Mamas & Papas Activity Toy - Tummy Time

My 8 month old loves this and has since I got it for him two months ago. He has no problem turning on the music and neither do I but it's also not a primarily musical toy. He lays on it, crawls over it, shakes it. I only wish I had bought it earlier so we could have used it for tummy time.

Everything on this product is great except the music button does not work. It is impossible to even press down. I called the company about it and the person I spoke to was completely unhelpful even though they seemed aware of this problem. They offered no resolution other than to return it to the seller. I saw these later at an actual store and they are all like this. The musical button is practically impossible for me (an adult) to press, there is no way a toddler could do it.

Child Hannah Montana Quality Costume

I purchased the Hannah Montana Child Costume for my daughter's Halloween parties and Trick-or-Treating. The costume was as it appeared in the picture and it arrived on time. However, there was a stain on the front of the costume, which should have been noticed prior to shipping. Additionally, the costume was slightly smaller than advertised. My recommendation is to have a shipping date with plenty of time to exchange a damaged costume and to order it one size larger than what our child normally wears

Let's just say that the product looks better in the picture and for the price, I do not think it was worth it...but if the child gets enjoyment from it, it's OK.

I was a little confused by this costume. It came with the tank sewed wrong. They were twisted at the shoulders so I had to take the stitching out and sew it back. The bottoms were fine, it looks itching but my daughter had no problem.

Just as pictured (except it had no shoe covers as some did which I didn't really realize). The shirt however was sewn across the shoulders in a twisted fashion. Not made for washing and reusing and the belt applique was half missing before the couple hours of wearing it was over. Like I said, it was just as pictured and served its purpose well for Halloween.

I purchased this for my son for Halloween. He loved it, but there were a few "structural" issues. I had to remove the headband from the hood and tie it around my son's head. It was partially sewn on in an awkward area which wouldn't fit anyone's head. It also started coming apart on some seams after wearing it for a night. When it arrived, I also noticed it was missing a velcro piece on the back. It served it's purpose, and looked really cool, but it's not a quality garment.

My son looks absolutely adorable in this costume. It is lightweight and perfectly priced for an outfit my toddler is only going to wear one time. The headpiece allows for something to cover his head without covering his face, obstructing his vision, or wear face make-up which is not good for someone with sensitive skin. Although we have not gone trick or treating yet, he has worn it around the house and seems to enjoy it immensely.

Baby Einstein Count and Discover Treasure Chest

Make no mistake, this is a colorful toy that was created with good intentions. It has some neat music and some parts light up.

However, major design flaws outweigh any positives. First, the toy is extremely top heavy. This makes it prone to being knocked over backward and providing it with good potential energy...should it be placed precariously on the edge of a piece of furniture (as toddlers have a propensity to do). Second, the lid barely even opens...unless the lid comes off the main body, which it is prone to do. This, of course, spills the contents and requires an adult to put it back on. Third, the coin-recognition mechanism makes errors, as it judges based on coin size. As with toddlers, sometimes the coin isn't put perfectly into the slot, and it thinks the coin is wider than it really is.

This toy REALLY needs to be re-designed. Make the bottom heavier, allow the box to actually open, and refine how the chest recognizes a coin.

What a shame that baby einstein, a brand that promises (overtly or otherwise) to make your child the smartest thing around, couldn't be bothered to put a little more thought into the design of this toy. I bought it for my son thinking it looked like fun. But once extricated from the packaging (no mean feat, that) it took him about 2 minutes to show me 3 problems. While attempting to put one of the coins in the slot, one of his fingers became painfully caught between the coin and the edge of the slot. He is an infant. His control and coordination are far from perfect. In addition, the chest is very top-heavy since all the features are built into the lid. It's just heavy enough to come down painfully on a little hand (although I doubt it's heavy enough to do any real harm, I'd rather not put it to the test.) Lastly, all of the counting/color/shape identification rely on a switch in the slot that makes a determination based on the size of the coin. If your child is like any child, he's going to put it part-way in, pull it out, and earn himself a false identification of the object, which is, needless to say, somewhat less than helpful for actually helping him learn anything, if that is one of your goals in purchasing a toy like this.

Ok, now that I think about it, it would also be nice if it had a volume control.

