Taggies Ring Ring Telephone

Taggies Ring Ring TelephoneFirst, I'll say that all three of my kids, especially the older two, like to play with this. However I was a bit surprised when I opened it up in person because online, it looked more red to me... but in reality the whole back side of this toy phone is pink, and several of the taggies are in pink/purple tones. I like the phone and think it's cute, and we love the taggies concept. And I don't want to get into the whole girl-toy boy-toy debate, but if you are someone who will mind your little boy playing with a pink phone then I thought you'd want to know this.

So my baby is only 8 months old but he had a hard time pushing the button on this phone to have it make noise. The button is kind of hard to find really, I think it was supposed to be underneath the 2 or maybe the 5 but it is inside the soft plush of the phone and moves aroung a bit. Otherwise the phone is cute, it isn't real fancy, I bought it for the taggies since my other kids have liked tags as babies. We will see if my baby now likes them as well.

VTech - Learn and Discover Driver

VTech - Learn and Discover DriverThis toy has limited interest for my son. I bought it for him when he was 18 mos (he is now 2). He occasionally plays with it for maybe 5 minutes at a time. If you put it on a smooth surface (table, hardwood floor) it slides around when he tried to turn the wheel or pushes/pulls the gearshift. Also it is very LOUD and I find the tone of voice kind of rude: On the horn: "out of the way", on the gas button "fill er up" but the tone of voice isn't nice it sounds like a rude little kid demanding that he be listened to....NOW. Except for the police button which says "slow down little fellow" the rest of them sound like spoiled brats! Not recommended.

At first glance it seemed to be the perfect gift for a baby with a thing for all things wheels and musical. AND normally I really trust the Vtech name so I didn't look at the item too closely prior to buying it. But it didn't take long for me to realize what a mistake I made. Yes, he likes it very much and uses it well, and it performs well etc. However, I will agree that there is NOTHING nice about how the voices speak or what they say and I would never think that I would have such a 'prudish' view on a baby toy! But it is rude, it is obnoxious and I don't like the message if you can say that there is one I mean they could have had much more endearing snippets. There is little education in it really and the songs are short the lyrics to the ABC song is half cut out?!?!? I could do without having education in a toy but that coupled with the bad attitude I have one thing to say "Outta' my house"

The older version of this toy is MUCH better with friendlier voices and helpful 'neighbors'. Vtech should go back to the old version.

Buy VTech - Learn and Discover Driver Now

I bought my son this driver when he was about 7 months old. At first he loved it. It makes all sorts of entertaining sounds for a baby. His favorites were the shifting sounds which he could easily activate (by moving the gear shift). He also loved the radio button especially when it played "Are you driving" (it is the brother john tune). While my son loved the noises this thing makes, I find that they can get very annoying, especially since the low volume is very loud.

After a few months, my son lost interest in this toy. He still plays with it occasionally, but it is no longer a favorite. At almost a year, he still never actually "drove" the toy. Perhaps once he learns to do this, he will regain interest in it. When the wheel is turned, the rollers spin. When they stop, the toy says one of three phrases about the pictures that show up. For example, "green square", "two bees" or "b is for bee" is said when the roller shows a picture with two bees and a green square. This could be educational once my son gets a little older.

One thing my son did learn to do pretty quickly was turn the toy on and off. The switch is sort of like a key in the ignition. It is very securely attatched though. I like that it is easy to turn so that my son can work it by himself. Most toys I have to start for him. Overall, I think I got my moneys worth. $15 dollars is a decent price for a few months of daily entertainment, even if my son never takes to it again.

I'm sad to see this toy getting such poor reviews. Yes, it does say "get out of the way" and "slow down little fella", but my DAUGHTER still loves it. The volume control on the bottom is loud and louder, and that's definitely a negative for me of course it doesn't bother my toddler. But all in all, this toy has been great. It's been well-loved and still works like new. My toddler loves to drive, and this toy has kept her interest for over a year. Just because it's not specifically designed for education doesn't mean there's nothing to be gained. We make it educational by naming the animals, shapes, numbers, letters and colors on the toy. We also sing the songs on the "radio" my child has gotten so good at it, that she can hit the button in rapid succession to get to the song she wants. Fun toy!

