I bought this book for my twin grandchildren (now 9 months old). The four pages for photos were just right for mommy, daddy, and one for each baby. Of course, the book goes in their mouths first. They do turn the pages and look at the photos. I think that they will discover how to remove the photos from under the plastic page soon.

I bought this for a class project, not a baby/child. Note that there is no velco to close the photo pocket so I'm thinking any child with a pincer grasp could get the photos out. Also, it's a tight fit for 4x6 photos.

Most of all, the colors are not a vibrant as shown online. But overall, awesome product.

We bought this for our grandson when we went away on a trip so he would remember us when we got back. I wanted something very sturdy, but not plastic. The colors and designs are engaging, and you can put good sized pictures in it. He has always seemed to enjoy this a great deal.

This is the perfect first picture album! Even without pictures it captured my 5 month old's attention and she is so happy when it is in her hands. Her favorite part is the tag of course! The bright happy faces and patterns are great and it is a great way to help babies establish recognition of family and friends who they may not see every day. It is a little spendy but worth the money in my opinion. I even put it through the wash (prior to pictures being put in) and it came out fine (skipped the dryer though).

I actually returned this.. I disappointed.. This is okay toy but description of this was different when I received it. There was no white frame to hold each toys on th cover of tool box. So I made all mess when my son opened the box.

Playskool Busy Ball Drop

Got this for my son who is on the spectrum. He loves the noises that it makes and putting the balls in. My speech therapist recommended it to me (she used it as a reward in his discrete trial sessions). I recommend it too!

Such a cute toy! Perfect for 1 year olds and younger. I would say it would help with counting and colors with the balls included. Plays sound when the balls drop through the hole. Will keep youngins occupied!

Phoenix R/C Pro Simulator V4.0 w/DX5e

Year 1990 I last flew a Radio Control airplane. The Phoenix simulator is amazing ralistic practise getting me ready to fly my 22 lb, twin engine, 9 ft wing span model airplane again. I purchased the Phoenix simulator software in a box with transmitter and USB cable connecting the transmitter to the computer. I have 5 favorite models that I practise on ranging from Cesna 185 trainer, F-16 ducted fan, a bi-plane, and a fully aerobatic advanced stunt aircraft. I believe my re-training is nearly as good on the simular as at the flying site. I am thrilled with the realism and the practise.

The Pheonix Simulator runs on Windows 7. However, my host computer is a MacBook Pro 17" notebook running Microsoft Windows 7 under Parallels Virtual machine. The 2012 MacBook Pro has graphics acceleration, 8 GBytes main memory, Intel i7 quad core CPU clocked at 2.4 GHz, and a larger 22" high resolution expansion screen attached where the airfield and aircraft are viewed. The CPU performance monitor shows that all four i7 CPU cores are as much as 50% loaded where more than half of the CPU loading is system overhead that includes the Parallels virtual machine processing required to make Windows 7 run on the MacBook. Running Pheonix on a Windows 7 computer or on a Mac using Bootcamp should reduce the overhead.

Good Graphics acceleration is surely required. I experience no pauses or interruptions to the audio or visual simulation. The installation was faultless which is one reason I bought the transmitter and adapter cable with the software all in one package. Pheonix has done an excellent job making the product easy to install and to begin RC flying.

I am a 100 hour pilot of real air planes and estimate 400 hours (long ago) RC flyer. The feel of each model seems true to life, where power (thrust), weight, wing loading, aerodynamics, sound, visual affects, graphics design, physics are all accounted for. Good unrealistic features are the engines and motors run perfectely, never run out of fuel or battery power, and crashes don't break your heart. However, good landings are just as beautiful (and difficult) as the real thing.

I'm still a new Phoenix user and have not explored all that the simulator can do (like multiple fliers, pilot view, etc). I've used it for 6 hours and feel confident I can get my big aircraft up and back down in one piece. I've learned to control the power better than I used to. Recommend choosing the viewing option to keep the ground in the field of view. I love the product. It has worked flawlessly.

This is a great product. Very realistic. Will be evaluating flight dynamics against some actual models but so far, I'm pleased with this simulator.

This is a good way to learn how to fly RC airplanes and helicopters. Just what you will save in crash repairs makes it worth it!

