It was a successful gift. I like it myself because it is unusual and artistic. I bought this teether for my granddaughter. The one I purchased looked a little different from this viewing. In fact, it was much prettier and girlie. She enjoys it, but when first purchased, she was a little younger than her nine month age now. When she was smaller the end with the beads inside did not fit in her mouth. Now, she can place it in her mouth since she's older, which causes her to gag. I saw her do this today and took it away.

My advice is to use this only if this teether cannot go inside a babies mouth from any length. The larger rounded teething end is no problem, because of its size.

My mother-in-law bought this for my 5-month-old daughter who absolutely LOVES this! We've tried other teethers that my daughter just would not get interested in. The balls rattle and make enough noise that keeps her interested in it like "see what I can do!" The teether is strong and I can put the whole thing in the freezer if teething is bothering my baby. It's very easy for her to hold on to (or throw if she feels like playing her favorite game of Mommy-pick-up). The one my daughter has is green and pink instead of yellow in the middle and the hole is just big enough for her to get a solid grip with her thumb. If my baby is upset, I just shake this in front of her and her entire attention goes to the toy. Wonderful!

Pavilion Bean Bag Toss Game

Hard to keep the kids attention if that is all they are playing. A bit on the flimsy side. Would be a fun carnival game.

The Pavilion Bean Bag Toss Game is propped by a dowel rod that made it too upright. The angle was wrong and made it too difficult to hit the frogs' mouths; the bean bags just bounced off. My husband shortened the rod by 8 inches to cause the board to recline, and it was a big improvement. Our two-year-old granddaughter can do it! It is not super sturdy, but sturdy enough for the price. Not too big, not too heavy.

Very safe for younger children is the best thing about this toy! As a child development specialist, this is the first thing I look for. I was looking for toys to have at my house for grandchildren that were safe and had some learning value. This toy works. Most of the Dr. Kits are for 3 and up, but really you need that type pretend play when they are younger and more fearful of routine Dr visits. This kit was safe for my 15 month old, but enjoyed by my 3 1/2 year old. The toys are safe for younger children, but look enough like real tools for them to be able to associate it with the real Dr.'s tool. I was not sure about the 'pager', but you will be glad the buttons are hard to press, because it is noisy, hopefully they figure out how to push it when they can understand quiet time! The box is large, but it allows you to add a white shirt (Dr. Coat,)empty band aid box, etc. as they get older for more imaginative play. I wish all toys with pieces came in a reusable storage container!

When I asked my daughter about her recent Dr. visit with the 18 month old, she said it was great, she thought the Dr. play with the kit was helpful. Did not seem as fearful.

I plan to order 2 more for Christmas gifts.

The roomy "doctor bag" provides a handy container for the nine tools that are included in the set. To adults, it may seem a bit too large, but smaller children find it easy to use as they do not have to carefully pack things to have them all fit. The stethescope is particularly nice its simulated heartbeat brought shouts of glee when my grandson first used it on "Papa." While there is a pager included in the kit, the manufacturer might consider replacing it with a toy "smart phone" so it is more in keeping with current trends. The other instruments otoscope, blood-pressure cuff, thermometer, oral mirror, tweezers, syringe, and scissors provide a variety of "healthcare" options and help foster imaginative play.

"B. Doctor" is constructed and finished well. There are no rough edges that could cut tender skin and no itty-bitty copmponents that might accidentally get put somewhere they should not have gone.

"B. Doctor" is definitly a 5-star toy. However, you should be aware that the price fluctuates greatly; I have seen it on Amazon from as low as $21+ to somewhere in the $30 range. My daughter got her son's "B. Doctor" at the red bullseye store for $22, so be sure to shop around for the best price.

As a grandma, I purchased the B. Doctor Kit for my home so that the grandkids could play with it. They equally all love playing with it! The case is a bit bigger than it needs to be, but you can add items to it, such as play scrubs. The beeper is really cool and works just fine...but you have to teach the child to hold the buttons down for them to work. Once they understand that, it is no problem for them. I highly recommend this kit.