Edushape Conga Drum Set

Edushape Conga Drum SetI ordered this for my 18 month-old son LOVES this set. I've read reviews that mentioned the drumsticks are too small for toddler's hands, but they're not. I guided my son on how to use the sticks and once he got the hang of it, he had a blast. He also usees the other musical items as drumsticks... This drum is extremely durable given the fact that my toddler beats on it constantly.

The set is great fun and also provides parents with an opportunity for interaction. (My son always hands me one of the instruments so I can shake it while he beats the drum.)

DELUXE Belle of the Ball Beauty Princess Dress Up Costume

Little Adventures Deluxe Yellow Beauty XLI bought this for my daughter, who had a birthday ball for her 4th birthday party (a fancy title for a typical birthday party). Her favorite princess is Belle, and she loved it. It fits really well, is floor length on her so there is a little growing room. She is about 40 inches tall and 35 lbs. She can put in on by herself as the bodice is stretchy and there are no buttons or zippers. She has worn it a lot in the last month and it has held up despite being worn for hours in a moon bounce. From all of the other "Belle" dresses I researched, this one seemed to have the most value for the price. We have not been disappointed.

Did I get the same dress that is pictured on the website? The dress is pretty, but you should realize they make it look as good as possible in the picture. Actual dress is not as pale yellow. It is a bright yellow, not gold like Belle's actual dress, but yellow. The skirt is not full like it is in the picture. The whole thing can fit easily in an 8x10 mailing envelope. Don't get me wrong, the dress is pretty and my daughter will love it, but it does seem very cheap for the price. The price should be closer to $20 for what you get.

I purchased this "Belle" gown for my 3-year-old niece at Christmas. Worth every penny. She LOVED it. She immediately recognized it as "Belle's" gown. She slept in it. We had to bribe her to put on real clothes when we needed to leave the house. A little girl's dream....

A very much loved aspect of this dress up dress. I can throw it in the wash and hang it to dry afterwords and it's good to go again.

Only a 4 star rating as I'm still quite baffled at how my daughter was so easily able to fiddle with the roses on the belt line and they came off, re sewed them on for no problems, but she absolutely adores the dress.

No itches or complains even without an undershirt and going on several months since I've purchased it is still a favorite

Lamaze Puppytunes

Lamaze PuppytunesMy 3 1/2 month old daughter has an older version of this toy and is the fourth baby to own it. I originally bought it for my nephew 4 years ago, then his younger siblings had their way with it and it made its way back to me when I had a baby. It was the first toy my daughter really reached for and grabbed just before she turned 3 months old. Every morning I take it out and she smiles and gets so excited! It stayed in excellent shapevery minimal wear and tear, even though my sister-in-law tells me it was a favorite of her children, too.

This was actually bought for my toddler, but my infant LOVES it. It ALWAYS makes her smile. And the music he plays with his legs is something that makes my older kids giggle. Great toy! (And I like that batteries are unnecessary!)

I bought this for my 3 month old neice to play with when she comes to visit and she loves this toy. It keeps her occupied for quite a while. The bright colors and different sounds really stimulate her. And I can see her playing with this for some time...as she gets older she can puch the paws and make the sounds all by herself. I would definitey recommend this product.

cute idea, only four notes, so "tunes" are very limited. Children have a hard time getting the toy to play notes because to get sound to come out you have to squeeze pretty hard, quickly, which is impossible for a small child. Save your money and buy something else.

My daugher already has the Octopus version of this and LOVES it. It makes her bust up laughing. This is essentially the same thing in a doggie package, with the addition of a tether which is very nice to have. However.....the "honk" on half of the legs doesn't work. You have to practically jump on a few of them to make them squeek. I'm guessing the internal parts are not as well put together as the other. Otherwise, we love it just as much as the Octopus we already have. Or should I say that we love the legs that actually work. I will be attempting to exchange it.

