In no way it is a mirror --it's only a shoddy plastic material that shows your distorted face (unfortunately I failed to realize that from the product image in Amazon). It's also difficult to return it, since it ships from UK and you are supposed to return it there.

My 6 month old twins have loved this mirror since Nana bought it for them at 3 months old. It has a small bell in it that gives it a nice jingle, crinkle paper in a flap that comes off the side that is easy to grip, and the whole mirror is light and easy for them to lift. Plus, it is a practical shape, unlike our sassy mirror that folded up and fell over on them during their younger tummy time days. This one stays put and is easy to look in to.

My 5-month daughter got this for Christmas and LOVES it! The colors are vivid, it provides different learning opportunities through the different sides, it is soft and lightweight, and it is very easy for her to hold and chew. I also love how it stands on its own and you don't have to lean it against something like so many other mirrors. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the mirror is already pretty scratched up just with normal play, but she can still see herself in it. GREAT toy!!!

Description is inaccurate. We received this toy as a gift for our toddler. It uses 2 AAA batteries (not 1 AA); also both the turtle AND starfish have wheels, thus they can be stacked, or pulled like a "train". The batteries go in the starfish, which makes the music and flashing lights. Strangely, the turtle ALSO has what appears to be a battery compartment (and a tiny "speaker") on the bottom, but it does nothing. Instructions said nothing. I spent several minutes trying to pry open this battery compartment, until I finally decided it must be glued shut / non-functional. It's an OK toy for what it does. It's cute; appears well made. It rolls, plays electronic " beepy" music and has flashy lights. Perfectly fine gift, though ours did not come with the attractive packaging shown.

My son received this toy as a gift for his first birthday. He loved putting the shapes in through the top of the jar and taking them back out, and loved being able to take the lid on and off. The music is cute, too. However, now that he is a little older (almost 15 months) and ready to really sort the shapes, he gets frustrated trying to fit the correct shapes into their corresponding holes. The shapes are too big for their holes, which makes it a very tight squeeze. In order for me to fit, say, the star shape into the star hole, I have to hold the cookie jar tightly with my other hand and really forcefully push the shape through. There is no way my son could do that on his own, which he finds frustrating. Although I think this toy was a cute idea and is fun to use when just putting shapes in and out the top, I think it really should be redesigned to work better as a shape sorter...

I have been searching for a shape-sorting toy for my 16-month old daughter. I chose this one because it had good reviews and because I found it in a local store (no shipping charges!). However, after playing with it for a few minutes, I realized that the shapes are very hard to fit into their respective holes, especially the square. Also, it seems that they can only go in one way, with the embossed-number-side facing in; otherwise, it is even harder to push them in. And, even when you line them up just right, the block sort of "catches" on the button that causes the corresponding song, and you have to put in some real effor to push the block in. I can only imagine how frustrating this must be to a baby just learning to shape sort he/she finally gets the shape right, but can't manage to push it all the way in. Furthermore, even though this is a cute toy, I showed it to my baby for just a minute and she didn't even bother to try to play with it. It, along with the Fisher-Price Stride to Ride Lion, is not one of Fisher-Prices's best creations.

We bought this toy for my oldest daughter 4 or 5 years ago. She loved this toy so much that we have gotten a new one for our baby. The shape sorter is a great learning tool and she likes to take the lid off and put it back on by herself. But her favorite thing about this toy is the music!!

My kids both like this toy putting the shapes in and out of the top but I have the same problem as the other reviewer,,,the shapes on mine are WAY too tight to fit thru the shaped holes easily. It is hard for me to do and unless they are lined up exactly it will not work at all. Impossible for any toddler to do. Maybe this issue is not on all of them as other people do not seem to have the problem but overall I am VERY disappointed and will probably be donating this toy to good will next time I go! Fisher Price usually makes good toys but this one in my opinion is not.

I almost didn't buy this because of the review that stated it was hard to get the shapes in. But, I really wanted to have a shape sorter from the Laugh and Learn line, so I tried it.

This toy is great! Has darling songs, and my 1 yr old son has learned to get the shapes in the right spots without any problems, and the shapes go in easy and without any of the problems the other reviewer had.

One of the best features is the cookie jar lid. It helps keep the pieces inside, perfect for easy clean up! This has been one of my sons favorite toys this year!!

We just bought spares because... when she loses Lamby and needs to take a nap or go to bed, NOBODY in the house is happy. The product itself is decent. It's very cute, very soft, and babies love it. My only qualm is that it comes in a plastic bag has been scotch taped shut and that looks terrible. If you are giving this as a gift you will have to repackage it in a gift bag or box. I don't know why Amazon has you rate the 'educational value' of items like this!

