I wanted to get a pink snuffles for my newborn daughter... because I had one when I was little in the 80's! Her name was bubble gum, and she was thrown out by my parents due to a flood a couple years ago. I was so excited to find a brand new one on amazon... gund finally came out with pink again! It is super soft and adorable! Now my sweetie has her own bubble gum! (these are hard to find, especially in the large 9" size in pink)

Not complaining, just noting the difference. The plush is different, more washable though. . . I think the 'regular' plush would get goo'ed up quickly and be difficult to clean. . . so this makes sense they altered it a bit for baby.

We first found the Gund Snuffles 23 years ago at Sach's on Union Square. It was adorable. My daughter took it with her everywhere she went (and she's now 24). I was very excited to find it available online and ordered two as gifts. I couldn't believe what came out of the box. The workmanship and materials were so much less than I remember. Bright Starts Soothing Safari Mobile

I bought this mobile before reading the reviews (which so far are leaning negative) and I'm glad I did because I probably wouldn't have bought it otherwise.

I saw other mobiles costing $40 and $50, but didn't want to pay that much. This one is inexpensive yet is quite nice and well built.

It's true that the music volume is too loud, even on the low setting. But I fixed that in less than a minute by taping a piece of cardboard (which I cut from the packaging) over the speaker hole. This part is hidden, so you can't even see the cardboard.

Somebody complained about the elephant (?) switch on the mirror. Yeah, it's a bit "squishy," but it does work, and honestly I doubt toddlers will even use it. All it does is toggle the music from song to song.

The one thing to be aware of is that this mobile can't be attached to a play yard. It will attach to virtually any crib though.

I wanted to use this mobile for a play yard, and so I built a decent stand for it out of a $2 heavy duty (Bankers Box brand) magazine file. Just cut a round hole in it, attached the mobile, and tied the tube coming from the top of the mirror to the opposite end of the box with string in order to give it support (keep it up straight). Then put a 5 lb weight in it. I set the box on a end table sitting next to the play yard. It works great!

Our baby loves this mobile. It plays music for a long time, and we have never had to change the batteries in the 8 months we have been using it (unlike our first baby's mobile, which needed new batteries monthly). We like the feature that allows us to remove the arm, and toys, but keep the base attached to the crib so the baby can fall asleep to the music even after she has outgrown the mobile (pulls the toys off, etc).

I'm yet to figure out what it is, but from 2 months old till now at 6 months old my son is just totally fascinated by this very simple crib mobile. So much so that even when you don't turn it on he just lies there looking at it laughing and making those noises babies make when they are well entertained.

My baby likes to look at the objects but I think there are a few cons: it doesn't attach to my pack n play, you cannot turn it without music playing and the objects just turn but only really move when you hit them. It is cheap though.

When i first got this i was really excited about it. my 3 month old baby loves it and so is my 2 yr old girl. one time I left my 3 month old on the crib, she was admiring the mobile. then my 2 yr old got a chair and reach out for the mobile she must have got curious at the blue button before the head of the mobile and press it. the head of the mobile immediately got ejected from the curved part of the toy and fell on the crib. thank god my 3 month old baby was not directly under the mobile.

I bought these for my kids for Christmas. We have a real buff-colored cocker spaniel, so this was the perfect stuffed animal for them. It is smaller than a Pillow Pet-type item, but I think the size is more managable. They both (girl 7, boy 9) thank me to this day for the 'precious' stuffed animal.

Bugs On Board

I have to say, this toy is great. We bought then for our daughter when she was 4 months old (7 months now) and she just loves them. As they are small and easily movable, we use them in the car, have them velcro'd to her car seat handles, lay them with her on her play mat and bring them into the restaurant. Whenever she gets fussy, we give one to her and she is good for 15 minutes. Perfect for the family on the move.

I don't know what I would have done without these bugs. They kept my daughter entertained for hours while she was in her infant carseat. Now that she is in the larger carseat I have found other places to attach them because they are her favorite travelling toy. This is one toy that I will be saving for her memory box!

I bought these for my 3 month old, since she is just starting to bat and grab at hanging toys. Here are the pros and cons of the bugs:

Pros

1) They can be hung from multiple places, including the car seat, bouncy seat, and swing.

