This Winnie the Pooh puppet is very cute and cuddly. My 6 month old loves when we play with it. The only comment I'd have for those considering purchasing is that you can only move Pooh's mouth. You cannot put your finger & thumb in his arms like most puppets. I was disappointed when I first put it on but my son doesn't know the difference so it's still a great toy for us.This Winnie the Pooh Puppet by Gund is well-made and fun to play with. He's also very soft and cuddly!

Happy Horse Plush Doll
I bought this as a Christmas gift for my newborn, but I bought it more for myself. :-P The colors are bright and the fabric is made of various textures. Is it like your typical stuffed toy? Sure, but it's quality, and fun. I put it on the back of the couch so my baby to look at while I feed him, and it really catches his eye. My next item will be the giraffe lovey. My toddler loves this plush toy. He's been sleeping with it for over a year, and it's held up great to repeated machine washings on gentle. I bought this second one as a backup.

Wonderworld Spacy Baby Toy
The size of this toy is just perfect for little hands to grab and little gums to chew on. It makes a pleasant noise when shaken, and flexes in many different directions.(My little one is currently 4 months old, and when I showed this to him in a toy store his eyes lit up and it was instantly grabbed and put straight into his mouth. Needless to say, if you drool on it, you bought it. It's become one of his absolute favorite toys.)This toy was quite a bit smaller than I thought it would be. It is alot of fun though. My son has a lot of fun manipulating this toy by bending it and smashing it this way and that. Very high quality in my opinion.

My developmentally delayed son enjoyed this from about 6 months to maybe 13 months old but loosing interest for now at 15 months. This is the first toy my 6 week old baby grasped and held onto, before she even deliberately understands what "holding" is. It gave me great pleasure to see her do it, and it does seem like she is improving her grasp the more she uses this toy.Monday, April 21, 2014

Lamaze Mix & Match Activity Blocks
I bought these as a baby/holiday gift. Thought they were stackable, but three of the four blocks are actually connected, so you cannot stack and have baby knock over--isn't that the point of blocks?!How disappointing. Kind of annoying to pay for shipping to return this item. Not pleased. My son loved this from 2 months on. He is 6 months and still likes playing with these. It says spot clean only but I've run it through the washer a few times and it's still jingles, crinkled and entertains :D

As well constructed as any other Lamaze products (read: awesome), these blocks have been a success but perhaps not a 'hit' with our little girl (for hit, see Freddy the Firefly or Stacking Rings). She'll goof off with the plushy, connected blocks for a few minutes, but ultimately moves on to something that gives her a bit more freedom to play around. Still a great product, from a great company.Read Best Reviews of Lamaze Mix & Match Activity Blocks Here
My son doesn't play with this toy. I don't understand blocks that are attached to each other. It's cute and brightly colored. I like it a lot aesthetically, but it's not really much to play with. I'd buy something else.WheN I bought this item I thought it was four separate blocks, but they are actually attached which made it a perfect car seat toy. All the different textures are great. My son especially loves the crinkle block. It is a really well made product like everything Lamaze makesThursday, March 6, 2014
Playskool Activity Tower
I bought this toy for my 7 month old for Christmas and he seems to enjoy it. It has 5 blocks that your baby can stack on top of each other to make a tower, but the blocks are hollow so you baby can also stack them inside of each other (great for storage!). The top/smallest orange block has a cute little face on it and when you press it down it squeaks! My little boy loves to smack that block over and over and make it squeak. The 3 middle blocks have a few different colors/shapes and textures on them but nothing special. Then the bottom block has lots of different shapes/colors and textures. It has a nice little handle on the side, a circle that when you turn it makes noise, a verticle bar that has objects on it that you can move up and down, a mirror and a little door/window that you can slide across a picture and play peek-a-boo. It is very durable. My son has thrown the blocks and banged them together over and over and I'm sure it will last. For the price I would say this is a pretty neat little toy and my son really seems to have fun with it.My two year old grandaughter has been playing with this on and off for the past year. When she was younger they were nice for her to explore. Now she is fast at using them to build a little tower or nest them inside of each other. You can also use them to teach colors.

Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Counting Animal Friends Book
This was a Christmas 2008 gift for my grandson. He had his little hand pinched twice while playing with it. I thought perhaps he was too small to play with it and put it away for a long time. He is 14 months old now and I gave it to him last Friday (2/12/2010). It pinched his hand again, he screamed and cried and he had an angry red mark on the side of his palm. Will never give to him again. I've reported it to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission.I bought this for my son's first birthday. He loves it! My 3 year old even plays with it. It arrived quickly and in excellent condition. Great toy.Buy Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Counting Animal Friends Book Now
I bought this to take on a airplane flight to keep my daughter busy. It is just okay. Very durable. It only has a few pages and doesn't say alot. But for the price, I guess it's worth it. I would probably buy it again, but it's not a special toy.Read Best Reviews of Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Counting Animal Friends Book Here
When we saw this online, I didn't look very closely on how the function would be. We bought this for our 2 yr. old son and he will play w/the button but you have to push the button 2 or 3 times for 1 page and it becomes boring to him. He will pick it up every once in a while and play but I wouldn't have purchased it in the store after I was able to see it's function. It was just ok for him!
The good things are that the sound is very clear and loud enough for a child. If your child will allow for you to read it to them, this will be a great item for you. Our 2 year old is too independant and will bring only the books he wants for us to read to him.

I reviewed the other FP Laugh & Learn book earlier, and I'll say the same about this one:This is a great book for small babies to older children! The story is really cute and the songs engage the children...it incorporates the animals and numbers into the story and songs. The sun button is enticing to push and lights up when the book is talking or singing.
It has a switch on it to turn the volume to two different settings or to turn it off to save batteries (or so you can pack it to take with you while traveling). This has gone with us several places and still looks new! She's had this book for months and still loves it.
My niece who is 4 actually likes the book too especially because it's something she can "read" to the baby.
The only downside is that there is only a couple pages so the story is short.

Mud Pie Baby E-I-E-I-O Rubber Duck Light-Up Toy Set
I bought this for my son for his 1st birthday, because he loves bath time and playing with rubber duckies. I thought it would be cool, but within a few days one duck stopped working and a week later another one stopped working. if left in the tub they leave rust spots. Only one kind of works, when it wants to.The two smaller ducks work a little one flickers on and off, while the other one works for a while and then shuts off. The mother duck does not work at all. My daughter is just going to use these as regular bath ducks, unfortunately, since we already threw out the package on Christmas, assuming that what we bought would work as it should.Buy Mud Pie Baby E-I-E-I-O Rubber Duck Light-Up Toy Set Now
We had these for awhile, and as stated in other reviews they stopped actually lighting up. Then one day I went in and my son, who is old enough to be left in the bath, had taken one of the ducks apart and we found a leaking, rusty battery! Who knows how long his bath water was contaminated in small amounts, not to mention big amounts with little rusted chunks tonight!Amazon should stop selling these. Made in China so who knows what lack of safety standards there are!

I ended up giving one to an 8 month old niece and had to fight my 2 year old nephew to get the mother duck back! Lol! I promised him his own. It has been a week all ducks are still working fine. I will be ordering a blue set for my nephew. We don't use them in the bath, just as everyday toys for the kiddies.Want Mud Pie Baby E-I-E-I-O Rubber Duck Light-Up Toy Set Discount?

Kids Preferred Puff, The Magic Dragon: Jack in The Box
I bought this for my 2 year old Grandson. Works well. He laughs every time the Dragon pops out. The wings can be a nuisance to get back in the box. But over all, it's a good buy.I have been singing Puff, the magic dragon since 1963. The toy arrived quickly and works great. I do wish there were more "classic" jack-in-the-boxes available. I am not a big fan of this plastic top and plastic latch mechanism, which is difficult for most adults to secure, much less babies. It does work as advertised though, and my 16-month-old loves it.

