Our grandson enjoys playing with the quality toy. It is well made and feels good to touch nice wood. We take it to restaurants and we all play with it. He is 2 years old, but I think he'll be using it for several more years. Great for hand eye coordination.

this is a nice simple little toy for my 18-month old. it's small enough for her to easily take out and put away which is great b/c she enjoys playing with it on her own.

it holds her attention longer than a lot of our other toys...sometimes the simplest toys really are the best. she especially likes to see how many flowers she can stack in one peg before it tips over. it's well-made and i like that it's a different spin on the stacking toys, a cute way to help build fine motor skills.

Sassy Rock and Roll Ring Stacker Toy

I was a little hesitant to buy this toy after reading some reviews that there were "sharp" edges on this. Or that it is made of "cheap" plastic. When it arrived, I checked it out right away and the edges are all smooth. As for it being made of cheap plastic.... I would rather have BPA free plastic than poisonous heavy duty plastic? For $10 I'm not sure how heavy duty we're expecting this toy to be. My 6 month old loves chewing on the rings, and rolling around on the floor with this. I am so glad I went ahead and got this.

We bought this for our daughter for Christmas and she loves it. Very colorful and the rings are different shapes and colors. She loves to shake the hell out of the ball on top which is filled with beads. Only problem was that the item is different than the one pictured.

We purchased this stacker as opposed to the FP stacker because the prices were different at the time, and this one was cheaper. Oops. The FP stacker, in my experience, is easier for babies to use. My two-year-old still has difficulty getting one of the rings off the post with this one. It is our pink ring, though I would imagine that due to poor quality control people might have issues with other rings on their sets. I need to remove the ring for him when he is playing with the stacker with his baby brother, otherwise he gets very mad at his inability to do something he knows he SHOULD be able to do. I can't even remove the ring without using both hands. Aggravating, considering this is a product that is supposed to be for babies with next to no coordination. I say buy the FP one, which seems to have better quality control. Unless the info I discuss below regarding rod diameter is important for you.

Somre reviews comment on the cool balls in the top ring. Yes, this is the most popular ring in the set. However, I believe other brands have this feature as well, if this is a selling point for you.

Other reviewers have complained that the rod is the same diameter all the way down, unlike other stackers which have a graduated taper. The complain being that kids "don't learn how to put things in the proper order, defeating the purpose of a stacking toy." I can't say I agree with this assessment. My son does enjoy putting the rings in various orders. Why not? He will learn "correct" order eventually. I think this allows for creative play. For example, as described under the product description proceeded by Amazon, you can stack the rings in reverse order and the roll it across e floor. My baby has officially declared this to be "cool."

Overall I would say this is a two star product in quality. It is tempting to give a third star for effort, but I will stick with my toddler's assessment on this one. Maybe some other folks will have better luck with ring diameter being consistent and won't have a frustrated two year old to deal with.

I had the Fisher Price version for my older two kids and thought that Sassy is usually fine so ordered this for baby's first Christmas. Well it's going off to the charity bin. Thankfully a friend had sent baby the Fisher Price version for Christmas too so we have a decent ring-stack toy. Skip this and buy a decent one. It looks fine in the picture but is very light-weight.

I purchased this for my 6 week old son. He uses the gumdrop pacifiers and I was having a little difficulty finding something similar to a Wubbanub that would fit his gumdrops. This bear is just right! When you first take it out of the package, it will seem that the velcro won't fit, but a little wiggling and it's perfect. I put it through the washer and dryer before using it, and it came out even softer than before. I love it and am considering purchasing another one, but probably a different animal.

The blue bunny has been my son's best sleep aid since he was about six months old. (I wish we'd thought to introduce Bunny sooner!) My son is now almost two, and Bunny is an essential part of sleeping -my son always falls asleep holding him, and he's always overjoyed to see Bunny again when he wakes up. These guys are the ideal size for this, and they wash well! My son's bunny has been washed many, many times in a regular load of laundry -we air-dry, which takes practically no time, since Bunny is so thin. (Bunny has actually gone straight from washer to crib a couple of times, and it's not a big deal.) We've learned the hard way that washability is an essential feature for all these sleep aids. No matter how luxe it is, it must be washed -and not everything stays soft after washing. These bunnies go the distance.