Astrostar Astro Star Laser Projector Cosmos Light Lamp

Astrostar Astro Star Laser Projector Cosmos Light LampThis thing was a huge waste of money. Not just "some assembly" required. You must assemble the entire thing including the battery mechanism. To add insult to injury, mine was missing parts. The bulb is very weak. Barely lit the corner of my room. LOOKS NOTHING LIKE THE PICTURE. This item is a massive FAIL AND WASTE OF MY MONEY

We bought this product for my daughter. When it came in the mail it was in a flat box. No where in the ordering did it say, assembly required. I was thinking hmmm I wonder why. I open the box, it is in pieces down to the part where you put the batteries in and the directions are in Chinese. Complete frustration. I am shocked that Amazon would have a company that deceiving in their store.

Read Best Reviews of Astrostar Astro Star Laser Projector Cosmos Light Lamp Here

To all who wrote a bad review, before you throw your projector away, maybe you should watch this assembly video...

The actual product is from a site called Infmetry, and I saw a few other videos with the product and the box is clearly not from here, which would explain why the directions were in Chinese. However, if you buy it from here on Amazon it does not tell you assembly is required, where as the site Infmetry does and an assembly video is provided on the site as well. The actual product is not AstroStar, in fact, it is called a DIY Romantic Star Light Kit, so "DO IT YOURSELF" is written in the title. Go figure... Anyway, whether you buy it off of here, or the Infemtry site, I hope you check out the video and give this product a chance. Like the others who reviewed this so well, you just have to give a little elbow grease to enjoy.

Yomiko Yomiko Husky by Russ

Yomiko Yomiko Husky by RussI did not purchase this Husky for a toy. My mother is 96 years old and now a widow and very lonely at night. I remembered that she and dad had a Husky when they were first married, and something soft to the touch would be very healing to a woman.

She loves it! She set it on my dad's chair and I was told by her caregiver, in the beginning she just walked around the house carrying the Husky. She wouldn't be able to care for a real dog, so this furry little friend gave her the consolation without the burden.

With so many out there who are living much longer and on their own, I am surprised that there isn't more marketing geared towards them. This Husky isn't just a toy...it now has a name and has partially filled a void in a woman's heart.

I bought this plush for my girlfriend. Her favorite breed of dog is siberian husky so this was perfect. She loved it and i got major points for it. It was very realistic and really soft. Definitely worth the money.

Melissa & Doug Pretty Purse Fill and Spill

Melissa & Doug Pretty Purse Fill and SpillI have three kids under five and I have run the gamut for finding baby toys. You can't beat this toy for baby girls. My one year old loves it and my three year old wants to take it from her. It's durable, cute, they can slobber on it as much as they want and there's alot to play with. I highly reccomend it. Plus, it's not a cheap plastic toy with a disney princess on it, which is hard to find.

My 22-month-old daughter was really excited when first received this toy but had a hard time taking the items out of the purse the opening is too narrow. Even I am having a hard time taking the items out, also the wallet is too small to fit all 4 coins again problem pushing things in. Other than that the purse is very pretty and of a good quality.

Buy Melissa & Doug Pretty Purse Fill and Spill Now

As previous reviewers have indicated, you cannot dump the contents of this little purse. The opening, although somewhat small, is a fine size for small hands. I didn't feel that the fact you can't dump out the contents detracted from the fun at all. My 16 mos old loves this little purse. She is at the age where she enjoys emptying and refilling containers. Really cute toy, a little pricey, but a sweet gift for a toddler girl.

I got this for my daughter who was 16 months, and she plays with it once in a while, but I would recommend it for a younger child--maybe 9-12 months? It is really cute, and seems durable, like most Melissa & Doug products, but it doesn't hold her interest for long. The sounds and textures would have appealed to her more earlier

The opening is too narrow to fill or spill. My daughter received this as a gift for her 1st birthday, she is 17 months old now. She has tried playing with it a few times, but gets bored quickly, it can't be used as intended. Mommy has a hard time using it too. The only part of this she likes is the phone, she likes to walk around pretending to talk on it. But she'll do that with just about anything, so it's not a great selling point.

