Kathe Kruse 74171 Rainbow Baby Blue Grabbing Ring Doll

Kathe Kruse 74171 Rainbow Baby Blue Grabbing Ring DollNOT 100% cotton, says polyester right on the tag. Toy is tiny for the price. My son could care less about it (I keep trying) and far prefers other things for teething. This is overpriced misrepresented crap in my opinion. Total rip off.

Kathe Kruse toys are great. My daughter loves the doll. It has a great clutching ring and must taste good because she seems to love holding it and chewing on it. Toy still looks new although a bit slimy. I bought a pink one as a gift. Great shower gift.

I was looking for some "green" toys shortly after my son was born and stumbled aross Kathe Kruse's Ring dolls. At first my son was not that interested in it, but as he got older he liked to chew on the ring and on the doll itself. Now that he is 14 mos. old, sometimes he grabs the doll by the head and brings him in the car or totes the doll other places. Very cute and durable first toy for a baby.

This toy is just not that interesting to my 4 month old. It seems overpriced for being just a piece of cloth with a wooden ring. Maybe he will like it more as he gets older.... It is awfully cute though.

Discovery Exclusive Ann B. Dextrous™ Motor Developer

Discovery Exclusive Ann B. Dextrous™ Motor DeveloperI bought this toy for my 4 month old daughter. I loved the fact that it grows with the baby. So far my daughter and my 2 year old son LOVE this toy. It is not hard to change the levels for each of them or they can both play with it at any level. My son does try to pry the shapes out when it is set at level one and they are locked into place. So I usually change the level for him. He gets alot of enjoyment out of making the top pop up and taking the shapes out. My infant loves to roll around on the floor and bat around at this toy and see the lights and music. This toy is unlike anything I have ever seen. It is a very nice toy! The music is nice and volume adjustable. The volume control is very nice because my son or daughter cant adjust it themselves so it stays at a desirable level. The lights are pleasing to look at and the music and sounds are very cool. I highly recommend this toy!

We got this gift as a Christmas present for our 16-month-old. It's a little bit too much blink and noise, I think, for what it actually is. The separate stages are nice, but he's not interested in the one for his age. You hear instructions for what color to press; when you press all the items of the right color the head pops up. He likes to push the head down again but it gets old just choosing red, blue, green, or yellow. It also seems to suck battery power like you wouldn't believe. What my 16-month-old, "stage 3" baby likes best, though, is the stage 1 setting for teeny babies (and not because he doesn't get it--he's a boy genius, of course). When you press or manipulate the gadgets, they light up but they also trigger tunes. He likes to set off the songs and then dance to them. That seems to be way more exciting than the "games" deemed age-appropriate. I am perfectly happy having him play with it just for the music and it does take up less space in a room than other musical toys he has

We are expecting a new baby in a few months, so it is a good toy to have on hand for two children. It powers itself off, it's pretty, and the knobs and manipulative parts are very colorful and fun to manipulate. I think it's better for younger kids. I don't see the purpose of the older stages beyond teaching colors, and the flashing lights, sounds, and computerized voice aren't the best teachers for that. Your child probably already learned how to pull, push, turn, flip, and practice other motor skills on household items anyway.

I have this at home for a little over a month, I bought this when my daughter was a little over 3 months. She first was fascinated by the lights and the music. Now I can see her trying out the various challenges, moving the wheel, pushing the buttons. Other mothers who come home like this toy and so do their kids.

Our 5 month old loves this toy now, but at 4 months he only played with one "pod" the spin and turn one to be exact. The others were a little to difficult for his tiny, shaky, uncoordinated hands. He also would lose interest because he was unable to sit up and play on his own. He'd lay next to it and bat at things but sometimes this wasn't enough to get the toy started. If we assisted in the sitting up and playing he would kick, Kick, KICK the toy. Also the wobble doesn't work well on soft surfaces like carpet. But he's learning right before our eyes. AMAZING to see every week he learns to use something else. He started to play with the flip and switch "pod" this weekend and finally learned to push things on the push and pull "pod". My husband and I are excited to watch what comes next...A little pricey (purchased with a gift card) but so far worth it.

