I thought this item was overpriced for what it was. It looked bigger in the picture. I thought it wasgoing to be a good object for a blind, disabled child, but it really was not.

Fisher-Price Little People Open and Close SUV

This little SUV is adorable, and my kids like it. It only has room for Mom and Baby in it , you can't pack the whole family in. My daughter is a little sad the doors don't open, I wish they did.

I paid $8 for this and would recommend not paying the full $17 Amazon has it listed for. It's cute but not worth the $17 IMO.

This little people SUV is a cute addition to the Little People House our daughter has. It sings a cute song, and makes some fun car sounds. It has a few movable parts. It's nothing too fancy, but our 21 month old daughter enjoys pushing her different little people around in it for pretend play. It is also very durable, as it's been dropped and stepped on already.

I bought this on clearance right before Christmas, since the price was so good and my daughter likes Little People toys. She just turned two and has been enjoying it, but I was surprised that for an "Open and Close SUV" that neither of the doors actually open. The back hatch opens and the little luggage thing on top opens, but that's about it. There's a cute little song that plays when you put the mom in the front seat and it also honks its horn.

Infantino Pod, Monkey

I saw this in a recent issue of Parents magazine. According to their write up on it "This adorable music player lets you create a playlist of five songs." We aren't so sure that's the case. After receiving the two we ordered (one for my daughter, the other for a friend), we realized there are absolutely no instructions, and there is already music on it. No where on the packageing does it say you can record your own music. I'm sure that Parents magazine really increased sales on this toy, since it doesn't seem to be in stock anywhere. I want to warn people before they order it. I am glad we looked at it before we gave it to our friend for her first birthday. How embarrassing it would have been to give her such a cheapy gift for such a big event.

I have emailed the company in hopes that I am wrong, and they can tell me how to record music onto it. If they are able to help, I will revise my review.

I heard back from Infantino, and we were correct, you can not record music on it. They were very helpful and apologetic. My issue is with Parents Magazine, not with Infantino. But in the end we did return the Monkey Pod.

When I received this I thought it was really cute. But as the other person said, NO INSTRUCTIONS. I too looked online and couldn't find any. I didn't call the company, I just keep trying to figure out how to record. Mine actually didn't have the large RECORD on the front, only a picture with a microphone on it. And there is a place in the bottom where you can connect what I thought would be a microphone. Figured out later it is to put headphones like the ones that go with a computer so you can listen that way. Anyway, you push the RECORD or the MICROPHONE PICTURE and put your mouth close and record. To get your voice to record (I wanted to sing 10secs of a song I sing to my granddaughter) you have to almost YELL. But it eventually does work. Cute concept, not so great product.

We got this for Christmas, and my daughter (8 months old) loves to dance in her high chair to the music. I saw that it has a microphone on it, so i assumed it recorded, but had no clue where any packaging for it, let alone directions post Christmas craziness. So i looked around online, and then i played with it, pretty easy to get it to record (right after it say's 'lets record' ) It's not stereo quality by any means, its rough sounding, but its the music and beat that my daughter it enjoying.

This item is pretty easy to use, you simply press the mic button and record your/child's voice and then press it again when you're done. Then it will be one of the 4 options of songs the toy plays.

However, the ability it has to record is horrible. I had to YELL into it, to get it to even slightly pick up my voice and when it played it back, it was so quiet you wouldn't be able to hear it unless the rest of the room is silent.

Also since it's so easy to record, my kids randomly press the mic button and record but it's usually just garbled movement/noise. Which puts a break in the cute music that the toy has automatically set up in it.

With all that being said, my kids (1yr and 2.5yrs) do love the toy, and quibble over it. It's just a disappointment that the cool idea of record feature doesn't work very well at all and was very poorly executed.

Infantino Activity Triangle

We recieved this as a part of a gift box my mom bought at costco's. I didn't think much of it when I saw it but it was bright and colorful.