Manhattan Toy Dress Up

Manhattan Toy Dress Up PirateFirst, I'm going to copy the "features" list found on the tag that comes attached to the toy. It reads: "try my snap, button, fabric fastener and buckle! I have a fabric pirate sword in my pocket I have a parrot friend! zip and tie my shoes to help you learn!" They didn't come right out and LIE about it, but the following list of PROS and CONS will help clarify what you REALLY get.

PROS:

~ Adorable from top-to-toe! He has a really cute face, an attractive & colorful outfit, & the eye-patch & the parrot are nice touches, too.

~ Well-made, mostly (Please read the list of "CONS" for further info).

~ The selection of fabrics look AND feel great.

~ The snap & button work well, & the pocket with the button is a real, usable pocket.

Adorable? Yes...no doubt about it.

Interesting to my child? Nope...chalk up one FAIL for the parents, but there are other, more tangible issues to be aware of.

CONS:

~ About the "mostly" part regarding how well made the toy is, here's the deal...THE BUCKLE. It only LOOKS like a buckle; it performs in no way like one would expect a buckle should. It's an over-the-shoulder strap with a faux, plastic, non-buckling buckle, with a tiny square of Velcro (or "fabric fastener" as they must have to call it) located on the underside of the strap. Educational? Barely. It's been used maybe three times, and the stitching along all but one side of the Velcro square is gone. It's now a flap of Velcro rather than a patch. Having said that, the rest of it is so well made, I have to believe this might be a fluke.

~ It's way more petite than I thought it would be. There's not much to work with, really.

~ The zipper shoe is only 1 1/2" long.

~ The laces -that can't be used to laceare only 4" long, thick, & awkward with which to work.

~ I don't get the purpose for the dagger other than decoration. It's attached to the inside bottom of the pocket with a thick piece of elastic so when you try to pull the dagger out, the pocket gets all scrunched-up.

We'll keep it because we have a "thing" for pirates, and it's a really cute doll that looks good on the shelf.

I bought this for Chirstmas for my then almost 3 yr old and he liked it. After nearly a year his "friend" has gone many places with us but my son has shown little interest in dressing or undressing the pirate to he really seems to be just a friend. He might be too young for that just yet as he doesn't button his own clothes but he does know how to dress himself for the most part. I can't say the doll helped teach him anything though but again, he is happy to have a pirate friend to adventure with.

Buy Manhattan Toy Dress Up Now

We have a similar toy in the shape of a colorful hound dog--both made by Manhattan baby. In contrasting the two toys, the hound is much better made and presents easier to manipulate "skill stations."

As an example, the pirate's boot zipper is difficult for an adult to use, the shoe lacing on the other boot requires a very careful tying due to the provided length; ours, also, came with a flaw in the cording.

The pirate's sword resembles an ice cream cone and reinserting it in the sheath is going to require the help of an older sibling. A soft pirate's map would be my suggestion. The hound's pockets are generous and stitched/ constructed with a more substantial fabric. If your young toddler is able to successfully button the Pirate's pocket, start their college engineer fund immediately and forgo preschool. The hound has a button twice the size and an opening with forgiveness for beginners.

The pirate's gloves are not removable and unlike the hound, he is sans pants. He has an adorable belly-button.

I also wish his hat (the closure could velcro) was replaceable to enable a young child to practice dressing from the top down. He could sport hair the child could comb. The pirate has a elegant parrot with an interior rattle--but most 18+ months are so beyond rattles.

Mr. Pirate is a cute doll, overpriced for the educational component, and could be improved to incorporate many features found in their hound version.