My son received this as a gift when he was 4 months old. At 2 1/2, he still loves playing it. The stages allow for develpment as the baby gets older. My son has some developmental delays so we loved the option to change the settings as needed. We just bought this as a gift for our friend's baby. The only problem we had was with the 4 blocks on top. In the later stages they come out and my son lost them, probably in the trash! Other than that, its a great toy.

Lights & Sounds Butterfly

Lights & Sounds ButterflyWe have a 25 year old profoundly retarded (and that's a perfectly good word!) son who loves things he can push and get music from. Normally I check to make sure that no matter how often he pushes a button -and it is often repeatedly -the tune will continue playing until done. But this little butterfly doesn't. If he pushes it once, the tune plays, and then pushes it again, it stops. At first he threw it down in disgust (it withstood that treatment beautifully) and then picked it up again and tried again. For him, it may well be educational as it may teach him to wait for the song to finish before pushing again. For Chris, that would be a major learning thing. We have a lovely little granddaughter of about a year old, however, who finds it boring already. All you do is push the button and lights and music come on, play, and stop. You push again and the same thing happens again. For Chris, this is great. For our granddaughter, she's already past it at a year.

YOU MUST KNOW THIS! My 7 month old daughter got this in a family Christmas stocking recently. She likes this toy but within a few hours of having it the paint on the antenna of the butterfly began to peel/chip off (she has 6 teeth and may have bitten it off). I can not let her play with it anymore because of swallowing the hard paint chips... very disappointing because it is a cute toy.

this toy keeps my daughter entertained for a while. She loves touching and playing with the colors and lights. it really catches her attention. perhaps a few things: I wish it had a volume control, the bow could be a little larger, although the current size makes babies focus on small things more when they have to look for them. The toy is well made and safe. My daugther bangs the heck out of it and it hasn't broken yet.

Haba Jonathan the Rattling Caterpillar

Haba Jonathan the Rattling CaterpillarMy two month old is very intrigued by this toy. If she's fussy, making the discs clap together will distract her. I can't wait until she is older and can make them clap on her own. I like the quality of the wooden toys, and the finish is awesome. I buy this toy for my friends when they have kids!

My seven-month old and I both love the Rattling Caterpillar! It is adoreable and clearly durable, and my daughter loves to grab it, bite it, and rattle it. I love that it can be attached to her stroller with the elastic loop on top, so she can let it go without it crashing to the ground. Highly recommended!

I love that this toy is made w/ non-toxic paint. It's very cute and I'm sure will be very durable. The string that holds it all together is elastic...so when you pull on the ring on the bottom, the little pieces click & clack together. The red loop on the top looks like it will be able to stretch and attach to anything (car seat, stroller, etc.) Nothing fancy just a simple, cute toy.

This is a petite toy. Perfect for little hands to grasp and manipulate. The colors are vivid and attention grabbing. My little one likes to gnaw the ring. The loop at the top can be attached to whatever baby is in so it doesn't fall on the floor. The cord is elastic, so pulling on it is also a bit of fun as it gives and takes. Every piece is movable and shaking it will result in a clacking noise that isn't loud, but does let baby know that shaking gets results.

This is one of my new favorites! I bought the green toy clip to clip it to my son's car seat. The colors are vibrant, and the sounds the wooden pieces make when it's yanked on are pleasant. Everybody stops to admire it and asks where we bought it. It clips anywhere so it's secure and we don't have to worry about losing our precious Haba toy!

Leapfrog Learning Baby Tad

Leapfrog Learning Baby TadI love the daytime and nighttime options. It makes a great transition tool for trying to wean my son because while nursing at night, I would play the nighttime music until he would fall asleep. Now, I can just play the music and he can fall asleep without me having to nurse him. I know when he wakes up in the morning because I can hear him playing with Tad in his crib, and I can get him before he gets upset and starts to cry. Very happy baby and mommy!

