My little one is almost a year old and this is still one of his favorites! He's teething and the different keys are great for him to gnaw on. This is one of the few toys he plays with repeatedly. I like it because it is a great teething toy, but it goes one step further with the music. The volume isn't too loud and the music button is easy to push.

The buttons are easy for a six month old to push. My daughter really likes it.

It's a great toy for babies. My 6 month old likes them a lot. The only con is that the base of the keys is very heavy, so it makes it hard for him to pick up and plus with it falls it hits hard. He likes the music, and loves to chew on the keys, so I think it's just a matter of time as he gets better at picking things up before this is a favorite.

My daughter received this as a gift when she was 3 months old. It STILL is her favorite toy and she is 12 months! Babipouce Asian arrived today and my daughter was here with her 3 month old baby girl, Jasmine. Her first comment was that the doll was beautiful and her eyes looked just like Jasmine's. We are thrilled to find an adorable doll that will be Jasmine's first baby doll.

I bought this doll as a first birthday present for a lovely little girl of my acquaintance who happens to be Chinese. The little girl was just beginning to play "Mommy" with her dolls, and I thought it would be a good idea to give her a doll that resembled her, instead of all the white baby clones available at the giant toy store.

Three years later, the doll is still a favorite and is still in good shape. She's had a ride or two through the washing machine, and is reasonably clean. Her head is still on (a problem with my daughter's baby doll), and the cloth body isn't showing significant wear, despite a lot of loving from her mistress. The doll goes everywhere and does everything with her, and is loved very much without falling to pieces.

Because of her resemblance to her child, her "playability" and her durability, I give this doll the highest of recommendations.

My daughter loves this doll! It is her favorite lovey, she sleeps with it and enjoys taking care of it. It is perfect sized for an infant to toddler, very soft and cuddly. I bought this doll for my daughter's first Easter basket when she was 4 months old. She really started playing with it when she was closer to 2, but I love this doll. It's nice to have a doll that actually looks like her, even though she's only a 1/4 Asian, the almond shaped brown eyes and hair color are identical. It's so easy to stick in the washing machine and I've even dried it on low in a delicates bag. And the vanilla scent it so pleasant. Highly recommend this doll.

My 2 year old loves dress up and adores the tigers at our local zoo, so he has had the best time with the tiger tail and nose set. Fisher-Price Discover 'n Grow Select-a-Show Soother

So upon going to target for odds and ends, I came across this item. I already have a soother for my DD but the projection is so loud you have to turn the music almost all the way up (which is too loud lol). Anyways this soother is not what I had expected. Don't get me wrong, it's a great product but I feel like It could have been better. It has 2 different volume options and 3 different light disks. The light could be a bit stronger so the projections would be clearer and the volume louder as well. It's a great solution to those wind up mobiles and dark rooms. Soothers in general are great.

I was so excited for this product for my six month old. The projection was so blurry that we couldn't make out the images. Sending it back.

Something went really bad with this product. Images are not clear. My daughter loves another similar fisher price projector that shows only two pictures, this one has three pictures, alternating images on the same board, but they are not clear no matter the distance from the wall or ceiling. At least music themes are good.

I have three kids under five and I have run the gamut for finding baby toys. You can't beat this toy for baby girls. My one year old loves it and my three year old wants to take it from her. It's durable, cute, they can slobber on it as much as they want and there's alot to play with. I highly reccomend it. Plus, it's not a cheap plastic toy with a disney princess on it, which is hard to find.

My 22-month-old daughter was really excited when first received this toy but had a hard time taking the items out of the purse the opening is too narrow. Even I am having a hard time taking the items out, also the wallet is too small to fit all 4 coins again problem pushing things in. Other than that the purse is very pretty and of a good quality.

I didn't feel that the fact you can't dump out the contents detracted from the fun at all. My 16 mos old loves this little purse. She is at the age where she enjoys emptying and refilling containers. Really cute toy, a little pricey, but a sweet gift for a toddler girl.

The opening is too narrow to fill or spill. My daughter received this as a gift for her 1st birthday, she is 17 months old now. She has tried playing with it a few times, but gets bored quickly, it can't be used as intended. Mommy has a hard time using it too. The only part of this she likes is the phone, she likes to walk around pretending to talk on it. But she'll do that with just about anything, so it's not a great selling point.