Note that the bunnies currently being sold are a little different from the old version. The first bunny my son received had no rattle in the head and no pacifier holder. I bought one of these new ones to have on hand as a spare and easily removed the rattle from the head so they would be more similar. To my son, they are apparently indistinguishable. The new one seems a little softer to me, but maybe that's just because it's seen a little less action so far. :o)

Evenflo ExerSaucer Triple Fun - Jungle

When I was looking at entertainment stuff for our new baby, I knew I wanted something similar to what our boys had had. Very few stationary entertainers out there rock and bounce anymore. That was half the fun for my little guys! At one point, T-Rex didn't even play with the toys he just liked to jump and spin! Anyway, this entertainer does that jumps/bounces, has a rotating seat, and has a rocker bottom (you can pull out the feet if you don't want it to bobble). The toys are brightly colored not pastel, which has been proven not be as visually stimulating. The toys are very engaging, too. The only con I would add is that it takes 9 AAA batteries to make all the toys work. I was willing to buy it anyway because of all the stages it offers. I liked the play mat for the tiny infant stage, the exersaucer for her current stage (5 months) and the idea of a play table when she's older. I don't feel like I spent a bunch of money on something she will only be interested in for a few months. This was super easy to put together, too! I did it alone in about 20 minutes the part that took longest was the screws, and only because our drill needed to be charged. :-) All in all, I would highly recommend this exersaucer! We tried a few others with sitters and at the homes of friends, but none of them quite compared to this bad boy! It's worth every penny!!

As an activity center for the baby to sit in, this is great because the baby can turn around and do all the activities. What's nice about this product is that you can transform it from a seated center into a standing activity center; however, when you do that, not only is it space consuming, but it is extremely unsturdy. When my baby stands up at it, I have to hold the activity center down because the legs are too far apart to make it sturdy. Also, it's very easy for the baby to push his or her weight and knock it over.

We have a very big 8 month old (approx. 26 lbs., and 30" tall), so we wanted a really good quality exersaucer that could to stand up to his jumping in it. We did a bunch of shopping around and this is the best one available. Our son loves all the toys on it as well as all the sounds it makes (he especially likes the talking iguana). It is a very study and well made toy. I checked both the Toys 'R Us and the Target websites on 6/12/09 and they were both charging $129 for this exersaucer. In closing, I would highly recommend this toy!

First I want to say that I have a different model of this toy, so I myself cannot comment on the toys this one comes with. However, after reading a few of the reviews, it seems that some parents have not stopped to think about the fact that when creating this toy, they had a rather wide age range in mind. Some of the toys need to be for older babies/young toddlers, or it will be useless as an activity table. That being said, the toys on it are called "switch-a-roos" for a reason. They come of and you can get different ones that are more "baby friendly" until your child is older. I know this is a bit expensive, but if you already spent the money on this, it might be worth investing in getting two or so to make it more fun for younger babies.

All of that said, here are the things that I absolutely love about this toy. It is the most versatile out there. It goes from a play mat, to an entertainer, to an activity table. It also doubles as a jumparoo. We had both with my son, and he liked jumping in this more. Needless to say, we sold the jumperoo and kept this for the next baby (although my son still uses it in table mode, and will probably not be thrilled when he is a big brother soon and the baby takes it over) My son LOVED this toy from day one. We first used it when he was almost six months, and there has not been a time since that he has not used it in one way or another. (He is now just shy of 15 months) I know it is not "recommended" to allow babies to pull up on it, however that is because the company does not want to be liable for an injury. It was what my son learned to pull up on (he started doing this when it was in the exersaucer mode, which was actually less stable, so we turned it into a table and he never once fell), and is very stable, although it does not always seem that way. It does shake back and forth, as my son LOVES to do to it, in the table mode, but we have never had a problem with it tipping. In fact, he has recently tried climbing it, and still has yet to tip it.

