I purchased this item based on another review that stated it was a good toy for babies. I am teaching my baby sign language and thought a little toy dog would be good incentive to learn the sign for dog. Unfortunately my daughter is teething and everything goes in her mouth and gets chewed on. I was very disappointed when a simple tug at the fur on the top of the doggy's head resulted in several strands coming out. As a result, this stuffed toy will be put away until she is past the age of chewing on everything.

Otherwise, for collectors or for older children, the puppy dog has a very sweet face and is very soft.

Kidz Delight Smooth Touch Tablet, Fun N Play

I thought the whole screen would be backlit like a real tablet, but instead only one small circle icon in the upper left lights up. The rubber buttons with stickers on top are just not what I expected. At $29.99, it seemed overpriced for the limited number of functions that this toy has. My main problem is with the picture on the website, which in my opinion is misleading.

From the manufacturer's commercial, we thought that some of these parts would at least light up, even animate. The commercial clearly animates inanimate areas on the tablet, it's false advertising with the intent to mislead the buyer.

Just to makes this clear, NONE of the icons change, move are animated or light up or do ANYTHING, Only the border of the top left icon is lit, when the tablet is turned on as a kind of on/off light. That's it.

We are very disappointed.

I mean, the pictures when touched are triggering a sound, sometimes two sounds alternating. And that's ok, but there is little that keeps a kid's attention.

I don't know if this is just a dinosaur among other electronic toys. Or if it's just not as interesting in comparison.

I have to admit, that we let our 5 years old play some apps on the iPad now, and of course while we thought this toddler's tablet would be a good thing for him, so he doesn't feel left out, he just always looks at the iPad, when his sister is playing and wants to pay that, too. His Kidz Delight Smooth Touch Tablet is just laying around and is not even looked at.

$30-$40 is too much for a toy that is not at all interesting to a kid. :-(

So I was expecting this to be more like an actual tablet, which I realize, for the price, was setting my expectations a little high. One thing I don't really like is that there is no volume control and the noises are quite loud. I purchased this for a plane ride and after hearing how loud it was, decided not to even bring it. It is nice that it has both english and spanish languages included, but I was expecting more of an interactive toy.

Fisher-Price: Little People Playtime Pals

We are huge fans of Little People in this house. This is another great set that can be played with on it's own or used in conjunction with any other set you have. This one in particular goes with Home Sweet Home house but the fence will attach to any other Little People fences you have.

My daughters 3 and 2 love the fact that his one has a swing so their Little People can play. Thye love the fact that they also have a cubby house to play in.

As with all Little People easy to hold, easy to use, easy to clean and great fun to play with.

My 16-month-old daughter loves this toy! This is her second Little People set; she also has the Playground.

She loves to put the little people in their chairs. She especially loves the little baby in the carriage--she pushes her all around.

My only complaint is the little swing. My daughter cannot quite master getting the person into the swing. You have to tilt it just right to set someone in the seat. Sometimes I'm even challenged by it! When she can't get the little person into the swing without it falling over, she gets very frustrated. An older toddler would have an easier time with this feature.

Other than that, we are very happy with it and plan to buy more sets, as they all can be hooked together.

this set is sooo cute. i was planning to get my daughter the bigger little people home sweet home for christmas but she is 2.5 yrs already and i decided she may not get the play out of it so i just got her this little set. we are so happy with it, a little playhouse with doors that open and close, a swing that really works and a little baby stroller that has working wheels. maggie and sonia-lee look so sweet and can sit in their chairs and have tea. everything can be joined together with the help of the fence piece and you can arrange it in different ways. the quality of this toy is very high, bright colors, chubby plastic and lots of detail you can't see in the picture here. this set is the best and cutest ever! you will not be disappointed.

This was my 13 month old daughter's first Little People set. I had friends that raved about it so of course I couldn't allow my daughter to miss out on all the fun. I started with this set because it was inexpensive, if she liked it, I would get more.

So far, So Good. She loves this toy. The pieces are large so it's easy for her to get her tiny fingers around them. They are easy to clean and lots of fun.

My daughter loves to take the people and put them in their chairs or in the swing. She likes to cram everything she can into the house. She has been carrying the set all around the house. I play with her and she could play with these things for hours. I let her take the people and chairs into the bathtub and she loves it. We're going to get the larger house for Christmas. HABA Glori Clutching toy

The parts are bell shaped. So once he could get his mouth around the wide part, it went all the way in, but then his mouth closed around the narrow part. Needless to say it was a little worrisome and this is probably more dangerous than you might think.

