This is the best toy to give a toddler (1+ years). It is gift I give for those first birthday parties or first Christmases. Every kid loves it, and it often becomes their favorite toy. They don't grow tired of it.

The models of this toy vary some in the coloring of the plastic, the velocity that the balls shoot out the top, the decorations on the side, etc.

But it is always a hit ... and after giving the toy, the parents will invariably come back with "that's his favorite toy" or "she has never grown tired of the ball popper" or "you always give her the best things" ... definitely a hit if you need a standout something for a toddler in your life.

for looks, more than anything else, but it does the trick, especially the eyes, which seem to follow you, and the whiskers, which look authentic. You can get less expensive versions, but they are not worth the price difference. I rate it ****

The face is very realistic but the body doesn't seem to match the size of the head. It sounds huge and the pictures are a bit misleading for the size of it. Please don't get me wrong, it is very large, but not quite as big as I expected based on the pictures. He loves it so I guess it's worth it.

Kids Preferred Goodnight Moon On-the-Go Musical Bunny

This item is adorable. If your little one is into the "Goodnight Moon" book like mine all were, this is a great idea. It plays "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" when you press the tummy. Can easily clip onto a swing, stroller or whatever. Well made. Looks just like the bunny in his striped pajamas that is saying goodnight to his room in the book.

Wonderworld Fire Engine Walker

My daughter received this for her first birthday and it has been quite a hit! She loves it, her best friend loves it... they like to push each other around in it, although I am sure that would not be recommended by the manufacturer. The blocks are fun too and it came with more blocks than what was expected.

I bought this walker for my 10 mth old son. It came with one of the wheels already came off from the walker. The wheel was glued instead of bolted to the walker and it can easily come off. Returning the item!

Know that although very cute the shoes will get very dirty seeing that it's a light colored costume. The headpiece is a bit loose and my baby had to get pushing it up but that is to be expected in a one size fits all situation. Very warm for trick or treating. Overall, pretty happy :)

I bought this costume for my daughter who is 16 months old. Costume is very cute and we got lots of compliments, but it didn't look quite as cute as it did in the picture. The hat sits up a bit high and the bows are a much brighter pink that don't match as well. THe costume fit my daughter very well we got a 12-18 month size, but my daughter is in the 10th percent for weight and 25th percent for height, so I would recommend ordering a bit big. My daugher thinks it is cute and loves to look at the picture of the girl on the package wearing the costume, but she doesn't like to wear it so much. She likes to be a bit more free. The costume is pretty warm, and my daughter wore it just a couple of days ago to a halloween parade and carnival in very warm weather (for Iowa) and I think she was too hot in the costume, but if it gets really cold for Halloween I don't think she will be warm enough, so hopefully it stays fairly nice and doesn't drop below freezing.

I just got this shipped last week while amazon had it's deal for $23. It is of course not the most high quality construction, but will get the job done. Reality is you shouldn't be getting toys that you rely on to completely entertain your child, they should be actively using their imagination. That being said, I can't wait to give it to my 2 year old for his birthday. For the price I bought it at I would buy it again, but not for any more than that.

My child is obsessed with the CARS movies and this was a great toy for them to get. The play set allowed them to play along while the movie was on the DVD player. Very cute!

Bought this for my 4.5 yo for Christmas. It has only been touched once. There really isn't much to do. There are no sounds like in most Imaginext products. It basically provides the backdrop for his imaginary play. I think this will be a giant dust collector. For the price, it should do more.

Not a bad product, bit pricey for what you get though. Gave this as a gift for a friends little girl and wish I would have spent the extra money for a few more little people.

Mini figure is cute. The book is not very well made. Kind of warped and definitely not going to hold up with a one year old.

Fisher-Price Kick and Learn Piano

The product was just as I had expected. The baby, 4 months old, kicked the heck out of it. He has made his way down to the end of the crib in the middle of the night to play. I would suggest turning it off at nightime if you want to get some rest.

The only drawback I found was the volumn could be a little stronger it is too low for my liking.

I rarely take the time to write reviews, but I want to put this here like a warning for other parents who use this piano or are about to buy it.

We got it when our daughter was 3 months (it states 0+ months) and it has been entertaining her since lots, she loves to play with it! Loves the lights and the sounds.

It is not as durable as expected, threads from the filling inside were coming out right from the first week. It is padded, but it is still quite hard when a baby drops their had on the key's. Padding should be improved.

However the biggest problem is that orange, standing out, cutting switch on the right side. It is rounded down, but is sticking out made of hard plastic. I had my thoughts on it from the start, I imagined how our daughter could fall on it, since infants drop their head abruptly when still learning head control. Worse, she is now 6 months and is falling over from her sitting positions. I should have trusted my instinct from the beginning and removed it, but I didn't. Despite being next to her as she was sitting and playing, touching the keys and the lights, she fell over and hit her cheek on the switch! It swell and she has a bruise now. I dare not imagine what could have happened, if she would have hit her eye!!