10th Anniversary Hug & Learn Baby Tad is both education, fun and not to mention affordable. Baby tad is recommended for children six months and up, though you may find yourself playing with it. The toy is soft and cuddly, so it makes a great toy to snuggle up with. Baby tad is light weight and easy to carry. There are no sharp edges on him like some education toys.

Press the right foot that reads clap and he identifies feet. ("We have two feet"). Press his right paw and he counts. Press his right foot that says "dance" and he says dance with me and sings songs your toddler can dance along to. Press his left hand and he identifies hands. "I have two hands just like you." Press the sun on his belly and the sun lights up and he sings a sunshine song. Press his belly and he giggles and identifies his belly. Press his belly again and he sings the alphabet. Press the moon and he switches from day to night. Sooth your baby to sleep with songs like "Twinkle Twinkle little star."

When your child no longer plays with "Baby tab" he will say Bye-bye and automatically shut-off to save your battery. The toy is a great size for hugging and playing. I found Hug and Learn Baby Tad engaging and would highly recommend it to those with children eight months and up. Leap frog recommends this product for those six months and up. A baby at six months may have trouble pushing some of the buttons.

Buy Leapfrog Learning Baby Tad Now

Bought this toy for my 6 month old from target.

He's loud enough to distract any crying baby during a meltdown in the store. When you press his chest then his hand you he plays 'night-night' music starting with a woman singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and then goes to classical music. You press his hand once, 'five minutes to night-night', you press again 'ten minutes to night-night'. Which worked so great on the car rides home from dinner at grandma's house. My husband is deployed so there wasn't anyone to keep him company in the back, and with tad he was usually always fast asleep within minutes. He sings songs about toes and clapping hands as well. Changing from clapping hands between once or five times, like a surprise every time you press his hand. He laughs and dances. My son likes to bite on tads 'ear?' while he teethes. He's soft and you can't feel the battery box like some toys since this one is in the back with lots of padding.

cons: the only things I didn't like was how he can seem loud a times(no volume dial) when you just need him a little more quiet. His belly is so low that it seems like they labeled his crotch, 'belly' which i understand kids don't know any different at their age, but its still funny/strange to adults. Also, sometimes it's a little hard to press on a button because of all the padding (on hands/foot/belly/chest). Which is better I guess if I had to choose between durability/comfort (to not feel battery pack) and ease of use.

All in all, even my son is still not able to press the buttons with all the padding I still like this toy. There hasn't been an outing yet that hasn't saved me from those in-store meltdowns. I'm pretty sure its less stressful on everyone (child, parent, and strangers) have a loud toys rather than an unhappy little one.

I recommend you get this toy for anyone who's trying to keep outings as smooth as possible. It even distracted my 3 month old nephew from crying!

I had purchased several of the original Baby Tads as shower gifts over the years with rave reviews from the parents especially as part of a night-time or nap routine. When we were expecting, these had been discontinued but I was able to locate a French version. We were excited to see that there was a new English version available and quickly ordered it looking forward to the longer "minutes to night-night". Unfortunately, the music on the new tad starts with a song that has lyrics instead of just calming classical music and I don't believe the quality of the sound is the same. At this point, original Baby Tad (en francais) is used regularly and the new Tad is sitting on the sideline.

This is not nearly as nice or as educational as the old Baby Tad. The variety isn't there and there is no "off" button, and it doesn't give kisses, which my first son loved.

Munchkin Fun Ice Soothing Ring Teether, Colors May Vary

Munchkin Fun Ice Soothing Ring Teether, Colors May VaryAlmost every teether says that you cannot put it in the freezer (although most just ignore this and do it anyway) This is because they have water inside and when the water freezes hard, it expands and can damage the teether and/or cause leaking. I have just now found this teether and it has gel inside so it doesn't freeze hard. you can put it in the freezer and it gets super cold for your babies gums but not hard. And the box actually recommends use in the freezer. A "must have"---My little guy already has 6 teeth but he carries this thing around anyway.

