Baby Einstein Music and Discovery Travel Mirror

This is an awesome product with lots of settings to choose from. It is probably one of the best purchases I have made for my little one besides the tiny love take along mobile.

I don't necessarily use it as it is intended, but it still does the job of entertaining my little guy and fulfills the tracking lights requirement I was looking for. We haven't had the opportunity to use it in the car as of yet since he is still in the hospital at seven months old now, but it still works. I use the strap to affix it to or over the hospital tv, this makes it even easier to set it up no matter which direction he is facing in his bed because of the swivel arm the tv is on. I love that we can set it for up to as long as 60 minutes of music. That way even if a nurse sets it she doesn't have to worry about it going off and needing to be reset every ten to fifteen minutes.

I noticed someone mentioned it is too loud. I thought that was just me being overly sensitive because of his situation. I quickly remedied that with a piece of cloth tape over the speaker.

All in all, it might not be for everyone. But I love that it has different settings and options. In my opinion that gives it more longevity and an opportunity to grow with him. Who knows it may become a staple just like the tiny love take along mobile and help us make the transition from the hospital to home.

I hope this helps someone else who might be in the same sort of situation we are in. I was discouraged at first when I couldnt' find a way to attach it to his crib and not be in the way of the doctors and nurses. I was so determined to use it that it finally occured to me. That has also helped me to look at all of the toys I browse through in a different light. I try to think of other uses or how they can be modified or adjusted to meet our needs.

I got this for my grandson to take in the car but it is so easy to use in so many places and I love that you can set the timefor it to play on 4 different settings!!!

I originally had the Fisher Price lights mirror, but the music and lights only lasted around 10 minutes and the remote only worked sporadically. That's when I decided to purchase this one. We LOVE it!

The timer can be set for up to 60 minutes, which is perfect for the trips I use it for.

The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it isn't designed to act as a mirror for the driver. It doesn't have any way to slant it so that you can see baby from the front. My husband was still able to rig it to work =) but it would be better if it had the verticle adjustment like other similiar mirrors.

This product plays the great Baby Einstein music that we all know. It does get really annoying in the car if you let it play past the 10 minute mark though.

The "button" on the bottom are deceiving though.. i thought they were interactive but they are just lights that flash back and forth for the baby to look at. The mirror has no buttons for the child.. just the on/off button on top for the parent (the sun).

The mirror attached easily to my back headrests in several positions easily and hasnt slipped off yet.

I set the mirror up in several locations and i still can't fully see my sons face in my rear view mirror without leaning forward toward my mirror. Even then i can just barely see his face in the corner of the Baby Einstein mirror. We have the Britax Marathon 70 and the side of the headrests block a great deal of vthe view when i turn around to see him, so this mirror does help with that.

Poor quality mirror and the music and lights are really loud and fast. I would recommend looking for another mirror.

My First TAGGIES Puzzle

This is a nice toy for kids, like my 8-mo. old, who love inspecting the tags on everything. The toy is very soft and light making it easy for her to hold, flip and inspect. She's already been enjoying this toy for more than a month and she's just now beginning to show interest in the puzzle aspect. So I expect this one will be around for a while.

This toy is also easy to wash. I just threw it in the washing machine in a lingerie bag and it came out just like new.

My son loved his Taggie blanket and I was really hoping that he would like this. Honestly, he has never played or had any interest in this. I am hoping as he gets older he will like this.

The only thing I was disappointed with was that the tags weren't different textures. All but one or 2 are the same feel, just different print. I think it would have made it even better to have each tag to have a different feel to it.

Fisher-Price Amazing Animals Press & Go Crocodile

I bought this for my 5 month old son for his first Christmas. We took it in the kitchen and watched it go.. and he LOVED it! It moves fast and goes about 5 feet and the alligator jaws "chomp" while it is in motion. Tried it on the carpet, but the effect was not good as it only moved about 1 foot in distance.

My one year old recieved this for his birthday and loved it! He has no problem pushing the little bird to make him roll away.

Imaginarium Foam Building Blocks - 100 Pieces

When my daughter was 1 we purchased wooden blocks for her. On more than one occasion the blocks managed to get under feet and injure someone in the household. That being said, we gave away the wooden blocks and purchased these. We've had them for four years and they are still in great shape. They have had hours of play. They stack well, retain their shape and color and don't hurt when you step on one. This was one of our best purchases for our daughter, who still plays with them.

The product is not as described. It is described as 100 Imaginarium Blocks but the blocks are made by Verdes. They are smaller and less colorful than Imaginarium Blocks. Also, they cost $44.99 and you can get 100 real Imaginarium Blocks at Toys R Us for $22.99.