I totally agree with all the reviews on here. This toy is top heavy, and the lid doesn't open very far. However, my child, 18 months, LOVES this toy. We have had it since she was about 6 months, and at that time, she just liked to put the coins in her mouth. At about a year, she tried to put the coins in the slot, but was happy pressing the button on the outside to make the music play. At 18 months, she fully gets it, and it is easily one of her favorite toys.

We bought this for our son while we were out shopping one day. It has several different coins of varying colors with shapes on them. The chest recognizes which color/shape is being inserted, and will speak that color/shape back to the infant. Whether or not an infant finds this toy to be a fun activity is unknown to me. You see, this toy has a huge design flaw that makes playing with it virtually impossible.

All of the electronics are stored in the lid, making the toy very top heavy. Opening the chest to retrieve the coins inside is virtually impossible for an infant, and difficult for an adult. When my uncoordinated son attempts to open the lid, it simply topples over. Every time. You need to keep a sturdy hand on the base to keep the lid open, which is not going to happen with an infant. It bores him, and it frustrates me. I don't understand why, in 2013, toy engineers would think this design was okay to go to market.

I suppose it's okay if you just dump the coins out, but what infant is going to be able to dump this out, and then return it to a standing position? This things spends more time upside down on my floor anyway.

I'm no engineer, but the first thing that comes to mind is placing the electronics on the bottom. I'm sure that there is some technical or cost-reduction reason for this design decision, but it was made at the cost of the consumer in this regard. They could have even made the bottom heavier to even out the weight distribution, but they didn't.

It's a huge flaw, and I worry about my son hurting himself with this toy somehow. We've been very pleased with the line of Baby Einstein toys, so it's disappointing to see this poorly designed thing on store shelves. I don't normally feel ripped off, but I genuinely wish I could get my money back on this poorly designed thing.

Weebles Twins Girls & Boy Kids 2 Pack

This product is a two pack of boy and girl Hasbro Playskool Weebles in matching pink and blue pajamas. They were created as a compliment to the Christmas 2011 Weeble House Set. Like all Weebles products they should entertain a one year old or toddler well enough, but keep in mind that this set was only on sale for the 2011 year and as such was discontinued after Christmas 2011 along with all the newer Hasbro Playskool Weeble toys. I hope this does not discourage Hasbro Playskool from restarting the line sometime in the future because they are really cute, especially when you have a collection of all sorts of little Weeble people.

These toys are soft and adorable! On top of that you're giving them a real star! How cool is that? Half of my grandkids are now planning to be astronauts! They use the Nasa site to check on their stars and usually end up widening their search. The teens and preteens really enjoy the game site. In addition to all this a portion of the profits goes to children's charities. I have rarely been happier with a gift I've purchased.

I love this Shining stars parrot, I just got mine and I named it Scarlet and it's super fuzzy and soft. I think it's totally worth it, I got mine pretty cheap $15 total with shipping, I could never find one in the stores, So I ordered mine online and I'm glad I did, She goes every where with me, I love her so much!

Sesame Street Super Grover 2.0 Infant / Toddler Costume

I am very disappointed in this product. Although it does look just as the picture it runs EXTREMELY small. No sizing charts were available upon ordering. My son is a small 2T so that is what I ordered but needless to say not only is it WAYYY to short in the legs it is also very snug. My son says the costume HURTS! The return policy makes it kind of difficult and expensive at this point to exchange or return it. The seller did get us our product fast though so they gets points for that. I just wish there was something to that I could do now as my son is upset about his costume. And its not like they are cheap!!!!

I ordered this costume in size 2T for my 2-year old and it was ridiculously small on him his legs were sticking out and it was too tight in the crotch area. I should mention that my son is no giant, he was only 26 months on Halloween, he's skinny only 25th percentile for weight and 50th percentile for height. There is no was size 2T will fit an average 2-year old child.

Annoying thing is that this costume does not qualify for free shipping, so I ended up paying additional $8 for shipping (way overpriced). Another problem was return/exchange it cannot be done through Amazon, I had to deal with Costume SuperCenter. And since I didn't buy the costume directly with them, I didn't qualify for their free exchange program. Needless to say I had to pay to ship the small costume back to them, and then I had to pay the overpriced shipping of $8 yet again when I ordered a size larger (this time from their website).