Also in the package was a blue hippo that had blocks inside it and a plunger to push them out. Frankly speaking my 6 month old (at the time, now 7months) didn't know what to do with it, and it didn't capture his attention.

However wow! This gadget Triangle! My Goodness!! There is so much to look at and do, he is captivated by it. :)

He'll play with one side of the triangle for so long that he forget it has activities on the other sides. So every 10 minutes or so, I'll flip it and he will gurgle with renewed enthusiasm and start playing with the 'new' side!

When my son gets sleepy and lies back on his nursing pillow, often I'll hold it up and turn it back and forth so he can watch the 2 gears race up and down. One of them moves in a zig zag pattern and the other spins, its even fun for me to watch. As a side note, its great exercise for your wrist. It also makes a pleasant sound, when the tiny balls rattle, sounds like your shaking a box of salt, not too loud, perfect for a drowsy baby.

I also like that:

1. It has so many toys on it but is just one piece, so no lost parts or cleanup.

2. No batteries needed.

3. Its not a loud toy, just loud enough.

I highly highly recommend this toy, its really a bargain!

At 9 months, my child is still crazy about The Triangle. I believe the whole Infantino gift box with both toys was $. And no batteries needed. :)

What a bargain!

We were looking for a new toy for our then six month-old daughter, when a kind stranger recommended the Triangle as one her child had found entertaining. We looked closer at it and realized just how much was going on in this toy each side has multiple different actions, shapes, colors and activities, and there are spinners, rattles and mirrors too. In essence, you gain five sides of activity, and can extend the entertainment value of the toy by periodically rotating it for younger kids so that it always presents something new. As they become stronger, they begin to discover that it can be picked up and shook for added interaction, and will also begin rotating to different sides themselves.

While it is just slightly on the large size for easy portability, when we did have room, we were sure to pack it for trips as this one toy provides far more entertainment than carrying multiple others. Plus, it is well made and very durable. Now at 16 months, our daughter still carries this around as one of her favorite toys. We love it and she does too! We'll certainly be hanging on to this one for the next baby! A tremendous value!

I got this for my four and a half month old thinking she would like it in a few months, but she picked it up right away. This toy got her to sit upright for more than a few seconds. She can play with this toy for twenty minutes, turning it over and playing with each side. It is by far her favorite toy and she moves around to get closer to it. She can also sit and play with it in her high chair, which is great for when we go out or have company over.

We love this toy. I can't face all the flashing lights and music that is on every toy at the toy stores now, so I looked online for something to entertain our budding explorer. Our seven month old absolutely LOVES this toy. He can stay fascinated with it for extremely long periods of time, and I love that it is all about him driving the action, not the toy itself. We also bought the Curiousity Cube at the same time, which I like, but not as well. Definitely would recommend.

I love this toy and highly recommend it. My sister gave one to my boys when they were 3-1/2 months, and they obviously weren't interested. At about six months, we showed it to them again. It instantly became a favorite. The boys are almost a year old now, and it is still one of their most played with toys. In fact, I have to be careful that they don't fight over it.

There are five sides to the toy. One side has beads that can be moved along wiggly posts. Aother side has large balls and other-shaped objects that slide along straight posts. The third side has a mirror that flips around. The next side has two gears that are moveable, and the final side has two textured flat pieces that spin. There are tiny balls throughout the edges, so it makes noise when you shake it, but it's not a loud toy. My boys love it. They play with one side and then flip it and play with the other, over and over. This toy holds their interest longer than any toy we have so far. I wish I could find something similar that is just as good, but I haven't so far.

Nuby Fun Keys Teether Ring

This toy is pretty heavy for my 5 month old, but because if the removable keys, he can still play with it minus a key or two. The weird black and white ball is what gets my son's attention right away, but the sound the key make is a nice clacking sound and keeps him interested. The keys also have rubbery nubs on them so they provide a nice sensory experience. But the best thing about these keys is the little ribbon shreds at the top of the striped ball... My son is in love and caresses them and chews on them whenever he plays with this. It's pretty funny. Good quality toy.

