We bought this as a Christmas gift for my older son. The packaging was in very poor condition when I received it. It took less than a week before it broke and we now have a three legged dog.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the variety of the audio features. My daughter (2.5 yrs old) enjoys all the settings. Each setting has multiple audio responses for each animal and they are interesting and educational (not just, the animal sounds). Its a good size, bigger than it appears.

My one year old son loves the music. He has not used all of the interactive features yet. For instance, spinning the globe plays music but pushing the animal buttons makes the globe talk. Right now our son just enjoys the music. My only gripe is that the globe tips over easily. If the base were more stable my son could spin it for longer periods without an adult having to sit it upright again when it tips over.

Well there are many flaws but it's generally cute. A good "starter" globe toy. Our daughter is almost 2 and she isn't that interested in it. She'll play with it for a little bit, maybe she'll be more interested when she's a bit older. However it's "fatal flaw" is the on/off button. It's bright green and invites kids to press it, and it's right at eye level sitting on a table. So whenever she doest start playing with she likes to turn it on and off over and over and over and over and over. She laughs and laughs while I go crazy trying to get her to actually play with it lol. I dunno, it's just not everything I thought it would be, I'm keeping it though and hoping she'll grow into it. It's definitely cute.

I bought two of these for my nephews, both 10 months old. They love to listen to the noises coming from all the various buttons you can push or move. They are too young at this point to understand what is being said, and I'm not sure they've grasped that they can actually make the different noises from the buttons they are pushing but they love it nonetheless. As they grow I think they will learn from playing with it. The only problem for adults is that the main song will get stuck in your head.

Wonderworld Flower Stacker

Our grandson enjoys playing with the quality toy. It is well made and feels good to touch nice wood. We take it to restaurants and we all play with it. He is 2 years old, but I think he'll be using it for several more years. Great for hand eye coordination.

Dandelion Roly Poly Rattle Ball

The only reason why I gave 4/5 stars is because I wish they made this product with 100% organic materials. The colors of the ladybug are perfect for getting you baby's attention. I washed this in hot/cold water and then let it air dry. When I took it out of the washer, the fabric was very rough. I thought I had ruined it. But once it completely dried, it was as good as new!! It isn't one of my daughter's favorite rattle toys, but I would still recommend it to other parents.

I love this little boy and it's soft rattle sound. My 4 month old son loves it's cheerful face and us "buzzing" it around him. It makes him laugh.

Boikido Wooden Musical Set

The wooden zylophone barely makes different sounds when you play the different notes and the wooden sticks are not attached so my daughter uses them as chew toys instead of playing with them and they are very small and dangerous even for children 3 yrs old. The picture shows that a maracca comes with this set but instead I received some kind of wooden clapper which doesn't even make any noise unless you shake the hell out of it and it is a very dull sound. The flute makes one loud shrill noise and, again, the notes do not vary much. The tambourine is the only decent piece in this set. I should have returned the whole thing but my daughter threw the clapper in the garbage which, ironically, is really where it belongs.

These things do not make music. You are better off buying each instrument separately from somewhere else. Save your money. this is junk.

We love the instruments & the colors are so fun! Have to wait on a couple of them though because my 1 yr. old puts them in his mouth & they're still a little too small for him to do that. Overall we love the product though!

I bought this for my baby's one-year birthday, as she LOVES music/musical stuff. Mainly what sold me was the thought of having a wood xylophone, thinking the sound would be softer/more natural (and less annoying) than the usual metal ones found in every other nursery. However, these didn't have the "natural" sound I was hoping for and neither was much, if any, softer in pitch than the cheap metal ones. Furthermore, they didn't even sound the notes right. I had worried that only having four keys wasn't enough, but I couldn't have known that some made the exact sound. (I might as well have a couple scrap pieces from 2x4's to use.) So while this set looks appealing for the reason of varity, it really doesn't offer it. Case in point, read on:

The flute essencially doesn't work, and there's no way to get more than one note to come out of it. The tambourine is okay, but really is no drum. The little shaker is probably the best item out of the bunch, but I've seen much better ones and is not worth buying.