We have the Munchkin Fun Ice hand shaped teether and my friend has this ring teether. It's a bit big yet for my 4 month old but I plan on getting one. Her one year old LOVES hers.

I have this fantasy though, that somewhere out there is a teether you can freeze but that has a detachable handle that's not frozen so they can hold it without getting too cold. Of course both parts would have to be safe (not choke hazards) on their own, thus clicking together in some clever way.

Our daughter is 4 months old and just started to grip things. This is a great teether because not only can she fit it in her mouth, but the shape makes it very easy for her to hold. Would definitely recommend!

Great you can freeze it, but baby doesn't like to hold it because his hands get very cold. We have another with three fingers on it and a plastic ring to hold much better.

Edushape Glow In The Dark Sensory Ball Green/Blue

Edushape Glow In The Dark Sensory Ball Green/BlueOur family has owned quite a few of these spikey balls and they are a never ending source of fun! When I saw this glow-in-the-dark one, I thought we just had to have it. It is the perfect size for my 15 month old as well as my 5 & 6 year olds (I think I need to order 2 more so there isn't anymore fighting!). As with all glow-in-the-dark products, you have to "charge" it by holding it up to a light source for a few seconds (the longer the better) for it to glow....but when you do, it surely is bbbbrrriiiiggghhhhttt!!!! And it stays that way for quite some time, long enough for my little one to fall asleep comfortably (I keep it next to his bed at night and it slowly dims as he falls asleep). It is super bouncy and has a valve for you to deflate or inflate as needed. My only gripe about it is how spikey the tips are on it...they are getting softer the more we play with it, but when we first got it...ouchy if it bumped your face!!

We ordered this item for our 15 month-old daughter. My problem is not so much with the toy itself, but the image used to advertise it. Initially we received a package with a ball inside that only filled up about 1/2 the packaging and was haphazardly taped around the outside, center of the box with clear packing tape. I immediately assumed someone returned the wrong size ball in the packaging to Amazon. I called and the people at Amazon were great. They did everything I could ask for including shipping out a new ball overnight and paying for the return shipping of the initial item. When the second ball arrived, it too was significantly smaller than the circular openings on the package. However, instead of a poor tape job holding the ball in, the entire package was placed in a generic zip-loc bag. I still feel that this is the wrong item it is clearly smaller than the ball shown in the image but my daughter won't know the difference at her age and she will probably enjoy the smaller ball even more. However, I will not buy another Edushape toy online again since I feel I will never really know what I'm going to get.

Buy Edushape Glow In The Dark Sensory Ball Green/Blue Now

I did read the reviews before purchasing this, so we did not expect it to be the size it is depicted. Yes, it did come in a ziploc bag and was fairly small, but ours was even smaller as it was mostly deflated when it arrived. I have no idea if it was deflated before they boxed, or if it was simply shoved in the very flat box it arrived in.

I was all ready to send this back when my husband suggested using a bike pump first. It worked like a charm. We were able to pump it up to the size it should have been to fit in the cardboard wrapper it arrived with. It still was not the size a child could sit on, but it seemed much more reasonable than what arrived. We ended up letting a bit of the air back out so it was spongier and easier to catch. In the 6 months we've had it, it has deflated somewhat again, but it seems to be the perfect kicking size for our toddler, so we've left it alone. Thankfully we know we can pump it up again when we need to.

It does glow in the dark for quite some time and if it weren't for the catching surface it could probably be used as a make shift night lite in bed for kids who just need it to fall asleep and not all night long. It might even work out of bed if it were close enough, as the glow is good but not so bright as to light from very far away.

I'm still not certain I could recommend this product, hence the three stars. Maybe if it was around seven or eight bucks it would be worth the hassle since the glow is fun and the nubbins on the outside make it so much easier for a toddler to catch.

