Aurora Plush Baby 12 inches Yummy Blue Bear

Aurora Plush Baby 12 inches Yummy Blue BearYou can tell by the dimensions that this teddy isn't super big, but it makes up for it by being super soft and super cute. I ordered a larger bear of a different material and style, but I like this one way better. The material is very soft, almost silky, and it seems to be well made. There are no noticeable defects. I will be giving it as a baby gift. After I received this bear, I ordered the pink one for a baby girl coming in 2012. I am very happy with this purchase.

This is the second plush bear I've purchased for my now 2.5 year old son. I gave it to him about six months ago after Blue Bear the First needed to be retired. I was worried because the tag on the old one had frayed (Bear One was getting a bit ratty after several washings), so I don't know who made it and I couldn't find another exactly like it. Fortunately, my boy took to his new, clean, fluffy bear immediately! Some days later, my boy found Bear One in the laundry, carried it around for part of a day, and pulled one of the plastic eyes out with his teeth! So I was very glad that he'd already taken so well to this second Bear. The eyes are sewn on (they look to me like very tightly sewn patches, but they might be embroidered like the nose), the neck ribbon is very secure, and the tag looks sturdy too (I haven't needed to wash it yet, amazingly). The size seems just right for him (he has a much larger brown bear, about 30 inches, but prefers this one). The color is a lovely light blue, not grayish like the photo here. I think I'll have to order a back up or two!

My son loves this blue bear. It lasted about a year of daily cuddles before we had to order blue bear number two. The bear is super soft and cuddly. Also at 12 " it just the right size for a baby or toddler.

The bear is more of a soft baby blue, not like the grey in the picture. It's very cute. The ribbon is stuck in place, the eyes are thread, fabric is like fluffy silk xD Overall very cute and cuddly.

Rio 9" Blue Macaw Stuffed Toy Plush Doll - Blu

Rio 9' Blue Macaw Stuffed Toy Plush Doll - BluMy son LOVES everything RIO so I was thrilled to find a stuffed toy...even though it was $17 some bucks. As soon as I opened the box, the poor quality was evident. The wings and eyes weren't symmetrical...one wing was actually quite larger than the other. But I figured he's a kid and he won't care. Then, I noticed the poor stitching up the back...I hoped it was just cosmetic again and cut the tags and gave it to him. Within two days of snuggling, threads are coming out and there's actually a hole in the back. So sad...not sure what to do. Also, I realize this might not be a big deal to some, but the toy really looks nothing like Blue or Jewel. The photo is deceptive with the eyes and smiling, hooked beak... :o/ I hope there's a better stuffed out there!

I ordered this for my almost-two-year old daughter, who's absolutely obsessed with the movie. I don't think she even recognized the toy as being Blu and really, its eyes are rather crazy-looking, you can't move the wings and the feet are flimsy, I can't blame her. For $16-$17, I expected it to look a lot more like Blu. She doesn't even go near it.

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Minnie Laptop Junior

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Minnie Laptop JuniorFor being Disney, this toy does not have much to it. It only plays a few songs and only teaches numbers 1, 2, & 3, and letters A, B, & C. Also teaches very basic shapes and colors. Would have liked to know this before purchasing. I would not have gotten it otherwise. However, my daughter is in love with all things Minnie Mouse so it does keep her busy for a little while.

For 10$ I believe I got what I paid for. My daughter is almost 1 And loves to open and close MY laptop do I bought her this little Minnie laptop and it's entertaining for her. But can't imagine it being useful for much longer. It's a boring toy for an older kid and I WOULD DEFENITELY not buy it for $22 like its listen on here. Because then I'd be VERY upset at how useless the toy actually is

I bought this toy for my 3 year olds birthday because she loves Minnie Mouse and she loves my laptop. The sound is poor. Has an annoying, muffled, vibration sound. The mouse pad button broke within a few days. It doesn't work at all. She didn't play with it again after that.

I bought this for my granddaughter!! She loves it!!! She carries it around and presses the buttons and dances and claps to the music!!

I received this laptop as a baby gift and gave it away. It is horrible. It has a few buttons and when you press them, minnie mouse sqeaks in a barely understandable voice while random little lightbulbs light up.

By the time my daughter is old enough to understand that the voice is saying words and not just squeaking, I imagine she'll know her colors anyway. You really don't want your kid learning how to speak from Minnie.

On top of all this, unless you have a laptop from 1992, this is going to be barely familiar to your child as a laptop.