Costume SuperCenter did, eventually (after almost 1 month) refund me the money I paid for the first costume, but I lost over $20 on shipping charges. Way too much money.

And FYI, the next size up is not 3T, but size 3T/4T, which is huge for a change. So I had to hand-stitch the sleeves and pants, both were too long. But I guess it's better than short...

All in all, the costume is cute, especially the head piece (the outfit itself looks a little cheap though). But definitely not worth the hassle of returning/exchanging, hand-stitching and paying close to $50 overall.

Steiff Sweet Dreams Lamb Pale Pink 8"

My daughter received her first Steiff lamb when she was born. With 7 month it was her favorite. After 4 month using it constantly and washing it in the machine it was impossible to get it white again. But my daughter still loved it over everything. Only by accident I discovered it at Amazon and ordered a second one. My daughter accepted the new lamb without hesitation. We have finally 2 lambs one really dirty one and another one a little bit cleaner. The first lamb is probably through 20-40 washes and some dryer time but it still holds its form. We love it :)

I thought this would be a regular sized stuffed animal, but it was about the size of a banana. I guess it is my fault for not reading more closely, but it would have been nice to know before ordering.

Fisher-Price Go Baby Go! Press And Crawl Turtle

DS likes to grab the top of it and push it around on the floor as he crawls. If he pushes the "button" on the top while he's playing with it on carpet it won't move. The device that turns the wheels doesn't build-up enough power to move over basic, builders grade carpet. So, yes, he'll play with it and crawl around with it, but he can't chase something that isn't zooming away from him as intended.

I got this toy for my then 6 month old daughter. She didn't play with it at all when I first got it but then as she was learning to crawl I figured I would give it another try. Like some of the other reviews said the toy does not move well on carpet and the button is extremely difficult to push down. My daughter is now 10 months and still can not push the button down to make it move so I end up having to do it. I myself find it difficult to push and it does not go very far. My daughter does watch as it moves but loses interest after that.

My daughter likes to walk around after the turtle. It goes great on hardwoods, but not very far on the carpet. The button is pretty hard to push, so she smack at it, but we have to push it for her to get it to really go. She seems to love it though, it's always one of the first toys she grabs out of the toy chest.

UPPAbaby Vista Car Seat Adapter - Maxi-Cosi

I bought it for the Aton Cybex infant seat a pricey but the safest, lightest, easiest to install seat I found it's a high end European brand that's recently selling in the US. The adapter works for both maxi cosi and Aton seats.

The only problem is that I haven't found a good easy way to detach the seat from the stroller the latch appears to be on the inside... Anyway I decided to keep it because I like the Cybex Aton so much.

Those adapters are awesome!! Very easy to install, and makes life much better.

Our baby would be sleeping in the car seat, then we can transfer her to the stroller, then into the apartment without having to remove her from the car seat. I definitely recommend those adapters!!

It's hard to sync up and when you do, unless my husband is with me I can't remove the car seat. I wish the adapter worked like the UPV system which is so easy to use. Now I am looking at the infant insert for the stroller seat and a snap and go for smaller trips. Babies are expensive aren't they?!

Carter's Just One Year Blue Plush Elephant Lights Music

I purchased this for my son, and he loves it. I purchased it because the other elephant that he had broke. The only complaint that I have is that it is a little small.

This is a cute product. My son has a just one year elephant with a pull cord to play music that they do not make anymore. (They make a similar one but it is grey and my son realizes the difference and does not like the gray one as much as the blue one.) I was hoping this product would be similar to his original one, as it is the same coloring but it is rather small. I was disappointed by the size, which is why I gave it 4 stars. But other than that it is cute!

This is adorable, soft, plays a short soothing music clip, and has red LEDs under the cheeks that light up in an cute, attention-keeping way.

But my baby isn't impressed. In fact, when he was only a couple months old, the lights scared him a little bit.

I think it's cute and my preschool aged boy loves it and is always pressing the song button (which is too hard for even my now 9-month-old to press). At 9 months, my baby will turn and look when the song is played, and will chew on the elephants ears, but it's way down on the list of toys he reaches to play with.

