We bought one of these (in store) floats. My son was a bigger boy for his age (30lbs at 1yr) and we kept having problems with all the other plastic floats with canopies, so we went and bought this exact float. It is totally worth the money. The net lining is awesome and its way more durable than other floats! 100% recommend this float!

I don't know why someone would rate it one star based on their bad luck with design that is the sellers fault not the actual product.

If your child is very young, small, and flails about harmlessly, this is for you. If your kid is abnormally large, independent, and strong, you're better off with floaties or they will work their way out of it and getting them back into it is like trying to push a cat into a toilet. Quality is great, it has held its air in the trunk of the car for 2 seasons now and cushions whatever cargo we put back there.

We used this in the pool and our grandson really enjoyed the shade and the floating. Our only concern was he sat low enough in the water to dip his face into the water for a "drink" and quickly discovered inhaling water isn't fun! Easy to inflate and set-up, a bit of a pain to take down and return to the carry bag. As advertised and seems sturdy enough for several pool seasons.

My mother in law purchased this for our 6 month old. He is about 26 in long, if he were smaller he wouldn't have been able to sit in it yet and be high enough above the water. He has loved baths since the first one and we wanted to introduce him to the pool as soon as possible. He loved floating around, and was able to kick himself around to move between us. The shade worked really well without blocking our view of his face. He liked that he was able to splash a little in the mesh between the floats. That was also a great place to put his toys within his reach. Recommend as a good way to help introduce a baby to the water.

This float is horrible! The canopy was so hard to fold back up and put in the carrying case it comes with. We must have done it wrong because it never fit quite right on the float again. The float was also disappointing. It doesn't keep baby upright so my 11 month old kept leaning forward & his face kept ending up in the water. Waste of $. We ended up getting the Aqua Leisure Frog with Sunshade and Aquarium Baby Float, which was only $11. My son loves it and it keeps him up right so he's not swallowing pool water.

Jellycat Bashful Tiger 12"

My son got this as a gift when he was born and it's been his favorite toy ever since! It's long, so it's perfect for him to grab and hold (and hug!). He smiles every time we bring "Tabby", as we call her, out to play. And now that he's teething, he can chew on her ears. A must have for your babe. Sadly, the rest of his stuffed animals are just ignored, but this tiger is a hit!!

Today I am the best boyfriend in the world because my girlfriend's stuffed tiger came in the mail!

This guy has an expressive face, a cute tail, a big belly, and it is just the right weight and texture to be cuddle-able. It is well-made and looks great.

I'm going to be sharing this with my other mommy friends because I know many little people who need something to do while sitting on mommy's lap! There are great little toys to keep them occupied (each with a different feature -vibrations, crinkle sounds, mirror, etc) and the ipad/ipod slots are valuable if there's a game or movie that the little one likes. I like these because the pictures are big and colorful to grab a young toddler's or preschooler's attention! I practice my own version (much cheaper and easier) of" my baby can read" program. It's a basic concept. You show them the cards (try only 4 at a time for younger kids) and mention the name then repeat over and over again while they play on and off a little every couple of hours. Then after a few times say "where is the ____?" and see if they point to it. If they don't help them point to it and say the word. Within a few days they will learn those words. At first yes its memorization like with everything else they learn. Then if you bring those words into context like pointing and saying the word of it in books, the kitchen, store ect. Its learning and fun.

Fisher-Price Go Baby Go! Press And Crawl Turtle

DS likes to grab the top of it and push it around on the floor as he crawls. If he pushes the "button" on the top while he's playing with it on carpet it won't move. The device that turns the wheels doesn't build-up enough power to move over basic, builders grade carpet. So, yes, he'll play with it and crawl around with it, but he can't chase something that isn't zooming away from him as intended.

I got this toy for my then 6 month old daughter. She didn't play with it at all when I first got it but then as she was learning to crawl I figured I would give it another try. Like some of the other reviews said the toy does not move well on carpet and the button is extremely difficult to push down. My daughter is now 10 months and still can not push the button down to make it move so I end up having to do it. I myself find it difficult to push and it does not go very far. My daughter does watch as it moves but loses interest after that.

My daughter likes to walk around after the turtle. It goes great on hardwoods, but not very far on the carpet. The button is pretty hard to push, so she smack at it, but we have to push it for her to get it to really go. She seems to love it though, it's always one of the first toys she grabs out of the toy chest.

BuckleyBoo Turtle

I got my daughter the turtle after she had mastered all the buckles on the Buckleyboo cat. This seemed to be a little more complicated so I thought we would give it a try. She LOVED it! Not only is the turtle adorable with a big wobbly head but she can store other toys in the backpack shell. This is a great extension to the other buckleyboo animalsI think you need to be a little older for the turtle, it is a little more complicated but another great toy.

