I am really happy with these flash cards. They are what I was looking for. They are nice and sturdy and my daughter loves them. I didn't realize how hard it was going to be to find flashcards with real animal pictures. Most have cartoons. They also have good facts on the back for her l to learn as she gets older.

What I like about these flashcards is the parental/teacher instructions that come with them. They help you think outside the box when asking your child to make identifications. So, rather than just asking your child to identify what the animal is, you can ask, What color is the animal? or you can lay 3 cards down and ask them to identify, Which animal has fur? or Which animal lives in the water? or What animal lives in nests? or what sound does a peacock make? (which, by the way, is a high and long pitched squeal.) These fashcards have pictures of actual animals rather than drawings which I also prefer. It makes learning more accurate.

Munchkin Twisty Teether Ball, Colors May Vary

As much as my 5mo loves this ball I can't give it any lower than a 5 star review even though there is room for improvement (as I will detail below). The ball has ten different "nubs" on it with different textures around them and my baby LOVES chomping on them. The nubs are each about the width of my thumb which is perfect for him as it is my thumb he would otherwise be chomping on (or his own fist). A drool bib is a good idea to have on babies at this stage as the gnawing on stuff tends to produce a LOT of slobber.

Please note the ball is SURFACE CLEAN ONLY! Because of the twisting apart (where it makes a ratcheting sound that baby likes and isn't too obnoxiously loud like some other toys, it is also a quiet rattle when shaken), water CAN get into it if immersed (doesn't seem to be letting too much drool in though). One reviewer claims that it smells terrible, I have a VERY sensitive nose and ours doesn't smell after about a month of constant use (it is baby's favorite inanimate object, so much so that we just purchased a 2nd one to have one for home and one for car/out & about). A commenter asked another reviewer and didn't get a response yes, it is made in China.

As for improvement, one annoying thing is that there is no way to secure it to prevent it from hitting the floor when baby drops it (which babies love to do even when they DO have coordination enough to hold onto something). I solved this personally by putting a small hair elastic around it(fits between the ratchety part and the nubs so it still twists), then using various things such as pacifier clips and link rings through that to secure it to baby carrier or high chair at a restaurant. Having a way to tether the thing with those linking rings would be a MAJOR improvement IMO and could be achieved by redoing the mold so that one (or two) of the nubs has a hole through it that a holder can go through. It could also be improved by having some gel inside to stay cold after being in the fridge could be cool to even just have that in SOME of the nubs instead of all of them as I bet babies would LOVE to compare the different temperatures in their mouths (and that also lets parents know if it's worth keeping it in the fridge, if baby doesn't seem to prefer the cold nubs over the regular ones). If there was a way to allow it to come apart so it COULD be immersed and washed thoroughly that would also be an improvement particularly for the more germphobic among us. I get around this myself by only immersing it half at a time and being careful not to get the center split into the water, surface-cleaning that part afterward, but I'd love to be able to like press-and-twist like a pill bottle to get it to open and be able to drop it into a dishwasher or at least a dishbin of soapy water. I wouldn't trade the ratcheting sound and such for that, though, as my son gets a lot of enjoyment from that. If that is particularly a big issue for you, it seems there are other one-piece products on the market that may suit you better.

Oh, and we call ours "the Nom Ball" (as in nom-nom-nom current parlance for the act of chewing on something). It's the for-nomin'-on in our house (say it fast, it's a very bad pun)

This teether looks better live, it's well designed and the colors are much brighter than what's shown in the picture. When you twist it, it makes a cool clicking sound. I know my baby would have loved this toy, but the reason I didn't give it to her was that the one I received had what appeared to be dried crusty glue around the seams that would not wash off no matter how hard I scrubbed. I can't possibly give this to my baby to put in her mouth. Too bad. The cost of this item doesn't justify paying postage to return it, so maybe I'll let my daughter play with it when she stops putting everything in her mouth.

Don't buy this toy. It smells toxic like a dead animal. I even tried to clean it with soap and water to no avail. I can't imagine giving this to my twin girls. I throw it in the trash where it belongs.

We received this one as a gift. Our daughter loved it but I was leery b/c of the bad plastic smell it had. It isn't listed as bpa-free so I decided it wasn't worth keeping and opted for safer options.

