If you have a little girl who wants to be just like Mommy or any other adult, this toy is perfect. It allows them to have their own pretend jewelry box with makeup that isn't real. I won't allow my daughter to wear makeup no matter what so this is great for me.

With this toy, you get a comb, a pretend lipstick tube, and pretend perfume. The accessories are different shapes. You put them in their own areas and the toy will tell you things like what color or shape they are. It also sings cute songs to your child about how pretty and special they are. My daughter loves hearing this over and over.

This toy will teach colors, shapes, and more. It also gives an opportunity for pretend play with the accessories. My only complaint is that it only teaches 3 colors and 3 shapes, but this is fine for a young child.

I got this for my daughter's 1st birthday. She's not very talkative, but she loves music and likes to dance. This little toy sings several short songs and has really cute sound effects and stuff. Today she carried the jewelry box over to me, very determinedly, plopped it on my lap and when I opened it up, she grabbed the star shape out. The voice says something about the perfume bottle being shaped like a star, and my 1 year old holds it up to me and says, "Stah," like, "Hey mom, this is a star. Just wanted you to know." Then she put it back, danced around with the music with me for like 10 minutes, and kept opening and closing it to make it say "Bye bye," to which she would reply in kind.

I got this for $10 at AAFES BX/PX, and would strongly recommend it to everyone. Heck, even my 3 year old song loves playing with it, and he's about as stereotypically "boy" as you can get.

My daughter got this for her 1st birthday. It is noisy and honestly I wish the people who gave this gift went out and bought just a regular little girl's jewelry box. I don't think toys like this have much educational value. Just a simple toy where you match the shaps and they pop inside is enough to serve the purpose. My daughter already has a lot of these toys.

I will start by saying that I don't really love toys that are super interactive and have only one purpose, so this might not apply to everyone. I found the singer's voice to be terrible and I had to put it away until we could return it to the store (it was a gift). I used the money to buy my daughter art supplies instead. My daughter does not sit and play with this stuff and even at 15 months she seems too old for this (again, we have a different idea of "toy" around here). It's flashy, interactive, and there are shape pieces to fit in, all while starting your little girl out with the idea that she will someday need makeup. If that is what you look for in a toy, then this is for you!

Fisher-Price World of Jungle Junction Roadway Playset

Our son gave the Fisher Price World of Jungle Junction Roadway Playset to our 2-year old grandson while they were visiting our home for Christmas. We were all disappointed in the product firstly because the elevator was nearly impossible to move up and down, and secondly because the cars kept flying off the ramps. But even worse, once assembled, the playset is impossible to disassemble in order to put it back in it's box. As a result, our son was forced to leave the set at our house since there was not enough room in their car to take it back to their home assembled. We would all strongly recommend against purchasing this toy.

As all Fisher-Price toys this one is fun with bright colors and age appropriate. Our grandson loves it. Very fun.

Gund Hoagie Brown 13" Bear Plush

This bear is super cute, much cuter than in the picture. The snout/muzzle goes out farther (like most Gund bears) and it has a big pop-belly. It has beads in the bottom so it's sort of weighted and can sit up on it's own. It is not overly stuffed so it's very huggable. The 'fur' is very plush and soft. He's a great size too. This has become my toddler's favorite lovie by far and is a constant companion. Naps, outings, errands, he has even flown! Very cute and lovable like all Gund products.

Very cute!!!! He is exactly as described, for sure we will be getting more bears from Gund collection.

It was the first Gund bear I have ever purchased as a gift. It is hard to imagine how big it is judging by the size specified in inches, and majority of reviewers agree that they thought the bear would be a little bit bigger. Our 3 month old daughter loves looking at this the bright colors esp. Whenever she gets agitated, we show her this book, and she quitens down immediately! She in fact reaches out and flips the pages, though I'm pretty sure she isn't aware of what she is actually doing. All in all, a great buy. P.S. the book doesnt have audio sounds, just pictures of animals and the sound they make.

This is a cute book, but I was expecting real sounds with it. It has the picture of the animal and written sound that it makes, but doesn't have a press button to hear the sound.

