This toy was purchased for a 10 month old boy. It has no dangerous parts to pull off. It is light and easy for him to to grab, shake and wave around. He is attracted to the bright colors. It was a successful gift. I like it myself because it is unusual and artistic. I will check back with his parents in a couple of months to assess durability, but is has remained intact since Christmas. (It is now mid-April)

Baby and Toddler Captain Kirk Costume

Last year when my little boy was 22 months old, I dressed him in the Rubie's "Spock" costume, toddler size. It was way too big on him but it was very cute and funny anyway. This year, he is two months shy of his 3rd birthday and I tried the Spock costume on him again and it still fit him. So, I felt safe ordering this Captain Kirk costume in the same size. [Sizing is such a problem with costumes! Especially when ordering online]. The toddler-sized Kirk costume fits well, still a tiny bit too big but pretty dang close to just right. For sizing reference: my boy is now 37" tall and 30 lb. He is in the 37th percentile for weight and the 26th percentile for height.

The costume is slightly better quality than a lot of what I was seeing in the Halloween stores nearby. It is definitely not designed for everyday play but for Halloween events it's fine. Lots of loose threads hanging off everywhere and I know the stitching won't last long. It's kind of a thick combed polyester, not really flannel but very soft. It is one piece that you pull on over the child's head and then the legs have Velcro closures at a few spots along the inseam. I would say it's pretty easy to put on and take off.

It is very very funny and cute to see a small child wearing a Star Trek costume and so much more entertaining than the same old Spiderman and Buzz Lightyear and Winnie the Pooh (yawn!)

This thing started to come apart as soon as I washed it. Luckily I have a sewing machine soo I just reinforced all the stitches but if I had known it was going to fall apart like this I would have just made my own. It would have taken the same amount of time as repairing this one did AND it would have been a better quality fabric. This was made out of thin cheap felt.

Our son wore this costume to a Halloween birthday party and a community fair. He received many compliments. We charged an old flip-style cell phone for him to carry as his communicator. I would recommend having a child wear a t-shirt or shortall under the costume, the closure is a bit rough.

Our 17 month old son (32" tall, 30 lbs) wore the toddler costume, and it was a decent fit, slightly big. We added a toy phaser and black boots to complete the outfit. The costume is a one piece outfit that closed at the top at the back of neck with Velcro, and had Velcro closures through the inseam for easy diaper changes. The material was fairly light, and the cuffs and insignia seemed similar to iron on transfer, not that we were expecting anything sewn on. Quite satisfied for the expense.

My daughter loves pushing it around. HOWEVER. Due to insufficient packaging, the red paint on the wagon was already worn off in several places. I kept it, because it was a Christmas present, but was dissappointed in the oversight. The colors are fun and bright and it's very sturdy. I was just sad that the paint was worn, and it could have easily been avoided.

my son just doesn't get it. we have had it since he was 3 months and he is now 11 months. I bought it because I thought he would like to chew on the antena. But he has maybe once.

It is really well made, nice materials an had crinkley leaves and a bell. It has held up to numerous washings (he has spit up on it quite a few times) and still looks brand new. No fading or pilling. I would reccomend trying it out. It does look fun and anything haba is GREAT

Sassy Fill and Spill Barrel

I love this toy and so does my eight month old baby who has been playing with this toy for about a month. Sassy's Fill and Spill Barrel really lives up to its name. Right now my baby girl enjoys spilling the contents out of the barrel. She loves to "shake, shake, shake" its fun contents (squeeker toy monkeys, yellow plastic bananas and colorful plastic barrels) out of the larger clear barrel. And her "shake, shake, shaking" of large barrel makes the most entertaining "rattle, clank and thump" which keeps her entertained. The success of this toy is the design of the large clear barrel and its lid which is perfectly sized for little hands to grasp, turn around and inspect. Based on our experience, it does seem to have advance our baby's dexterity. I can easily see this toy getting a lot of play time for many more months as my child grows and develops. I highly praise Sassy's Fill and Spill Barrel and plan on giving it as a gift to other families with babies six months and older.

