Kettrike Happy Navigator Air

We got this tricycle for our 13 month old grandson who's tiring of his stroller for our morning walks. We got the canopy pushbar, the feet paddles (no spokes in the tires for toes to get caught in), the bell and the basket, too (not pictured as we put it on later used plastic zip ties to secure it on the handlebar so he can't tip it off). This trike is easy to put together, very well made and durable we expect this to last Jaden 'til he graduates to a bicycle. The "rideability" is comfortable enough for our 3 mile walks and it is easy to steer for him. He loves the bell! We opted for this model because of the quiet, smooth riding rubber air tires and it's worth the extra expense!

UPDATE February 2013: Grandson (almost 4) now graduating to a 2 wheeler with trainers this has been a great ride since he was 13 months old and still looks/works good as new! See pictures from "no more stroller" to "been a great ride"!

I tried the lower priced model first because it was about $100 less but ended up moving up to the Happy Navigator Air Trike. We are very pleased with the product. Assembly was fairly easy, even though the instructions suck.

The quality of this trike is miles above the first model we tried. Adjustments for size of child take seconds and the air tires make it smoother and quieter both indoor and out.

Our grandson is a special needs child and this will serve as a great training device. The free-wheeling feature works very well and the adjustments will make this trike last for years for him. Most important though is how well it works now.

Very well built, solid, and good design.

I would recommend this one if you can afford it and suggest the toe clips.

We purchased this trike for our 15 month old son for Christmas after camping with some friends who had one. It has become our son's favorite toy!! Being able to steer for him is awesome (he still thinks he is the one in control).

It's a little pricey, but well worth it. It is really well made and durable. Seems like it will last for years!

In fact, we saw one at a garage sale a few weeks ago that was about four years old. Although it had seen alot of use, it was still in great shape!

The designers of this trike solved virtually every shortcoming one would find in a trike. Most of the great features are described by other reviewers so I won't repeat them here but definitely spring for the "Air" Navigator that comes with real rubber tires. Plastic tires won't last. What I will address is the negative reviews which stem from either a lack of understanding about how the trike works or an incorrect assembly. First, this trike will absolutely allow your child to pedal, brake, or coast. That's what the 3-in-1 Auto-Freewheel was designed for. The reviewers who claim their child can't pedal haven't bothered to adjust the front wheel so the pedals rotate. Notice that the guy with the review: "so glad i didn't pay full price for this glorified stroller" bought his at a estate sale? He probably bought a different model without the Auto-Freewheel function! I recommend going to the Kettler website and watching the video. It will quickly show you how to adjust the trike because as many reviewers accurately state, the directions leave much to be desired. Everything is pictorial rather than explained in words. Second, the handle bars, if properly installed and tightened, do not "rotate freely." I would imagine everything would need re-tightening after some use which is basically applicable to any product that has a screw! I find the parent steering to work very well. Before I engaged this feature I tried steering without it and it's difficult. Most importantly, my 2 year old son loves it and because of the quality construction and adjustability, he will use it for years, easily justifying the $239 price tag.

Cozy Cruiser

I bought this jogger about 1 1/2 years ago. I have two children 11 months apart and I wanted something that didn't cost a lot that I could run/walk with and pull with my bike if I wanted. It is hard to run with since it does pull to the left. Ane yes, you do have to pop a wheelie when going around turns, but I just figured I'd build up muscles that way. My kids love the stroller and now they are 3 and 4 years old and just starting to outgrow it a little. The tires don't inflate well and there are big lumps in each one when fully inflated so the stroller doesn't roll smoothly. It takes a lot of time to put together. It is very sturdy but not compact. Unless you have a huge trunk in your car or a van or something like that, then it is pretty much impossible to take with you. I was not very happy with the trailer attachment. It didn't clamp down well on the bike so it came lose and was a pain to pull. It would slide down and as my pedal came up it would hit the attachment. I only pulled it 2 times. But in all, for the money...it works for me. I still use it now.

Though the price was right, I now wish I spent more and got a higher quality one. On most joggers, the front wheel is staionary, so that didn't bug me, infact i wanted it that way for dirt trails. However, it would go straight do to the poor design. The tires it came with will not inflate correctly and if they are fully inflated their is a huge lump in the tire. Normally, little tykes stuff is great but not with this. don't try and save money, get a quality one, this was a waste of money.

This is a really great product. It's extremly durable, like most Little Tykes products. Using it as a trailer was easy. It's easy to switch from trailer to stroller. Folded it does not take up much space. The only problem I found with it is the way it handles as a stroller. As long as you are going straight there's not much effort in pushing it. Taking turns is a bit difficult.

I just bought one second hand should have read the reviews first. I have used several jogging strollers, but this one is very poorly designed. the front wheel attachment is very unstable, and as a result, the jogger has a tendency to pull to the left spent more effort trying to keep it in a straight line than pushing it! Also, front wheel shows premature wear and warps. As a bike trailer only, it is adequate. However, attaching it to the bike can be challenging best if you can do it once and leave it on. All in all, disappointing product from Little Tykes. You get what you pay for!

This was the cutest costume I ever seen. I purchased for my son that is 14 months. He had so many compliments nor did anyone else have one like it. My granddaughter loves this toy. When she first got it, she loved just playing with the balls, now she is older she enjoys all the elements; from pounding the balls with the hammer, to playing music. This toy has grown with her and will always be a staple for me when I buy gifts for children.

Educational? Maybe for an infant to learn cause & effect, but don't expect to be able play any eight-note tunes on the glockenspiel part of the toy. They advertise two toys in one, but if your ears are offended at all by off tune scales, there goes the second toy, because it's unbearable! I got this toy about six months in advance of our 2nd boy's 1st birthday & couldn't wait for him to open it. I can't describe the disappointment I felt. The orange rung & the two purple rungs at the end are totally out of sinc with the others as far as a scale. It wouldn't have been so bad had the xylophone in the Melissa & Doug's instruments in a box been just as out of tune!

