Kushies Zolo Ha Ha

This is a cute rattle. My daughter is interested in it despite the previous review. Toys are toys. Sometimes kids are into them sometimes they're not. Either way this rattle is cute. I also like that it has the crinkle material to add to her sensory experience.

I purchased these rattles for my daughter after reading a rave review about them. I was quite disappointed. My daughter had little if any interest in them. They are made of that type of fabric that all hair and lint sticks to so anytime I gave them to her I had to first use the lint brush on them. They were OK I suppose but there was just nothing special or interesting about them. They became one of those items that sits in the bottom of the pile, unused and untouched-but still hairy. I would pass on these.

The Zolo Haha mirror toy has a really small mirror which produces images of significant distortion. May be good for another perspective if a baby has other mirror choices but this should not be a child's only mirror toy.

Cuski Organic Baby Lovie Blankie

The description of this item is completely wrong. It is 80% cotton (not listed as organic on the packaging or the item's tags), 20% polyester, and the head is polyurethane foam. I am very upset that Amazon would allow such false advertising. Families searching for an ORGANIC toy will not want such a toxic lovie for their baby.

This item at first glance seems so simple, you might be quick to pass it by. But it is SUCH a fantastic product, I intend to make it my go-to baby shower gift! I received one for my four month old son. The directions instruct for mother to sleep with/hold the doll for a period of time to "transfer" scent. The idea is when the baby is then snuggling near it at night and begins to stir, they smell mom and settle. My son even at four months old does in fact seem to respond to it and has slept with it for two nights now. When awake, he loves the dolls texture and giggles at it's expressionless face (which I love, being a fan of Waldorf style dolls, as well). It is a high quality product and I highly recommend it!

Olivia Costume

I ordered this halloween costume for my 4.5 y.o., an avid Olivia the Pig fan. Although my expectations are never very high in terms of the quality of these types of purchases, even I was disappointed when this costume arrived. The shirt and jumper are one piece and not two (which is clearly indicated in the costume description and not a problem itself), but the jumper straps aren't even fastened to the front of the jumper. Instead the straps are sewn onto the shirt about an inch and a half above the top of the jumper. In addition, although we bought the small size, which is supposed to fit sizes 4-6, the elastic at the top of the leg warmers is too tight around my daughter's thighs. She is 39lb. and 42", and at the low range of size 5 for most clothes. I've noticed other websites offer a "deluxe" Olivia costume that has a seperate shirt and tights instead of leggings. I think we are going to give it a try, even though it's priced at about $40 and appears to be manufactured by the same company. I recommend anyone else looking for an Olivia costume do the same, rather than trying to save $10 like we did on this costume.

The disappointing part was the ears. The rest is about what I expected cheap, polyester fabric. But the ears in the picture appear to be some kind of plastic when actually they are cheap fabric also, and the way the headband is constructed the ears don't stay in place but instead travel down the sides. Wanted to get a cute Olivia costume for my daughter, but this wasn't it. Oh well. Also the small size fits my daughter and she's 2 1/2 (in 70% percentile for height/weight, wearing 2T or 3T clothes). Probably will fit for another 6 months or so.

I let my 4yr old choose her halloween costume which she debated between this and a dinosuar. After much deliberation she chose Olivia and glad she did. It was such a simple costume, nothing restricting or hard to put on. No make up was needed and i was able to have her wear someting underneath to keep warm.

The material is polyester so it was thin and not warm. Suprisingly it was not that super itchy polyester, it was actually ok material!

Early Years Rocket Baby Activity Set

I bought this for my daughter (11 mo.) because she really enjoys the Melissa & Doug-type fill and spill toys. She's at an age where she LOVES unpacking things (my purse, her diaper bag, my husband's gym bag), so I was hoping to give her another, more age-appropriate alternative. This toy captured her attention right away. The flying saucer and shooting star rattle when shaken, the moon crinkles, the alien is a bean bag, and the puppy barks, so there are lots of things to do and explore. My daughter smiles every time the puppy barks, and she seems particularly fond of the moon and the star.

We have already found lots of ways to play with this toy. She is very interested in learning the names of objects right now, and this toy is great for that. She'll point at one of the pieces, we'll name it ("star"), she'll move on to the next one ("puppy"), and so on. She also likes to practice "sharing" by giving me one of the pieces and waiting for me to to hand it back. And, of course, the pieces are fun for throwing, shaking, and chewing. So far, we've gotten a lot of play out of it.

The only drawback is that it's tough for her little hands to pull some of the pieces out. If you stuff everything into the rocket, she can get the objects at the top without much trouble, but she can't pull them from all the way down in the bottom. The manufacturer's suggested age for this toy is 12+ months, so she may just be a bit young for it. In the mean time, we help her get the toys from the bottom of the rocket, or we put them in a larger container for her. Overall, she enjoys this toy quite a bit.