My Big Star Chart (1yr+)

I can pick and choose which things to work on with my child for different steps in her life. Right now she is 2 1/2. Plus there are a few blank ones to write my own (one of which is brushing her teeth). I use the smiley faces for when she's good or at least tries, but the gold stars for when she's great! For every 10 stars, she gets to go out for ice cream. This has helped with reinforcing to share, be polite (please, thank you, excuse me, etc.), a reward for going to bed like a big girl (transition not only into a toddler bed, but also into a new room when we moved, brushing and flossing her teeth, and potty training. I do recommend this little chart. It's just perfect! I gave it 5 stars because it has plenty of stickers, it's not poor quality, it keeps my child wanting to do a good job, and it's fun for me to see her get so excited when she gets a new sticker. They aren't easily ripped. Matter of fact, I take them off after she gets 10 stars on the chart and put them back on the sheets and reuse them. So far I've reused the same stickers 4 times now and they stick just fine! I do highly recommend this product and might need to buy another 1 or 2 for my other children since there is only room for 1 child's name on it. But I feel it's totally worth the price!

I wasn't sure about purchasing this reward chart due to the cost, but am really glad I did. The chart and stickers are of a high quality material that can even be removed from the chart and reused (if needed). There are prefilled stickers and blank stickers for choosing your own goals. I bought this chart awhile back and feel we will get a lot of years of use out of it for both kids.

I love this chart for my 2 1/2 year old learning to potty train. He loves to put the stickers on after he goes. What is great is there are blank pictures that you can write in what behavior you would like them to do. I use smiley faces for when he does the main items and when he goes pee pee, but when he goes poop in the potty which is a BIG deal he gets a star sticker! I love that it will grow with him and I can change the behavior I want to reinforce. I have also reused the stickers a few times and they still have some stick on them. The sticker quality is perfect. Just sticky enough to stay put on the charts, but not too sticky that you can't remove them from the walls or floors without injury to the surfaces.

The chart worked spectacularly with my sons for potty training and morning wake-up routines.

My 15 month old son loves bouncing in his crib so I thought this would be a great toy for him. He tried bouncing on it once or twice, now he just tries to get off it. I wanted this for a very active boy because of the convenience of storing it away. The product is very sturdy. My 16 month old could get on and off it without assistance which I love. It bounces fine. Not very high. It is low enough to the floor that if he fell, he wouldn't get too hurt. Mama loved all those things. He just didn't use it very much. It mostly gets used as a step stool to look out the window, which is fine but you can buy step stool much cheaper. This was a gift so I am ok with it.

My 1 year old loves to bounce on this! It's sturdy and she can hold onto the handle while dancing and bouncing up and down. This is a cute shirt and my little guy really likes Juno and her friends. He enjoys the shirt, however, it will be short lived. The shirt is small for a 4t and that is often the case in character tees (Thomas, Disney, etc..) so I ordered the 4t instead of the 3t which is what he normally wears. However, it also shrunk on first wash, so double whammy. Order larger size and don't dry at all would be my suggestion.

I bought this baby for my nephew when his new baby brother arrived. It is the perfect size for a 17 month old. He loved it. This baby is soft and lovable with a sweet face. My nephew was fascinated by the baby's toes. This is a simple and well made product. It has even survived a "bed bug" clean up in the dryer, although, I wouldn't recommend a trip through the dryer unless it is an absolute must.

I bought this doll for my two year old for Christmas. The doll is very cute , the right size for a child her age and very detailed. I loved the way it looked.

This item is poorly constructed. It is only Feb. and this doll is falling apart. All the seams that connect the arms and legs to the body are coming apart. There appears to be a zip tie that holds this items to the body , and that has poked through the cloth and made holes on each of the legs and arms.

I am so disappointed . It is my daughter's favorite baby , and it really is very cute.

I specifically wanted a boy doll for my toddler son. After a lot of searching i decided on this one. This doll is cute and cuddly. However, the plastic ties they use to secure the appendages and neck poked through the material and ripped and frayed it. I'm not sure why the manufacturer didn't cut the excess plastic off before putting the fabric around it. I tried to get a replacement on Amazon but, they were out of stock. So, I ended up cutting the extra plastic off myself and removing it, and then sewing up the material where it had poked through. It's fine now and my son loves it but, what a pain.

Logan the lion has small teething toys that hang from his paws and he sports a cute little mane that is colorful and entertaining.

One thing i did not expect is that there is a small ball of some sort inside his little head that makes a sound effect similar to growling. A very cute surprise, although it made my daughter a little wary at first.