This really is a great toy for those of you who have children who love to empty and fill things back up. But really, all that's inside are 3 plastic bananas, 3 plush monkeys, and 3 plastic barrels. Not a whole lot of variety, although they are all different colors. You'd be better off recyling a plastic jug or a shoe box of some sort and fill it with misc small toys from around the house.

This is one of the toys that gets put out everyday for my girls to play with. They are 9 months old and got this for Christmas. The play with every part of it from the lid and container to the bananas, barrels and stuffed monkeys inside. They like taking the toys our and putting them in and they like chewing on the plastic bananas. This was a good price and I am happy with my purchase. I am sure we will get a lot of play out of it and I love that it all goes back in its neat container at the end of the day!

This toy is so simple, but my 9 month old loves it & has since he was 6 months old. The squeaking monkeys always catch his attention and make him smile. He crawls to get them as fast as he can. He loves putting things into the barrel and taking them out. The barrel being clear makes it a bit more challenging for him since he can see what is inside but can't get it unles he reaches inside. All around, this is a great toy, especially for the price. Also, it seems to appeal to a wide variety of ages as we took it to a 4 year old's birthday party and kids of all ages wanted to play with it. I like it so much that I've ordered a 2nd one to keep at my parents' house.

My daughter received this toy for Christmas last year. She loved playing with it. But it didn't even last a year. I had to change the batteries frequently. In fact, of all of her toys (she's 19 months old), this is the only toy that has required me to change the batteries, and I have changed them probably four times in the last 10 months. She doesn't play with this everyday, either. I will say that even though it is now dead, she still likes to use her imagination and pretend to talk on the phone. But she is disappointed she doesn't hear a quack when she pushes the duck button or a ribbit when she presses the frog button.

Vtech is strange. We got another vetch toy (cow walker) that was too loud with no option to lower the volume so we returned it. Got this and thought the battery must be old because it was so quite. Changed the battery the day I got it and still so quiet. You can hardly hear it. Understand that the kids will put it by their ears and you don't want it too loud but at least you should be able to hear it. May return it if it can't hold my sons attention.

Sunni Clutching toy

Sunni was our introduction to HABA. We had a circumstance where Sunni needed to be repaired due to no fault of HABA's. We didn't want to lose the toy so I called their USA offices and asked about repair services. HABA replaced Sunni, no questions asked.

Sunni's "rays" are moveable. My 12 month old daugher likes to clutch one of her rays and shake Sunni. There is a tiny bell embedded on the back of Sunni so when my daugher shakes it, she hears the clacking of the wood and the ringing bell. This is a great toy that brings some sunshine to your toy basket and a smile to your noise-motivated child. So glad we were blessed to have it replaced.

I originally bought this wooden toy for my 1 year old little girl because we needed a new teething toy and it is just so cute! Also, it is made by Haba (always a reliable company). Now that we've had it a while, we love it for multiple reasons:

The tiny bell inside jingles, but it's just loud enough to hear if you are holding it --in other words, it's not at all annoying.

It's durable. We've had it for about 4 months now and it still looks like new. The paint has not chipped off despite my daughter's constant gnawing/gumming.

Non-toxic

The "sun beams" move around so she can twist them and pull on them.

When we put it on a hard surface, it spins around like a top would. She thinks this is hilarious.

Highly entertaining (for my baby at least). She will sit and play with it for 15-20 minutes at a time and she carries it all over the house.

K's Kids Learning Shoe

Received this as a gift about a month ago. Keeps my 9 month old entertained. He likes to chew on the shoe strings and look at all the other features. I imagine he will find more to do with it as he gets more coordinated. So far he loves it....which means I love it.

Right now the baby loves the mirror the best but as she plays with it she's become more interested in the button, the velcro and the laces. Great toy a baby can grow with.

Filino Pull Toy

This toy is lots of simple, colorful, fun. Toddlers love to pull it around, and it's very safe because they use kid-safe dyes/paints, and the posts that the beads go on fold down. The only negatives are that it is smaller than I had anticipated (which my toddler doesn't care about at all) and I had to take away the very smallest beads because they could fit in my child's mouth. But he doesn't know the difference and we've had this toy since December 08, and he still plays with it off and on. It's nice to have an alternative to the plastic junk that is everywhere, even if it is more expensive.