Horrible toy. It's a whole lot of plastic wrapped around a few buttons that make a few tiny lightbulbs light up while a super annoying voice squeaks. Even if your daughter loves Minnie ... this is going to be too babyish for her.

Get something from leapfrog.

Baby Bottle Buddy CollectionTM, Duck

Baby Bottle Buddy CollectionTM, DuckI got the whole collection of Baby Bottle Buddies for my son and glad I did. This is not just a little stuffed toy. These things have so many uses. It fit on the end of almost all my bottles and it really kept him focused during feeding and the teething ears were a huge plus! I just throw it in the washer after our feeding time and it's like new. I like the fact that all the parts are embroidered on as well, so I don't have to worry about choking. I even got one for my dog and she loves it.

FAO Schwarz 12 inch Teddy Bear Musical Crib Toy - Tan

FAO Schwarz 12 inch Teddy Bear Musical Crib Toy - TanI very much wanted to find a musical toy for a baby's cradle. It should be soft, really beautiful, and with pleasing and delicate music for the baby. I liked the picture, but when I had it in my hands, I loved this FAO Schwartz, I found it quite perfect. I'll buy it again for the next baby in my list.

Looks just like the picture. Soft & cute. Well made. Mine unfortunately doesn't play past maybe 10 seconds. Its annoying for my baby he becomes irritated frm it being so super quick. But once he hears it he's happy for like .... 10 seconds (: That's the only downfall to this cute darling bear.

This is a very nice toy. I gave as a gift for a newborn, and was the perfect one, its so cute. But must to say the toy cloth didn't like it to much the quality. I also got the angel, and was much better material. But still a excellent gift, even the cloth issue. I will get it again

Chicco Magic Blocks Stacking Toy, Little House

Chicco Magic Blocks Stacking Toy, Little HouseWe bought this set of magnetic blocks for my son when he was six months old. It's rated for 9m or above, but there is no choking hazard. At that time, he liked to knock the blocks apart when we stacked them together. He also loved (for no explainable reason) the orange stacking platform. (He loved the orange platform so much we brought it on a long plane ride with us, no blocks, just the platform...). It's hard to find blocks in the 9m group, they all tend to be soft material style blocks, which are outrageously price-pointed by the block. So, as a comparison to what's available for the young baby block market, this product is quite interesting and fun. However, if you really want to build up a structure in a building toy sort of way (like an early Duplo, say), this product really isn't it, I'd say look elsewhere. If you want cute blocks to stack in a minor way and animal heads and bodies that you play with in a individual manner, then this toy is great for a Baby and young Toddler.

How the magnetic blocks work: One side of each block has a semi-spherical convex red "dot" that fits into a concave red dot indentation. You can see the convex red dot on the right side of the product photo on the green key and blue door blocks (the two column block behind the daisy block). The corresponding indent part is on the opposite side of the same block. For example, you can see the indent side on the pink little girl body block. So you align the two blocks, and then these two sides will always lightly "click" together: The magnetic strength is fairly weak, you can lift the blocks up in sets of two, but it is a baby toy, they just won't give you strong magnets.

Stacking upwards: The blocks are stacked upwards by fitting each block's raised yellow dot (see the tricycle block in the product photo) into a similarly shaped indent that is in the base of every block. This isn't magnetic at all, and thus this stacking is only stable for about four blocks up (they don't balance snugly in a vertical way), and then your whole structure will fall. That's why I would say these blocks aren't great for real building, in any building sort of way.

The Heads: All of the heads have a light seed-rattle sound when you shake them. My son has always adored this, even now at 17m. The heads sit lightly in the body base (or any block base, in fact) using the same yellow raised dot-indent spot detailed above. They are easily knocked out of place. This always irritates me a bit, but it doesn't bother my son a bit: He likes to play with the heads as little rattles, and the bodies separately, as little specialized teething arm-chewies. He loves to knaw on those little plastic arms, he's able to get them onto the gum spots that are irritating him.

The Blocks: The blocks are exactly what you see in the product picture: Boy Head, Boy body, Girl Head, Girl body, Cat head, Cat body, Double-long rooftop, Chimney roof, Tricycle, Window, Key block where key turns in block with a satisfying click-click (this went on vacation with us this last week in fact), Brick block, Door block, Flower block (obscured by little Boy block in the product photo), and specialized Flower Shape block, specialized Mailbox shaped block.

