This toy was purchased for a 10 month old boy. It has no dangerous parts to pull off. It is light and easy for him to to grab, shake and wave around. He is attracted to the bright colors. It was a successful gift. I like it myself because it is unusual and artistic. I will check back with his parents in a couple of months to assess durability, but is has remained intact since Christmas. (It is now mid-April)

I love this necklace. it helped my son with his teeth and made him more calm, as the amethyst does. BUT, this necklace came to me measuring 15 inches long. the description box says its 12-12.5 inches long. Thats what it should be. 15 is huge and fits on an adult. it is so long that my son can bring it up and chew on it and it is more of a choking hazard. Unfortunately, i have to return it and Amazon can not say if I were to order another one if it would be 15 inches again. So sad... I really like the necklace.

Taggies 19" Plush, Big Buddy Dog

bought this for our 7 month old. he loves all the taggies and we will be giving this to him for xmas :)

My grandson has a smaller version of the same dog. When I ordered the dog I was under the impression that it only came in one size thus did not go any further. I would have preferred the smaller size as it would match his current dog. He carries his smaller dog just about everywhere and we thought it would be nice to also have one at our house. He so far will have nothing to do with the larger dog, he is 18 months and maybe as he gets a little bigger he will. We will keep the dog. But it would have been nice to know that it came in different sizes. My fault I guess as I assumed it did not.

The Babymio Collection BaBa Lovey Tag-A-Long

This "Lovey" blanket is indeed cute, but it seemed quite small when I received it. I certainly didn't feel that it was worth the 20-something dollars I paid for it. However, it seems soft and well-made. I was just disappointed in it's size.

My Grandson's nickname is Moose, I searched forever for just the right lovey for him; once I saw this I knew it was perfect. At first I was disappointed by the size I'm sure I read the description, but didn't really think about it. Once he had it in his little hands though, I knew the size couldn't have been a better fit. There wasn't so much he would trip over it, and it was just enough he could cuddle up with it and have his arms covered.

I bought this lion off somebody's registry. It matches the bedding set, as far as colors, theme, etc. The main body of the lion is very soft and could become a favorite friend, if not for the mane. From the picture, the mane looks similar to one of those taggie blankets. It's made with coarse felt with rough stitching instead of ribbons. Also, it arrived in a tight plastic bag, which smashed the mane.

My 7 mo old daughter absolutely LOVES this phone. She was obsessed with my phone so I got her the only toy smart phone on the market. It is a little bulky and is more like a Zack Morris phone than a smart phone. That being said it keeps her entertained and every kid that she comes in to contact with can't wait to get their hands on it. Yes the volume is really low, but if you hold it to your ear (like a REAL phone) the sound is very clear.

My daughter has several play phones and this is her favorite, one because it looks the closest to mommy and daddy's phones but she loves all the songs it plays. The sound is very low but I love that because she holds it up to her ear all of the time and it is not going to hurt her hearing. Plus, with the volume being low it doesn't drive mommy crazy when she keeps pushing the buttons over and over again.

This phone is ok. My girls love play phones and this one is there least favorite. It isn't very loud and the buttons don't push very well. I didn't find it to be very interactive. I would probably skip buying this phone.

My kids aren't too impressed with it and I wasn't impressed with the flashlight. It's not a true flashlight, it just flickers a 3 light color for about 15 seconds and shuts off, and it isn't very bright. It's very durable though, I am impressed. Both my children LOVE the tumble top though. When my littlest one was 3-7 mos he would sit and giggle in amazement at it constantly. It's worth it just for that.

A big hit with my sensory seeking son. I bought the gamut of human chew toys for my son and this one, by far, was the winner. It's sturdy enough that his teeth aren't tearing it, yet flexible enough to give son the output he needs. 4 out of 5 stars due to the lame black cording. I wound up hooking the charm through a binder ring and then attaching that to a retractable keychain (2 bucks). My son just clips it onto the front of his pants and he's off to school.

