Sckoon Organic Cotton Skinny Rabbit Doll (stuffing is organic, too!)
Buy Sckoon Organic Cotton Skinny Rabbit Doll (stuffing is organic, too!) Now
I love to order bunnies for babies because my son became attached to one at the age of three months, and still has it stuffed in a dresser drawer, even at 17. I'm very particular about the shapes and fabrics, though. This bunny seemed to fit the bill, but when it arrived, it turned out to be much smaller than I had anticipated. I'm sure the fault is mine, as I had read a zillion product descriptions by the time I found it, but I wish it were bigger, the better to cuddle. Otherwise, it's terrific: soft, safe, and a potentially perfect companion--at least for awhile.Read Best Reviews of Sckoon Organic Cotton Skinny Rabbit Doll (stuffing is organic, too!) Here
This is the perfect companion for my baby who is 4 months. She smiles at her and I feel safe when she put it in her mouth because it is organic. Bonus that it is washable. I think it is just so cute and simple for my sweet sweet girl. We love it.Want Sckoon Organic Cotton Skinny Rabbit Doll (stuffing is organic, too!) Discount?
This doll is such a hit that we had to name her "Bonnie Bunny" and my 8 month is always holding (and chewing) her. I love that she is non-toxic and easy to wash in the machine and air dry.Friday, July 25, 2014
Tonka Wheel Pals Triple Track Tower
The cars seem very durable. They are a softer plastic (but not too squishy) and have nice big wheels. They're a perfect size for 2 year old hands to hold onto and push around.
You can turn the sound off, which is a nice feature a lot of toys seem to forget to add these days. The tracks also seem durable. They are "connected" at the top and the bottom of the ramps so we have not had any ramps coming loose and frustrating my son.
Overall, a very simple toy but it has bright cheery colors and it's very toddler friendly. Even my 4 and 8 year olds are trying to take it over to play it and have races. I think it's a sure hit for any child and it has a very attractive price.Cute concept just a little boring. My son is 22 months old and plays with it for about 2 minutes and then is done. The race is over almost as quickly as pushing the button.
ON A AGGRAVATING NOTE: This is the Wheel Pals race track and NOT ONE of the WHEEL PALS work on it. Hasbro/Tonka has made the race cars smaller than the little wheel pals so when your child tries to race the other Wheel pals he or she has on this track they won't work. What a racquet!!

I bought this for my son hoping and praying I wouldn't waste the money because he gets more enjoyment out of movies and household objects. Well, it was money worth spent. He has played with it everyday and loves to watch the cars race down the track. He also loves the fact that he is the one who makes them go. He is tickled by the noises it makes.Read Best Reviews of Tonka Wheel Pals Triple Track Tower Here
to your nearest Wal-mart and purchase this for your toddler. There is a $5.00 coupon on every box that expires this summer. This toy is in the must have category. I have so much fun racing cars on this tower with my son. We have had it for a month and he still loves it. The cars roll super easy and you can even buy another set of cars for variety. Just a great little set for 10 bucks.Want Tonka Wheel Pals Triple Track Tower Discount?
My son really enjoys this toy. I've also found the Hot Wheels/Matchbox style cars work superbly on the tracks. Smaller car lengths work better than longer styles. Some of them really zoom across hard wood floors (much farther than the included cars). My boy gets a hoot out of that.Actually purchased at Kmart for $12.99. I'm happy with my purchase.

Haba Bath Book Mermaid
Buy Haba Bath Book Mermaid Now
I usually love Haba toys and have bought many for my 9 month old daughter. If I had seen this in person, I would never have bought it. The edges of the book are sharp and it just seems cheap. This is the second HABA bath book that we own (we also have the frog book). My 11 month old daughter loves opening the HABA books and she spends more time looking at the pictures in these books than her non-bath books (because she's a little calmer and less mobile in the bath tub). It is true that the HABA books don't have words, but at this age we just name the pictures and talk about what the mermaid or the frog are doing. Books without words are great for expanding your child's imagination (you can make up a different story every night)!Tuesday, April 8, 2014