This is an awesome product. Includes 5 little space-theme toys that all fit inside the rocketship, and there's even a window so the "astronaut" can peek out. Every piece does something (rattle, crinkle, etc.) so it all holds my 1 year old's attention. He loves taking all the things out and putting them back in. Plus there is a decent mirror on the bottom of the rocketship too, plus a ring on top if you wanted to sttach it to a car seat, stroller, etc. Couldn't find anything like this in the toy store but very glad I found it here.

I bought this turtle for my daughter for Christmas because she just started saying the word "turtle" and she really likes it. He's kinda small, but very cute. Her grandparents were visiting us and they were in the backseat with my daughter and this turtle, and he suddenly became "up" "down" turtle, he would hover up near the ceiling and then crash down to the floor! Now my daughter says "up" when she sees the turtle sometimes.

He is quality made, feels soft with just a slight rattle of a few beans in the back of him but mostly stuffing, and he is very cute. This is a small turtle, I would recommend from baby age to about 18 months old.

I ordered this for my mom because she loves turtles and giraffes. This was 2 in 1. Its a little smaller than I expected and it was quite expensive to ship. I paid as much to ship it as I did to buy it. Overall a pleasant fast experience but next time I will be sure to double check shipping costs.

Thought this block was cute, but it has some faults! I would not have bought it had I been able to test it out personally. It's not very musical, only one nursery rhyme and some sounds. It would easily become boring. Also, to replace the batteries is somewhat difficult.

Brio My First Sets - Shorty the Dog

Pretty expensive toy and from a famous brand but it doesn't really seem like a train at all and it has never entertained my kids for more than a few seconds. My son is 2 and loves trains, was given this at 9 months old and it has never been a favourite. Plus the magnets are pretty weak.

Well, unlike the other review, ALL three train cars DO fit inside our blue dog's zippered tummy. So we can bring this set, all zipped up, to the Pediatrician's office for entertainment. (If you want to bring track, you can rubber-band a circle's worth to the dog like we do.) Perhaps uneven production quality is why these have disappeared from store shelves. I don't understand why there are magnets in the tips of the ears, but hey, maybe it's for more 'open-minded play' than my grown-up (closed-minded) brain can process. I always like the quality and feel of Brio's trains, and the paint and rolling action is as good here as ever. The plush doggie, however, is sewn in a stylized zig-zag contrast thread stitch, which I feel somewhat detracts from his overall appeal, and he is not machine washable according to the tag, which is a rather fatal flaw in a child's toy, in my opinion.

I bought this for my 15 mo. old son so that he would have some trains of his own to play with while his 2.5 year old brother plays with his trains. It has met that purpose. The two dog cars and the one ball car (the ball rotates while it moves) are great. They are cute and sturdy and the boys know whose cars are whose.

The things to know ...

1. None of the cars fit in the zippered pocket of the plush dog. So if you're counting on that feature know that it's not what it's cracked up to be.

2. The bone leash does a good job of pulling the cars (though my son is not interested in doing that). While there are mangets on the bone and the plush dog the magnets are not strong enough to pull the dog. (You can tuck the bone into the dog collar if that really matters to you)

In summary the cars are great, so if you're comfortable with the price for 3 cars then I'd recommend this toy. While the plush dog is cute, it doesn't do what it says it will. My son isn't playing with it either. So, if you're drawn to this predominantly for the plush dog, I can't recommend it.

Bought this for Xmas stuffer for my 9 month old. She is teething like crazy n I thought this is cute to chew on. The purse has little beads in it but I think she has not even paid any attention to it. The two extending toys r easy to grasp n bite on. One has a little mirror but it's so little that she has not even notice she can see herself in it. Easy toy to play with.

I love that these frog wash mitts are organic cotton and they are very cute. My daughter is still a little young to play with the small wash mitt in the bathtub (she is only 5 months old) but I do use the big wash mitt to wash her. I've seen other organic cotton wash mitts and I think these mitts are priced fairly in comparison. Also the tag says they were made in Sri Lanka, I prefer American made products. My frogs look exactly as pictured but I did order them last year so maybe they changed their product and didn't update the picture. (Another reviewer mentioned they did not receive what was pictured)

Got this for my daughter for christmas. Somehow one of the bottom buttons is stuck and won't come outit's broken, and won't play anymore music. She's only 19 months so she's not really powerful enough yet to have this toy break only a month after getting it. All the other buttons work great but that one just doesnt. was actually kind of disappointed.

Needs a louder volume in all parts that makes sounds .Very hard to hear the recordings or the phones built in sounds.