2) Can be used as wrist rattles

3) Brightly colored, keeps my babies attention

4) They don't hang down too far, so they don't hit my baby in the face while they are hooked to her car seat.

Cons

1) The dragonfly is supposed to have beads in its tail that rattle. Unfortunately, the beads are so tightly packed into the tail that they don't rattle at all; also, there is a yellow mesh fabric that covers the tail so you can barely even see the beads. I had researched this product online first before buying and was under the impression that the beads were easy to see in the tail. I was very disappointed when I took this bug out of the package and it wasn't anything like how it was represented online. The beads may as well not even be in the tail, since they are pretty much non-functioning.

2) The dragonfly is also supposed to buzz and vibrate when you pull it down. It does, but it only buzzes/vibrates for a split second, not nearly long enough for my baby to even realize what's going on!

3) The grasshopper is supposed to rattle, but when I shake it, I can barely hear the rattle sound coming from inside its body. The ladybug is the only bug out of the three that has a nice chime sound that entertains my baby.

I'm glad I bought these, because my baby does like them. I just was a bit disappointed that they were different than what they were represented to be on the online information.

My daughter loves her bugs on board. We bought them when she was born and have watched her develop with her bugs on board. When she was 0-3 months, she would stare at them passively. The high contrast and bright colors were good for her to focus as her eye's developed. Starting at about 4 months she developed the motor skills to hit and grab at the bugs on board.

If you have a travel system, they are always with the car seat whether you're at home, in the car, in the stoller or even on an airplane. These Bugs are awesome. My son is 5 months old now and just loves them. They have very bright colors that keep the childs attention, and the wings make crinkle sounds and the bodies of the bugs are rattles. They wash very very well. I just threw them in the washer with his clothes because I had them attached to his infant carrier and he likes to chew on them. They attach with velcro and you can pretty much attach them anywhere. We are going to attach them to the stroller once he moves to a larger car seat. Great value for the entertainment.

I purchased THREE of these beds for my three little girls. I put all three together myself (go girl power!) and just about required therapy afterward. First of all, the quality is utter crap. The plastic pieces are so lightweight, you can squish them in your hand. Yeah! Second, there are approximately ten bazillion screws you have to screw in. But good luck with that, because the holes only line up about half the time and once in awhile, there isn't any hole AT ALL! If you go so far as to get the bed together, just stop there. There isn't any reason to go further. But if you're a glutton for punishment like me, go ahead and assemble the canopy. Be sure and take pictures of it when it's all put together, because it's darling! And it will only look cute for about twelve hours before your child breaks the canopy. It's made out of metal tubing, held together with the most flimsy, brittle, plastic elbows. Imagine constructing a canopy out of paper towel tubes and masking tape. That's a fair comparison of the durability of the canopy. RIDICULOUS. Embarrassing. Unbelievable that people ARE SELLING this stuff. We've had these beds nearly six months and have made COUNTLESS repairs to the canopies with duct tape. (Yeah! That looks nice and princessy, NOT.) I just finished taking all the canopies down and throwing them in the trash, because all three were broken beyond repair. Buyer beware!!

my daughter is 2 and a half. and she refused to sleep in her old bed for the last month, because one of her friends stayed over and wet her old one... no matter what i did she insisted it was still dirty and wanted nothing to do with it. so i set off in search of the perfect replacement since her old one had been given to me used and was still in outstanding condition, i decided to check out this brand and see what they had to offer. then i found this tinkerbell canopy bed with my daughter on my lap, and she fell in love with the picture (massive tinkerbell fan) i was worried when i read the reveiws and saw that some people were saying it wasnt very well constructed, but i put my faith in this brand because it was the same brand as her old one (only difference is the canopy and that the old one was princesses) i am extremely satisfied with this bed, the picture doesnt do it justice. i was worried that since my daughter is on the tall side for 2 and a half, that the canopy might be too low for her, but instead it has plenty of room, she jumped on her new bed all day (with the canopy on it) as far as worries about the canopy frame being flimsy... it doesnt appear as though that will be a problem either, the fram is thin pvc tubing, however, the way it goes together is just with connectors, so the tubing may pop out of the connectors if it is messed with alot (my daughter played with it all day and never once did it pop apart) but i very much doubt if the tubing would become busted (my daughter also pulled on the canopy frame all day) and it is still in perfect shape. she begged me all day if she could go to bed and was more than happy when 8 o clock came around and i told her it was time for bath and bed. for the first time in a month she was asleep before midnight. i give this product 5 stars and recomend it to everyone! and the picture doesnt do this product justice, to see it in person it is absolutly gorgeous. (this bed took me about 2 hrs to assemble with the "help" of my special little girl who had to spread pieces through the entire room. all that is required to assemble it is a philips screwdriver, not included, all the holes were cut perfectly, i had no problems with getting everything to line up. 2 instruction books, one for the bed, one for the canopy. instructions are very clear, with detailed pictures.) i am very pleased i gave this bed a chance. i have noticed some people just have nothing nice to say about any products! so i recommend checking all reveiws written by each person and seeing which people are just not satissfied with any products!