Fisher-Price Amazing Animals Sing and Go Choo-Choo
This toy has many different learning options. It is very interactive.1. Moves great on carpeted surfaces! (unlike most moterized toys)
2. Fun educational songs about different animals play when animal is placed in driver's seat.
3. You can buy many add ons for this toy with different zoo animals.
4. FYI...Note to consumer: You need to pull out the clear tag from the bottom of the train in order for it to work correctly (otherwise it will operate in demo mode).
5. The biggest complaint that I might have about this toy is the train car add ons and how they attach to each other. The additional train cars have hook and string add ons that tend to fall of easily during play. An older child might not have such a problem with this.
6. The animals make clicking sounds when the joints are moved. The bottom of each animals foot/hoof have textures and shapes.
7. Some of the animals even make the appropriate sound for that animal...like the monkey.
8. Has stationary mode and moving mode.
Overall, very neat toy. My 9 month old really enjoys it.This is part of a new line, so I did not have much advance feedback on the product. However, my daughter got it for a first birthday and she loves it. The animals are durable and fun to position (they sit, stand, etc. without tipping over). The train moves well when the smokestack is pushed, but this feature can be turned off and my daughter likes pushing the cars around. We even bought an extra animal (sold separately) she loved it so much.
I think its great even for an older child and a toddler neighbor loves it. It is a good toy for pretend play with the animals and the train cars are sturdy enough to hold other things (blocks, etc.)
Overall, a great toy at a time when it is hard to find toys that are safe, yet encourage active and creative play (that 12-24 months range).

This animal train is an adorable toy. My 2 year old has this and she loves it. 2 or 3 is definitely not too old for this. It's really cute and not so babyish that it seems inappropriate to give to this age. It's nice that this train goes so well on carpet, unlike some other toys. There is no problem with that.
My daughter especially likes the sturdy, colorful animals that came with this. Her set came with a giraffe, an elephant, and a monkey. The giraffe's & elephant's joints make cool clicking noises when you move them around. This is very appealing to little kids. Our monkey is not jointed and makes no sounds. A previous reviewer said something about the monkey making sounds. That person must have been referring to a monkey that came in a separate set because the one pictured here doesn't do anything.
One thing my husband and I don't like about this train is the singing. Singing is good, don't get me wrong. It's just that the woman's voice on this thing is LOUD and annoying and she isn't singing known songs. There are 2 volume choicesloud and louder. We ended up putting a few layers of tape over the speaker holes & it's still loud. As for the songs on this, I'd think "I've been working on the railroad" or something like that would have been nice rather than the made up nonsense that this train has. It would also be nice if the train would run without the music turned on, but it doesn't.
Overall, great toy but horrible music.

I had originally bought this toy for my 8 month old, (as the package said it's for 6months+)... but when I gave it to him to play with, he didn't really seem that interested. Instead, my 21 month old daughter took it and has a blast with it! It keeps her occupied for several hours a day as she tried to position the animals and put them on the train etc... She LOVES this toy and we can't wait until the other animals arrive! I wouldn't buy this for a younger child (under 12 months) but is perfect for a 12-30 month range.Want Fisher-Price Amazing Animals Sing and Go Choo-Choo Discount?
We bought this train when our son was 6 months old, after watching him thoroughly enjoy one at a cousin's house. He loves it and we are thrilled that we bought it. He has played with it ever since, and even more than any other toy he has. Not only that, but every child that has come to our house has enjoyed it, whether they were 6 months old up to 9 years! It simply captivates children of all ages. This thing is super cute and extremely durable. Even after repeated abuse (beating on it, throwing it, standing on it, even puking on it ;), it runs like a top! It even runs great on carpet! The batteries last surprisingly long on it too. In a year and a half, I think I've only changed them twice, and considering how much it is played with, that is remarkable. It is a noise-maker, with songs and sounds, but there is a low and high volume switch (as well as an off switch) and the low setting is very tolerable. The music is really great--anything gets annoying after it's repeated many times of course, but all things considered, these songs are very well done and I enjoy them.
Just a side note that has probably already been mentioned: if you get all the train cars and hook them up, the engine isn't quite strong enough to pull them all. And then, it may do better on a hard floor rather than carpet--I haven't actually tried that. Nevertheless, that hasn't ruined the experience for my child in any way. He loves this toy, and the animals all by themselves are enough to entertain for long periods.
One more small thing: you have to buy all the rest of the train pieces and extra animals separately. This can get pretty pricey. I have seen a few deals where you can get a couple of cars and animals in a multi set for a better price. We had grandparents and friends who were encouraged to add pieces for my son's birthday and Christmas, so it actually worked out quite well. All in all, this toy gets a A+ from our family, and I would totally recommend it to anyone!