I liked that there was a bracelet and necklace. The bracelet is too big for a young child, and can be easily lost. The material of the product was great,even though my daughter was able to chew through it. The biggest complaint is the necklace, it's very thin/cheap. There isn't a breakaway on it, and my concern was strangulation. I had planned on putting it on a breakaway lanyard, however the opening is far too small to put on much else.

My 9yo son is high-functioning autistic, and liked to chew holes in the collars of his shirts while doing his work at school. After several Google searches, we decided together that this would be the best alternative. The morning of the first day, I was worried about whether or not it would even last through the school day... the cord seemed flimsy, and while the jewel didn't, my son already has many of his adult teeth, and I wasn't sure he wouldn't just chew through it.

Fast-forward to the end of that day... when he came home, the cord was broken (though it did last until the bus ride home). His t-shirt, however, was unmolested, and his teacher even sent a note home about how chewing on the necklace seemed to help him focus in class.

We went to Michael's that evening and found a few different cords; we went through three rubbery ones before we tried a different one that seems that better, and has been holding up nicely. So definitely buy this thing if your kid needs it -it's worth it, even if you have to spend a little extra to find a cord that works for you.

Gund Christmas Snowsly Large 18" Plush

The Muppets Romper And Headpiece Kermit The Frog

I lovd the look of this costume, but wasn't sure what to make of the sizing as listed on Amazon and other external websites. Specifically, it states "Toddler size fits most size 2-4, up to 2 years old, hand wash".

I read that as fits size 2T-4T, which definitely is not the case! I took a chance and ordered it, and the toddler size runs about a 12-18 month clothing size, and on the snug side. It's all one piece, so there is no way to alter it or let it out.

So I will be returning this. Other than that, it is well made and very cute. The material is like felt, and nice and soft, warm for a cool area halloween.

Off to buy some felt and make my own I guess!

Runs a little small but made for a great costume for my little boy. Fit well, help up for the night and I'll prolly be able to consign it in the fall it held up so well.

The costume came in and looked just like it does online. The only minor complaint I have is that the plastic bag the costume came in was really sticky. Luckily the costume was not sticky but I couldn't use the bag it came in and had to throw it away. The sizing is small so I would recommend getting a size up. I have a long baby so the larger size fit great.

My kid had a costume bday party...he was a complete on trend hottie in his costume. The costume fit absolutely perfect, especially considering he is a tall kid. He matched his birthday cake, got tons of compliments, and even extra candy for having such a cute costume. He was one of a kind! (literally no one else was kermit This costume would be perfect if the fabric of the headpiece matched the costume exactly. Radio Flyer Scoot-About

I couldn't decide between the wooden version of the scoot trike or the metal so I purchased both and can compare the two.

The wooden version is very retro and cute, but metal version is a bit larger. My son is tall and will be able to use it longer so that is the one that we are going to keep.

Seat: Metal version has a hard plastic seat, and the screws go through it so they show. The seat has 3 heights. The lowest height is slightly higher than the seat on the wooden version. The seat is also slightly further back from the handlebars than the seat on the wooden version

Wooden version has a lightly padded seat, and the screws do not show.

Handlebars: Metal version has Y shaped bars. The hand grips are already attached. The streamers are made of red and white ribbon.

Wooden version has a straight handlebar. The hand grips are a cheaper plastic and are difficult to slide onto the bar. The streamers are a red vinyl that doesn't hang as nicely.

Bell: Both versions have the same bell.

"Tires": Very similar between the two. The metal version has wheels that are hard and smooth. The wooden version has wheels that are a bit softer and have slight grooves. We have only used the trikes indoors so I don't know how well they would hold up outside.

Overall build: The wooden version does have a wooden body, steering column, and front axle with metal pieces to connect them all. The metal version has a metal body and connection pieces with a plastic front axle.

Assembly: The metal trike was easier to put together, but neither was super difficult. I did end up with an unexpected gap between the frame and the steering column on the wooden trike, but I don't know if that is a defect or not.

I purchased this for my daughter's first birthday. It was easy to assemble, and she was so excited the second she saw it. Seems very stable under her she hasn't turned it over yet. I also like the fact that it's light for me to carry, it doesn't mark the furniture or walls, and with the seat height adjustment, I think we will get a couple years' use out of it.

