We have this toy at the daycare I work at and I love it so much I bought two, one for my great niece and one for my granddaughter.

We sent this to our son while he was in an orphanage with photos of our family. It was larger than I had expected, but it's a great toy he still loves.

Infantino Barn Shape Sorter

We got this as a gift and it was a hit with my son (6 months old then) right away! He loves to take out the animals and chew on them and he's been able to figure out how to open the barn door to get at the letters inside (8 months old now)! My only complaint is that the barn door doesn't open when the animals are in place. As far as cleaning, we just put the whole thing in the dishwasher when it starts to look dirty, so easy!!

My daughter got this when she was 6 months old, so she was a little young to truly appreciate it for what you're supposed to actually do with it. That being said, she really did enjoy crawling over to it, pulling out the animals and either crawling away with them or sucking on them, and they are large enough that I didn't have to worry about her choking or getting them stuck in throat. Now that she's older, she really enjoys the clock, chickens and spinning thing on the sides. She's not so crazy about the letters-they are difficult to get into the holes unless you line them up just right AND push them in-she doesn't really have the patience for that. She does still enjoy the animals, although most of the time she pulls them off, opens the barn door and plays farm. As a sorting toy, it's lacking, but if you have a child who is creative, like most kids, they will surprise you and end up using it for something other than what it was intended-in this case, playing farm, not learning shapes. Either way, the bright colors are fun and it provides some good entertainment. I LOVE it because it makes NO NOISE!!! So that gives me a break from all the songs, voices, and funny instructions that many of her other toys have.

This is a great shape sorter. I didn't have the previous one, but my daughter did have three other ones and I liked this one the best. You can play with the animals as well as sort the shapes they are standing in and the letters are also for sorting as well as practicing your abcs. It doesn't come with any talking or music-which I happen to really like. It has a little clock on the side and is great for imaginative play. We brought this toy with us on a 15 day vacation and my 18 month old daughter found many ways to play with it besides shape sorting. It is true that if the animals are in place, you can't open the barn door, but that just made her work on taking them out and putting them back in again. We really enjoy this toy.

This is a very simple toy, doesn't make noise, basic shape sorter. And we like it! My son is under 12 months, but he enjoys handling the animals, opening the barn door, and I go over the letters and animal names with him. It's easy to clean, which I like. I'd say this is good from over 6 months to whenever they get bored with it. It's a colorful toy at a reasonable price! (if you get it on sale, like I did!)

My daughter LOVED this toy. It kept her busy many an evening while I made supper. She loves the animals and the letters. She very much abused this and it held up perfectly. I would find the little figures all over the house, cutely arranged in little vignettes. I think the letters were definitely hard at first, but isn't that the point? If you buy a toy and your kid can immediately figure it out, then you've wasted your money. It made a great first birthday present and was very fun to "show" her how to play with it. She spent many careful hours rotating, examining, and trying to fit each piece (in fact, she wasn't satisfied until each animal faced OUT). This toy taught her to persevere and be patient. I definitely recommend this toy to anyone with a young toddler! I wouldn't bother for any kid under a year though. They'll just drool on it or throw the pieces around.

First Friends Tiger

This toy is just adorable and appears to be well made and durable. Best of all, the moving parts--the head, tail and legs--make a ratcheting sound that little ones love! I gave my one year and two year old grandchildren the First Friends Tiger and Monkey for a birthday party today, and they really are having a good time with them. These animal friends are small enough to go everywhere with the kids, and very appealing to them.

Overall its very cute. The hat is floppy and cheaply made. I washed it and the skirt ripped all the way to the top. But it is pretty much what you expect from a costume. Size runs a little on the large side.

The outfit is cute when it arrives but the dress falls apart almost instantly. My four year old daughter has worn it twice and the dress is falling to pieces. Just with normal wear the dress has ripped. The pants have held up well but the main component the dress is disintegrating. Very disappointed.

Tonka Wheel Pals Triple Track Tower

My 2 year old hasn't stopped playing with this toy since we took it out of the box. He absolutely loves putting the cars on the starting blocks and pushing the button to watch them go down the hills.

The cars seem very durable. They are a softer plastic (but not too squishy) and have nice big wheels. They're a perfect size for 2 year old hands to hold onto and push around.

You can turn the sound off, which is a nice feature a lot of toys seem to forget to add these days. The tracks also seem durable. They are "connected" at the top and the bottom of the ramps so we have not had any ramps coming loose and frustrating my son.

