I purchased this item based on another review that stated it was a good toy for babies. I am teaching my baby sign language and thought a little toy dog would be good incentive to learn the sign for dog. Unfortunately my daughter is teething and everything goes in her mouth and gets chewed on. I was very disappointed when a simple tug at the fur on the top of the doggy's head resulted in several strands coming out. As a result, this stuffed toy will be put away until she is past the age of chewing on everything.

Otherwise, for collectors or for older children, the puppy dog has a very sweet face and is very soft.

K's Kids Learning Shoes on Little Feet

I bought these for my year old grandson because he loves real shoes and tries to bite the soles and lick them. He likes them a lot and bites and licks the soles, but he puts them on his hands. When we put them on his feet, he laughs hysterically. they are much bigger than I thought they would be, but fun.

Random Blocks - Marble Ball Track Accessory

I purchased this product in conjunction with two other Haba products as Christmas presents for my nephews and had them shipped directly to them. I didn't realize this, but these are Kugelbahn products ffrom Germany, which are very durable and which my brother and sister-in-law like to get for the kids. When I saw them play with the sets, it was great. They were having a good time figuring out how to get the marbles to go where they wanted and building different configurations of the blocks. These are awesome toys.

My grandson picked this out at the store just before he turned one. Now it is 3 months later and he still loves it. Once he learned not to block the hole on top with his other hand, he started putting all kinds of things in the chicken to see what would make it through. Sure the balls that came with it make it through, but so do the balls from his other toys, the pieces from his sorting toy, most of the characters from his Noah's ark toy, his pacifier, etc. Great fun. And the buttons on the front light up and play music. What more could a kid ask for?

Jellycat Bashful Giraffe Medium

Bashful Giraffe is the third Jelly-Cat stuffed animal I've bought and I love them all. These super-soft, floppy critters are the perfect "first stuffed animal" for a new baby. They are quite light weight and their appendages make them easy for little hands to grab. The biggest plus is that they machine wash beautifully -very important when their owners drool and spit on them!

The stuffed animal is cute and soft and exactly as described and pictured. The only minor problem I had with it is the lack of neck on this stuffed animal. It is a giraffe after all! Versus the other stuffed JellyCat giraffes that have at least an inch or 2 of neck, with this one, the head sits right on the shoulders. When I bought it, I didn't even realize this until I got the package and realized something felt off. Other than that, I still like it.

We got this as a gift for our baby shower and when my daughter was old enough, we started placing it in the crib with her along with one or two other stuffed animals... this quickly became her absolute favorite stuffed animal. We didn't expect for her to love it so much!!! My daughter likes to tote things around and put her toys in boxes, bags, etc. I decided that she should have a purse since this could combine her two favorite interests. While it is not her favorite toy, she does play with it quite often and I think it has some staying power. I very much appreciate the fact that the opening is easy for little hands to reach inside; some of the purses out there create a lot of frustration for small kids because putting their hands in to take something out can be a challenge. This is designed so that it is easy to see what is inside the purse and easy to take things out/put things in. The items that come with the purse are adorable crinkle play money, a mirror, a phone and a key. The little chime on the bow is an added bonus. If you are looking for a toy purse for a toddler, I think this is a great product.

We bought this for our daughter when we was about 6 months old. She loved to take things out of it and hear the noise the bow on the purse made. She liked the items in the purse as well particularly the crinkle money. I would have thought the buttons on the phone would have pushed and made a noise, but they don't. My 11 month old just loves this purse. She plays with this constantly taking out the items and putting them back in. It is also a plus that she can chew on them while taking them in and out. Im not sure why others rated this house so low. But all ive got to say is that you should look around for a coupon! Toys r us believe it or not had this toy for $25 and on top of that i had a buy one get one 50% off for lp sets. My 1 year old son LOVES this house! He loves to put the baby in the tub and flush the toilet. He constantly slams the house down to repeatedly poke the doorbell and also enjoys the phone. I think that as with all LP toys, he loves the actual people the most but i can see him enjoying this house more and more.

I WOULD recommend going on ebay for a better price and also to purchase extra individual LP figures to make the play more realistic :)

I have this house, the animal sounds farm, school bus and dump truck along with several extra figures and the memories that children (including myself) create with these toys are irreplaceable! The toys are almost as sturdy as the original ones (pre 1991) and they still attract little ones today!

My daughter is 15 months old and I was looking for some "girly" toys to buy her for the holidays. I am always pleased with the quality of the plastic in Little People sets, but I really do not understand why they are so expensive. This is a small little unfolding house with five buttons that make different sounds (telephone ring, two different water sounds for the washing machine and the bathtub, a toilet flush, and a doorbell) and two little "people", one of which is a baby. There are some cute features, I'm glad my daughter has this, but it is nowhere near the $40ish current list price. I would judge this as a $25 toy. With some upgrades (more buttons/features) and more people in it, I would judge the price appropriate. I gave it only three stars because the value is low for the price and it was overall a bit boring/disappointing. My daughter has much more fun with the Fisher Price Laugh & Learn Home, which is a GREAT buy for the money.