I much prefer the B. Doctor Kit to the Fisher-Price Dr Kit. My own children had that years ago and I really loved it. But now, unless you have a girl and can buy the pink set, it comes in a material tote with a simple velcro closure and the tools fall out, and there are no where near the items that there used to be in it.

I bought this for my 2 year old son after a trip to the doctor, thinking it would be fun for him to play with replicas of the same items the doctor used that day. This seemed like a nice, basic, kit. But we were terribly disappointed. For starters, the case is enormous much too large to be easily portable, and much larger than necessary for the few items that come inside of it. It's awkward and takes up too much space (plus, it doesn't even look like a doctor's medical bag!). The top is difficult to open my son can't do it himself. But worst of all was the quality and design of the items inside the case... All were made of super cheap, light, poorly molded plastic. The syringe fell apart within about 2 minutes of taking it out of the box (the plunger isn't connected to the rest of it, and promptly fell out and got lost). The stethoscope ear pieces are way too large to fit in any child's ear or any adult's ear for that matter. So uncomfortable, my son couldn't bear to use them for more than about 30 seconds. And the stethoscope isn't even a "real" working device that can pick up a heartbeat, like all the other toy kits have... the end is simply a cheap machine that makes fake "heartbeat" noises (which sound like static) when you push a button. How disappointing! The thermometer also looks/operates nothing like a real thermometer it's quite strangely designed. I returned this kit the day after buying it, and bought one by another manufacturer that was infinitely better...

The case and items inside are designed so awkwardly that a child won't find them fun or even be able to open the box. The toys inside are difficult to manipulate, the parts that move are sticky or just didn't fit right. The case is such a strange design, I don't know why there is a graphic on top that looks like a homeless person's scarf, and the box has flimsy plastic windows on the sides that will surely break in 1 or 2 uses. We sent it back as soon as we got it. Really junk.

We bought the Fisher Price Medical kit for substantially less than this one, and it is exactly what we expected for our little one.

Sassy Baby's Keys

At first glance this item seems harmless, however the rings that hold it together are made of wood. This wood is covered with some sort of veneer that comes off with little sharp edges when a baby chews on it. Our 7mo old baby has two bottom teeth and after playing with this for a day and spending a lot of time chewing on it we noticed that these little "paint chips" must have come off in her mouth. Please please don't buy this item for your child. As for us we are going to see about getting this removed from the market.

My daughter loves playing with these keys and chewing on them. There are a variety of different textures (corduroy, velour, wood, crinkle, silk knots) to feel and play with and she enjoys them all. One key is a rattle and the other squeaks when squeezed. This is a great diaper bag toy as well. The only thing I might change is to make the wooden rings a bit smaller and more rounded (they're too big to easily gum in the mouth). But I still highly recommend this toy!

Garanimals Wooden Stacking Rings

Terrible toy. I bought this for my child this weekend and already the toy looks like I've had it for years. It is not durable and the paint chips off. That can't be safe. My child will no longer be playing with this.

I was looking for a wooden ring stacker for my 13 month old, more as a decoration for his room than anything else. I searched on Amazon and saw this one, which I thought was adorable with the different colors, but I thought it was a little overpriced so I hesitated buying it. A few days later I was at Wal-Mart and glanced down a toy aisle and saw a "Garanimals" display. I decided to see if they had it because I thought I could at least save money on shipping by buying it in store. They did have it and it was not $22.99 as sold on Amazon...it was $5! Yes, $5. I bought one and I really like it, as does my son. It is a little on the small side, maybe about 10 inches tall, but the colors are very nice.

Save yourself nearly $20 and buy this from Wal-Mart. Amazon sometimes has wonderful prices, but this is not one of those times!

Binkibear The Original Pacifier, Classic Brown

I was hesitant to buy this at first because we only use the Gumdrop Pacifiers and I didn't see how I could attach those to the bear. It took some effort but I WAS able to do it (see the pictures I uploaded in the product images).

The directions I got with the bear state that it can be tossed in the washing machine pacifier and all but I have not done that. It's a personal preference, just not sure how safe it is to get laundry detergent on a pacifier, even if it's rinsed. So I wash the pacifier by hand with hot water and replace it when necessary.