This review is based on my Toys-R-Us branded set of the Imaginarium 100-piece blocks.

These blocks are durable and colorful. However, they are not uniform. The blocks are uneven sizes, perhaps 1/4" different between pieces. Big deal you say? The problem is that my 3-year-old is enthusiastic about building towers and castles but she can't get a structure of more than a few pieces tall before it falls.

I gave it a shot and did only marginally better than she did. Since the blocks are not identically-sized, any building made with them leans after stacking two or three on top of each other.

In my opinion, it is a detriment to have the child play with these because she thinks it is her own fault the tower falls down.

My recommendation is to buy a higher quality set or wooden blocks.

my son just doesn't get it. we have had it since he was 3 months and he is now 11 months. I bought it because I thought he would like to chew on the antena. But he has maybe once.

It is really well made, nice materials an had crinkley leaves and a bell. It has held up to numerous washings (he has spit up on it quite a few times) and still looks brand new. No fading or pilling. I would reccomend trying it out. It does look fun and anything haba is GREAT

VTech - Touch and Learn Musical Bee

Both of my kids love this toy. My two year old got it for her first Christmas and my second child just discovered it and also loves it. I love that it has both the play and the sleep modes and that it is noise activated to help lull the kids back to sleep. I only have one complaint-it goes though all the quiet and soothing and just when your child relaxes it says "Bye-Bye" quite loudly. What's the point in being quiet and relaxing if it's just going to wake them back up for you? Other than that it is a wonderful toy.

I bought this bee after watching my three month old play with it at my sisters and immediately taking to it. She LOVES her bee and she quickly learned how to push the button in the middle. The bee plays music and has a voice of a little girl which mesmerizes my little one. It has a day and night mode. The night mode is great to calm my daughter down. She does a pretty good job of holding onto it in her bouncy chair. She loves to chew on her antenna and she quickly learned to reach for the bee. It is the first thing she ever reached for big milestone. I would definitely recommend this bee as a first toy.

My 5 month old is still too little to push the buttons or to really benefit from it educationally, but it is really helping with sleep training. We keep it switched to night mode in her crib at night and when she cries it automatically comes on and plays soothing music which really helps her fall back asleep. I was really concerned because after it plays a few minutes of soothing music it says "Bye-bye!" loudly before turning off! What a poor design! Thankfully it doesn't seem to bother her! It seems like it will be a nice educational/play toy as she gets older. It does interest her a bit at this age and she likes chewing on the wings or crinkling them with her hand.

Little Mommy Baby So New Leopard Outfit Doll

I just got this baby doll for my niece that will be 1 this year because I had gotten my daughter one close to this one when she was 1. They are the perfect size for them since they are smaller but yet still a decent size so they fit in strollers and all. I opened the bag that was over the box and got a huge smell from the baby. A good like baby fresh or baby powder smell. The smell eventually leaves especially if you wash them but its still a neat thing in the beginning for the kids. If you wash them I suggest washing them in cold water, on the gentlest cycle possible and put them in a pillow case that you tie the end on so their actually plastic parts don't get messed up too much. I have washed my daughters about 3 times and it still looks great. I love that the doll also comes with a bottle and little blanket/wash cloth thing.

My older daughter has one similar to this that she got when she was younger and insisted that her new baby sister gets one as well. Of course the baby is still way too young so I will most likely be holding onto this until her first birthday. Since I already have lots of experience with Little Mommy dolls, I know I can rate this with confidence that in about a year from now I will still be very happy with this purchase :) This doll was originally seen in Target at a cheaper price, however when I went to buy the doll they no longer had it and could not tell me if they would get more, I even called within 50 mile radius pink and leopard has been this baby's theme. So fearing that I wouldn't see it again I paid the extra cost on Amazon (which was several dollars more than what Target's price was).

This toy is cute, and the kids like it, but it looks like one of those toys you win at the carnival. The pictures on the website make it look like a nice plush toy. Even the picture on the box that the toy came in looks like a nice soft plush toy. Not the same toy in the box. The toy is probably worth less than $10. Bottom line, if the kids are big fans of the show they'll like it, but it's low quality for the $.

update: we have had this toy for more than a year now and it has held up well. I still say the fabric does not look like the picture, but I can't complain about the durability.

Pato has fun music with drums that last longer than other characters (Pocoyo and Ellie). My daughter of two years likes the serie and really loves this toy, I also enjoy listening the drums and I'm satisfied with the purchase, highly recommended.

