Lamaze High Contrast Foot Finders

My almost 5 month old loves these! I think they could have been made better. They don't stretch so it's difficult to put these on. They aren't like other booties, socks, etc. that are made with the contours of feet in mind but rather a long "tube-like" cover for your baby's foot. Plus, I think they are a little too short in length. Without any stretch to them, they tend to ride down my baby's foot and eventually come off. It gets annoying to constantly be putting them back on or adjusting them frequently. These could be really great but have room for improvement.

these are awesome/!! i put em on my 3 month old and i put her in her crib and she starts kicking away,babbling,giggling and shes having so much fun!! i also have the wrist rattles!! LOVE THEM Highly reccomended!!! :) :)

The high contrast design fascinates her. Beyond that I do not recommend this product. It didn't fit her at three months old. They where not shaped for the feet so they fit awkwardly. They did not rattle loudly either.

I bought these for our 3 month old granddaughter. The bright colors really catch her attention, but the fabric is not like a sock and does not stretch. We also bought the other set that has the solid color sock and those stretch and fit on the feet perfectly. She still love the color and plays with them in her hand, but not what they were made for.

Max Clutching Toy

My year old grandson loves Max. The wooden toy feels good in your hands. The paint does not chip. Max is extremely well made. the only negative is when he throws Max down from upstairs because he likes the noises Max makes as he lands on the tile below. Max has survived it all.

At 14-months, our daughter still plays with this toy. Love the fact it's made of wood and not plastic. We have tons of pictures from last summer when she was an infant with Maxe in her mouth! Great toy for the young ones.

This makes a really pleasant, delicate, clacking sound. It's durable, the wooden stain stays brightly colored and is non-toxic, and you only have to wipe it with a damp cloth to clean it. It was even cuter in person than in the picture and it made my 3-month-old sons smile and reach forward. Total winner.

HABA Whirlygig Clutching toy

My daughter was given another one of the Haba clutching toys for Christmas and loves it so I bought this one thinking it could be a replacement for when the other one is dropped (or thrown) on the floor and is in the pile of toys to be cleaned. It is nice looking and so far seems to be well made (as are the other Haba toys we have) but the colored knobs are a little on the small side so it is a little difficult for her to fiddle with them. She does like to jingle the bell but loses interest in about 30 seconds...maybe when she is a little older she will like it more but for now the Haba Magica toy is the favorite.

For anyone who is a little compulsive about cleaning baby toys like I am, both our Haba toys have been in and out of soapy water probably 100 times by now and have held up very well to being repeatedly dropped on the floor and washed.

My son loves this toy. It fits perfectly in his little hands, and the bell is quiet and not annoying at all. Great teething toy :)

I bought this for my 9 month old and I absolutely love it. It's made of wood, non-toxic, great colors, and not super noisy. The bell is a nice jingle. The colored pieces all twirl. It's a lot smaller than I expected but that's good for little hands. Only problem is that my baby doesn't like it at all. He never plays with iteven if it's the only toy around!

Tonka Wheel Pals Triple Track Tower

My 2 year old hasn't stopped playing with this toy since we took it out of the box. He absolutely loves putting the cars on the starting blocks and pushing the button to watch them go down the hills.

The cars seem very durable. They are a softer plastic (but not too squishy) and have nice big wheels. They're a perfect size for 2 year old hands to hold onto and push around.

You can turn the sound off, which is a nice feature a lot of toys seem to forget to add these days. The tracks also seem durable. They are "connected" at the top and the bottom of the ramps so we have not had any ramps coming loose and frustrating my son.

Overall, a very simple toy but it has bright cheery colors and it's very toddler friendly. Even my 4 and 8 year olds are trying to take it over to play it and have races. I think it's a sure hit for any child and it has a very attractive price.

Cute concept just a little boring. My son is 22 months old and plays with it for about 2 minutes and then is done. The race is over almost as quickly as pushing the button.

ON A AGGRAVATING NOTE: This is the Wheel Pals race track and NOT ONE of the WHEEL PALS work on it. Hasbro/Tonka has made the race cars smaller than the little wheel pals so when your child tries to race the other Wheel pals he or she has on this track they won't work. What a racquet!!

My son really enjoys this toy. I've also found the Hot Wheels/Matchbox style cars work superbly on the tracks. Smaller car lengths work better than longer styles. Some of them really zoom across hard wood floors (much farther than the included cars). My boy gets a hoot out of that.

The World of Eric Carle: Activity Caterpillar by Kids Preferred

I pretty much went through every early development toy on the market and came up with a large list of toys for my baby. I wanted to get her a caterpillar like toy and was struggling to decide between this one and the Lamaze musical inchworm found here:

Well, I got both. The Lamaze inchworm is almost twice as long, very soft, and has a lot of different textures on the body which my newborn took to immediately. When she got older, it was easy for her to squeeze the head and enjoy the music. She snuggles up with it occasionally and when she was a newborn I enjoyed using to measure her length!