Maybe it will be a hit with other babies, but I sorta feel like this more to evoke an "awwwww" the parents rather than enthrall the baby.

Intex My First Pool

I was so excited to get this for my 6 month old baby to play in. He loves the tub, so I figured, why not try a little pool outside? He loves it! It's the perfect size for him, although, give him another few months, and its size won't be so accommodating. I don't think he's a BIG baby, but I could be wrong. He's 28 inches and 18lbs. When he kind of lounges on the blown up part, his legs hang over the other side. Also, the material is kind of flimsy. I was afraid it would rip if I put it in the grass and there was a hidden stick or something, so I just kept it on the porch. It also comes with a patch, so I wasn't very convinced about it's durability. Other than those things, we love it! It's a great time killer and a good way to keep baby cool while outside.

I purchased the inflatable pool to be used on a cruise ship since my daughter is not yet potty trained to use the pool. I also used it to bath her since there is no tub on the cruise ship.

As a pool, I took it on the deck and placed it between to lounge chairs. I filled it with pool water using an ice bucket that I got from the bar. It worked out just fine. My daughter was able to enjoy the sun and play in the water. This was also a perfect size.

Fisher-Price Classic Farmer Says See N Say

My daughter received this for her first birthday and just loves it. She is not one to just sit in a lap but when my husband gets home from work, she goes and picks it up and brings it to him so they can sit in the chair and play farmer says. She loves to point at the animals and thinks the music is great. No problems pulling the lever (also great fun). The toy has been dropped many a time and my daughter also thinks it is great fun to stand on it, No problems to speak of.

I have to agree with the other review what's with the bunny going "boing boing"? That's ridiculous. And my son also had trouble pulling the handle for a while.

I admit though, my son likes this toy and it is kinda nice to have two different sides so there are more animals. However, I really wish there was a way to turn off the quiz function. Or if the quiz section was only on one side. This toy appeals to a lot of children who are too young to get the quiz thing, and it's a little disruptive when they get into the groove of learning about animal sounds (even the made-up ones) and all of a sudden the thing is asking them questions. And you either have to fix it by pointing the arrow to the correct animal yourself, or wait until it turns itself off. I mean, I'm sure it's a nice feature for kids who are big enough to understand how to do it, but I just really would rather not deal with it sometimes.

The toy is smaller and the handle is so stiff my 15 month old gets pissed trying to make it talk. As many reviews as I write, I wish I would've read the others listed on here. This toy is NOT the toy you remember from the 80's. It's cheap, small, flimsy and the paint is sloppy. The handle is too hard for toddlers to pull all the way down in one fluid motion, and unless you do just that, no sound comes out. In other words, unless you pull the handle down quickly and completely, the spinner moves without making any noise kind of difficult when you have the motor skills of a 20 month old.

What I was looking for was the old toy I had growing up, where you'd pull the handle and the spinner would land on an animal and give that noise "The cow says 'Moo!'" for instance. This toy has goofy sentence structure and for some reason they felt if necessary to incorporate the "quiz" square where the voice repeatedly asks you to find an animal until you physically turn the spinner to that animal and pull the handle. Again, too confusing for a toddler who just wants to hear animal sounds associated with pictures of animals. I wouldn't buy this toy for any of my younger children and am so disappointed. On top of being plain dumb, it's cheaply and poorly made. Don't waste your money as for me, I'm going look for a well-preserved original at a yard sale or bidding site.

Like all of the other Fisher-Price Little People sets, this set is very colorful, durable, & fun looking. I can't say exactly how much fun it is because I'm saving it for when my baby grandson is older. Then I'm sure he & his older sister will have hours of imaginative fun!

My daughter received this as a gift when she was 2 months old for Valentines day, it is by far her favorite baby! "Red puppy" has gone everywhere with us, I have probably thrown him in the washer and dryer over 100 times and he is still going strong. He is not quite white anymore more of a light gray color and has no fluffiness inside his stomach anymore but he has never torn or ripped, no loose strings at all. She will be 3 in a couple of months and we recently lost red puppy at the store luckily my husband was able to go back to the store and someone had turned him in so we were able to get him back! But it scared us enough to order a back up! This puppy is so cute and a great baby for any little one!