Sassy Xylophone Musical Toy

My 6 month old got this for Christmas and loves it his favorite toy in the bin for sure. To the review about the battery problems... I had that problem initially with another sassy product. A small papery "pull here" tab is supposed to be inserted before purchase. Mine had fallen out and the toy would not work. I found a tab from another toy I'd purchased, put it into the slot and pulled it back out. Presto, the toy worked. If something gets lodged between the battery and it's housing it won't work, so try this trick if you have this issue. The button battery should last long enough for your child to use it for the full extent of time that the he/she will actually be interested in playing with the thing. Also, for as much as the button battery costs, I'm sure the toy isn't worth replacing since if it were easier to open and your child could ever possibly get into it, that button battery could kill him/her... just a thought.

We got this as a Christmas present for our 6 month old daughter. It didn't work from the start. I would try replacing the batteries, but this product is purposely designed to make that difficult. In tiny print on the back of the packaging, it says "This product contains non-replaceable batteries." Why? I would bet that the batteries would be easy to replace if I could open this toy up, but it's put together with non-standard screws with triangular-slotted heads. One star for this annoying design.

Baby's Busy Phone Toy

This phone doesn't hold babies' attention. I have given it to 3 to try, and they all got bored. It has one spinning ball, one squeaker button that doesn't work very well, and one dial that is hard to turn. There are much better activity toys out there.

Combi Adventure Walker

I have been looking for a walker that all four wheels will spin. Most walkers I find only the front wheels spin around and the rear wheels only roll. I finally found it in this Combi, unfortunately is was more costly than I would have liked to spend on a walker. There are some bells and whistles that I could easily do without but my 5 month boys seem to like it a lot.

When putting this walker together you need to use a lot of force in order to get the legs attached to the base. However the legs can be adjusted for height and it also has an option for jumping which is evident of the shocks on it. When one of my boys is sitting in the seat he sits a lot lower than I expected but it seems to be good because they walker isn't top heavy and you don't have to worry about it tipping over.

The instructions tell you to put the activity piece onto the tray and then afterwords tells you to put the batteries in. I tried pulling the activity center off of the tray but it wouldn't budge. I could tell that if I yanked any harder it would have ripped apart. So then I needed to use a flathead screwdriver to pry the activity piece back off of the tray in order to get at the battery enclosure (takes 3 AA). The screw holding the battery cover on didn't want to come out very easily because the screw threads kept slipping but we eventually got it out after passing it around the room and having three adults attempt to remove it (talk about childproof).

On the activity tray there are lots of lights which definitely grab a baby's attention. One of the toys is an ignition key but it is positioned straight ahead and when a child grabs a hold it would be easy for the piece to slip through their fingers and not get it to turn. I would like to see it turned 90 degrees so that it is position sideways and it would be very easy for the little fingers to turn it and make the lights and sounds go. There is a toy on it that can be shook and chewed on. Another button that can be pushed (or whacked as my boys do) and it squeaks. There is a volume control that can also be turned to off and I have to say that I appreciate that it does not get very loud.

All in all it is a good product.

We purchased this walker (despite current nay-says about not giving your child a walker) for our very active then 8-month old son. He loves cruising around in our condo while in it --it gives him a sense of freedom and ability to satiate his curiosity. Obviously, if you have multiple stories in your home, this probably isn't that great for the home. But it came in a timely manner and we love all the "bells and whistles" (literally, lots of bell and whistle sounds) on it! :)

My son was given this as a gift. Due to lack of space and concern over walker safety issues, we just left the wheels off. Our son loved this. He didn't need to move anywhere in it. While we ate meals, he sat by the table and he would just bounce up and down as hard and fast as he could go. Or we would move the motorcycle somewhere else. It was easy to pick up and move without the wheels. He would wear himself out going up and down on the springs. I think there was an adjustment that switched it from bouncing up or down to not bouncing it up and down. He loved the music, noise and toys. The handlebars were great for him to hold on to. Even after he could not fit in it anymore, he still liked to play with the toys on it. We wished the on/off switch for the music and volume wasn't a part of the toys on top, as our son would turn it off, and we had to turn it back on, frequently. Removing the toys from the snack tray part is a little difficult. You have to pull/push at a certain angle. We never used the snack tray.

I bought this for my 5 month old daughter. It is better built than other walkers I have tested.All the plastic is smooth and the buttons and toys are well secured. At first glance the toys don't seem that exciting but that isn't the case. There is a little square puzzle like toy that rattles and honks, my daughter loves to hold on to it and honk. My daughter is now 7 months old and is really starting to get around the house. The movements/wheels ride smoothly and the bumpers are great for keeping her away from walls and cabinets. My daughter is in the 90% for height and weight and we have had absolutely no issues with the size of this walker.