Overall, a very simple toy but it has bright cheery colors and it's very toddler friendly. Even my 4 and 8 year olds are trying to take it over to play it and have races. I think it's a sure hit for any child and it has a very attractive price.

Cute concept just a little boring. My son is 22 months old and plays with it for about 2 minutes and then is done. The race is over almost as quickly as pushing the button.

ON A AGGRAVATING NOTE: This is the Wheel Pals race track and NOT ONE of the WHEEL PALS work on it. Hasbro/Tonka has made the race cars smaller than the little wheel pals so when your child tries to race the other Wheel pals he or she has on this track they won't work. What a racquet!!

My son really enjoys this toy. I've also found the Hot Wheels/Matchbox style cars work superbly on the tracks. Smaller car lengths work better than longer styles. Some of them really zoom across hard wood floors (much farther than the included cars). My boy gets a hoot out of that.

Swimways Swim Sweater

Overall, I love this product. I am able to let my 2 year old swim with out me holding him and he is so happy. My only disappointment was that i ordered it in Blue and got it in Purple which was not my first choice for a boy!

We have an inground pool. No young child is allowed in the pool area without one of these on. It allows a child to swim safely and learn the fel of their body in the water. My own children and many of our guests have learned to swim at a young age because of a swim sweater. We swear by them. I only wish they were as durable as they were years and years ago. They loose air much faster then in the"olden" days.

I wish I would have videotaped my daughter being presented with this adorable 1st doll. She was 3 months at the time, reached out for it and hugged it right away. It's so well made. The box is high-class presentation. We kept it in fact to create a diorama with someday. She likes to teeth on her legs and plastic face. It really does smell of mild-vanilla. The mask (the most important part of the costume) is one of those old-school thin plastic masks (but less durable than you remember) with a small elastic band that goes behind the head. It does not stay on and is very uncomfortable. Plus, it is so flimsy that it was already cracked when it arrived. This is guaranteed to break half way through "trick or treating." You're better off spending less money on a rubber mask. The costume itself comes with a top and pants. Our boy is 52" tall, and the medium size was borderline too small. NOT fire-friendly, so be very careful.

The childrens Darth Maul Costume was kind of chinsy for the price. the mask split on the bottom right away. It only came with a mask and a flimsy outfit which, I feel, wasn't a good buy for the price.

Our son is a big STARS WARS (SW) fan, so of course he has all the SW costumes. We received our Darth Maul (DM) costume in a timely manner. The costume is made of a nylon sort of fabric, like many other costumes these days. As the picture shows it is a very simple black costume with simple white markings and a very thin plastic mask (no double light saber as indicated.) The outfit fits very well surprisingly, considering there is still much room for growth. My son is 4 and on the growth chart is on the 50%; pretty average. My son really loves his costume and he really gets into character with this costume. My only disappointment is how thin the mask is; it can tear fairly easily if you have a rough lil guy (or girl.) My guess is it will last a few weeks and I may have to find a better quality DM mask in the future. Overall, it is a big hit with our son.

The eyes were only slits, and I had to cut them out and file down the sharp edges so my grandson could see out of the mask. Hape Pyramid of Play

I got so sick of cardboard nesting blocks not being able to stand up to what my sons can dish out. I searched for wooden nesting blocks and these popped up. The boys LOVE themespecially my one year old. Simpler than a multi-shape sorter, he can easily put the shape in it's box, then pick the box up and **peek-a-boo** there is his block. He can play this game forever! My older son is 3.5 and he loves to see the numbers, letters and color words. These can withstand his stacking and crashing time and again. These also present an opportunity for the kids to play together.

One small feature that shows how Educo pays attention to detail is the little "lip" on the top (or bottom, depending) of each block. This allows sturdier stacking as they nest in or on top of eachother. This is nice for a 1 year old just learning to build. Once he stacks, it stays giving him an opportunity to celebrate as his tower grows higher!

These are the favorite of the nesting/sorting toys in our house!

We chose these blocks over many others because they are real wood, and have a variety of educational benefits to them. We had a hard time finding a good set, because most of the other sets seem to be made of cardboard or balsa wood, but not these. After growing up with good solid toys, we've had a hard time finding similar quality now. But we are very happy with this purchase.