The toy isn't that interesting and only rattles, but the quality is great. It adds interest to the little basket of wooden toys my baby likes to play with. Very durable!

Munchkin Bullfrog Bug Scoop Bath Toy

I was looking for a new bath toy that did move in the water on its own, but didn't use up a bunch of batteries or be prone to not working properly. So we tried this. I agree with the other reviews, the actual frog net isn't as "fun" as the bugs that zip around in the water. I will actually hold up the net and my daughter will put the bugs in and then grab the net to keep them there. She is 18 months old. She doesn't pull the string on her own either, but she loves handing them to me and letting me pull the string and drop the bug in the water and it goes zipping around.

When we first got this, she didn't know what to think of the bugs moving around and I think she was a little scared of them. Lol. But once she realized they were toys and not real bugs, they are now one of her favs at bathtime!

My 14 month old loved/loves this toy! The bugs swimming around the bath give him plenty to chase and he loves to pull the string. Two months later, they are slowing down a bit---sometimes it is just an issue of being water loggedbut I also think they just don't have that many "pulls" in them. Still floating around in the bath provides some entertainmenthe can still fish for them with the net. Good buy!

Playskool Poppin' Park Pink Elephant Busy Ball Popper Toy

Our 11 month old daughter got this for Christmas. Three months later and she's still crazy for this thing. As she grows she plays with it differently. Right now she loves it when the balls hover over the nose because the can pick it up and stuff her hand down the trunk. Elephant cruelty to be sure. I appreciate the fact that the music is bearable and not the normal cheesy baby crud that makes me want to put my head through a wall.

I ordered this toy for my granddaughter for Christmas, she was almost 7 months old at the time, and she was mildly interested in it, she couldn't work the toy by herself, but liked watching it for a short time. She is now 9 months old and plays with it some, but gets bored with it after a minute or so. My older granddaughters had fun playing with it and showing her how it worked, they are ages 3 and 8, though. We'll see, as time goes on, if she plays with it more as I suspect she will. Seems to be a well made toy and is a little bit noisy, but not too bad.

Bright Starts Around We Go Activity Station, Doodle Bugs

When shopping for an exersaucer, I came across the Bright Starts Around We Go Activity Station. I read all the reviews thoroughly before purchasing this one, and it has turned out to be one of the best investments we've made. My daughter was 5.5 mo when I was looking for something that my daughter can be in vertically after feeding to minimize spit ups and to also allow me to grab something quick to eat. This exersaucer has accomplished both and much more! My daughter is very active with her legs and does not like to be confined to car seat, high chair, glider, swing, but she absolutely loves this unit and wants to be in it even 1.5 mo later.

Here's what we like about the unit:

1. We like the fact that the baby can "walk around" the activity center so she doesn't feel like she's restricted and confined. I think this bit of freedom and control is what keeps her wanting to go in.

2. Unlike the traditional exersaucer where the child just sits in the middle and rotates or bounces up and down which makes really loud and annoying noises because of the plastic tubes, the Bright Starts is more quiet with just the sound of the wheels. The wheels move very smoothly on the tile floor.

3. The keyboard with the 3 categories of sounds (silly sound, short musical tune and piano key) is really great so the baby does not get bored. You have to flip the pages, but the baby eventually gets it and will flip the pages on their own. This makes it more versatile than the other exersaucers I've seen.

4. My baby is teething, so the two butterfly-looking thing are great for her to chew on (though the short one is a little more difficult for her to reach, but the tall one you can bend). You can chain your baby's favorite teether to it too if it has a ring, but I think you can do that with most exersaucers.

5. The two frog looking thing are great too b/c they teach cause-and-effect.

6. I think this unit allows more interactive play b/c my daughter can move around the activity center much faster now, so we pretend we're running in front of her for her to catch us, and she loves it. Sometimes she runs behind the dog thinking she can catch her too =)

7. One unintended side benefit we've discovered is that it helps my daughter poop when she's in it, everyday precisely around the same time. Not sure if it's the standing position or the fact that she's exercising with walking, but it makes her very regular, so mommy's happy. And if you have an accident, you can take out the seat to wash it which we've done two times already, and the fabric is still fine. The only complaint I have is that it's a little difficult to remove the fabric because you have to take out the entire seat, which is a little hard b/c certain pts have to line up so you can unlock it, and my husband has to consult the manual every time, but I think this maybe part of the safety feature.

I know some parents complained about their baby's feet can't touch the ground even with the lowest setting. Just a reference pt for your consideration: when we got the unit for my daughter at 5.5 mo (25.5 inches long), she could only touch the floor tiptoed, and she was in the 90th percentile. So depending on the growth and height of your baby, you may not want to purchase this too early. But overall, I think this is a great activity center/exersaucer over the traditional kind and would highly recommend it.