My main issue with Chicco Magic Blocks is that they don't have a kit that sells a high percentage of blocks that you can stack up in a building toy way, they always sell additional kits that have a high percentage of Heads and Bodies (which are fun in their own way) and/or specialized blocks that don't have joining/stacking features. So other than the Chicco Magic Blocks Savannah Friends set (which we bought and totally like, Monkey, Hippo, Elephant, Lion heads and bodies), we aren't going to expand this set. It's a pity, I wanted a little magnetic building set during that time period....

So, in short, bought at 6m, played with exuberantly in a baby way. At 17m: We like the individual blocks, and sometimes stack them. That orange platform appeals to my son in a way I can't fathom. Overall, I'd say excellent for the 9m age range, there just aren't any cute block-stackers that aren't choking hazards. And for us, I think the toy has a unique sort of longevity in an individual block play sort of way. I'm happy we bought it, but it's not a building toy set, per se.

I am a huge Chicco fan, but this toy was very disappointing. The little hands on the people are an accident waiting to happen....too sharp for little ones. I found the magnet system difficult and I'm an adult! After getting rid of the little arms on the people I gave this toy away I would not recommend this toy.

VTech Count and Dive Penguins Bath Toy

VTech Count and Dive Penguins Bath ToyMy 18 month old twins love this tub toy. It has also changed my mind about tub toys that require batteries. One child can play with the baby penguins in the tub while the other plays with the star or heart buttons on the mom penguin.

The songs are the usual ones, but they somewhat have a tropical feel to them. There are also two volume levels

The mom penguin asks if you can "find baby penguin number ___?" However, it doesn't give a hooray or no if the wrong number is inserted; the mom penguin gives a fun sound and says "I'm baby penguin number __."

You can pull out the baby penguins or push down on the mom penguin's feet. My kids like to pull the babies out, but they do like the splash sound that is made when the mom's feet are depressed. Right now, the net isn't being used, but I'm sure it will be more fun when they are older.

I LOVE this toy!! I think I love it even more than my 1-year-old, but only because she's not old enough to appreciate how valuable it really is. When I was a kid, bath time was my favorite time of day. I would spend the entire duration of the tub filling picking out which toys I was going to bring into the bath with me. When I had my daughter I vowed that bath time would be just as fun for her as it was for me when I was little. Fun in the tub is all about having the proper toys. And this penguin is the proper toy! Not only is it fun (my baby loves to press the star to hear the music play), but it's teaching her lots. It teaches her to count to ten, and how to identify numbers. It also teaches her cause-and-effect press the mommy's feet and the baby penguin pops out. It also teaches her shapes, as she is learning the proper way to hold the baby penguin so that it fits correctly into the space. We've only had this toy for about a month, so I can't really speak for it's durablity or longevity, but so far so good. It's using the same batteries it came with, all of the various functions still work, and it continues to hold my daughter's attention. A+ in my book!

Under The Nile Sleeping Doll Lovie

Under The Nile Sleeping Doll Lovie, BlushMy 8mo loves this. It is great for him to chew on, snuggle up to, wave around, and throw. I don't mind it when he waves it around while in my lap, unlike so many "teethers." The dye from the thread eyes ran a little during the first wash. This didn't detract from the simple appeal of it. The face just looks slightly smudged. I expect that normal wear and washings will take care of this.

I bought this as a gift for my neice on her baptism, and although I have not seen her chew on it yet, the toy is very high quality! It's not very big, but the cotton is organic and soft, and the heal stuffed with wool is firm and cute and the little hands look like a perfect size for a young child to teeth with. I'm very satisfied with this gift, although the shipping and handling was a little steep compared with the price of the item--I would definately buy from this seller as well. It arrived quickly and was even wrapped with tan tissue paper and rafia so I could have given it as a wrapped gift as it arrived! Very cute doll, from a company that seems to care about their environmental practices.

Buy Under The Nile Sleeping Doll Lovie Now

I love that this plush is organic so he can chew on it without worry. It is perfectly sized for little hands but he does prefer the other style buddy with the legs and the knot at the top of the hat. Might just be my little mans preference but having the legs instead of the gown was easier for him to grab and he seems to like it better.

We purchased this little doll in blush for our baby when she was about three months. She never did use it as a sleeping lovely, but at 11 months she still enjoys playing with it especially by teething on it and dangling it off her exersaucer.