This book is super cute! Each page has a different number of baby animals (up to 10). It is also interactive as there are flaps to lift up on each page. My 9 month old enjoys this book, although she tries to pull the flaps off instead of up. She hasn't succeeded yet, but I can see the flap seams are weakening. The pages themselves are very thick, like twice as thick as normal board books. However, the edges of the cover are already scuffed after only a couple days of use, so I imagine this book won't stay looking new for long. I would recommend taking a look at the gift set. Our baby loves this book. True, it's not very long, and it doesn't "make" sounds. Each page has a picture of an animal, the spelled word of the animal, and the spelled sound the animal makes. It doesn't make the sounds for you, that's your job. "See the CAT? The cat says, "MEOW." I started reading this book to my baby at 4 months old. At five months our baby was actively touching the animals and turns the pages. The pages are super thick (thicker than typical board books) and can't be easily damaged. I will be ordering another one of these.

LeapFrog Tag Junior Toddler Milestones Book Set

I wasn't sure that these books would go over well since Leap isn't a super popular character (not on Nick Jr or Disney Jr that I know of), but since they cover some good topics for toddlers we got them anyway. Our son likes them, and they were discussion starters/teaching tools especially the one about emotions.

I sent these books and the tag reader to my boyfriends grandparents as a gift for his nephew. They were so amazed with the technology. Furthermore, they were amazed by their 1.5 year old grandchild's ability to interact with the books. He was so engaged and excited by the littlest things the book did. I purchased the preschool tag reader a few years ago for a birthday and that child still loves it!

Brio Multicoloured Bell Rattle

My brother and I had this toy when we were babies thirty years ago. We had so much fun with it that my mother saved it, and my son has been happily playing with it since he was about 3 months old. When he was younger he used it more as a traditional rattle; it was very easy for his little hands to grab. At 10 months he loves to shake it in time while we sing "Jingle Bells", roll it along the floor to chase, chew on it, and fit it into his stacking cups. There are so many ways to play with this toy!

Our version is unpainted wood, but made by the same company; aside from a bit of aging on the silver of the bell, it is as good as new. A great classic toy!

Little Mommy Bedtime Baby

I have the Little Mommy doll and a lot of accessories and my two-year old daughter loves them. It has been durable and sturdy, but most of all fun. I can't believe more accessories or related products are not available.

I am confused by some of the poor reviews. Some seem wrong our doll's high chair does not have a cardboard tray (it is hard plastic like the rest of the chair). Others seem picky...complaining about a high forehead? This doll is not meant to be realistic, change the world, or project a certain kind of attitude (like Bratz). It's a doll meant for really small children. That's it. And by that criterion, this doll is a total success.

If you want a 100% realistic doll or one that is more about attitude than fun, then don't buy this doll. It is not for you. But don't criticize it when it doesn't meet your expectations. Complaining about this product is like complaining about a refrigerator for not heating your food or complaining about a record player that doesn't play CDs.

This doll is very sweet and my daughter (18 months) likes her a lot. In fact she has taken her to pre-school a couple times and the doll got very dirty.

Then we found out that because of the battery and electronics you can only surface wash the doll -and since she is made of cloth that is pretty hard to do.

Also, to make the doll make noise, you have to find the button with two fingers (one underneath the dolls toy) and squeeze it. My daughter can find the button, but to make it play she has to ask for help. After all that music only plays for a moment.

I'm thinking about taking the electronics out so that I can at least give her a good handwashing.

This doll is cute, and the little lamb does light up and play a lullabye as advertised. Our doll looks just like the one in the picture. Our one disappointment was that the clothes are not removable. My daughter likes to dress her dolls in different outfits and was very surprised to discover the clothes are sewn right onto the doll. I think this makes the doll a great purchase for toddlers and young preschoolers, but not as appealing for older girls.

This doll was my 10 month olds first doll. It was bought instead of the glow worm, and I am glad for that decision. My daughters face lights up at the sound of a real baby before the music begins. With in an hour of having the doll she taught herself how to press the button for the music. This doll is simply great! The only problem I have is that she doesn't want to share it and cries when you try!

I purchased this teddy bear for my daughter as a back up. When she was born my husband bought her this bear at the hospital. It's been loved on and washed so much that I had to get another for her just in case.

She loves her teddy and takes him eveywhere we go. Not to mention that she sleeps with him also. It's very soft and very sweet.

My daughter received this teddy bear from a friend of ours when she was born, still in the hospital. It's her favorite to this day (she's almost 15 months). I just bought a second for her daycare. I bought these for a frog-themed baby shower I was hosting. These were great, absolutely adorable, and the paper goods were sturdy and held up to the food. The plates are pretty sizeable and hold plenty of food I felt like they were bigger than normal dinner and dessert sized plates. I love that the frogs themselves are genderand party-theme neutral so they work equally well at a baby shower or birthday party, etc.