I was expecting these to be soft plastic..something that could easily be cleaned especially since they are for 6 months +. They are actually cardboard. The designs and pictures are nice but any time my 9month old uses them, I will have to be right there with her to stop her from trying to chew them or crush them. Fisher-Price Little People Builders Stack 'n Learn Alphabet Blocks

I was deciding between these or classic wooden blocks like I had when I was a kid. The reviews for a lot of the wooden blocks said they were made from soft wood that the babies could bite into and that the paint would come off when the blocks were sucked/chewed on. They were also very small. This is nothing like the blocks I had, so I went with these plastic stackable blocks and am very pleased with my choice. They are big and light, easy for my 17 month old to handle. They both stack easily and come apart easily, so my little girl does not get frustrated. She likes to stack them up tall, and when they eventually fall or get knocked over, they don't hurt if you get hit by them. The colors are bright, the letters easy to read and recognize for my baby, and the pictures are very cute. These are highly recommended. And considering the price for how many pieces you get, these are a fantastic alternative to beginner legos, which I also considered until I saw the price. I'll get her legos when she's old enough to really start building better. Save your money when it comes to the duplos.

These alphabet blocks are wonderful. They stack very easily, like lego blocks. They are a much better alternative to the traditional wooden cube blocks with the alphabet.

My DS, who just turned two in Aug, had a blast stacking these blocks and they will help with his learning as well. Highly recommend as a first block for babies! They are brightly colored and lightweight for baby to handle.

My son just received these blocks for Christmas and overall they are nice blocks. He already has some Little People toys and I like the fact that these blocks work with the others. My only complaint is that there are no long blocks in the collection. All my son can do is build stacks of blocks. There are no rectangular blocks to allow for building structures or tunnels or anything but straight towers. They don't really allow for a lot of creativity so I don't understand the purpose of them. Sorry.

We bought this for our 16 month old son. The blocks are durable the only thing is they don't stay together. He can stack the blocks but there is no room for creativity as we thought these blocks would lock together, like Legos. So we mostly have a room filled with scattered blocks.

I probably should have thought a bit more before getting this product. I saw it, saw letters and different colors, and just thought this would be a good idea. Not so much though. All of these different blocks stack my locking into either the one on top or below it kind of like legos, but some won't click together at all because its too loose of a connection. All of the letter blocks are the same size, so they only stack up. Meaning, you can't use them to try to build any kind of shape or do anything really creative with them. They may be great to work on colors or letters, but that said there are tons of products out there that work on colors and letters. All in all, I would suggest getting actual blocks instead of this.

Fisher-Price Go Baby Go! Bat and Wobble Penguin

This was a compromise when I bought the Fisher-Price Crawl-Along Drum Roll for our daughter (Daddy picked the drum, mommy picked the penguin).

We have had no problems with this toy. You put in the 80's favorite size of batteries (C, nothing else but the Fisher-Price Open Top Take-Along Swing Rainforest and an old boom box run on C batteries) and it's weighted fine. Maybe it didn't pop up because batteries weren't in there. The batteries add weight to make the whole thing work as intended.

It wasn't hard to blow up. The valve is more "industrial" than most valves, so I agree that it takes more than blowing up a small beach ball, but I see that as added quality and not a knock.

The only issue so far, is that at medium range, our daughter is scared of the blasted thing. Close up, she is fine with it. She "bats" it and no problem. Far away, daddy hits it and she laughs. But at two-ish feet, she screams in bloody murder at the scary attacking penguin with the creepy clown-like "huuuuh-huuuh-huuuh-uh-huh" that it makes when "batted."

And the last thing that is just my two cents, but oh well. There is no real educational value to this toy. It's fun. But really, I see it as beginning self-defense training. It says somewhere on the box that it teaches your kid to "bat." What the heck is "batting" but "hitting?" I'm all about the real toys and sick of this PC stuff, which is why I'll train her to kick the thing in a month from her Johnny Jump-Up. But whatever. I thought I'd just add that.

When we got this we assumed that it was like the old style we had when we were younger where you could bat at it and it would fall down and then pop back up. Nope. It would fall down and then just lay there it wouldn't pop back up because of the way the battery compartment was. If you gently tap it with one finger it would wobble, but when my 12 mo old pushed it, it just fell over and did nothing. I had to keep setting it back up. My baby was bored after pushing it over 3 or 4 times. You'd be better off with the older style that doesn't use batteries.

First off, it was difficult to blow up. Then once I had it filled finally...the plug kept popping out. I had to tape it down! The noises it makes are very quiet. And after just a week it started to make an annoying buzzing noise, instead of the intended noises. It was a total waste of time and money.

Our baby took one look at this toy and crawled up on Daddy's head to get away from it. We waited a month and tried again but even at 9 months, the site of the Zombie Penguin as it is now known, was like seeing a clown. Must be the eyes. And the cat can't play with it because the toy falls over when pushed a lays there. I thought it would bounce back up. You can't bat and wobble it cause it just lays there. Tried to give it to a friend but her baby was petrified too. We had to hide him in the closet.

I bought this for my 11 month old because it reminded me of the blow up penguin that Sid the Science Kid has. My daughter wasn't scared by it like some, but it is not what I was thinking it would be. The bottom of the toy is hard plastic (where the batteries go) and my daughter has toppled on it multiple times and landed face first on the hard plastic! I don't think this toy is particularly safe for little ones because of this. Also, my daughter likes to pick it up by the tufts and slam it down onto the floor. That is fine for carpet but not so good if you have wood floors.

