Melissa & Doug: Monkey Face Rattle

This is a good quality wooden toy. It's not a loud rattle. The eyes move around, which creates the soft wooden clicking sound of a rattle. It's large enough for a young child to grasp easily (I can fit four fingers through the monkey's mouth to grasp it), and the color is bright enough to capture a baby's attention. It's also durable enough to withstand rough use. Very cute, and gently entertaining.

I had my doubts about ANY rattle that was made of wood, let alone a painted one. We have this and the fish rattle by Melissa & Doug; both have cracked and peeled with even the most minimal exposure to moisture (drooling and teething tend to be pretty wet experiences). Also, all toys, especially those which go straight into the mouth (which is most of them) have to be washed a LOT. Another issue is that this is really going to hurt when babies smack themselves in the head with it, and they probably will, depending upon the age of the child.

Both rattles look terrible, with chipped, fading paint. They were cute (at first) and appealing, on the plus side. I would not recommend these, or give them as gifts, to anyone with an infant. They seem to be more decorative than functional. We have always had Melissa & Doug products and really enjoy them, but will probably steer clear of their baby items.

i was initially disappointed in this rattle as it doesn't really "rattle". it was not of much interest/use when my son was little. as he got older and could grasp, he liked to bang it. all this banging has scuffed the monkey and some of the paint has started to chip off (and onto the floor/wall). it has now found itself on the shelf and will be pulled out again when he doesn't put everything in his mouth. i am afraid of him getting a splinter in his mouth.

I loved this rattle the minute I saw it. It's made very well & safe for baby as are all of the toys from the Melissa & Doug line. My 7 month old loves to stare at the colorful monkey and he laughs when the monkey's eyes move around. It's just a simple yet adorable rattle with the cutest monkey face you've ever seen. My son loves it and so does anyone else who sees it & asks me where I got it.

Gund Baby Love Our Earth Organic Cotton Patch the Puppy Rattles (Pink)

Got the item and very disappointed. Not as cute as pictured. Item is somewhat flat, not as fluffy as pictured. It's almost like those flat fabric teether animals. Also, "Made in China" and the tag says "contents: 100% polyester." Maybe just the cover is organic but it does not say that on the tag at all. What am I to believe? Looks and feels cheap in real life. I wouldn't buy this if I were you. I'd send it back except I live in Hawaii and the shipping would negate the refund. :<

I've changed my rating up by one star. After washing, the toy fluffed up and feels better. Still not as cute and fluffy as pictured but a lot better than originally received. My baby seems to like it and that's the main thing I suppose.

Pavilion Bean Bag Toss Game

Hard to keep the kids attention if that is all they are playing. A bit on the flimsy side. Would be a fun carnival game.

The Pavilion Bean Bag Toss Game is propped by a dowel rod that made it too upright. The angle was wrong and made it too difficult to hit the frogs' mouths; the bean bags just bounced off. My husband shortened the rod by 8 inches to cause the board to recline, and it was a big improvement. Our two-year-old granddaughter can do it! It is not super sturdy, but sturdy enough for the price. Not too big, not too heavy.

Magnetic Numbers With Addition, Multiplication 123 Set

Some of the letters do not stick to the fridge very well due to how big they are and having 1 little magnet in them. My daughter loves playing with them, I have found the letters all over the house. Right after she got them I found a magnet in her mouth which was disappointing as it is a choking hazard, would think they would have been glued in a little better.

A good product for the price. We use these numbers on our fridge and our boys loves to say the numbers as he puts them on the fridge!

I purchased these for my son, but was a little disappointed because I had just assumed that these were Alphabet and Numbers, not just numbers. This is not the retailer's fault though, it is my own fault for not paying close attention, so that is not the reason for my 4/5 Stars. There was really nothing wrong with the product, but I do not think it was overly amazing either. This is a nice little set if you are teaching your child numbers or practicing basic adding and subtracting. I do recommend this product.

This is a great baby doll for little ones. The whole doll is soft except the face, which is a soft type of plastic. My 9 month old loves chewing on her arms and legs. She also enjoys examining her face.