I gave this to Serenity (almost 14 months) for a Christmas present and she immediately LOVED it! It took her all of 30 minutes to figure out how to get on and off the bike and about a hour to learn how to go forward and NOT just backwards. Her steering isn't quite was she wants it to be, but she's learning! She rides around saying, "vroom vroom" she's too cute! It's a great learning tool for that beautiful Radio Flyer Classic Red Tricycle I get her someday soon!

I didn't have any problems at all putting it together like some of the reviewers did. I did it by myself (without my husband's help) and in about 30 minutes.

It's very light and fits in my trunk so I can take it anywhere easily which is good because Serenity loves it so much. She hasn't tipped it yet, so I would say that it's sturdy. My friend's older kids (6 & 9) think it's really cool and they want to ride it too! People have already asked me where I found it!

I share the views of a couple of other viewers that the quality control could be a bit better. I am handy with tools and it took me about 30 minutes to put together, with the aid of my wife holding a couple of parts. The screws that go on the underside are cheap and would be easily stripped if you tried to tighten them too much. The hole that holds the bolt in the steering fork was off a hair -that took a good 5-7 minutes for something that should take 30 seconds. The plastic seems of pretty good quality. The steering is a bit tight, and should be easier for a toddler. These are fit and finish issues -Radio Flyer, a good Illinois company, needs to talk to their fabricator in China about these issues.

This is a great toy for babies. However, it's kind of boring and small so my lil one loses interest fast. I would probably recommend this for babies under 18 months. That being said it is very durable and has bright colors that are good for teaching colors. This is my go to toy for car rides because its quiet and won't break anything!! It is also a good toy for sand box and dirt because it can be hosed down.

I bought this truck for my one year old grandson; he likes big trucks that make a lot of noise. It seemed like a perfect match, but when I opened the package the truck was only about 1/3 of the size that I thought it would be. If there was a size indicator on the web page, I did not see it. Such a small truck should also be less than $20.00 in my opinion.

Here's the quick and dirty:

How fun is the toy? 4/5 It's a fun toy. The boy plays with it but he's just now adding trucks to his toy collection. Hard to judge but read my story below.

Educational Value = 3/5 I can't rank the educational value of this toy so I'm sitting on the fence, giving it a 3/5. Perhaps it will help with motor skills development and imagination but I'm not calling this an educational toy. That ranking category needs to be optional so potential buyers aren't mislead by falsely low scores. It should have a N/A option.

Durability = 5/5 This is a great soft truck for a little boy to play with. The wheels move freely, it rolls nice on the hard woof floors, the lights are clear and the voice over is easy to understand.

Overall = 5/5 I have to rank it this high to offset the educational score and equalize the rank. I'd probably give it a 4/5 and perhaps down the road it may become his favorite.

The toy was purchased for my 19 month old son for Christmas. He also has the larger Chuck and Rowdy. We accidentally purchased 2 of these between the wife and I so 1 went to our friends son. We didn't wrap this truck because we weren't sure we'd give it to the boy. As with all kids, he found the box, pushed down on the lights and Handy started talking and flashing the tow lights. Our son was hooked. It's a nice toy for a little guy who's just starting to get into trucks. It talks and moves around easily and flashes it's lights. In the end, it's a good toy.

I sure do wish there was a large version of the same toy but we've been hard pressed to find it.

Go ahead and buy it. It will be played with long beyond the age of a 19 month old. Who knows, if Tonka makes a full size version perhaps this little one and the big one could be a father son combo. Ohh the potential.

Rhino Toys Oball Roller

I got this toy NEW @ Goodwill and only because it so $3 . At the time LO was only 7 months old so I took off the handle and he had a huge rattle ball which he loved. Fast forward to 13 months old and he was interested in pushing it back and forth with the handle, keep in mind that he had received the fisher price popcorn rolled for his 1st b'day so he had 2 things to choose from in this type of toy. @ 15 months he still plays with it on occasion and might give it mors attention if he did not have so many other options.The toy will hold its resale value so ...