Overall a great little toy. We use ours to hang on her car seat and it keeps her busy for the parts of the ride she doesn't sleep through! =)

I'd recommend it for any baby!

I bought this for my 5 month old because he loved Freddie the Firefly but had already had Freddie for 3 months so I thought it was time for something new. For some reason he just doesn't seem interested in this toy. It makes a "roar" when you tip him. He likes to put the hands into his mouth but the teething toys are attached to it so he just seems frustrated by it. Lamaze has great toys but this one was not a winner with my little guy. He has had Freddie since birth and still prefers it to Logan. Go figure.

I got this toy for my son when he was about 10 wks old and discovering his hands... I thought the big eyes would be appealing and he could learn to grab onto the rings. He loves it so much, it really helped him build his hand-eye coordination by grabbing the rings, and he just loves to stare at the lion. It makes the coolest "purring" sound when you move it too, he loves that as well. Highly recommended!

I bought this for my six month old son. The balls are just the right size for him to pick up in his little hands, which help to build his clutching and grasping motor skills. He will crawl/worm his way to the toy, pick it up, and roll onto his back holding it to study it. The colors are bright and appealing, and the toy itself seems well made. The balls move about on the cord, so they aren't fixed into one particular shape. I think this adds interest for the baby, since he is able to manipulate the shape a bit. If you're looking for bells and whistles, this isn't the toy for you; however, if you're looking for a toy to cultivate your baby's imagination, this is a good one with which to start. I would give it 5 stars overall, but I found a cheaper version of this toy (with more balls) made by a different company shortly after I purchased this one.

My daughter is 6 months old. This quality toy is made of wood, it's very bright and I like to hold it in my arms. But my little girl doesn't. She prefers to play with other toys, this one is not her favorite. There is a time for everything so I hope she'll interested in it later.

Our baby loves this toy. It is very sturdy and I am not at all worried about the beads coming apart. They move around as she plays with the toy, which she likes, and the size is perfect for her to work on with sore gums. (Just don't let the baby have it in the high chair, because the toy is made of wood and if she lets it fly...)

I especially love this brand, which tends to be much more natural than others and is made in Germany, where they conform to European safety standards, which are often much stricter than those in the US and Canada.

It also makes an inexpensive gift, because it is so pretty and also well made.

She got this for a present at 2 months old. At first she would stare forever at the dancing giraffe when I opened it. Now that she can open it herself its even more fun for her. When the lid closes the toy says "bye-bye!" and it makes her laugh every time.

I'm amazed it still works after 6 months of being tossed and thrown, rained on (when we left it outside), and she has popped the lid off many times. And it still has the original batteries in it. And to a past reviewer, yes the lid does shut on them just like any other lid with a hinge but its very light weight.

My 11 month old daughter enjoys playing with this music box. It's entertaining, and offers educational information. I just wish it had an "off" switch. The music stops playing when closed, but if it gets bumped in the toy box, it will play ... and play ... and play ... Otherwise, a great toy!

This toy was a life saver when we bought it. There are a plenty of songs. The quality and tone of the music make it easy to listen to. My son (yes, we bought him a pink toy) played in the car with it and it made car rides so much more tolerable for him. It was easy for him to manipulate as a +9 month old. Even though it would fall out of the car, it never broke or chipped. I am excite to pull it out again for our next son... have to remember where it got packed. My Godson likes it very much. He likes to put it in his mouth, haha. It is a bit smaller than I thought, but still good. I put the ring under hot water from the faucet and they did not turn though, so maybe it just needs to soak first!

This toys is cute, and I'll keep it because my daughter loves ducks. However, the duck does not float nicely above the base as shown in the picture. The duck fills with water, sags thru the ring, and sort of hangs there, drowning. Furthermore, the base isn't heavy enough to actually sit on the bottom of the tub, so it just floats around in the water as well. I have yet to notice anything at all changing color to alert me of hot water, but I didn't want this feature anyway so I don't care. Also, the duck stays pretty wet at all times, so mildew might be an issue, and if you have a chewer like I do, you might not want them sucking away on this duck. If you want a cute squishy duck bath toy with a thing hanging off his bum that makes a nice rattle noise, order this. If you want something to actually measure inches of bath water, or alert you that you're about to burn your baby, get something else.

My mother purchased this for our seven month old daughter; it is her first bath toy. There is a dolphin, a starfish, and a a tube. The dolphin is plastic and the fins and tail turn and click. The tube is plastic too. The starfish is soft and squirts.

She loves playing with these in the tub! They are simple and fun. This would make a great stocking stuffer for Christmas.