Bought this for my 15 month old for Christmas and when it came in the ball was shipped in a gallon sized ziplock along with the package. The package was MUCH larger than the ball. I am not sure if the ball is supposed to be that small or if the package wasn't complete. The pictures on the side of the package has a 2 year old sitting on the ball. The ball we recieved couldn't even tolerate my normal sized 15 month sitting on it. Needless to say, I was VERY disappointed.

CoCaLo Dinos At Play Plush Dinosaur

CoCaLo Dinos At Play Plush DinosaurReally cute, got it as a gift for my friends new baby boy. When I received it there was glue on the top fin, looks like where they sealed the bag it was in. Not a huge deal, but a little disappointing.

We do not have this bedding set, but this particular dinosaur plush completes our nursery decor. It is about a foot tall with very plush velour material. The blue sections are a wide corduroy style fabric, also plush velour in feel.

It is a soft sherbet orange color with light blue accents. The colors will work nicely for a girl or boy. It is a wonderful toy/decoration for any child's room, infant or older.

It is well constructed and very soft. I could not be happier!

Lapiluv

LapiluvI'm going to be sharing this with my other mommy friends because I know many little people who need something to do while sitting on mommy's lap! There are great little toys to keep them occupied (each with a different feature -vibrations, crinkle sounds, mirror, etc) and the ipad/ipod slots are valuable if there's a game or movie that the little one likes. I definitely think my little guy sits better because he's been playing with this on my lap.

I got this today for my 10 week old, its very well constructed and i love the idea that he is facing me to play. We will have a 19 hour flight in a few day and i will write do a video review on my youtube channel msjifyournasty . If you want to see the product up close i did a product discovery video and then i BOUGHT the product

Very highly recommended if you have young children.

Melissa & Doug Toolbox Fill and Spill

Melissa & Doug Toolbox Fill and Spill2 granddaughters + 2 tool kits = two happy granddaughters.

I can't really rate the educational value until I see them framing a door or building a deck.

Melissa and Doug's Fill and Spill toolbox is a huge hit with both my granddaughter and grandson, 18 and 20 months of age, respectively. While the vibrating "power" drill was intriguing, they also enjoy "sawing" the Velcro-attached wood blocks apart and the other tools, too. I was very happy to find a safe and fun set of tools for young toddlers.

My son got this for his 1 year birthday. His favorite pieces are the screwdriver, saw and nails/screws. He will crawl around with them in his mouth and chew on the hard ends on the screwdriver and saw. My only concern is that the red die in the screw driver started to run and leak when he was drooling on the handle so I had to take it away.

We got this for my son's first birthday. The first kit had a drill that was broken (it didn't vibrate like it was supposed to), so we exchanged it for a second. My son LOVES to play with and chew on the various tools. The saw, hammer, ad screw driver are soft enough that he can play with them without our worries, but have a firm shape. He giggles every time we "screw in a screw" on his knee. He also loves the vibrating drill.

Gund Baby My First Backpack 6' Beige PlaysetI gave this toy to my little grandson when he turned one year, but he didn't really respond to it. Granted, he is only one year old and may develop some interest later, but I don't think it is colorful enough to grab attention. The toy looks brighter in the picture, then when you see it the product is a bit disappointing. Honestly I think this toy might appeal to an older child. As for durability, I don't know yet.

Developlay Activity Center

Developlay Activity CenterThis is one of our 16 month old son's favorite toys for the past year. We introduced it when he was less than 3 months old, when he would lie on his back and kick the moving parts, also lie on his tummy and look into the mirror. When he could sit up, we set the toy up like a table for him to play with. Now that he's walking, we have it hanging from a child gate, and he spends a lot of time playing with it standing up. Since the toy is two sided, he loves playing with both sides from opposite ends of the gate. The two sidedness was very useful when he was smaller, too we would flip it over every week or so, and he behaved like he was given a brand new toy every time. This, and the Munchkin Mozart Cube are two toys that he has played with every day without fail for over a year and our favorite gift to friends with newborns. I can't say enough good things about this toy. It's wonderful!

