My son loves to play on this. The songs are super cute, and he loves to look at the lights! I just wish it was a little easier to store. It folds, but it doesn't fold up enough to make it easier to store. Otherwise, SUPER cute product. I kinda wished I had splurged on the one with the piano on the feet, though. But my baby still seems to have fun with this!

This is very darling....my 4 month old daughter loves the "squawking" noise it makes. It's pretty small, though, which is why I gave it only 4 of 5 stars. On the other hand, the size makes it better for smaller babies to hold. I'd recommend Kathe Kruse toys to anyone. Very high quality and not like all the junk you can buy in big box stores.

Just got this puppy.... er, ferret in the mail today and I am pleased enough. The 14" ferret I also purchased on Amazon wasn't quite proportioned well enough to be life-size but this guy fits into that category a bit better. The picture, however, does it no justice! Sure, the more circular choice of material for the eyes make it a little less ferret-looking, but they aren't nearly as large and beady as they appear, nor is the face so smushed-looking like the picture. Only con I found is that the tail (on the one I received, at least) is very wiry, as in it curls itself a little and doesn't lay still, but that's not that big of an issue, of course. As for realism, this guy also doesn't have whiskers, but that, too, is just a small thing. This animal is overall a good, soft and cute choice if ya dun wanna shell out the big bucks for those adjustable/higher-detail ferrets. :)

If there is an attempt at detail, the tail is still created wide and flat (like a beaver), the coloring is off, the face is unflattering, the body is floppy, etc. Not this one!

Tolo Toys Classic Xylophone

I bought this xylophone instead of some of the others I looked at, because it was advertised as being on-tone. It's not; the lowest 2 notes are noticeably flat1 I'm not musically inclined and can live with it, and it seems durable. However, I am annoyed that I paid more for it than some of the cheaper ones that probably would have sounded just as good.

I do like the fact that it can be played with the piano keys. My toddler is going through a hitting phase and it is nice to be able to hide the sticks for now!

Found this toy on clearance for $20. We have several Tolo toys. It's well made and fun for my one year old. He likes banging on it. Tone is what I expected from a toy and not too bad. I wouldn't have paid $50 for it. I like that it functions two ways.

Sing Me to Sleep Pooh

I love this wonderful pooh and piglet bedtime soother. My son got this for Christmas when he was 5 months old. He loves it and so do I. He really enjoys chewing on piglet's little ears since he is now teething. The remote is wonderful so you don't have to go back into the room and worry about the baby seeing you. It's so relaxing I even love to listen to it. We took it on a long 15 hour trip and it was a lifesaver. Anytime our son got fussy we would just put it on and I could start it up again from the front seat using the remote without having to reach back and get the toy! Once we were at our destination we thought our son would have a hard time sleeping since he was not at home in his crib but having Pooh made him feel like he was home and he would drift off to sleep every time! I highly recommend this to everyone and plan on buying one for my sister who has a hard time getting her baby to sleep. This toy is worth every penny. One last note, I read another review that said this toy goes through batteries quickly but in all honesty we have not had that problem. We use it constantly and have only changed the batteries once since Christmas and even if we had to change them more often, I wouldn't complain because it's so worth it!

My five-month-old daughter received this as a Christmas gift, and it has been WONDERFUL. She has always been fairly easy to put to bed, but now it is a breeze with Pooh. Instead of fumbling for an on/off switch, you just tap the pillow to turn it on (which she has done herself inadvertantly while fussing in the middle of the night and subsequently gotten herself calmed down without my getting up). Pooh then sings a sweet lullaby and a soft night light comes on. Next, several songs without words follow, and every couple songs the night light dims gradually until it finally goes out. At that point, there are soft nature sounds accompanied by one or two more songs before it turns itself off. And the remote lets you start from whichever point you like, with Pooh singing plus the light, with the songs and light but no singing, or the nature sounds and music with no light. It is just an absolutely adorable toy, and my two older children love to hear Pooh singing, also. As far as the "hard, plastic pillow" mentioned in another review, this has not been a problem at all. The pillow is covered adequately with a soft filling and cotton cover and I do not see how it could hurt her. She has even reached over and grabbed Pooh and brought the whole thing over onto her mouth to chew on, and it hasn't hurt her yet. I love this toy and I really think these lullabies will be something she equates with soothing, pleasant bedtimes for years to come.