The other main simulation product is also good, but its controller is only for PC usage, whereas this one includes a "real" Spektrum Dx5e radio which means that you can then buy BNF aircraft and not have to buy another radio.

The only caveat is tat the Dx5e is a good quality but fairly basic radio, and if you want to go up into computer mixed radios you will have to buy another one at sometime, but at least this will get you started. The fancier radios are significantly more expensive, so try this first to see if you really like this hobby.

I did find that if your airplane gets very far away it is hard to see and keep visual orientation on the screen, and while that is a real-life issue in RC flying, the limited resolution on computer screens exacerbates it.

One downside for me was that it did not have my actual RC Helio (the msrX), but since it is very new, I still hope they will add it, and they did have its very similar predecessor the msr.

Run the simulator on a laptop and connect the output to a big-screen TV; now that's a great toy!

If you are planning on getting into RC flying, this is a must have. I have flown rc planes for about a year but after flying on this simulator I have done much better when I fly for real. I really believe that if you have never flown an rc plane you could use this simulator for a few hours then go out and fly a plane with no problem at all. It is so real expecially when your using the same transmitter (or close to it ) that you would be flying with, not using a mouse and keyboard to fly is why this is so life like.

My kids aren't too impressed with it and I wasn't impressed with the flashlight. It's not a true flashlight, it just flickers a 3 light color for about 15 seconds and shuts off, and it isn't very bright. It's very durable though, I am impressed. Both my children LOVE the tumble top though. When my littlest one was 3-7 mos he would sit and giggle in amazement at it constantly. It's worth it just for that.

Chicco Count-with-Me Teddy Bear

I bought this bear because it speaks Spanish and English. I thought it would teach Spanish like some toys do, like say the word in English first then Spanish but it just has setting were you can change it to Spanish or English. The on and off switch is hard to turn on and off so I just left it on. I'm not really impressed with the activities the bear does. I guess because we had the Fisher Price Laugh and Learn Learning Puppy and it has a verity of really cute songs on it and it is only $15.00 at amazon.

Doesn't have all the functions I hoped it would. Songs are catchy but not sure I would buy again. Super sensitive. Makes noise even when I'm nowhere near it. "Ha ha ha, where are you?" Makes me want to lock it up in another room. The off switch doesn't really work. I hope this doesn't go off in the middle of the night and wake up my son when he comes.

Our baby received this bear for Christmas, when they were 6 months old, and they've had it for 6 months now. The bear's feature set is somewhat limited, but our baby loves. One ear has "crinkly" material in it which he loves playing with for the texture and sound. The 3 buttons on the chest seem to be of high quality, and that is what our baby interacts with the most; they almost remind me of the buttons on the big video game cabinets of yesteryear. The buttons also light up, and there seems to be a phrase and a short song for each button (1, 2 and 3). The bear can be in English or Spanish, but it certainly doesn't seem to be setup to teach either language, just to give you the option. There are some motion sensors in the bear, where it will declare that it feels dizzy when moved quickly, etc. The on/off button is a bit trickier to use than the chest buttons, but they are worth using, because the bear will speak up after not being played with for a while "where are you?" and "night night". Bumping the doll with your foot will wake it back up, so you have to be careful when you're dealing with a light sleeper; best to shut it off. The bear has other features on it, like a paw that is "ticklish", but so far, our baby only plays with the ear and the chest buttons. Our baby seems attached to this particular toy, even though we have other stuffed animals with similar features, so it's a winner from our point of view.

Spin Ball by Tiny Love

My daughter has had this toy since she was three months old and at six months still loves it. It's easy to clutch and the nubbly outside make it fun to mouth. The picture doesn't do it justice. The colored ball pieces move so that there is always a small part open which reveals a littly guy inside who has a smiley face and rotates. The inside of each part of the ball has a mirror finish which makes it visually quite interesting. When the outide pieces move they make a nice clacking sound and there is a rattle in the guy inside. Stimulates senses of touch, hearing and vision as well as curiousity and problem solving.

I bought my son a light-up phone that makes hundreds of noises and this yesterday. He has hardly touched the phone and can't put this "low-fi" toy down. The "slices" have mirror on the inside, it makes a great clicky noise and a rattle in the middle. He can also grip the slices easily.