I bought this for my four month old. She is too small to use it as a walker, but she loves batting at the toys. She hates the seat. There is not any cushioning within the seat and there are a few areas where the plastic digs into her back. I have to put a blanket around her just to protect her from the bulging plastic.

UPDATE: So, my daughter is seven months now. She still loves this saucer, but I ended up buying some batting to give her a little more cushion. She walks around just fine, but the rubber "feet" that keep the saucer steady come off very easily when we move the saucer and we have to be sure to put them back on before we put her in or else she wont be able to walk around as easily.

First off, putting it together took me by myself about 40 minutes which isn't bad with all the 40 pieces. More importantly this thing keeps my daughter happy and busy while I cook so I'm just so lucky that I found it. She can't really walk yet so she just stands there and plays the piano-my daughter's only 6 months but I'm sure pretty soon she'll be walking circles around the living room. The only problem is and it's very minor for now -is that the little rubber pieces from the bottom keep coming off-they are pieces that are supposed to make the unit stay still or stick to the floor-but they don't really work. I say minor problem because my daughter isn't very mobile yet but when she's strong enough and starting to try to walk more I'm not sure if she may be able to move the whole unit around? Anyways for now we are very happy with this toy!

We bought this when our son was 4 months old. He loved it from the beginning. At first he couldn't even touch the ground with his feet but this only made him work harder to build his arm and core strength. He slowly started using the activities and now he goes around and around laughing the whole time. I love the fact that he is not stuck in the middle only able to stand and turn. Lastly, I feel that it was a great buy as it will grow with him. He is now walking and I am about to take the seat off so he can use it in a new way. Money well spent.

My grandson recieved this toy as a newborn. He began using it at about 5 months when he could just sit in the seat and reach for the things on the activity table. As his feet could finally reach the floor he began to move around the table and it became his favorite toy. He loved the music and sounds. When he started walking he continued to play and walk around the table and even today at 2 he still comes back to it and enjoys the music. We bought this for our 11 month old son. I put a ball in the top area and he watched it fall with great interest. He was able to put the ball in himself immediately after watching me do it the first time. The item comes in 5 pieces which you just stack on top of one another in whatever color pattern you chose. They come apart easily, so this might become a game my son also enjoys. It comes with 3 balls that have beads inside and jingle. They roll so easy all over carpet and flooring that alone they are super fun, too. I recommend this for ages 9 months and up. A 9 month old may not be able to play with it alone for it's intended purpose, but would certainly enjoy watching an adult put the balls in and watch them fall as well as play with the balls alone. I purchased this specifically because it has no harmful phthalates (phthalate-free). We typically by wooden and other non-toxic toys so I feel really good about this purchase.

I ordered the Earlyears Busy Ball Drop and received an "Earlyears" Busy Ball Drop. The toy I received had only four tiers, instead of the advertised five. The balls were two lightweight, hollow, cheap plastic balls with nothing inside them, not the three "heavy duty" acrylic balls with spiral design and rattles inside. The printed box was clearly labeled "Playgo Toys", and the original UPC bar code had been covered up with another bar code sticker with "Earlyears Busy Ball Drop" printed on it. The toy wasn't worth $10, let alone the $19.99 I paid for it, and has already been returned for a refund. I am disappointed to have received an inferior knockoff, and also surprised, since the order was fulfilled by Amazon. Amazon, what happened? (Updated: Seller was Kandycares)

Please do not buy this product! The balls to this product are big enough not to go down a child's throat, but small enough to fit the whole ball in their mouth...barely. Within 5 min my 9 mo old had the entire ball shoved in his mouth and could not get it out. It was in so tight I couldn't get my finger in to get it out. Tongue was pushed back into his throat and I had to push on the ball on the outside of his cheeks (very hard) to get it out. It hit his gums on the way out and he screamed like crazy. Even though this could not go down his throat, it could've very well blocked his airway and caused him not be able to breathe. I will be reporting this to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, but PLEASE do not buy this product...it was a terrible scare to have happen on Christmas morning!

Please heed the warning about this toy being a choking hazard to children under 3.

This is a great toy, but note that the balls are exactly the 1.75" diameter requirement for children under 3 as specified by the CPSC. My dad, a former CPSC inspector, thought it was too small to give to my 10 month old baby.

I will be putting this toy away, especially after reading the post about someone's child who got the ball lodged in his mouth.