I bought this for my 9 month old daughter about a month ago, and she has loved playing with it every day since. She has many fine toys and this is definitely one of her favorites of all time. It keeps her happilly occupied for quite some time.

Before I gave it to her, I got some claification on why the 18+ month sticker was put over the 12+ month label This has to do with some new testing in Germany that shows that babies under 18 months have not yet developed the reflex to automatically expel an object that they have in their mouth if they happen to fall asleep (and possibly just lay down, I can't remember) with the object in their mouth such that it could block their breathing just while laying in their mouth. No laws have been enacted in Germany in response to this testing, but Selecta decided to change their labeling proactively. The pieces of this toy do not fit through a choke tube and therefore are not small enough to pose a choking hazard, but I did find that my daughter could put the two smallest pieces all the way into her mouth (barely), so given this testing I decided to put those two pieces aside until after she is 12 months old (tbd). This new testing from Germany applies to just about anything a child can put all the way in their mouth and potentially fall asleep with and I applaud Selecta for being so proactive with safety labels. The key with this or any other toy with mouth sized pieces is simply to not allow a child to fall asleep with it nor to keep it in a crib.

That said, this toy is very well made and very safe, it even has bendable stacking posts that give way if fallen on. My daughter absolutely loves to chew on all of the pieces, I think they feel great on her gums, especially the dog's ears (she even prefers chewing on this to Sophie, and she loves Sophie). She also loves to bang the pieces together or with her maracas or on a table to make music and she often crawls around the house with a piece in her hand. While she isn't old enough to stack the pieces herself, she loves watching me do it and loves promptly unstacking them. The best part of the unstacking fun is that she has discovered that she can launch the pieces and make them fly a few feet by bending and then letting go of the posts, which makes her laugh every time. She also enjoys pulling the toy around with the string, and yes, as the other reviewer mentioned, the heads do fall off if she doesn't pull straight, but I don't think this takes away from her enjoyment of the toy at all. Afterall, she's only 10 months old.

Had been looking for a pull toy. This one tries to be both stacking and

pull toy but it cannot be used as a pull toy because the dog/cat heads

keep falling off. It may work as a stacking toy, were it not for the

wheels and pull string.

Good construction, but not what we were looking for.

And the box print says recommended for 1+, but came with

a sticker saying it should not be used for toddlers under 18 months,

as it has "potential of causing injury in area of throat".

Fisher-Price Giggle Gang Plush Toy - Pink

I recommend the "quiet" mode. "Off" works good for long car rides, too... Though seriously, my daughter loves this toy and it's not annoying to listen to. Her daycare provider gave it to her as a Christmas gift and she's still delighted with it.

I bought this for my six month old and she loves it. Its soft and not as annoying as I thought it would be.

Petite Panda Infant / Toddler Costume

This costume is cute and my daughter looked adorable but there were two problems the first is that the costume is like a big lint roller, EVERYTHING stuck to it and our dog has white hair so this did not look very nice. I tried to use a lint roller to clean it off and it wouldn't work, because the hair just kept sticking to it so I actually had to pull of all the hair piece by piece before we went out.

Other problem is when I washed it, it got all these fuzzy things all over it and the material almost seemed to change after being washed... I washed ir once and it looks like it has been worn and washed a million times, I hate stuff that does that. good thing we only needed it for one night.

The costume is cute, but I wouldn't buy another from the same company. I think next year I'll go to the Disney store I've heard good things about there and Target having cute costumes.

I ordered this costume for my granddaughter who was 11 months old at Halloween. She looked great in it and it was perfect for her.

I bought this toy for my girl friend. For some reason I don't fully understand, girls like huge bear toys.( Real bears in wild life could and did kill human every year)

It's huge, cute and she seems to be satisfied when hugging it. But there is one program with it: It loses fur/hair continually!