Darling Doll! My 8 month old loved it! Soft body makes it easy to snuggle, and my daughter loves "kissing the baby" on that face. Of course it has the delightful Corolle vanilla scent, too!

I wish I would have videotaped my daughter being presented with this adorable 1st doll. She was 3 months at the time, reached out for it and hugged it right away. It's so well made. The box is high-class presentation. We kept it in fact to create a diorama with someday. She likes to teeth on her legs and plastic face. It really does smell of mild-vanilla. Munchkin Baby Bath Ball - Blue & Green

My son has loved this since we bought it (6 months) to now (18 months). He uses it to fill water in other toys or pour on himself and we use it to keep him warm using the shower end to pour on him. The one end is open with big holes, the other has tiny, shower head like holes.

Guess How Much I Love You: Soft Book by Kids Preferred

Not only is this a classic book (abbreviated in this cloth version of course) it is the best soft book I've come across. We have a 6 month old and this has been her favorite toy/book/teether ever since she could control her little arms. She loved it even before she could touch it.

Pros-

* ALL the pages have the crinkle paper (not just the first page like most soft books).

* the textured teething heart is thin enough that my little one can grab it easily.

* "Press" button makes a kissing noise and says "I love you". Has not worn out in the 6 months we've been using it

* Another favorite feature is the "binding" which is almost like a soft rubberized coating. I really don't know what the material is, but my daughter also loves to chew on it. She has had two teeth since four months and there are no teeth marks.

Con-

* Cleaning directions are: surface wash. I wish I could just throw it in the washing machine but I'm sure the "voice" inside isn't waterproof. :-) The same is true for almost all of my daughters cloth toyssurface wash only.

This is my "go to" item. I'll be gifting all new babes with this awesome book.

Love this story for the very young. The cloth format makes it a natural to introduce at an early age. The crinkly sound of each page also makes it a tactile great find!!! I've added this to my collection of reading material for my youngest grandchildren.

My wife bought this book for our 6 month daughter and I am not real impressed for the price. In reality, you are buying a toy, not a book, which is not really what we were looking for.

It has several things for them to play with: a teething ring, it crinkles when the grab it, and it even has a battery operated speaker that tells the baby, "I love you" when pressed. All of these things work as intended, so nothing to complIn anout there, although the piece that holds the jumping bunny is really flimsy, so I would not recommend you let your baby play with it unattended; however, we were looking for a book that our baby could hold on to while we read it to her. The book works for this, but there are better books out there for less money, like the Peek A Boo Forest, which we got on sale and our daughter loves.

Little Bo Peep Costume

This is by far the cutest Bo Peep costume I was able to find for my three year old. She received many compliments while wearing it. She's on the small side and it fit her well. The outfit was also fairly durable for a Halloween costume. We will definitely be using it again for her younger sister.

Loved the dress, it came with a mildew stain on the bow. I didn't have time to return it so I cut the stained portion and sewed it myself.

We received this costumes and it only had one flower at the top when it pictures 2. The one that it had fell off the second I put it on my daughter to try on. When I looked at it I noticed it had been GLUED on! For the amount of money we spent on this I expected alot more! Not to mention when I put the bonnet on her one of the straps broke off immediately as I was tying it under her chin. We had to sew that back on.

Also, this was advertized as being a size 2. Upon delivery it was size 2-4 which was giant on my petite 2 year old!

This product is cute just be aware that the item is not necessarily as shown in the picture. I received my first order and the dress was torn on the sleeve and looked to have been used and returned. Amazon promptly sent me a replacement, as usual I was very pleased with Amazon's customer service. However, the second costume I received did not look like the picture. The dress is supposed to have two layers, however, it was sewn so that the dress only had one layer and it was not nearly as cute as the picture.