Like another reviewer said, the toy also doesn't pop back up everytime. Sometimes it just stays on it's side.

In summary, if your child is just sitting and not mobile this toy might be okay. If your child can crawl or walk stay away from this toy.

VTech Nest and Learn Animals

I bought this as a gift for a younger child but my son who is almost 2.5 had to keep it! He loves the animals and keeps saying their names as he stacks them. The pieces are pretty easy to get on the base and you can either nest or stack them. If you nest them you can hear colors, shapes or numbers info for each one when it's placed on the base. However if you stack them the cow on the bottom is the only one that makes noise. Also, I found that when stacking them they aren't that sturdy so a younger child might get frustrated, though this isn't a problem for my son since he has more developed coordination. He loves knocking the pieces over anyway. If you don't have nesting cups then I think this is a great purchase because it's a fun take on a simple toy. They store nicely on the base too so it doesn't take up much room. I am happy with my purchase!

I bought these barrels for my son when he was 2 years old. They quickly became a favorite because you can play with them so many ways! Hide surprises in them, roll them, shake them, play with them in the bath tub or pool. Stack them, sort them in sizes and color, take them apart and let your child find the other half. Great classic toy!! My first grand daughter loved them and I was pleased to find them online for my new granddaughter. Now that I have written this I realize I need to buy myself a couple of sets for future gifts.

I teach hands-on history and when I wanted to do an activity involving general stores and barrels, I thought of the old stacking barrels toys. I'm using them to show students the various sizes goods were packed in for delivery on ships or wagons. I have some 19th century math problems to company the activity. My almost 11 month old has a blast when we play "roll the ball" together. It is very bright and holds her attention, plus it is soft and has a pleasant little twinkle when it is rolled. It's a nice change from all the other electronic sounds that come out of baby toys these days!

The only complaint that I have is the price, but as much as we have played with this, it has been worth the [price]!

We received this ball 11 years ago, when our first son was born--now our third son is four and still loves playing with it, and we're looking forward to handing it down to our new baby when he is born. The current ball being shipped out does not have the words on the ball for each color (as in the customer images). The only picture that accurately represents the ball is the first one. VTech - Touch & Teach Busy Books

This was a gift for my 13 month old daughter. From the very beginning I was having problems with it recognizing the books and turning of the pages. The on/off button is the only light and that was distracting to my little girl. She kept turning the toy on and off. I'd hear the song begin to start and then Bye! Bye! over and over. Had to press very hard with the little bee to make it respond. If I had a hard time pushing down with the bee then it was impossible for my little one to get it to work. It's a waste of money and space because it's so big. I have her full attention when I read a book to her myself. Stick with the good old fashion way of learning. I can spend this valuable time with my daughter reading to her myself than trying to make this toy work properly.

You have to use the "magic bee" to "point" to things in the book, and he couldn't do it yet. Please be aware that you CANNOT just touch things with your finger for it to work, you must use the "magic bee". The "magic bee" is on a little cord that is connected to the book, and it's still hard for him to get it to reach to where he wants sometimes. I will say that it is a relatively fun toy that he'll play with for a little while, but now it has stopped recognizing when we turn the page, so it says the wrong things. I will also warn that the song that it plays when turned on is very annoying! It comes with 4 different books, and my son only really enjoyed 2 of them because they made different noises instead of just saying a shape or color. I called the company for a replacement since it has already stopped working and they wanted me to pay for the shipping of the toy to them so I didn't go for it. It's not that great! He loves to play with his LeapPad which is similar, but you can use your finger and there are many more options with that toy.

This item is called "Brown Bear Baby Cozies Blanket". It is the most ridiculous "blanket" i've ever seen. It should be called "Little wash cloth with bear head"! They say it weights a pound, but it truly weights less than 2 ounces! I feel really doopt. Amazon is beginning to sell ANYTHING! Disappointing.

Got this as a gift for my son as a baby who is now 3 and he is still attached to this bear. He takes it places with him even though we try and discourage it because he lost it on vacation in Mexico last winter and we were so stressed to find a replacement (the tag wore off from all the washes thank God for google). He is starting preschool next week so I just ordered him a new one for his rest/nap time at school. It's super soft and washes great. Highly recommend.

They changed the facial design from the first ones we got, and my son only wanted "New Bear." So being able to swith them in and out to be washed, or if one was lost did not work any longer. Also, after he would wear the tags down.... he thought it was "old bear".. and wouldn't want it anymore. Awesome product for infants! My son slept with this from about 5 months on.... and at 2 1/2 he is still crazy about Bear!!! GET DOZENS!!! Not worth the stess of losing "it". :)