This is the baby item that I most highly recommend, and we will not be parting with ours until we are sure we are done having kids, and possibly not even then.

We got this a gift and were excited for the various stages. The mat for the infant was very lame. Not much room at all for her move around and the overhang was flimsy. Stage two, the saucer, was a big hit for 4-9 months. Once she was mobile she did not want to be in the saucer. So we moved it to stage three. It is terrible! It is very flimsy, not very tall so she has to bend over the toys and not study. The saucer was great and she enjoyed and it was good place to have her play. If you buy these I would just plan on using it as stage two.

VTech - Paint and Learn Art Easel

My son received this toy for his first birthday. We set it up and were shocked at the poor quality. The easel is very, very short (even though it has two height adjustments). It also tips over fairly easily. It wouldn't tip over so easily if the string that attaches the "paint brush" to the easel was a little longer. The string is so short that it's nearly impossible to maneuver the paintbrush and touch the colors and shapes. Once we were finally able to do so, we were very disappointed when we discovered that something else was wrong. When we touched the paintbrush to the number 2 it would say 3, and when we touched it to the green it would say yellow. It's a major problem when an educational toy is teaching your child the wrong thing, so we returned it. I recommend you spend your money on something else.

The picture given is the amazon page is slightly different from how it looks actually. I think this is due to Vtech constantly improving their toys. My one year old got this as a gift. She loves it. she keeps spinning the spinner and plays with the pen a lot.

Also this toy has a lot of potential to carry the interest up to 3 or 4 years. It has music and lights, piano, 1 learning card. One side teaches numbers, the other side teaches letters. When you do not use the card, it has shapes by default. My daughter has not explored even 50% of this toy. So she is going to have even more fun playing and learning with it in the coming months..

Last thing to add, it works perfectly (unlike what other reviewer said). It does not tip over easily unless you push it down.

My then 9 month old got this toy for Christmas. I had to have this for her because it looked like so much fun. I admit that I expected a little more from this toy, but I still really like it. It is set up like an easel, and has an interactive page that "clips" onto the easel. It teaches letters A-E, colors, etc.

There is a "paintbrush" that is used for touching the different colors, etc. to hear the talking and singing based on that particular item. It is a cute toy. I wish my baby liked it a little more, though. It does seem to be a durable toy, as she likes to bang the paintbrush against the easel repeatedly, especially when mad. I do like this toy, the only thing I wish it had is more letters and numbers to learn. I also bought this for a cousin, and plan to buy one for my nephew, so I do recommend it!

I have not had the same issues as the other reviewer of this product. My son is 17 months and seems to like this toy quite a bit. He is not able to interchange the easle pages on his own yet though. He also quickly learned that you don't need to use the wand to make the toy work.

The animals used to represent the ABC's are strange in my opinion. For "A" they use Ant, "C"caterpillar, "D" dragonfly. The only animal my son recognizes is the "B"Bee. I think Cat and Dog would be more appropriate for this age group. Nonetheless, this toy been a source of entertainment for my son. If you can find it on sale, I would recommend this toy.

Lil Character Infant Skunk Costume

This suit was very well made. It was nice and warm for my 18 mon old. he looked so cute.I was disappointed that there wasnt a stripe going down his back and the ears are a lil too big. a few people thought he was a lamb or kitty cat and i think if there was a stripe, it would have been more obvious he was a skunk. All in all, still very cute and confortable for my lil guy.

I guess this is what you expect from a children's costume. Cheap material. The feet would not stay on. He looked cute but he only wore it for about 20 minutes.