If your baby is in the stage of trying to crush your knuckles with his gums, this teether is the one for him. Easy for baby to hold. Not as easy for baby to smack you with as with other teethers. Not so big that baby smacks himself, either. I think baby will like this teether best.

Emma Wall Border - 8" x 30'

The wall border is beautiful! The only problem is we ordered an excessive amount because Amazon (and a lot of other places) lists it as 8" x 30" and it is really 8" x 30 feet!!!

I have never decorated a room with wall paper or border but this was very easy to use and put up. It's an adorable print and one roll went a long way. I love it and would recommend this product and pattern to anyone looking for cute nursery ideas.

The design is really cute and was there was enough of it to go around her room (approx 10 X 12), skipping her large closet and door. I'm only giving it 4 stars because I wish that it was a peel and stick. It's just a minor detail, as I realize that most qua lit wallpaper has the glue back. This is they type you need to soak to acticate the glue and then paste it to the wall and use a rag ad a straight edge to ease it onto the wall. It takes a bit of time and is messy, however it looks really nice!

I didn't find this pattern to be nearly as cute in person as it looked online. I ended up returning it. The color that looks tan is actually a green brown. I found it to be kinda ugly.

At first the Farm Roller scared the heck out of my grandchild, but she got over it very quickly once she realized the friendly sounding "thing" rolling towards her was soft and did not hurt. In fact, once I sat her up on her riding horse, she was able to kick it hard and it always came back which was a delightful treat! She giggled and wanted to do it over and over again. Then she was ready to get on all fours and hit it with her hand. It's a wonderful toy to promote crawling and overall delight in a child. I intend to buy more as gifts for my friends who are soon-to-be grandmothers. I like that it can be deflated to store when baby outgrows it. Edushape Discovery Cube Shop Worn Never Opened

I knew from the minute it was opened, it was a mistake. The flimsy foam from which it is made makes it nearly impossible (probably impossible would be more accurate) for it to function in the way it is marketed. The velcro is not sticky enough to stay on the pieces and that eliminates a whole side--throw those pieces away now that they're sticky from the glue on the velcro. The cover for the mirror's velcro doesn't work--eliminate that. The pieces that drop into the box are cute and well made--but the box won't stay together for them to be dropped in. Basically, I have six box sides and pieces that may have been fun if it was durable enough to be used in the way it was marketed. Three weeks after opening it...in the trash!

Playskool Poppin' Park Pink Elephant Busy Ball Popper Toy

Our 11 month old daughter got this for Christmas. Three months later and she's still crazy for this thing. As she grows she plays with it differently. Right now she loves it when the balls hover over the nose because the can pick it up and stuff her hand down the trunk. Elephant cruelty to be sure. I appreciate the fact that the music is bearable and not the normal cheesy baby crud that makes me want to put my head through a wall.

It should come with more balls because they pop out so quickly. I think as our granddaughter gets a little older ( she just turned 1) she will enjoy it even more. We need to find out how to buy extra balls!

I ordered this toy for my granddaughter for Christmas, she was almost 7 months old at the time, and she was mildly interested in it, she couldn't work the toy by herself, but liked watching it for a short time. She is now 9 months old and plays with it some, but gets bored with it after a minute or so. My older granddaughters had fun playing with it and showing her how it worked, they are ages 3 and 8, though. We'll see, as time goes on, if she plays with it more as I suspect she will. Seems to be a well made toy and is a little bit noisy, but not too bad.

I BOUGHT THIS AS A BABY SHOWER PRESENT. MY FRIENDS ARE DOING A BIRD THEME IN THEIR LITTLE GIRLS ROOM AND I THOUGHT IT WAS A PERFECT ACCENT. I DIDNT BUY IT FOR ITS "EDUCATIONAL" VALUE BUT BECAUSE IT WAS VERY CUTE, COLORFUL, SUITED FOR THE DECOR, AND I THINK IN THE END WHEN THEIR BABY ARRIVES WILL BECOME AN ENTERTAINING TOY.

I guess this xylophone looks good on a shelf, but that's about the limit of its usefulness. The packaging is ridiculously over-engineered. It should not take two tool-wielding adults to unwrap a toy. The tone bars are the least musical I've ever heard on any kid's toy. The sound they make is not only unmusical, it's downright unpleasant. But that's ok, because my baby (within the recommended age range for this toy) isn't interested in it anyway, except maybe to twirl the little birdie once or twice. Then she moves on to toys with a little more to offer.