When I first bought this my baby (then 8 months) did not like this bear because it was a bit heavy and it kept pulling the pacifier out of her mouth. Within a few days, though, she really got used to it. Before buying this, I was going nuts in the dark trying to locate the pacifier in her crib, and the fact that she has designs on her crib sheets didn't help matters because it was easier to lose among them! I purchased this bear to solve my problem, and it solved my baby's problem, too when she starts crying at night she locates the bear (easy enough to do, even half asleep), puts the pacifier in her mouth and falls back asleep in no time. This bear is a lifesaver!

My title says it all. This is better than any of the other ones out there, especially if you have a toddler that's always trying to figure out how to take things apart. My little one is obsessed! Thank you to who made this!!! We use nuk, natursutten, and dr browns with this guy. Only problem, where can we buy a pink one!!???

My one year old daughter LOVES her BinkiBear! It's especially great at night because she would always call us if she could not find her pacifier in the middle of the night. The teddy it is attached to is too big to fall through the crib slats like her other pacifiers so now it is very easy for her to find and put herself back to sleep! It's great to take on trips for the same reason you don't have to worry about keeping track of it or having extras "just in case". We also noticed when we take the binky off to wash, she will cuddle with the bear because she is very used to having the bear around when it's rest time. As we get ready to start weening her off the pacifier, it makes us feel better that she is just as much in love with the teddy bear as the binky and we believe it will make the transition easier for her. I also like that you can use almost any pacifier because when we first got it, she didn't like that type of binky (she does now). It also comes with a teether that you can use with it or by itself. The paci and bear have been washed probably a hundred times and its held up quite well. Would highly recommend!

This toy serves 2 purposes with my 10 months old daughter as a chewing toy and a rattle. Each maracas sounds different which adds more interest. Bright colors attracts her attention. We are happy with this toy!

Originally, I purchased a traditional set of maracas for my 8 month old baby, but he kept putting the handle in his mouth and gagging. I also realized traditional maracas weren't safe for him to play with while crawling. So I put the traditional maracas away for now and bought these. My baby likes the sound and they are easy for him to hold and put in his mouth. Each maraca makes a slightly different sound, which is nice. I attach one to my baby's stroller using the "secure a toy straps" and they are interesting to play with and shake during walks, when out to eat, etc. Overall, this is a pretty inexpensive and fun baby toy. My only complaint is that they are made in China.

My baby loves this toy. I have it hanging from the handle of his car seat. There are plenty of rings so it's easy for him to grasp when he reaches out---very nice for those still awkward, developing motor skills. The ring at the tale is perfect for mouthing/chewing on. I saw this when I was pregnant with my first baby and just loved how eco-friendly and organic it is. We received it as a gift, and I was delighted to give it my little girl to clutch when she was about four months old. Unfortunately, she has never been interested in it as a teether or as a playtoy. (She is now two and a half.) I thought maybe it was just her, but our second baby has shown no interest in it either ever and he is now 13 months old. I think it's been played with for less than two minutes in all the time that we've had it, even when I have handed it to them and there have been no other toys in sight. It might be just my children, but I think babies are more interested in something that is thinner, brighter, and easier to hold. The Sassy Bumble Bites Teether -1 Toy, for example, is not so eco-friendly, but both of my babies have loved it for teething.

As much as I want to like this little teething bear, it has been completely useless for my babies. If you're looking for a teether for your own baby or as a gift, I'd recommend finding something bright and BPA free. It will be far more useful than this item will be!

My baby likes chewing on the little arms of the bear but they don't seem to get all the way back to his molars which he gets frustrated with sometimes. Still, it's nice to know that my baby is chewing on something non-toxic!

I bought this toy for my baby and two more to give as gifts. After a few days of being chewed on, the seams on one of the little arms gave and it came almost entirely free. This is a huge choking hazard! I'm going to remove that arm completely and probably take the other one off as well (there is solid fabric underneath) so I don't have to worry. If I do give the other two as gifts, I'll be sure to give them with a strong warning. However, I'll probably just be returning them. Very disappointing that such a cute, natural product turned into a danger to my infant.