I ordered this costume for my 1-year-old daughter. She usually wears 12 month clothes or bigger. However, the 6-12 month size works perfectly. It is easy to put on and has easy access for diaper changes. The most convenient part is that the feet are not connected to the rest of the costume and are big enough to wear over shoes. The quality does not look or feel cheap. Such a great costume for my little stinker!

I ordered this costume for my 19 month old son, size was true but when i put it on him I was disappointed to see that the white stripe doesn't even run all the way down the back of him. I know the back of the costume isn't the "main" part but from the front he kinda just looked like a black and white cat or dog! Olivia Deluxe Costume

The costume is cute and fabric is good quality. But the tights are really big, the shirt is the size I expected and the jumper is really tight on my 2 yr old. I don't think she'll be able to wear it for dress-up after Halloween.

I paid a little extra for the "deluxe" Olivia costume since the basic one looked a little thin and flimsy. I'm pretty disappointed. The shirt is filthy, looks like it got dragged through the floor of a warehouse somewhere, and the tights are shredded like someone let their cat play with them. Also the description of the product says that shoes are included, but they aren't. I guess it's just as well, they'd probably be dirty or ruined as well. I'll definitely think twice before buying another Rubie's product.

Wonderworld Wheely Giraffe Toy

My ten month old son loves his wheely giraffe. It withstands all of his bashing. The paint has not chipped after several months of use. The cloth ears got dirty because my son likes to chew the toy more than wheel it.

I am very pleased with this toy. My son loves playing with it. It is one of his favorites. A great alternative to cars.

When it arrived the wood on the bottom of an 'axel' had rough splinters and needed to be sanded. It is now fine.

This is really great. I use this now to entertain my baby during tummy time and I am sure she will love it when she gets older and can manipulate it herself.

Disney Inflatable Bathtub

My son is 2 years old. He is on the smaller side. With that said, we travelled to California. Stayed in 2 hotels and a personal residence. This tub saved my life. Portable, sturdy, and cool. He loves it. I love it. And it withstood TSA, being folded and deflated multiple times from California back to Hawaii. Highly recommend it IF you can get your hands on one of them. They go quick!!!!

My 17 month old daughter likes it, and it appears well made...but there is NO DRAIN! I've never had a blow up infant tub without a drain! So after I rinse the soap off my daughter, I have to take her OUT of the soapy tub, dump the water, and rinse the soap off her. Very disappointed in this tub.

It's a cute looking bathtub, but the reason i bought it was to have something to give my baby daughter a bath in, that could also be cleaned and stored eaily. We only have a shower, and have limited storage at our place. This bathtub does the job admirably. I dont bother to deflate it ever, but it is light, easy enough to drain by simply tipping it into the shower, easy enough to clean by using our showerhead, as simple to dry as just leaning it against the shower wall, and simple enough to store in the corner of the bedroom behind her changing table. For less than $20, i dont see how you could do much better, and quite frankly, i dont see the need for anything more costly either. It was exactly what i needed it to be and everything i expected.

LeapFrog LeapStages™ Infant Learning System

This toy was shipped to us without the second, third and fourth stage cards. Because it is a new product, Leapfrog has no "replacement parts" and so can't send me the rest of the stages. Nor will they send me a replacement. You might want to buy it in a store where you can open the box to make sure it's all there.

My son received this toy when he was 3 months old. Now he is 9 months old and he has enjoyed it at every stage. There are four stages and a card to go with each stage. At stage 1, he loved listening to the classical music and batting at the plastic things while laying on his back. At stage two, we altered the stand so that he could sit up and play the "baby senses" card (which he loved and laughed hysterically at!) Now at stage 3 he stands up and pushes the plastic things to make consonant sounds. The only complaint I have is that now at 9 months, he is very interested in pulling the card out of the slot and chewing on it which confuses the system and the mouse on the card will "oink" occaisionally. They should have made it a little more difficult for a baby to get the card out of the holder. But overall, it was a good buy.