I bought this for my grandchild when he was 8 months old. We had to go out of town and we were leaving him with a friend who had two small children. He took it to bed each night and it gave him great comfort. He has continued to "sleep" with it every night for the past 10 months. He also enjoys it when he is playing in his room. He frequently hits the button for backgroup music and likes to operate the remote control (which is a great feature) to change the "channels".

My second grandchild is 1 month old. When she was at our house, she was having trouble sleeping in the port-a-crib so I put Pooh and Piglet in with her and played the lullabys. She immediately calmed down and drifted off to sleep. Later, when checking on her, I smilingly noticed that she was holding on to Piglet. She now has her own.

This is such a special toy in our family. The on/off switch, the remote control and the number of choices make it very versatile. I would recommend it highly particularly as a baby shower gift.

The only negative the bulb is not replaceable. When it burns out the night-light effect goes with it; however, we have been operating it daily for 10 months and the bulb is still going strong.

I recieved this Pooh Bear as a gift from a friend off of my baby registry--I've never been a big Pooh fan or anything, but this toy had changed that!

The toy is soft and plush and heavy enough that baby cannot pull it onto her head or smother herself or any of those scary things. It's a little large but it fits perfectly at the head of her cradle.

By tapping a button inside the pillow, you start off a long set of music beginning with Pooh and Piglet singing, then some various classical lullabye music, and finally some soft nature sounds (birds chirping and such) interspersed with lullabyes. I didn't find the music to be too loud at all. Also, as the tunes progress, a bright nightlight in the pillow dims slowly and finally shuts off.

It also comes with a remote control, with various buttons to choose from starting the lullabye set from the beginning, middle or end. The remote control is an awesome feature, as it allows me to be more lazy and shut the toy off from the doorway, hehe. The only reason I didn't give this item five stars is because after a week of use the remote stopped working for me--It used to start songs automatically, but now I have to start the toy by pushing the button on the pillow. I can still switch songs with the remote though, I just can't turn the toy on with it.

My 3-month old daughter LOVES this toy! When I put her down to sleep, I tell her that Pooh is going to sing to her and she squeals and giggles. And it really works! It starts out with an adorable lullaby (that I find myself singing to myself throughout the day) then moves on to just music. The music progressively gets softer and slower, and the nightlight progressively dims. My daughter always falls asleep before it ends. It's amazing! I especially love it because I am able to put my daughter in her crib while she's still awake, and it helps soothe her while she learns to fall asleep on her own. Perfect choice for a baby shower!!!

My son received this toy as a gift for his birthday. I am very impressed with how sturdy it is! He has taken this toy up and down the steps (all 13 of them) many times, and you would never know it, because the toy shows no signs of wear. He is fascinated with the moving mouth, and loves dragging it behind him all over the house. This toy reminds me of one I had as a child; it's nice to see that there's a company that still makes sturdy, classic toys that are reasonably priced.

My little one loves to pull her hippo all around the house. It's crafted very nicely... as are most Melissa & Doug wooden toys. I like that it's a classic wooden toy, a nice change from so many of her plastic, bells-and-whistle type toys. Even though she was able to walk around for awhile, she didn't really start to enjoy the toy for several months after walking/running. My only complaint is that the gadget/wheel that creates the open-and-shut mouth motion often falls off alignment. I have to manually realign the wheel to get it to open and shut again. Not a huge deal, but still somewhat inconvenient being its only "main" feature. I've also seen this toy in the frog version... which is also really cute.

After multiple children, the toy is still as cute as it was when originally purchased and ready to be passed on to our 11month old daughter. It has been thrown against walls, taken down stairs, running with a toddler, yet still works and has never had to be fixed. What can i say, its tons of fun and works great. Plus it survived this long.

That is exactly why we started buying only wood toys for our children--> plastic ones break to easily and its hard to fix them. Wood toys can easily be fixed and can be handed down generations to come. Plus they are hand made and parents can admire the craftsmanship.

My grandaughter loves this toy but there was a problem with the length of the pull rope. The rope was very long and as she played with it her parents noticed that the rope did go around her neck. The rope was shortened no problem. I would recomend this toy but with instructions to shorten the rope.

Summer Infant Tub Time Tea Party Set

My daughter hasn't open this Christmas gift yet, but seeing it in the package I was shocked at how utterly tiny this set is. I envisioned having a bath 'tea party' w/ her for fun. These cups are jeez...the size of a bit bigger than a medicine cup. I'm sure she'll still have fun w/it, just know it is a bath toy that can be sucked down the drain (kiddingbut it's small).