This toy is beloved by my two year old and 4 year old niece. It is similar to the child's push lawn mowers or push toys, but a little more fun. (Honestly I thought she would find this a little boring, assuming it would be best for babies learning to walk, but apparently not!). Reasons we like this toy:

1) Durable! This toy is holding up to some extreme toddler abuse!

2) Easy to clean

3) The rattle ball is fun & exciting for the kids, but not annoying for us adults!

4) Lightweight and easy to manoeuvre

5) Appropriate for both indoor and outdoor play

6) Non toxic

My 14 month old loves this! It's not too loud, but makes noise when he pushes it. The big roller can go over almost any surface, so he doesn't get frustated by it getting caught on uneven surfaces. The ball can detach and be played with alone. It's very lightweight, so it's easy for him to carry and manuver.

Sevi Pull Along Toy

SO...this toy is beautifully made. It's close to heirloom quality. However, my 16-month old son doesn't play with it all that much. To be fair, he doesn't play with many pull toys yet, so maybe he'll grow into this? I find it such a challenge to predict what my son will like or dislike. If your child likes pull toys, this is lovely, and adorable. It would make a great gift.

The toy arrived with scratch marks all over....The box did not look like an original Sevi, Knock off? I guess you get what you paid for.....very disappointing :(

This is a darling product. My son thought it was great too--until the cowboy's head came off. When this happened, the string that makes the cowboy gallop on the horse disappeared and the toy was useless. It was a sad, sad Christmas present.

Brio My First Sets - Peppo the Penguin

How can you *not* love something that comes with a sticker saying, "Put the little penguins inside me"? The penguin cars are cute. My son digs them. They are compatible with the wooden train sets and have survived a year and a half of toddler abuse with no visible battle wounds. The giant penguin is also cute, but it attracts fuzz, dirt, and cat hair like you wouldn't believe. I try to hide Mr. Penguin because he always looks kind of gross and is a pain to clean.

Alex Jr. Wash and Dry Toy

This toy is wonderful if your infant loves to put toys in buckets and remove them and repeat. It comes with different "outfits" on crinkly fabric. My son loves to push these in the washer top and take them back out again. The "soap bottle" attached to the side of the toy has a squeaker in it that he can squeeze. This is a fun, cute toy.

The only negative is that there are a lot of fabric clothes and that makes it a little more of a hassle for mommy to pick up all the pieces scattered across the living room floor/under the couch when he is done playing.

My daughter loves this toy! I got this for her when she was about 1 year old. She loves taking stuff out of bigger things and putting them back in. The crinkly laundry bits can be quite annoying because my daughter likes to throw them everywhere.

She doesn't play with it much, but it is something different for her every so often. She likes to drag it out every once in a while and plays with the squeaker and throws the laundry around.

The whole thing is very soft, so if you kick it, it won't hurt your toes like a lot of toys do!

Pretty good toy. I'm pleased with this purchase. :-)

It is very safe float and my 21 months old son loves it.

But I ended up repairing here and there with patches after using only 4 times.

The sunshade is too low for my 21 months old.

I wish it was more durable.

The shade sits a little low. My one year old fits in it and can utilize the shade, however, I can't see a taller child fitting under the shade.

My year old son got this for his birthday and although he loves it and it is a neat toy, it really could have been technically executed a little better. I am hoping they send out updates via the USB cord to make his speech a little bit smoother and that they enhance the variety of "elevator" music available

The USB cable that comes with Scout is incredibly short and I would recommend a second mini USB cable if you do not already have one for another computer peripheral. The customization process was straight forward and we had him done quickly. My only complaint is that you have to create a user account and the Internet is required but that's a minor compliant since Scout ships able to be interactive without being customized. Additionally, Scout has volume control on his battery box and is not obnoxiously loud even on his highest volume

Scout is very, very soft and even with the battery box in his trunk, the puppy's body is soft and cuddly. My son spends a lot of his play time with Scout hugging him and petting him.

Scout has three main features Play games, Sing Songs, and Night Songs (the fourth paw is on and off):

The Play Games paw just chatters with your child. Asking him what his favorite color, animal and food is Scout and Baby have the same ones after you program them. Scout also makes animal noises, talks about feelings "I feel happy, show me your biggest smile!" and engages your child in direct dialog.