I love this toy, and so does my 5 month old, but the songs get waaayy overplayed. There are a few different cards for different age ranges, but my baby loves all the cards. There is a card that has 3 songs on it, and it your baby keeps pushing the same button, "The Rainbow Song" can take it's toll on you.... Her favorite card is the one that teaches baby senses, she loves to hear the baby giggle. I wish they made other cards for this toy, then maybe there would be more of a variety of songs..My daughter would rate this toy a 6, i give it a 4.

I am a big fan of the leap products. They seem to be indestructible. This is my third child and she just loves the stage one classical music and will lay under it for 45 minutes at a time and watch the lights and listen to the music. It is very sturdy (didn't break when my 4 year old used it as a bench). We are looking forward to using the next stages throughout Abby's continuing development. The instruction are my only complaint. They could have been a little more helpful, but used only pictures to describe assembly procedure. Was not too complicated thank goodness but the piece that puts the legs onto the main part was a little difficult to figure out.

My son just turned six months old, and he loves this toy. His face lights up watching the screens, and he loves pressing the levers. It's the perfect size for him to sit at, too. It was a bit of a challenge putting it together, though, and for some reason it says not to use rechargeable batteries in it. But we are very happy with it.

Tiny Love Soothe 'n Groove Mobile

Mobiles are a must have product for babies. This mobile has met all my expectations.

Pros:

1. This is a major plus The mobile is universal. You can place it in any crib style. I bought a very expensive crib with lots of intricate wood details and found that it was hard to put one of those mobiles they sell with matching bedding sets. I also use it in my cradle. Very versatile.

2. Animals are big enough for baby to pay attention. The Elephant, Giraffe and Monkey are attached to two strings and they move their heads down and up to face baby as they approach the baby while going down.

3. Lots of music and lasts longer than most. White noise did help calm crying baby.

4. Can be adjusted to different heights by adjusting the music box. This is a great feature for when baby can reach up to grab the mobile.

5. Sound level can be adjusted.

6. Night light is awesome. By the way you can turn it off, it it bothers you. There are two on features. One with night light the other one without it.

8. Baby can press on buttons to change music.

Cons:

I really don't care about this one, but it does make a clacking noise. It doesn't bother my girl. I did figure out why it does this. The blue disks that hold the animals shake when the animals turn. The disk has to be able to slightly turn in order to allow animals to twirl around and have heads smile at baby as it starts going down.

Overall, I love the mobile. It has given me some sanity by entertaining my baby girl. Best of all she loves it. She even talks to the animals.

This mobile is mostly excellent great quality speakers and the animals are fun for my baby to watch. The light is bright enough to see what's going on but not too bright to turn on at night. The selection of music is fun and varied and the heartbeat sound is so soothing to my baby. Why not 5 stars, you ask? There's one major problem. While you can choose a category (such as classical or white noise) of music to play for 40 minutes, the sound changes within that category. For example, the hearbeat sound puts my baby right to sleep but I can't just play the heartbeat. After a minute or two it changes to the stream and then the animals sounds or whatever other white noise sounds there are. As soon as it switches from hearbeat to stream my little guy wakes up. I'm so bummed because I LOVE everything else about this amazing mobile. What a shame.

After looking for not only a cute mobile, but also one that would do a good job, I selected this one and could not be happier. It is for my newborn sister. First off, it is very pretty. It was fairly easy to install, and does not seem to move or to be at risk of falling. The selection of music, and the lenght are great. There is enough choice to please any baby's tastes. The lights are really dimmed and peaceful. The toys make a light noise when they rotate (which based on other reviews was my only concern when I purchased it), but it is almost nothing, and it is certainly not an issue for baby to fall sleep or rest in his/her crib ! I am sure this will grow to be excellent entertainement for my baby sister when she can move better and be more aware of her surroundings. Mommy and daddy love this mobile too. I was hoping to find a mobile with remote control, but since I could not have it all, I settled for one without...and came to realize that the remote would be pretty useless at this point (and since one piece of music last 40 mins, it gives baby plenty of time to fall asleep!). So far, I cannot mention one thing I dislike. Honnestly, I am very picky, which is why I looked and looked, the price seems fair, and I do not regret this purchase at all.