I ordered this because my daughter (22 months) loves buckles and turtles what could be better? But I would have been *much* better off getting the more traditional buckleyboo toy, as the turtle's backpack actually comes off when unbuckled and it is nearly impossible for her to match up the correct buckles even if I'm sitting there with her holding the backpack on the turtle. Maybe she'll be able to successfully play with this toy in the future, but she probably won't be that into buckles for terribly long. (but she's my first, so maybe the buckle phase lasts longer than I imagine...?)

In general, this toy was ill-conceived, and I can't even return it because I threw away the clear plastic bag that it came in. I rarely buy something new for my daughter (I buy a lot of her toys at yard sales) and this total waste of money makes me ill.

Their ridiculous return policy (purchased from the company directly) and the poor design of this toy caused me to rate this product with only one star.

Melissa & Doug Princess Soft Toys Longfellow Duck

This is my 22 month old's favorite toy! It is soft, floppy, and very fun to snuggle. She actually stole it from a 10 year old's toy box and wouldn't give it up. Duckie goes everywhere with her, sleeps with her, and "eats" what she eats. Did I mention it launders well? She recently forgot it at the babysitter's, and she spent the weekend roaming our house calling for Duckie disconsolately. So now I am buying a second one to keep her happily entertained at all times :^)

My little man is 2, and I got this ducky for him for Easter a year ago. He is still holding up, and my LO loves to snuggle him at night since he is long. He really doesn't care about stuffed animals, but he loves his ducky!

Careplay Ride-On Play Critter

I got this toy for my 11 month old daugther to help improve her walking. She will not sit in her walker so I thought this would be more fun for her. She did learn fast how to push herself in it (it took her a few days) she likes to push it more than ride it, but it goes to fast for her to push it alone so I have to hold her hand. I looked for a lot of walking/riding toys and most seemed flimzy or not study enough, but this riding toy is pretty sturdy. It's kind of a low to the ground toy. My daugther just turned one and she's already getting too tall for it (her feet drag when she tries to push it, but she is a little taller than average).

We got this for our 15 month old son this past Christmas. I wanted a push/ride toy for him to have on our patio outside since we don't have a yard and we live in a small apartment. I wanted one that wouldn't get water inside all the parts and that would hold up to weather and abuse. This was perfect. It is well made with big wheels and a wide enough base that I have never had to worry about it toppling over on him. It requires no assembly, which is an added bonus. It doesn't have all the gizmos and features as a lot of other similar toys but that was actually part of the appeal to me. Overall, I am happy we went with this product.

I love this ride-on toy. I had been looking around in target, toys r us etc for a simple ride-on, but they all had really fancy expensive things. This one is great. Inexpensive, simple and very sturdy, and my 18 month old loves scooting around on it on the deck. It's only weakness is that it doesn't really steer, but she figured out pretty quickly to just get off and move it when she runs into something. It seems more or less unbreakable to me, and totally weatherproof. I definitely recommend it for entertaining active toddlers.

This is a very sturdy toy for a 1 year old who is not yet walking stably. It is made of very thick plastic and does not tip over like most plastic toys do. My daughter is able to sit in it and have her feet touch the floor and also push it as well. She actually likes to sit backwards, facing the higher end and it's still comfortable for her and she likes to push both ends and it works fine either way. We use this at a community center in our neighborhood and they only have quality toys there. I also see older kids (2-3) play with it, too. If I had a large backyard, I would totally get this! I highly recommend it.

My son's pre school has CarePlay riding toys and he loved them when he was 2-3. One day when his little sister, who was not quite one,was visiting school she fell in love with the purple puppy and wouldn't stop pushing it around. The school administrator saw how much fun she was having and let us take one home to use until I could buy one for her. We have now had the toy for a few months and she still plays with it every day. It is mad of thick strong plastic and judging from the toys at my son's school weathers well and stands up to a lot of use.

My son is 7 months old and really enjoys these shakers.

Pros:

Each makes a different sound.

Durable and easy to clean.

Keeps my son's attention for a while.

Can be used as characters in imaginary play with blocks for older children.

Cons:

Some of the green coloring comes off with continued use. (I would still purchase again despite this.)

Younger infants may have a hard time gripping or picking these up. My son had difficulty at first but got the hang of it quickly.

I'm not sure how long my son will want to play with these.

Overall, I am pleased with this toy and would recommend this toy to others.

They're cute, clean and simple. My son carries them around and noms on them happily. I plan on gifting a set as soon as possible!

These things are adorable! They weigh less than I thought they would, but as soon as I set them down in front of my six month old son, he grabbed one, started shaking it, and put it in his mouth. Each one makes a slightly different sound, so it's fun for him to shake them. The light weight makes them easier for him to throw or push off of stuff, which means I have to pick them up for him constantly, but he likes them and that's what matters. They also got here super fast!

Shelcore Sound Beginnings Groove 'N Go Band Wagon

I received this as a gift for my daughter. She is 11 months old! She enjoys it but it does do some odd things.

This biggest gripe I have about this toy is that handle hits the on/off switch and turns it off way too easily. I have to stay with her to keep turning it on. I don't mind because I am a stay at home mom of one, so she gets 100% of me all the time!