The doll is a handy size for infants and small toddlers. The super thing about it is that it is 100% organic cotton and machine washable. The one con is that the doll's white hands and face as well as its light pink hat did yellow almost immediately after its first use probably because it wasn't treated with stain-repellant chemicals like other plush toys. This is strictly aesthetic, but it did make the doll look very worn when it was virtually brand new. On the other hand, the slightly dingy appearance is a fair tradeoff for knowing that the baby isn't ingesting any toxic chemicals by playing with it.

Want Under The Nile Sleeping Doll Lovie Discount?

I love this little doll! We bought it for our 6 month old daughter who has been having sleeping issues and it's tiny enough for her to safely snuggle with while sleeping. I looked into the snoedel which was around $35 plus shipping and this one was cuter and only around $11. It's really soft cotton and has an adorable little face. I did notice that when I machine washed and dried it, the face discolored which is supposed to happen if you don't machine dry it. So I think it needs to be REALLY dry otherwise it will get mildew and discolor.

Tolo Toys Rolling Shape Sorter

Tolo Toys Rolling Shape SorterI recently bought this for my 19 month old who absolutely LOVES it! She'll actually sit down and play with it for a good 30 or 40 min, take a break, then come back to it and play with it again for another half hour. The shapes are the perfect size for her little hands. Each shape is also a rattle, so they make fun noises for younger babies.

A parent can easily open the sorter by twisting either the top or bottom, but I think it would be very difficult for a baby or toddler to open. The other thing I like about this sorter is that it has three shapes on either end, so as the baby becomes more confident with the toy, they will learn how to flip it over to find the opening they need rather then mom turning it for them. My daughter started out with a sorter that was a bucket with a flat lid that had 4 different shapes on top. This worked when she was younger (though she still liked all sorters), but has since masteed it and therefore grown tired of it. This new sorter adds a new challenge, so it's still interesting for her. Another nice feature is that each shape and opening is color coded making it easier for the child to find and match the shapes. It's obviously also a great chance to teach colors.

The only negative I can mention is a minor one. The hole for the round shape isn't very tight, so sometimes the circle falls back out. It doesn't bother my daughter (I don't think she notices), she just pops it back in. Some shapes need to pushed a little harder then you'd expect, but that's just helped my daughter to learn the word 'push.'

All in all, I'd say it's an excellent toy that, if bought as early as 8 months, will easily last you for a year if not longer.

This shape sorted was purchased for my oldest child's first birthday. He also has special needs and was in PT and OT at the time. 4 years later and after 3 kids, this toy is still much loved and looks like new.

We have also had/used many shape sorters and this one is by far the best. It is appealing to younger and older children, younger ones may need more help getting the 6 differnt shapes to the right holes, and the older ones like to flip it back and forth getting all the shape in then opening it and starting over.

As far as quality, this sorter is made of a hard plastic. So even during those early Teething years, this toy will show NO teeth marks. And the hard plastic allows for it to easily go in the dishwasher for cleaning.

Buy Tolo Toys Rolling Shape Sorter Now

This is my 10 month old's daughters favorite toy. She studies it very hard to figure how to put the shapes into the sorter. She had even started putting the shapes in without any help. She will play with this toy for a good 30 minutes before getting bored with it. That is a lot longer than any of her other toys. LOVE LOVE LOVE this toy!

Read Best Reviews of Tolo Toys Rolling Shape Sorter Here

I searched high and low for a good shape sorter after learning that the Fisher Price one my infant son was given is made with harmful chemicals known to cause cancer and birth defects. I learned this from Amazon's note to CA residents. (Thank you Amazon!) This one from Tolo is terrific in so many ways.

First, I like having 6 different shapes, each of a different color. So many sorters have just 3 or 4 shapes and/or every shape is the same color. Both of those characteristics lessen the educational value of the toy, and the lack of different colors also makes it harder for a young child to distinguish the shapes from one another.

The toy is very well constructed and the quality of the material(s) must be good because my son is constantly banging things on the sorter and there is hardly a scratch. While some may not like that the top and bottom (or sides, depending on your perspective) cannot be removed by a baby/young child, requiring adult intervention, I think this helps force the child to sort the shapes.

My son never tried to sort the shapes with the Fisher Price Brilliant Basics Shape Sorter. He always removed the top, took out the shapes, and banged them together. With the Tolo shape sorter, he immediately tried to fit the shapes into the slots. I felt ecstatic. Finally, he's learning something!

My only complaint is that there is no square included. I can't understand why the company thought it more important to have a couple of flower-type shapes (at least, that's what I assume they are-the dark blue and red pieces) than a square. The square is a fundamental shape that every child will have to recognize in school. It really irks me that it's not included here. If it were, the toy would be perfect. As it is, it's currently the best shape sorter I can find.

