hoping it to be a bit larger. Other then that it's super cute and fingers crossed my 1 year old will enjoy it as much as I do!

This is a really cool toy for little ones. Got it for my nephew (1yr), while he kept tossing it around a hard floor with no damage, the 3 yr old seemed to find it most entertaining. This is the cutest toy I have seen in a long time and definitely a keeper. My son finds it intriguing that it moves like an actual vehicle and doesn't capsize when pushed, even though it doesn't have wheel balance (one in front and 2 at the back). The wheels are real smooth and do not scratch my hardwood floors. It continues to withstand many a toss and it still manages to look new and does not fall apart like other toys have. And, it's eco-friendly! All kinds of win. :-)

I like that this little vehicle is a little more unusual than the normal firetruck and dumptruck. The item is well made and I like the rubber covered wheels. It moves very easily on wood floors and carpet. We have several of these little vehicles, (including the firetruck and dumptruck)

just gave this to our 2 yr old son and he won't part with it! the rubber wheels make for easy rolling on any type of surface. my husband commented that he thought it was a little pricey but then again it is so much better than the plastic pieces of junk in the toy stores these days! well worth the money i say. we will be collecting them all!
