Fabulous. Wasn't sure after reading other reviews what to expect. It is something that my nephew will be able to use for multiple years. The games that are on it are very good for reading preparedness.Read Best Reviews of Kidz Delight Smooth Touch Tablet, Alphabet Here
Nice toy for my 3 year but it was not clear from the advertising this is NOT a tablet. The images on the screen are buttons they press. I thought it would be a more interactive tablet that had games pre-loaded so it wouldn't have to go out to the Internet. My son still likes it and the games are fun but eventually he gets bored and it doesn't keep him from wanting mine! This was a gift for my Grand Daughter and my Nephew. They are just toddlers and loved them. Made them feel just like the "Big Kids".Friday, August 1, 2014

North American Bear Flatopup Baby Cozy
Buy North American Bear Flatopup Baby Cozy Now
This is our fourth "flato" cozy and we love them. Yes, they are small, but that's the idea. It's perfect for even the littlest hands and both my 6 month old and two year old them them. The pup has plenty of places for the baby to chew on, which is the main purpose of these in the beginning. The face is very cute and the baby loves getting kisses from his pup. My favorite part, besides the extreme softness and cute factor, is the ease of it being machine washable. They come through the wash beautifully. Overall, i definitely recommend this for any child!Read Best Reviews of North American Bear Flatopup Baby Cozy Here
I was already aware that this item was going to be small from the other reviews, however this I was still a bit taken back by the size. They are accurate in saying the size of an adult hand. Anyway it is super soft and my son is teething right now and so he is constantly chewing on it. He is 5 months and since it is small and lightweight he is easily able to pick it up and hold on to it.My son has the horse and this was a Christmas present...so soft and light weight, we give him this to snuggle with at night, no worries he will smother himself. Perfect size for a lovey!Little Tikes Baby Tap A Tune Piano
I wouldn't so much say it's an educational toy at this point. But I am proud that he quickly caught on to the fact that by him hitting the top portion (the xylophone) it would result in a noise. He used the two little sticks to hit the piano portion as well, but hey he'll learn. This toy, in the short time that we have had it, has already entertained him for a couple of hours a day. I sit him in front of it and he goes at it laughing and looking at me with a face of pride and accomplishment.
My son is 9-months-old but I can see this being a toy that will interest even a toddler. It's a cute, simple toy. Small enough that it does not take much room to store (important to me because I live in an apartment) and easy to wipe down and clean.
So far, I've loved it and am so glad I got one.I bought the Baby-Tap a Tune Piano for my grandson when he was 4 months old. He immediately took to it. He is now 6 months and still going strong. When he visits me, which is quite often, his face lights up whenever I take it out for him to play with. Being a grandmother I have bought a great many different toys for him, but this one is his favorite. He loves pounding on the keys and gets very excited when he hears the sounds that he makes all by himself. The toy is literally unbreakable, and very safe. There are no loose parts or sharp edges. He is 6 months old now and sitting by himself and is enjoying the piano even more. The only thing that frustrates him is that he cannot pick it up and chew on it. His frustration does not last long once he starts playing his very own compositions on this great piano. I would recommend this to anyone who has a child 4 months and up. At first he used to lie on his belly and bang on the piano, now that he's sitting it is much easier for him to entertain himself and his grandmother by playing his very own compositions. The price is excellent and this toy will last for years. Highly recommended.