Skip Hop Treetop Friends Stroller Toy
I have nothing bad to say about this toy. It's well made, unisex if not a little masculine (which is rare for owl-themed toys), has lots of places to chew on, and the sound is pleasant. I love owls, so I had to have it for my son. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because we also have the Lamaze owl stroller toy, which seems to keep his attention for longer than this one.Even at ten months old, this adorable owl rattle by Skip Hop is still one of my son's favorites. His soothing, soft chimes are such a pleasant change from the typical rattle or dog-toy-like squeak found with many other baby toys. I love that this little guy is machine washable as he goes almost everywhere with us, clipped to our diaper bag. Mr. Owl will definitely be one of the few toys that we pack away to keep for our second baby.Buy Skip Hop Treetop Friends Stroller Toy Now

My baby really likes this toy, which makes a nice pleasant sound. It is very cute!My only complaint is that when it arrived it had a strong chemical smell. I threw it in the washing machine and dryer on low (even though it said not to) and it took care of the smell. This is one cute lil bugger. Well little isn't the right word to describe it. It's quite a bit bigger than you may thing. Absolutely perfect size and toy.

LeapFrog LeapStages™ Infant Learning System
This toy was shipped to us without the second, third and fourth stage cards. Because it is a new product, Leapfrog has no "replacement parts" and so can't send me the rest of the stages. Nor will they send me a replacement. You might want to buy it in a store where you can open the box to make sure it's all there. My son received this toy when he was 3 months old. Now he is 9 months old and he has enjoyed it at every stage. There are four stages and a card to go with each stage. At stage 1, he loved listening to the classical music and batting at the plastic things while laying on his back. At stage two, we altered the stand so that he could sit up and play the "baby senses" card (which he loved and laughed hysterically at!) Now at stage 3 he stands up and pushes the plastic things to make consonant sounds. The only complaint I have is that now at 9 months, he is very interested in pulling the card out of the slot and chewing on it which confuses the system and the mouse on the card will "oink" occaisionally. They should have made it a little more difficult for a baby to get the card out of the holder. But overall, it was a good buy.Buy LeapFrog LeapStages™ Infant Learning System Now
I love this toy, and so does my 5 month old, but the songs get waaayy overplayed. There are a few different cards for different age ranges, but my baby loves all the cards. There is a card that has 3 songs on it, and it your baby keeps pushing the same button, "The Rainbow Song" can take it's toll on you.... Her favorite card is the one that teaches baby senses, she loves to hear the baby giggle. I wish they made other cards for this toy, then maybe there would be more of a variety of songs..My daughter would rate this toy a 6, i give it a 4.Read Best Reviews of LeapFrog LeapStages™ Infant Learning System Here
I am a big fan of the leap products. They seem to be indestructible. This is my third child and she just loves the stage one classical music and will lay under it for 45 minutes at a time and watch the lights and listen to the music. It is very sturdy (didn't break when my 4 year old used it as a bench). We are looking forward to using the next stages throughout Abby's continuing development. The instruction are my only complaint. They could have been a little more helpful, but used only pictures to describe assembly procedure. Was not too complicated thank goodness but the piece that puts the legs onto the main part was a little difficult to figure out.My son just turned six months old, and he loves this toy. His face lights up watching the screens, and he loves pressing the levers. It's the perfect size for him to sit at, too. It was a bit of a challenge putting it together, though, and for some reason it says not to use rechargeable batteries in it. But we are very happy with it.Sunday, September 29, 2013
Lil Characters Unisex-baby Newborn Monkey Costume
We bought this as a costume for our 5.5 month old for his 1st Halloween. BOYhe was ADORABLE in it. The costume is really easy, it comes with a pajama fullcover outfit which snaps open and closed at the bottom. The hat is cute and has a velcro attach at the chin. My son was really comfortable and happy in it. The material is really thin and so if you are taking your baby out and its cold, I would def recommend another layer underneath. Depending on how old and how big your baby is, the head piece will either be snug or loose. It also washes and dries really well.Overall, we had so much fun and we kept it. Loved this costume for the fun and price. My son was the hit of his daycare. And it was a perfect size for him at 8mos. I would recommend