From the minute we pulled these out, our 11 month old was thrilled, and played with them longer than any new toy we've given her so far. The blocks are made of real wood, and stack nicely within or on top of each other. The tall lip allows for them to be very stable when stacked, and the shape blocks can only go through the shape that fits them, and they fit easily.

Everything is color coded, and there are subtle but well themed choices as far as the sides. For example, the food/animal sides all have things that start with the letter of their block (A -> Apple, B -> Butterfly, etc.). They have the number on one side, and on the shape slot they also have the shape and number corresponding. The colors are vibrant and everything is durable. It is a very well thought out toy, and a lot of coordination seems to have been put into each block.

As for durability, I'm more worried about my floor than these things falling apart. My daughter didn't really throw things before we bought these, but she seems to delight in flinging these blocks around, and she can really get them moving. Most of the time, she sends them horizontal, but occasionally straight up and down. They've hit pretty hard and I can't seem to find any damage to them (or my laminate floor... yet). But despite being durable, they are very light weight, so she can easily move them all over the place.

I can't say enough how pleased we are with these blocks, and I wish more toys these days were made with this level of quality.

I purchased this for my 14 month old daughter. She loves it. However, the shapes do not pass the "toilet paper" roll test, in which you try to pass the toy (or in this case, the shape) through the center of a toilet paper roll. If it fits, it is not safe because the toy can become lodged in a child's throat. I'm not sure why this product says it is safe for 18+ months when the shapes are clearly unsafe. I'm really disappointed because this was my child's major toy for Christmas and she can't even properly play with it.

My son has played with this toy for 8 months now and can push the blocks through the shaped holes. He also likes to stack and nest them. The fact that he can turn over the cube and get out the small colored block is also helpful; mom doesn't need to be on hand to get them out for him! He has also learned the names of the shapes and loves to tell me the names of the pictures on the sides. Overall a great purchase.

Storytime - Nutcracker

I had been looking for a unique Nutcracker gift for my daughter, 3. This is soft, bright colored yarn and is very well made. I am extremely pleased with it. I was a bit surprised by the size, thought it would be larger, but am actually happy it is smaller for her sake.

Big EduColor Blocks (Set of 32)

This is a great toy and love the size, color and construction. HOWEVER, the first time my kids played with these blocks they had an allergic reaction to whatever chemical was sprayed all over them and broke out in head to toe hives. I had to steam clean each block to get the chemical off and make them safe for my kid to play with. They love them now, but please be aware of possible allergic reactions to the chemicals from the factory left on these blocks.

If the shapes were actually cut properly, these blocks would be getting a 5 star review. With how much these blocks go for, you would think the manufacturer would take the time to set the machines up properly so that the like pieces are all the same size and that the half circles actually fit into the openings that they belong to (or that the manufacturer would have better Quality Control they should be able to afford it at these prices). The long rectangular blocks very in length by about 1/2 an inch, the half circles stick out by about 1/3 an inch and this measurement issue is the same for the other shapes. Not all the blocks are off-sized, but there are enough of them and it's enough of a difference that just building a simple ramp to send cars/trucks down is quite the challenge actually have to use cardboard to fill in the gaps to make it work. I'm very disappointed in these blocks expected so much more for what their retail cost is.

I would never recommend these to anyone.

First off my daughter is only 14 months so doesn't totally get the building part. This review is more on the quality of the product. The foam is pretty stiff but overall good. Kids can try and bite them but only leaves marks so I like that. Some of the shapes are miss shaped like they are cut worng or misshaped. Marks in some of the curves from the knife cutting out the curves. Overall ok for price and shipping was pretty fast.

I had to jump on this product. The price was too good to be true. Saw the same blocks at Buy Buy Baby for way more. If you have a little one that likes to put toys in their mouth and bite on things, then beware. 3 hours after opening the blocks, I noticed several bite marks on the blocks.

This set of larger blocks is perfect for pre-schoolers. They feel they have built BIG when they stack them. Honestly they also have fun scoooooting around on the large U shaped blocks. The blocks are large enough to stack and stay better than the smaller set for my 2 year olds. The colors are bright and seem to encourage the children to hold them up and say the color....lol even if it isn't correct they are very proud to try, the blocks make the children feel "large" in so many ways. grBig EduColor Blocks are a great pick up adventure for my home day care. VTech Baby Happy Lights Bear

First let me tell you that my son loves loves loves this toy. He has had it since he was 3 months and plays with it everyday. Please do yourself a favor and not buy this toy for this price. I paid a scant $9 for this exact toy at Wal-Mart. The picture is also deceiving this bear is very small. Do not purchase in the hopes that this is a large size bear.