This product on the other hand has a lot interesting parts, like the rattle you can see and the rings around the body which I figured she could use as a teether as well. However, like other reviewers pointed out, the music is hard for baby to access. The other thing I didn't like was the material of the toy. The toy was not very soft (then again I didn't expect this to be a plush toy) and there were some parts that started peeling a little after a few weeks of use. This happens with a lot of toys but I was a bit upset since baby loves putting this in her mouth. The bright colors are certainly engaging.

Everything considered, I liked this toy much better as an early development toy and found it comparable to the Lamaze take along toys. I would say it is best suitable for babies between 1 and 8 months. The Lamaze inchworm is better if you're looking for something soft to cuddle with, or if you are introducing it to a newborn.

we got this for my son when he was 3 months old. He loves to look at it on his infant carrier. It's soft which is nice-most of the ones I saw were hard plastic. He can now reach up and grab the squeaky heart!

We purchased this for our Daughter to replace the yellow one she owned made by Parents. The Parents one worked Great & basically is the exact same microphone. Our Daughter only likes PINK & wanted this one because it was prettier than her yellow one. We could not find one that RECORDS made in PINK. The Parents one has better sound quality! So we sacrificed sound quality for a prettier microphone. But she still uses it daily! The record feature is wonderful!

I am glad I decided to make sure this toy worked before I gave it to my children. (I bought 2 of them.) The only way to amplify your voice is to talk directly into the top of the microphone and your mouth has be be touching the mic. I am returning both microphones.

It is a really nice size, and is easy for her tiny hands to find the right buttons, she just needs help turning it on, but can turn it off all by herself. I have been searching for a musical stuffed animal for my two-year-old there are so many available that play either "Twinkle Twinkle" or "Brahm's Lullaby," but I wanted something unique. Was delighted to find this turtle that plays "You Are My Sunshine."

The turtle itself is really cute and cuddly, and winding the baby turtle was easy for my daughter (and avoids the problem of long pull strings and strangling dangers). The music boxes seem to be defective the first one I ordered wouldn't play. After a quick replacement from Amazon, we have one that works, but one of the notes in the music box is severely out of tune. I'm not a musical expert, but it really bothers me to listen to it! Lily loves the turtle, so we will keep it, but I wish I could have sampled several turtles to make sure the music box was in decent shape.

Fisher-Price Growing Baby Fun Sounds Flip Phone

My granddaughter loves this toy. She is 11 months old. The music and sounds are soft and fun. She is teething and bites on it all the time and she now launches everything across the room since she discovered she can do that and the toy takes the brunt of it with no damage, scratches, or changes to the music. This is very well made and fun.

I purchased this phone for my 2 year old daughter as an attempt to make my cell phone appear a little less desirable. She loves to say, "Hello" and jabber away into the receiver. She's happy to now have her own phone. Although, I was hoping it would do more based on the description. We purchased two for our twin 2yr old's. The picture on screen is made to change every time they open and close the phone, however both of ours failed fairly quickly, getting stuck on one picture or half way changed to another. The mech that changes the picture is weak, but other that the buttons make noise and the girls still like them. You may just get tired of hearing "Daddy, phone BROKE!"

Overall, I love this product. I am able to let my 2 year old swim with out me holding him and he is so happy. My only disappointment was that i ordered it in Blue and got it in Purple which was not my first choice for a boy!

We have an inground pool. No young child is allowed in the pool area without one of these on. It allows a child to swim safely and learn the fel of their body in the water. My own children and many of our guests have learned to swim at a young age because of a swim sweater. We swear by them. I only wish they were as durable as they were years and years ago. VTech Count and Dive Penguins Bath Toy

My 18 month old twins love this tub toy. It has also changed my mind about tub toys that require batteries. One child can play with the baby penguins in the tub while the other plays with the star or heart buttons on the mom penguin.

The songs are the usual ones, but they somewhat have a tropical feel to them. There are also two volume levels

The mom penguin asks if you can "find baby penguin number ___?" However, it doesn't give a hooray or no if the wrong number is inserted; the mom penguin gives a fun sound and says "I'm baby penguin number __."

You can pull out the baby penguins or push down on the mom penguin's feet. My kids like to pull the babies out, but they do like the splash sound that is made when the mom's feet are depressed. Right now, the net isn't being used, but I'm sure it will be more fun when they are older.