Boutht this for my twins. It ends up just sitting around. It's very heavy so not really something they like to play with. The plastic is hard to so they have smacked it on their heads. There are plenty of other teethers out there that are softer/lighter. Not something I would recommend

We bought this for our 2month old...not interested, even scared her a bit due to loud crinkle noise. Fast forward to 3 1/2 month old and BIG difference. She gets VERY excited when she sees it. She is now 5 months and still loves it. She loves the crinkle ears and nose now that she is teething. Fisher Price: Roll-Along Pals Snail

My 15-month old enjoys playing with this. She mainly wants to hear the alphabet song and doesn't press the individual letter/color buttons very often. It's small enough for my child to carry easily, and the wheels roll well even on carpet. I wish it had more letters than A-D, but as my child gets older we will find other ways to encorporate learning the alphabet. Also, if you press the same button multiple times, it says something different. I.e. if you press the yellow button once, it will say the letter, but the second time you press it it will say 'yellow.'

My kid doesn't really like to push it around she just liked the buttons and would bop around to the alphabet song. I don't find it annoying at all. When she could walk I tied a ribbon around it to make it a pull along toy and now she likes that it has wheels. This isn't a toy she plays with EVERY day but she likes it well enough that I'm glad we bought it for her. I know there is a similar toy that is a turtle and I thought it was cuter but the reviews said the song was obnoxious and would last forever. I picked this one from the reviews and I'm glad I did. I think it's cuter that the picture shows and I like the song on it.

I chose this toy for it's educational value, seemed durable and buttons are easy to push. It sings the ABC song, states a few primary colors and the first A-D of the alphabet. My daughter played with this toy for 10 minutes when she first got it at 6 months old. Never gave it the time of day after that. I would however attribute that to her huge collection of light up toy that sing. This one is just the most boring out of the bunch. I believe that if she had half the amount of toys she may have wanted to play with it. Now 8.5 months old she looks at it, grabs it, puts it in her mouth, then drops it and turns the other way. I thought it was $10 gift when I received it. I can't believe they want more than double that retail. Not worth it and did not get my daughters attention.

My daughter received both this and the turtle exactly like this as gifts at approx 14 months of age. She likes to push cars so we thought she would love these. Initially she liked these but now they are boring to her. The buttons don't really do much and the same song plays over and over again. She has toys that do a lot more/play a wider variety of melodies, (which are actually less expensive) that have kept her attention. Both the turtle and the snail have been dropped and thrown and are still in great condition so I feel they are pretty durable.

I bought this lovely doll for my daughter (5m old). The doll is very soft and cuddly, naïve in a good way, and has good proportions. It has long soft hands and legs so it's easy to grasp and hold, and it has different textures, so my daughter explores it with interest, while making sounds of joy... Its colors are nice and calm, and in my opinion, it's a very aesthetic doll. I didn't try to wash it yet, but I love the fact it is machine washable.

Sassy Circle Rattle

I have three children 1.5, 2.5, 5.5 years old but when they were first born, even before they where able to hold it for themselves, this was a favorite. It would entertain them much longer than any other toys. I really like the SASSY toy collection but by far this was my favorite in the collection! It is a great baby shower gift. This is the best rattle we have. Our baby loves it and grabs for it whenever she catches sight of it. It's a great teether too, because the plastic has a bit of 'give' to it. The colors are typically eye-catching for Sassy toys, and the added beads in the clear part of the ring keep baby entertained, too. It makes a good racket, but won't hurt if baby bangs her head with it. All in all, a great toy!

My 5 month old girl loves this rattle. Shake it in front of her and she stares at it, and immediately reaches for it. Sometimes she shakes it, sometimes it goes straight into her mouth (she's beginning to teethe). Either way, it's clear she enjoys it and it catches her interest. My only complaint is that it is a bit hard, and she bangs herself in the head with it, but not hard enough to hurt her. This is a great rattle.