I bought this for my niece's first birthday. I'd heard she had a fascination for a fellow toddler's Little People toys, and I wanted to get her a dollhouse. This toy got two birds with one stone.

Before I presented this, though, I checked to see if it needed batteries. According to the box, they're not included, so if you're a considerate gift giver, make sure you have some ready. I believe it needs 3 AA batteries -I wanted to say 2 or 3, as I can't quite remember which it was, but I seem to remember bringing 3 with the gift, and that's the safer number in any case; better to have one more than you needed than one less. Also, I think the place where the batteries go (underneath the house) requires a screwdriver, so make sure there is one handy.

It's called the Happy Sounds Home -so don't be surprised; this is a toy that makes sounds. That's why you need the batteries.

Here are the sounds it makes:

--laundry being done in the washing machine, ending with a beep to indicate the washer is done

--toilet flushing

--baby laughing in the bath

--phone ringing

--doorbell ringing

The speaker is located just inside the front door, on the floor where a door mat would be. I babysit my niece fairly regularly, and I personally felt the volume of the sounds are comparable to her other sound-making toys, i.e., not too loud at all. The loudest sounds are the ringing phone and the ringing doorbell. The beep at the end of the laundry washing sound probably comes next.

The sounds are blessedly short in length, though, compared to her other toys, some of which seem to go on and on. Unless you have a kid who obsesses with pushing buttons constantly and without end, I don't think you have to worry about this toy annoying you in the sound department.

OK, now for moving parts:

--the entire house has a hinged side, so it opens and closes

--the yellow front door opens and closes, and there's a pink button next to it on the outside that activates the ringing doorbell sound)

--the pink laundry detergent on the yellow washing machine is a button that activates the laundry washing sound

--the pink toilet seat lid opens and closes, and upon closing activates the toilet flushing sound

--the pink floor of the bathtub is actually a button you press to activate the baby laughing in the bath sound

--the yellow baby crib in the bedroom actually rocks

--the yellow refrigerator door opens and closes

--the pink phone in the living room is actually a button that activates the phone ringing sound

--the disc/wheel with the sun and moon sticker moves round and round and can be seen and moved from the outside of the house or the inside.

The pieces separate from the house are:

--the father

--the mother

--the baby

--a pink table

--two purple chairs

--a pink highchair for the baby

And everything fits inside the house, so the house is like a little toy box for the smaller pieces.

Also, my niece is at that stage in her life where she loves to put everything in her mouth, and these separate pieces are the ideal size for it, small enough for her to grasp, big enough that I never have to worry about her swallowing them, and solid and sturdy enough that I never have to worry about pieces breaking off. ALL of these have been tasted and gnawed on by the way, and they have all come out still looking as good as new, however slobbery they might be. My only concern is that I don't know what the little people are painted with -but whatever it is, I hope and trust that Fisher-Price has made sure it's safe.

This is a good starter toy but for the price, I personally would expect perhaps a few more items in the package. It is great that it comes with the family but perhaps a pet and some other mobile pieces would be better. My daughter likes it but she seems to need more to do with it. I ended up buying the bus set to have more to do.

My daughter loves this toy. We can put the adorable blocks into the giraffe and watch them tumble down over and over and over again! She loves it! When she tires of that I build a block tower and she crashes them down...very fun BUT...our giraffe makes no more sweet music when the blocks tumble because when the batteries that came with the toy ran out, I learned it would cost over nearly half the cost of the toy to replace the batteries!!! Some the "cause and effect" educational value of the toy is gone without the sound....why did Fisher-Price put these expensive batteries in this toy? Certainly they could have used standard AA or AAA batteries....good toy...but VERY EXPENSIVE BATTERIES!!!!!

It's amazingly simple. Put the cubes in at the top of the giraffe, watch them fall out the bottom as one of several VERY short little tunes play. My one-year old cracked up with laughter when he opened this present, and was a huge hit!

This toy holds his attention for quite awhile, and he'll seek it out. The cubes themselves are great fun for stacking like blocks. They also stack along the back side of the neck of the giraffe on a little holder at the base.

Put a cube in, watch it fall. Put a cube in, watch it fall. He LOVES it. There is also a door at the bottom that needs a good push to click shut to prevent the cubes from exiting great for storage of the 5 blocks.

My son received this toy for Christmas when he was about 8.5 months old. He really enjoys it, even now at 10 months old, and loves dropping the blocks (and anything else that will fit!) into the giraffe to watch them come tumbling out. The blocks themselves are miniature works of art (as are the other Peek-a-Blocks) and my son often plays with them and forgets about the giraffe.

