It fulfilled its promise. Nobody plays with it; it is

for looks, more than anything else, but it does the trick, especially the eyes, which seem to follow you, and the whiskers, which look authentic. You can get less expensive versions, but they are not worth the price difference. I rate it ****

The face is very realistic but the body doesn't seem to match the size of the head. It sounds huge and the pictures are a bit misleading for the size of it. Please don't get me wrong, it is very large, but not quite as big as I expected based on the pictures. He loves it so I guess it's worth it.

Kettler Metal Basket for Kettler Kettrikes Tricycles

We purchased this basket for my two year old's Kettler Kettrike Air Happy Tricycle. The basket fits just perfectly on the handle bars. It isn't too large or too small, just right for the tricycle's size and even leaves room for the Kettler bell.

For all of the negative previous reviews, why rate the seller and not the PRODUCT itself here??? If you've got a problem with Amazon, complain about them on THEIR ratings not the basket's!!! This is a great basket! Maybe next time try contacting the manufacturer about accessories before you buy!

Easy on and easy off. Once you have something in the basket or you stop touching it, it won't move even on bumpy terrain, but when you brush by the bike, it may pop off if you hit it just right. I like this and I hate it at the same time. I like that I can take it off so darn easily and it goes back on just as easy (basically it attaches simply by hooking onto the handle bars.)

It's nice having a basket up front, my daughter loves putting her toys, dandelions, rocks, etc. up front where she can see them.

Side note: if you handle bars don't got pretty much straight across, this is the wrong basket for your bike, get a different one.

Works perfectly with the Kettler Air Navigator. The basket is small but then so is the trike! We can put quite a few small library books in it, or a few truckes for the park, so it is practical. We have not noticed any stability issues with the basket and are very pleased with it!

Infantino Barn Shape Sorter

We got this as a gift and it was a hit with my son (6 months old then) right away! He loves to take out the animals and chew on them and he's been able to figure out how to open the barn door to get at the letters inside (8 months old now)! My only complaint is that the barn door doesn't open when the animals are in place. As far as cleaning, we just put the whole thing in the dishwasher when it starts to look dirty, so easy!!

My daughter got this when she was 6 months old, so she was a little young to truly appreciate it for what you're supposed to actually do with it. That being said, she really did enjoy crawling over to it, pulling out the animals and either crawling away with them or sucking on them, and they are large enough that I didn't have to worry about her choking or getting them stuck in throat. Now that she's older, she really enjoys the clock, chickens and spinning thing on the sides. She's not so crazy about the letters-they are difficult to get into the holes unless you line them up just right AND push them in-she doesn't really have the patience for that. She does still enjoy the animals, although most of the time she pulls them off, opens the barn door and plays farm. As a sorting toy, it's lacking, but if you have a child who is creative, like most kids, they will surprise you and end up using it for something other than what it was intended-in this case, playing farm, not learning shapes. Either way, the bright colors are fun and it provides some good entertainment. I LOVE it because it makes NO NOISE!!! So that gives me a break from all the songs, voices, and funny instructions that many of her other toys have.

This is a great shape sorter. I didn't have the previous one, but my daughter did have three other ones and I liked this one the best. You can play with the animals as well as sort the shapes they are standing in and the letters are also for sorting as well as practicing your abcs. It doesn't come with any talking or music-which I happen to really like. It has a little clock on the side and is great for imaginative play. We brought this toy with us on a 15 day vacation and my 18 month old daughter found many ways to play with it besides shape sorting. It is true that if the animals are in place, you can't open the barn door, but that just made her work on taking them out and putting them back in again. We really enjoy this toy.

This is a very simple toy, doesn't make noise, basic shape sorter. And we like it! My son is under 12 months, but he enjoys handling the animals, opening the barn door, and I go over the letters and animal names with him. It's easy to clean, which I like. I'd say this is good from over 6 months to whenever they get bored with it. It's a colorful toy at a reasonable price! (if you get it on sale, like I did!)