I just don't understand why they'd bother making an eight note glockenspiel if it's not going to be in tune! The toy seems to be made fairly well otherwise, all the more reason it makes no sense why the glockenspiel wouldn't be in tune. I wish I could send the thing back to the manufacturer & demand I get one that's in tune. They advertise that you can plunk out a tune--only if you have a song that requires only about 5 notes & can figure out which rungs are in the scale, or if you want the tune to be totally unrecognizable!

We are only keeping it because our son likes to pound the balls through, but I would not recommend this product to anyone.

We bought this toy for my daughter's 1st birthday. She loved it from the moment she unwrapped it. The construction is super sturdy and it seems like it will last a long time. I read the reviews before purchasing this toy that complained about the xylophone being out of tune and thought that they were being a little bit picky. It is a children's toy after all, not a real musical instrument. After playing with the toy for a bit I get where they're coming from. It's not so much that it's out of tune as there is no tune at all. Some of the keys just make a dull metal plunking sound when you strike them. I would have given this toy all the stars if it wasn't for this small defect.

Munchkin Bobble Bee Suction Toy

My baby loves the toys. She likes all of the different sounds and motions the bee makes.

I think the suction is awful. I can apply it to the high chair and within minutes, the suction is gone and it is moving all over the tray. I even tried applying it with water but that didn't help either.

The bee does not stay in the holder, either which is good and bad. It is good because my baby can take it out to play with but bad because she can drop it in the floor.

My son is almost 7 months old and seems to like playing with this a lot but it doesn't stay in the suction base very well. It is great that it is removable, so he can play with it without the base but it comes out a little too easily which makes it frustrating when the whole point of the suction cup is so the baby's toy doesn't fall out of their hand (or get thrown across the room) and you have to chase after it. The suction base stayed great to the high chair tray and to the flat surface on his jumperoo but the bee just won't stay in his little suction hive!

I purchased Cheery Cheeks, Tails the Monkey in the hopes that my 10mth old daughter would use it as a cuddly comforter. She is now 13mths old and it is her best friend and sleeps with her daily. My ten month old son loves his wheely giraffe. It withstands all of his bashing. The paint has not chipped after several months of use. The cloth ears got dirty because my son likes to chew the toy more than wheel it.

I am very pleased with this toy. My son loves playing with it. It is one of his favorites. A great alternative to cars.

When it arrived the wood on the bottom of an 'axel' had rough splinters and needed to be sanded. It is now fine.

This is really great. I use this now to entertain my baby during tummy time and I am sure she will love it when she gets older and can manipulate it herself.

I use these on my Graco Snugride infant seat. They don't really hang low enough for my 3 month old to reach, but they do provide entertainment, and she like gnawing on them when I detach and hand them to her. The three "barn babies" that I received do differ from those shown in the advertising/stock photo. It appears the company may have changed their design slightly. I prefer the ones in the photo to the ones I got, but the ones I received are still acceptable. I uploaded a photo to the gallery showing the actual ones I received.

This was a Christmas gift given by my three year old daughter to my infant daughter this year. Its perfect for both ages. My three year old tells her sisters about the letters on each piece. I was slightly disappointed that the number of pieces did not correspond to the grouping of the letters on the pages and that there were only 4 pieces. They are double sided so all the letters are on 4 pieces. The pieces seem to be missing some sensory exploration common in toys like this. Vulli Sophie Giraffe Bath Toy

I'd give this 0 stars if I could.

Sophie the Giraffe is safe for babies to chew on because it's made of natural rubber, and that's the company's claim to fame. THIS TOY IS NOT RUBBER!

I could tell immediately out of the box. A quick internet search turned up disturbing evidence that it might be made of PVC. Hello?!? Considering they're marketing it as age-appropriate for 6 months and older, and that it looks so much like the safe giraffe, I would assume any baby would naturally chew on it. Bad news for baby-and shame on the company.

We're returning it and not buying from Vulli again.

Not a bad bath toy at all....just know what you are buying in

comparison to the regular Sophie teether.

The bath toy:

-Half the size

-The legs are all one piece instead of 4 individual pieces

-The ring does not come off

-The material is not as soft or flexible

-Does not make any noise when you squeeze it

-Even when not used as a squirt toy, water will get in and have to get squeezed out regularly

My 5 month old son does like this toy though he gets a little frustrated after a while cause it isn't really a teether and he's used to being able to get one of Sophies legs into his mouth. I'm sure he'll like it even more once he's able to use it as a squirter which is what it actually is. All in all, it is still a good quality toy that I trust and would recommend it to others.

UPDATE MARCH 2011:

So, in trying to get the water out after a bath the other night, I squeezed Sophie's head and caused a slight tear around her mouth. Didn't think it was possible based on what I thought was great quality. I wont completely blame Sophie since It was actually me doing the squeezing but still. Oh well, we'll continue to use as is.

My daughter has the original Sophie the Giraffe for teething and loved it so I thought this would be a great purchase to use in the tub. The toy is not made out of the same material as the original Sophie and is super hard. It is also very difficult to get the water out of the toy once it gets inside. My baby and my 9 year old have a great time with this toy. It really cracks them up. The one problem with it is that it tips over when the baby is trying to use it to pull himself up to a standing position. This happened mostly when he first started pulling up. Mary Meyer Cheery Cheeks Lil' Lively Lion 7"

Not only is it adorable, but my grand niece took hold of it right away and it is now a treasured toy.

I purchased this toy for a 4 month old and I am pleased with it. It's well made, just the right size for tiny hands learning how to grasp and hold things, and it's very soft and cuddly.