I put the bed together the first time without the canopy because everyone said how bad of quality it was. The bed looked so plain that I had to put it on. Without the canopy all the tinker bell elements are missing. My 16 month old loves the bed and I have already taught her that the canopy is a "no no" and she is not to touch it. She will lay on her bed and just look up at it. It was easy to put together despite other reviews I have read. All the holes lined up perfectly for me and there was nothing missing. Overall I am satisfied with the bed and so is my daughter. Now I just need to get the making comforter set and we will be all set. I recommend this product to anyone who can control their children when it comes to the canopy since the connectors for the poles are a little flimsy.

The big writing on the box says, "Easy Assembly." Three hours, one screw driver injury which wouldn't stop bleeding all over my carpet later, the bed was assembled w/ my daughter asleep... in MY bed. She loves the bed for nap times, and we're still working on night times. The canopy is fragile and she decided to grab it while climbing up onto the bed, so it snapped on day three at one of the "T" pole attachment sites, a plastic insert to hold the skinny poles of the canopy together. The website is supposed to sell replacement parts but you can only look them up w/ the model and lot numbers which come on the box, and which are not written on the instruction manual anywhere. Still can't find it on the internet, and box was thrown out on day two. So now we have a brand new toddler bed with a floppy canopy and the product has been discontinued. I'm still not having any success finding a way to replace the plastic parts of the canopy. If I do find them, I will buy multiples to last me at least a year or two. This bed was difficult to assemble, for a 12-year army veteran/ former Apache / Longbow helicopter pilot, and fairly self-sufficient handy woman around the house. Even harder if your two kids are climbing all over you (husband is deployed and not here to help). Holes did not line up and took much strong-arming to get the screws to properly attach pieces. The bed itself is "cute," and sturdy enough. Also, my daughter thinks it's a novelty item, but likes it. My 10 month old son thinks it's really fun to practice climbing up and down on. So it has its place. Mattress does not come with bed, but that's no problem if you already have a crib mattress. Pretty and sturdy bed, fragile canopy, replacement parts are thus far not easy to find. I'd buy it again, but only if my husband were here to put it together. He's WAY more patient than me! :D

Tek Nek Rockin' Rider Bull

Te Rockin' Rider Bull is just adorable. The smile on my 9 month old grandson's face when he heard it talk and sing was priceless! He can't quite hold on yet, but loves to sit on it and make the riding motions. It's a little smaller than I had originally thought, but measurements were accurate. My grandson is about 29" tall and weighs 26 pounds, so he is big for his age. I can't stop telling people how cute it is. Light and easy to assemble, also. Fours screws is all it takes!

I got this for my son for Christmas and he LOVES it. He's 17 months old and it's the perfect height for him. He got a bigger rocking horse and it rocked too much and it scared him so I appreciate the stoppers on this one that limit how extreme the rocking gets. I also love that it's soft because he can't hurt himself as easily. The song is cute and I love that the mouth moves. Overall a great purchase for my little man.

We got the Rockin Bull and my 17-month old liked it however the quality was pretty questionable, as it tore badly as soon as he sat on it (he's only 22 lbs, so it wasn't him). I'm talking like a 4" rip up the whole seam on its back. So I had to return it and buy a new one, but the second one that came sang a different song (really loud music, really quiet vocals, so I'm disappointed in the different product the second time). But for the money, I guess I can't complain too much. If your kid is older, the rocking movement really leaves something to be desired, but for a young toddler cruising or just barely walking, it's fine.