My daughter LOVED this toy. It kept her busy many an evening while I made supper. She loves the animals and the letters. She very much abused this and it held up perfectly. I would find the little figures all over the house, cutely arranged in little vignettes. I think the letters were definitely hard at first, but isn't that the point? If you buy a toy and your kid can immediately figure it out, then you've wasted your money. It made a great first birthday present and was very fun to "show" her how to play with it. She spent many careful hours rotating, examining, and trying to fit each piece (in fact, she wasn't satisfied until each animal faced OUT). This toy taught her to persevere and be patient. I definitely recommend this toy to anyone with a young toddler! I wouldn't bother for any kid under a year though. They'll just drool on it or throw the pieces around.

I just purchased this item at a local Target and I have to say, no other toy has kept my son's attention as long as this toy did. The balls pop like popcorn and the"drum" underneath it is activated to pop the balls every time something touches it. There is also a fun spinning rattle in the front that also activates the "popper." And fun music to accompany the movement. The balls can fall through a hole in the side and come out the dinosaur's mouth as well, and you can feed them into the popper with the dinosaur's tail. This is such a creative toy and also helps him with his fine motor skills as he is always trying to grasp the ball. It is also a great "cause-and-effect" toy if your baby is in that stage where he/she enjoys that kind of thing. My son is about 8 months right now and loves it! He has literally played with it for over a half hour and always goes back to it.

Truly the best popper on the market. I bought 3 others and they either did not pop right, or it did not hold a child's interest, or the balls flew across the floor and within 5 seconds all the balls flew out and the child was no longer interested. This new product is the BEST on the market.

We bought this for my son's first birthday, we thought he would LOVE it b/c it looked like a fun toy. Thing is it's kind of very loud and it scares him a little. We often have to show him it's ok to play with it before he plays with it. Once he gets comfortable with the noises it makes he will play with it for a good 30-45 mins (which is a long time for him). Now if it's turned off...it's one of his favorite toys! LOL The little balls are the perfect size for him to grasp and throw. It's great toy to teach kids cause and effect and hand/eye coordination.

My son is so simple. He would prefer to play with a solo cup over his fancy toys. However, nothing keeps his attention for too long. With that being said, HE LOVES THIS TOY! We found our little guy cooing and conversing with this blue octopod that we got as a hand-me-down from another parent. His face will light up each time they meet as if they were old pals and best of friends.

Our son has required corrective casting for his feet and often is in pain, but seems to forget it all when he spends time with the octopus. We brought it to his surgery last week and it helped calm him even though he couldn't nurse for several hours before the surgery. They wheeled him into the O.R. calmly snuggled next to the octopus. We almost panicked when we realized we forgot to take it when we left him with the doctors; when the surgery was over we were so relieved to see it was again at his side in the recovery room.

Knowing we may eventually lose it and how important it has become in our strategies in calming our son, my wife searched the net until she found it here on Amazon just in case we need another. But then would that be just like trying to fix the tragic loss of a favorite pet with a look-alike? We've joked that the octopus may come alive (when we're not looking) to be his little guardian marine friend. Perhaps it's just the very friendly face and the occasional familiar sounds that it gives that ongoing reassurance when we've exhausted our abilities.

At $12, I have no reservations recommending this to a 2+ month old. It is second only to his mother as a primary attachment figure. Sometimes I'm even jealous!

We introduced Mr. Octopus (we call him that too!) to our son around 3 months and he just loved this toy. He couldn't grab yet but we would crinkle the tentacles and play the music for him. Now that he is 6 months, we can't go anywhere without this toy! He can now grab the tentacles and crinkle and chew on them as much as he wants. He chews on all the rings and snuggles with it in his car seat and the music does (most of the time) stop the bored tears. So far, I've just been spot cleaning it but does anyone know if there's a more thorough way to clean the whole body? He gets dropped/thrown on various floors a lot (restaurants) so I take it into the bathroom and dab it with paper towels but I'd just like a more thorough cleaning when we get home. It's soft, no hard edges and I feel safe letting him play with it while I do something else.