Kind of neat toy, but not as interesting as I thought it would be. The beads don't slide well down the spokesthey frequently get stuck. The "rain stick" noise its supposed to make is barely noticeableI think it needs more beads in the center. The center does spin when the beads fall back and forth, and looks good. It also has a squeaker on one end and a blue and yellow ball that spins in the other end. My one year old is not as interested in it as I thought she would be. Not a bad toy, but not sure it was worth the purchase.

When I first heard of Taggies, I thought was a silly idea, but my 1 year old loves these things. I started recognizing that he was playing with the tags on his blankets and jackets towels. So I decided to buy one of these things, and he absolutely love it. I bought the fleece blanket surrounded by tags, and he would be in his crib playing with it quietly. My eight month old son got this toy for Christmas, and of course it was only one of many. Upon first impressions, I thought it was a cute ball and the sound effects are pretty funny. Then I started rolling it around and he had zero interest in it. Well, a week later and this ball is by far my son's favorite toy! He is trying to crawl and this ball is giving him a reason to get across the floor. He rolls from side to side, past other toys, to get to this one. That says a lot!! Overall, it's a fun toy and the monkey sound effects are great. Definitely worth the price.

My 7 month old LOVES this thing. The monkey self-rights itself when the ball rolls, making it a target for my son to chase down. The sounds really grab his attention. Great buy.

Purchased this for our five month old female who enjoys playing with it for around 5 8 minutes at a time. This toy feels quite sturdy and I did not note any structural concerns that other reviewers mentioned. The toy rolls a little two well on hard surfaces (easily gets away from the non-mobile kid) but still rolls well on our carpeted service (not a shaggy carpet, but some give.) I can understand the sound being loud/scary for the child and loud/annoying for the adult, however neither of them occurred in our case and we usually seek out the toy to play with it with her.

For those wondering about design. The monkey does stay upright and 'giggles' whenever the ball is pushed. You can only push the ball left and right for the monkey to rotate with it (not forwards and backwards) as the it rests on a 'belt' that wraps around the ball. No small parts nor sharp parts that should be concerning for the infant.

In conclusion, solid toy that our child enjoys (and we do too.) Would recommend buying it, though it is a little different as I have not seen anything like it before (but that is a good thing here.)

This toy was given to us as a gift for my newborn (who is now 1 year old). I have since bought one for my niece. The reasons I highly rate this toy is because it was great in the beginning for my daughters tummy time and learning to lift her head and now at the age of one she still likes to walk up to it and have a look in the mirror at herself. It is also great for teaching babies 'cause & response' because as they knock it it makes a noise. As for durability, well my daughter had reflux and I can tell you now this poor toy went through the ringer. Gross as it may sound, she even vomited on the speaker which I have cleaned but it still works very well.

When we received this, the mirror was hazy around the edges. Also, when we attached it to her crib, it falls forward because it's so heavy. This would be alright for playing on the floor, but as for the crib, I wouldn't recommend it. I also noticed it's very sensitive. This is not a good crib toy but is otherwise a fun toy to play with.

This toy is very difficult/impossible to attach securely to a crib. Instead of trying to attach it I just put it down next to my son and let him play with it that way.

The lights and sounds are extremely sensitive-the slight vibrations created by someone walking by this toy are enough to set them off. It's therefore not a great toy to leave on in the crib as it would constantly be going off and waking the baby up (there is an off switch if you want to turn off the lights and sounds but this would seem to defeat the purpose of the toy).

My son really enjoyed playing with this toy when he was in the two-four month age range. He liked being able to look at himself in the mirror and was always excited to be able to turn on the lights and music all by himself(pretty much any movement he made would turn them on).

My 6 month old loves this wooden toy. It's made well and I love that it's wood and not PVC. It's truly a great find for a teething baby.

This is a cute little teether. I acutally bought this as a replacement for one that got ruined in the dishwasher....NOTE: DO NOT PUT THESE WOODEN TOYS IN THE DISHWASHER. Maybe that seems obvious to some people but I like to sanitize the baby's toys every now and then and so i just threw it in the top rack yikes!) It is holding up okay with handwashing the paint has chipped just a little but baby E seems to still enjoy it.