Purchased this costume because it said newborn and I assumed it would fit my daughter. I see now that the size says small at the end of the title but it's a little misleading. My daughter is a 3month size right now so the costume is big because it's 6-12 months but she still looks cute in it anyway so we are going to keep it. It's a very light material so be prepared to put layers underneath if you live in a cold area like I do. Other than the sizing issue the costume is adorable and looks cute on my daughter.Read Best Reviews of Lil Characters Unisex-baby Newborn Monkey Costume Here

Disney Pixar Toy Story 3 Plush Toy 16" Woody Doll
The toy itself is adorable like Woody but mine had missing parts and the packaging was horrible. His gun was missing and the box that he was curled and stuffed into was way too small. He had been in this awkward position for so long that it took a couple of days before the toy would straighten out. This item was hard to review, because I liked Woody but not a Woody that looked like he was kissing the floor, and I don't know if he was suppose to have a cloth gun or not but his holster is hanging there empty. I don't recommend this type of packaging to anyone because he cost over $30. He wasn't cheap for a rag doll but they didn't care how he was sent.

Megcos Pull-Along Musical Duck -Affordable Gift for your Little One! Item #LMID-1197
Another reviewer mentioned that this toy has no on/off switch and is very loud. I measured it with a decibel meter and it registered a shocking 100+ decibels (the meter tops out at 100 but it was likely even higher than that). A decibel level of 90-95 is considered to be a "level at which sustained exposure may result in hearing loss." For reference, a subway train 200 feet away is 95dB, and a motorcycle (near your ear) is 100dB.Toy companies often make toys that are too loud for home use, but this is actually dangerous and could be avoided by providing a volume level switch or by lessening the max volume altogether. My son loves this duck but it is honestly a painfully annoying toy. It is loud, has no volume switch, no on-off switch, and plays these long blaring songs.
It is going bye-bye very soon.