Yeah the Birdhouse is super adorable but that's it. It has a real terrible design. Since the music bars are on top and slant down either sides of the roof it was even impossilbe for me a grown adult to play a song. Not to mention the sound is terrible...My baby hates this toy because she can't play music but she likes to twirl the cute birdie. Get a flat xylophone. I was fooled by the cute looks of it.

Silly Safari Costume, Leopard Costume

Bought for Halloween 2010, super cute, looks like what is pictured, quality is good, easy to get him in and out of the costume. Washed it due to candy all over it and it came through the wash no problem. he liked it enough he wore it a few more times after Halloween.

cute decent material (no costume material is "great" but this was better than some i have seen) the "paws" were really cute and the hat / face had nice detail. Fit as expected.

This costume is adorable and really well made for a Halloween costume. The face is sculpted and looks so realistic. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because one of the ears was sewn on backwards. That was a bummer, but something we'll always be able to laugh about when looking back at pictures.

Looked super cute on a 2 yr old. Had a great Halloween. The sizing was a little difficult to understand and I had to exchange this because I received something smaller than expected. (Look for Rubies sizing chart -small 3/4yrs was cut off of chart) I would say that this costume is good for a one time use and then maybe some further play/dress-up thereafter. However, it will probably need new velcro fasteners and a wash if it is continuously worn.

Fisher-Price Crawl-Along Drum Roll

Looking at this toy, I thought it would be perfect. I thought it would be easy to roll, and my son could crawl after it, I thought he could learn cause and effect by hitting the drum and hearing the sound. Neither of these is true. Like so many electronic toys, this distrats the baby (they do love lights and music), but does nothing to engage them. There is NO mode where you can have the baby hit the drums and have it make a single sound for each time it is hit. The minute you touch the top of the drum, it goes into this really long congo-song. Which the baby likes, but it's not the kind of enjoyment that he gets when he is proud of himself for figuring something out--it's too easy, and it just goes on and on, so I don't think he even associates it with the action. If this toy simply had the ability to change modes so he could do hit it and have it make a single sound for each time he hit it, I would give it at least three stars. The rolling is a total disappointment, too. Because of some weighting issues (which I actually think are deliberate), it won't roll more than 1/2 a revolution. And now that my son is crawling, he does love pushing things, having them, roll, then following after, so I can't see why they would have designed it this way. overall, this is not at all what I had hoped for, and went to the trash. I categorize this as a TV toy: distracting, but not engaging.

I bought this for my son who is just starting to sit up on his own for longer than 5 minutes and who likes to hit. When I put this in front of him, and the lights started flashing and the music began to play, his face turned to immediate concentration. This is the first time I've seen him look this way since he was trying to figure out his pesky hands and arms a couple of months ago. He loved it! For a parent who really loves music and wants to share that with their child, this is one of the more fun musical instrument toys out there for this age-range. I know he doesn't quite get what he's doing, but the joy on his face is enough for me!

When my brother-in-law and his family came to visit for Father's Day, they brought this toy for their 6-month-old to play with. My 5-month-old absolutely loved it, and the two babies enjoyed it together the entire weekend. It was definitely their favorite toy (by far). The best part is the way it can be configured either as bongos, for play, or as one rolling piece, which encourages them to follow and crawl. It lights up and makes noises that delight the little guys. I was amazed how much inspiration it gave my 5 month old, who showed pretty much NO interest in crawling prior to this. It's a great toy! As soon as they left, I had to buy one for my son!

I purchased this for my son for his first birthday. He loved it and enjoyed it for about 2 years when the wires inside broke and it no longer worked. It's not really educational, just push a button and music (one tune, over and over) plays and it lights up, but not on demand, like every time you push a button something happens. It's just push it once, get the long tune and flashing lights. I expected it to be more durable as it was just normal use that eventually wore it out. I think there's a design flaw with the way it's wired because it puts strain on the electronics when you move it into the crawling toy and back to the bongo drums style, eventually wearing through the wires until they break. Because this was (STILL, at age 3) my son's favorite toy, I bought a new drum to replace it, but I went with International Playthings Flash Beat Drum, which is half the price, better for a crawl-along toy (for his little sister), plays more songs, reacts to each hit of the drum with sound and lights instead of just one time, and is overall a better toy. For half the price. And he likes the IPlay one better. I think it's better for younger kids, too. My nine month old loves it, too, whereas she couldn't get the Fisher Price drum to play because she wasn't strong enough. I give this Fisher Price one three stars, but only because my son liked it and really he is super easy to please. For the price, I'd give it more of a 1 1/2.