This was the second mobile that we purchased first one was visually stimulated but no movement or sound, so we purchased this one. Our son loves this one. And the music is fine for both playtime in the nursery and baby falling asleep. Only complaint is that it makes a soft "cranking" noise when it moves. Not a deal breaker, but wish the mechanics were silent (why I gave 4-stars). Overall, very pleased with purchase and would recommend especially compared to others available.

Fisher-Price Growing Baby Elephant Shape Sorter

The top to this shape sorter comes off too easily, making it pointless. My son is 9 1/2mo. old and the first thing he did was take off the top & throw it. He wasn't interested in trying out the shapes. It's too bad. It's such a cute toy & I love how the elephant moves on the front. All the toy needs is a latch so that adults can take the top off to get the shapes out, but that will keep babies from taking it off prematurely.

I had a problem with the elephant face it falls off and the back piece my son popped into his mouth and about gave me a heart attack. I don't think it was supposed to fall apart like that we just got it for Christmas and he had already dismantled it by next day. he is 8 months old so it wasn't like it was rough play just average baby play. my concern is choking hazard the back piece that keeps the face on is small enough for the little ones to put it completely in their mouth. He still plays with it (minus the face). but the fun face was the reason i bought this one instead of the standard variety.

Star Wars Animated Ahsoka Child Costume

The image shown on Amazon is the same image used on the package insert. However, it has no relationship to the product in the package. The costume consists of a one piece jump suit, the belt, and the head piece. I was disappointed in the quality of it all. The skirt portion of the jumpsuit only covers the front! The belt looks like it was created using magic markers. The headpiece is the worst. Absolutely nothing like the photo and not really functional as designed. My daughter was so excited about dressing up as Ahsoka that she's overlooking all of this, which is good. Just be prepared if you order this. The photo looks so much better than the actual product.

The picture shown in the advertising and on the package completely misrepresents the look and quality of this costume. I have never seen such a cheaply made, ill-fitting thing before. The headdress on the package does not resemble the one included at all. It's made of cheap, plastic-like fabric and thin foam without finished seams. A tiny piece of elastic with velcro on it was supposed to keep it on. It didn't, and my daughter couldn't even wear it. The opening at the back of the body suit was open almost down to the waist and, again, had only a tiny piece of velcro at the neck to hold it together. The ankles were so tight she could hardly get her feet through and I had to cut a slit in them to get them over her boots. The whole thing was piece of junk and I'll never buy another costume from this company again.

This is very poorly made and not worth the money. The material is thin and cheap. The stitching is uneven and the belt wasn't dyed evenly. However, I expected it to be poorly made before I bought it from other reviews I had read. My 6 year old had her heart set on being Ahsoka and I couldn't make the outfit. She was happy! My advice: If you can sew at all, Ahsoka's costume is pretty simple, do it yourself. On the other hand it will get the job done if you have a child set on it!

My daughter is 10 weeks old and absolutely loves this travel mobile! I got it for her when she was 4 weeks old, and since then it has delighted her. It easily clips to the pack and play we use downstairs as a second changing table, and it is way more engaging to her than the little stuffed mobile toys that came with the pack and play. And whenever we take a trip, I take it off the pack and play and clip it to the car seat handle. She stares, smiles, laughs, and kicks excitedly every time I lay her under it, and I can spin and rotate it with my hand to provide her further entertainment. It makes diaper changes fun, distracts her in the car, and we take it everywhere we go!