I love the ocean and was excited to get an ocean themed toy for my baby. However... no wonder kids these days have ADD! The music/sounds are soooo freaking short! The ocean/bubbles sound lasts ONLY 1 second, then there are 2 songs that lasts ONLY 10 seconds each. You pull, hear the bubbles sound, pull again for song #1, pull again for the bubbles, then pull again for song #2... that's a lot of freaking pulling in only 22 seconds! I am NOT exaggerating... I timed the sounds.

My son's grandparents got this train for him and it seems that he will enjoy it when he is a bit older than 6 months. For now the noises intrigue him, though I worry about the little red door under the music buttonseems like a baby could trap a finger in it. This toy makes interesting noises but one major flaw is the lack of an 'off' buttonI have to work around it when throwing toys in the toy bin because it will start playing when brushed against.

Nice looking toy, but much narrower than expected, not in the proportions of a real train. Pity there's no off button.

My son received this as a gift when he was a little over five months old. At that age, I had seen him puzzle over other toys for a few days before deciding if he liked it or not. However, this toy immediately got his attention. It has a nice smooth finish, and bright colors on the bee body. The wings are a soft, iridescent fabric. It's exactly the kind of toy I want my child to have, and I'm telling my family to buy more for Christmas.

We were given this toy as a gift. It is beautiful, and my daughter enjoys playing with it. She is now 5 months old, and everything goes in her mouth. After a good gumming, I was upset, and disturbed to find that the paint from the bee's face is coming off. While it is nontoxic, I still do not want her ingesting paint. I have sent a complaint to the manufacturer, and will steer clear of Haba products in the future.---update: Haba sent me a new Buzz Buzz toy and reassured me that the paint is non-toxic, however, I didn't feel comfortable giving the new one to my daughter.

Little Tikes 2-in-1 Pirate Ship

My son received this for his 1st birthday and both he and I love it. Not only can they sit and ride on it but also the blue sit lifts up and he can store whatever he can fit in there including our remote control. There is a little red button behind the sail that when you push it, it makes 3 different sounds, one of a ship horn, one of an anchor splashing into the ocean and I can't remember the other one. It is VERY easy to put together and has survived being pushed down the stairs. The little flag on the back does get pulled out easily but also snaps back in easily. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

Got this toy for my son for his 2nd birthday. It's very cute and he loves playing with it! He loves that he can store toys under the seat and then ride it all over the house. However, one of the wheels simply will not stay on the toy, it randomly falls off when my son is riding it and he falls over. This is the only downfall about it. Very impressed with Little Tikes. Got this for my child's first birthday to grow with. Really cool, big enough but not to wide for riding (when she gets bigger). The compartment for storage of the smaller characters is wonderful and one of the reasons I purchased this item. (have limited space and anything with storage is a plus) She is enjoying laying over it and getting items on the other side, just the right height. She loves opening the compartment and emptying it. My 12 month old loves this ship. We bought it on a whim, and he took to pushing it all around the house immediately. He felt the crew of two scurvy dogs was too small, however, so he's added a few Sesame Street figures into the mix.

The sounds are fun, though on the box it suggests that there is a pirate voice. Not the case, just a cannon boom, a ringing bell, and the sound of an anchor dropping into the water. Not annoying at all (and it's been over a month).

The small flag at the back of the ship doesn't stay in place, so we removed it. Otherwise it's sturdy and all in one piece despite hours of rough play from a busy boy!

We bought this for our 2month old...not interested, even scared her a bit due to loud crinkle noise. Fast forward to 3 1/2 month old and BIG difference. She gets VERY excited when she sees it. She is now 5 months and still loves it. She loves the crinkle ears and nose now that she is teething. We have this disc and its great! The girls love the strollercam view of the park and all the animals. I love it because it introduces please and the concept of sharing.