We got this when our daughter was 4 months, just starting to sit up, and showing an interest in toys with lights and sound. This was the only toy she was strong enough to hit and get a response. She found it pretty entertaining at 4 months b/c it was much brighter, flashier and noisier than the usual toys for this age group. Now that she's 6 month, she is less interested in it. Likes others have pointed out, we were disappointed that this isn't really a cause and effect toy. Hitting a drum does kick off one of two songs. And if you listen closely, continuing to hit the drums actually DOES produce new drum sounds. The problem is that the music is so loud and dominant, you can only just barely hear the drum sounds.

We haven't used this as a crawling toy yet, but I don't see this toy having long-term appeal. I think even my daughter thinks it's annoying.

Musical Lullaby Teddy

I purchased this for my grandson for Christmas. When I took it out of the box it literally fell apart. The rockers fell off and the music didn't work. It was a cute toy and if it had not been for the music not working I probably would have kept it and glued it. I recieved it in a timely manner and was pleased that amazon even refunded my return shipping.

Tek Nek Rockin' Rider Bull

Te Rockin' Rider Bull is just adorable. The smile on my 9 month old grandson's face when he heard it talk and sing was priceless! He can't quite hold on yet, but loves to sit on it and make the riding motions. It's a little smaller than I had originally thought, but measurements were accurate. My grandson is about 29" tall and weighs 26 pounds, so he is big for his age. I can't stop telling people how cute it is. Light and easy to assemble, also. Fours screws is all it takes!

I got this for my son for Christmas and he LOVES it. He's 17 months old and it's the perfect height for him. He got a bigger rocking horse and it rocked too much and it scared him so I appreciate the stoppers on this one that limit how extreme the rocking gets. I also love that it's soft because he can't hurt himself as easily. The song is cute and I love that the mouth moves. Overall a great purchase for my little man.

We got the Rockin Bull and my 17-month old liked it however the quality was pretty questionable, as it tore badly as soon as he sat on it (he's only 22 lbs, so it wasn't him). I'm talking like a 4" rip up the whole seam on its back. So I had to return it and buy a new one, but the second one that came sang a different song (really loud music, really quiet vocals, so I'm disappointed in the different product the second time). But for the money, I guess I can't complain too much. If your kid is older, the rocking movement really leaves something to be desired, but for a young toddler cruising or just barely walking, it's fine.

I really bought this as a joke for my husband to give to our grandson for

Christmas. As my husband road bulls in his younger days. The reviews were not all that great but for the price I thought why not. No it does not rock very well. Very limited on range of motion, however, my grandson does love it. He likes the music and the moving mouth and loves to sit on it and bounce. He is 15 months old. I have a feeling it will be motified soon to rock better.

Jellycat Bashful Lilac Hippo 12"

My daughter sleeps with one of these. We have two in fact, in case one gets messed up or goes missing. Soft, good toy.

Don't get me wrong, I love Jellycat's stuffed animals, the durability and softness is always excellent. I just expected this product to look like the picture, stuffed well. The one I got looked a bit lanky with thin arms and a thin body. Very cute and soft, but not what I expected. I'm returning it for a more substantial Jellycat.

I purchased this as an Easter present for my 15 month-old. It's very soft and well-built. The music is pleasant to the ear, not tinny like some other wind-up musical toys. However, the music doesn't last very long (only about 15 seconds or so) before it needs to be wound up again to play and the movement of the bunny's head is very slow and barely noticeable. That said, my son loves it and it has survived lots of cuddling and being dragged around by the ears quite a bit.