This is a pretty good toy cellphone for kids. Its big feature is that it lets you record a message that the kids can then play back with a button push. It has a nice feature that there is a hard to find lock button that locks in the message. I have two complaints about this, it's one of our kids go-to toys for the car so it gets a lot of wear, and it only seems to be moderately durable, we are on our second one. One feature I wish this has is the ability to record multiple messages instead of just one. Another thing I like about it is that when you close it calls back with a ring after 20 or so seconds, its a cute feature and very fun for the kids.

like all of you I'm sure, your babies are fascinated with your phone. Well this is a good alternative to have them play with. Being a flip up style phone it is a little out of date nowadays w/ smartphones, but your baby wont know the difference.

The numeric keys make a simple 1 note tone when you press them (like a real phone), the * and # keys play a little music (soft music, not annoying), and then there are two top buttons above the number keys: one plays two phrases (one kid asking to play, one mother-type voice saying I love you) and the other key allows you play anything you record. It is nice having the ability to record your own voice for your baby to hear.

I really appreciate that the phone pretty much only makes noises when the baby actually pushes a button. I have so many other toys at home that advertise teaching "cause and effect" through noises, but in reality they just play music/make noise constantly. The baby surely has no idea what he/she is doing is making the noise. But with this phone, press a key and it makes a simple note. That's it. Very clearly demonstrating that the button press makes the noise.

There are some cons in my mind: the record feature has a "lock" at the bottom of the phone so that your recorded message doesnt get erased. This lock is pretty easy for a baby to switch on/off. Also, the clamshell design has no lip/groove for the baby to easily open the phone. Sometimes my little girl brings me the closed phone in an effort to have me open it for her. One more note --any time you close the phone, the phone rings. If you dont "answer" it, it will stop ringing and be off. But it's still kind of annoying that it rings EVERY time you close it.

We have a couple play phones, my son (16 months) is obsessed with phones, everything gets put to his head as a phone. He loves buttons of all kinds too.

This phone is a bit better than some of the other options out there. When you hit the number buttons it beeps, just like a real house phone. When you close it, it rings, prompting them to open it again (this only happens once so you can leave it close, but is something to be aware of if you're trying to put it away without your child noticing, lol). The plus on this is that it can be put away without the buttons accidentally getting pressed (or toy stepped on at night in the dark making noise when you just finally got your child to sleep etc).

I love that you can record your own short message on the phone, it also has a button at the bottom to lock the recording, so it doesn't get written over accidentally.

Other buttons play music or have other voices talking saying 'hello' etc.

I was not disappointed in this grasping toy from Melissa and Doug. Initially I was somewhat concerned about pinched fingers getting caught in joints or bands for hair to get caught in, but we have had no such issues. The dinosaur is very well constructed and there is little to no possibility of pinches. My daughter is easily able to twist and manipulate the individual segments and has remained amused by this toy over the past two months. There have been no issues with chipping paint or broken pieces (this is a toy that stays in her play pen so its survived quite a few tosses onto the hardwood floors).

I recently purchased this toy for my 8 month old son. He has other Melissa & Doug toys that he loves and I was very excited to give him this new toy. When it arrived I was very pleased with the design, bright colors and I was sure he would love it. The first time I gave it to him he was thrilled!!! He loved holding it by the neck and the tail, swinging it around and putting the feet in his mouth. I was very pleased with my purchase and knew that he would get lots of use out of it. Then to my horror I realized that his mouth was full of paint chips!!! He has put the feet in his mouth a couple of times for under a minute total, but that was enough to soften the paint and cause it to start chipping. After taking it away from him I closely examined the toy and discovered that I could remove large chunks by rubbing my fingernail lightly over the surface. I immediately returned the toy for a refund. When packaging this item for return I also realized that the package states that this toy is for 1+ years. The Amazon listing states that it is for 6 months and up. Over all I would not recommend this toy for any young child due to the paint issue, otherwise it would be 5 stars.

this toy is ok. bigger then i expected and the colors are not as bright (it actually is only painted on front/ backnot edges). it is solid construction and my child loves to chew on it. the problem is that his fingers get pinched in the bends all the time! i thought it was just himbeing that he is 6 mos but my niece is 13 mos and the same thing happens to her. i would say this toy is meant for preschoolersdefinitely not babies!

John Deere - 1:16 X748 Lawn Tractor With Cart

This little tractor is built like a tank. It feels like a brick in your hand, way heavier than you'd think. It has nice detail, too, like working steering and a flip up seat. I was very surprised to find that the cart is metal too, with a dumping action. The tiller is plastic though. My 4-year-old has been playing with this tractor almost daily. It's very cool to see it parked next to his 1:16 scale farm tractors, as they are the same scale.

This "toy" was actually purchased for my husband and he absolutely loves it. There are parts that come off and are interchangeable, so I would not advise for small children.