This was not an expensive toy, but is already a favorite of our 8-month old (and will surely grow with popularity as his dexterity). The 3 balls double as rattles and are colorful and interesting to examine. The nested levels are colorful and the ball drop action is great (with rattling balls). The layers come apart and can be rolled together (stack 2 or 3 together and roll on their side like a car axle). Or, take the layers one at a time and spin them on the floor upside down like a top. Our baby learned how to drop a ball through the hole of a single layer if we hold it for him. The bottom layer (yellow) can be flipped over and a ball can be placed inside the hole and turned with his fingers which is also amusing. So, all and all, a great deal for a simple ball drop toy that can do other fun things if you want to be creative.

My son has been asking and asking for the "man with the hat that holds a flag" for almost a year. Of course, I never found it in the stores, but Amazon came through again! Step2 products are so durable and sturdy, I know that I won't have to worry about him being too rough with it. He loves to put "Slow Man" at the end of the driveway to warn cars away when he plays... We just started using this, but I was surprised by how many drivers slowed down as they approached our driveway. We were outside playing with the kids and all but one driver slowed to a respectful speed while we were out there.

The only concern I have is that our 18-month-old was too interested in the safety man. Our toddler kept running toward the street to investigate this strange yellow guy with the flag standing at the bottom of our driveway. Hopefully the novelty will wear off quickly.

This is a really great piece of mind. I live on a block that is full of kids. I get so nervous when they are all out riding bikes and scooters because they are so busy playing they don't pay as close of attention to cars coming by and all too often the cars are driving too fast. Cars really do slow down with this sign out. Easy enough to pull out of garage to set up. Kids like that it is there for their safety. Kids Line Willow Organic Valance

My wife purchased one of these but none of the items had a description indicating it was only 60" wide. Unfortunately we have a 72" wide window and so this wouldn't work once we got it.

The valance looks as it does in the picture, however when we got them we found the construction to be lacking. The brown stripe is fabric and is pressed in the opposite direction as its sewn. With some ironing, the valances looked much better.

I kinda assumed the product would be as depicted in the photos. This is NOT the case. I bought a pair of these. One has 2 deer which are basically centered. The other has 3 1/2 deer, 2 well off center and 1 1/2 WAY off to the side...as in you basically can't see them as they're on the side of the rod (where it turns back into the wall). The valances, otherwise, are fairly well made for the price. As a guy, dare I say they look very cute, though unbalanced, in my daughters bedroom. I normally have no problem with a lack of room symmetry, but like I said, the windows look "off". Keep this in mind if you need more than one.

He's machine washable, colorful, and well, Tigger! My daughter has had (and loved) him from birth, and he still looks pretty new! Someone gave us a duplicate which is waiting patiently in a closet for our next child, so I have him to compare to. VERY durable.

My baby loves this tigger. She laughs at him and bites his nose for kisses. She has abused this guy for 14 month's now and he still looks new! He is very durable, even for teething babies, and he is so darn cute! The perfect size and shape for young hands. He is also a very nice color orange. This tigger has been through 2 kids, it is very durable my 4 month old chews on him and wrestles with him all the time.. and his tail can help her hold her bottle so she can hold him and he will hold bottle in place.. we will have to save this for our next baby...

I just bought this toy and we love it. The buttons are easy to push so my daughter can do it herself. It's safe to put in her mouth. It's easy to clean and it can attach to her car seat. Great toy at a great price!

I typically love leapfrog products and they have all worked perfectly out of the box and lasted a really long time. This particular item I bought as soon as it came out and immediately didn't work. I also think it's really geared to the 3-6 month age as it's very babyish and extremely simple and my son was just too old for it (he was about 9 months when I bought it probably my mistake) but either way, I've seen better.

My wife and I purchased a small piano for my 3 year old daughter and thought this would be good for our 10 month old son. It is great for keeping him interested while he plays with the various music, shape and color options. It can be turned on by simply hitting it. This is great for little kids but adults can set it off easily (It is also easy to turn off).

The buttons weren't defined enough for ~6month old. LOVE the idea but there didn't seem to be enough to identify the individual keys. When it "times out" or is shut off it always goes back to the shape/color mode. Doesn't stay on selected mode. Son now 2 keeps going back to this toy with interest but didn't seem great for younger child.

This toy travels well. I keep it in the car for my daughter to play with and she loves it. It's a great size for a lap toy and yet is soft to the touch.