We bought this for our first baby and she loved it so much that we bought one for our second baby. However the second one broke, the turn key broke just after a few times of winding it. So we bought another one in hopes that it would bring more joy to our second child, however we had the same issue with the third one! I am so upset because it is such a cute and cozy Peter rabbit and our first daughter loves it so much and I am sorry that our second daughter won't be able to enjoy hers.

Pull Along Puppy

I will agree this is durable. But my son hates it and I don't like it either. He is very scared of it, more so when it makes noise its weird and annoying. This was a hand me down, we are donating this toy now. There are much cuter, less tippy, pull toys for cheaper.

My kids love this. My niece loves it. Mostly good for 2 and 3 year olds. It's pricey, but seems to last. Ours was handed down and I bet we'll be handing it down again. Very durable.

My 3 year old grandson meet the original puppy when visiting and name him "Super dog". When he went back home, I sent one to him for his birthday. He takes it everywhere yes, everywhere. Bought this for Christmas for my 5 1/2 month old. He's def an interesting doll and he does help to teach colors and shapes. I think my daughter will get better use out of him as she gets older.

My Grandaughter is 12 months old. She loves the doll and so does my three year old grandson. So far the sticking the shapes on the doll are excaping her, but she goes nowhere without the doll. If she loves it....I love it; so would recommend buying! P.S. Purchased a video at the same time and they both LOVE it.

I bought this for my 1 year old nephew, who loves Eebee's show. He watches it over and over, and just sits there cracking up! So, I bought this for him, not sure how he'd react (he's not really into stuffed animals)... but he loves it! He doesn't really do anything with the shapes yet, but he is just as captivated by the plush version of Eebie as he is with the TV version. On a quality note, Eebee and all shapes look like they are made from a good material that will hold up over time.

Lamaze Logan the Lion Play and Grow

I remember the first time I heard Rachmaninoff's Prelude in G Minor and I imagine it's the same way kids feel when they leave the world of black and white panda toys or board books and come face to face with Logan the Lion.

Logan the lion has small teething toys that hang from his paws and he sports a cute little mane that is colorful and entertaining.

One thing i did not expect is that there is a small ball of some sort inside his little head that makes a sound effect similar to growling. A very cute surprise, although it made my daughter a little wary at first.

Overall a great little toy. We use ours to hang on her car seat and it keeps her busy for the parts of the ride she doesn't sleep through! =)

I'd recommend it for any baby!

I bought this for my 5 month old because he loved Freddie the Firefly but had already had Freddie for 3 months so I thought it was time for something new. For some reason he just doesn't seem interested in this toy. It makes a "roar" when you tip him. He likes to put the hands into his mouth but the teething toys are attached to it so he just seems frustrated by it. Lamaze has great toys but this one was not a winner with my little guy. He has had Freddie since birth and still prefers it to Logan. Go figure.

I got this toy for my son when he was about 10 wks old and discovering his hands... I thought the big eyes would be appealing and he could learn to grab onto the rings. He loves it so much, it really helped him build his hand-eye coordination by grabbing the rings, and he just loves to stare at the lion. It makes the coolest "purring" sound when you move it too, he loves that as well. Highly recommended!

I discovered this brand in a baby boutique and found out they are part of the Apple Park family of products. As you know you get a ton of plush animal/blankies when you have a baby. I did not feel comfortable giving our babe any of the ones I was given due to not knowing what they are made of considering she puts everything in her mouth. I bought her this and the matching plush and its the only ones we let her have. Besides being made well they are super adorable. Love Apple Park and Organic Farm buddies!!!!

Got this for a baby shower present along with the matching doll and rattle. I'm glad they are certified organic, as I think that's better for the baby. I love how soft the fabric feels. The rattle is soft enough for a newborn's ears. It's nice to find organics at a reasonable price.

I purchased the 3 matching puppy pieces for my friend's baby. I love the puppy doll with his cute polka dot shorts, the matching ring rattle and the very soft "cuddly" blanket doll. The blanket puppy has polka dots on one side and and a soft choclate brown jersy knit on the other side. I like the four knotted ends as they are great for teething. It also has a rattle in it's head. My friend (and I) are very happy that all the toys are made from organic materials. We both worry about what's in toys the kids chew on while teething. Knowing these are organic is a great relief. It also says, "eco friendly dye", another nice assest about these toys. The construction of all three toys is excellent. They seem sturdy enough to last through all babyhood.