This is the first and only game my 20 month old is currently playing on his Little Leaps. At fist it seemed as though he didn't take much interest in it, but after a few times, he began asking to play and loves the characters and mix of live people/animals, animation and puppets. He'll play for 20-30 minutes before growing bored with it, but it seems almost each time he makes it a little further through the game. We've yet to make it through the whole thing, so im not sure of the full length.

Sassy Baby's Bucket of Beads Scented

I bought this for my infant for Christmas. I have had no problems snapping the beads together or taking them apart again. My daughter loves to play with them, mostly just chewing on them. She loves the container too. I take the top off and set it in front of her and let her get the beads out herself. She loves to play with the lid too, shaking it so that the handle clacks against the lid. My older daughter puts the beads together for her to play with. Overall, I think it was a good investment and she'll get years of use out of the toy.

I specifically wanted the beads show in the photo. My son loved them at his physical therapists office. I've had other pop beads, but really wanted the shape, texture, and color of the ones I ordered. Too bad the ones I got were completely different! And there was no invoice or receipt whatsoever in the package so I couldn't easily return them.

This scented beads smell good and chucky good size for toddler and babies to hold in their little hands. My 15 months age daughter loves it so do my 4 years old. It makes a circle my daughter can't connect them yet since it is hard to do but my age four son can do it. Toddler love to drag beads and disconnect them also likes to wear it on them when it is a big circle. It is a activity to do with your toddler. (mommy + baby).

Learning Hoops

The only reason I do not give this toy 5 stars is that, with all children, it will get ignored for a long time and then rediscovered. I have seldom come across a toy that has completely fascinated my child but when I do, believe me it gets a glowing and honest review. My son immediately took to this toy at a friend's house but ignored it for a while when we brought one home (typical with younger toddlers).

The toy will last you a long time though, I keep it in view in a corner of the living room. It is great for playdates and really does help with coordination it is the first thing the child grasps how to get the ball in the hoop. I think they did a great job in choosing the height of this toy, it's not imposing. As a parent I'm grateful it does not attack my child with overly stimulating loud, brash music and keeps it simple and direct. It will shut itself off pretty quickly ("Thanks for learning with LeapFrog bye bye!") but I think of that as more of a plus than a minus.

It is one of those toys that grows on your child and now my son is 28 months and was sitting in front of it today, pushing the knob inside the basket to get the toy to say the alphabet and he was repeating each letter afterwards.

I have become very impressed with the Leapfrog line of toys (I have not purchased the books though) and along with this toy I would highly, highly recommend the Leapfrog Learning Table (a 5 in my book).

When my son got to be just under eight months this he learned how to put the ball thru the hoop and, of course, he loved the sounds it makes. Soon after, he realized that he could make the sound while still keeping the ball in his hand in the hoop. He absolutely loves this toy he plays with it for hours each day. In fact, he seldom goes anywhere without the little ball in his hand. He is ten months now and plays with a much bigger basketball too, but he never gets tired of playing with this toy. I have been reading about some kids pulling off the net well, I just wnet over to the hoop and tried to pull it off myself and I could not. Either they have assembled it incorrectly or I have a super-sturdy model. I can't think of anything bad about this toy except that my son will probably outgrow it before he learns how to spell.

My one year old son loves it!! He loves to hear the letters and numbers when he places the ball in the hoop. What a great product. His three yr. old sis even joins in on the fun when they play with it. A must have for all sports fans!!!!

The hoop on this toy easily pops off. My child actually had to go to the emergency room because of this toy. She was playing with it as it was intended. The hoop came off which made her lose her balance. She then fell and hit her eye on the hoop. She ended up with a NASTY gash in the crease of her eyelid! If she would have hit any lower she could have actually damaged her eye ball! I sent a letter and received no response. Please do not buy this toy!

This toy is TERRIBLE! We recieved it as a gift last night for our 10-month old son. He tried to peer down through the hoop, which broke off and he fell flat on his face HARD. We called Leap Frog to let them know, and they told us it had been discontinued for this very reason, and that if we sent it in, they would send us the new, improved version....