I am taking this piano away.

I am surprised that Fisher Price would make this crucial mistake and put such a standing out cutting switch on an infant's toy! I am going to send a complaint to them as well and hopefully they will either recall or improve their product.

Stacking Sensations Cups by Sassy

We have had these for at least a year and they are very durable and have been washed many times. Our toddler never really stacked them as they are all too close to the same size. We found other stackers more fun, but these are pretty so we use them for snacks or as play kitchen cups.

My son was chewing on the "teethable rim" and was able to bite off little pieces of plastic. He could have choked on them or swallowed them. I would not recommend this product.

Very cute kids will like them. Ordered a random color for reduced price got all the same colors. OK, but disappointed to not get several colors. Kids probably won't care about the color.

Bummed that their was only one. I should have paid better attention to the description and reviews, so that's my fault. It's also too bad that you can't pick which one you get, so you end up with the random white one. My kids like it okay, but probably would have enjoyed it more if it was a brighter color.

Bought this for my six month old grandaughter. She LOVES it. The bells and jingles catch her attention. Since it moves on its own power, she is adament about chasing it...even if she is dong a commando crawl rather than a true crawl movement. Makes for some fun! Balls (2) received without battery protectors and barely worked for 15 minutes. I ordered new items; however I believe I received used ones. My daughters purchased ones from unknown locations and they worked and are still working fine as they had the battery protectors upon unpackaging. Luck of the draw? Make sure you are ordering new units and return immediately before you trash original packaging.

The seller was not clear about how many balls you get. I thought for the price you'd get a few of them, just as the picture shows. Wrong!! Only one, and it doesn't work. I looked further into the details of the item and cleverly the very last sentence was color of the one ball randomly chosen at shipment. And..when I open the box to see the actual receipt from Toys R Us for $7.99 and I paid double that!! The shipping info was me and it said bill to Elrad Z Prime Sale. Fisher-Price Little People Builders Classic Shapes Blocks

My son was given a Little People bus filled with the Little People blocks when he was 12 months old. He has been banging the blocks together since then, and learning how to put them together. These blocks are large enough that I didn't worry about him choking on them. Now that he is older (20 months), I wanted some additional blocks for him, but didn't want to have to buy a Little People jungle or other some such kit, all I wanted was blocks to expand on what we have already. I didn't want to change brands, since his blocks attach to the bus carrier that we have already. These blocks fit the bill perfectly! There are several arches, roof shapes, and round and square blocks to help him build more complex shapes. They come in several colors so we can work on naming colors as he builds, can work on shapes (round and square, big and little) and they are easy for him to hold and push together. I actually bought 2 of these, one to keep at grandma's house! I'm very happy with my purchase!

My daughter had the little people builder wagon so I wanted to extend the set she had...I wish I never would have bought the wagon so I could have bought better blocks. For a Fisher Price set this is really disappointing! As a few other reviews mentioned these blocks DO NOT stay together-which defeats the purpose of blocks. Currently my 18 month old enjoys playing with them because they are brightly colored & new and can't get many together...but as she grows I know we will both be even more disappointed. For the price this is a rip off.

I thought this set would be a great starter set for my son. He isn't too interested in building with them yet, but gets the concept when I build something. I am a little disappointed that some of the blocks don't fit together very well. Some of them don't "lock" together and are easily taken apart, rather fall apart. We will have them out for his building skills, but will likely get another set once he gets the hang of building. For the money, it's pretty good, I like the many different shapes, but would prefer them fitting together better.

We bought this for my 6 month old son per advice of a friend that recommended blocks. The bag is a nice storage compartment that my son will tip over and it makes him laugh, but the block quality is another story. While I will stack them and my son knocks the blocks over, a lot of times the blocks collapse on their own. I have used Lego Duplo's and they stick together like traditional legos where as these blocks can barely hold four pieces on top of another.

Wonderworld Puppy Car

The Wonderworld Puppy Car looks very cute and bounces gently when it moves, which is fun, but the wood for the product is quite rough in spots. My baby at first liked chewing on this toy. One day she was chewing the car and started crying. After that she stopped chewing on it. My best guess is that she discovered one of these unpleasant rough spots in the wood. I wish that the body of the car was made a little better. It is also smaller than might be obvious by the photo, only a little larger than the palm of one's hand.

Fun Foot Froggie

We bought this toy because it had a frog on it and she is obsessed with Baby Signing Time which has a frog on it. The first time she played with this toy, she broke the white clip off, but it was ok, because it gave her a long tag to play with, which I think made her like it more. This toy has been one of our favorite 'go-to' toys to take to church or out because it doesn't make a lot of noise but still occupies her. Love this frog!

Plush Santa's Workshop Baby Talk Playset 8"

I bought this set at the beginning of December for my 28 month old son. I thought it would be fun for him to have a Christmas themed toy for the month, since he's more excited about Christmas this year than last. I was surprised to receive it and realize that all the 4 little characters make a noise or song when squeezed. I just double-checked the product description and it says nothing of this fact, which is fine, but that's why I'm always hesitant to buy things without product reviews!