I received this beautiful jointed bear only to discover that the bear's joints did not work and the bear could not be posed so I returned it to Caught By Surprise where I ordered it from. The problem was due to bad Chinese manufacturing practices. Bath Squirters: Ocean In Bag, 4 pc

This is the 2nd set of Alex bath squirters that we've purchased. We really wanted the ocean animals to go with his bathtub. He loves playing with the toys, and his baths go a lot longer now. Really fast shipping on the company's part, too. We had the toys in 3 days from order.

My son loved these toys and used them every night in the bath. He would suck and chew on them. We would squeeze out the water after each use and one evening found that mold came out with the water. Make sure you adequately clean these toys after every use!

However, they are difficult for her to squeeze and get the water to come out. My little ones all seem to love bath toys and these were their favorites. The one problem, they all got moldy. At first, I threw out toy after toy, and then one day, I started cleaning them with a simple bleach solution. I just filled my sink with ater, pured a small about (about 1/4 of a cup or so your bleach will usually have a recommendation on the back of the bleach) in and "cleaned" the toys by filling them about halfway and shaking the solution around. It kills the mold and cleans the toys. Just make sure to rinse them thoroughly inside and out after you are finished with the bleach. It takes a litte while, but the bleach not only removes mold, but usually prevents it at least for a littel while.

I am happy to say that I stopped throwing out these littls and I still have my "bath squirters". The kids just love to play with them in the tub, aim them at the shower wall and when we are doing a bubble bath, they "knock out" the bubbles. Cute, durable and fun. Can't beat it.

Wooden Pull Along Caterpillar

I bought this for my 9-month-old daughter thinking that she'd need to grow into it but she loved it right away. She crawls after it along the floor when I pull it and it's made a good distraction to keep her from chasing the dog and cats around constantly. She also will sit and pull on the string herself then push the caterpillar away to do it again. This is a wonderful toy that we'll be having fun with for quite awhile!

This toy has many different learning options. It is very interactive.

1. Moves great on carpeted surfaces! (unlike most moterized toys)

2. Fun educational songs about different animals play when animal is placed in driver's seat.

3. You can buy many add ons for this toy with different zoo animals.

4. FYI...Note to consumer: You need to pull out the clear tag from the bottom of the train in order for it to work correctly (otherwise it will operate in demo mode).

5. The biggest complaint that I might have about this toy is the train car add ons and how they attach to each other. The additional train cars have hook and string add ons that tend to fall of easily during play. An older child might not have such a problem with this.

6. The animals make clicking sounds when the joints are moved. The bottom of each animals foot/hoof have textures and shapes.

7. Some of the animals even make the appropriate sound for that animal...like the monkey.

8. Has stationary mode and moving mode.

Overall, very neat toy. My 9 month old really enjoys it.

This is part of a new line, so I did not have much advance feedback on the product. However, my daughter got it for a first birthday and she loves it. The animals are durable and fun to position (they sit, stand, etc. without tipping over). The train moves well when the smokestack is pushed, but this feature can be turned off and my daughter likes pushing the cars around. We even bought an extra animal (sold separately) she loved it so much.

I think its great even for an older child and a toddler neighbor loves it. It is a good toy for pretend play with the animals and the train cars are sturdy enough to hold other things (blocks, etc.)

Overall, a great toy at a time when it is hard to find toys that are safe, yet encourage active and creative play (that 12-24 months range).

This animal train is an adorable toy. My 2 year old has this and she loves it. 2 or 3 is definitely not too old for this. It's really cute and not so babyish that it seems inappropriate to give to this age.

It's nice that this train goes so well on carpet, unlike some other toys. There is no problem with that.