This is just such a cute idea for little ones who love to have tea parties. Even for my one year-old, this was a great toy. The only caution I will give is that my daughter will use the cups to drink bath water from -but we stop her and redirect her and it's no problem. The sugar bowl has holes so the water goes through like a strainer -so no risk of drinking bath water there. I actually use the teapot to rinse her hair after shampooing! It's a sweet little gift. I bought one for my niece when I gave her a tea set and a tea party themed gift.

Vulli Sophie Giraffe Bath Toy

I'd give this 0 stars if I could.

Sophie the Giraffe is safe for babies to chew on because it's made of natural rubber, and that's the company's claim to fame. THIS TOY IS NOT RUBBER!

I could tell immediately out of the box. A quick internet search turned up disturbing evidence that it might be made of PVC. Hello?!? Considering they're marketing it as age-appropriate for 6 months and older, and that it looks so much like the safe giraffe, I would assume any baby would naturally chew on it. Bad news for baby-and shame on the company.

We're returning it and not buying from Vulli again.

Not a bad bath toy at all....just know what you are buying in

comparison to the regular Sophie teether.

The bath toy:

-Half the size

-The legs are all one piece instead of 4 individual pieces

-The ring does not come off

-The material is not as soft or flexible

-Does not make any noise when you squeeze it

-Even when not used as a squirt toy, water will get in and have to get squeezed out regularly

My 5 month old son does like this toy though he gets a little frustrated after a while cause it isn't really a teether and he's used to being able to get one of Sophies legs into his mouth. I'm sure he'll like it even more once he's able to use it as a squirter which is what it actually is. All in all, it is still a good quality toy that I trust and would recommend it to others.

UPDATE MARCH 2011:

So, in trying to get the water out after a bath the other night, I squeezed Sophie's head and caused a slight tear around her mouth. Didn't think it was possible based on what I thought was great quality. I wont completely blame Sophie since It was actually me doing the squeezing but still. Oh well, we'll continue to use as is.

My daughter has the original Sophie the Giraffe for teething and loved it so I thought this would be a great purchase to use in the tub. The toy is not made out of the same material as the original Sophie and is super hard. It is also very difficult to get the water out of the toy once it gets inside. I recommend sticking to the original toy and don't waste your money on this one.

First, I want to say that I bought this toy at TJ Maxx HomeGoods for $3.99, not here on Amazon, but I did want to review the item for future buyers. My 4-month-old daughter is only slightly interested in this toy. I picked it up while walking around TJ Maxx since I forgot her diaper bag in the car, and let her play with it while I was browsing the clothes aisle. It may be because she's still young and not that into toys yet, but she just wrapped her hand around it and stared at it for a while. I would shake it for her so it made the cute "tweet" sound and she would look at it confused, but other than that she didn't seem interested in it. After she eventually put her mouth on it, I decided to buy it for her anyway. When we got home she didn't want to release it. She had a death grip on it for a while, but I think she just wanted to gnaw on it. My husband would shake it for her and once again she would give it the "WTF" face. I'm thinking once she is able to really learn the cause-and-effect aspect of it then she may play with it more.

Mud Pie Baby Little Princess Pink Woobie

I was so excited when I received this woobie. The first time I washed it got stuck on something and now there are several pulls in the satin, which left a bunch of strings hanging out. And I am concerned they could cause a choking hazard. Although this woobie is super soft and light weight it was ruined in the wash and now I am going to have to throw it away. I would not recommend this blanket to someone who is looking for something to last.

My daughter has been using this blankie every night since she was about 6 months old. She is 11 months old now so I'm purchasing another one as a back-up while I wash the other one as she uses it for naps as well. Very soft little blankie...she loves it!

Bright Starts Having a Ball Pop and Roll Roadster

Initially I thought this car was a cheap alternative to the nice bobby cars I know from my home country. When I unpacked it, I was a little concerned about the color, since the red is not red but more of a fuchsia/raspberry color and I have a son. After talking to my husband and the "color issue", we kept it anyway. I didn't had a problem to put it together, like other people did and it was working just fine. My son enjoys shooting the balls or just pushing the buttons for the sound. Today I had to see, how my son's arm got stuck inside the insert for the ball. He was trying to get the ball out and twisted his arm and got stuck. I was terrified to see this and had a hard time to calm him down, to get him a little relaxed, to get his arm out. I won't recommend this toy, because of this reason. Sepnd a little more money, get something more childproof.