I would buy this again even for the steep price.

Plan Toys Planpreschool Baby First's Block - Visual And Sound

This is one of my baby's favorite toy. I bought it for her when she was about 3 1/2 months but she got really into it when she was around 4 1/2 months. She loves pushing it and turning it when she has tummy time. The toy is a perfect for her little hands and also does not fall through the bars of the crib (no bumper for SID concerns). My baby also loves the rattle and looking at her image in the mirror on one of the sides. I like the mirror as it shows the true image, does not distort it like other baby mirrors.

Maybe the twins will find it intriguing when theyaree older. Not a winner with 7 month olds--they were not able or interested in the interior of the object. We will try it again at about 12 months.

Someone bought this dog for my little guy when he was born a year ago. It turns out that he can't/won't sleep without it, so I had to buy a 2nd one so i could wash it whe he's sleeping & swap them out. Amazingly soft & apparently, my little baby doll adores it!

Excellent replacement for the 12" floppy version that my son received at birth. He is inseparable from this dog, so I purchased three on Amazon. He noticed the difference from the original, but didn't fuss with the replacement. Perfect toy for children.

The toy is ridiculously cute with its sad puppy-dog eyes, but not as well built as other Aurora toys we own. It may just be that his snout is more firm which allows for better purchase my small loving hands. I have to sew his snout back together it's coming off under his left eye. Luckily, the stuffing is well contained inside and has not leaked out. I would definitely go for the [Aurora World 12" Scruff The Dog] for small kids. Its floppy nature makes it more durable for toting around.

Cuski the Original Baby Comforter

Our daughter has had a Cuski since she was born and it has become her most cherished security/comfort item. Although she has many other stuffed animals and toys, this is the one toy that she needs when she goes to sleep or goes somewhere unfamiliar. She has been in daycare since she was very young and this little doll comforts her there as well. The great thing about this toy is that it has no absorbent stuffing, so it is easy to keep clean. She chews and sucks on the ends so we are constantly washing it, but its relatively small size makes it very easy to wash and dry. I am very glad that she took to this toy as her comfort toy rather than a cumbersome stuffed animal that would be hard to keep clean. We keep 4 or 5 of these on the go. Two permanently at the daycare and the rest at home so that there are always clean back-ups ready to go. It is a bit pricey for what seems like a very simple concept, but for the comfort and peace that it brings for our daughter, we are very glad we bought this product.

It's cute, but my son was never really into it -when I'd lay it next to him and he'd roll over he'd get upset that the head, which is a hard ball, was difficult for him to get out from under him and was uncomfortable to be on top of. That being said, any odd shaped toy you give a kid will have the same outcome. He just never cared for it... I could have saved my money and continued to let him chew on his blanket.

A few weeks prior to giving birth, I slept with the doll to ensure my scent was on it and began putting the doll in the crib and car seat with my daughter as soon as we brought her home. At 6 weeks, we transfered her to her crib and she continued sleeping with her doll. As she's grown, she's continued sleeping with it and she places it under he nose and uses it to fall asleep. We use the doll to soothe her and she's very comfortable when she's holding the doll and always places it under her nose to smell it. Now that she's 2 1/2 she wants to take her baby out of the crib and carries it all over the house, often misplacing it. I just purchased 2 more so that we have a few backups, in case she loses this one. I recommend highly recommend this product. It's safe, washable and serves as a great Lovey for any baby.

Our baby loves his cuski :) at just 9 weeks old LO loves to feel, pat and grasp cuski with his hands so I think it also helps with his patterns development (wonder week leap 2) as well as comfort him. It even helps keep his passie in his mouth! He likes to "wear" cuski draped across his chest so it traps passie that way he can easily pop it back in if it falls out :) I have decided this along with The Wonder Weeks book is my go to shower gift from now on! Munchkin Twisty Fish Bath Toy

We bought this for our son at least 2 years ago. He is now 3 1/2 and is still liking to play with it during his bath. It is not his favorite, but he does play with it quite a bit. It's held up pretty good during the time we've had this toy.

It seems simplistic, but it's been a great bath toy for our 3 year old.

sometimes it gives her other toys a shower with its tail,

sometimes it's a giant sea monster,

other times it just scoops water to splash out and laugh about,

I like how the fins on the bottom stabilize it so that it can "stand up"

when not in use.