My son was 19 months old when we bought this toy. It is by far the cutest one we found for boys. It really was adorable which appealed to me. He loved the toy, loves to un-snap and un-zip it. I also likes to take the sword out, and since it's on a short piece of elastic it just pops back in the pocket. He totes his "Captian Jack" all over. I would recommend this dress up toy!

Intex My Baby Float

Intex Baby FloatThis float was a vacation godsend! I had spent all kinds of money on fancy contraptions to introduce my 5 month old to the water on a recent vacation, but all the babies in the pool when we got there had "my baby float." Baby was a bit nervous her first time in the pool without a float, and I worried she wouldn't take to the water, but we put her in "my baby float" and she was so happy.... it seemed to make the pool feel less big and overwhelming for her. There is no doubt that any baby using this product should be watched at ALL times, but the criss-cross seat does a good job of supporting her in the water and still letting her legs be free. The other reviewer mentions that the inner-tube sits lower than the outer tube it is designed to be that way, and wasn't a problem at all. I am not sure what the issue for that reviewer was, unless she was using it wrong. I highly recommend this as a cheap, fun thing to bring along on any pool trip. I appreciated that a small baby didn't get lost in it. And best part, when deflated it is flat and folds up really small. Best $5 I ever spent -totally changed our vacation.

I bought this for our daughter who is not 15 months. This is a faulty product. i had it for about a month, we used it a few times a week. We went swimming on July 4 and as always I had my hand on her float. As we were floating around she started to sink right down the middle of her float. I grabbed her before she went onduer water nd we looked at the float. The seam where the leg hole (holder seat) attaches to the iner ring was totally detached, not torn just came right off as if the seal just came off. I fould on July 5 that there has been a national recal for this same problem on other brands of flats very much like this one. however this one is not on the recall list. I called Intex and asked what I should do about it and they said to just buy a new one. I said no I don't want anyone else to get hurt because your product has a fault, and the man I talked to said he gets 148 calls a day and only one call a week has to do with this float having a defect so it is not a problem. I was not impressed, I guess Intex is ok with little ones having accidents in their products. I am so greatful that I always keep a grip on my little one because if I had not benn holding her she would have gone underwater fast! I think one case of a float having a defect is one case to many. Please be careful with this product and be aware that there is a defect in it that allows a child to go underwater when the seam comes off. Intex dows not care about our children but I do. Please be careful!

Buy Intex My Baby Float Now

It says this product is for up to 2 years old but the weight limit is 25 lbs. My daughter is 10 months and already 22.5 lbs. Granted, she is on the taller side but not *that* big. So we will not get as much use out of it as hoped. Just something to be aware of.

Also, this product is made of simple vinyl. Hence, leaking phthalates. It would be great if Intex could come up with some product made of (P)EVA so that our kids don't have to absorb chemicals.

We took our 4 month old son on his first vacation to a waterpark. He was about 16lbs at the time when we went. I know the float says it's for 1-2 years old or up to 25lbs I believe, but we used it anyways. He is able to sit up on his own, so we thought it would be okay. He absolutely LOVED it! We had a blast because of this thing. It allowed us to keep our hands free, let him kick around under our supervision. We were able to pull him around in the water, it really made our vacation a good time. Other reviews state that the little tabs that you blow the air into pop open, we didn't have a problem. If you secure them they way they are supposed to be, they will not pop open. I would recommend this inexpensive item to anyone going on vacation with a little one!

Want Intex My Baby Float Discount?

I purchased this as a second float for my toddlers since they each wanted to float in the higher quality one that we have. I figured I'd get a cheap second and that was a mistake. After only using it a couple times the flap between the legs that keeps baby from falling into the water snapped. Thankfully we keep the kids right next to us even while in floaties, because otherwise my child would have gone plummenting under water. Spend a little extra and get something that will last all summer and that you can relax and know your child is safe.

