Wimmer Ferguson Wimmer Soothing Silicone Teether

Wimmer Ferguson Wimmer Soothing Silicone TeetherAfter trying the typical water filled teething rings with little success, we decided to give this a try. My daughter (now 7 months) was 5 months when we got it and loves it from the start. You can refrigerate it, which feels great on sore gums. It doesn't get so cold as to freeze their little hands, which is another plus.

Mary Meyer PufferBellies, PokeyBelly Turtle, 7"

Mary Meyer PufferBellies, PokeyBelly Turtle, 7'I bought this turtle for my daughter for Christmas because she just started saying the word "turtle" and she really likes it. He's kinda small, but very cute. Her grandparents were visiting us and they were in the backseat with my daughter and this turtle, and he suddenly became "up" "down" turtle, he would hover up near the ceiling and then crash down to the floor! Now my daughter says "up" when she sees the turtle sometimes.

He is quality made, feels soft with just a slight rattle of a few beans in the back of him but mostly stuffing, and he is very cute. This is a small turtle, I would recommend from baby age to about 18 months old.

I ordered this for my mom because she loves turtles and giraffes. This was 2 in 1. Its a little smaller than I expected and it was quite expensive to ship. I paid as much to ship it as I did to buy it. Overall a pleasant fast experience but next time I will be sure to double check shipping costs.

This is a stocking stuffer for my 8 month old son for Christmas and I can't wait to give it to him. I am very pleased with the quality of the product. I was a little surprised at the size of the turtle itself, (about the size of a beanie babie) I thought it would be bigger. My 2 year old got to see it before it was wrapped and she loved it. Very pleased!

Baby and Toddler Captain Kirk Costume

Rubie's Costume Co Star Trek Romper, Captain Kirk-ToddlerLast year when my little boy was 22 months old, I dressed him in the Rubie's "Spock" costume, toddler size. It was way too big on him but it was very cute and funny anyway. This year, he is two months shy of his 3rd birthday and I tried the Spock costume on him again and it still fit him. So, I felt safe ordering this Captain Kirk costume in the same size. [Sizing is such a problem with costumes! Especially when ordering online]. The toddler-sized Kirk costume fits well, still a tiny bit too big but pretty dang close to just right. For sizing reference: my boy is now 37" tall and 30 lb. He is in the 37th percentile for weight and the 26th percentile for height.

The costume is slightly better quality than a lot of what I was seeing in the Halloween stores nearby. It is definitely not designed for everyday play but for Halloween events it's fine. Lots of loose threads hanging off everywhere and I know the stitching won't last long. It's kind of a thick combed polyester, not really flannel but very soft. It is one piece that you pull on over the child's head and then the legs have Velcro closures at a few spots along the inseam. I would say it's pretty easy to put on and take off.

It is very very funny and cute to see a small child wearing a Star Trek costume and so much more entertaining than the same old Spiderman and Buzz Lightyear and Winnie the Pooh (yawn!)

This thing started to come apart as soon as I washed it. Luckily I have a sewing machine soo I just reinforced all the stitches but if I had known it was going to fall apart like this I would have just made my own. It would have taken the same amount of time as repairing this one did AND it would have been a better quality fabric. This was made out of thin cheap felt.

Our son wore this costume to a Halloween birthday party and a community fair. He received many compliments. We charged an old flip-style cell phone for him to carry as his communicator. I would recommend having a child wear a t-shirt or shortall under the costume, the closure is a bit rough.

Our 17 month old son (32" tall, 30 lbs) wore the toddler costume, and it was a decent fit, slightly big. We added a toy phaser and black boots to complete the outfit. The costume is a one piece outfit that closed at the top at the back of neck with Velcro, and had Velcro closures through the inseam for easy diaper changes. The material was fairly light, and the cuffs and insignia seemed similar to iron on transfer, not that we were expecting anything sewn on. Quite satisfied for the expense.

Elmer the Patchwork Elephant: Rose Bean Bag by Kids Preferred

Elmer the Patchwork Elephant: Rose Bean Bag by Kids PreferredMy daughter likes very much Elmer, and this toy is OK, but there are 2 things that bother me..

1.The toy has a purple ribbon that's not there in the book and

2.Despite of knowing the size, there's no way getting an Elmer toy and a Rose toy in the right scale both of them (like in the book).

Other than that, It's really educational for kids!

As product is described. Cute stuffed animal, great size and perfect for a little girl named Rose! My niece loved it.

FAO Schwarz 12 inch Teddy Bear Musical Crib Toy - Tan

FAO Schwarz 12 inch Teddy Bear Musical Crib Toy - TanI very much wanted to find a musical toy for a baby's cradle. It should be soft, really beautiful, and with pleasing and delicate music for the baby. I liked the picture, but when I had it in my hands, I loved this FAO Schwartz, I found it quite perfect. I'll buy it again for the next baby in my list.

Looks just like the picture. Soft & cute. Well made. Mine unfortunately doesn't play past maybe 10 seconds. Its annoying for my baby he becomes irritated frm it being so super quick. But once he hears it he's happy for like .... 10 seconds (: That's the only downfall to this cute darling bear.

Selecta Turnello Toy

Selecta Turnello ToyI bought this for my 23 month-old daughter's stocking this year. It's by far the most expensive single item that went into her stocking, but I figured it's so gosh darn cute. I love that little mousie head and all his brightly colored pieces. Besides it's hard to find a toy large enough to not be a choking hazard for a two year old, but challenging enough to not be a complete bore.

Initially I believed it was too challenging for my 23 month old, and wrote a review stating such. It brought her a lot of annoyance and frustration for a time, after having been ignored for the first couple of weeks post Christmas. My initial gripe was that when you screw the individual pieces on, they are really difficult to line up with one another to make the cute formations pictured. Instead the end point where each piece fits tightly up against the one before it leaves the pieces all helter skelter at different angles. This can be remedied by unscrewing all the pieces a bit and re-screwing them back, while holding them all in correctly aligned positions. You have to have big (adult) hands to do this. I played with this toy myself a number of times before I stumbled onto this solution for making them line up correctly; initially I'd thought it was impossible, which is why I kept playing around with it.

In any case, in the past couple of weeks, my 23-month old has learned to screw each piece on, with only minimal difficulty. She actually LOVES this toy. She says he's 'naked' when all his pieces have been removed and proceeds to 'dress' him with the individual pieces. It turns out that she just doesn't care that it's beyond her skill level to line the pieces up correctly. Mouse can totally have frumpy clothes so long as she gets to dress him herself.

So, bottom line, I jumped the gun on poorly reviewing this toy, but sadly Amazon doesn't allow one to up start ratings if you rethink a review. I'd give this guy about a 4.5 in light of my daughter's intense interest in this toy.