As musicians, my husband and I hope to foster a love of music in our children, so we're happy Little Tikes makes musical instruments. I lucked out and got this at a garage sale, but however you get it, this makes a great first instrument for the young 'uns. The four keys outline a major chord and are easy to bang on. My daughter likes to have me sing back the notes she's playing! However, she is nearing 2 1/2, and is more than ready for the full octave piano--there are SO many basic tunes you can play on that one! So her baby brother can play on this one! We love just about anything Little Tikes makes, for their durability, colors, educational value, or just plain fun! If you can get only one, however, go with the full octave piano, as other reviewers have recommended!Read Best Reviews of Little Tikes Baby Tap A Tune Piano Here
Serenity got this piano when she was around 5 months old. She's almost 21 months old now, and this is still one of her favorite toys to play with! It's a simple, durable toy that requires nothing but your child's imagination to play! It teaches babies "cause & effect" when they are younger, and as they get older they learn to "play" different tunes. Serenity even sings as she taps out her tunes!
For sure a bigger piano will do more and a Schoenhut First Piano is something I'm seriously considering purchasing for Serenity's 2nd Birthday or maybe Christmas, but given the tons of abuse this piano has endured over the past 16 months, and all the smiles, laughs and fun Serenity has had playing with it I would buy it again in a heartbeat! This is a really great toy. It plays nice notes that have a good sound to them even when played in any combination. The notes can be played with the lightest touch or by banging the notes as my 8 mo old sometimes does. She likes the noises and I do too very easy on the ears. It's one of her favorite toys!

Baby Signing Time DVD Collection
Buy Baby Signing Time DVD Collection Now
I bought these when my daughter was 7 months old. I was expecting her to sign to communicate but she didn't sign until she was about 11 year old. She was very excited even before the movie started, when she hears the giggles and the logo popping up. When she was about 13 months old, her signing vocabulary increases by 1-2 words per week if I keep showing her the signing and the real subjects. Now, she is 16 months old. she can sign baby, music, food, drink, peach, dog, dada mama, hat, music, more, milk, shoes, socks, dirty, nice, please, sorry, etc. It is a lot of fun seeing her signing because she looks so cute and silly!

I ordered this DVD set for my 13 month son at the time. He loves this set. After two days watching first DVD, he started signing for "drink" and "more". I was surprized how quick he picked up. He is now 20 months old and still these are his favorate DVDs. I also bought Wordworld but he prefer to watch signing time. So I ordered signing time practice which teach him ABCs and 123s but he doesn't like to watch it too long. Maybe he is too young for that. Before he started watching this, I let him watch "your baby can read" since he was 3 month old. No, he didn't learn how to read but, he learned all his body parts from that DVDs. I don't play after we got signing time but he still knows all his body parts. Our family was impressed that he knows all his body parts at 8 month. Another DVD he really likes is "Letter factory" but not as much as signing time. Anyways, I would highly recommend this to every mom who wants to communicate with their little one.Want Baby Signing Time DVD Collection Discount?
I bought these when my daughter was about 4 months. We have only watched the 1st DVD so far, so that is why I have only rated this as 4 stars. My daughter loves watching the other babies' faces, so this signing video definitely keeps her attention, much more so than the animated baby sign flash cards we play with on my iPad from time to time. Your baby will learn the signs faster if you watch the video and sign along with him or her. For instance, during the song about drinking, I always have a glass of water near by and am sure to sign to her that 'mommy is drinking water' while the video is playing the 'drink' song. So yes, you should watch this video with your children so you can lean the signs and use them with baby, I try to avoid using this video as ababy sitter, although it sure is tempting sometimes. If she loves the other DVDs as much as the first, this will be a 5 star product.UPDATE: It's official these DVDs are awesome! My daughter just turned 7 months old and started signing 'milk' to me this week while she was drinking a bottle. Now I can ask her by signing if she wants milk and if she doesn't she just looks at me, but if she does she signs milk back to me. It is so amazing that she can communicate with me now on some level. She gets really excited now everytime we watch one of the DVDs.

We bought this product for my daughter. When it came in the mail it was in a flat box. No where in the ordering did it say, assembly required. I was thinking hmmm I wonder why. I open the box, it is in pieces down to the part where you put the batteries in and the directions are in Chinese. Complete frustration. I am shocked that Amazon would have a company that deceiving in their store.Read Best Reviews of Astrostar Astro Star Laser Projector Cosmos Light Lamp Here
To all who wrote a bad review, before you throw your projector away, maybe you should watch this assembly video...The actual product is from a site called Infmetry, and I saw a few other videos with the product and the box is clearly not from here, which would explain why the directions were in Chinese. However, if you buy it from here on Amazon it does not tell you assembly is required, where as the site Infmetry does and an assembly video is provided on the site as well. The actual product is not AstroStar, in fact, it is called a DIY Romantic Star Light Kit, so "DO IT YOURSELF" is written in the title. Go figure... Anyway, whether you buy it off of here, or the Infemtry site, I hope you check out the video and give this product a chance. Like the others who reviewed this so well, you just have to give a little elbow grease to enjoy.