My daughter especially likes the sturdy, colorful animals that came with this. Her set came with a giraffe, an elephant, and a monkey. The giraffe's & elephant's joints make cool clicking noises when you move them around. This is very appealing to little kids. Our monkey is not jointed and makes no sounds. A previous reviewer said something about the monkey making sounds. That person must have been referring to a monkey that came in a separate set because the one pictured here doesn't do anything.

One thing my husband and I don't like about this train is the singing. Singing is good, don't get me wrong. It's just that the woman's voice on this thing is LOUD and annoying and she isn't singing known songs. There are 2 volume choicesloud and louder. We ended up putting a few layers of tape over the speaker holes & it's still loud. As for the songs on this, I'd think "I've been working on the railroad" or something like that would have been nice rather than the made up nonsense that this train has. It would also be nice if the train would run without the music turned on, but it doesn't.

Overall, great toy but horrible music.

I had originally bought this toy for my 8 month old, (as the package said it's for 6months+)... but when I gave it to him to play with, he didn't really seem that interested. Instead, my 21 month old daughter took it and has a blast with it! It keeps her occupied for several hours a day as she tried to position the animals and put them on the train etc... She LOVES this toy and we can't wait until the other animals arrive! I wouldn't buy this for a younger child (under 12 months) but is perfect for a 12-30 month range.

We bought this train when our son was 6 months old, after watching him thoroughly enjoy one at a cousin's house. He loves it and we are thrilled that we bought it. He has played with it ever since, and even more than any other toy he has. Not only that, but every child that has come to our house has enjoyed it, whether they were 6 months old up to 9 years! It simply captivates children of all ages. This thing is super cute and extremely durable. Even after repeated abuse (beating on it, throwing it, standing on it, even puking on it ;), it runs like a top! It even runs great on carpet! The batteries last surprisingly long on it too. In a year and a half, I think I've only changed them twice, and considering how much it is played with, that is remarkable.

It is a noise-maker, with songs and sounds, but there is a low and high volume switch (as well as an off switch) and the low setting is very tolerable. The music is really great--anything gets annoying after it's repeated many times of course, but all things considered, these songs are very well done and I enjoy them.

Just a side note that has probably already been mentioned: if you get all the train cars and hook them up, the engine isn't quite strong enough to pull them all. And then, it may do better on a hard floor rather than carpet--I haven't actually tried that. Nevertheless, that hasn't ruined the experience for my child in any way. He loves this toy, and the animals all by themselves are enough to entertain for long periods.

One more small thing: you have to buy all the rest of the train pieces and extra animals separately. This can get pretty pricey. I have seen a few deals where you can get a couple of cars and animals in a multi set for a better price. We had grandparents and friends who were encouraged to add pieces for my son's birthday and Christmas, so it actually worked out quite well. All in all, this toy gets a A+ from our family, and I would totally recommend it to anyone!

Fisher-Price Rock Roll 'n Ride Trike

I thought I'd have my son Connor demonstrate how this tricycle passes the toddler test.

This is so reasonable in price and provides so much fun for so long. We gave it to my son when he was one year. He is two and still uses it every day. He can't do the pedals yet but he goes around the block on this propelling himself with his feet. Its extremely sturdy and balanced and is not prone to tipping. In fact, he has only fallen a couple times and that was when he got on or off and just didn't swing his leg over it far enough. Yep, there are more expensive nicer looking trikes, but this is fun and relatively safe even before they can pedal. And my son still has fun to come on this one once he learns to pedal! Update: My son used this trike until he turned 6!

I purchased the previous version of the Rock, Roll & Ride for my eldest son when he was two. The idea is great -anyone with at least one kid knows that multitasking toys are a wonderful idea. However, as a tricycle, this does have a few flaws.

The biggest flaw we found is with the plastic "tires." They look cute, but are really slippery, so they don't grip the ground well. My son had a really hard time learning to pedal because he'd get the movements right, but the trike wouldn't go anywhere... he just literally spun his wheels. Then, my husband wrapped rubber bands around the tires to help them get some traction, and that helped Jake long enough to get the hang of it. Also, if you use this outside, the tires get pretty scraped up, so you might not want to bring it back indoors where it could scratch your floors.