Vilac Baby Paf the Giraffe Pull Toy

I bought this to replace a vilac pull along mouse who's round nose broke off when my 1 year old was playing with it, (excellent choking hazard!) But it was well balanced and ran well so I got this for a replacement but its quite small and top heavy so tips easily. Looks cute, just doesnt perform very well.

My almost seven month old son has enjoyed these balls since he was about five months old. I think these balls actually encouraged him to crawl early because he was so eager to go after them. They are also very durable.

My son loves to throw and catch balls and make noise; so even though these are for babies and he is almost two I bought them for him. He loves them and my four year old daughter plays with them also. They throw them all over the place and they still are in one piece. My son threw one in the fish tank and it floated and was still fine. They are fun little balls although one of them makes a bell sound that can get annoying when the kids are playing catch with it nearby.

Boring, and not what they say. Roar... yeah right its a ball clanking around inside a bigger ball. Rain its just a bunch of small balls in the bigger ball. they are all just rattles with the exception of the bell and sproing one but you have to twist different layers to do that and I don't see a 6 month old doing that! Sponge Bob Square Pants Water Wow Doodle Book Magic Pen

I'm not very happy with the new water doodle pads and pen. The point on the pen scratches off the finish of the pictures and the kids can squeeze the water out of the pen making a big mess! All of the pages in the the doodle pad warped as they dried and the kids don't want to play with them anymore. I wish they would change the pens back to the type with the felt tip made of hard plastic with the screw top. I won't buy anymore of these and don't recommend them. :-(

My 2 year old son loves this. He will sit and draw for over an hour, which is unheard of for him. I love that the water dries and he can draw over and over. By the time he finishes a picture, part of it has already dried, so there's always more to draw. The only slight issue I have is that I wish the base of the pages was plastic not cardboard. After a lot of use/water, the cardboard starts to break down. But overall, I highly recommend this. It I by far the best drawing/ activity book over purchased. We have 2! (We also have the circus book.)

At 9 months old my daughter loved to take the pieces out of the puzzle and play with the pieces different textures. Now at 10 months she's slowing learning how to put the pieces back. These puzzles are one of her favorite toys. If they are in eyesight I can guarantee that she will be crawling towards them any minute.

The puzzle is well made and durable I expect my daughter will continue to play with this for at least the next several months.

I got this for my granddaughter's 2nd birthday who loves to buckle and rebuckle her booster seat and car seat so I thought it was the perfect gift. However, she gets really frustrated because she tries to buckle ones that don't match and she gives up. I think I should have opted for the smaller one so she would not have had so many choices and it would not have been so overwhelming to her.

Lil Characters Unisex-baby Newborn Monkey Costume

We bought this as a costume for our 5.5 month old for his 1st Halloween. BOYhe was ADORABLE in it. The costume is really easy, it comes with a pajama fullcover outfit which snaps open and closed at the bottom. The hat is cute and has a velcro attach at the chin. My son was really comfortable and happy in it. The material is really thin and so if you are taking your baby out and its cold, I would def recommend another layer underneath. Depending on how old and how big your baby is, the head piece will either be snug or loose. It also washes and dries really well.

Overall, we had so much fun and we kept it. Loved this costume for the fun and price.

My daughter is a 3month size right now so the costume is big because it's 6-12 months but she still looks cute in it anyway so we are going to keep it. It's a very light material so be prepared to put layers underneath if you live in a cold area like I do. Other than the sizing issue the costume is adorable and looks cute on my daughter.

I was going to make my niece a bear, but saw this Gund bear and bought it. The eyes are extremely secure and the bear "fur" is silky. This bear is well made and soft without being a floppy blob. I also wanted a bear I could make clothes for, and this bear is perfect in its proportions. It's 19" high and has a 19" tummy. These proportions are perfect for overalls and dresses with an empire waist. I can use doll clothes patterns for 18" dolls and adjust the patterns to a "Bear-plus" size, remembering that a bear doesn't have a neck.

The Amazon truck came to our house today, and my husband answered the door. As he was opening the box he said,"This must be the bear because the box is so light." I said, "This can't be the bear. I just ordered it last night!"