This costume has inspired me to do what I always wanted to. Buy a sewing machine, learn how to use it, and make costumes myself. The costume is what it says; barely. The overall impression is of something very cheaply made and I cringe to think of the river in China that will never be the same because of all the synthetic product in this outfit. The material felt worse than polyester and maintained heat like a grain silo. One of the rosettes was already falling off the hat before it even came out of the bag.

That saidwhile it does look less cute in person, people complemented my toddler in it and she liked the fact that she looked cute (until she started sweating so much we had to take it off).

If you're in a time crunch (for say, Halloween) it will do, but be prepared for it looking better from further away and potentially needing to do some sewing repair.

The seller was very prompt in shipmentno complaints.

I purchased this for a friend's one year old boy's birthday party. They told me that after he opened this gift, he ignored any other gift they tried to give him and he played with this one all night. That made me so happy. I think this is a perfect gift for a new walker, or a baby who's about to walk. Heck, I am pretty sure that either one of my toddlers (who are years past learning to walk!) would love this dog! He's so cute and looks so willing to follow! My toddler loves taking this puppy on our walks. Because the puppy only goes when he goes, it keeps him moving! The only draw back of the product is that it's not very durable when used outside. Our puppy now has some "bald" spots and and he's flat under the chin from being pulled along the ground. But he has a cute wiggle when he's pulled and the ears are awesome!

The quality of this toy is fantastic-organic, soft, very well made. I was a bit disappointed in it's size-MUCH larger than I thought & way too big to serve as a stroller toy or hanging toy for a pack n play or crib. It also plays the tune of "Twinkle Twinkle"-I guess I was expecting it to play a Winnie the Pooh song. Very cute toy if you have a purpose in mind, but I wish I had purchased a different one from this brand instead.

I love this musical toy i have it dangling from my baby's car seat, although i wouldn't recommend doing this until he or she is older because it is a bit long and will hang on a newborns face depending on how high the handle is it could be unsafe. Yep, this will make your little one into a very reasonable replica of Mr. DJ Lance Rock. The shirt is smock-tyle (closing on the back with a few velcro tabs). It's reasonably lightweight and cool to wear, using stretchy fabric you see in better costumes. The plastic glasses and fuzzy hat complete it nicely. Our four year old strives for a high level of proximateness with such things, and this costume passed muster nicely. 6 months later and no durability issues so far.

I bougth a 2T costume for my 2yr old son. The pant fit him nicelly, the shirt was ok, I wish it was a little bigger. The material is a little cheap, and very thin, so I have to put 3 layers of shirts on him, and a warm pant. The top part almost did not close, the pants were fine... The hat as everyone else said is too small and would not fit his head. Overall it was ok, he loved his Dj Lance Rock costume... If your kid is bigger than average you should consider buy a bigger size, because you will probably need to bundle him up underneath the costume, since the fabric is very thin.

My son received this as a gift for Christmas when he was 9 months old. He was interested in the little blocks and did like to push it around. He also enjoyed sitting on it and pressing the buttons. Now that he is olderalmost 2, he does all the same things but does not ride on it at all. The steering wheel does not control the wheels so it is a little awkward. The toy is well made but I think it is overrated. I would get rid of it if my husband would let me.

There is this same truck with a wheel attachment. the wheel makes lots of different noises. a horn..an ignition, a signal thing. and you can even use it separately. my son loves it. they truck is great too. he loves the big wheels!!

For starters, we too thought we were getting a steering wheel with this toy. My husband attached the wheels that need to be assembled and the wheels don't even touch the floor! The toy picker-upper in the front is kind of a neat design. It runs over the toy, scoops them up and tosses them into the "body" under the seat. The seat can be removed by an adult to be used as a walker toy, but all of my children expected to lift the seat to be able to retrieve the scooped up toys. The only way for the child to get the toys is through a hole on ONE the side of the toy. Just to add insult to injury, the top of the seat has a shape sorter kind of activity. You would think that they would have made the holes for the shapes to fall down into the "body" of the toy under the seat, but no, they are solid so I guess you just set the shapes on them?!?! Fun. All in all, poor designs all the way around, poorly constructed, and poorly advertised. Too bad.