Russian Wooden Alphabet Blocks

Russian Wooden Alphabet BlocksThe photograph does not do these blocks justice!!! I was hesitant to order them due to the high cost, but was delighted when I received these absolutely beautiful wooden blocks in the mail. The blocks are larger than what you typically see in the USA, around 2" square. They're well sanded hardwood with gently rounded edges (just enough so the little ones won't get splinters, but not so much that they do not fit tightly together when stacked). One side has carved letters so the child can feel how the letter is made, while another side has crisply printed letters or numbers. The little animal pictures on one side are sharply etched and the animal names are clear and easy to read (unlike most blocks that have fuzzy printing on them). I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for high-quality blocks to introduce the alphabet or stacking to their little ones.

The Russian Wooden Alphabet Blocks were the perfect gift for my Russian friend's one year old daughter! She loves them, and they are the right size for her hands. They are very sturdy and brightly colored. The only thing I would like to have had with them would be some type of carrying case or bag.

We own three sets of these--English, Russian, and Arabic.

I love the Russian blocks. My only issue is that although all of the letters are included, you cannot spell out the entire alphabet of 33 letters with the hard sign because there are only 32 blocks. This is possible because each block has a letter on four sides, so there is ample room for each character to appear two or more times. But since you can only display one side when lining them up, you can't line up the alphabet.

I suppose this is because raising the number of blocks would put the cost prohibitively high. However, I would have bought them anyway.

I bought the Arabic set last week and it is of just as good quality as the Russian blocks I bought four years ago.

Juno Baby - Juno's Rhythm Adventure

Juno Baby - Juno's Rhythm AdventureI knew this DVD was a hit as soon as I put it in and saw my 10-month old daughter sitting very still, watching the TV with a big smile on her face. She watched the video from beginning to end, and now every time I play it she recognizes the catchy music.

I like Juno Baby the best because it of its simplicity and clarity. Juno and friends are little puppets, and it seems homemade in feel while having a high production value, and is layered with some very nice classical music that is soothing yet still light and fun. Its a really exceptional character to mix up when you get a little too much Sid, Curious George, and all the rest.

I ordered this for my 16 month old niece. She absolutely loves it. The music is lively and entertaining, and she is very animated listening to it. This is a great way to instill a love of music in children at an early age.

"Juno Baby -Juno's Rhythm Adventure" is a wonderful DVD for toddlers, one that will engage them with charming puppetry vignettes, while also introducing them in a very basic way to music, counting and various languages, such as French, Spanish and (of course) English... but that's from an adult perspective. From a toddler's perspective, my 4 youngest nieces and nephews (ranging from ages one to three) have been playing this DVD ad nauseam since I gave it to them weeks ago... and that speaks louder than any review I can come up with. Highly recommended.

My 3yo is our 3rd child, so we've seen everything from Baby Einsten and Baby So Smart to Blues Clues, Caillou, Max and Ruby, Dora, Barney, the Wiggles, and so on. I've watched more than my fair share of annoying voices (Ruby & Caillou). I really found the voices of the characters as bad or worse. I felt that other than Juno, they just didn't have much personality that would draw children to like them. My 3yo seems to agree. He loves to sing and dance, but really had no interest in this one.

As for the music, I give it credit for being original, and I appreciate original characters, animation, etc. Baby Einstein relied too much on simple videos of toys and things, but at least the music was better. I just didn't find the music composition all that great to listen to. Certainly not on par with classical composers, in my opinion.

The puppetry and animation, as well as story line, just wasn't on-par with a Blues-Clues or Dora. There wasn't a whole lot of repetition for kids to latch on to, the character shots were usually too wide for small children to be able to focus in on who's speaking, and overall the characters get lost in the busy backgrounds. Sometimes simpler is better especially for younger children.

This left me feeling like it was a mashup of elements of all these popular shows, but that they just couldn't pull it off effectively. All in all, it's probably no more annoying or worse than any other kid's show us adults usually have to build up a tolerance to be able to shut them out even when our kids love them. So while many kids might find this series enjoyable, mine just didn't.