Safety 1st Activity Walker, Kenley Sound 'N Lights
Buy Safety 1st Activity Walker, Kenley Sound 'N Lights Now
When I first received this walker, I was very frustrated because my daughter's toes would only touch the ground if she leaned to the side (she's 9 months and in the 50% for height). I concidered returning it but decided not to and instead used it as a chair for her when I was prepping food in the kitchen. I'm glad I kept it because after about three days, the seat "settled" in place (I assume that's what happened; possibly it stretched) and now her feet touch the ground. My daughter isn't particular amused with the attached toys but her cousin, who is about the same age, LOVES the toys. The noise making one does produce an obnoxiously loud tune but if you place a strong adhesive tape over the speaker (small hole on bottom), you can muffle the sound and neither of the babies that use mine have bothered with the tape.

My daughter is 8 months old and in the 50th percentile for height; her feet do not even come close to reaching the floor on the lowest setting! The instructions say to lower the adjustment until your baby is comfortably standing, but your baby can't even stand because of the design of the seat; it has baby in the sitting position so that her legs are in an L-shape instead of downward. By the time my daughter will be tall enough to use this, she'll probably be walking on her own, rendering this walker useless. She was excited when we sat her in this, so it made me sad to see that she couldn't even operate it because of the height. I ended up pushing her around the living room a little bit just so she could have fun for a few minutes. The wheels on this are cheaply made. They sounded ragged on my wood floors, and would catch a little when I turned the walker, so I imagine it won't roll much at all if you have carpet.
This item requires batteries, which come with it, but what they don't tell you is that you cannot change the batteries. There is not a way to change them at all! ...So once the batteries run down, this walker is no longer a "Sounds 'n Lights" walker, because there will be no more sounds and lights; there will only be slider toys and a push button.
The music on this walker is incredibly loud! It hurt my ears being farther away, so I can't imagine what it did to my daughter's ears sitting right there next to the speaker, especially if I had left it on for longer than the few seconds I did. There is no way to adjust the volume, either, so you can either not use the music or blow out your baby's eardrums.
The toy steering wheel was a joke, too. It seems like it's backward, and my daughter couldn't even turn it other than a few budges. It's in an awkward position.
I do not recommend this product whatsoever! It is a complete waste of money. The only thing good I can say about it is that it looks cute.

I purchased the above item for my granddaughter's 1st birthday in February. She is now 16 months old. Sadly, she looks tobig for this item and she is small for her age. This will never be age appropriate to 4 YEARS OLD. She will only be able to play
on it this summer. VERY MISLEADING INFORMATION. I would not recomend this product!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a great small climber! It is small enough to easily fit into a decent sized bedroom/ playroom, but still big enough to befun to climb and play on for little ones. The age rec on this was 1-4, but i'd say its more appropriate for about 15mos to 2.5yrs. Any older and the child might be amused for a day, but it is just not challenging enough or big enough. The swings sits very low and the slide is pretty short.that makes them great for learning to use them and entertaining toddlers, but preschool age kids would probably not have as much interest. My son is not crazy about using the swing for himself, but he puts his bear in it and pushes it. Also, as many other commenters said, the climb up to the platform is fine for a child who's been walking/climbing for a few months, but since there is minimal traction, it might be a bit too hard for very early climbers. Still, some challenge is good for the child to develop climbing and coordination skills. The telescope and wheel are especially fun for my son and his friends who've been over. They seem to get a Big kick out of aiming the scope around to look at each other though it, and spinning the wheel seems to be fun for imaginitive play as if they are driving. It is also very sturdy, and was incredibly easy to assemble. It took me less than 10 minutes to get it set up in my son's room, even without needing directions. I would say go for this if your kids are very young, but otherwise they'll outgrow it too soon.Want Little Tikes Endless Adventures Swing Along Castle Discount?
We received this for Christmas as a gift from the Grandparents. Its small and was intended to stay in our basement for winter play. Its a very sturdy item, and was really quick and easy to set up.However, the swing handles are straight metal bars, with not much of a backward motion. My 14 month old daughter hates being in the swing currently. But I suspect it will break easily on the backward motion of the swing, if or when she wants to actually go in.
Also, there aren't stairs to climb on the back to get down the slide. Its a sort of "rock climbing wall" back there to get onto the slide platform. She hasn't been able to climb it yet, as she slides off the "rocks", unless she has on a rubber soled shoe. Since this is indoors currently, she often is in socks or a leather soled slipper shoe. Not enough traction to climb up onto the platform to get down the slide.
Its good in theory, but I wouldn't recommend it as it is.