Another flaw was the short push handle, but according to the specs for this model they have lengthened the pushbar, which can only be good. I'm 5'6" and I thought it was too short for me before.

Lastly, I think this item has a short life span for your child. Jake turned three years old at the end of January, and he's really outgrown it in terms of what the trike can do. The ride just isn't smooth enough to justify him using for real "bike riding."

I've read a lot about trikes tipping, and if I think about it, this does tip, but not all that often, so that's a good feature.

Finally, I guess this is a good recommendation as an indoor toy. For a longer-lasting outdoor toy, I'd try one of the Kettlers.

This is a great toy. We gave it to my best friend's daughter for her 2nd birthday and she loved it instantly. There is NO design flaw. What people have trouble with is that when you screw together the wheel fork & steering wheel, the hole is only pre-drilled to a certain point. The other 3/4" you need to drill in yourself-into the plastic so that it stays secure. If it were pre-drilled all the way in, it would fall out. It's like that on purpose!

That said, the a power screw driver or drill with a screwdriver bit worked great. You also need a hammer to tap in some pieces on the wheels. It was easy to assemble.

I was a little worried about the handle height. I'm 5'8" and I could easily push it without bending over. I think people over 5'10" would have to bend down. Since the mom is going to be doing most of the pushing, and she's shorter than me, it won't be a problem. I hear the XL version of this trike has a longer handle.

It's really easy to convert from rocker to trike, and her 5-year-old cousin figured it out in under 5 minutes. The seat is adjustable to accommodate growth.

We have three of these as each of my boys received one for their first birthday and I think they are great. The only problem is I wish they were all at the same house two are by their Grandparents 3000 miles away while my three fight over the one we have at home. Makes we want to go buy one or two more. My six year old still loves to ride it even though he has moved onto a big boy bike because he can really zoom around the corners without getting nervous. The little foot rest doesn't do much but not a huge problem. Found that it worked best in the rocking mode when off the carpet. The handle is great as not only am I able to push them but they push each other. It really manuvers well. My almost 2 year old tries to pedal it but is not quite big enough so he just zooms around with foot power. All in all a great toy that after 5 years of constant use shows no signs of "decay" how many toys can you say that about?

Tomy John Deere Push and Go Truck

Not nearly as sturdy as one would expect. My grandkids were not impressed! Poor wheel design. Not worth the price.

The brand name will be fun for a lot of adults, and if our granddaughter is any example, even more fun for a toddler.

My baby loves these and I love how they are safe with no buttons or anything that I have to worry about coming off and are super easy to clean, just throw them in with the rest of the baby laundry. They seem to be durable and are holding up great! They are super soft, cute and baby loves the tags to play with. Definitely recommend these!

This duck is so cute and soft, my 9 month old loves feeling the fur and silk and enjoys the tags. Great item even though it is a little expensive for what it is.

Alex Jr. Wash and Dry Toy

This toy is wonderful if your infant loves to put toys in buckets and remove them and repeat. It comes with different "outfits" on crinkly fabric. My son loves to push these in the washer top and take them back out again. The "soap bottle" attached to the side of the toy has a squeaker in it that he can squeeze. This is a fun, cute toy.

The only negative is that there are a lot of fabric clothes and that makes it a little more of a hassle for mommy to pick up all the pieces scattered across the living room floor/under the couch when he is done playing.

My daughter loves this toy! I got this for her when she was about 1 year old. She loves taking stuff out of bigger things and putting them back in. The crinkly laundry bits can be quite annoying because my daughter likes to throw them everywhere.

She doesn't play with it much, but it is something different for her every so often. She likes to drag it out every once in a while and plays with the squeaker and throws the laundry around.

The whole thing is very soft, so if you kick it, it won't hurt your toes like a lot of toys do!

Pretty good toy. I'm pleased with this purchase. :-)