The songs Scout sings are cute and the choices you make when customizing show up in the songs he sings. Poor technical integration is shown when any of the customized items appear in the songs Scout sounds like he has a speech problem because the tamper and inflection of the customized objects does not match the song being sung. Also, the only music you can customize in this section is elevator music. I would like to see songs with words, more known children's songs (very surprised not to see "Baby Beluga") or the ability to add your own music to Scout.

The Night Songs paw is pretty cool. You click it once and it does 2 mins of the "night" music you choose when customizing continuously. Press it again, you get 5; once more and you get 10. Although our guy doesn't have problems sleeping, it might be a nice touch if your little one has some problems sleeping or being alone in the quiet.

All in all, our only real concern is that Scout might be the first toy he has worthy of being "that" toy he can't live without! We have a competitors talking puppy that drives us up the wall ("TUMMY!").

If you are looking for a chatty puppy Get Scout or Violet.

I agree with other reviewers, not much to complain about for a customizable toy for under $20.00.

PROS:

1) One of the songs Scout sings is really super cute. It's the one that incorporates your child's favorites. When I sing along with Scout my son giggles, it's so darn adorable.

2) I have a glowworm that plays nighttime music for like 15 seconds, not long enough. Scout plays up to 10 minutes GREAT FEATURE!

3) Scout is very soft and huggable.

4) When my son recognizes his name I'm sure he'll appreciate it more, but for now, it's just, well, cool to hear his name come from a toy. Gotta love technology.

CONS:

1) You have to choose a favorite animal, color and food during set up. He's six months old I don't think he has favorites at this point, and if he did, how am I supposed to know what they are?....so I just put in any old thing for now. When I want to change them, I have to plug Scout in and download new options. It should just have all the colors and foods and animals programmed in instead of "What's your favorite?".

2) There is a pretty bad inflection at the end of my son's name (Christian). I have not tried putting other names in there to see what they sound like, but his sounds a little weird.

3) "Let's sing a song about you". Hmm, well, all it does is spell his name with a funky beat behind it. He seems to like it though.

Overall my son seems to like Scout a lot. When he hears his voice he immediately looks for him and smiles when he finds him. The things I don't like about it really don't matter because the toy is not for me, it's for my son and he likes it just fine. For the price, a definite buy.

We got this toy for my one-year-old and she loves it! You can program in your child's name, favorite color, favorite animal, and favorite food. You can also select five songs for it to play and five different lullabyes (for a total of ten personalized songs). My little one's favorite song is the one that spells her name. My daughter got this toy for her first birthday and she hasn't slept without it since! Violet sings her bedtime music and says "x minutes of bedtime music! Snuggle up _name_" It is too cute. In the morning my daughter will play with Violet for around 30 minutes before she wants out of her crib. She is in love with this toy. It's been such a hit in our house that we are getting one for each of my nieces aged 1 year and 2 years old. It was very easy to download my child's name onto Violet. It took less than 20 minutes.

I have a three year old son who just loves this puppy. We programed the puppy and my son lights up every time he hears his name. He even answers the puppy when he talks. Puppy (that is what my son calls him) will ask Brenden if he wants to play and my son says "yes", when puppy says Hi Brenden my son will say "hi". Just love it, puppy goes every where with him. Since my son has a not very popular name, this toy is awesome in saying his name. Even though the toy is rated for age 6 months to 36 months, my son is almmost 39 months old and loves this toy. Great Price too!

The usb cord is short but not a problem with plugging into the laptop. Since it is only used to program the puppy, it's not a big problem.

I would like to hear more songs with words rather then just a beat. The do spell out the child's name in a song and would be better if they repeated the name at the end of it, but my son still loves it. The puppy says snuggle a lot and would be better if the puppy would say hug instead. My three year old didn't fully understand the snuggling part, but he is catching on quickly.

I am going to buy a few more for my younger nephews, since it is such a big hit with my son and both of my nephews have uncommon names too! So this will be a great christmas gift. LeapFrog My Pal Scout