Want Tolo Toys Rolling Shape Sorter Discount?

This toy is nice and teaches babies shapes. The shapes themselves rattle and my grandson likes them alot. He is really still a bit young for it yet, but likes to sit in my lap and watch me open and close it and put the shapes in for him. The one negative thing I have found about this toy is that the slats are wide enough for tiny hands and forearms to fit through. My grandson puts his whole hand inside and grabs the rattles. Wich could pose a hazard if your child fell with it like toddlers often do, or tripped while their hand was inside of it that way. It is really thick very hard plastic and designed to roll. If you look at the picture you can kind of picture what I mean. Otherwise is a bright, well made toy that seems designed to last.

Bright Starts Grab and Stack Blocks

Bright Starts Grab and Stack BlocksI just spent a ridiculous amount of time reading soft-block reviews on here and testing some out in stores. These are half the price of most others, easily the best looking, and have krinkles, jingles, tags, and other 3d things sewn on. My 5.5 month old loves them. Why would anyone pay 2-5x more than this for soft blocks? I got at Target but this (Amazon) is the best price. Almost forgot! These, like so many baby items, say surface clean only but came out of the wash perfect. So do the Lamaze toys.

I actually love these blocks for the most part, but every time my son puts the edges in his mouth he spits it out and makes a face, so I stuck my tongue to it and it has a horrible chemical taste to it! Did the same to the middle of the block and it was fine. If it wasn't for the taste, I would have gone for five stars, but the chemical taste makes me wonder.

I was looking for blocks that could be used for stacking, something educational and of course fun!

What I got that I didn't anticipate is that I enjoyed shaking them, too! HEY I'M A NEW GRANDPA! I'M ALLOWED!

You'll find the sewing to be top notch and solid assembly. Of course, you'll want to check these often to make sure nothing can break off and be a choking hazard but I doubt it will... until my grandson gets teeth and uses them to rip the fabric. (groan)

What I didn't count on that is a real joy is that the bell that is on the inside is actually soothing no loud CLANG or anything like that, just a gentle ring.

I think you'll find this is a very good pick!

My daughter loves the blocks and I did too. That is, until the day I noticed my daughter's mouth was bleeding! At the cut end of the trim, 3 of the 4 blocks have sharp edges. It seems that they way they fused the material together (melting it or something) resulted in hard, sharp edges. Buyer beware!

She seems to like the crinkly blocks better than the rattly/jingly blocks, but they all have something different that attracts her to each of them. I wish there were more than just 4 of these blocks! We always bring at least one block with us when we go out in the car. Washing machine has yet to destroy them, I just put them in a mesh bag on the gentle cycle.

Mission Toddler Bed Finish: BlackThe Bed is well made of Alder or Spruce a Light nicely grained hardwood with a good finish. It assembled very easily and is very sturdy. My 2 year old daughter just loves her own little bed.

She does still occasionaly roll out of it in the middle of the night because she is such a fidget and moves about constanly in her sleep. Longer side rails might help. But still a awsome bed for less than 60 $

I read the reviews on this bed and many others when I was in the market to purchase a toddler bed for my son who is almost 2 1/2. Most reviews on this bed were 4's and 5's and I totally agree. This bed is a great transition bed for toddlers. It looks nice, it's reasonably priced, it's easy to put together and my son absolutely loves it. It made him feel like a big boy and because he can get in and out of it with ease and on his own, it makes him feel very independant. He adjusted to it right away with no problems. I would definitely recommend this bed for anyone in the market to purchase a toddler bed. Well worth the price!!

For the money this is a good toddler bed.Assembly was easy and all the hardware was included. The bed itself is functional and the finished product is nice.If you're looking for something that's functional and economic this is a good buy.I was reluctant to buy a piece of furniture via the internet, but I have to admit overall I am pleased with my purchase. My only criticism would be that I would have liked to see the bed to be a little more sturdier.Again it's functional, you just need to be aware of the weight you place on the bed.