My son LOVES this toy. The music is driving my husband and I insane but it makes our little man so happy. He got it at 4mo and its still keeping him busy at 6mo so if you can deal with the annoying little song this is a great toy.

Ordered this for my 14-month old son after he saw it at a family member's house. Considering it was less than $10 and he loves the thing, I couldn't be happier.

It plays a few songs and lights up and all that, only problem is; we usually only hear one song since the little guy loves to push the heart (on/off button). Nearly every time it turns back on it sings the same song. Small price to pay for the boy's happiness though!

Fisher-Price Penguin Water Teether

My 5 month old got this for her first Christmas and it was great.

I do a lot of business with this shipper and it was a great buy.

The baby's room is jungle themed along with penguins everywhere (don't know how that happened). She loves penguins (she tries to pull my Christmas ornaments off the tree, they are penguins mostly).

Along the lines of education I really cannot see right up front how it would be other than Penguins like ice.

All in all it does the job. I put it in the fridge, it gets cold, I give it to her, she chews on it while staring at the penguin and all is well.

Kids Line Teddy Bear Security Blanket

My Daughter absolutely loves the pink bear. She carries it with her everywhere and has slept with it every night since she was a couple months old. She is now 16 months and she will not go to sleep without bear. Hopefully we can break her from her bear addiction soon, but it definitely has done it's job. In fact, I had to order her one more just in case it gets left at preschool or grandmas house we have a backup.

18 months later this is still my daughter's favorite sleep item. It's cute, it's cuddly. She likes it so much we got two of them just in case we lose one.

Fisher-Price Sesame Street Elmo's Learning Fun Laptop

My 19-month-old grandson loves to push buttons. This toy is an adorable "computer" with lots of buttons to push, changeable disks for learning while playing, and easy to carry along.

The Learning Fun Laptop is a nice concept. Unfortunately, it did not work out of the box. It doesn't recognize which card is inserted so it asks questions that do not apply to the scene pictured. Since others have had the same problem this just seems to be a very poorly made toy. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I have had much better luck with the few Leap Frog toys that we have.

I was so excited about this toy for my 16 month old daughter. She squealed with delight when she opened it at Xmas. Unfortunately, the thing only worked for about 1 day. Then it TRIED to work but would only get about half way through a word and stop... like the batteries were dying. We replaced the batteries (my husband even checked the batteries with a voltage meter and they're fully functioning) and it still doesn't work. Very disappointing. On the bright side, I called Fisher Price and they're replacing the toy free of charge, so we'll see if the replacement is any better.

This toy is useless. It is insanely loud, you cant understand anything Elmo is saying, its very top heavy so it wont stand up like it shows in the picture. The design is absurd, there no way a child could push the handle down. It says ages 18 and up, but even if your child could understand the questions theres no way an 18 month old could use this toy. It's nice that it has a handle and its portable, but thats all its good for. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone.

Whoozit Shooting Star Rattle

I bought this when my son was six months old, and he didn't really like it, so it went away. Now he is a year old, and when I brought it out to check for the sharp edges, he of course wanted to play wih it. Here is the drop box url, because my phone stops uploading in the middle of the upload:

There are no sharp edges or paint, just ribbon, rubber and plastic, and elastic holding the middle part on.

I have recently contacted the company, but just to warn parents my 8 month old got her fingers caught inside this rattle. She's learning to clap and I think as she was holding it, brought her hand into it fast and hard. She screamed and cried because the inside edge was also not smooth! We have effectively put this toy away!

I had bought this rattle for my 5 month old she loved it but I had to take it off of her because the yellow paint around the inside started to peel off she had paint chips in her mouth!! I would not tell anyone to buy this product!

I bought this for our son (who is now turning 6 months), thinking that the bright colors might attract him. Not only did he love this toy, but he enjoys chewing on the ends of this and feeling all the textures this rattle offers.

Also, this rattle is very easy to clean and very easy for a little baby to manipulate. This is easily one of my son's favorite toys right now.

This rattle is made mostly of plastic, but the little lines of color radiating out of the middle of the rattle are actually bits of ribbon which offer a different texture for babies to explore.