Wooden Pull Along Learning Blocks Wagon

I would like to start off saying that that is not one of the toys I feel comfortable leaving my one year old to play alone with and I don't recommend leaving these blocks laying around when not played with as the edges are sharp and it even seems like it's possible to get a splinter on the edges. However, comparing to all the other blocks I've seen on the market these are my favorite: affordable, comes with a container that doubles as a pull toy, has letters, numbers and pictures. If you are looking something that is 100% safe, try the cute rubbery B. blocks (the down side is you only get 10 of them in a pack and the pictures and numbers are the same color as the block itself, so, obviously, not the best for educational purposes).

If the company was to round edges a bit or better yet put some rubber on there, these blocks would be golden =)

Even though most of the letters are missing. My one year old and two year old love this toy!!! The wagon they tried to use for a skateboard, so we took that away. But the letters are great! They are bringing them to us telling us the colors and what letter.

Our box contained just two of the six screws it was supposed to, and two right-side handle pieces instead of a right and a left. The overall quality was poor (chipping paint, rough edges, etc.) and I felt I had to sand it before turning it over to a one year old.

My 10 month old got this as a xmas gift. He loves them! He's already been dragging them all over the house, loves playing with the wagon. The blocks are a good size, not huge but not a choking hazard either. They are also NOT sharp. Blocks have letter, a drawing of an object that name starts with said letter, the name of object written out, capital letter, lower case letter and a number on two sides. Example: A, a, pic of apple, spelling of apple, and 0 on two sides. Blocks are about 2in X 2in. Don't know how long the paint will last as I have a little destructor :) All in all, a good gift for the baby!

Cuski Cuskiboo Lovie

Used this since my child was 3 months old and started to teethe and sleep in his own room. I slept with it for a couple days so it smelled like me-I believe this is very important for the child to attach to the Cuski. I and my husband both believed it helped tremendously with "separation anxiety" helping him to sleep through the night AND with his teething. He has never used a pacifier or his fingers for comfort. We only used the Cuski which stayed in his bed and the Sophie Giraffe which we took with us in the car and stroller. We have three now to rotate, b/c they do get dirty and my child has "chewed through" a couple as he was teething. He just finished cutting his two year molars and I hadn't even noticed it until we took him to his two year checkup and the doctor said his molars were just breaking through the skin. . . i cannot recommend this highly enough.

My son loves this! The knot at the end of the hat is perfect for him to chew on while he's teething, and it's so soft! We have 3 of them to rotate through the wash so he's always got a clean one with him.

I bought this as a transitional object when I started sleep training my 5 month old. She would hold it and play with it, but then one day I heard her gagging over the monitor. When I went in there, the 'top knot' of the cuski was down her throat. That particular part of the product is too long and skinny, and as babies tend to put everything in their mouths, it could potentially be a choking hazard. I fixed it by tying several more knots in the length, and I haven't had any problems since (5 months)

I bought this for my 8 week old hoping to replace her human pacifier for this cute little "ghostie" as we like to call it. But, she is not even remotely interested in it. Also, it has an odd smell to it that we can't seem to get rid of. It's almost a petroleum smell of some sort so I am not sure how it can absorb my odor when it is so smelly with this weird odor.

Lil Characters Infant Puppy Costume, Tan/Black/White

I ordered this costume in size 6-12 months for my 14 month old son he is on the small side and it fits perfectly with room to wear clothes underneath. It could potentially be slightly too short if he grows much before Halloween, but nothing drastic. The ears are very floppy and he pulled at them a lot when he tried it on, but once I got him distracted, he didn't fuss with them much, but the ears might be a little much for a really young baby because they do flop around. The tongue also seems to be right in the line of vision so I might have to pin the hat part so it rests a little back on his head. I love that the head piece and feet are separate from the body. He will be able so skip wearing the feet when he needs to wear shoes. The costume is actually even cuter than the picture shows. We are so happy with it and can't wait for upcoming Halloween events for him to wear it. I will buy this brand again, its well worth it, its warm, soft, and made very well, it isn't junky like some costumes.

Lil Characters are my favorite costumes for my son (2 years old). The costume fit him perfectly. Only problem we had was the ears flopping in his face when he would run from house to house. The feet are very durable and overall the costume keeps him warm.