Lastly, the case isn't a typcial DVD shell. It's more like a cardboard book. The ring that the dvd snaps onto is a solid piece of plastic. With no cutouts, you can't push on the center to pop out the dvd. Instead you have to bend the disc until it pops off. Over time, I could see either the disc suffering damage, or the plastic nub of the case will get worn down and no longer hold the disc.

Pocoyo Musical Plush Characters -Squeeze n Play Pato

Pocoyo Musical Plush Characters -Squeeze n Play PatoThis toy is cute, and the kids like it, but it looks like one of those toys you win at the carnival. The pictures on the website make it look like a nice plush toy. Even the picture on the box that the toy came in looks like a nice soft plush toy. Not the same toy in the box. The toy is probably worth less than $10. Bottom line, if the kids are big fans of the show they'll like it, but it's low quality for the $.

update: we have had this toy for more than a year now and it has held up well. I still say the fabric does not look like the picture, but I can't complain about the durability.

Pato has fun music with drums that last longer than other characters (Pocoyo and Ellie). My daughter of two years likes the serie and really loves this toy, I also enjoy listening the drums and I'm satisfied with the purchase, highly recommended.

Have 20 mo old grandson who loves Pocoyo and friends. I found a reg 9 inch Pocoyo, a Musical Ellie, but this one was so hard to find. I was so happy to find on Amazon. He is sooo happy with this Pato. He knew the character immediately. Looks exactly like TV version. Squeeze his drum and same drum sounds as tv character. He is very cute and drums are not really annoying. Child loves this character.

My two year old grand daughter loves this duck. He's cute and plays the same sound you hear on T.V. show Pocoyo. The only negative thing about this toy is replacing the batteries, which were very expensive. Cost more than the toy!

LeapFrog Lettersaurus (Age: 12 months - 3 years)

LeapFrog LettersaurusMy son recently received the Lettersaurus as a Christmas gift. I loved its compact size, perfect volume and all the wonderful educational aspects of the toy. However, I was absolutely appalled upon touching the letter "X" to hear the word "Exit" used as the example. At no point in time in the English language has the word "exit" started with the letter "x". Even if the aims of leap frog were to find an easy word that started with "x", as xylophone is probably not going to be on anyone's first word list, I think "X-Ray" would have been a pretty obvious and extremely accurate choice. Aside from this, it is a cute and fun toy.

Brio Multicoloured Bell Rattle

Brio Multicoloured Bell RattleMy brother and I had this toy when we were babies thirty years ago. We had so much fun with it that my mother saved it, and my son has been happily playing with it since he was about 3 months old. When he was younger he used it more as a traditional rattle; it was very easy for his little hands to grab. At 10 months he loves to shake it in time while we sing "Jingle Bells", roll it along the floor to chase, chew on it, and fit it into his stacking cups. There are so many ways to play with this toy!

Our version is unpainted wood, but made by the same company; aside from a bit of aging on the silver of the bell, it is as good as new. A great classic toy!

Fisher-Price Discover 'n Grow Jumperoo

Fisher-Price Discover 'n Grow JumperooWe are so happy we bought this Discover 'n Grow jumperoo, even though there weren't many reviews available then. We took our 4-month old son to the store and had him try a few, and this one was the obvious winner. We liked it the best for the following reasons:

1 The seat is deeper and does a much better job of supporting him. He has had amazing head control since birth, but in some of the other jumperoos with shallower seats, his body flopped around in them more and I didn't feel like I'd be able to walk more than 2 feet away in case he would fall over and hit his head. We saw support pillows being sold in the stores to address that problem, but why buy something else if you don't have to? The seat on this FP jumperoo is perfect for support and seems to be very comfortable for him--he'll spend up to an hour in it just playing and bouncing away.

2 This jumperoo is much more responsive to movement and is a lot "bouncier" than some of the others we saw. In fact, the jumperoos at our son's day care aren't nearly as springy, and he's very blah about them at day care. But when he's home and gets in this one, he immediately lights up and is all smiles. The bounciness would be something to consider, though, if your baby doesn't have great head and body control yet--I could see how it might be too much for some babies, especially if they aren't all about being on the move all the time. For ours, though, this one is perfect.