At first, however, he was very frustrated when putting the blocks in the giraffe because it would fall over at his slightest touch. By now he's figured out that he has to be more gentle with it so it stays upright, but I wonder if Fisher-Price could have made the giraffe a little wider and stouter so that it wouldn't topple so easily.

As to the blocks themselves, some of them do indeed have components that a small baby could never use. One block features a cute zebra, and on the bottom there is a dial that you can turn to make the zebra spin around inside the block. This dial, however, is very difficult to turn, and was impossible even for my 2.5 year old nephew to operate. In the main, however, the blocks are very cute and entertaining for babies, especially the ones that make noise when you shake them.

Overall, my baby has fun with this toy, but to be honest he has just as much fun with his regular Peek-a-Blocks, which cost about half the price of this Blocks + Giraffe bundle.

I bought this toy, along with a bunch of the blocks, for my daughter's 1st birthday. She's 19 months old now and still plays with it every day. As a matter of fact, our 2.5 year old loves to play with it as well. At first we loved these, because our baby loved these. Then we noticed that within a month, the paint has started coming off because she was putting these things in her mouth. This toy is not appropriate for babies.

We like the turtles, didn't realize they have magnets in their nose and tail, so the stick to my tub. They really don't collect water, except the turtle with the spinner can hold a little water till you turn it over. Though they are quite hard, but we like them. Toys that mom can just throw in the bath toy bag are a bit hit in this house.

Once my son got used to it, he didn't mind wearing it. He hates hats and hoods,but he wore it like a champ on Halloween.

Previous reviews state that even though it's advertised as 0-6 months, it's actually 12-18 months. We ordered anyway because we have a larger 7 month old and decided to take our chances. It is terrible that even after the reviews, no one has fixed the product description. I thought maybe it was just a fluke that the wrong size was sent before, or that the product was just labeled incorrectly....but the packaging clearly says 12-18 months and the costume is most definitely not for an infant.

Also, the package was open with costume hanging out when I opened the box.

It also has one broken snap, so we will have to fix that since we don't have time to return it and get another one.

This is supposed to be a brand new item that we paid full price for...description incorrect, out of package, and broken snap really ticks me off. Yet on the plus side, it is an adorable costume..nice and light for babies who don't want big heavy costumes on their heads...and the Elmo voice box is a very cute touch that makes our little boy laugh.

It is 12-18 months, and Amazon didn't just send me the wrong one after I got it I called the Sesame Street store, and they said they don't even make it in a 6 month size. I got this for my sons 1st birthday and okay I gave it to him before his actual birthday and so glad I did. This is the "new" improved song & story chair and so happy with it. My son just loves it. He sits in it and hits the light to hear songs or the story, he stands behind it and rocks to the tunes. This has to be the best chair ever.

A few years ago, I purchased this chair for a friend's one year old after seeing how much my own granddaughter loved it. I paid approximately $40 for the chair. Today, I went online to see where I could purchase another as a gift for an upcoming first birthday and almost fell off my chair when I saw what this company is charging for that same chair $160.00. There's no doubt at all that this Song & Story Learning Chair is cute, educational, fun for toddlers, and worth buying; however, the chair has serious -no, egregious -stability issues that come from a design flaw. The chair is not properly weighted or designed: it flips up and over when my toddler gets up from the chair as he touches anywhere on the storybook or table area. The chair tips over far too easily for its targeted age range, and this *is* a serious design flaw and problem for parents. Toy designers know that safety is the number issue, and I cannot believe that Fisher-Price did not follow through and correct this second iteration of its musical chair.

I bought this for my son when he was old enough to sit up on his own and pull himself up...I would say, about 6 months. He has played with it EVERY SINGLE day since then. Now, he is 13 months and still loves the heck out of it!! VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED from us!

As for any "mechanical" issues or anything like that, we have had NO problems whatsoever with it. We just put it together, according to the directions, slapped in some batteries, and TA-DA!!! Super easy to put together!

I bought this for my seven month old daughter from Craigslist and she just adores it. I can not get her off of it. She likes to sit sideways in it and climb all around it. I put thick couch pillows behind and on the side of the chair to avoid it tipping over. My daughter likes every single thing about this chair. She likes to play with the pages, clock, lamp and the seat of the chair, all of which sing and talk. This toy keeps my daughter busy and engaged. She is 27 inches long and fits perfectly in it. Be careful when buying this product used as it had a recall. The recall included a fix for the chair which is an extra piece that is screwed on toward the back of the chair to avoid baby from getting caught between the table and back of chair.