While my kids did take a big interest in it all, I think it was a rip off. I would have returned if I'd saved all the original packaging. I ended up trying to sell it in a garage sale for ten bucks but had no takers even remotely close, despite the fact that it was only two weeks old and just very gently used. So, I still have it for now, but I'm planning to replace it with something else.

(I'd love a recommendation if anybody cares to comment. Thanks in advance.)

K's Kids Press and Go Inchworm Rattle

This is a really cute toy. I love that the sounds in the bead filled wheels ifs very gentle. Also when you let the toy go and it hits something, which it often does, it does not damage the surface not make a sound thanks to the soft plushy head of the caterpillar.

Loooooooove it, and my daughter plays with it often.

My only minor complaints are that the push down mechanism is not that easy for a baby to learn it does require pressure that a tiny hand just cannot figure out. So she plays with it as a rattle but I have to make it 'go'.

Also, the description suggests that the heads shakes. Well it doesn't shake on its own or during movement but you can rotate it manually.

I got this for my 17 month son. He loves it. It is a fun rattle, that he likes to shake, and I'm teaching him to press on it. Once pressed it rolls for a long time on the hardwood floors, but much shorter on the carpet. Also, I like the fact that it's not all plastic. The head and tail are made of soft material. I highly recommend it.

This is a much nicer quality than the typical toy trucks you get at retail stores. The tires feel like real rubber and it cruises along nicely on the table. Safety 1st Activity Walker, Kenley Sound 'N Lights

Overall this is not a bad walker. My daughter is 7 months old and she started sitting in it when she turned 6 months. Her feet still don't touch the ground and I'm not sure whether that is because she too small for it, if it is too big for her, or both, but I'm optimistic that she will be able to walk around in it soon enough. I wish the people who made this would have made it adjustable so that I could get her feet to touch the ground, but it is what it is. It might be smart to compare this walkers to other walkers before you buy it though. Hope this helps somebody.

When I first received this walker, I was very frustrated because my daughter's toes would only touch the ground if she leaned to the side (she's 9 months and in the 50% for height). I concidered returning it but decided not to and instead used it as a chair for her when I was prepping food in the kitchen. I'm glad I kept it because after about three days, the seat "settled" in place (I assume that's what happened; possibly it stretched) and now her feet touch the ground.

My daughter isn't particular amused with the attached toys but her cousin, who is about the same age, LOVES the toys. The noise making one does produce an obnoxiously loud tune but if you place a strong adhesive tape over the speaker (small hole on bottom), you can muffle the sound and neither of the babies that use mine have bothered with the tape.

My daughter is 8 months old and in the 50th percentile for height; her feet do not even come close to reaching the floor on the lowest setting! The instructions say to lower the adjustment until your baby is comfortably standing, but your baby can't even stand because of the design of the seat; it has baby in the sitting position so that her legs are in an L-shape instead of downward. By the time my daughter will be tall enough to use this, she'll probably be walking on her own, rendering this walker useless. She was excited when we sat her in this, so it made me sad to see that she couldn't even operate it because of the height. I ended up pushing her around the living room a little bit just so she could have fun for a few minutes.

The wheels on this are cheaply made. They sounded ragged on my wood floors, and would catch a little when I turned the walker, so I imagine it won't roll much at all if you have carpet.

This item requires batteries, which come with it, but what they don't tell you is that you cannot change the batteries. There is not a way to change them at all! ...So once the batteries run down, this walker is no longer a "Sounds 'n Lights" walker, because there will be no more sounds and lights; there will only be slider toys and a push button.

The music on this walker is incredibly loud! It hurt my ears being farther away, so I can't imagine what it did to my daughter's ears sitting right there next to the speaker, especially if I had left it on for longer than the few seconds I did. There is no way to adjust the volume, either, so you can either not use the music or blow out your baby's eardrums.

The toy steering wheel was a joke, too. It seems like it's backward, and my daughter couldn't even turn it other than a few budges. It's in an awkward position.