3 The toys and bright colors immediately caught his attention at the store and at home they continue to keep him interested. He loves gazing at the light-up keyboard, playing with the monkey and penguin, grabbing the rings, trying to grab the bee and bird, etc. The toys are in a couple of little groupings that almost create little "stations", so when he gets tired of one station, we just turn his seat to the next one and he's happily entertained for another 15-30 minutes. The sounds and music are also great--they respond to his movement, so the more he bounces, the more he hears the music, which in turn makes him excited and he bounces even more!

4 There are 3 levels of height adjustment, so it should last him a long time. We have it on the lowest setting and he's about 26.5 inches tall right now; we have a pillow underneath him because the tips of his toes barely brush the floor, but he won't need the pillow for much longer.

Especially after seeing his reaction to the day care jumperoos, we couldn't be happier with our purchase of this one. If your baby responds well to lots of movement, then you won't go wrong with this one.

I got this for my 6month old...she loves jumping in it and spends more time in it than her playmat or swing. Her favorite first thing was the spinning sphere. The only thing I didn't like was that the sphere is far away on the opposite side of the other 3 features but hopefully she will learn to turn in her seat soon.

She is 16.5 pounds so i adjusted the springs to level 2...the instructions said their feet should not be flat to the ground in this jumper and on level 2 at 16.5lbs, she has perfect jumps using the balls of her feet. I think this is to avoid their knees dislocating if they land wrong, so make sure your baby's feet are not flat to the ground while they're not jumping.

The other thing i loved is that it's easy to take apart to move from one room to another. She loves this. It's worth the $95 spent and i've compared it to many other jumpers on amazon and compared reviews. This one is great.

The Discover n Grow jumperoo is great for my baby. However we also purchased the rainforest jumperoo and like that one better. The seat moves around easier in the rainforest jumperoo.

This jumperoo is amazing! After 4 months of research on each one I decided to get the rainforest jumperoo but when I went to order it I found this brand-new jumperoo just listed and with no reviews on any web site we decided to be spontaneous and order it for our 4 month old daughter. This is a neutral item even with the butterflies that hold the toys to reach out too since they are more boyish colors. It is bright colored and makes lots of fun music! Unlike most toys I didn't need to keep introducing it! She loved it the second she was in it. She grabbed the toys right away. It took twenty minutes for me and my wife to put it together. Even though we put a pillow under her to make up the height difference its perfect and give us a huge brake!

Purchased this for my daughter at 4.5 months of age. Now at 6 months this is her favorite activity of the day. It was very simple to put together. The base is a nice neutral color that matches well with the rest of our house. I love this model much better than the others available for a number of reasons. The springs are covered with a black and white fabric which is perfect because babies can see high contrast better than any other color. The dangling bird and bee are not so much hanging overhead (as the rainforest model does) and I dont worry about her hitting her head while bouncing. When compared to the Laugh and Learn model, the L&L appears to have a large red arch in the back, and IMO would become difficult when lifting the child out of the seat.

A friend of mine had the Baby Einstain bouncer for her son, and I did not like it at all. The seat was really wide, and my daughter appeared to recline in the seat rather than be supported and use her toes to bounce. She could not reach ANY of the toys. Even though its advertised that you can "hang your own toys" from the bars, the child would not be able to reach them. The springs are VERY short, and provided little to no bounce AT ALL.

I am so happy with this purchase, and my daughter loves it. She will usually jump and play for 30-45 minutes twice a day in it. It provides quick and easy entertainment as well as exercise. The seat is easily removed for machine washing, and the unit is portable, so you can keep your child close by instead of using a doorway jumper. Doorway jumpers have the ability to provide a swinging action, and frankly they scared me. The child could possibly hit their head or smash their fingers in the doorframe. So the cost of this jumper is well worth the peace of mind it provides.

So if you are looking for a great jumper, this is it.