Camden Rose Toddler Zoom

Our little 16 month old grandson loves his Toddler Zoom Wooden Toy Car. When he was shown how to play with it, his little eyes really lit up. I would rank this toy as one of the top toys to get your little rug rat started in becoming a curtain climber. We gave it to him when he was around 9 months old. He started crawling almost immediately, trying to get to it when he would push it too hard and lose his grip on it. He started walking at 11 months, while his twin sister is still not walking and just started crawling a couple months ago. I have to believe that this toy really advanced him with many skills. I figure he will probably be driving a car next year. Ha Ha!! No, not quite, but we have really enjoyed seeing him have so much fun with this toy. When we visit, the first thing he picks up and shoves into my hand, so we can play is his little wooden car. This toy has proven to be very durable. He can wear out a toy faster than any kid I have ever known, but his little car just takes the abuse.

My son is now 9 months old and technically still too young for this toy. He is able to carry it around easily because of the car window hole. He chews on it sometimes, though he seems to prefer chewing on about everything else (though he does love the maple teether). I believe this toy is more fun for me when I want to get his attention away from something else. I'm able to make vrmmmm sounds while moving the car about and he smiles. I'm sure once he does reach the toddling stage he'll be doing his own vrmmmming:D

I bought this when my son was six months old, and he didn't really like it, so it went away. Now he is a year old, and when I brought it out to check for the sharp edges, he of course wanted to play wih it. Here is the drop box url, because my phone stops uploading in the middle of the upload:

There are no sharp edges or paint, just ribbon, rubber and plastic, and elastic holding the middle part on.

I have recently contacted the company, but just to warn parents my 8 month old got her fingers caught inside this rattle. She's learning to clap and I think as she was holding it, brought her hand into it fast and hard. She screamed and cried because the inside edge was also not smooth! We have effectively put this toy away!

I had bought this rattle for my 5 month old she loved it but I had to take it off of her because the yellow paint around the inside started to peel off she had paint chips in her mouth!! I would not tell anyone to buy this product!

I bought this for our son (who is now turning 6 months), thinking that the bright colors might attract him. Not only did he love this toy, but he enjoys chewing on the ends of this and feeling all the textures this rattle offers.

Also, this rattle is very easy to clean and very easy for a little baby to manipulate. This is easily one of my son's favorite toys right now.

This rattle is made mostly of plastic, but the little lines of color radiating out of the middle of the rattle are actually bits of ribbon which offer a different texture for babies to explore.

Little Tikes Go and Grow Lil' Rollin' Giraffe

I ordered 3 of these for the very busy little toddlers in the home daycare that I run. There was a bit of strength involved in putting them together, but overall it was quick and easy. I let the kids test drive them on the hardwood floor in the living room and they didn't seem to get much traction but they loved them. I don't mind that they can't go too fast, as I would rather they didn't fly into each other or the furniture. They seem very stable and on the shortest setting are perfect for my two boys who are 20 and 21 months of age. My little girl, who is 15 months could sit on the seat but preferred the rear bumper because the seat was bit too tall for her. For the price I think these are great. I think the kids may get more traction on a carpet or sidewalk. Overall though I think these will be used for many years to come.

I highly recommend this product to anyone. My 18 month granddaughter loves it. She rides it for many hours during the day:)

I'm sorry to have to leave an unkind review as I love little tikes toys. This specific toy has actually injured my son. He is 15 months and was playing with the horns on the head part and they sliced 3 of his fingers to which he cant pick anything up with that hand because it hurts so bad, I now have to just wait out the healing process with him before he can really start to use it again. I have sent an email to the company telling them about this in hopes that they either recall this toy or at least try and fix the problem. Another issue I have had is that when my son pushes forward or backwards the wheels run either over his toes or heels. Don't buy this toy! Just wanted to get a warning out to anyone who already has this toy or to someone looking to buy this! Hope this helps!

Educo Early Melodies Rhythm Set

These are only 5-6 inches long-smaller than I anticipated (says 8.7 inches in product dimensionsthat is the box, not the contents), but work well for little hands. My 18 mo old is enjoying these instruments.

Brought for my one year old who is really into music. The instruments are small but good for little hands. The shaker doesn't really make any noise, it's hard to get it just right to get it to work right, and a child small enough to use it probably wouldn't figure it out. It had two elastic cords, I removed the top one and it is slightly easier to make a sound, but now it's kind of flimsy. I wouldn't reccommend.

They are small enough for his little hands and he loves that he can bang them together and make noise with them. It is so cute to watch him carry them with him all around the house. Our daughter just turned 8 months old and really enjoys all of the musical instruments we have gotten her, especially this set. With her first teeth coming in, she uses these for teething as much as playing, but these are one of her favorites.

I would recommend this to parents who have a child that is able to sit up on his/her own. Before that, they probably won't do much with it.