This toy was purchased for my 20-month-old baby girl by her grandparents. She enjoyed playing with it for the past few months, but today, while sitting on the roadster, my daughter tried to insert a small toy cup into the shoot instead of the plastic balls that came with the roadster. In the process, she got her hand stuck halfway down the ball shoot. Her hand was wedged so tight between the wall of the ball shoot and the toy cup that her fingers started turning purple! While she was screaming, I tried desperately to unscrew the yellow plastic hood off the car to help her hand from below the ball shoot, but my screwdriver only stripped the screws. As there was no way to pop the hood open, I was about to crack it open with a hammer when my daughter managed to wrench her hand free. She suffered a superficial gash all along one side of her hand, and her index finger is red and swollen to twice its normal thickness, but no bones seem to be broken. This all happened in a matter of a few seconds under direct adult supervision as the words "I don't think that's going to fit, honey" were coming out of my mouth. Until Bright Starts makes the ball shoot wider to prevent little hands from getting stuck or devises a hood that opens easily, this toy is not safe for curious toddlers.

I had a similar issue with putting this together. Called the customer service line and they told me to push down really hard until I heard a click. The electronics are in the dash and if it's not installed all the way, they won't work. When I finally got it connected it worked great and was a hit in my household!

My 2 year old got attracted to this car because of the balls. We had several similar cars (without balls) at home, but he never showed interests in riding on them. So when I saw that this car has this ball function,i tried getting him one to get him to ride on it. It was successful, because he had to get on the car to get it moving forward for the ball to move in position so when the gear is pulled, the ball drops out of the hole. Only thing i don't like about it is that the steering wheel is fixated..could not turn wheels to go right or left. He could only move forward/backward and if he wants to go right, he must get up and lift the car to move it. Well i figured, this lets him exercise even more because he also had to get up to go pick up the balls back & put them in the hole! This made him really busy for a long time! lastly, you have to really push the steering wheel part very hard "in" while setting up otherwise the balls don't go through the hole.

This toy is cheap made and the music is awful. Baby doens't even care about it, he gets upset with the music it plays. Have you heard those musical cards? Well, this is the same kind of sound you will hear from this toy.

This is the soft, adorable, bear with NO kitschy add-ons you always think of when you think teddy bear. Can't vouch for durability, as it's only been 2 months. The parents say they worried about the little towel between the paws being something the baby might want to suck on and possibly strangle on, though I hadn't thought of that. But they love it too, and so does the baby.

Whoozit Starz Lights and Sounds Activity Toy

My 4-month-old loved the baby whoozit, so i figured adding sound and lights would be a slam dunk. Unfortunately, not so, the lights are so dim and the music is super caned sounding. And, perhaps because of the music piece it is sort of over-stuffed, not as plush feeling as the baby whoozit. Also, it is missing a lot of the textures the baby whoozit has which my baby loves -corduroy, crinkle, satin, etc.

Compared to a lot of the other baby toys out there this one is great, but compared to all the the Manhattan toy stuff its just ok. Save your money and buy the baby whoozit or the skwish.

I ordered this product in the hope of having another sound/light entertainer for my daughter. Although it does have light, it is very small and not very noticeable. Object is very colorful and made of many textures, just not what I was looking for.

I bought this for my 3 mth old but she doesn't like it. It doesn't have any sound to it unless you pull the cord and the extensions don't really do anything so it's pretty boring compared to other toys I've bought. The velcro black loop is not as sturdy either.

I got this toy because it lit up and played music. The toy needs more lights and the music is not really all that great but the colors and things sticking off of the toy keep my son entertained in the store while in the stroller. He will play with all the things sticking off of it while we shop and it keeps his attention for awhile. I like that the toy has a velcro band on it to attach it to the stroller strap. This keeps it attached and not on the floor, since he likes to throw his toys now. He really likes the blue teether on the toy. I bought it for the lights and music so I am kind of disappointed about that part because it only has 2 dim lights and one song, but my son likes it anyway so I guess that makes it a good toy.

We got this toy as a gift for my baby. It is cute, but like another reviewer said, pretty heavy. Baby likes to swing it around, hitting himself with it. Also when holding baby in my lap while he plays with it, it gets dropped over and over again, slamming into my feet and toes. Overall, I think it is poorly designed, doesn't need to be so heavy and hard. Probably going to throw it away. :(

It looks very cute but is extremely dangerous for your baby due to the fact that it is very hard and heavy so when she swings it around and hits herself in the face it hurts her... Not very well designed or baby friendly since it's a rattle made for shaking