Simply Natural Puppets Lion

I really wanted to get a puppet that I could use to entertain our 2 month old daughter, but alas, this is not the product. I love the fact that it is all natural and feels soft and durable, but I can not properly fit my hand inside to make it work as it should. I don't have really big hands, I would say I am an average sized woman, but it is impossiable for me to get each of my fingers where they need to be in order to interact with my baby. I think a child might be able to work this product better than I can, but I won't be able to test that theory for a few years yet. As of now it is really just another stuffed animal.

Waldorf Maple Teether Natural Teething Ring

This teether is magic! So many of my mommy books said that babies need something soft to use as a teether. That couldn't be father from the truth. They need something hard. After a friend recommended Palumba I bought one of their teethers from their website. When I gave it to my daughter she was holding it and looking at it with intense eyes. And then she put it in her mouth and it was like a soothing wind caught her breath and made everything roses. Pure magic!

Suggestion: Put a little water on it and put it in the fridge for a while.

Also, it is hand made in the USA, NOT CHINA thank god!

It came in lovely tissue paper with instruction how to care which left me disappointed first only because I didn't know I needed a wood oil or bee wax. Well, you can substitute with good old olive oil which is better because it gave lovely scent as well. My little one who is 4 months old now immediately attracted and trying to grab and use it. He had quite of time playing with it when we all had dinner in peace. The only reason I give 4 star is because the inside of the ring wasn't as smooth as I want to be. It had little wood grains. (not sharp chips but definitely NOT smooth) As I am writing this review I am still trying to rub it down with my hand or if this doesn't get better I might just get a fine sand paper and sand it down. Otherwise, it's a great little teether which is also very beautiful.

I liked this product so much, I am back to buy 3 more of them as gifts for the holidays. You get two teething rings for the price, we keep one upstairs and the other downstairs.

When we first got it, my wife was a bit taken aback by it being wood (it seemed too hard to her), but now that we have had it for a few months she has made a 180 degree about face and loves it. Our daughter loves it as well, it's by far her favorite toy to sooth her gums with.

For me it was important to find a product that was natural and free of toxins. In the EU they have banned teethers that contain PVC, here in the US it is still legal.

The product has a very light finish, almost nothing on it which was rinsed off when we first washed it. The wood itself is quite soft and does not splinter or anything like that. The shape of the teether is nice as well, lots of different options for the baby. It is also the perfect size for babies 3 to 4 months when the first start to clutch and bring things to their mouth, most teethers are a little bigger but this is great for small hands and mouths.

Highly recommend it, and the shipping was extremely fast as well.

Pretty much what I expected. Looks like the picture, the wood isn't 'finished', so it's not smooth, but it's a natural feeling.

My kid is 9mo now, and he was enamored with it for the first couple weeks we got it(4-5mo.) Doesn't seem to keep his attention for long nowadays. If you touch your middle finger to your thumb, it's about that size.(normal size hands)

I bought this teether hoping to avoid the ubiquitous "made in China" plasticware that most teethers are... I think I had higher hopes for it. My daughter likes it ok, but it is definitely not her favorite chew toyshe likes her Sophie Giraffe much more. It is easy for her to grip and it's very smoothno splinters, after 4 monthsbut maybe it's just not her thing. But it's well made and once in a while she will gnaw on it for a bit. Some babies will love it, but she tends to want something slightly softercold wash cloths do the trick often, as does the aforementioned rubber giraffe. It's hit or miss but I don't regret trying.

Circus Mobile

I'm a huge fan of no-frills yet interesting mobiles, and this one fits the bill. There are 2 detachable animals, a mirror, and a ring with a chime. It is very colorful and can be hung from the ceiling with an s-hook. If you are looking for lights, music, and cheap plastic, this won't be the mobile for you. If you are looking for a cozy simple fabric mobile, this is a good investment (as are most Haba toys). Wish I'd bought this for my first child! One thing to note it's a bit heavy, due to sturdy construction.

Simple, sweet design with adorable flying bears and a mirror to keep baby entranced. I just wish they'd included a hook to hang it from. Otherwise, it's one of the best old-fashioned mobiles I've seen.

I bought this mobile because I loved the way it looked and I hoped our little girl would like it well enough. I never would have guessed our little girl would LOVE it as much as she does: M is 6 weeks old and smiles and gurgles away at the little mouse and bear. I'm starting to suspect that she likes this mobile and her little friends more than she likes me! :(

This mobile can be found for a few dollars less elsewhere, but I'd say any dollar you spend on this is money well spent.

The only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because no hook or other means of attaching the mobile to the ceiling or a crib is included in the box and the string is FAR too short to hang directly from the ceiling (we have ours situated above our diaper changing station). It was easy enough to find a way to hang it, but it seems like the string should be longer (trimmable) and a hook should be included.