I LOVE this toy!! I think I love it even more than my 1-year-old, but only because she's not old enough to appreciate how valuable it really is. When I was a kid, bath time was my favorite time of day. I would spend the entire duration of the tub filling picking out which toys I was going to bring into the bath with me. When I had my daughter I vowed that bath time would be just as fun for her as it was for me when I was little. Fun in the tub is all about having the proper toys. And this penguin is the proper toy! Not only is it fun (my baby loves to press the star to hear the music play), but it's teaching her lots. It teaches her to count to ten, and how to identify numbers. It also teaches her cause-and-effect press the mommy's feet and the baby penguin pops out. It also teaches her shapes, as she is learning the proper way to hold the baby penguin so that it fits correctly into the space. We've only had this toy for about a month, so I can't really speak for it's durablity or longevity, but so far so good. It's using the same batteries it came with, all of the various functions still work, and it continues to hold my daughter's attention. A+ in my book!

It is not clear even to me as an adult how to get the baby's to pop out. Just push his foot, and there is no click or anything to notify you that you have pushed hard enough, and they don't instantly pop out, they randomly pop out after a few seconds.

I wish I would have videotaped my daughter being presented with this adorable 1st doll. She was 3 months at the time, reached out for it and hugged it right away. It's so well made. The box is high-class presentation. We kept it in fact to create a diorama with someday. She likes to teeth on her legs and plastic face. It really does smell of mild-vanilla. WARNING: This review was made when the toy was about twenty bucks. I noticed today that it's listed for more than sixty. No way is this worth that much.

Pros:

plays a nice tune when it's pulled

colorful metal notes

soft edges everywhere

tones are pleasant

seems pretty durable so far

Cons:

string on the wand is laughably short (so much so that you can't actually use the wand on some of the notes)

metal notes are just a little too narrow because of the plastic knobs holding them in place; forces the player to be pretty accurate in their aim to get a clear tone, and a toddler just isn't

Find a heavy shoelace and lengthen the string by several inches. If you're worried this would be a strangulation hazard, then plan to either take the wand off entirely, or have a frustrated child whenever the wand jerks short when they try to use it to hit the notes.

My daughter loves this toy it sounds a tune when she pulls it and she loves to make her own music. One thing I would have liked is for the pull cord to be longer. No bells and whistles, just an old fashioned toy that still brings joy to the little ones!

The only issue that prevented it from recieving 5 stars is that we feel the cord holding the stick is too short. If the cord was only 4 to 6 inches longer it would be easier for the child to use.

We love this xylophone. My husband and I have spent a lot of time playing with it (our daughter is too young yet). The tone is much better than I expected. One note is very slightly out of tune, but not enough to notice unless you compare it with another instrument. We can play "Mary Had a Little Lamb," "Joy to the World," "Three Blind Mice," and numerous other songs with the limited number of notes.

My only gripe with the product is that the cord from the xylophone to the stick is too short. I'm sure it's that way due to safety concerns. However, it's very difficult to play the instrument with that cord length. We simply replaced the cord with a longer one, and are very happy with that choice.

This xylophone's cord which connects the stick is insanely short. So short that it makes the playing the end notes impossible. The manufacturer never tried to actually use this thing. Plus it's overpriced for what it is, better alternatives out there.

Mini Tinkle Crinkle Pastel Colors - 8 inch

This has been my son's nightime toy for over 2 years, he can't sleep without it. We have purchased over 8 of these because he has lost so many taking them around the house. I searched all over the internet to find these to replace the first one he got as a gift (and fell in love with) and we found it here and at a good price.

This is a very sweet looking toy, but it is so small that the crinkly effect is much less than in the larger version. It is nice for smaller hands, though, and very soft.

California Costumes Unisex Adult Peacock Pet Costume

This is a great costume. Padding under the "feathers" make the "plume" stand up nicely. Purchased both a small and extra small. The extra small fit my 6 pound Yorkie but the small was too large despite my measuring the dog. Consider going one size down for this costume.

Okay let me just say I fell in love with this costume before I even got it. I was going to get this for Pugfest, so my dog could be in the costume contest. First all let me say, if you plan to buy this item get a size smaller! It runs really big, lucky I know how to sew so I was able to get it to fit on my dog. It says a medium would fit a Pug, so not true. Unless my Pug is really small for her breed.

But over all a great costume!

Tumbler Toy/tilting Toy, Roly-poly Baby Toy "Nevalyashka" with Sound, Small 6.25"/16cm (001)

This is a good classic toy that works well. Like many toys of Soviet epoch, it works well and durable but could look a bit better aesthetically. The outline of the eyes (eyebrows, eyelashes and outer eye) are painted in slightly fuzzy strokes (effect similar to low-resolution printing) looks like someone used too fuzzy of a brush for what needs precise lines. Also, the "whites" of the eyes are not white, but yellow, the same color as the skin, which gives the toy a less-than-healthy look. Also, the overall facial expression, while looks smiley at the picture, is not very happy upon closer inspection. My son, who at this point had it for 6 months (he is 15 months) occasionally plays with it for a short while, but not very much. I'll upload the closer shot of the face when I get around to it so that you see what I'm talking about...