I do not recommend this product whatsoever! It is a complete waste of money. The only thing good I can say about it is that it looks cute.

Gund Lesley 16" Beige Bear

I received this beautiful jointed bear only to discover that the bear's joints did not work and the bear could not be posed so I returned it to Caught By Surprise where I ordered it from. The problem was due to bad Chinese manufacturing practices. Initially I gave Caught by Surprise a 3 star rating as I was so disappointed with the bear's functionality, but now, after they responded with my complaint promptly with sensitivity and professionalism, I want to give them a higher rating.

I expected something much nicer for the price. I found a different one for $25 that I liked a lot more.

Lamaze Play & Grow, Moose

Mortimer the Moose was a hit with my daughter who is only 3 months old but VERY active and attentive.

The moose has so many nice colors to attract my daughter's attention. In fact, as soon as she saw the moose, she smiled and kicked.

Given the size of the moose (fairly large), it is not a problem for her to handle it since there are so many places she can hold on to. She is easily able to grip onto the mooses legs and/or "ring" tail (the tail of the moose is 2 textured rings, which makes for easier handling with little ones that have such small fingers).

The ears are gummy and great for teething babies. But for my 3 month old who has no teeth just yet, she is content to suck on the mouth of the moose which is soft, instead. The nice thing about this is I don't have to worry about the fur coming off and her choking on it.

This moose is wonderful for her motor skills. I like the fact that it is all-in-one--a chew toy (ears are gummy); a rattle (2 hoofs rattle), a crinkler (two hoofs crinkle when squeezed); has play rings (tail is made up of 2 colorful, textured rings); a stuffed animal (something to hold that's soft and cuddly); the scarf crinkles; the body of the moose has a squeak toy inside, so when you press the body it makes a squeaking noise; and last but not least, it even has a hook (ring shaped with opening) to allow you to hang the moose any where you'd like.

For the price, it's a wonderful gift, a great deal and will sure to be a hit with the infants! (BTW, even my 3 year old loved it!)

This is one of my 5 month old's favorite toys. It keeps his attention for a good amount of time. He loves the crinkle sounds and teething antlers. I love that it comes with an attachment hook, making it very easy not to lose. It has a high cute factor too. I would definitely recommend Morti to any friends.

This toy is really cute and makes great sounds, but my 4 month old has a hard time grabbing most parts of it. The tail has rings that she can grab, but the hooves are rather large, she tries to grab the feet part instead of the legs. The antlers that appear to be good to gnaw on are not all that easy for my daughter to get her mouth on, plus I worry about the pointier edges. Although this is cute, bright, and has lots of different materials, there are better toys.

UPDATE: Now that my daughter is closer to 9 months, she is loving this toy. She grabs the hooves and swings it around and really enjoys the rings on the tail.

I bought 4 Lamaze toys based on their 5 stars reviews, Buzz the Bug, Freddie the Firefly, Mortimer the Moose, and Jacques the Peacock. They are all beautiful and good quality and all have teething rings, squeakers, crinkles, and rattles. BUT to be honest Jacques the Peacock beats them all so easily, my baby only cares about jack. When she was born I show her the High contrast Black and White dots on jack's wings, and she was so mesmerized for several minutes.. This was really cute! I loved that each of the little pieces had different noises. My daughter loves to rattle them. It's made out of plastic, with a mesh bottom, and cloth tree top. The letters feel like those iron ons for clothingI am skeptical they will hold up but only time will tell. My daughter is 8 months and it is age appropriate! Either way this really cute and I would recommend it!

It's a very simple toy, but my kid loves it. Each shape makes a different sound. We can use it while we read the book.

This was a Christmas gift given by my three year old daughter to my infant daughter this year. Its perfect for both ages. My three year old tells her sisters about the letters on each piece. I was slightly disappointed that the number of pieces did not correspond to the grouping of the letters on the pages and that there were only 4 pieces. They are double sided so all the letters are on 4 pieces. The pieces seem to be missing some sensory exploration common in toys like this. I had been hoping that the pieces would squeak, crinkle and rattle but they seem much quieter than other toys like it.