Son has since outgrown..but from a very young age loved playing with this, and as motor skills grew, the toy presented new opportunities. Feet are reversible, so one side is for really small kids and the other for older kids (up to around 3 and a half). Perhaps a little overpriced, but proved to be very durable.

Buy Developlay Activity Center Now

This toy has been great. The two sides offer a ton of different things my son can play with. He loves the little stuffed toy that pops out of the center and will open and close it's door for hours. It also offers different "activities" that infants can play with as they develop. My son would spend more time with one piece of the toy for awhile and as he got older would start playing with other pieces more. It definitely grows with them. My son is 11 months now and has been playing with this since about 5 months.

Read Best Reviews of Developlay Activity Center Here

This toy has both good and bad features. The colors and activities are good, but it would be nice to find a toy that does not have flashing lights. In low light, it's a strobe light and, in my opinion, too bright for any benefit gained. In fact, am wondering what the benefit really is in so many toys having the flashing light features....this seems to be the trend in toys available today. Anyone out there know the answer to this?

My daughter really enjoys this toy and plays with it every day. It seems like a simple toy, but that may be the best thing about it. I would say it is one of the best buys I made as far as baby toys. One thing I didn't expect were the great music buttons on the other side. That part of the center is sort of like a Mozart Music Cube, only better (even though there are only three instruments).

Edushape Animal Activity Bar

Edushape Animal Activity BarI like it, but it doesn't stay attached to the carseat very well. The clamps don't work that great. My baby is able to easily kick it off and detach it from the carseat. He is entertained by it though, and I like that I can attach many different toys to it. I don't regret buying it, but it's not as good as I thought it was going to be.

I really wanted this product to work for our baby equipment. They are so cute. I tried it on everything we had, but for one reason or anther, it didn't work. Part of the problem is with the hinges. After you set the clips in place and position the activity bar in the upright position, it doesn't stay in place well. Just a light tap and it falls down. I sent it back. I tried it on our Graco metro light infant seat and stroller. I also tried it on our Graco swing and two bouncy seats.

I love this activity bar!! It fits my graco snugride car seat great and the toys on it are so much cuter than the picture. Each toy makes a sound or moves and I love that I can add toys on the bar to change it up. I added some cute dangly toys that my baby loves! This makes car rides and shopping a breeze. Much better than other car seat bars I have used with previous babies!! A great purchase!

Little Tikes Discover Sounds Zoo Motion Cube

Little Tikes Discover Sounds Zoo Motion CubeThis toy is soooooo much fun! My 11 month old grandson plays with it forever. And he usually gets bored very easily with toys! The only thing that isn't such a great feature is that it goes through batteries pretty quickly. Just be sure to shut the toy off when not in use. I searched stores for this toy as I had seen it at a friend's house but couldn't find it anywhere! Not even at Toys R Us. It's a lot of fun to use and watch small children play with it. They don't know what to make of it.

Happi Tree Baby Shower Tri-fold Centerpiece

Happi Tree Baby Shower Tri-fold CenterpieceThis centerpise was excellent quality. i used it as the card and had all of the coworkers sign it so it would be a pretty centerpiece but also a keepsake

Went great with the congratulations banner and also the luncheon napkins. I used them all for my sister's baby shower and she loved them. Very cute theme.

I really liked the centerpiece. It was a nice unexpected decoration which I added in random places around the baby shower setup.

This Centerpiece is so cute, printed on both sides, and fairly sturdy. This was placed on the Gift Table at my Baby Shower, and as people entered and set down their gifts, they were asked to sign the Centerpiece with a small message for Mom and Baby. Now this cute lil thing is a keepsake for the Baby Book. Along with this piece, there are many more items that match, it is a cute and fun theme! I am "Happi" with all of the stuff I received from this collection.