So I'll be the first to review for others.

When squeezed, the Santa says "Ho ho ho."

The Elf makes a kind of xylophone, "magic" sound similar to a sound of turning the page for read along books.

Snowman plays the tune of "Frosty the Snowman."

Reindeer plays the tune of "Jingle Bells."

All the sounds are fine, just note that the Frosty and Jingle Bells songs are really FAST, so if your toddler asks you to sing along, you will have to sing FAST!

The Santa's Workshop is sturdy and my toddler loves toting it around by the handle and putting all the characters inside.

All in all, it's a very cute gift for toddlers and fun for the holidays. I'm sure that eventually when the tiny battery wears down inside the characters, my son will still enjoy them without the sounds.

Creative Peg Puzzle

This was a Christmas gift for a 1 year old baby. She seemed to like colors and noise that could made with this toy by shaking it. I think she will need to be older to operate it correctly. The posts are not rigid, they bend over when pushed so as not to cause an injury if the child falls on the toy.

I wanted something durable, attractive and something my 18 month old wouldn't get bored with in a day. This toy was it! It has several levels of challenge including the large puzzle base + the blocks that go onto the pegs like "keys" in a sense. So you have to figure out which way to twist the pieces to get them on and off. Then on top of that, the blocks only fit onto a particular base. Plus there's a color grouping level of learning too. My son has yet to figure it all out and it's been about a week. I think this'll keep him perplexed (and entertained) for a while which is a good thing for mommy.

I love that the instruments are brightly colored and fun. It's also fantastic that they store within the drum itself (with space for other instruments; we use the drum to store all the music toys we can, and there's enough room). The drum can be worn around your little one's neck, and my daughter has worn it as a drum, as a pretend container for snacks when she was pretending to be a vendor at a baseball game, and as a snack bowl with easy access so it has more potential than you'd expect!

We've had the toy through three years and two children (who play roughly), and other than a few stickers that my daughter has added to the set, they're like new.

When I got this, it also included a coupon for a free year's subscription to Parents magazine. That was a definite positive, and I enjoyed the magazine not enough to renew it at the end, but enough to read it cover to cover for the year I had it.

I got this for my daughter on Christmas. She love it! (18m old) IT doubles as a carrier so the toys don't go everywhere when she's done. She watches a show called, "Jack's Big Music show" and it fits with the show soo well. The only real gripe I have is with the xylophone. There are 6 bells but only 3 notes (both sides are the same except for color). Plus they seem to be bolted down a bit too tight so it doesn't sound a clear as it could. But over all it's been a great toy for her. I recommend it!

Guidecraft Stack'N Sort Barrels

I bought these barrels for my son when he was 2 years old. They quickly became a favorite because you can play with them so many ways! Hide surprises in them, roll them, shake them, play with them in the bath tub or pool. Stack them, sort them in sizes and color, take them apart and let your child find the other half. Great classic toy!! My first grand daughter loved them and I was pleased to find them online for my new granddaughter. Now that I have written this I realize I need to buy myself a couple of sets for future gifts.

I teach hands-on history and when I wanted to do an activity involving general stores and barrels, I thought of the old stacking barrels toys. I'm using them to show students the various sizes goods were packed in for delivery on ships or wagons. I have some 19th century math problems to company the activity. No stacking involved here just showing sizes of pins, tierces, kinderkins & firkins. Fun stuff.

Pajanimals Large Plush - Sweetpea Sue

Our daughter loves Pajanimals and we were very excited to see this stuffed animal collection available on Amazon. When it arrived, we were very disappointed. The character's eyes are pointing in two different directions (one up and the other way to the left), one ear was sewn on backwards, and the head doesn't look anything like Sweet Pea Sue. We really wanted to love this stuffed animal but it isn't very good quality.

Hopefully future versions will be a little better.

It looks just like sweetpea Sue and my granddaughter age 1 1/2 loves it. Great idea.

I highly recommend it.

My girls are big fans of the Pajanimals. There is very little merchandise out there, so I really wanted them to have these. Overall, I am very pleased with Sweetpea Sue.

The measurements are listed, but for the 'large' stuffed animal, it was smaller than I expected.

The details are cute. She is in her nightgown, just like in the show. She has a ribbon at the top of her nightgown, ribbon for her mane and a little ribbon tail under her gown. She has a little Pajanimals patch on her gown.

One reviewer mentioned that she doesn't look like Sweetpea Sue. I would have to disagree. We watch the show every night and I think she looks just like her.

She has an open mouth with an attached tongue & 2 cute little felt teeth hanging down. She is not a puppet, but a traditional plush.

Overall, I am pleased, although, for the money, I would have liked her to be a little bigger. A Pajanimals fan will love them. My daughter has slept with her everyday since she got her.