Little Tikes 5-in-1 Adjustable Gym
We first got this as a gift from a relative for our son, who was 3 months old at the time. He could barely reach it while lying on his back. Kind of disappointing, but propping him up closer with layers of blankets underneath him did the trick. It wasn't his most favorite toy, but it kept him busy for couple hours each day.
Then he got big enough to crawl, so we adjusted the gym for his size. Still not his most favorite toy, but still played with it for an hour or two each day.
Then he's 9 months old. We adjusted the gym once again. While his other expensive toys came and went as he outgrew them, the baby always seemed to go back to this gym. It just looks new to him each time it is reconfigured into a different way.
Then he's a year old, and could sit. We adjusted the gym to become a sitting bench area for him, and he would sit on it for half an hour at times. Not his most favorite toy, but still very useful and kept him busy, especially if he wanted to play with a toy on the flat side of the reversible tabletop.
Now he's almost 1.5 years old. Most of his toys received as an infant were packed away or given away because he outgrew them, but not this Old Reliable still going strong and still sits at the center of his playpen.
So yes, it's not the most entertaining toy or the next Tickle Me Elmo, but I don't know of a single other toy that could be used from the day a baby's born until he's 2 or 3, do you? For $35, that is an amazing value, and that's why this product should deserve nothing less than 5 stars for all the mileage you can get out of it. All these other low reviews only reflect a snapshot of time, such as when it is first purchased, and not how it fares well over the years.

When my oldest wasw younger I had a similar item that made noise and lit up when he kicked it, this however does not compare. One kick and the Gym is out of reach and it didn't even activate the lights. Waste of money, very disappointed and i wished i had purchased the first item I considered rather than going with this.I have been wanting to write a review about this product for so long, but didnt know where to start. We bought this 2 years back, when our daughter was 6 months old, and she has been in love with this product even since. Little Tikes has been her companion from infancy to toddlerhood and she loves to spend time with it even today. Total value for money.Saturday, March 22, 2014

My nephew ADORES this toy. He's nearly 9 months now, and he loves pushing and pulling at it, turning it inward and outward and so-forth.Like someone else mentioned, Adults like this one, too. If my nephew isn't playing with it, my sister is, or my mother is, or I am.Although this was purchased for our 8 month old, kids of all ages (adults too) find this toy to be very interesting. It's a fabulous teething toy as well as offering manipulative activity.
Another favorite HABA toy for this age are the Discovery Blocks!

Elegant Baby Oversized 8" Polka Dot Rubber Duckie
When it arrived, I was shocked at how big it is! It's amazing looking, though. Very well made and very unique. I can see where a baby or toddler would really love it.
One thing, though. It does have a small opening so if you squeeze it, it makes noise. The downside to that, I feel, is that it will take on water in the bathtub. And given that it's such a small opening, I can see where the water would be retained. This might prove to be a germ problem down the line. So, if you plan to use it in the bathtub, I'd recommend plugging up the hole with some elastic caulking, the kind that shrinks to fit.
Otherwise, this is adorable and the price is good.My daughter loves this duck! She keeps trying to ride it in the tub. It's huge! Getting the water out of it is dang near impossible. Hope it doesn't mold on the inside.