We purchased this for our 1 year old daughter. My wife put it together this afternoon, and by the evening, the paint is worn from the wheels rubbing. When I looked closer at the wheels, I noticed that not only is there axial play, but about .250" of runout on the diameter of the wheel (the hole for the mounting hardware is drilled off center).

The bottom of the wagon is made of particle board. I realize that the wagon isn't designed for children to climb in, but my children aren't good at reading disclaimers written in legalese that accompany children's toys. I'd gladly have paid an extra $5 for the same thickness of wood as the sides on the bottom of the wagon.

All in all, I'm not dissatisfied enough to ship the wagon back. I however, would give pause before suggesting the item to someone else. .

I did an extensive search for push and play wagons for my 11 month old daughter. I wanted something which can carry toys, so it can be used later and not just in a learning to walk phase. I was considering the Radio Flyer wagon, but my budget decided to go with the Boikido . No regrets.

The wagon looks small for the first sight, but it is the perfect size for a toddler. I bought it for her 1st birthday, but it arrived 3 weeks earlier and I decided to give it to her, she was already very eager to walk with assistance. In the first hour she played with the maze on the side of the wagon (very cute!) then started to push the car walking on her knees and after 3 hours she figured out how to stand up and started to walk with it with a big smile!!!

She uses it every day for several hours and in two weeks she developed a confident walking.

The wagon is very well made, nicely painted and sturdy. The paint comes off where the wheels touch the wagon due to the friction, but it's typical with every wooden toy, so if it bothers you buy plastic.

It does not tip off when she stands up and brakes if she pulls back the handle.

We are very happy with the purchase and would recommend to buy it!

I have spent hundreds if not over a $1000.00 on toys for my 11 month old daughter only to find that she has had absolutely zero interest in them. I accidentally came across a listing for push toys, did some research and came across a review similar to my dilemma. The woman who wrote the review said that this push toy is the only toy her daughter is interested in. That being said I had to give it a go, and to my amazement as well as my husbands she took to it immediately and began doing laps around the house. This toy has improved her confidence and encourages her to walk. It is amazing!!!! When she isn't walking she is playing with the little mazes on the sides. My daughter does not walk on her own but with the push toy she is a whiz! It is so cool! The only reason I did not give this wonderful toy 5 stars was because we had an issue with one of the wheels, which we fixed with a drill, our wheels don't have the little pink circles as pictured and when taken outside and used on cement the paint does chip off the wheels. So, one mechanical issue, one cosmetic issue and one durability issue. Other than that I am impressed and pleased.

I bought this for my daughter when she was 9 months old because she was crawling a lot and standing up by holding on to our couch and other furniture, but couldn't walk on her own yet. I had read other reviews and agree with some of the other points made:

-slightly difficult (but not impossible) to assemble

-bottom of wagon is cheap lightweight material, unlike the rest which is solid wood.

-rubber strip on the wheels good for hardwood floors

-maze on sides are fascinating for her to play with

-I fill it up with toys for her (carefully so I don't damage the bottom) and she loves to sit and play

-perfect height for her to hold on to and walk

-it took her a few tries before she could use it properly as a walker, it fell back on her at first or moved too quickly and she fell, but once she figured it out it gave her freedom to walk and she expressed squeals of joy.

I suspect we will get a lot of use from this wagon walker for many months ahead...maybe years.

My only complaint was that the wooden handle bars arrived warped out of shape and I thought I was going to have to return it, but my husband went ahead and assembled it anyways and it still screwed onto the wagon; so the handles are crooked not parallel to the ground, but my daughter doesn't mind, it still works and she loves it.

Just received this product. Unable to put it together due to some hardware issues (stripped bolts). Tried to contact boikido through their website, and it won't allow you to enter a US-based email (the company is French). My son seems to like the colors and the texture of the wood, so I guess he might just have to play with it and not use it as a wagon.

Addendum 6/22/09: Finally was able to contact Boikido customer service via an email address I found on the website. Once the message got to the right place, they were very responsive and sent me replacement screws right away. I would give the toy 5 stars now.