It does some quirky things with the music. They way it plays the music, it stops and starts in different parts and changes songs mid song. I expected the piano keys to play like a piano, but they start different songs, playing only part of the song. If you hit the keys again, the song continues. While the song is playing, the piano keys work as a piano. It is very odd! There is a little disc you spin to make a scratching sound like a DJ would do. I think they could have used the space for a better feature there! I am not sure if replacing the batteries would make anything change in the music department. It came with batteries in it and, as with all toys, they may not be great batteries.

The volume is really low when it is on carpet as the speaker is on the bottom. I can imagine if it was on tile or hardwood, it would be pretty loud. There is no volume control.

Other interesting things about this: The stickers on it were already slightly peeling on the edges when it arrived. Fingers can easily get slammed when the handle falls down. It rolls pretty fast, even on carpet, but this has not been a problem for her as she can keep up with it. My daughter is really gentle so pushing the buttons isn't too easy for her. She likes to be dainty and use one finger! My daughter loves the little instruments that came with it!

All in all, she is having fun with it and that is all that matters. She is 11 months and doesn't even notice the things I do! So as long as she likes it, it works for me. In my eyes, I just think it could have been better!

I purchased this product for my 10-month old along with several other musical toys. While I like the concept of a "guitar"-shaped musical toy combined with a pull-toy, this product compares very poorly with the others I purchased.

The primary problem is that the speaker is on the bottom of the toy. This gives very little volume to the music and it also sounds very muffled. In my opinion, the designer didn't give much credit to actually HOW the music sounds.

We've played with this toy maybe twice. My frustration with it grows higher every time I pull it out. It was a waste of my money.

Stick with Leapfrog products. They're great!

got this for my daughter who is 8 months for christmas she loved it!! the only thing i would change is if you could lock the wheels some how so it doesn't move, and then unlock when you want it to move.

This teether is very functional. Just the right size for 6mo to hold and shake, and place in her mouth. The little indentations work great to fit around her mouth just where her teeth will be. I put mine in the freezer before handing to her and it seems to work fine so far. The silicone is getting a little stinky like the freezer but not too bad.

This teether is baby girl's favorite. She also likes that it is also a rattle. I would prefer if I knew if I could put it into the microwave sanitizer. Right now I just wash with hot, soapy water.

I may get a backup one.

She is almost instantly absorbed in chewing on it, turning it in her hands and then chewing on a different part of it. We have two in case we lose one. I like that it isn't plastic, not that she doesn't have twenty other things that are plastic. But, hey, one less plastic toy.

My aggressive one year old teether enjoys this teether. It's easy to put on a strap for him to grab and he gnaws on it happily, however, I just like being able to put items in a dishwasher and I can't with this one. It's understandable but inconvenient.

Other than that, 4 stars :).

Infantino Wrist Rattles - Lamb and Bear

These are great, and my son loves to make sounds with them when he plays, but the velcro is a little loose and they fall off easily. I also wish the strap was a little longer to accommodate larger wrists.

Offered this as a gift and the little boy really loved it. It kept his attention for quite a while, and it even made him smile from time to time. Also the baby's mother is Spanish, and totally appreciated that the toy teaches both in English and Spanish. It helps her teach her son some words and numbers in her native language.

It was definitely a good buy. The parents were impressed, as it quickly became one of the baby's favorite toys.

Taggies Big Soft Blocks

It's a nice soft toy for younger kids. Each of the blocks has something different such as a ring or a "mirror" along with different animals. However our do not stack as shown in the picture. They are soft which is a good thing but it also means that it can be crushed pretty easily which is not a problem until the corners get bent in. When that happens, the cubes do not return to their original shape by themselves but rather must be pulled back into shape which generally works but must be done by a parent.

Taggies big soft blocks. My 6 moonth old Granddaughter loved these blocks (so did my nine year old West Highland White Terrier). They have little tags everywhere and are very tactile as well as cute animal designs. They are very well made and will last a long time. The fun animal designs will be more interesting as baby gets older.

My 9 month old loves tags and strings that stick out from anything. So I thought these taggies blocks would be great for him. The blocks are colorful and each block has different tags and strings and crinkles and jingles. Absolutely adorable! You can hang them in your stroller to keep them busy.

Disney Baby Squirt Amazing Animals

Other than this toy being cute it really cute this toy really doesn't interest my 11-mo old. I wish it giggled or lit up or something as my daughter has no interest in playing with a big hard plastic toy at this age. May be better for a 3+ yr old that would use this as a character in role-play, but for a young child there isn't much going for it and wish there was more.

After recieving this from her grandmother, my almost-10-month-old was interested in this for less than a minute. Squirt has big eyes, so he's cute and you can use him to teach baby to locate eyes but, other than that...not a lot going on here. The flippers all adjust with a ratcheting, clicking noise. My baby was unimpressed. According to the description, Squirt also does something when you shake him, but ours must have been broken. Final verdict: not even worrth packing home.