Fisher-Price Bright Beginnings Activity Walker
I saw some reviews on the musical version of this toy where some said that the toy was not good for kids pulling up to standing. My son weighed about 20 lbs when he first got it and never had any issues pulling up. The toy never fell over from his weight. My husband rarely cares about reviews, but he read the review with me when there was only one review for this (5-star at the time) and was sold on buying it. At first, I have to admit that I was disappointed when I unpacked it. It is very lightweight; it's all pretty thin plastic on the whole toy. The picture made it seem like the part with the 'toys' on it was heavy enough to weigh the whole thing down. It's pretty much just a shell, with a few gadgets attached.
When we bought it our child was about 7 months old, and loved crawling. When we tried the walker, our son really needed to put his weight on whatever was holding him up when he wanted to practice walking. So, when we first tried the walker with him, it would have toppled right over (with him) if both us hadn't either been holding our son or the toy. It's definitely not made to be heavily leaned upon by someone with wobbly legs.
We helped our son practice using the walker practically all the time, even though I thought the toy was far too light to ever be a support. It actually became useful in stages. At first, our son was increasingly able to hold his own weight, standing, which is what made the walker increasingly usable. The walker was a little more useful when he could stand well, but the 'toys' on it were totally uninteresting. (At least it's a quiet toy that doesn't need batteries.) Then, he could pretty much take one or two steps with the walker, on his own. Finally, one evening he just crawled to the walker and ran down the hall with it. It was quite a shock because when he pulled himself up, I thought he was going to fall over with the toy. (We'd always held the toy steady for him, up to that point.) I was only a few feet away watching him before I realized he wanted to stand up, but by the time I got up and took two steps to go help him, he'd already started running down the hall with it. (After I recovered my jaw, I woke my husband to see the surprise.)
I'd say if you're interested in just getting something to help your child transition to walking on his/her own, this toy serves its purpose. Your child should probably be steady on his/her feet, meaning pretty much able to stand steadily. Early on, when he'd adjusted to using it, my husband and I still spent a lot of time holding the toy with him because his leaning on it made it roll quite quickly (the wheels are just as thin and lightweight as the rest of the toy.)
If you're like I was, and are looking for a walker that can double as a toy for a baby to play with while sitting, get something else. (I didn't invest much time looking into walkers because we have no stairs to worry about and have mostly carpet floors; so I can't make a specific, alternative suggestion.) It works very well on carpet, by the way. Regular floors, keep an eye on the little one driving.
Personally, I'd hoped it would be a multi-purpose toy (based on the picture), having little things on top of it to play with, but the widgets just flip like pages or spin. In the end, though, our son didn't really need us to invest a lot in a walker because the transition was about a month or two, then he wanted to take steps on his own and didn't want the toy to help him anymore. He pretty much stopped using it after he started practicing on his own.
We bought this when it was about $20, I think. (I'd spent so much on other toys I didn't have much left to invest in a walker at the time.) In hindsight, I'm glad I didn't spend a lot on this kind of toy. Really, it's not necessary to spend more than $20 on a push walker anyway. I definitely wouldn't buy this particular walker for more than $20 or $25. By the time children get the hang of walking with the help of a toy, they will probably just want to try walking on their own, one step at a time.
By the way, I rated this toy 5 stars because my husband specifically asked me to write a review for this (of all the toys I bought on Amazon) and to rate it 5 stars. I love him, he thought the toy was great, and my son's a champion at walking now, so, here's 5 stars. Cheers.

Ok! so we all love fisher price and I was excited to get a walker for my son I bought it for him when he was 10 months old and we have had it for one month now. It looks great in the picture BUT its EXTREMELY light weight... DO NOT BUY THIS!!! its not meant to work as a walker... when the kid tries to stand up the toys falls over, the kid falls over, and he or she gets hurt. again its very light weight and cheap... you are better off getting something heavy and durable... my son tries to stand up with this toy to practice and he falls over... the toy cant hold the childs weight... and my son is not over weight or fat... just a normal 11 month old baby!Read Best Reviews of Fisher-Price Bright Beginnings Activity Walker Here
My daughter got this toy as a gift when she was 6 months old. Before she could walk we used it as an activity center and she would crawl up the face and flip the items. I used the little animal flip tabs to teach her what sounds each animal makes.Once she began standing she used it as a walker. She is now 3 and her 8-month-old brother has taken it over. He loves spinning the wheels and playing with the activities. The toy looks like new even though we have used it outside on the driveway as well as in the house. Soon he'll be ready to stand and use it. I love this toy.

I took this out of the box and my 7 month old baby was trying to scale me to get to it. I had to wrestle him away just so I could put the stickers on. Once I gave it to him, he attacked it viciously and played with it a good half an hour without pause. When he did pause, it was only to crawl across the floor and back to it. The only issue I have with it so far is that we have hardwood floors and he wants to stand all the time while holding on to things (though nowhere near steadily enough to use it in walker mode). He likes to lean over it, holding himself up with one hand and standing on his feet while he plays with the toys on it with his free hand. Because the wheels do not lock and we have hardwood floors, it tends to slide out from under him. In that half an hour, he fell about 7 times.HOWEVER... I'm not one of those mums who sheds a tear whenever my LO falls on his backside or gets a tiny bump on the head. It's a good learning experience for him to fall down now and then, even if it does upset him. It's certainly not the toy's fault that he wants to play with it in such a position but it WOULD be nice if locking the wheels was an option. I'll probably just use something to jam them until he's old enough to walk with it.
He LOVES it. Therefore, I'm pretty fond of it too.