So many toys for babies are overstimulating lights, loud noises, battery draining monstrosities. This ball is excellent. It has enough going on to keep our 11 month olds interest moving parts, clacking of pieces, rattling, smiley faces, relections.. but no loud blaring noise, no seizure inducing lights.. nothing to drive Mom and Dad batty. I'm actually ordering a second one for my Brothers 3 month old. Definitely a great toy. It's about the size of a softball, big enough not to loose it, but small enough to be a toy you could throw in your diaper bag. Defintely would reccommend this as a simple, low maintence toy for a baby that's just exploring the world around them.

This toy showed up in the mail yesterday. My 7 month old son just loves it. It is a wonderful toy, with so many features to interest a baby. I found the description difficult to understand, so let me do my best to explain how it works. The crescent sections can freely rotate about the central post, and the inside of each section is a mirror. The sections tend to stack up against one another, leaving one open space (the width of several sections). Then the fun part is sliding the sections across the open space to the other side and hearing the loud "clack" as a section hits the other side of the stack..

Reasons why this toy is good:

It's the right size for a baby to hold and/or bat at on the floor

It has an interesting texture (bumpy)

It's colorful

It has things that rotate (the crescent section)

It has things that spin (the central post)

13" Baby's First Giggles Doll - Yellow Outfit

I bought this for my daughter because she picked it out at the store while we were shopping! She loved the way the baby giggled. The baby doll giggles so sweetly..but it's much cheaper in the stores than online. I don't recommend this doll for younger toddler because it's pretty hard to get the doll to giggle. But I must say, this is one of the dolls she will carry around with her...and hand it to me to make her giggle :)

This toy is very adorable I had picked out a much fancier doll for my daughter but when she saw this one, she just lit up and I knew it was the one for her. I was glad to see that it claimed to be machine washable. When we got it home, and took it out of the packaging, I was reading the directions, and it said that before laundering, you just have to remove the giggle box. I looked the doll over, and it appears that you have to actually open the seam to remove the box. There is no velcro opening. That doesn't really seem practical. Other than that, it is cute for the money.

I was delighted last week to discover Dr. Duck and Snoop and Sniff at my thrift store for a few bucks each. They look gorgeous on a shelf when not in use, fascinate my kids who aren't that interested in toys (2 brothers 5, and 2.5), and satisfy their desires for movement and noise without flashing lights and loud sounds. These are a favorite new toy. My 2 1/2 year old asks to bring his "ducky" everywhere with him. Even Target. That got quite a few smiles :) After seeing my boys with them I would be quite tempted to buy them at the collector prices if I hadn't already happened upon them luckily.

I bought this for my 3 months old baby who was getting bored simply watching the world go by. He totally loved it although I had to attach another of my toy in the middle as the existing ones were too far out of reach for my baby. That said, it's light snaps closed easily and does the trick. It's portable so I take it with me wherever I am in the house, which is awesome to keep baby occupied and supervised at the time. Great product.

Bringer of Luck - Japanese Waving Lucky Cat - Now Solar Powered!

This is cute. In photo it looked like it was a gold color. In reality, it's more like an orange color (plastic). Arm is still waving. It makes some noise, which surprised me since all of my other solar powered novelty toys like this don't. One thing I've noticed with all of these solar powered toys, why do they put the little solar panel on the FRONT! I have them lined up in my window at work. I want them to face ME! Not the outside. I think the solar panel should be on the back. However, even with it on the front, it seems to get enough light to make it work.

***** Update October 2011: Bought this a little over 3 months ago. Worked for awhile, now has stopped working. Have to manually move the arm to get it to start moving (still in a bright sunlit window where it's been from the start), and it moves on its own for a little while, but then stops again!

I really like lucky cats, and have many of them around my home. I keep this little guy in my kitchen window. The one minor thing I have about this product is when the arm starts waving, one of the joints inside squeaks. I used some WD-40 to lube the joint, and it goes away after a minute or so, but I have to re-lube it every few days.

Not bad for the price. If you had this in an office, or a busier place it might not be so annoying, but in the home the squeaking noise can drive you a little crazy after a while. It's pretty loud.

I just received this item today. It's made of cheap plastic but I am not complaining considering what I paid. I love the fact that this is solar powered. I just wish they would have placed the sensor in a better location. Having it in the front makes it a bit difficult to capture sunlight. They should have put the sensor in the back. Then you can put the product in front of a window and have it facing you.