Evenflo ExerSaucerJump and Learn Stationary Jumper, Jam Session
Buy Evenflo ExerSaucerJump and Learn Stationary Jumper, Jam Session Now
I was wary of many jumpers because they had so many attachments and noisy components and colors and craziness that I thought there was no way they could be good for babies or their attention spans (or my migraines). Our baby LOVES this jumper, and it's not even really that noisy or annoying. The colors are less obnoxious than on a lot of other jumpers.Downsides are that it takes an awful lot of batteries (12 AAA), and it's a real pain to assemble (some of the pieces on ours didn't fit perfectly together, and so the little blue saucer disc is not completely attached to the frame despite our best efforts). But our son loves it so much that I couldn't knock a star for them.

I bought this because I was hoping a music themed jumparoo would have some better music. I think it's decent. There a jazz, rock'n roll and classical sound to it. the jazz is "when the saints come marching in", the rock in "rocking robin" and I should know what the classical tune is with my background but I'm not sure about that. It's interesting because the different "stations" interact with each other if you get them going at the same time, ie, if the baby plays the drums, and then moves over to the keys, the drums are activated along with the keys and play along for a few moments. I think this is pretty sophisticated but it doesn't last too long. Overall the look of this is OK, the music is definitely better than others, and I'm overall happy with it. I did purchase a large mirror that I mounted to the side with the stuffed instruments that my baby really appreciates. The disc on the bottom has a little give to it but I wouldn't call it bouncy by any means. The mirror I bought is: Wimmer-Ferguson Double-Feature Mirror and it fits very well on the cross bar. I recommend adding this as any baby loves a mirrorWant Evenflo ExerSaucerJump and Learn Stationary Jumper, Jam Session Discount?
We purchased this for my 4 month old after reading through tons and tons of reviews and advice on purchasing a Jumparoo versus an ExerSaucer. I am so glad we went with this ExerSaucer! Here are the PROS:
Very sturdy/solid and well made. The toy options are fantastic. My 4 month old is able to grab at the large teethers without a problem and flip the music book toy back and forth. There are others that she is not strong or tall enough to play with just yet, but of course she is growing...
The seat is deep and very supportive. She is able to reach the bottom (first setting) without having anything under her feet. (Note: when you first put your baby in it he/she will probably not be able to reach, but the elastics stretched after a total of about 1 hour of use.)
I love that the seat is bouncy, but not super bouncy. I really didn't want my child to just keep bouncing like crazy without paying attention to any of the toys around her. This is a GREAT option if you have older siblings that will also be playing with your younger one. My 4 year old loves playing with this with her baby sister, the microphone is her favorite. The three musical toys on the base (piano, book, and drum) have two noise settings, the lower setting is perfect for us, not too loud. I don't find the songs annoying in any way. The musical toys on the base are also "smart" in that, if set to the right mode, play at the same time when only one of them is pressed. I have called the company myself and have confirmed that all plastics are BPA free. The plastics in this product are PP, ABS, and EVA (a common platic used for teethers), which all seem acceptable.
Things you need to be aware of:
This has a large footprint. Although this doesn't bother me at all.
The seat really doesn't turn as well as it probably should. I have not gotten around to calling the company, but I will soon and update my review with their response. The seat is not an issue for us at this point.
This is made in China.