This is the greatest idea and the sweetest little mobile-to-go! The clip is very strong and durable and the plastic discs are thicker than expected. We clipped it on the infant car seat bar while pushing our baby in the buggy and when the wind blows, it spins. It is the perfect size for the car seat and the art on the discs is adorable. We looked at it from the baby's angle and really liked that it is angled for the baby's view, not just adults. So many mobiles are made to face the room or the adults, which are pointless for the baby. Beautiful quality and excellent idea :)

My daughter loves to look at this mobile. You can continue to add variety by changing the sides of the discs she looks at. I can move it between her carseat of bassinet as needed. The only negative is that I have already lost one of the pieces. I don't know how or when. They seemed to be well secured when they arrived so I am not sure if they became loose at I changed them around.

These cupcakes are soooo cute! My daughters (ages 3 & 6.5) love to bake and decorate with me. So when I saw these, I knew they'd have fun! The icing (aka: markers) are such a cute touch.... HOWEVER, like another review stated, they ARE markers and DO NOT wipe off most surfaces. They are only intended for the plastic topping on the cupcakes. My youngest didn't realize she didn't have the plastic frosting cap on and iced all over the wooden cupcake. The marker came off a little, but not completely. Maybe Melissa and Doug could correct this problem by using washable markers. I totally recommend this toy for any little girl (or boy!) who enjoys baking with Mum (or Dad!) in the kitchen! But parental supervision is highly recommended!!!

My daughter really likes these cupcakes, and it's one of her favorite toys to play with. I like them too, except for the icing, which is a marker. The marker does not come off some surfaces, including the cupcakes. She chose to draw all over her wallpaper in our rental home, and when I tried to remove the marks, they won't budge. The print on the wallpaper came off and the marker is still there. IF you buy these, toss out the icing asap and just play pretend.

Plan Toy Pull-Along Snail

We have the snail and the Dancing Alligator. This one is better. While the Alligator certainly makes more noise and is a great toy, it is prone to tipping over and our toddler ends up just dragging it around on its side or its back.

The Snail however, has no "upside down". It works right side up or upside down and always manages to right itself if it gets on its side for some reason. Can't say the same for the Alligator.

Our family is happy with both. Nevertheless if this is your first purchase and you're trying to decide between the Snail and the Dancing Alligator, you might be happier with the Snail.

Our one year old son *loves* this toy, which is beautifully made and very charming to watch. I wanted to offer an update on the earlier post about a recall: apparently 3,000 snails were recalled in 2002, but the newer models meet safety standards, so don't worry about buying!

I purchased this pull along snail for my daughter before she could even walk. She used to sit and just hold him and play with him... as she grew and learned to walk he quickly became a favorite, she pulled him all over the house, to the store, to grandma's, even to bed he came (try rolling over on a hard snail in the night OUCH LOL). She is 3 now and still plays with slimey the snail at least every other day. His colors are worn, I've had to glue him a couple times but she still loves him. I'm here today to buy a new one for her since he's reaching the end of his days but I couldn't be happier with the toy or durability being that it's been a couple years of daily rough play (he's gone done the stairs a few times).

Wonderful toy and great timeless/genderless gift to give as well.

This toy is a HUGE hit with my granddaughters! I didn't realize that the snail's body moved up and down so much, which provides sensory feedback when pulling it. The movement is so smooth and funny to watch that it mesmerized the 10 month-old and the 2 1/2 year-old loves pulling it along behind her. Even the 8 year-old took a turn at pulling it around the house, desisting only when 2 1/2 year-old became very insistent. I'm going to order the alligator next and may invest in a second snail, just to keep the peace!

I ordered this toy for my grandson (his age at the time was 13 months)because he had received another pull along toy that lasted about a minute and I knew there must be something better out there. After reading the reviews I was skeptical about this toy being able to follow even when upside down. In very short order it became my grandson's favorite toy. He takes it for walks several times a day and even when he is riding on the truck that we pull, Mr Snail must follow along or sometimes Mr. Snail gets to ride on the truck also. The action is really cute but the very best part is that he's always upright and following instead of flopping on his side and being dragged like most pull toys. I don't know that there is necessarily any educational value but I do know that it's loads of fun and no frustration! Absolutely recommend this over any other pull toy I've ever seen.