I ordered 2 of these beds for my 2 year old girls. First of all, there are alot of pieces that you must assemble yourself. Every rail on the footboard and the headboard has to be manually assembled. I'm sure the manufacturer did this to keep the overall size of the box as small as possible. Other toddler beds that I have assembled came with the headboard and footboard already assembled, and the boxes were much bigger. The two lower frame board rails that run the length of the bed on each side took some time, because there are no pre-drilled holes for the wood screws that hold the metal brace in place to attach the middle support legs. My cordless drill helped with the assembly on those parts. The bed isn't hard to put together, but read the instructions closely, and look at the diagrams closely too, as none of the pieces are labeled. It took about an hour or a little more to assemble. The bed looks nice when finished, but it is obvious that this bed can't take too much abuse. Don't let any kids jump on the bed because the wooden slats that hold the mattress will surely break! You definately get what you pay for with a $69 bed.

We just got this bed for our 15 month old daughter and she loves it! It is the perfect size for her to crawl in and out by herself and the railings are positioned great to keep her from rolling out accidentally, but not keeping her "trapped" in bed. It looks really great in her room -good quality and it only took about 15 minutes to put together. Great price. I would really recommend this!

Brainy Baby Music Board Book

Brainy Baby Music Board BookIt is a nice board book that shows pictures and names most musical instruments. This book is more of a reference book than a story book. It kind of goes off on a tangent on dance on the last pages.

This book is a board book, with glossy pages and lots of pictures. It seems well bound, although I haven't had it for long. It comprises seven two-page spreads focusing on different aspects of music, and especially Western musical instruments. The seven spreads are:

Percussion Instruments

Wind Instruments

String Instruments

Instruments from Different Lands

Pitch

Music Symbols

Dance

The first five of these consist of arrays of photos of instruments, mainly disembodied, although five (the trumpet, violin, cello, [electric] guitar and triangle) are pictured being played by (exclusively white) children. These photos are high quality, and are probably the best feature of the book. If all you want are some nice pictures of some musical instruments, then the book does meet that threshold.

The balance of photos is odd though. The violin is pictured twice (under String Instruments and again on the Pitch page, where it is grouped with the high pitched instruments.) Three separate saxophones are pictured: a tenor sax on the cover, an alto sax (with the cap on) on the Wind Instruments page, and a Baritone Sax on the Pitch page (grouped with the low pitched instruments). And room is found for an ocarina. To my dismay, there are no pictures of a bassoon (my own instrument), but more shockingly, there are no keyboard instruments at all. No piano, no organ. There is also no mention at all of singing!

The Percussion Instruments page is focused on instruments that children might play; for example, the xylophone depicted is a children's instrument, and there is no sign of a tympani or bass drum (except in the picture of the drum kit), but the other pages don't seem to share this tendency (the harp shown, for example, is a full sized seven pedal orchestral harp).

But where the book really fails (rather than just being a bit lazy) is the page on Musical Symbols. There is collection of symbols described as "notes"; these symbols are indeed mainly notes grouped and ungrouped eighth notes, a half note, etc but sitting among them is an accidental, a "flat". This is downright wrong. On the same page is an except from some written music (Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor, I think), which contains two errors, one smallish (a missing accidental), and one egregious (a note that is missing entirely, leaving behind a disembodied ledger line!).

On the facing page is a depiction of notes on a staff, but they are just random dots one note seems to be missing a ledger line, and they make no rhythmic sense. Adding insult to injury is the caption, which is of (at best) questionable accuracy: "A treble clef tells the musician to play high notes".

With sloppy errors like these, it is hard to get too upset about the other minor quibbles one might have: for example, the identification of the West African djembe with all of Africa, or the exclusive identification of gongs with Japan, or bagpipes with Scotland (although the text is careful here "Some gongs come from Japan" and "Scotland is famous for its bagpipes" the fact remains that the picture of the gong is juxtaposed with a silhouette of Japan).

So, all in all, the pictures are good, the binding is good, the selection of the pictures is questionable, and the page on musical notation is awful. The omission of keyboard instruments and of singing is shocking!

And there is no bassoon.

This book's publisher, The Brainy Company, has not lived up to its name with this product.

Wood Spinning Top Toy Game Antique Wooden Vintage Reprodution

Wood Spinning Top Toy Game Antique Wooden Vintage ReprodutionWe have been collecting tops lately because our little kids are obsessed with beyblades and now all things spinning. This top is lovely but I don't really see "dancing" much. It is a bit difficult to figure out how to spin it, it has to be spun softly for the top to spin with the "person" upright. It is pretty and fun, but I guess I was hoping for more out of it. Overall, we love the looks of it, but it doesn't seem to get much action compared to other tops that are easier for little kids to maneuver (pull string wooden tops or small wood tops with little straight handles). Ideal for kids 8-108.