I actually bought this to replace one that my 3 year-old Poodle had. When I got a new Poodle puppy, she pulled and played so much with it that she kept it up until she broke it......and so both dogs kept looking for the musical Duck and I was so happy to find it on Amazon. They both pull and play music all day long on it and it is one of their favorite toys. and yes, my great Grandson likes it, too. When he is old enough, I will get another for him. Thanks.Purchased this for my daughter (at another store) this is a neat toy with a MAJOR flaw. The toy is WAY too loud and can damage your child's hearing. There is no volume control and the only way to make it softer is to insert half-dead batteries. I honestly can't believe this is for sale by any reputable store. Hopefully, enough bad reviews will get this pulled or recalled and fixed with some sort of volume control.Want Megcos Pull-Along Musical Duck -Affordable Gift for your Little One! Grammie sent us 2 of these ducks for our twin boys when they were 3 months old...Now, at 10 months, they still LOVE them! They are their favorite toy-they pull on the nylon string and like to chew on it, they like being able to play music on their own, the buttons light up, the duck has wheels, and its made of sturdy hard plastic. Am looking to see if this manufacturer makes other toys like this as it has been a great toy, keeps the boys busy and exploring their curiosity for 30-45 min at a pop.Tuesday, August 6, 2013
Ambi Bubble Fish
These are the best bath toys ever! The fish stay afloat upright (like they should) and there are three different sizes, perfect for little hands. The best part about these toys are they NEVER get moldy like cheap bath toys do. They are designed so the water drains out of them every time. My children ages 4-8 love them and have since they were babies, no choking hazards here. They are called bubble fish because they make bubbles when they are held underwater--which also causes giggling. They are a toy we probably never will out grow. Love this product!I got this for my baby shower. My kid started using it when he was about 5 months old, and figured out by himself that he can make bubbles if he submerges the fish. Makes him laugh every time.Fish are hard plastic, but tails are chewable, they swim the correct way, with slight different angles depending on how much water is in them, and they drain properly for storage. Simple bright colors, no small parts. Nothing breakable.
This is pretty much the perfect infant toy.My daughter LOVES these. They dry out fully after every bath as well. She likes that they "bubble" under the water. Great buoyancy
and she chews on their tails. I like these better than the squirties cuz the you can't get all the water out of the squirties. These are made to drain water on their own, so they won't grow mold in between baths. My son loves to make them bubble under the water.

Lamaze Stack, Roll and Crawl Ball
We have this ball and a 4yr old, an 18 month old and a 4 month old and this toy doesn't work for any of them. Our infant has no interest in looking at or rolling the ball and cannot stack it yet. Our 18 month old can stack it but it isn't really a lot of fun. And the 4 yr old taught her how to throw the ball. Throwing the ball is what happens at our house. It is heavy and when it hits your floor (ours is hardwood) it explodes, spinning the pieces in all directions and making the loudest, most satisfying noise. Fun for kids but not so fun for mom and dad. Maybe our kids are extra destructive but aren't all kids to some extent? This ball is no fun. There is nothing special about this toy. My daughter is simply not interested in it. The ball, looks like a ball but does not really function as a ball as it easily splits up into its components when rolled around. I am a big fan of lamaze toys so I was expecting something more exciting. Maybe my daughter is too young for it;(she is 4 months).Buy Lamaze Stack, Roll and Crawl Ball Now
We bought this for our daughter when she was 9 months old, now she is 11 months and still is only mildly interested in it. The pros: It's a toy that will continue to be interesting as more than just a ball, as she gets older, hopefully taking it apart and putting it back together will be fun for her. She likes it better when it's apart and she can play with the rings individually, bang them together, chew on them, etc.The cons: When its a ball, it's too big for her to manipulate very well, so it usually ends up rolling away from her and she gets frustrated and gives up on chasing it. Also, taking it apart requires some precise fingerwork into the little provided notched edges on the top, which may take awhile for her to develop, so I'm not sure how well she'll be taking it apart herself anytime soon.

This toy is great because it can function as a ring stacker of sorts and also as a ball. Ours stays together quite well when rolled. The part with the rattling beads that goes on top is held in place by a pretty strong magnet, and that keeps the whole thing together.Want Lamaze Stack, Roll and Crawl Ball Discount?
I am a huge fan of Lamaze toys. My son's first favorite toy was Morty the Moose (made by Lamaze). :) So of course, I gave this toy a try when he was learning to crawl. This toy is really what got him to army crawl. He's a year old now and still plays with it. He loves stacking the pieces, and shaking/chewing on the blue piece (it's a rattle). You can also fit the pieces so that the ball becomes a fully functional rolling toy. As is, the red center piece is weighted, so the ball doesn't really go onto it's side.I will say, this is not really a toy for middle-older toddlers. He is beginning to lose interest in it. I recommend buying this toy for babies that can sit up and/or are learning to crawl. We got it for him around 6-7 months old, so I feel like it was definitely worth the money and we are still getting good use out of it.
